Amellynne glanced at the address on the pale pink note paper that the matron had given her. The address on the paper matched the address on the giant house but... this couldn't be the right place could it? The matron had said an old friend of hers needed help with something that required skills the matron thought Ame had but this, this was highly unexpected. A politician? There had to have been a mistake, there was no way she was qualified for this. She had faith in her ability to run around unseen, but protecting someone so important? The matron had given her a breif explanation of what the job was about, protect lady Strauss' husband but don't let him see you. What the matron didn't say was that lady Strauss' husband was so important. Ame faltered in her step as she approached the front door, wanting to turn back but knowing she'd never forgive herself if she did. Ame forced herself to step up to the door way, so nervous about the task at hand that she never noticed anyone else that was on the street. She rang the doorbell and nearly fell down the stairs when someone answered. She handed the person a letter that the matron had given her and quickly ducked into a bow. The person who had answered the door, presumably a butler of sorts, let her in and told her to wait in the entrance hall while he told lady Strauss of her arrival.

It was very loud in the guild hall this day. Guild-mates drinking, arguing, fighting, and the only one who was actually quiet was Axel, in his usual seat on a table in the corner of the hall. He was quietly eating his lunch, which was comprised simply of a sandwich and apple-juice. As he was esting, a guild-mate opened the doors to the guild hall, bringing in a gust of wind, as it was windy outside. The gust had reached the job board, freeing a loose job form, and sending it to the table in which Axel resided. Axel finished his lunch and then began examining the job form. "Protect some guy from assassins, huh? without being caught by him? I'm up for it!" Axel thought. He grabbed the form and headed out of the guild hall. After an hour of traveling on train, Axel had finally arrived at royal castle, a large city filled with rich-looking houses.

Axel stopped at the front door of the client's home. He rang the doorbell, and a person who looked like a butler opened the door. Axel showed him the job form, and the butler let him in. "Right this way sir," said the butler. He pointed Axel toward the entrance hall to wait until the client had appeared, and saw another girl waiting there as well. "She must be an ally for the job. She looks a little young to be a mage though," Axel thought to himself. He walked up towards the girl and introduced himself. "Hello, I am Axel Rover, and you must be my partner for the job!" Axel said enthusiastically. He then held his hand out, hoping the girl would give him a hand shake.

Amellynne looked up nervously. Another man arrived and had been led to the entrance hall as well. She ducked her head in greeting and timidly shook the man's hand.

"It's nice to meet you sir... My... my name is Amellynne Sairioh. I... I'm sure it will be a pleasure working with you."

Ame quickly dropped her hand and stepped away when she could. There was nothing wrong with him, but he was intimidating... She resumed her nervous fidgeting while she waited, although it wasn't long before the butler-person returned to say Lady Strauss would see them however they would have to take the servant's stairs in order to remain unseen by her husband. Ame nodded and followed quickly after him, looking behind her to see if Axel Rover was following as well.
The butler led them upstairs to a well furnished study. It was large and full of books, charts and maps, and even though there was no dust on the shelves Amellynne had a feeling most of them were left untouched for months on end. Lady Strauss sat regally behind a polished wood desk that looked to be made of oak. Amellynne curtsied to the noble woman before sitting down in one of two chairs that she motioned to.
Lady Strauss waited until both of them were seated before introducing herself and describing their task in more detail. Ame listened attentively while she expressed her concerns about her husband's situation. The man had been targeted eight times already by assassins and Lady Strauss was worried. Lord Strauss was far too stubborn to ask for help so she had sent the request secretly, it was their job to protect Lord Strauss and stay hidden.
