Something Wicked This Way Comes... (Part 3)

The night at crocus was clear, crisp and cool. The majority of the people of the town were safe in their homes. It was not a place where the crime was obvious and citizens could walk around at night without fear for the most part. The most part is the key thing.

A few seedy people liked to stalk in the allies or cause trouble for people.

At least, unless you knew how to travel overhead.

Still scouting out the town and examining ways around her target, Temperance took to her evening 'wear' as her thief costume. She wore her black witch's attire that still allowed her to be agile. Unlike her usual disguise, her 'glasses' were replaced by a black mask she wore over her face that covered her eyes and general face like a mascarade mask. With the grace of an acrobat, she easily hopped over alleyways and rooftops, She felt so alive under the night sky with the moonlight illuminating her way. From where she ran, she could see Era's major building, including the museum where the Gala would be a few nights from now.

She felt prepared enough and now was just getting a feel for the night's air.

At least till she heard some ruckus below. Curious, she looked to find a gang of thugs drinking and 'having a good time' that looked not all that savory. She just shook her head. If Hex was there, she probably would have had something catty to say about them.

WHile she had no love for thugs or mere bandits, she was content to leave them be. They weren't hurting anyone nor did they pose any kind of threat. It wasnt' her style to pick on them just cause they were around.

She was about to turn and leave to return to the Black Cat Lounge portal-- till her eye caught something else. At the far end of the allyway, a certain glow of magic light could be seen making its way through the pathway. What stood out was the mass of a body with wild blue hair and a stride of an overly confidenct man that Temperance recognized.

"Seriously?" Temperance sighed, realizing who it was even from a distance, "The guy seriously can't take a hint..." She watched as he was heading for the band of thugs in the ally.

For the moment, she kept quiet and just watched from the safety of the rooftops, taking interest to see what trouble this knight was up to for a change.

Gawdwyn had work to do and of course, he was gonna do it without question. There are bad people doing bad things and it was time to take them down. He has gotten word of a group of people that has this high noblewoman hostage. Intel that was given to him said that she has a treasure-it is said that each is so valuable that they can automatically make you a noble and wealthy that you can own land that is of equal to the part of a small city. Supposedly she is very wealthy and influential. With her in captivity, they are able to influence many people and even become nobles themselves. Time of the essence is in this mission and with Gawdwyn, he has all the time in the world, sort of. The criminals are made up of a small group of four with a vast amount of resources and are not to be underestimated. They have been committing crimes all over the world; from their very to murder.

This town at this time has a large amount of criminal activity. He would visit this place just to arrest people, fight people, and even, of course, screw people. This place can surely quench his boredom and he thought of visiting this place after the mission is over. This place looked a lot different compared to during the day. People looked more civil. And when it was night, easily, the not so civilized people roam the streets. He enjoyed the scenery. As much as he would love to do so, he must focus on his work.

People call him a brutal idiot but he defiantly isn't. He has his own way of doing things that gets results. In an alleyway, Gawdwyn had seen a dozen thugs. They look like criminals and his hunch says they are. By the look of what's going on, they look like they're having a street brawl.

While approaching a guy went behind him demanding some money. "Hey, dont' you know, to even pass by this area you need to pay a fee." One thug said.

"'Scuse me, minor league, I don't have time for this!"

There was one big guy that was leaving. He was the one that stuck out the most out of everyone he has seen so far.

"That was the wrong answer, pal" Another man came in front of him. And three more surrounded him.

"Don't say I didn't -WARN YOU!" He tilted his head forward and forcefully slammed his head back to the nose of the guy behind him. You can hear the thud of the sound as Gawdwyn hit the guy's nose with the back of his head.

Then With a lariat to one man in front of him. The charge was so hard and fast that the guy flipped twice like a pancake on a frying pan. With a follow up while the guy he did a lariat with- Gawdwyn grabbed him by his right leg while the thug was in airborne-Gawdwyn then swung him like a bat at one guy's head; HEADBUTTING HIM with the guy he is using as a bat.

"Damn IT!" After beating the crap out of a few men, he could find the big fella anywhere. That is the person that could give him some leads. He left the men unconscious and quickly left the area before he attracted more unwanted attention.

It seemed those men bit off more than they could chew. Temperance watched as they engaged. She didn't know who was more of an idiot. The knight for instigating the fight into such violence, or the thugs to try and take a toll from a man bigger and stronger than they were. Even with them outnumbering the knight, it was a stupid move to instigate it.

"Seriously? Those idiots have a death wish? Sigh..." Temperance said to herself quietly.

However, it was then she was done hiding out. This was the chance to test the knight for real instead of the back and forth anticipation that had developed. No way he would recognize her as she was now. If those men were left there, likely he would call for reinforcements to take them away. She was feeling charitable after all that night.

Just as Gawdwyn would turn to walk away-- SLASH!! A sudden glint of a projectile would fly across the corner of his eye, showing to be a tarot card. It followed by a couple more, thrown from the rooftop to try and hit him. What he wouldn't dodge of course, would be lodged into the cobblestone ground of the alleyway.

Temperance stood up there, basking in the moonlight, like some heroine-- or anti-heroine in this case as she stood there with a hand on her hip. "Well, aren't you a charmer?" she said in a playful tease. "So tell me. Is it common for knights to pick on people he knows are weaker than he is?"

A grin appeared on her face as she saw him turn. "Why don't you pick on someone like me for a change, tough guy?" she said with a flirtatious tone to egg him on.

Post by Gawdwyn 17th January 2021, 9:22 pm

Gawdwyn knew this job was going to be one of those busy ones that he is actually gonna have to try and work hard to finish. As he walked away there was a breeze of wind that passed him by the corner of his eye. It was a card, but as he looked closer to it (without turning his head), it was a tarot card. He then turned to the direction of the card was thrown. He looked up and saw a woman that was standing on the roof. By the angle of where she is standing, it as if the moon was behind her. It was midnight and the glow of the moon from her silhouette, made her body standout; every curve was sharp as an ax.

The woman called Gawdwyn a charmer. Though it was most likely a tease behind her tone. She knew he was a night and called him out as it was common for knights to pick on people. That was a bit insulting. He doesn't 'pick' on people weaker than him. He was provoked. There is a difference. He even warned them. So how is it picking on them when they provoked him?

"Pick on them, first of all, they picked on me AND I warned them. And Finally, they attacked me, I defended myself. What you just witnessed is the old phrase of F**king With The Wrong Person. Now that being said, you asking me out?" He did a reverse to 'tease back' at her from calling him charming.

Clearly, Temperance didn't mean what she said over picking on them, but it was obvious the idiots of thugs barked up the wrong tree. Still, she hoped they would be smart enough to take the hint and get lost before Gawdwyn got smart and decided to call more knights to arrest them.

    Sadly, they were not.

"H-hey?! We don't need a woman helping us and,--" one of the lead thugs grunted as he pulled himself up.

A sudden snap of a card struck the concrete, showing the "Death" card facing the man-- right in front of him. The sheer speed of it thrown was enough to make him pause. "Just shut up and don't waste my goodwill, or do you want to be arrested?" Temperance warned with a crossed tone.

The men hesitated for a moment-- then turned tail and ran down the alleyway away from Gawdwyn. If he had plans to catch them, they wouldn't be met today. With the distraction gone, Temperance turned to the blue-haired knight.

She turned at his words, especially about going on a date. She smirked, her smile clear despite the mask that covered the upper part of her face. "Oh, asking YOU out?" she said, feinting ignorance. "You are cute, don't get me wrong."

She rested a hand on her hip, as if she was looking down at him in ever sense of the word. "Still, you are nowhere near my league." Her smile was clearly that of a cunning woman, her words as sharp as any edged weapon. "And besides..."

    Swoom!

A sudden flash of magic happened that was so fast, even the speedy Gawdwyn wouldn't have seen it till after the effect was done.

"... you couldn't handle me," she added, now directly behind Gawdwyn with her back to his own. Using the cards she had thrown in his direction, she teleported instantly! The 'aura' of danger was now close enough for him to feel, that could ripple a chill behind one's back.

Dropping low, she was quick to land the first blow. Going low and fast, she swung her leg for a sweeping kick, attempting to trip him and drag him into the ground.

Gawdwyn could hear the thugs arguing with this woman on the roof. She clearly was not intimidated and in fact, there was something about her that seemed dangerous. One of the thugs just insulted her, implying that they don't need a woman helping them.  For a moment- less than a second, the woman tossed a card at the thug just like she did with Gawdwyn by the corner. This woman was threatening but merciful. She could have decapitated the heads of those guys if she wanted to.

This woman was something. Not only did she display a great level of skill. Undoubtedly it involves cards. But she exceeded his expectations even more as she was able to move just like he can. Probably faster. He was impressed. He is rarely impressed by someone, especially a woman. This could be the first. He couldn't see her movements. The only thing that he saw was the blur of her body as she 'disappeared'.

In one second after the woman was behind him. There was a shiver in his spine. HE doesn't know what that feeling was. But he didn't' like it. Then to add his surprise, the woman di da leg sweep under Gawdwyn. This woman was fast. REALLY REALLY FAST.

He fell from her leg swipe but only because he didn't expect someone besides himself to move at incredible speeds. This won't happen a second time. HE was able to catch himself but then did a reverse leg sweep after he was swept by the woman.

Temperance's first strike was nothing special. She did want to knock this knight off balance in a playful sense of the word. She knew she was barking up the tree, much like those goons had been. Still, she felt she knew enough how to fight against someone of this knight's calibur. Muscles and speed was just part of any fight, but she had brains too.

She was surprised to see him turn the fall into a kick of his own, to try and trip her too. He momentarily succeeded in catching her legs. However, she knew how to roll with those movements. The moment she began to descend, she leaned back and fell into a flipping movement, allowing her weight to go to her arms and flipped backward. Her surprise melted into a smirk as she flipped elegantly backwards, recovering from the assault and landed in a kneel upon the ground with a soft skid against the ground. All the while, she had cards between her fingers, as her mask hid her face.

"Oooh, so you want to play, hm?" she egged him on with a fliratious tease. "Fair warning. Every card player is a gambler by nature and I play for high stakes."

With a grin, she lobbed a few more cards outward! As she threw them, a vicious wind followed with the cards, adding to their flying speed and sharpness. One of her simple spells with her cards, but if he tried to merely dodge them, he would be in for a surprise.

Should he duck clear or evade in the narrow ally, the cards used the wind to advert their course and come right back for a second pass to try and hit him. The cards wouldn't slice him to ribbons. She had enough self-control to hold back, but they would sting as they would be lobbed into his flesh if he wasn't careful like throns.

Post by Gawdwyn 2nd February 2021, 9:33 pm

Gawdwyn was having a not so boring night. At first, he thought it would be boring. But now there is a woman with very impressive curves that is actually for the first time in his life a threat to Gawdwyn. And for the first time, he is loving it...and with a woman, things are getting better and better. But there was something else about this woman that attracted him. It isn't feelings for her though he wouldn't mind having a night with her. But there was something about her that just seems that he and this woman met. His brain is telling him that this is the first time that he ever met a woman that is threatening. In fact she might be the first and only woman that is threatening to him and LOOKS f**king amazing.

She flirtatiously thinks that he wants to play and in a way she isn't wrong. He woulnd't mind playing with a piece of that. Then he warns him that every card player is a gambler by nature and she has plays for high stakes. He was confused by her statement. Under the moonlight he saw a grin and a few cards that she has taken out and thrown them at Gawdwyn. Personally seeing them cut through bricks, it would be foolish of him to take them head-on. But that is the type of person he has always been. On one guy that was left on the ground that he beat, Gawdwyn picked him up and used him as a shield. Gawdwyn was cold at times and there are times when he can be a straight-up savage. The unconscious person took the cards.

"Got to ask, have we met. I'm having a feeling about you that tells me that we met before. And not just that, but the shape of your body is ...almost like I've met you."

The cards made a strong turn in the air and would of been poised to strike Gawdwyn if he was foolish, but he dodged by a rather unorthodox and doushy move, in Temperance's opinion. Using one of the knocked out thugs Gawdwyn smacked about, he took one and used it to act as a human shield. If he wasn't dead before, he would be now. Temperance grimaced at that. It was unexpected for someone like a knight to use a human shield like that. Even if you were in a fight, a sense of honor was appreciated.

"Not very knightly, are you," She commented matter of factly. Still, she dug the brutality he had to an extent. Still, she would never use human shields. They were tacky, and cruel even by her standards.

His words struck a cord with her. Seems like he thought they had met before. While true, Temperance indeed have met him before, but clearly, she wasn't going to say that to him. "Oh, sweetie. Don't tell me you use that line on all the pretty girls?" she mocked him. A good pun and deflection as she would never speak the truth of the matter. "Trust me, you never met a woman like me before."

It was then she flicked her wrist, and soon threw another barrage of cards. This time, the cards thrown were cloaked in darkness-- darkness magic! While simple projectiles, they would do good damage if nailing a direct hit. Gawdwin could get closer but would have to use his 'shield' to get closer to her. Either way, she had more than a few tricks up her sleeve to leave him in the dust.

But she too was having fun toying with the silly Rune Knight.

Gawdwyn didn't feel a thing for the men who were getting injured by those cards. Her response was expected and not surprising as she puts it ' not very knightly'. No, it isn't very knightly. "Why should I be 'Knightly' to scum. Worthless trash as them. There are criminals that I could even respect or even a savage beast or even a man out in the worst killing hundreds for revenge is someone that would be treated better. But for them, these people...Hell NO. My honor would be tainted respect these fuckwads. Gawdwyn gave a short gist of some people and things out in this world that he would treat better than these lowlifes.

Gawdwyn was a womanizer and loved woman. Without them, life would be meaningless for a man like him. What would be left to fight for anyway? She teased him as she replied to his words as he says that to all the pretty women. That is absolutely false. "You are sooo wrong. You can be pretty, doesn't mean I'm attracted to you. YOU, however, just peeked my interest. "

Gawdwyn channeled chakra around his body, he uses it to propel himself using the surrounding chakra as a booster-- causing a sudden, incredible burst of speed. In that instant, he becomes like a living-lase.

[IN THE BACKGROUND- one of the thugs that was still conscious brought a weapon. He was obviously looking for payback at Gawdwyn and Temperance so he held a weapon to blow the two building up, burying them alive.]

Gawdwyn propelled himself from one corner of the opposite building from Temperance And at the same time, the thug fired a bazooka at the same time Gawdwyn was airborne. Gawdwyn saw the attack and kicked it behind him to the building opposite Temperance. There was an explosion that followed right behind him and away from Temperance. This explosion increased Gawdwyns velocity but was too close to the explosion and sent him hurdling to temperance head first to Temperance's chest.

Temperance listened to his rant. Though Temperance had some sympathy for the idiots who picked a fight for Gawdwyn, she kind of understood. There were plenty of people Temperance could think of the world was better off without. Still, it didn't mean she would kill them. She had a bit more class and self-respect for that. She was a thief, not a murdurer. She did worry if this knight was actually some kind of psychopath with that kind of attitude. Then again, she couldn't judge so soon.

His zing, however, stung. She did feel perhaps he was putting her on, but then again, she didn't like his attitude. She had no regret throwing the cards at him. However, what happened next did surprise them both.

One idiot of a gang member tried to launch bazooka. The weapon discharged its projectile. Temperance wanted to deploy a shield card, but Gawdwyn was a step over deflecting it with new power. A powerful aura of energy. The resulting explosion was a surprise, but nothing of lethal results. However, it did knock both of them on their asses--

Temperance groaned as she felt something heavy over her. She opened her eyes and soon found herself under the hunking Gawdwyn, sprawled between them with only his oddly thin vest seperating her from his muscular chest. Was that just coincidence, or did he try to cover her from the blast?

"Ahem... shouldn't we have dinner first?" she teased.

At the hint of his reaction, Temperance sat up with a grin on her face. "You REALLY have never fought a woman before, have you?" She said , smirking as she reached up, and tugged the top of her top-- pulling the zipper down. "Makes for a whole new kind of action..." She pulled, revealing her skin, her clevage, generous amont of her mounds to make a man start to drool...

... and soon revealed a stack of Tarot cards hidden right between them.

In that instant she revealed them, the cards flashed with her magic, triggering them to fly. The cards shot forth as throwing knives, catching into Gawdwyn and tugging at his clothing and limbs. The force of the throw aimed to dislodge him from on top of her, and using the cards to pin his body to a nearby wall of the alleyway.

Temperance could only imagine the look Gawdwyn would have to realize he got blind-sided by that trick. "Heh, men. They always fall for the same trick," she said as she zipped back up.

Gawdwy felt a massive amount of heat on his back after the explosion. But what caught his eye was the woman he was about to land on. For a few seconds, he felt something soft covering his face. There is only one thing in the entire universe that can resemble the feeling that Gawdwyn is feeling right now. This gentle softness cant be felt in one place. The feeling so soft and gentle that makes men smile- the chest of a woman. And the feeling that he is feeling right now, was perfect. Size is well round and tenderness is firm and the skin on the upper chest that the blouse wasn't covering was smooth.

Enjoying his comfort, Temperance recommended dinner first before they 'continue'. He knows that it was a joking gester for this inconvenience. "I know this place that has some of the best steakes I've ever tasted and they show this spectacular-" Gawdwyn couldn't finish his sentence as what was happening next stunned him. Not even a foot apart, the woman slowly reveals her chest to him. But it was a false ploy to distract him. And it worked. For a moment, he was mesmerized by this act. "Never fought a woman like you- most of them ran first because of my reputation or didn't last long in a fight. You are the first."

In a span of a couple of seconds, the woman leaped in the air to trap Gawdwyn in her cards as the cards she carried by her lovely chest pierec his clothes , immobilizing his movements.

"Midnight, drowning in moonlight, a woman that leaves men struck, powerful and skilled in combat, incredibly beautifuland excellent physique- How can I not fall for a trick like that? Tell me your name, please." There are many ways that he can get out of this situation but wishes to know this woman's name.

Hook, line, and sinker. That trick normally did work as she was proud to use her feminine wilds now than she could when she was younger. She hated to admit it but "lina" was more of her true self and Temperance was the mask she wore to live more. She used to be a completely different girl than she was now. As Gawdwyn hung off the wall like a trophy fish, she smirked as he still had the gusto to make comments about her.

Regaining her composure, she pulled a card out and drew closer. Carefully as to not get too close. In the dark light, it was hard for one to see clearly, but she answered him with not with words. "My card," she said simply. The card she pulled, she revealed it to reveal a beautiful woman, clad in nothing but flowing cloths that barely covered her-- holding chalices that poured fire and water in equal measure. "The Temperance" was written on the bottom, as she smirked at that.

"It's a shame I can't show you my face just yet," she said in closing, "It's a real treat."

After she had shown him the card, she drew it away and threw it to a nearby rooftop above. Right before Gawdwyn's eyes, before he could break free of the cards that pinned him--- she vanished in a blur of color and magic. She quickly reappeared at the top of the roof where she threw the card. She teleported, in a form of magic that was not seen before.

As she stood in the moonlight, she blew a kiss from where she stood, and turned to leap off the rooftop, disappearing into the night.

Temperance, aka Lina, continued her escape to the hideout to meet with the others. It was only a couple more days till the big event at the museum was to take place. No doubt this foolish knight was going to cause her some problems--- but that was what would make this whole heist exciting in the end.

When Gawdwyn would return to the knight's base, he would soon receive a summons from his superior officer. It appears Temperance had left a special treat for the knights, announcing the events to come and even more knights were joining to help in protecting the gala...

Gawdwyn was supposed to focus on his job but truth be told, this woman piqued his interest. This was not good. He is not supposed to have any emotional attachment at all. His goal to be the freest man on the planet, he must not have anything to slow him down and he is having the feels for someone. The woman gave him an unexpected gift. She blew him a kiss as she left the moonlight.

Gawdwyn tilted his his head down and with the use of his head, he crumbled the surface of where he was trapped. Creating cracks around where the gards had trapped him with. With a bit of a gift to him- it is only fair for he to give a gift in return. Gawdwyn took three cards that was thrown by Temperance to trap Gawdwyn. And before she was far, Gawdwyn quickly swing those exact same cards that was used to immobilize him, to give a bit of a tease at Temperance.

NOW, he is playing a very dangerous game. So much so that it may be called pure idiocy of men everywhere. Almost as a deer to taunt a fully grown starving lion in the savannah that hasn't eaten a satisfying meal in three days. But, this was Gawdwyn, he does things daring and seeing her, Knowing what she did to him, he must have something in return. He did the unthinkable, to see under the skirt of that very POWERFUL woman- with the same cards that she used, he would toss under her skirt between her legs. Only for them to be torn where he can have a really REALLY good luck at the full legs and even panties she has.

    "Very Very Nice~"
