Destroy the Moon! [Shine Like the Moon, Mari and Simon]

Simon was now sailing through the night sky in his partial phoenix form, Tzar dragging behind him. His attempts to stall the werewolves were appearing temporary at the absolute best as only seconds later they were already back on his tail. Being optimistic Simon thought at the very least it was better for them to be on his tail then out slaughtering defenseless innocents. That was better right? He was approaching the village when a narrow arrow of blue light shot past his face, just nicking his cheek. Naturally this scared the living day lights out of him and he let out a cry of surprise. Trying to maintain his composure and keep going forward the half-phoenix looked down to see one of the lycans had attempted the werewolf shigun move that had previously injured Simon. At the same time he saw there was a pack running on the ground beneath him just waiting for him to get close enough to attack.

Fearing that his luck was running out Simon tried to raise his altitude. He couldn't keep miraculously dodging everything forever. As if on cue he felt a heavy impact on his back and he was instantly earthbound. Now this naturally panicked Simon at this seemingly random development. A scream escaped his mouth as the blow had incredible strength behind it. He spun mid-air as he fell to see a werewolf omega had ran on the air and delivered a stamp kick to his back and damn did it hurt. Simon struggled to not fall into the clutches of the earthbound lycans and just barely managed to beat his wings enough to stay in the air. However he was now faced with a very difficult threat he had lots of werewolves below and a very strong one above this was going to be a problem. Especially with both sides of the pincer preparing some more crazy werewolf magic martial art things. Fun times.

'Monster Dice' :

Flying as fast as he could towards the center of the village to the glowing building Simon was faced with more then just a few obstacles. Not only was he being pursued by deadly forces but before he got even close to within a mile of the building a trio of Werewolf Omegas jumped from the ground into the air in front of Simon. "Tch this is going to be a recurring theme isn't it?" With a sharp turn the phoenix just barely avoided ramming into the werewolves and certain ass kicking. However that was far from all he had to worry about because the three omegas were in close pursuit coming at him from an angle running on air to try and cut him off again. Simon saw the point where their paths would cross and rushed forward determined to pass them. For a minute it looked like it was going to be easy when the omega who had stamp kicked Simon earlier barked an order to the lycan mooks down on the ground. Instantly in response the savage pursuers all jumped onto their hind legs and a salvo of "Lycan Secret Art..." "Werewolf Martial Arts.... "Lunar Tech..." of all forms and flavors were shot into the air by the werewolves as they prepared to blast Simon out of the sky with everything they had.

Simon couldn't waste time looking back or risk getting cut off by the Omegas but he didn't need to look back to see the glow of countless magic circles forming behind him a short distance away. Just like that he was in a sure-death situation. Behind him was an impending storm of magic and coming up ahead were 3 big bad wolves ready to tear him apart. Simon's only available option was dash like hell and hope werewolves bad terrible aim. He reverted into his full phoenix form for maximum speed and- realized he was being dumb. Just in time too he reverted to his human form and dropped to the ground just as a volley of claw bullets, roar tornadoes, lunar light blasts and every moon/werewolf themed projectile imaginable blasted through the air where he had been flying just a minute ago. Adding to his already supernatural luck the three omegas who had tried to cut off Simon were caught in the enormous blast and were blown a distance off. It was almost certain they would be back but it bought Simon valuable time.

Back to our hero... Simon landed on a back road of the village between shattered houses a short distance from his werewolf posse. It seemed his disappearance from the sky had confused his pursuers severely. In his phoenix forms he smelled radically differently because of his flame so not even the powerful noses of the lycans could help them. Simon silently snickered at his luck that he landed where he couldn't be seen by anything. Now it was a game of stealth, something he could get behind, as long as he stayed out of the sight of the prowling beasts he figured he would be pretty safe. With his godleg magic Simon was certain he could sneak to the heart of the village in little to no time at all. Things were finally looking up, until of course Simon remembered the hundred pound metal ball attached to his foot. Not that he ever forget it was there, it was hard to ignore, he just failed to consider how it would impede his stealth. Simon shook his head he needed to get his head in the moment or else he would be in deep trouble. He stood on top of Tzar balancing on the ball head which was actually rather easy. Looking around he took in his surroundings.

The rubble of the buildings ravaged by the violent transformations of the werewolves provided excellent cover for him and the nearest werewolf was several stone throws away and looking the other way. Still he didn't want to take any more risks so he lowered himself to the ground. Looking towards the source of the glowing Simon saw ahead of him was a large stretch of open ground with no rubble around. He bit his lip if he ran across it would be very hard for him to not get seen by someone. However there was some cover a short distance away, Simon assured himself that if he went fast enough at the right time he could reach the rubble without being seen. He took an awkward runners stance putting his hands to the ground in front of him and set his left leg back behind him, his right leg and tzar were pulled in closer to him so he could push off better. His eyes darting between the few lycans he could see a few distance away he waited until as many were looking away as practically possible. When the optimal moment appeared Simon extended his right leg shoving Tzar forcefully into the dry ground launching himself forward. He soared through the air his head just a foot above the ground as his momentum slowed he pulled up his left leg and then extended it back pushing into the ground as he had with Tzar and shot foward further with renewed speed. Those two steps were all it took for Simon to cross the few hundred feet and he flew straight into the cover of the rubble ducking into the crumbling building.

Seeing as there wasn't a sudden mass of howling and stampeding in his direction it seemed he had crossed the distance unseen.

The rubble of the house provided cover in every direction which was something that Simon liked. Sadly there were many holes and breaks in the walls letting in light and potentially watching eyes. He would have to keep moving and do so quickly. He crawled along the dirt floor to the caved in doorway. Simon forced his way under the rubble and peeked outside to see the back of a werewolve's paw right in front of him. He bit his limp to hold in a gasp and hurriedly pulled himself back inside. Come on Simon you need another way out. He looked to the thatch roofing which was in total disarray leaving many gaps. It presented a decent path for escape however it would leave him on the roof in plain view of everyone. He was being hunted by a werewolf manhunt who saw him as a sacrilegious pariah bent on destroying the moon, an apparently scared object to them, standing up in the open wasn't a good plan. So Simon trying to remember the direction of the glowing building peeked out one of the gaps in the wall and to his delight he found the building easily. Ok there is my target. I should be able to get out through this hole and start moving that way.

With a little effort he pushed open the gap a bit and slipped through. He immediately pressed himself against the wall and glanced around for any nearby lycans. He didn't see any between him and the next good rubble pile, he looked to his right Nothing. and before he could look to his left he heard a loud crunching foot step. Shit the werewolf from in front of the house! Simon feared he would soon if not instantly be caught and threw all his eggs in the run like mad basket. He sprinted across the distance to the next rubble mound as quickly as he could despite Tzar making his steps awkward. He crossed the distance in just over 2 seconds and Simon feared that was going to be too long. He dove into a pit on the side of the rubble mound and snuggled himself in as deep as he could, turned his head outward so he could see anyone coming and waited. He heard a rush of footsteps from the direction he just came from Oh no. Keep calm Simon he isn't calling any of his buddies so maybe you aren't totally screwed. The footsteps came closer and closer and after a few seconds Simon saw the big hairy feet walk past where he had dug himself into. Simon thanked his small frame for the first time in his life then remembered it really wasn't the first time, just the first time in a long time. From underneath the shelf of rubble Simon couldn't really see anything except what was right by his face and anything that moved past. The wolf was still walking around close by, obviously searching. Simon could feel his fate being taken out of his hands and put into luck. The sensation gave him a real sinking feeling.

Simon knew he was in some deep trouble this time. The single lycan was still pacing around the rubble he had chosen to hide under, climbing over it, inspecting every  nook and cranny, Simon could feel it was only a matter of time before his little hiding place was discovered. He wanted to climb out and run away but it wasn't practical, as soon as he ran the werewolf would see him and alert the others not to mention he wouldn't be able to get far before he got pounced. For much to Simon's dismay Tzar was stuck in the small shelf Simon had chosen to hide under. Trying to force it out would leave Simon exposed for way too long and make too much noise. There was just no way in the world Simon could escape with an enemy so close. He needed to lure him away someway somehow. Knowing time was sure and action was needed Simon only had time for the first plan that popped into his head. That first plan was a gamble. He liked his odds as it seemed more likely to work then not, but still the thought of gambling with his life unnerved him.

The time for thought had passed and the time for action was now. Simon pulled his arms up in front of him, his sleeves tearing on the rocky ground as they moved. This moment was the point of no return, once he did what came next it was do or die until the mission was a success or a failure. He swallowed hard and bit the inside of his lip, ask this task of Simon the day he walked into Fairy Tail and he would have run halfway across the world, the time for action was now so with grim determination he clenched his fists and they were instantly surrounded in a brilliant blue flame. He was suddenly a small beacon of sight and smell for the lycans but it was nothing compared to what came next. In an explosion of movement he threw his arms wide and kicked upward with Tzar with all the force he was able. The rubble was thrown back giving Simon the room to invoke his spell, he mentally shouted"Sky Fire!" A teal blue magic circle appeared behind him and 6 blue phoenix's shot out of it and started flying upwards into the sky straight at the moon.

Simon dispersed his arm flames and made a break for the center of town. He really hoped that had worked.

Now with a massive flaming diversion flying into the sky Simon's plan all hinged on one thing. Would the lycan's pursue the phoenix's or the small boy running away. Simon was working on the assumption that the beasts were hunting for a phoenix and that since they were protective of the moon that seeing phoenix's shoot up at the moon would take priority. For a moment as he sprinted through the dirt streets crushing rubble and various shrapnel as he ran with the clunky Tzar it appeared that his plan had worked. Nothing was pursuing him, looking back countless werewolves were all fighting to get a shot in at the decoys which was just fine with Simon. His target wasn't too far away now, the glowing building was straight ahead now and it was only a matter of seconds before he reached it and his mission could be a success. But that would be too easy and today was not the day for things to go Simon's way. Sorry little buddy today isn't your lucky day. For with only 30 meters between Simon and his target 6 menacing shapes dropped from the sky and landed in between Simon and the glowing building.

Six werewolf omegas. Each strong grown men or women made even stronger by their lycanthropy. This really sucked, a ton. Each and every single one of them was a formidable force that Simon would struggle to defeat on his own. Now there were six of them. Simon stopped in his tracks and stared at the snarling beasts. Victory would be impossible, this was journey's end. There was just no practical way Simon could ever defeat so many high level enemies. His legs were shaking, this was exactly what he wanted to prevent. Three of them appeared mildly injured Simon recognized them as the omega's he had a brief run in with earlier when he was trying to bum rush the village. The other three were fresh to the fight and looked ready to go. Those three were already more then enough so Simon doubted the injuries of the others was going to help him much. The combatants stood there for the longest minute of Simon's life. His face coated in fear and terror, his foes were snarling while bearing wicked smiles they knew the odds just as well as Simon did. The phoenix could feel the beatdown already.

After said longest minute of Simon's life had come and gone the 6 omega's made their move...backwards. The beasts were lined up in a straight horizontal line all facing Simon when the two on either edge jumped back and held their fore-paws over their heads as if holding an imaginary basketball to shoot, then the two in the center ran back at them the first jumped and landed on the hand/paws of the first pair the second jumped over them all and clung onto the back of the third werewolf. Then finally the only two not on the strange formation jumped into the air on either side of the third werewolf who in turned grabbed on their fee with his free hands. Simon stared at then blinking furiously never had he ever been so confused. They looked oddly like a giant werewolf made of werewolves. They all looked terribly serious about this as if it was some legendary battle formation, two werewolves making the legs, one as the body, two for arms and one for a head. Simon couldn't help but laugh at the psuedo-fusion.

He wouldn't be laughing long.



The top werewolf howled "Lunar Arts: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan!" Two large blue magic circles appeared, one above and one below the omegas. They glowed vibrantly then let loose a pillar of light that swallowed the werewolves from view. Simon staggered backwards as it had just occurred to him they had just cast an actual spell that was obviously really powerful if it took 6 of them to cast. Whatever this spell was it was bad news for Simon. He didn't like bad news. The pillar of light shot high into the sky straight to the moon after a moment it released a shockwave that blew Simon onto his butt and caused nearby rubble to collapse. The glowing building was unaffected. Simon's decoy phoenix's high in the sky were obliterated and all the other lycans gathered around. They made a giant ring around the plaza where Simon and the omega's were preparing to do battle. Simon groaned escape would be impossible at this point. Simon just had enough time to pull himself to his feet when the vibrant pillar of light finally faded to reveal Simon's new foe.

Simon was not disappointed by his new foe. In fact he was simply terrified and the only thing that he could think as he looked upon it was: This is how I am going to die. As the smoke cleared and the pillar of light faded away the world could see the terrible being that was Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan. The phoenix gazed upward at it's hulking frame in horror, it was simple massive. Standing at roughly 21 meters tall with shoulders 14 meters across, it's legs and arms were freakishly long and bulged with tense muscle. The gigantic werewolf was more then just big it was also obviously packing some serious magic power. Running down it's back was what looked like a ghostly blue bonfire. Simon instantly identified it as semi-solid magic however he couldn't work out a purpose for it being there. However even that was the least of his worries he was now faced with a giant werewolf, 6 omegas in one powerful beast, it's teeth were larger then Heero and it's claws put Leonard's great sword to shame and damn did it's breath stink. Simon felt he could spend hours describing the terrible beast and not make a single hyperbole because one was not needed. Knowing things were about to get real Simon started cashing in on the magic power he had stored in his phoenix cape.

It let out a howl that sounded oddly like a laugh shaking the ground. At that moment Simon realized his facial expression had to be a special kind of dumb struck. Not willing to show weakness in the face of the impossible Simon laughed, stuck out his chest and stared the giant werewolf fusion in the eyes. "Oi oi oi! Is that supposed to intimidate me? You will have to do better! I've beat up stronger beasts then you before breakfast." The massive deity lowered it's head so it's face was level with Simon and it snarled loudly, when it spoke it's voice sounded like six different voices merged into one "Hollow lies. I can smell your fear and see the way your knees shake. You will achieve nothing by acting 'tough' you are doomed. There is nothing you can do, there never was and never will be. Accept your fate on your knees." Simon pulled two things from that, first was this guy needed some toothpaste and second that he was very persuasive. Just falling to the ground and letting himself get killed was oddly appealing at the moment, but Simon was never the type to just roll over and die. Well actually there were plenty of times in his life when he would have happily thrown in the towel without a second thought but not anymore. He bared his teeth at the giant and threw his head back laughing "Who the hell do you think I am?"

"The Fool. With all his worldly possessions in one small pack, the Fool travels he knows not where. So filled with visions, questions, wonder and excitement is he, that he doesn't see the cliff he is likely to fall over. Will the Fool learn to pay attention to where he's going before it's too late? Clearly in your case he will not." Simon gritted his teeth and the insult. His spread his feet wide and balled his fists he was getting real tired of this conversation. Then something came to him, this hivemind werewolf had just used a tarot card to insult him. Why would a savage beast be able to site something like that. The more he thought about it the more Simon saw that his foe was not wild and savage but intelligent. He wasn't sure how this could possibly be as the curse was supposed to send them all into an uncontrollable rampage. In front of him the giant behemoth had lowered himself to all fours ready to pounce in response to Simon's fighting stance. However Simon needed some answers first "Oi now wait a second! All you werewolves are supposed to be completely out of your minds! How could any one of you site a tarot card from memory? Not to mention that you are 6 minds in one body, most monsters that fuse like that aren't capable of a single coherent sentence. Too many conflicting voices."

The giant lycan relax and stood up looking down at Simon from far above. "Took you long enough to get this worked out. It's simple really. We six can speak as we do for we are all of the same mind which allows to speak clearly despite being six in one. Regarding the curse and it's alleged side effect of 'savagery' that was a simple problem to overcome: we were at the eye of the storm. We were not effected." Simon took a step back and shook his head "Woah woah hold up. First that doesn't make any sense and second if you aren't being effected why are you doing this?" The monster let out a rumbling laugh and pointed at the glowing building behind him "You see the building of the brilliant glow. There we activated the ritual that enhanced the effects of the perfect moon, thanks to the ritual not only will the people of the village be turned but so will everyone caught in the glowing. So we activate the ritual as soon as the moon was in optimal position and it created a safe zone from the forced transformation. So here we are in full control of our great power with a savage horde at our heels. Why we do it you ask? The answer is simple, we wish to seize Fiore for ourselves. We shall consume all of Earthland in the glow and the world will belong to the lycans." Simon while taken aback by what he had heard had a sly grin on his face now. "Well you guys are obviously in control of your bodies but it doesn't seem you can control your mouths." Simon held his arms up level with his shoulders stretching out to either side of him "I have to thank you for this talk. Because you gave me all the information I need to make this first move checkmate!"

The time was now for Simon to put the three weapons he had acquired to use. First he began tapping into the magic stored in his Phoenix Cape to recover his magic, which was running low from using Tzar and his phoenix form so much, just to make sure he didn't run out at a critical moment. The giant werewolf monster that was his foe already seemed discontent with what Simon was doing and Simon hadn't even made a move yet. So time and speed were of the essence, fortunately Simon had both. As the colossal lycan made a swipe at Simon with it's massive claws both of them learned two important things, the monster had incredible speed and that Simon could go even faster. "Amo No Murakumo: Yasakani no Magatama! First Movement!" The golden rings on either of his hands flashed a brilliant light and Simon was gone. He now stood behind his foe as their claw smashed into the ground, Simon's right leg was currently glowing a vibrant gold. As his humanoid canine enemy turned around to attack again Simon vanished again "Second movement!"

Simon's right shoulder smashed through the front door of the glowing building as the werewolf behind him tried to figure out what just happened. Splinters of oak sprayed into the room as Simon made his entrance. He had escaped the fight using his ring's Amo No Murakumo's ability Yasakani no Magatama, which simplified was just a pair of flash steps. This allowed Simon to escape and get to his object in less then a second and avoided fighting the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan for the moment.  In front of him was a ghost town of a town hall with upturned tables and chairs and papers spilled all over the place. It would have been eerily quiet  if not for the rampaging fusion wolfman outside. At the center of the long room Simon had walked into he saw an evil ritual looking pentagram circle thingy that was glowing purple. The phoenix instantly knew it was his target. Using the hobbled run that accompanied using Tzar Simon charged the ritual circle. A little too late the lycan fusion noticed what was going on and removed the roof of the building with a swing of his arm. Taking this as his cue Simon jumped at the circle, swung Tzar over his head "Purification!" and brought it down full force as it was consumed in a gold glow.

The ritual circle was blasted out of existence on contact and the purple glow coating the village and surrounding areas vanished in a flash. Simon threw his head back to laugh, he had won, then he saw the massive werewolf still towering over the town hall, still very much a wolf and still very much angry. "Looks like someone jumped to conclusions. That ritual was meant to turn more and more people into werewolves, it had nothing to do with keeping us in this state. You may have stopped the spread but those that have already turned will remain until the sun rises." Simon swallowed hard. This was a whole new level of bad. He reached into his pocket and drew out a flare with a single motion he uncapped it and lit it with his phoenix fire. Instantly a flare was shot into the sky and exploded 100 meters into the air leaving a glowing Fairy Tail emblem the size of a house hanging in the sky for several minutes. "Sorry to burst your bubble Von Wolfenstein but I just called the cavalry. With the glow gone, the sky is clear for them to come and kick your ass! Simon smiled confidently and silently prayed that someone saw his signal.

A top the roof of Fairy Tail's hall. Leonard laid down to overlook the land. It hadn't been the same compared to years before. The eerie night blew a soft gentle wind. The relaxing atmosphere made him forget that he felt that he wasn't strong enough anymore to protect Fairy Tail. To be a man they can look up to. He looked at his hand and wondered if he could ever be that man again. He sighed and clenched a fist. Vowing that he must be strong for all them no matter what. Though his trip to the other lands helped with it. Leonard felt that he needed more. Or at least prove that his new found strength was enough to help his family.

Fortunately, an opportunity presented itself. At the side of his face there was a red glow. He turned to face the direction where it was and there he saw a floating glowing red orb in the sky, slowly falling down to the earth. At first he didn't know what it was for, but he remembered that Fairy Tail guild members were given a flare gun the other day to signal that they needed help. That made Leonard stand up and see more clearly where it was coming from. As he looked down, he saw a dark eerie town. Obviously it was the Haunted Village, and without a moment more to loose, he dashed towards its direction, leaving a trail of smoke behind him as he tried to run as fast as he could towards the village's location. Though it might take some time for him to get there, he didn't want to use his magic to speed things up. Because Leonard wanted to conserve his magic for the coming battle. And as he ran, he thought of all the things that he could be fighting when he got there. But none of them scared him. In fact, the more he thought about it, the more he got determined to show his power. He wanted to become the Blademaster everyone knew. And that determination was enough to speed him along his way.

He came upon the gates of the village and opened it wide. There was no one there so he tried to shout out and await a response. But what replied was a eerie gust of wind. With his sharp eyes, he observed his environment. And after a while, he heard snarling. What could those snarling be? It is true enough that the Haunted Village is a very mysterious and even considered dangerous place. He went on his guard and waited for events to unfold before he will unleash a flurry of wind and blade.

The Blademaster would not be disappointed by the opportunity for crazy heroic he would be presented with. Unless he had stupidly high unreachable standards of doom in which case he would be sorely disappointed. If that was the case he would just have to suck it up and be a man, there was no way Simon was going to get himself into deeper trouble just to satisfy one man's need to be a hero... Erm anyway. At present Simon was stalling for time facing down the second largest monster he had ever seen. At present he was still in the ruins of the town hall that just got leveled. The perpetrator: ttanding at 21 meters tall with biceps bigger then Heero's entire body the giant werewolf was a nightmare inducing sight. But Simon stood his ground starring it down, anything to buy another minute for help to arrive. The furred giant gazed down at Simon "You won't live to see those reinforcements." A silver claw was pulled back as if to throw a giant punch but Simon yelled in responce "I bet you I will!" His voice was laced with spunk and teenage rebellion, fathers all over the world shuddered at the deceleration.

Apparently one of the 6 lycans that made up Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan was a dad as the beast's left arm shook as Simon said it. "Impudent child what makes you think you can survive long enough for someone to run all the way from Magnolia to here?" Simon stared at him. The monster stared back. They stood there for several minutes in a silent stand off as the lesser werewolves amid the rubble of the village watched on. The giant growled and yelled violently "Well how?! You can't stall me with words forever!" Simon grinned "Words do have limited capacity, but I can do so much more with silence." From the corner of his eye Simon saw a trail of smoke blazing through the country side, any second the tables would turn in a big way. "What is that supposed to mean!" Simon's coy snarky dumb stalling techniques were obviously irritating his foe "Well......" The phoenix mage rubbed his heel in the dirt and looked down like a child who had done something bad as he continued as slowly as possible "I don't know how to put this..." Gurren Lycan stomped his feet in frustration incapable of comprehending how annoying a single child could be. "Gah never mind your nonsense! I don't need to understand your demented and screwy thought process to kill you!" He threw that punch he had been holding back for a while, but Simon saw it coming a mile away and jumped backwards out of the way with his incredible god leg speed. From the corner of his eye Simon saw the gates of the village open the sight set a fire in Simon's eye "Checkmate bro. Your shit is wreaked, the blademaster is here."

Back at the gate of the village, it was still quiet. A man with a tall blade behind his back stood as the eerie wind howled. There, the snarling continued. But as more time went by, more snarling could be heard. It's consistency increased with every second Leonard spent standing still in the middle of the deserted village. Then, suddenly pairs of scarlet red eyes begin to appear one-by-one until finally hundreds of werewolves eyes peered through the darkness. But still Leonard didn't move. His head was looking down, his eyes were closed, and his hands loose. Almost as if he wasn't ready for anything, it's more like he was sleeping. But this was merely a masquerade.

His deception bear fruit as numerous werewolves pounced out of the darkness at the same time. They were fast, Leonard would give him that. So fast that they were able to traverse the great distance between them and him. Until he raised his head and opened his eyes, a fierce gaze upon them and at the same time, a gust of wind burst outwards from Leonard. And there the onslaught started. Equipped with his Lightning Stirrer, he impaled the nearest creature and threw him to the next. Afterwards, waved his spear around him, sending out waves of lightning and wind that would shock more wolves around him. Afterwards he charged forward with speed fast enough for the wolves not to catch him. And as he ran, he changed his weapon to twin blades slicing in different directions to cut more wolves, though they could not land a single attack because he stayed low. Until he came to a corner where they can only come to one-by-one.

But then, he heard a crash in the distance. He split his focus, his eyes, looking towards the direction of a towering beast while his hands brought about werewolf death. That must be where Simon is. he thought.

At that moment, a werewolf parried his blade and in an instant he returned his focus at them. He turned the sword to a spear again and pushed it further towards the werewolf and sent it lying to the ground. Afterwards, Leonard stepped on it and gather much strength and jumped high up into the air. Higher than the towering beast itself. And in the air, he charged the spear with lightning and charged towards the beast, looking like a bolt of lighting in the sky. He struck the beast in the torso, creating an explosion of lighting pulling it out before it sent it crashing down leaving a cloud of dust and screams of pain. Leonard in turn landed beside Simon breaking the ground where he landed.

Simon let out a cheer as the lightning strike sent the giant lycan to the ground. When Leo landed next to him Simon grinned like an idiot "Hey Leo! Thanks for coming. I was really getting tired of small talking with that guy." The phoenix mage could already feel his luck changing with his Ex-Guildmaster present. "Just a quick rundown. Mari vanished to god knows where a few minutes ago. These werewolves are completely out of their minds. They aren't in control of their actions except for the big one. Try not to kill them if possible they are innocents." As he said it the large werewolf Leonard had struck brought itself back to it's feet laughing. It looked at Leonard and spoke in what could only be described as a tone of silent fury. "That was a hell of a hit there. But it will take a bit more to fell me." Simon took a fighting stance and coated his arms in blue flames as he added "By the way this guy is really strong, he is made of like 6 omega wolves or something." It looked like the time for talk was far passed as the giant lycan attempted to stomp on the two.

Simon easily dived out of the way landing on his feet a few meters away. Doing so he kicked off Tzar, bloody thing was draining more magic then it was worth, and was ready to start the fight using his usual methods. Simon crossed his blazing arms in front of him then swung them wide "Phoenix Meg- Before Simon could finish his spell a blurred comet shot up from the ground a distance to his left and collided with the head of the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan. The beast was sent flying and Simon accidentally dropped the f-bomb. The "comet" fell to the ground a few meters in front of them and the flames cleared to reveal a large golden colored werewolf that had flames dripping from it's mouth. Simon blinked "Uh remember how I said the big one was made of Omega's? I think we just met the alpha." The alpha roared at them, seeming more like a lion then a wolf at this point. The Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan once again pulled itself to it's feet snarling at the alpha. Simon had no idea what was going on anymore. "So is the gold one on our side or did this just evolve into a three way battle?"

As Leonard stood beside Simon, he began to cheer and generally be like an idiot. Though he wasn't exactly an idiot, it was simply the closest thing he can describe Simon that time. However, Leonard simply looked at the giant enemy and not moved an inch while Simon gave him a debrief. Two things rang in his ear. First Mari was gone. How could that happen to her? And what will happen to Fairy Tail now? It was a very confusing and crucial matter. And what's worse is that he can't pay much attention to it as it deserves because of the enemy before them. He simply held on to faith in Mari's abilities. Maris is strong, so no matter what happens to her, Leonard was sure that she was alright.

Second was that the werewolves are innocent. It was quite the sting for Leonard to hear that. Given that he just sliced a lot of them back at the village gate. A comical pencil expression and a sweat drop appeared on Leonard's head as he looked at Simon. "Uhm... Right... Okay..." he said, trying to get something good to say. But everything became serious again as the Omega thing rose up again and commented Leonard regarding his attack. "You already thought that was quite a hit? I pity you, fool." he replied in such a insulting manner as he tries to defeat the enemy in a mental game. Which kind of worked seeing as he attacked head on. "He's strong, we're strong. It makes no difference to me. Let's go Simon!"

Leonard hopped to the opposite side and slid back a few inches as he landed with his feet and one hand, while he used the other one to equip a greatsword. He was about to jump towards the enemy when suddenly out of nowhere a mysterious object engulfed in flames tackled their enemy to the ground. When the flames died out, it revealed a more majestic creature that looks stronger. But Leonard got more hyped up instead of afraid. There was that grin on his face again "This evolved to us killing two giant wolves!" he shouted out with eagerness as he jumped out to equip the Jigoku and use the Hellfire technique. With the spell's area of effect, the two beats would be bombarded by waves of fire. And afterwards, Leonard changed his weapon to the Sky Heart, lashing out winds that could slice through objects as he went down.

Simon nodded and re-coated his arms in flames, it was time to get to work. Running away and coy mind game time was over it was time to step to the fight. Simon using his god leg magic for a boost jumped at the massive werewolf with an excited grin on his face. In response his foe swung it's right claw at Simon to try and knock him right out of the sky the boy was hanging mid-air it looked like he had no real way to dodge the attack yet he was smiling. "White Walk!" Simon extended both of his legs downwards as fast as he was able and then much to the surprise of the giant omega: Simon jumped off the air. Video game characters all over the world watched in envy as Simon performed a real life double jump sailing over the incoming claw. "Not going to get interupted this time!" Simon crossed his arms over his chest, as he did so the blue flames on his arms grew bright, then after moment he swung them wide yelling "Phoenix Mega-Flare!" From wing tip to wing tip a blast of vibrant blue flames exploded out from Simon blasting the massive wolf in the face.

In response the lycan threw up it's free hand to block the attack. It laughed "A nice attack but not near strong enough to deal real damage without a direct hit." Simon grit his teeth, still firing his beam, he yelled "You say that but I can do this all day and while I do..." He looked back to Leo "Do the attack thing while he is too distracted to do the block thing!" But before the words even left his mouth the golden alpha delivered a flaming punch to the silver omega straight in the gut. The impact sent the giant monster reeling, instinctively Simon yelled "Thanks!" to the alpha but then it quickly turned mid-air and did a horizontal kick in Simon's direction which sent a blade of fire sailing at him. Simon yelped and flapped at the air with his flaming wings to just barely avoid having his face burned off. "Okay golden one confirmed as not a friendly! Just not a friendly to the silver one either!"

As Leonard slid down back to the earth, he had the opportunity to watch Simon work. And he was glad to see that he has improved since the last time he saw him. Which was during his Rank Up exam. He couldn't even barely dodge the lightning strike Leonard used on him. But now, he was barely touched in mid-air. Now the battle seems to getting more messy with the arrival of the Alpha. And though he would be a great help against the Omega, who knows what it can do afterwards. Leonard thought that maybe the Alpha will devour and assimilate the Omega into itself and become a more... gigantic and... problematic. Which is why Simon suggested that Leonard get into the fray once again.

Fortunately, as Leonard was falling, he was already charging up for his next attack. Moving the currents of the wind so that everything will run smoothly as planned. For unknown to all of them, Leonard has influenced the winds with his Sky Heart so that they wouldn't move much from their current location. For he has planned to strike with his Earthshaker. Then it happened when Leonard neared the ground, he changed his Sky Heart instantly with a flash of light to the huge Earthshaker hammer, and at that moment, he held the weapon over his head, prepared to strike the earth.

When he landed, he brought the hammer down and a loud crash was heard everywhere near and in the village. The impact, due to magical power and Leonard's strength caused a massive shockwave to ripple outwards from Leonard, breaking the ground and causing damage, destroying whatever it came across. The Alpha enemy was an example. It felt pain rush through and under him, as he screamed and raged while loosing his footing and fell. The Omega had it worse since he was already down making the wave ripple and injure his entire back.

And now that both their enemies are down, it was an opportunity to strike quickly. So Leonard shouted to Simon "Move! Now's our chance!" with such enthusiasm as he changed his weapon again instantly as he ran. This time it was the Lightning Stirrer again. But unfortunately, both their enemies are big and strong. Despite the damage they took, they were still able to get back up and manage a kick at the same time. That Leonard, did not anticipate, but was he was quick to react and thus he got to block it before it came contact with him. It did knock him back a few meters and hit a wall with a crash.

Simon recovered from his last dodge just in time to see the effect of the Earthshaker Hammer in action. It sent shivers up his spine seeing the two werewolves blown off their feet. The power looked like something from a legendary monster or something. Leonard really was everything Simon had ever heard about him and more. He did a mid-air dive at the werewolf alpha at Leonard's signal. However Simon would be shocked speechless yet again as both werewolves quickly moved to their feet and synchronized a kick to send Leonard flying. Maybe a year ago Simon would have just stopped and gave up at the sight of such monstrous power. But now Simon knew he was a bit of a monster now too. He continued diving at the two werewolves who were now conveniently right next to each other. "Phoenix Impact!" Simon switched from partial to full phoenix in mid-flight in preparation for his attack. Then when just a short distance from his foes, who had turned to prepare a counter attack or block or to dodge or whatever they were planning to do, he began spinning like a drill and his speed more then tripled. This caught both werewolves off guard and Simon was able to slam into them without them being able to dodge or block. If he had been going that fast when he had started the attack they would have been able to block it so it was the surprise that really got them off guard.

Both were knocked back several feet as Simon exploded in a blast of brilliant flame. Simon reformed seemingly out of thin air in his human form a couple meters back from where he had detonated. Despite Simon being right in front of them both werewolves seemed more concerned with Leonard a distance away. This naturally ticked off Simon"Oi don't take your eyes off me! Leonard isn't the dangerous one it is me!" He pounded his fist on his chest "Don't you dare ignore me!" Simon pointed both of his fists at the two and the ring on both of his hands flashed a golden light. The silver omega whined "Not this again..." The phoenix mage grinned "Amo no Murakumo: Yata No Kagami!" From the gem on both rings a blast of light shot out and collided with the giant omega with a loud boom. However the flaming alpha had easily seen the attack coming and jumped out of the way. Simon lowered his rings and readied himself for whatever came next. For the rest of the battle he would have to be thrifty with his magic, he had already taken in all the magic he had stored within his phoenix cape and his natural reserve was also heavily taxed.

Though Leonard had been knocked back onto a wall with such force. Though obviously it was, judging from the size of the monstrous creatures that struck him, it wasn't that hard as anyone would expect. Though he sunk in the wall, he got out, pulling his arms, feet and finally his entire body out of the wall, and when he was out of the wall completely, the wall crumbled down behind him but he didn't give it any attention as his eyes were fixed towards the fight.

Simon had grown much since he saw him about a year ago. The young lad stood his ground and pulled off wondrous feats himself. He was no longer afraid of what may come. It was truly a sight to see and Leonard felt honored. He actually just wanted to stand there and watch Simon. Especially when he pulled off the flashy blue fire spell that made him explode and reform again a few meters back. It was quite the feat indeed as well when something burst out towards the Omega. Although the Alpha evaded, it was incredible nonetheless.

And that is when Leonard felt that he needed to get back in action. Once again with the Lightning Sitter in hand, Leonard jumped straight up into the air above the Alpha. With the speed he possessed, he was able to see quickly where his target would land from its jump. And when he got a clear spot of where, he shouted "Outburst!" and fired a violent burst of lightning from the spear. The ray was fired downwards at the Alpha making him crackle and burn it lightning. And it even made the Alpha feel that everything around him was trembling. Who wouldn't be if you're inside a ray of lightning? The ray stopped and Leonard would free fall to the roof of a nearby house while the Alpha fell to the ground smoking and shocks would occasionally spark from it's body. However, Leonard fells that's not the end yet. Leonard could still feel life from both creatures as he looked upon them with cold stern eyes.

Simon's plan to conserve his own magic power was to instead use his weapon's separate magic source. Simon held his right hand open over his left hand as if gripping and invisible sword "Gather Amo no Murakumo!" and with a flash of light from his jeweled rings a sword of golden light materialized in his hands. At present Simon was facing down the towering omega werewolf, preparing to take it down a size. Remembering he was in the presence of the blade master himself he quipped  "Oi leo! Try not to pay much attention to my form, I don't have any." With that he charged his lycan enemy. It was true though, Simon had no formal sword training and this was his first time really using Amo No Murakumo in combat as a sword. He jumped at his much larger-then-him target holding the light sword over his head preparing to try and do some damage when his third most embarrassing moment to date occurred. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan opeened it's massive maw and ate him in a single bite. It took Simon a moment to process what happened because it occurred so quickly.

One second he was flying through the air about to (poorly) perform a mid-air sword slash thing the next he was sprawled on a giant wolf's tongue. Losing his concentration Amo no Murakumo vanished and before Simon could even stand up(much less resummon his sword) the lycan pressed it's tongue against the roof of his mouth, knocking the wind out of Simon, before tilting it back and letting the poor boy roll into his throat. If ever asked to describe what being swallowed felt like Simon would avoid answering, it was that unpleasant. He was slimy, his ego stabbed and was currently free falling down a giant esophagus. The poor boy knew if he didn't act fast he was gonna learn a lot about the digestive system but with the wind knocked out of him he was struggling to do anything productive.  Simon could see the end of the tunnel that was this wolve's throat and knew that directly after it was  stomach acid central. For some reason that shocked him into action. He glided over to the wall of the esophagus and placed his foot on it and pushed off. This launched him up and to the other side of the throat where he repeated the process to get higher up.

Before long he was wall jumping his way out of there. On the outside the werewolf was clutching it's throat in pain, apparently having your inner tissue used as a spring board wasn't a pleasant feeling. The struggle is real. After a great deal of effort Simon worked  his way back to the mouth and made a break for freedom running on the omega's tongue. "Heh guess I should be greatful this guy never learned to chew." As if on his side the omega opened his mouth just enough for Simon to jump out, which he did-almost. Halfway in and halfway out the gaping maw Simon was seeking to escape slammed shut. He screamed as the jagged teeth dug into him from both sides, it felt like he was going to get cut clean in half(in a not at all clean way). Always one to go out with a bang Simon coated himself in blue fire and balled his hands into fists, he wanted to deliver some cool dieing movie line but just barely manged to yell "Rebirth Flame!" With that he exploded into a ball of vibrant blue fire that encompassed the omega's entire head. The giant fell backwards, smoke pouring from it's mouth, ears, nose and somehow it's eyes. It was defeated, all that was left of Simon was some ashes accumulating next to where the big bad wolf lay it's head.

Leonard watched Simon closely. It seems he would deliver the final blow. This was his job after all, and after all that has happened, he was simply glad that he was able to see such an outstanding feat from Simon. Out of nowhere, a blade was created from Simon's hands. Possibly because of the bracelet though. But the weapon that sprang forth was still incredibly magnificent. But something worried Leonard as the weapon came to be. The way Simon was holding it. It was simple and reckless. Predictable to say the least. He thought that maybe Simon may be in trouble so Leonard sprang into action once again.

He equipped the Sky Heart and dashed towards the enemy. But something made him stop. Something so terrible that almost made Leonard feel like a failure. For as Simon jumped towards the giant wolf thing, its mouth met Simon and devoured him completely. But as always, Leonard wasn't one to loose hope easily. He believed that there was still a way. He thought of slicing the wolf open to free Simon as he continued to charge towards it with a grin and a very angry face. The wolf was ready to meet him. He prepared for what he thought the Blademaster would do. But something happened that they both did not expect. Something that made them both stop and wonder what it was.

There was an infernal sound, a stomachache maybe? But whose? And then it looked like someone was punching the wolf. It started from the wolf stomach then it was starting to get up. The wolf was greatly irritated and it started punching and clawing back. But it really couldn't hit his "invisible enemy". But Leonard had a pretty good idea what was happening and only laughed and watched. p to the point where Simon got bitten by the huge teeth. The sight made Leonard tingle and charge again. But it looks like Simon had more tricks up his sleeve and impressed Leonard once again as he turned into fire and back to a kid, while dealing a huge amount of damage to the enemy. After that, Leonard approached Simon and said "Well, that's that. Good job, Simon. What now?"

There was nothing left of Simon but a pile of ashes, but that was all he needed. After a moment the ashes caught fire, engulfed in a blue blaze, and Simon regenerated from his own ashes. He pulled himself to his feet as the fire died off, miraculously his clothes regenerated with him, he rolled his shoulders and stretched a little. Coming back from the dead really made a person stiff. "Well, that's that. Good job, Simon. What now?" Simon looked up to the blade master and grinned "Oh you took out the golden wolf then? Did you by some off chance figure out how it was using fire magic?" As if in response to both questions, some twenty meters behind Leonard the werewolf Alpha came crashing through a half standing building. Simon was about to spring into action but as he moved just slightly he was overtaken by nausea and collapsed to his knees "Shit revival sickness. Bad time for this!" It really was a bad time for this because the golden werewolf was about to capitalize on this opportunity. It threw back it's head, standing on two feet, sucking in air before throwing itself forward on to all fours roaring!

"Fire Wolf's Roar!"

Simon watched helplessly as a massive blast of fire erupted form the beast's mouth. Seeing the attack the phoenix was hit by a hell of a revelation "Wait is that..." He never had time to finish his sentence as the blast of flames over took him. To keep it simple, it hurt like hell. Despite being resistant to fire the fire burnt Simon badly and sent him flying backwards. As the fire died down he was left tumbling on the rocky ground before coming to a halt facing away from the Alpha. He was already in sorry shape before the attack and now he was really messed up, someone without his resistance to flame probably would have had their face burned off. But Simon did have his resistance to flame so his pretty face was safe. Simon could only hope Leonard got out of the way of the attack or else they were really in for it. Especially if that lycan was who he thought it was.

Looks like everything was over now. Both of the monstrous creatures have been felled. It was quiet now. The wind also blew a different kind of wind, a more relaxing wind. Yet there was still something that made Leonard uneasy. And though there is most likely, or probably a time to celebrate but his guard was still up. As Leonard stood by Simon's side he was asked a question to which Leonard replied "I didn't get the chance to see it cast any spell. I downed it instantly." But as he said those words, he remembered his battle with the Alpha wolf. He did just singe the creature with lightning. But that probably wasn't enough. That maybe the beast could spring out at anytime. Which is why Leonard subtly stepped to the side. Preparing to evade whatever may come.

And his suspicions and preparations were sound as the Alpha wolf made his entrance. Both were ready but Leonard didn't make a move yet. But Simon did. Unfortunately he is unable to as he was greatly weakened by his revival. What's worse is that the wolf already made an attack. It was quick too and they won't be able to make it. So he had to move out of the way by side-stepping to his right, and sliding off a few meters more. while Simon took the hit.

Leonard grinned in anger. He wasn't able to help Simon. Or it looked that way. He can heal him instantly with one shot now. The wolf draw his attention at Leonard now commenting "That was quite a burn you gave me. But that's not enough to fell such a powerful creature such as myself. Now you'll pay the consequence of foolishness with your life!" And he quickly sent a punch towards Leonard that created a huge crater and a massive explosion of debris and dust. But he wondered why when he lifted his fist, Leonard's body didn't lie broken and dead there.

That was because was able to blink out of the way and overhead the alpha with his Void Keeper. Now Leonard was holding Archangel and replied "Thanks for the compliment. Now pay the same price! BLESSING OF HEAVEN!" the blade radiated with light and he sent forth a vicious massive wave from it, striking the wolf, slicing it in half. The wave continued to go and pass Simon and heal him completely. Afterwards, Leonard landed on the ground softly by the help of the wind.

Simon pulled himself to his feet and brushed himself off. Blue flames danced all over his body slowly mending his few injuries not covered by the blessing of heaven. "Yikes Leo. You really don't mess around. But-" He grimaced at the sight of the alpha wolf split in half, he really hoped that it wasn't who he thought it was. The mage bit his lip as the lycan's fur retracted and it shrunk back into a normal human. Simon let out a sigh of relief as the body of no one he knew was revealed. "Whew. For a second I thought you had just cut Mari in two there." As he said it on the horizon a beam of orange light painted the sky and the sun nudged it's way into the sky. Simon turned to see it "Looks like day has broken Ma- Leo." As he said it the various werewolves around the village began to revert to their human state and regain control of their own minds. Simon laughed and scratched the back of his head, it seemed everything was taken care of. "I rea- We really did it."

Within an hour everyone in the village would be conscious and accounted for. No one from outside the village was harmed. With some help from Simon's healing flame all the villagers who were injured in their werewolf state were saved. With the exception of the werewolf alpha naturally. The 6 humans who became the omega's who formed Tengen Toppa Gurren Lycan would later be tried and imprisoned for endangering the town with taboo magic. Simon was just happy there was only a single causality. However there was still the pressing question of what happened to Mari. Before departing the village he turned down the jewels and amulet offered because he failed to keep the alpha(who he later learned was name "Jennis Miles" a local fire mage) alive through the night. Then he left Leo with the words "I have to go find Mari, go ahead and return to Fairy Tail without me." Without waiting for a reply he jumped into the air and turned into a phoenix before flying off into the morning, on a search that would last over a week and yield no results aside from a crushed heart for Simon.

But that aside...
