There was no reason for Tad to be following this rabbit... Sure, it did ask me to follow him which is weird cause most rabbits don't ask for anything, plus it has a magical aura, and he promised a good reward, but the Spooky Forest is no place to follow a stranger into, especially alone. Why am I doing this?! The summoner wondered as he trotted along behind the rabbit.

The noise ahead sounded like a train or a waterfall and the closer they got, the louder the noise was. If the Forest wasn't Spooky enough, the sound ahead didn't exactly quell the fears within the lanky mage. The rabbit stopped abruptly, causing Tad to do the same, sliding a stop. In front of him, creatures of all shapes and sizes were all running in the same direction.

"That way for you," the rabbit said pointing towards the oncoming stampede. "And this way for me." The rabbit quickly hopped into the group of rushing animals and took off in the opposite direction that he'd indicated for Tad to go. Tad barely saw the rabbit hop away before the little guy was lost in the mass of moving animals.

"Oh great..." Tad mumbled to himself before turning his neck to the right, causing it to pop once. "Guess we're doing this," he mumbled once again to no one but himself. With a moment's hesitation, he jumped into the fray. His right foot landed atop a white-tailed deer and he pushed off of it as it jolted forward from Tad's push. His left foot then landed atop a bear's head. The bear began to snarl in disgust at being used as a stepping stool by a mere human, but the mage was gone before the bear could stop to voice his disagreement. Tad continued on, using the animals as stones to keep himself out of their collection of hooves, claws, and webbed feet.

As much fun as barreling through these animals would be, this seems much cleaner. Tad would occasionally find a tree to use, placing a foot on a branch and leaping off of it. However, one such branch was too flimsy and when Tad's foot and weight pushed off to keep Tad moving forward, the branch gave way, falling off the tree altogether. Needless to say, Tad fell to the ground, the litany of animals not slowing because of one little obstacle before them.

With no other choice, Tad emitted white lightning from both palms. Clearly, he'd chosen the white lightning because it was less likely to truly injure one of the animals and the rabbit had been clear that Tad's job was to save the forest for the animals. The stampeding noise was quickly overtaken by an odd collection of animal noises. There were deer grunts (for that was the best way to describe the noise), snake hisses, squirrel squeaks, as well as bear growls. They all seemed to be indicating to those around them and behind them that there was an obstacle (in this case, Tad) in front of them that was better off left alone. Tad's lightning seemed to work as the downed mage was amazed as the creatures coming toward him turned and swerved their course to avoid the lightning that crackled in his palms.

Well that's convenient... Tad thought to himself as he stood, dusted off all the pieces of the forest floor that attempted to catch a ride on his person, and readied himself to continue forward. He still wasn't entirely sure what he was looking for, but he hoped he'd know it when he saw it. Tad turned his neck to the left, causing it to pop once and then rushed forward. He held his hands in front of him, hoping to scare the animals out of his path once more. There were a couple of the slower animals, like a bear and a moose that were unable to get out of Tad's way, quickly paralyzed as the lightning in Tad's palms coursed through their bodies. The large creatures fell as Tad rushed off, knowing that the paralysis wouldn't last long, nor do any real damage.

A couple minutes later, the stampede of creatures died down and Tad was left alone in the Spooky Forest, which only made it spookier. It seemed that Tad's hope had been misplaced as he had no clue what those animals were running from. He continued moving through the leaf less trees, sure that whatever could cause ALL those animals to run off would surely be rather noticeable.

A tree branch swung down, clobbering the lightning mage in the back, knocking him to the ground. Tad quickly rolled over, looking up at what could only be described as a spookier-than-normal spooky tree. It seemed to be some sort of marionette, as if it had once been controlled by a mage's magic. Tad rolled away before another branch came crashing down onto him. Tad wasn't opposed to using his magic to his advantage, so he quickly summoned two Materials to his aide: White Pawn I and White Pawn II. Without being told, both Pawns activated their ability, En Masse, replicating themselves until there were eight identical White Pawns standing in front of Tad.

Tad was well aware that their fighting ability and damage potential was limited, but in his mind, at this time, they were meant to act as decoys. The Pawns all began to spread out around the Marionette, but kept their distance as the Marionette kept swinging its branches at them. In truth, its mobility was pretty low and Tad now realized that he probably could have handled the tree without the assistance that now stood before him.

Regardless of that realization, Tad allowed the Pawns to battle the tree those behind it moving forward to attack its rear when feasible. In both palms, Tad's lightning turned black as he readied a finishing blow. Once he had enough power built up, he located a tree and ran up it before leaping higher into the air. From there, he was sure he could launch two lightning bolts at the target without worry of hitting his summons. The black bolts rushed forward, piercing the Marionette's bark. The Marionette's wild movements slowed before ceasing altogether... its "life" seeped out of its body like sap from a tree.
