Wrecked by fate. That's exactly what these Ruins symbolized. The old houses around it were falling apart, their roofs caving in, their towers crumbling, their gates broken and frost clinging to the mortar.
The unnamed craftsmen who built these structures over a hundred generations ago might be now buried in the ground. The surviving walls have outlived the inhabitants of many kingdoms. The structures have withstood violent storms even when the main gate gave way to nature's fury. The people used their determination and intellect to make this city stand tall on the ground. They set up a strong foundation, a marvel; boasting of majestic halls and strong walls. The streets might have been loud with boisterous clamor.
However, fate altered the course of this thriving metropolis and even the most powerful men couldn't withstand the fury of nature. The city builders and warriors perished alike, leaving nothing but the Ancient Ruins.
In this crumbling, falling place, walked two figures. One, a fairly normal-looking young woman, whereas the other being a little girl. To an onlooker, the eight-year old might be quite catchy, as she failed to look like a living human. She was one of the exanimate; the undead.
"Hunting for the Magic Council... Quite a boring and pathetic task, right? But I was out of options." Aedre; the woman accompanying the young girl, stated. The Slayer had been asked by the Guild Master to take Sinali out on a mission, claiming that she had grown quite stronger than the last time Aedre had seen her. As curious as she was, the pinkette was truly interested in knowing of the powers that the undead had developed. Unlike other mages of her caliber, Sinali had proved herself quite early when she managed to kill off Aedre's grandfather, Harland. Zapping the life of a member of the Magic Council is a remarkable feat and that's what kept Aedre interested in the girl.
"I was thinking of making it a bit interesting Sinali..." The young woman trailed off while thinking of Sinali's persona, "How about you show me your true potential today and based on that I fulfill one wish of yours in the end?"
It was nothing but a bait.

Sinali stood silently with one eye closed. To those who knew her this meant she wasn't in her 'serious' mode and was generally more rational and less likely to try and strangle you with your own spinal cord or make you choke on your private parts as she forced them down your throat. Sinali was cruel and sadistic. Her one goal in life was the extinction of all life on the planet so that the undead and spirits could live and thrive. What made this so creepy was that this sadistic love of death was incased in the body of this one eight year old girl. A girl who had recently killed an entire birthday party starting with the the birthday girl as she blew out her candles. It was quite funny to her. As the girl blew out her candles Sinali snuffed out her life. She didn't reply instantly to the words of her comrade. She was deep in thought. Lost in the nightmare she was about to inflict on these 'gem brothers'.

"Giving gifts is never boring Splashy." she said using the nickname she had decided to give Aedre. She tended to give her 'allies' childish nicknames. Aedre was Splashy the water dragon though generally just 'Splashy'. TO Sinali killing people was to give them a gift. The gift of release. "Beati mortui." The next words that Aedre spoke were of much greater interest to Sinali. She offered a gift if Sinali showed her true potential on this mission.

"Your flesh." she replied simply and walked forward a few steps only to be shot twice from five different angles. She slumped down and then her eye creeped open slightly. It seemed the 'gem brothers' were here already. Or some of them at least. It seemed they were gunners. A quick glance showed ten of them. They were in five groups of two. One with a light rapid fire gun and the other with a large powerful gun like a bazooka. One of the groups was relatively close and Sinali whipped her hand towards them causing her arm to stretch. "Get over here." she stated. Her hand became the head of a snake and due to the sudden movement it caught one of the heavy gunners by the arm. He was too heavy to be pulled to her, despite her strength, so instead she quickly retracted the arm and flew at him. The light gunner quickly fired off a shot, but it narrowly missed and thus Sinali got close enough to punch the heavy gunner in the face as he attempted to tear away her grip. The force of the blow sent him flying and dislodged the snake head. She grinned. Whilst her body wasn't heavy enough to pull such a large man towards her she had a lot of strength in her body. That man would be dazed for a while. The light gunner frantically tried to take aim recovering from his shock, but Sinali quickly swung out her 'snake head' hand and it bit into his gun hand forcing him to drop it. Other gunners tried to take aim at her, but she'd positioned herself well enough they'd have to move round to get a clear shot. "Looks like we get to play for a bit. Isn't that fun?"

Even though Sinali's request was strange, it failed to surprise the pinkette. Even though Aedre didn't know her too well, she had heard rumors of how different
Sinali could get. With a chuckle and a nod, the Slayer continued walking beside the young girl as several bullet shots were to be heard from many angles. The undead girl was the first to react, as she immediately set herself to action by attacking one of the heavy gunners.
Without wanting to waste any more time, Aedre ignited both her feet with a powerful stream of water, that surged upto her knees. Locking eyes onto one of the light gunners, the young woman jet propelled herself towards his direction at blinding speeds. Being airborne by a couple of inches, she started with kicking on his face, then moving the kicking leg down and the other leg up into a kick, landing with the first kicking leg, all the while spinning.
Just as her feet touched the ground, the light gunner was still left dazed due to the kick, as he staggered back a couple of steps. Using the opportunity, Aedre unsheathed Eloquence from the scabbard that was attached to her back.
By that time, the gunner had regained his composure; trying to hit her face with the back of his gun.
But being too fast for him, Aedre simply backpedaled as she swung the behemoth-sized sword in the direction of his weapon-wielding arm, while cutting it off successfully.
The gunner could do nothing but let out a loud shriek of pain, as blood splattered onto the ground and attracted the attention of three of his fellow gunners.
Noticing the heads turning to her direction, Aedre quickly snapped her fingers, causing a pair of magic circles to form on either sides of their heads. Other than those three and Aedre, none of the people in the room could figure out what was happening. A small smirk graced the pinkette's lips as she knew the excruciating pain that the men were dealing with inside their heads. While they clutched their ears and fell to their knees for the time being, the Slayer simply observed all of the four, ready to make a move when they did. As of now, she wanted to be fair.

Post by Bass 30th March 2014, 2:49 pm

Sinali's playtime seemed to have been extended further than even she thought because Aedre had used her impressive magical abilities to essentially take four of the men out of the fight almost entirely. With one man she faced dazed and the other now disarmed there were only four men left who could interfere with her fun. Not that she was paying them much attention anyway. She zoomed towards the man whose hand she'd just bitten with the snake head and he tried to raise his arm up to block, but her strength was too great and she heard it shatter under the force of her blow. Sinali might not look it, but as a B rank mage she was very strong and on top of that her bloodline for some reason gave her triple strength. Sure she was a bit slower, but she made up for that by NOT relying on her speed. Hence why she had techniques like the 'get over here' to quickly close distances.

The man let out a scream of agony as his arm shattered and he was launched back. She dropped away from him and dug her feet into the ground letting the 'get over here' arm stretch  before retracting it at high speeds so that she flew at him once more. As he was already moving a bit it was hard for him to dodge and so she struck him again this time with a powerful axe kick to the shoulder which slammed him into the ground with enough force to cause a bit of a crater. It was at that point that the 'get over here arm' wore off, but it didn't matter because with a single stamp to the man's face she shattered his skull and ended his life. "Awww...he didn't last very long." she said and her eye opened a fraction more. She turned to face some of the unoccupied gunners.

Two of them were light gunners and two heavies. The two lights were pulling out secondary guns and aiming them at her whilst the heavy gunners began to take aim with their bazooka-like weapons. She saw this and quickly stamped her foot causing a small crater to form and a dust cloud to swirl up for a brief moment. The men waited, not wanting to waste their ammo, until the cloud dispersed, but were taken entirely by surprise because the girl did not appear to be there anymore. Little did they know that she had moved a few feet to the right of where they 'thought' she should be. She was still there, but she had activated an ability known simple as 'Invisible Girl'. This allowed her, her clothing and her items to fade into the background as if she was a chameleon. If she moved too quickly then she would be obvious, but if she moved slowly then she was near invisible. Even the sharp eyes of a gunner would be hard put to spot her. OF course they could just dump a bunch of ammo into the area, but they seemed cautious about using it. This suited her fine. Now she could creep towards them and catch them off guard. It was like a big game of hide and seek.

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Felicity 1st April 2014, 5:38 am

Aedre was indeed standing calmly, watching her opponents as they writhed in their own pain. But at the same time she made sure to keep and eye over Sinali, afterall, the pinkette had promised her flesh to the young girl; providing that she put up a good show today. And boy, wasn't she doing a wonderful job? Her actions were almost graceful enough to make Aedre feel slightly baffled as to how the undead girl had improved so much. The last time she had seen her was during the happenings in Era and surely her skills had taken a drastic shoot up since then. It had been around one year and Aedre knew for a fact that a substantial number of mages took a much longer time to be stronger. For a fleeting second, the Slayer thought about the potential danger that awaited Fiore if this young girl got to the real epitome of her powers. Undoubtedly, it would be quite beneficial for the guild; that is, if Sinali's loyalty laid with Savage Skull.
There was groan and Aedre could sense movement near her feet, causing her eyes to shift to the disarmed man with trained precision. There was a malicious grin on his face that suggested of something being up, causing Aedre to raise an eyebrow cautiously.
A split second later, blue hues darted to his other hand as the man was certainly clutching something.
"Time for some explosions, eh?" He questioned, as saliva drooled of his lips in an utterly disgusting way.
"Ugh... Did your parents forget to teach you good habits?" Aedre questioned, demanding an answer that wasn't even relevant. With a grimace shading her face, the young woman pierced the heavy sword into the ground beside the man, causing it to crack and crumble slightly. By then the man had staggered onto his feet, about to make the explosive work in some way.
"Not so fast." The pinkette spoke up, as she used the now-steady sword to pick herself up and spin in such a way that she landed a powerful kick straight onto the back of his head. Her enhanced Slayer strength played its part, as the man feel sharply on his knees and careened his face into the ground. With the sound of the man's fellow gunners still echoing inside the Ruins, Aedre wasn't really sure if she heard a bone crack or not, but the young woman had done sufficient damage to not let him stand back on feet for a week or so.
With a disappointed click of her tongue Aedre tried to find the explosive in the man's hand but saw nothing but his fingers tightly balled into a fist. Backstepping sligtly, the pinkette trailed a likely path for it and was left wide-eyed when she noticed it lying right in the middle of the three gunners, who were still dazed due to the after effects of her spell and were clutching the sides of their heads.
A small smirk graced the young woman's lips as she noticed how the situation was going to be in favor of the Savages. Backpedaling quite a bit she tried to maintain a safe distance, while with a loud, ear-splitting BOOM! the explosive set itself on the three men.
It wasn't really capable of harming severly, but as plumes of dust and smoke rose up in the air and three silhouettes were still seen standing behind it, Aedre couldn't help but flash a small, triumphant grin.

Post by Bass 5th April 2014, 2:31 am

The explosion provided a small distraction enough for Sinali to close the distance a bit. It was at that point though that she heard a message in her head and a grin formed on her face. It seemed Perry had finally arrived and had wormed his way into the ruins. He was almost here which meant she would have her full power. Of course, she was just a power boost, but it would be useful. Still, he wasn't here quite yet and there were still these four men to deal with, plus the one dazed guy who was probably recovered by now. Five targets. Only one of them with any damage and all of them armed.

She could probably disarm the four men grouped together in one swift attack and that was what she decided to do. Her mouth opened and her tongue shot out, revealing her presence a lot closer then the men had thought. They were about to open fire on the tongue when suddenly it split into three and two struck the two light gunners on their gun arms disarmig them. The other one struck the two heavy gunners on the legs forcing them to kneel. It was a brief distraction, but enough to allow her to get even closer. Plus, it transferred DNA from all four men to them. She now had a small amount of their memories and now knew the sort of strategy they would likely use. The light gunners would do minor damage to 'cripple' a target and then the heavy gunners would end it with their explosive launching heavy guns whilst the target couldn't dodge easily. Quite a good strategy, but it would take more than few bullets to cripple Sinali of Savage Skull. Besides, now they were disarmed briefly it was time to be a little more vicious.

The tongue slapped the two heavy gunners across the face causing them to scream out in agony whilst the other two tongues sliced into the light gunners other arms. She now had more of their Dna and thus more of their memories. It seemed they also had the last resort grenades and other explosives of that nature. That must of been what the explosion earlier was. Aedre was obviously doing well

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Felicity 7th April 2014, 9:46 pm

The dust and the smoke settled in the next dozen seconds or so; leaving the three gunners behind, their clothes slightly ragged and a good number of burn marks on their skin. They were almost beat up, thanks to Aedre's last spell which gave them a searing headache to deal with and then this explosion that left them in their current state.
Today was certainly one of the worst days of their career.
So, as they prepared their guns for an attack, so did Aedre. The young woman had left her grip on her sword, which was safely dug into the floor and opened her arms outwards.
Preparing to lunge at her opponents, the pinkette turned her arms into water, pressurizing them until they took the massive form of a Dragon's wings; extending to a distance of about ten meters. By the same time, the gunners were starting to take an aim at her, shouting things that failed to reach her ear due to the distance and also the way her concentration was diverted at the moment. She'd crouch slightly, then slam the wings on the ground in such a way that it sent her bursting in the gunner's direction in the blink of an eye. The wings were heavy and helped to increase the speed due to momentum.
One of the men pulled the trigger, as a shot echoed in the air but failed to stop Aedre, since it missed by a few centimeters.
Right now, she looked like a bullet, cutting through the air and as soon as she reached near them, the pinkette slung her right hand forward, slowing herself down while swooping the gunners off their feet as well.
Her feet came in touch with the ground, shoes rubbing a bit crudely as she tried to pull a brake to her speed and slammed her left hand in the gunners direction too.
This last attempt might or might not have hit the gunners, but the left wing had slammed onto the right, causing a massive explosion of water. Surely, the gunners were caught right underneath this explosion that jumped in the outward direction in the shape of a vortex, capable of dealing great damage due to the sheer pressure. Now this explosion had enveloped Aedre herself, but as the water splashed straight onto the ground, the Slayer emerged unharmed; being knowledgeable about the ways to save herself from the effects of her own spells.
However, the same could not be said for the gunner trio, as the sprawled onto the ground, completely drenched in water and knocked out unconscious.
Turning to Sinali, Aedre noticed that the young girl was dealing with five men all on her own, "Need a hand?" The pinkette called out, while the water on her body dispersed into thin mist.

Sinali was not paying attention to Aedre and so did not see her actions nor hear her words. Her attentions were entirely on the four men in front of her. The fifth man came up and aimed his gun, but it wasn’t firing for some reason. The damage from it being dropped earlier must of done something to it. Out of desperation he tried to bear hug her using all of his might. Bones began to crack, but a grin came to her twisted features. Suddenly, her ribs snapped out through her back and surrounded the man in a cage of bone. “Bye bye.” She said as the ribs collapsed slicing into him and ending his life. She had barely even flinched at all.  In fact she hadn’t even stopped her assault on the four disarmed men. In desperation one of the heavy gunners grabbed hold of the tongue attacking them and tried to prevent its movement, but it was to no avail. The tongue simply bent and turned around to him stabbing him through the head and transferring the DNA to her. She now had a much larger amount of his memories. The other heavy gunner  seeing what had happened began to turn and run, but the tongue threw the body of the dead gunner at him knocking him to the ground before stabbing him through the heart. More memories. More knowledge. More power. The two light gunners were trying to back away now, but the tongues wrapped around them and began to slowly constrict.

“Now which one of you had the stronger body?” she asked as the men screamed in agony as they were crushed. Suddenly, an explosion occurred searing the tongue and causing her to winch in agony. The tongues let go of the men temporarily. One fell down dead, he had triggered the explosion but killed himself. The other grabbed hold of a pistol and let loose firing his entire barrel of ammo into her. She staggered back, more from the force of the bullets than anything else, and then all three tongues surged forward stabbing the man from multiple directions. “All gone.” She said as she turned to Aedre retracting the three tongues and merging them back into one normal tongue, ending the spell a little bit early.

It was then that Perry arrived and without a word began devouring the corpses of the dead men. It was a truly gruesome site. A large insect devouring dead humans. To Sinali it was a sight of beauty. “Beati Mortui.”

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Felicity 8th April 2014, 4:42 am

There was really no need to ask Sinali, for Aedre’s question went unnoticed by the undead girl, as she continued to assault the gunners with a wide array of techniques and spells. Since there was no reply, the pinkette simply stood with her hands crossed over her chest, watching the girl kill each of the gunners with innate skill. It was pretty evident that she never needed help in the first place and for a second Aedre found herself wondering as to why she made an attempt to lend it. She only watched silently as bullets seared through the air and hit the eight year old, but she still managed to kill the last one of them. A little chuckle instinctively left the young woman, for she was already sure of having to fulfill the wish that she offered at the beginning of the mission. The undead child had unmatched skill and potential, it was all a matter of unlocking it when the need arises.
“All gone.” Those were the words spoken, as Sinali turned to face Aedre.
’I see why Harrigan wanted me to work with you.’ Taking a step forward towards Sinali, Aedre’s eyes wandered to the bullets that had hit her at various places. “Well, atleast I’ll help you get rid of this.” She stated, taking the girl’s hand lightly by a finger, for some instinct told her that Sinali might not like normal mortals like Aedre touching her. It may have just been Aedre's thoughts, but it seemed too real to ignore.
A second later, a barely noticeable layer of water would extend from Sinali’s finger, enveloping her whole body like a second skin. All the marks caused by the bullets would be sealed off, leaving her flesh as good as it was before. The pain might not leave soon, since the bullets were still inside, but atleast it’ll seem less bothersome.
While, Aedre was doing this, some giant insect had landed inside the ruins and was now happily devouring the dead bodies of the gunners that Sinali had murdered. Aedre recognized it as Perry, Sinali’s constant companion, a creature she had caught glimpses in Savage Skull’s surroundings. It was an undoubtedly morbid sight, but the Slayer had enough experience dealing with these things and so could simply ignore it if she wanted. But, as she finished healing Sinali, several steps started resounding in the Ruins once again. More than a dozen men climbed into the place this time; carrying various kinds of ammunition that was similar to the gunners that were being Perry's food at the moment.
They caught sight of the creature and their fellow gunners fate, eyes widening with surprise as they saw their own future in front of them.

Post by Bass 18th April 2014, 4:23 am

Sinali stared at the men for a moment then her whole body seemed to melt into a pile of putrid smelling liquid flesh. It reeked of decay and death. The whole situation caused the men to pause briefly wondering what was happening. Had they somehow won already? That was when Sinali reformed as a large grotesque 6ft tall figure out of their worst nightmares. Suddenly, near all fifteen of the men 8ft long arms formed that quickly slammed into them and slammed them against the walls pinning them their by their throats. The strange figure that was now Sinali smiled and began to slowly approach them. They were gunners and thus without their guns they were unable to defend themselves.  They struggled as their wind pipes were constricted and tried to pull out their guns or explosives, but it was proving very difficult for them. Suddenly, much to their despair Sinali seemed to melt again, this time pooling into the ground itself. Was she preparing something else or had the spell failed? As nothing seemed to happen the men began to get hopeful and that hope gave them the strength to keep fighting for their weapons.

It was then that Sinali emerged from the ground by one of them and struck with her sharp nails into his stomach and twisted. His body naturally tried to make him scream out in agony, but the choking hand was preventing this. If only they were on the ground they might of been able to fight back, but held against a wall like this it was very difficult. If they hadn't been slammed against it then perhaps they would of had time to fight before the hands constricted, but that was exactly why Sinali had done it.

"You thought I was gone. You thought the game was over." she whispered. "I once hoped that I was free and able to live, but the world said no...my hope was destroyed. Now you know how that feels before you die." she said and with that she stabbed the man through the heart with her other hand killing him.

A bullet tore through her at that point. It seemed one of the men had got a hold of his gun and tried to take her out. She turned that wicked smile on her face as the hand that had been holding the now dead man sunk into the ground and then formed next to the man pinning him by his arm, thus removing his use of the gun. The one around his neck changed its grip so it was now pinning him by an arm as well. He was no longer being choked, but he was unable to move. The man struggled and struggled, but it was no use now. "You're strong mister. As a prize you get to be the last to die." she said and sunk into the ground again. None of the men knew who she would strike next. The place now reeked of fear and despair.

Perry watched with interest as Sinali did all of this. For her it was dinner and a show. It was so beautiful.

Post by Felicity 28th April 2014, 2:50 am

Sinali was a pro, no doubt. She had managed to get hold over all the men present in the Ruins and now had them pinned against a wall. She had ended the miserable life of one of them, while causing severe pain to another one who had tried to hurt her. Aedre had to admit, the girl was only being more impressive as the mission progressed. Not only was she adept at taking out her enemies one-by-one, she also excelled at crowd control.
There was an obnoxious vibe that floated in the ruins; afterall, Sinali had dealed with this in the most perfect way. Fear, that really was the key in most cases.
Aedre tried to ruminate over some strategy as the young undead warned one of the men.
Being slammed onto the walls with such strength, any attack from Aedre just had to hit them, since dodging or getting away was not even an option.
'This should do it...' The young woman concluded, picking up a stance with her right leg behind her and the left leg forward.
Her eyes shifted over to Sinali who was once more a putrid smelling mass of liquid-like flesh. The pinkette found the magic sort of fascinating, afterall, it had a plethora of ways to be used, not to mention, in an extremely grotesque fashion.
"Get back when its time." She stated in a low voice, so that only Sinali, who was next to her could hear it. If she could hear things in her current form, that is. It was all a matter of timing and as of now, Aedre could only hope that Sinali understood her words and would do as she was told. Otherwise, a fail in it, might come with grave consequences.
Preparing herself, Aedre inhaled deeply, filling her lungs with air; which her body instantly turned into water as a part of the initiation of the spell. Gathering a sufficient amount, Aedre cupped her hands around her mouth, blowing all the water out in the direction of the thirteen men; except the one that Sinali had pinned down for herself. It was a massive, spinning jet of water that spread wider as it moved forward.
The water hit all of the men, covering them in a spray that obscured their bodies from Aedre's eyes. The ruins rumbled due to such force hitting its weak walls, as dust and pieces of stone tumbled down from the ceilings and even the keen pair of Slayer eyes could not make out if Sinali successfully retreated her hands or not.

Sinali was very swift in retracting her hands and thus none of them were damaged, but the men were absolutely destroyed by the sheer power of the roar. It was insane in its power. However, what was more insane was what Sinali did next to the man whom was left.

She lifted him away from the wall with two arms, carrying him by his arms, and then two more grabbed his legs and another the top of his head. She smiled. "Beati Mortui." With that the hands began to pull causing the man to scream out in pain as he was slowly torn apart. Seemingly, it seemed that five arms were not enough. So she put a second arm onto the legs and arms and pulled. The man screamed even more and then suddenly he was in six pieces: 2 arms, 2 legs, torso and head. Blood rained down on the floor and the strange being that was Sinali turned to face Aedre. It smiled broadly, but that smile quickly turned to a frown as she felt swords slice into her arms that were above ground.

One of the arms received multiple slices and fell to the blow. She turned to see six swordsman. They looked scrawnier than the gun men, but still a threat. Or so they thought. They were hacking at the 8 arms still above ground. It was then that the other seven emerged from the ground striking each of the men in the groin with a claw strike. They all roared out in pain. What made it worse was that the arms grabbed onto the groin and lifted them up by it before tossing them away into the other arms which struck them in the face. The combined force of the throw and the punch did a lot of damage incapacitiating three of them.

"These ones aren't as much fun." Sinali said sadly.

Post by Felicity 29th May 2014, 5:57 am

A merciless and vile grin was flashed in Aedre's direction, causing a small chuckle to escape her lips. The sight of blood that decorated the floor of the ruins was fascinating for the pinkette, who, even though not a very hell-bent person on killing, had her very own list of favorites. Compared to Sinali, she was much more humane and calm. She failed to possess mercy, but actually enjoyed to play with her prey before ending its pathetic life. Yes, because anything that stood against the way of the Savages was nothing but worthless trash for her.
The young woman's gaze flattened for a split second when Sinali was attacked by five men who seemed to have appeared when the two were busy dealing with the other hunters.
'Fun.' A single word that echoes in her head, as she watched the undead girl attack and successfully incapacitate three of them with beautiful ease.
"These ones aren't as much fun." She stated, as Aedre held both her hands to her side and with a little swirl of wind, out materialized two swords in either of her hands. A light teal and a deep black, the blades shone in the dim slivers of light that dared to bless these ruins.
"Let's see if I can agree with you Sinali!" The pinkette exclaimed, as her body shot forward in the direction of one of their enemies. Starting with a diagonal slash, the woman managed to cut through the skin on his blocking arm. However, at the same time, the other sword made it to his chest and pierced through without a care. It was just like a hot knife searing through a slab of butter, one that caused blood to splatter onto the floor and even on Aedre's hand.
In the same heartbeat, one of his allies tried to attack her with a scimitar of his; only to meet a disappointed result when Aedre blocked it with the help of a backslash that was issued from the same sword that had bathed in the blood of his comrade.
"Don't be a backstabber now." The Slayer spoke with a smirk gracing her lips, while both their blades rested against each other in a test of their own physical strength. The man was attempting to make Aedre loose her footing by using as much strength as possible. Alas for him, defeating a Slayer was really not that easy, because he would soon feel himself backing off towards a nearby wall. With a well devised plan weaved in her head, the young woman tried to stab him with the other blade and in his panic the man moved his scimitar in an attempt to parry the thrust. But only... to feel the previous sword cut a deep slash straight on his neck. Warm blood gushed out of the wound and this opponent too fell on his knees to enjoy the last, desperate minutes of his life.
"You were right girl, they don't pack a punch."

Post by Bass 18th June 2014, 12:50 am

Sinali retracted the arms temporarily and they rose up around herself in defense ready to strike out and defeat the remaining opponents. She didn't have much work to do so though because Aedre used her skills and swords to eliminate multiple opponents in quick succession. It was a pretty good show of skill. yet it also showed that their opinion of these opponents was correct. They were boring and pathetic barely able to defeat the two power mages of the Savage Skull. Sinali didn't even need the defense she had created because with little effort because there was now only one person left. Aedre's skill with her weapons and close combat skills had been too much for these pathetic wannabes.

The remaining opponent looked about wildly for a way to escape and began to run. Yet before he had got even a few feet a group of hands came out in front of him blocking his path. He quickly turned to the left and was once again blocked by some hands. He was quite clever and leapt at the hands and kicked off them going back the other way. That was quite impressive, but where he leapt he was blocked by another two hands. He was surrounded on three sides. He turned back and what he saw were more hands. He had nowhere to go. Yet it seemed like the hands weren't doing anything.

"Boo." Sinali whispered as she formed up behind him. The man let out a shriek not expecting her to appear so suddenly. It was then that the hands struck, all of them at once, stabbing into him. Not enough to do fatal damage, but enough to hurt him badly and hold him in place. Sinali's jaw extended widely and she bit into the man's head tearing off the top of his skull and the brain. She made happy noises as she chewed it. The man was dead but she was not yet finished. The hands began to tear the man apart and throwing it into her mouth. Eventually nothing was left. Not even bone. Slowly her body rippled and reverted to her human form with a blood stained mouth and a grin on her face.

"That was a nice meal." she said in an adorable fashion yet it was also incredibly creepy.

Post by Felicity 21st June 2014, 7:07 am

Watching Sinali chew the man's head off would have been fatal for Aedre's stomach, so to speak. There was nothing more that she could do; other than turn her vision elsewhere and trying to distract herself. Watching blood was one thing, but this was all too gore for her to digest. It was best to just stay out of the way.
    Swoosh!
Something whizzed towards the Slayer's face, as she shifted a mitt to the right and let it move past her, thus only cutting a few strands of her hair and then hitting a stone pillar behind her. Aedre's eyes shifted instantly to follow the trajectory of whatever it was and only traced its source to a nearby entrance that was completely shrouded in darkness.
The grip on her swords tightened, as she recalled the glint of something very sharp. Perhaps, a crystal or a blade of some kind.
"Who's there?" She questioned, albeit not really expecting an answer. Twisted people rarely showed up themselves when they faced a straight question and she was expecting nothing less than twisted in these ruins.
A cackle was to be heard and half a dozen men showed up from the place that Aedre was eyeing all this while.
'Well, well, that's more than I expected.'
Nearly identical to the ones that the Savage duo had just taken care of, the pinkette found it a tad bit hard to believe that any one of them was responsible for the attack on her. She could clearly see blades glinting in their hands, all thanks to the sliver of lights that stabbed the place in various angles due to the roof that had crumbled to nature's might. Besides, there was no magical aura that could be sensed and Aedre was quite sure that an attack that wasn't augmented with magic would travel with that kind of speed.
'The king is missing from the picture.... The seventh man.'
As if providing an answer to her thought and also confirming it, a long shaft of some crystal-like object was stabbed into the wall behind the six men. One could see a folded leg resting on the wall; like someone standing by taking the wall's support.
"You lil' ladies had fun with my minions, I suppose... So brought more for you- and do not fret if you're finished with these; I have a whole bunch." The person whose figure was half-hidden by the shadows spoke, before he took a few steps into the light and stood right behind the six men. His hands folded over his chest; one holding the crystal shaft, the rather young, blue-haired man had a substantial magical aura swathing around him.
"This just got interesting Sinali... Uncle just brought more toys for you."

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Bass 27th June 2014, 2:00 am

Six new toys, seven if you included Uncle. Things were finally beginning to get interesting. However, what these men probably hadn’t realised and which Aedre may not have is that Perry had seemingly vanished during the last set of attacks. Now where oh where could the insect be? Why right above the opponents of course. There was a sudden surge of magic power causing everyone, including Uncle to look up. Sinali grinned as Perry descending, but she was no longer a 4ft long butterfly worm. No, she had assumed her true form. That of a collosal parasitic beast hybrid 30ft long with razor sharp pincers and claws. It was a truly terrifying sight and one which was enough of a surprise for the ‘Parasite Empress’ to instantly kill two of the six blade wielders. The other four were quicker and managed to avoid the blows. As for Uncle he used his crystal make to quickly form a shield which was powerful enough to not only block Perry, but repelled her sending her flying. Still, her surprise attack had been successful in taking out two of the opponents. If it hadn’t of been for the addition of gravity and the boosts provided by the spell then Perry would likely have only injured the men. It would be bad injuries of course, but not enough to kill.
Sinali had used the momentary distraction to get in close amongst the treasure hunters. There was a disappointed look upon her face as she saw how easily Perry defeated two of the treasure hunters. They seemed even weaker than the previous bunch. It was very disappointing. “The toys he brought break so easily.” Sinali said sadly as she extended her wrist revealing a silver snake bracelet on it which began to glow. “Still…it would be rude to turn down Uncle’s present wouldn’t it Mr.Snakey.” With that the glow flowed into her palm and the bracelet turned into a sword. This was her weapon of choice when not using her magic. It was a deadly weapon especially in the hands of someone with Herculean Strength. Plus it had a few tricks up its sleeve like any true snake.

The men were still recovering from Perry’s attack and so were surprised when Sinali began to speak. The surprise allowed her to leap at one and stab him through the eye. What was more surprising though was that the man seemed to leap back so the blow only stabbed the eye and not what was behind it. A movement like that didn’t seem normal for such a rookie hunter. It was then she saw that the floor itself had moved him backwards. The gemstone hunter had used his crystal make to push the man back. It seemed that he at least hadn’t been taken by surprise at her attack.

“Uncle I thought these toys were for us. Why are you spoiling my fun?” Sinali said. His magic interested her, but also sparked a fury in her. Crystals. Lacrima. The Tower. She thought the tower was long gone. She had destroyed it to prove her worth and yet…now reminders were coming into her head. She let out a primal scream and leapt at the crystal make mage using all her strength to propel her forward yet with practised ease the crystal make mage generated his own sword and parried the blow before grabbing her by the head.

“Good girls should be in bed by now. How about a dirt nap?” he said and slammed her into the ground hard. Yet that was not all. As he did so spikes of crystal shot up stabbing into her all over. Yet he had only one hand free. This mage was able to use one-handed maker magic.

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

As soon as she said her last sentence, Aedre wasn't given the opportunity to notice anything that happened in her surroundings, for one of the treasure hunters had made his way in her direction; while pointing his sword vainly in her direction, "Now, last chance for you." He stated, causing a small smile to form on Aedre's features. Seriously, how can people be so over-confident?
However, she didn't reply with even a single word, but only hooked her toe under a rock. She stood waiting, staring at the burly man in front of her, but with another swordsman on the edge of her vision. So well could the Slayer read the movements of men, the slightest muscle twitch, the blink of an eye, that it was she who moved first. Aedre leaped out diagonally, ahead and to the left, rolling over and kicking out with her right foot. She launched the stone the in the other hunter's way, not to hit the man, but in the hopes of distracting him. As she came over into the somersault, she realized that she needn't have worried, for a sword that the other hunter had thrown in her direction, had actually missed its aim badly.
Coming up from the roll, Aedre set her feet and squared herself to the charging swordsman, aware that two other men were coming over to attack her; while Sinali dealt with the Crystal-make mage.
Still not using any of her weapons, Aedre unexpectedly charged ahead, ducking the swipe of the sword at the last possible instant, then came up hard behind the swishing blade, one hand catching the attacker's chin, the other snapping behind the man's head, grabbing his hair. A twist and turn flipped the swordsman on the ground. Aedre let go, running her hand up the man's weapon arm to fend off any attempted attacks. The man went down on his back hard. At that moment Aedre stomped down on his throat; causing the man's grasp on the sword to weaken, almost as if he were handing the weapon to the pinkette.
She leaped away though, not wanting to get her feet tangled as the other two came in, one straight ahead, the other from behind. Out flashed Aedre's sword into use, a straight left-handed thrust, followed by a dazzling, rolling stab. The man easily stepped back out of her reach, but the attack hadn't been designed to score a hit anyway. The Slayer flipped the sword in her right hand, an overhand grip, then stepped back suddenly, so suddenly, turning her hand and the blade. She brought it across the man's body, then stabbed it out behind him. The woman felt the tip enter the man's chest and heard the gasp of air as she sliced a lung.

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

She was slammed into the floor, crystals piercing her body and she let out a scream. The man had her pinned and the crystal was slowly incasing her body. Fortunately, it hadn't pierced her brain or she might not have survived this attack. Perry let out a clacking hissing and went to lunge, but was stopped by a wall of crystal. She hopefully beat against it trying to break through, but it was no use. "Your strange friend won't be helping you and nor will the slayer." The wall had not just stopped Perry. It had surrounded the two of them entrapping them in a dome of solid crystal. Trapped in crystal.

"Never again." she hissed and suddenly the eye on which she had tattooed her emblem expanded and fired off a beam of light. He blocked it easily with his sword, but as it hit the sword it was merely reflected rather than stopped and went back down towards Sinali, back towards the hand that was pinning her down. It hit the hand causing the man to yell out and leap up. She rose to her feet crystals still embedded in her body. She was a twisted macabre sight. "I will not be trapped by crystals again uncle. Never again." There was a calmness to her fury. A strange calmness at that. In a way it more unsettling then her earlier primal fury. It was as if she had frozen the fire and made it into a weapon. Even though the mage was powerful and she was a mere slip of a girl he took a step backwards. Her eye was still expanded giving her expression an even creepier twist. She did not remove the crystals. She merely walked forward the man dropped his sword and used both hands. This time he shot a huge array of spikes towards her. She merely kept walking. The blades cut into her deeply, slowing her, but she did not stop.

"What are you?" he said as he prepared another spell this one forming a werewolf of crystal that lunged at her.

"I am what I am." she said and punched the incoming werewolf straight in the head. The head shattered like glass cutting into her hand, but the beast fell and she walked over it slowly, always getting closer to the man. "I am the End." The man snapped his fingers and the barrier fell away. It seemed he was hoping to placate her, seeing something inevitable in her walk towards him. Something he couldn't stop. He gestured round indicating her freedom. "No uncle...the damage is done." she fired off the second blast of her eye hitting him in the shoulder. He flinched, but it seemed the power of her attack, or lack of, made him laugh.

"No little girl. I am the End, the end of you." it seemd fear was at an end. Such a shame. It had been a fun game, but Sinali did not falter or stop she continued to walk towards him. He focused using both hands once more, a sure sign of his seriousness and formed a group of knights composed of crystal. "But why dirty my hands when the crystal you so hate will do a much better job."

Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali Empty Re: Savage Hunters | Job | Aedre & Sinali

Post by Felicity 11th July 2014, 1:24 am

Instinct alone had Aedre spinning, turning to the right and keeping the attacker impaled. She brought the man about as a shield against the treasure hunter who had previously tried to throw a sword in her direction- but this time, he had turned an archer and was indeed trying to fire again. But, the man missed badly, and this time the arrow burrowed into the ground several feet in front of the pinkette.
"Idiot." the Slayer muttered, and with a sudden jerk, she dropped her latest victim to the dirt, bringing the sword about in the same fluid movement. So brilliantly had she executed the maneuver that the remaining swordsman finally understood his folly and stood in fear, shaking in his very boots.
With a click of her tongue, Aedre spun again, threw one of her swords in the general direction of the archer, and bolted for cover- but at the same time, she grabbed hold of the collar of the standing man. The woman became one with the shadows and she grabbed the man along with her. Her body would only coalesce behind a broken down, age-old pillar. At that very moment, her sword would pierce the treasure hunter's chest from the back; while her other hand muffled his mouth.
The second the man's beating heart would cease, the pinkette turned to the shadows once again.
A long moment would slip past.
"Where is she?" the archer called out, obvious fear and frustration in his voice. "Harry, do you see her?" He questioned the hunter that laid on his back; the one that had Aedre trample on his throat.
    Another long moment passed.
"Where is she?" the archer cried again, growing frantic, "Harry, where is that goddamn girl?"
"Right behind you." Came a whisper, as one of Aedre's sword flashed into the man's vision, slicing the bowstring and then, before he could begin to react, rested against the front of his throat.
"Please." the man stammered, trembling so badly that his movements, not Aedre's, caused the first nick from that fine blade. "I have children, yes. Many, many children. Eleven..."
He ended in a gurgle as Aedre cut him from ear to ear, bringing her foot up against the man's back even as she did, then kicking him facedown to the ground.
"Then you should have chosen a safer career." The woman answered, though the man could not hear.
Peering out from the rocks, the Slayer soon spotted the fourth of the group, moving from shadow to shadow across the way. Apparently, he had found enough strength to stand up and give a trial to running away. The man was obviously heading for a stronger power to help him, but was simply too scared to jump out and run in the open. Aedre knew that she could catch the man, or perhaps re-string the bow and take him down from this spot.
But there would be no fun in that, right?

Sinali walked forward slowly looking at the crystal knights. She hissed and pulled out one of the shards and threw it with force. It hit one of the crystal knights with enough power to instantly shatter it. "I do not fear your crystal Uncle. Nor do I fear you." she said and threw another shard. This time as she did two extra arms formed at her side. "Now i'm Armed and Ready." she said hurtling a flurry of shards as the knights advanced on her swinging their swords. Several of them shattered, but two remained. They both swung their swords, but Sinali parried one with own blade. The other cut off one of her arms entirely causing her to shriek in pain. Yet with the remaining arm on that side she struck it sending it flying back straight at the crystal maker who was too slow to dodge and was sent crashing into a pillar.

The other knight she quickly smashed to pieces. The crystal make mage ran forward forming a spell as he did so. "Crystal make: GUNGNIR." he shouted forming a powerful crystal spear which stabbed her straight through the stomach and pinned her against the wall. He walked forward towards her a smile on his face. "Now you will die child." As he got closer he formed a sword and pointed at the head of Sinali. "I realised what you are...you're undead...and undead won't survive their brain being destroyed." But Sinali merely laughed causing the man to pause. "Why are you laughing?"

"Because i'm not the one dying." With that four nails shot through his head killing him instantly. The man slumped forward and all his crystal made objects fell away and Sinali just stood there with a huge hole in her stomach and several through her body. There was also the arm she was missing. The one that was floating in the air in front of her, the one that had ended the life of the man. She smiled as the arm floated over to her and seemed to reattach. "Flesh stitch." Her arm was now fully reattached and the rest of her external wounds were beginning to stich themselves up, but it would take a while, before they were fully healed. "I really do hate Crystals."
