As Heero, and Garfield; riding on his head as usual, approached Oak Town from the South; they both fell silent. They could immediately tell that something was amiss in the usually sparkling green city. Smoke; rose into the skies, from seemingly every location within the town; a few buildings were even still burning to the ground.

"This is horrible." Heero said to himself once; he looked at the job sheet in his hand one more time; and crumpled it up in anger. "W-what could have caused this to happen....." Heero furrowed his brow in anger; as Garfield, remained unusually silent for a few moments before speaking.

"Aye, Heero...we should be careful...I got a bad feeling about this." Garfield said plainly, wiggling his tail with a serious look upon his still adorable face. With a nod; Heero set off towards the town.

Several people went fleeing by him, in carriages, on foot; everyone was headed south; either to Era; or the Capital, Crocus. It seemed Oak Town truly had been lost to this 'Demon'. Heero looked around at all the noise of the caravans passing him; a few people glanced at him, some even recognized him. One spoke up.

"Hey, hey! Are you Heero; from Fairy Tail?! I-heard you have an orange cat!" the man stopped his horses with a tug on his reigns; his caravan skidding to a halt. His wife and kids poked their heads out briefly from the back before he talked. "If you can........please, I'm going to ask you---save Oak Town. Don't let it be turned to ash....good people live there not just me and my family, there's so much history. Oak Temple.....so much knowledge is contained there. If you can send those Demons packing.....with as little damage to the city as possible....I would be grateful; I'd like to move back home if possible." he seemed to get a tad upset; probably remembering his home; probably recalling fleeing from it less than an hour ago. Who knows what it was he saw as he fled.

Heero was about to find out one way or another.

"I'm going to do my best; Fairy Tail won't let you down!" Heero clenched a fist. "Garfield; let's speed this up, walking ain't gonna cut it!"

"Aye saaaaah!" with that, Garfield hopped off of his head; let Heero get a running start, and then expanded his wings in a pop of glitter upon his back. He zipped up from behind to Heero who'd gotten a running start and scooped him up off the ground. He did a barrel roll, twisting wind arond him in a vortex before kicking into Max Speed towards the burning Oak Town on the horizon in the distance.

As Heero and Garfield approached Oak Town, the smoldering town up ahead clashed against the beautiful landscape on which Oak Town sat; the Oak River an up behind it, still glittering blue; although the town was burning; forest covered mountains nearby still held their beauty; it was like chaos in the middle of harmony.

Heero's eyes sat on the clouds for a moment; as the sound of the wind ripped through his ears; his Exceed flying him calmly towards the town.

"Look, up ahead, Heero!" suddenly; Garfield's voice filled the noise of the wind in the skies. Heero; instinctively raised his hands above his eyes; to shield it from the sun a bit and focus his vision. For a moment; he didn't realize what his cat was talking about, but then; he saw them.

A group of two Hellfire Demons gigantic beings of flame that were somewhat in the shape of armored knights with wings; although they were composed of just as much darkness as they were fire; complete with a rather fierce looking helmet with horns on them; and three sparkling Ice Wraiths had flown up into the skies; in a "V" formation. They were headed straight for Heero's location whistling through the skies. The two Hellfire Demons flew with trails of flames and ash comet-tailing behind them; the three Ice Wraiths led the pack at the crest of the flying "V" with a trail of ice-shards floating behind them magically.

"These guys look like they're gonna be annoying as hell! Let's take these guys down Garfield; we've gotta get to Oak Town!" Heero said as the camera would be behind them in the skies; the sun setting in the horizon. Heero cast Lightning Aura; and immediately spiraling burst of yellow lightning whirled once and solidified with a sharp burst around both Heero, and Garfield.

"Let's get em!" Garfield commented, sparkling with Lightning; wagging his tail once and looking rather upbeat. He was always pushing Heero to accept the craziest challenges he could in life; this situation was no different, but he'd rather have no one else for a Best Friend in this type of situation or otherwise.

"Yep; let's do it! Try not ta' zig when you should zag!" Heero barked as Garfield looked down at this comment, taking it as a personal challenge.

"Aye have I ever steered you wrong before?!" immediately, Heero began to have various comical flashbacks of himself hitting trees or falling from ridiculous heights thanks to his cat.

"Aye..." Heero got a sweatdrop over his head as their Lightning Aura intensified as Garfield's wings expanded with glitter inside the yellow lightning; as they kicked into Max Speed and rocketed off towards their five ghastly assailants like a literal thunderbolt.

Heero rocketed through the center of the group of Hellfire Demons and Ice Wraiths, they split apart as a few fire and ice spells rocketed at him, rippling through the air and exploding off into the skies. Garfield twisted and barrel rolled at high speeds as they arced into the skies; coming back down towards them surrounded by sparkling yellow lightning.

"Let's get em, together then!", Heero exclaimed with a toothy Slayer smirk.

"Aye saaaaaaaah!" Garfield called out with a bright smile of his own.

He would release Heero, flinging him towards the center of the group of enemies, Heero took his Lightning Aura with him as Garfield arced off to the left. Heero, sparkling with yellow lightnign would shatter onto the screen with a 'thwaam!', showing him delivering a crisp right Haymaker upon one of the Hellfire Demons. They would fall out of the group; as the Wraiths and Hellfire Demons arced in a crescent and flew down to follow the plumetting Heero and single Hellfire Demon.

The demon Heero had falling down towards the ground on his fist screeched in pain as it's flaming face bent in, yellow lightning cooking it as they fell.

"Heheheh! It ain't over yet; stop your screeching, have another!" Heero called out, blue hair whipping all around him. "Lightning Dragon's Rocket Paaaaanch!!!" as Heero activated the Rocket Punch he threw a brilliant left Haymaker accelerating them downward in the air even faster as another burst of yellow lightning surrounded them and increased their downward fall. The Hellfire Demon on Heero's fist burst into a thousand speckles of ash and embers, vanquished as Heero would immediately be swooped up by his Exceed, flying straight into the camera.

"Here they come." the equivalent of what sounded like artillery bombardment went off around Heero; ice spells shattered in mist everywhere as a stream of fire from the Hellfire Demon's blade slash whipped by. Heero and Garfield dipped and ducked through them all, the Exceed expertly flying and dipping at a whirl; white wings out, as they came through the fire spell, Heero realized they'd lost sight of him for a split moment. "Now!", as soon as he called out, Garfield spun him and sent him whirling through the air towards the second Hellfire Demon.

Comically, the Hellfire Demon literally got 'crunched' out of the flying pack of enemies by a streak of yellow lightning that was Heero; carrying him on his fist. "Twice more!" Heero threw a left haymaker right into the demon's face, causing it to cave in a whirl of flame and dust. Before throwing a brutal right hand, that sent a shockwave of thunder out it hit so hard as the second Rocket Punch went off. The second Hellfire Demon exploded into a burst of ash and flame, just as the first one had; once more, Garfield came at a barrel-roll and grabbed Heero under his arms as they arced back towards the Ice Wraith's, the three of them still circling in a "V" with Heero as they flew; the camera just behind Heero and Garfield at a diagonal as they flew; clothes, hair, wings and fur all rippling in the wind.

Heero spotted three light blue Magic Circles pop up as three Ice Spells rippled through the air, towards his position in flight.

"Incoming!"

A wave of mist and ice shards rippled across the skies towards Heero and Garfield; the cat expertly dipped them down, and pulled them back up in a barrel roll into their original position as the Ice Spell went flinging past them; exploding in the distance in a loud crash.

"Whew that one got close!" Garfield quipped; as Heero immediately shouted out to him.

"Look out!" it was too late; a wave of mist and ice shards slammed into them as one of their ice spells hit home; it twisted and solidified into a crystal of ice containing Heero and Garfield. He felt his skin, mouth, everything around him chill, as he was uncomfortably frozen unable to move. They plummeted to the ground; the crystal of ice spinning once as it fell, tumbling. With a loud crash, the ice around them shattered; leaving Heero on all fours, coughing for some air.

"AYE!" Garfield called out in a panic as another Ice Spell flickered through the air towards them. The Exceed managed to scoop Heero well out of the way of it , pulling him off the ground and back up towards the three Ice Wraiths descending towards him. Heero got a determined expression upon his face, as both he and Garfield had pieces of ice falling off of them for a few moments.

"My turn!" Heero then held his hand out to his side and cast Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halbred, as the moment he threw his hand out to his side; a loud burst of electricity resounded in the area; it twisted and formed into a giant Guan-Yu syle halbred of yellow electricity. As they reached the Ice Wraith's, Heero and Garfield easily whirled and twisted around the darkness and ice spells they flung into the air; as explosions of shadowy mist and ice twisted everywhere in the vortex trails created by Garfield's dardevil flying.

Garfield flew Heero past the Ice Wraiths several times at intense speeds; as Heero attempted to slice them apart with the gigantic Halbred of yellow lightning. They were quicker than he gave them credit for, as they all leaped apart each time his Exceed flew him slicing through; but remained in a tight knit flying formation. On the final failed pass, Heero called out to Garfield as soon as they'd missed, calling for a turn around. In an instant, Garfield turned and flipped Heero facing the Ice Wraiths after a failed pass.

Heero chucked the entire halbred at them; as they were already descending upon his location when he'd gone flying past them and missed. The huge Guan-Yu halbred of yellow lightning at them. It struck home, slamming dead center into the chest of the lead Ice Wraith in their flying "V", as it made contact, it sizzled for one moment; shattering into the ice as it stuck out obnoxiously. A fifty foot thunderclap of lightning erupted into the area; and vaporized all three of the Ice Wraiths for S-Ranked damage, as they fell to the ground in magnificent shards of ice, glittering and falling to the grasslands below.

"Yoi yoi! (Good good!)" Heero called out as Garfield shouted in approval from behind him, carrying him under his arm while Heero fist pumped in excitement as they flew through the skies. "We'd better get to Oak Town anyway!" Heero said, Garfield turning him in the skies as they bobbed up and down; Garfield's white wings expanded; looking at the smoking Oak Town still waiting in the distance. With a nod, Garfield would kick into Max Speed once more, and take off towards Oak Town.

As they flew closer and closer; Garfield would dip down, setting them down right at the front of town so as not to fly directly into or over to many possible opponents. They decided to walk straight into town; slowly. Very slowly. As the sound and smell of burning; and wood falling seemed to be all around them.

As Heero and Garfield walked; very slowly through town the only noises that could be heard were that of burning flames; crumbling houses, Heero's footsteps, and Garfield 'Exceed Noise' footsteps. For awhile; that was all that was heard; it was eeriely quiet. Suddenly, Heero would hear a slight noise in the air; almost like the crystals on a chandelier.

He would grab Garfield and go running into a nearby yard, jumping the fence and crouching down with a simple hop and step on top of the fence; and impressive parkour jump. As Heero and Garfield comically peered over the edge of the fence; they both looked at one another, and back out towards what they saw.

Floating down an adjacent street to the one they'd just been on; were two Ice Wraith's bobbing up and down off the ground, and another Hellfire Demon, composed of burning darkness and flames; helmet and wings as the others had, had.

"More of those guys..." Heero said at a whisper.

"Aye, we've got the element of surprise this time; lemme at em!" Garfield quipped, his expression getting somewhat determined.

"You sure?" Heero looked over towards him comically, their heads still poked up over the fence. "We're supposed to find the civilians and free em from the Demons curse."

"But we haven't even seen any zombified people yet!" Garfield retorted, wiggling his tail and itching for another battle.

"Let's just stay up, and see if any of them show up. I got a feeling there's more than enough of those guys for us to mess aroun' with if we can't find any civilians too soon; but we should keep sneaking through yards, see if we run into any--zombified people." Heero got a sweatdrop over his head as he made the last comment.

Garfield took a few moments; and then agreed with a nod as both of their heads would duck down behind the fence comically. They would make their way through various yards, Heero leaping fences and Garfield flying as low as possible so as not to be spotted by any wandering Wraiths or Hellfire Demons floating around. They continued to move; increasing their speed somewhat; as they got somewhat nearer to the center of town. The amount of Wraiths and Hellfire Demons they began spotting and ducking around corners to hide from increased tremendously; just by advancing a few more blocks into town.

The area seemed to darken with a haunting effect the nearer to the center of town they got; Heero's dislike of Haunted Areas began to kick in, as his expression was somewhat comical and fearful as he looked around every corner.

"Why do they have to be so damn, ghastly!"

As Heero and Garfield looked around the corner; Garfield on Heero's shoulder as the Dragon Slayer poked his head around the building Scooby Doo style; a growing shadow behind them stretched and stretched; until it began to take form.

It took the form of a gigantic, hulking demon. Literally the size of the Hulk with black crystals growing out of it's face and arms; floating off of the ground with a whirl of flames where it's legs should have been. It's eyes burned with intense flames as well where there should have been pupils; instead there were just flames dancing and flickering out.

"Garfield, do you hear that?"

"Yea it sounds like fire nearby us."

The sound of the Demon Lich's flames hovering off the ground behind them gave it away. Heero and Garfield both turned their heads, once, twice, three times before setting eyes upon the burning, black crystalline husk floating behind them.

'The camera switches to a view outside of Oak Town.'

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~" a piercing scream that filled the air even outside of the town echoed forth, as the camera switched back to Heero and Garfield. The orange Exceed had decided to hide behind Heero's head, as Heero himself leaped back and pointed a finger at the gigantic hulking Lich.

"Oi, d-dammit you're the one responsible for all this ain'tcha!" Heero visibily was shaken as he stared down this, insane being. But he stood his ground...best he could without wetting himself.

"And, what shall ye do about this, son of Zeuslogia?" the Demon Lich's mouth moved, he had extremely sharp teeth, Heero could easily make this out. Black Crystals grew for hair on his head and arms as well. He floated in place, on a vortex of flames. "You can barely sneak around, town trying to find me without screaming your head off; pathetic!" the Demon Lich raised a hand flicking his nails, dignified.

Heero got a "!!!" over his head, and bumrushed the Demon as he taunted him. He threw a wild haymaker; but the Demon Lich had disappeared in a whirl of darkness and fire quite quickly and easily.

"I'll see you at the center of town if you last that long, Slayer! For now, I've got some folks who'd like to meet you!"

'An entire house to Heero's left gets coated over in crystalline ice in a matter of one second'

It then shattered with an splitting explosion of fire, an entire house; as two Ice Wraiths, and two Hellfire Demons emerged through the rubble, bearing down on Heero and Garfield; who turned around, both gritting their teeth simultaneously with the exact same expression at the same time, like they always did habitually; even in intense situations like this. The sound of the Ice Wraith's like a chandelier, and the Hellfire Demons, a burning whirl of flames; filled the area.

As the two Ice Wraiths, and two Hellfire Demons closed in around them; Heero and Garfield went back to back; both looking like they were ready to lay the hurt. The sound of the Ice Wraiths was like a crystal wind whime; while the Hellfire Demons sounded like a raging campfire.

With a simultaneous nod; Heero would kick his Lightning Aura back on, and as Garfield took to the skies up above in one simple whirl. Heero would stand there; his yellow lightning wildly flaring out all around him; and wait for one of the wraiths or demons to make a move. The backyard they were in; in Oak Town was fairly large and with the ruins of an entire house blown apart; you could see off into the town further than you normally could; the smoke from their explosion still floated up into the air nearby where an entire house used to be.

Then--one of the Hellfire Demons came; it materialized a huge tornado burst of flames that seared across the grass towards Heero; who managed to skip across the lawn as a yellow bolt of lightning; reappearing as himself at a cartwheel and planting his feet. He sprung off of his landing; and weaved through a few ice spells; that sent crystals of ice bursting from the ground on the lawn as Heero weaved through them with three left to right lightning skips. On the third lightning skip; Heero would reappear with a knee to the face of one of the Hellfire Demons. Immediately; he grabbed it's flaming head and crammed it down onto his knee four more times; Lightning surging each time he did. Eventually on the fourth knee to the face; the Hellfire Demon's head burst off into flames and ashes in slow motion; as Heero backflipped instinctively; a barrage of Ice Spells whacked the grass where he'd just been standing.

Mid-air from his backflip; Heero came surging downward towards the second Hellfire Demon for another assault with his Lightning Aura active. However he was met by an intense wall of flames that flew through the air towards him. He managed to turn into a bolt of lightning and head straight through it at the last moment before it would hit him; landing at a skid on the grass approaching the last Hellfire Demon with his fist cocked back; and yellow Lightning Aura surging about loudly.

As Heero slid forward; everything slowed down. He landed a haymaker into the gut of the Hellfire Demon; shaking the screen as real time kicked back in; his Lightning Aura sizzling wildly upon contact; baking the Hellfire Demon for intense damage. Heero leaped up slightly; and knee it to the bottom of it's flaming face. It tried a grab; two flaming arms and clawed hands swiping together; but only hitting thin air as Heero twisted into yellow lightning and skipped just to his right; reappearing and grabbing the Hellfire Demon by it's neck just to it's left.

The Hellfire Demon actually made a noise showing it was shocked that Heero hadn't been grabbed; as it was grabbed around it's neck. A shattering headbutt would be shown on screen as Heero pulled the Hellfire Demon's face into the top of his head with a screen shaking headbutt. Lightning Aura sizzling again wildly upon impact; as he released the Hellfire Demon from the headbutt; it began falling backward.

Heero stepped back, and pivoting; a whirling snap kick of lightning cleaned the clock of the Hellfire Demon from his left side, yellow lightning flaring out and ripping it to shreds in a burst of flame and ash. Ice spells and even a few giant whips of Darkness began to slap all over the lawn from the Ice Wraiths; Heero skillfully began twisting into yellow lightning; moving about and managing too move much too quickly for them to be able to keep up with. A bursts of mist; crystalline ice, and giant whips of darkness slammed into the ground or between Heero splitting into lightning and moving, the Dragon Slayer would skip backward away from them once; reappearing as himself and throwing his elbows behind his back; as they readjusted turning to face him; he was already b-lining towards them; he was visible but moving so fast that it could barely even be called that as with a few steps; and one final sprinting burst jump; he slammed through the three remaining Ice Wraiths, as two long trails of yellow Lightning flew off of his arms as he slammed the ground in a giant 200 ft "X" of lightning that burst into the entire area; built up wildly and exploded beneath the Ice Wraiths as he passed them at a blur.

The gigantic "X" explosion of Lightning on the ground, Lightning Dragon's Wing Slash bounced the Ice Wraiths into the air; as they tumbled helplessly for a moment; already shattering a part a bit visibly. Heero would reappear at a skid at the crest of their aerial tumble; and pivot back towards them, bending his knees and casting Lightning Dragon's Flashing Step. As he did so, he would disappear and reappear seemingly as a thin trail of lightning that was him appear with a haymaker that went shattering through an Ice Wraith completely; two more thin trails of yellow lightning flashed mid-air as they tumbled; as Heero flipping stomped through one from behind and stepped off it as it shattered from above into another thin bolt of lightning; the last one was shattered by a massive headbutt as he reappeared; into the last Ice Wraith's face; reappearing into himself at the final moment before as a thin bolt of Lightning during Flashing Step; he would've stricken it. Meaning the headbutt shattered into the Ice Wraith at or over the speed of Lightning with a noise like a loud glass breaking; mid-air, Heero was caught by his Exceed; Garfield before he could even begin to fall downward.

Garfield did a barrel roll as they swirled and flew over a few more houses in Oak Town; heading closer still towards the center of town as houses began to pass beneath them.

As Heero and Garfield advanced through the air; a Heero began to smell a difference in the air. A huge vibration of magical energies surged mid-air in front of their Flight Path. The air itself began to vibrate; as in a giant noise like an explosion, the Crystalline Lich; with black crystals and burning eyes; with flames where his legs should be; floated in the skies across from them.

Garfield hit the brakes immediately; not wanting to fly head on into him as he'd seen how strong the Demon Lich was before their last bout with the Ice Wraiths.

"Ah, so you managed to dispatch my last group without too much of a problem then?" the Demon Lich's voice vibrated across the air as Heero and Garfield hung in it across from him. "I suppose Zeusglogia did end up having an excellent Slayer proginy then, well excellent is a stretch; lucky is more accurate." the Demon Lich barked, and seemed to crack himself up. Which began to frankly; piss Heero off as he was held under his arms by Garfield; floating across from the bellowing cackle of this ancient Lich.

"Oi! Face me like a Man! Or---uh, whatever it is you ARE! Face me like that!" Heero exclaimed in mild confusion. Garfield got a sweatdrop over his head on screen comically as Heero failed at understanding what the Demon Lich even was.

"Aye.....it sounded good though!" Garfield quipped cutely.

"Hahahaha, I have control of Oak Town; you've managed to take out a few of my Wraiths and Hellfire Demons; but believe me there are more where that came from." the area began to rumble and tremble with magical energy; as Heero and Garfield looked around in shock at the magnitude of magical pressure vibrating in the air around them. The Demon Lich threw it's crystalline arms up into the sky, and as he did so screaming twists of ice and darkness erupted in four separate spots around him.

They melded together in trails; with a sound like a rapidly moving chandelier. They twisted, and solidified into four Ice Wraiths; bobbing up and down in the air next to their master; Heero raised a fist, and gritted.

"Dammit, where are all the townsfolk!" he barked towards the Lich. Who scoffed at him.

"Oh they're around; believe me. But they're a lot more powerful than these---servants." the Lich motioned to the Ice Wraiths floating, lurching mid-air waiting on his command. "I'm sure they're around; terrorizing anyone who's stupid enough to still be in Oak Town; hell, they're probably tearing their own houses down; they're so zombified---I may have overdone it--BAHAHAHA!" the Demon Lich barked comically at Heero mid air; his laugh a deep heart belly of a bellow.

"That's it I'm taking you out!" Heero ignited his Lightning Aura once more as Garfield took his word at face value and charged through the air, carrying him. The Demon Lich merely raised a hand towards Heero, and the four Ice Wraiths rocketed in streams of ice crystals behind them towards him, as the Demon Lich himself disappeared in another twist of fire and ash. Oak Town still smoking, falling apart below.

As Heero flew into the crowd of Ice Wraiths, he immediately went into a string of attacks being thrown by Garfield towards them. He turned into a bolt of yellow lightning, with Lightning Aura several times; whizzing up to and through the Ice Wraiths with punches, and kicks; rocketing at and around them at intense speeds as he went roaring through the skies. Each time however, he missed, and they managed to swirl apart in burst of ice or move at the last possible moment.

Garfield caught him again after he'd tried a mid-air burst; they arced back around through the air towards their assailants as Garfield exclaimed out mid-air over the sound of roaring winds.

"You've gotta try to hit em all at once! One at a time isn't cutting it!" he quipped; holding Heero beneath his arms. With a nod; and a determined look; Heero's eyebrows furrowed as Garfield approached them once more, wind rippling Heero's hair and clothes in the wind. "Go Heero!" with that, Garfield released him at a fling towards the Ice Wraiths again. As Heero glided through the air, arms at his side; surrounded by sparkling yellow Lightning, he flecked his eyes between the four targets, just before he'd gotten too close mid-air, Heero would exclaim. "Lightning Dragon's Dance!"

A ricochet of thirty thunderous yellow bolting strikes went off into the area; pinging against each of them for seven strikes that sounded like a baseball hitting glass. The yellow bolting strikes were actually Heero moving all at once at ridiculous speeds; for whirling kicks and haymaker punches on the Ice Wraith's. They howled out in pain, and three of them burst into shards, shattering out into mist mid-air, and dropping to the ground of Oak Town in a shower of beautiful crystalline ice. One Ice-Wraith however, slid apart into ice shards and reformed itself; as Heero appeared mid-air; before he could be caught by Garfield again an Ice Spell blasted through the skies towards him and whacked him.

The Ice Spell whirled into a tornado train of crystals that carried Heero down to the ground of Oak Town and through the roof of a house. As the train of ice crystals and mist pressed into him inside of a house filled with belongings and holes knocked into it's walls likely from Wraiths or Demons, he grunted; holding his arms at an "X" in front of his face while pinned down and getting battered, cut, and chilled.

Before the spell could do too much damage to him, Heero surged his Lightning Aura up and rocketed back upwards through the spell. He attempted to haymaker the last Wraith as he passed it; but it broke apart into ice shards again, letting him fly through as a bolt again, reforming mid-air behind it and turning to look.

"Look out Heero!" Garfield called out from the skies to his left.

Two more Ice Spells blazed in walls of mist and shards towards him through the skies from the last Ice Wraith. Turning into a bolt of lightning twice, Heero zipped and popped up in the air, as one flew off into the skies and exploded in to a shattering crystal burst. As the second approached him; Heero zipped upward into the air as a yellow bolt to dodge it; reappearing as himself at a fall towards the remaining Ice Wraith from above.

"Seeeeuuuuuuuuh!" Heero called out as he cocked a fist behind him, and fell from above in the air towards it; his Lighting Aura going wild around him.

As Heero fell towards the last Ice Wraith from above; it seemed to look upward; leaning it's floating body back and slinging another Ice Spell towards Heero with a swipe of it's clawed crystalline hand. It erupted into a train of ice shards and chilling mist; the same spell that he'd hit Heero with only moments ago.

"I ain't fallin' for that again!" Heero quickly turned into a yellow bolt of lightning at a streak; and reappeared behind the Ice Wraith approaching at high speeds out of another thunderbolt; "Take this!", as Heero threw a wild haymaker into the beasts face; his Lightning Aura sizzled outward with impact and baked him apart into an explosion of crystals and ice; the mist and remaining ice shards fell back down towards the ground in a sound like a waterfall of glass.

Heero went into a freefall through the air; as Garfield swooped him up from above and behind; dipping down and catching him under his arms. They continued down towards the ground; having managed to advance a bit further into Oak Town through the air; however the Demon Lich had managed to slow down their search for possessed civilians and journey towards the center of town quite a bit with that last stunt mid-air with the Ice Wraiths. He certainly wasn't going to allow them to just fly straight towards the center of town. That much was clear now. As they landed on the ground somewhere within the smoking city; Heero let out an exhale. "Phew, that guy doesn't know the meaining of a fair fight!" Heero exclaimed in reference to the Demon Lich.

"Aye, and we haven't even seen any of the possessed people we heard about yet!" Garfield added, floating next to Heero and wiggling his tail with his wings out. Garfield crossed his arms in thought. "Come to think of it, do you remember what he said? They're probably tearing down their old residences---maybe some memories are still left!" Heero nodded as Garfield thought this up.

"Yeah, I'm sure of it---it's not easy to conquer someones spirit! Especially those who chose to stay and fight! We can free, them, we can do this! We've just gotta find them first...." Heero added; as he heard what sounded like the sound of Hellfire Demons and Ice Wraith's approaching. He and Garfield managed to slip out of their patrol and climb upon someone's roof. At a crawl; they neared the edge of the roof in subterfuge; staying low and peering out across Oak Town to see what they could spot. The trio of Ice Wraiths with one Hellfire Demon with them went floating down an adjacent street; and eventually, rounded a corner sharply out of view.

"Let's see if we can spot them from up here..."
