The Blade itself takes the form of a longsword made of indeterminate black metal with no crossguard or hilt. The blade’s appearance changes depending on how often it’s used. The more often it’s used he sharper and more well maintained it looks, if unused for a long time the blade starts manifesting dull spots and fractures, these have no bearing the sword’s effectiveness.

Whenever a spell hits the user can make attacks with the sword against the enemies hit, regardless of the distance between them, the total number of attacks that can be made is equal to Additional Melee Damage + (Wielder's Melee Damage/10). [Can you clarify this ability please? What exactly is the Additional Melee Damage and the Wielders Melee Damage? It isn't exactly clear.]
