    Job Details:

Animals were not beings that Amalie carried any special feelings towards, she didn't dislike them, but she didn't feel that same warmth that others seem to feel. That love that owners would carry towards their pets, integrating a lesser species into their family and forcing it to be a part of their lives to fill whatever void they had. Perhaps it was something to do with the fact that her mother never allowed her to own a pet, why spend money keeping an animal when you could buy drugs right? Amalie's last memory of even wanting an animal companion was walking through the streets behind her money when she was eight, as she went to visit her dealer, seeing another child pass her by, adorable little puppy in hand. When she had asked about buying one, her mother had shot her down harshly. "Why would you want one of those Amalie, they're just needy creatures that can't look after themselves." Somehow when her Mother had said those words, Amalie had sensed she was talking less about a pet and more about Amalie. So she never asked again and that had been that.

The only other time she ever really had an animal close to her, was when Charles would swing by theirs to visit Wyatt, occasionally bringing along his two oversized Rottweilers. They may have been pretty dogs, had he not stuffed them with muscle expanding medication and taught them to be incredibly violent. One time Amalie had witnessed the two bitches tear a man limb from limb with a simple one word command. They were disgusting creatures, and greatly suited to the owner that reared them. Because of all these factors, Amalie wasn't especially fazed by the possibility of killing animals. Especially savage beasts such a Werewolves, she had only heard tales and horror stories about these monstrosities. Now that she was a working mage, it was time for her to face one herself.

She stood on the plains of the Curse lands, her long light-blue hair billowing in the wind behind her. She stood in a statuesque manner, in her newly fitted white uniform, representing her role as a member of the West Fiore Trading Company. Her cold eyes stared into the space in front of her, she was supposed to be doing this with another mage, who it was she did not know. The information had stated just to arrive in the Curse lands and deal with the beasts at hand. Perhaps, they would not show. But that would be fine, she didn't really fancy socialising, especially not after the idiot she had faced on the last job she took. However if they did show, she could only hope they would get on it with job at hand, she wasn't one for extravagant displays of magic. Pretty lights and sparkles where not her forte, sometimes the simpler the better in her perspective.

She would wait a few more moments, if her partner didn't arrive, she would set off on her own. She needed to track down these Werewolves, and who knew how long that would take. She had arrived at the last spot the Wolves had been spotted, now it was just a matter of picking up a trail. As though to answer her call, there was a howl in the distance. The corners of her lips rose in a smirk, Looks like it won't be too long until I get to play. She thought in excitement.

Cetus prowled through the Cursed Lands, tracking his prey with the efficiency beaten into him. 'There is no emotion, only death and the one who deals it.' His half mask hid the grimace those words brought to his face. They had been his bread and butter from the first day he could remember to the day he threw them aside for a friend. No, more than a friend. Deam had been more like a brother. An out of control crazy brother but a brother nonetheless. He, along with Sionnach, Easgann, Nathair, and Eolas, had made up his family. The Shark, the Demon, the Fox, the Eel, the Snake and the Saber was what many others had called them. The family of freaks. The Law of Order had created others but Cetus had never been close with any of them. Ah there. A wolf crossed across Cetus' path. His mind was pulled from his past. Now was only the hunt. Cetus shot across the short distance, his hand striking like a snake. The wolf yelped once before the strike broke its spine.

Cetus pulled his hand from the corpse. Perhaps it was time to meet his partner for this job. Cetus glided through the forest, headed toward the meeting spot. The blood dripped steadily from his hand. He hoped it provide a clear trail for their pursuers. Once Cetus broke from the shadows of the trees, he saw his partner. She stood upon the edge of the cursed lands. Her blue hair swept out from behind her. Most would have found it picturesque. Cetus merely glanced over her, looking for any indication of weapons or martial training. His own body was covered in a black wife beater and black leather pants. Both hugged his body so as not to get in his way while he fought but gave enough leeway to allow him to move. The top of his face was covered by a half mask. It gave no indication of eyes and partially covered Cetus' nose. The overlapping metal plates with the jagged almost crown-like top rather suited him. His blue hair was a tousled mess as he approached his partner. The gray of the cursed lands made Cetus' own gray pallor stand out all the more.

"Good Afternoon" He drawled slowly. His body relaxed as he stood a few feet in front of the woman. The blood on his hand dripped slowly into the dirt. "I suppose you are my partner for today." They would see if she was up to the task. Cetus didn't tolerate fuck ups as his partners. "Shall we go? The beasts should be gathering soon." The assassin didn't wait for her response. He spun on his heel and strode back toward the forest. There was no need for introductions, no need for pleasantries. They were here to get a job done. Cetus was more interested in studying the werewolf's fighting style than helping the villages but that was semantics. They did the job, they got paid.

Cetus stopped at the tree line. His nose tilted into the air, sniffing. Blood had been spilled. Not the wolf he had killed. Something else had bleed. Large amounts too. Cetus' eyes dilated, the hunger rushing up from below. He wanted to bleed something. To feel blood pouring over his body. To clutch a warm beating heart in the palm of his hand. The assassin took deep breaths trying to calm the bloodlust. "Something was torn apart in that direction." Cetus said thickly, pointing in the direction of the blood. He had to control himself. He was more than what the Order had forced him to be. Cetus couldn't think past the blood. He couldn't plan. Frustration welled within the assassin. What a show he was putting on for his partner.

Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus] Empty Re: Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus]

Post by Amalie 12th October 2018, 3:07 pm

The sound of steps caught her ears, mixed with the rustling of leaves over by the nearby trees, Amalie turned to look. Watching the approach of the man she assumed would be her partner for the job. He was about the same height as herself, perhaps a fraction taller. His face covered by some form of animal-made mask, meaning she could only see his mouth and jawline. Blue haired tousled back from behind the mask, his most distinguishing feature thus far. He wore a black wife beater and leather trousers, coupled with the mask it was an interesting look. However how he looked didn't matter, he was here, so now they could do the job. Her eyes fell to the sight of the blood dripping from his hand, so he had already fought something before arriving to see her. Yet the rest of him appeared unscathed, she wondered whether the blood belong to beast or human. Doubting she would receive an answer should she ask, it wasn't relevant either way, as long as he didn't attempt to kill her.

He greeted her, his words only confirmed the fact they had been assigned to this task together. There was no exchange of names, no pleasantries, just the statement indicating for them to begin the job. Just how Amalie preferred. She offered him a curt nod, following him as he sharply headed towards the forest. The dirt crunching beneath their steps as they briskly walked in silence, arriving at the treeline in a few short moments. The masked man stopped suddenly, he seemed to be paying attention to something. He spoke, informing her that something had been ripped apart nearby, pointing in the direction to which it was happening. Werewolves were known for their violent killing, Amalie deduced that it was either them or some other monstrous creature. At present it seemed like their best option. She offered him a simple reply, "Then let's hunt."

Straightening up, her magic pooled within, creeping it's way from within her, climbing up through her throat. "Flight" The spell reverberated through the air with a loud commanding boom, suddenly her body lifted off the ground. Now completely weightless as though being carried by some invisible force. Amalie shot forward into the direction he had instructed her, wasting no time. It was faster this way, and undoubtedly speed was a necessity here. Amalie flew through the trees, after a while she could smell it, the blood. There was a lot of it. She burst through the trees to the scene of chaos, the remains of what appeared to be a camp site. The bodies of what she could only presumed had been sleeping campers lying in a state of desolation. An arm here, A head there, killed before they could even scream for help. Much of them had been dragged off further into the woods, most likely where they were being feasted on. "Empowerment," She called, a pulse of magic vibrating through her body.

She flew forward, moving deeper into the messy site, the monsters were still near, most likely watching. She let out a whistle, much like the kind humans did to their pets to get their attention, "Here doggy, doggy," She called out coldly. There was a snarl. She smirked, the magic flew up through her once more. "Shards" Glass suddenly began to spawn around her, jagged and broken, they floated around her, waiting for her command.  The pounding of heavy feet, a wolf dove out of the trees at her. With a nod, the shards flew forward, burying itself in the wolves body. Piece by piece, slicing into it, relentlessly carving into it, it let out a pained whine. She glanced around with an almost bored expression, she was hoping something bigger would have jumped out. She heard the rumbling through the trees, more were coming that was sure.

Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus] Empty Re: Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus]

Post by Cetus 12th October 2018, 4:09 pm

There was too much blood. As his partner flew off in the direction of the slaughter, Cetus reached for the power of the White Court. Power flooded into his body as his eyes dilated, changing from golden to all black. The whites, pupil and iris of his eyes were obscured by the pure black color. He'd lost himself to the rage. The aura of the White Court flooded off his being as he tore through the trees. His mouth was open, trying to drink in the scent of blood. More. More. He needed more! The shark man veered to the left. There was a single being floating in the center of the blood pool. That was too easy. Cetus angled himself toward the mass of beings off to the side of the clearing. Wolves or something. He didn't care so long as their blood ran hot.

The shark man landed among the pack. His hand grabbed a tongue, yanking it from the wolf's mouth before the creature could react. It fell to the ground choking on its own blood. The other wolves seemed stunned by his appearance. Disappointing. His hands slammed down onto the necks of two of the wolves. Reversing his dentils, Cetus tore out chunks of flesh. Blood sprayed painting Cetus in red. Glorious. The two wolves fell, the damage too great. The other wolves sprang for him. Pitiful. He danced through them, his hands striking. As he stopped just past them, the wolves landed. For a moment, they stood. Then blood sprayed from their multiple wounds before they collapsed. Cetus licked the blood from his hand. Yes. Delicious. A pity there weren't more opponents to eviscerate. The taste of blood gave Cetus a semblance of his mind back. He was lucky. If the wolves hadn't been around, the blood rage would have sent him straight into his partner.

Cetus stepped into the clearing covered in blood. It appeared as if she had taken care of another wolf. Had she been waiting for the others? No matter they were taken care of now. "I took care of five." He rumbled. His voice was nearly inhumanely deep. Cetus moved cautiously, keeping a fair distance between himself and his partner. There was no telling how long the blood would keep his mind going during the blood rage. "I need your name." A name might keep him from attacking her. Maybe. It was worth the shot. The brush crackled and Cetus' head whipped around. An inhumane growl rippled forth from between his lips. Things with blood on them were approaching. Cetus could make out their heat signatures as they approached the camp. Humanoid wolves. Three of them with an accompaniment of regular wolves. Cetus frowned. The job request had described the werewolves as bigger.

"There are eight coming at us." Cetus growled, holding out a hand. His magic swirled about it. He felt the briefest moment of pain. That was to be expected. This was the first time he had accepted the White Court's power into his body. His hand transformed, a big blue gem forming upon the back of his right hand. A white scale gauntlet formed up to his elbow. Metal talons tipped each of his fingers. The power was intoxicating. "DIVIDE!" Cetus roared, holding out both hands in the direction of their enemies. The wolves yelped as his power struck them. He knew their speed was draining away, divided by his magic. A bloody grin curled his lip. "Fools." Cetus looked toward his partner. "Shall we?"

Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus] Empty Re: Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus]

Post by Amalie 13th October 2018, 5:06 am

Shard by shard, Amalie watched as the wolf in front of her was stabbed and sliced by her spell. It writhed on the ground, attempting to dislodge some of the shards, but to no avail. The more it rolled the deeper the shards went in. Cutting further and further into it's flesh, ripping muscles, opening veins. It would be dead in a few minutes. Amalie heard another set of growls behind her, spinning in the air, more shards appeared around her as she turned. As though manifested from nowhere, she spotted the two additional wolves. Come to die... She thought. They charged, and the shards charged back, endlessly slicing at the wolves like a swarm of insects. Amalie sighed, this wasn't as fun as she hoped it would be. Perhaps it was all the brutality, she had witnessed as a member of the Corvin family. Maybe she had become desensitized to it all, didn't normal people get scared in moments like this? Surrounded by a bed of corpses, was she not supposed to be screaming right now? Just how fucked up am I? She wondered casually. They was no thrill of fear here, she was just hunting dogs as far as it seemed.

She watched as masked man stepped into the clearing, appearing to have been showered in blood. Whereas she didn't have a single drop on her, her white uniform was as clean and unsullied as it had been when she had arrived. The masked man was proving to be a useful and competent partner at least, this much pleased her. If she had to handle someone squeamish on such a mission, it would've been even more of a drag. Sissies were not her cup of tea in the slightest. She nodded as he stated he'd taken out five targets. She raised her hand, jolting her thumb over her shoulder to indicate the dead wolf behind her. "That ones gone, and these two will be dead any second now. I'm just letting my glass do it's work," She informed him over the sound of the wolves pained whines as the glass continue to slice away at them, they were lying down now. The muscles that had been holding them up damaged beyond repair, pools of blood formulating around them.

The man asked for her name suddenly, she raised a brow in surprise, but answered nonetheless. "It's Amalie, Do I get to have yours?" She wondered, not really caring if he gave it to her. She reached up, running a hand through her hair, she brushed it back. The swift flight though the trees had ruffled it slightly, with a quick brushing of her fingers, it returned to it's sleek normality. She watched as the man proceeded to whip his head around and growl, He's rather animalistic isn't he... She thought casually, wondering if this was a factor of his magic or his upbringing, perhaps it was both. She had yet to witness his work, but something told her it was not for the feint-hearted.

She spun around to face the direction he had, watching as several wolves and finally a few human-looking wolves entered the clearing. At the sight of the monster, her face split into a wild grin. They looked fun, maybe, just maybe she would actually get to play properly. To feel the thrill she'd watched the Corvin brothers relish in for so many years. The masked man cast a spell that seemed to cause pain to the wolves, before inviting her to join him in the fight. "Let's." She purred in reply, rising into the air higher. She came up above the group of wolves, then flicked her fingers outwards, causing all the shards around her  to begin shooting downwards. Like a shower of glass, it hammered into the wolves below. The group split slightly into an attempt to escape the deadly downpour. Amalie chuckled following after one of the humanoid wolves that had split from the group. She dropped in front of it, tutting as she shook her head, "Now, now, Doggy, no running away." She said in a teasing tone, the werewolf snarled and slashed at her. She darted back out of it's reach. Her magic flying up through her body, "Burn." Her hands lit up with fire, bringing them forward, the flames exploding forward hitting the Werewolf with the full force of her fire. In the meantime more shards appeared, like a horde of buzzing bees they shook excitedly. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted two normal wolves creeping closer, trying to get close enough to attack. She glanced at them, "Lie down." She barked, the shards shot out, slicing away at the wolves legs. Within a few moments they were rendered unable to stand. Their ligaments and joint muscles torn to shreds. This is almost too easy. She though, the werewolf in front of her roared angrily. Charging at her despite now being on fire, her eyes widened and she shot up into the air again. Narrowing avoiding being tackled by the thing, Maybe not, She thought with an exhilarated grin.

Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus] Empty Re: Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus]

Post by Cetus 13th October 2018, 10:26 pm

Cetus admired the cold efficiency his partner used on the wolves. This woman clearly liked to deal in pain. The wolves were crying for mercy but she was slowly taking them apart. He wondered what had been done to her to make her like pain so much. Or perhaps she was one of the few who liked it from the get go. There was no way to tell. When she asked for his name, Cetus had to wrestle with his own paranoia. Why did she want his name? It didn't help that his blood rage was clouding his thoughts even more. Cetus shook his head several times, his grip upon his sanity fragile at best. "I am Caimileir." He squeezed out. It was neither the total truth nor a complete lie. it satisfied both the question has his paranoid need to protect himself. Though it wasn't so paranoid at the moment. The Order was hunting him and his friends. The incoming enemies provided a welcome distraction for the shark man.

His body moved fluidly as he leapt into motion. Amalie's spell nearly caught his leg in his rush forward. His fault. He used the spell to his advantage. Casually, his dentils hooked into one of the passing wolves' skin when he brushed his hands up against it. A subtle heaved and the wolf was caught in the thundering downpour of glass. The small sounds it made before it died were rather like music. It whet his appetite for more blood. The other wolves and their werewolf companions turned toward him as one. The internal struggle within Cetus calmed. He straightened, holding out two fingers and cocking them at his opponents. The wolves didn't understand. The werewolves certainly did. They snarled viciously, sending the pack leaping into motion.

"Foolish" Cetus said stepping past a lunging wolf. His hand swept out, catching the canine in the side. Its own momentum ripped the flesh clean off. The blood sprayed Cetus in the back. Leaving that one to die, Cetus continued to weave through his opponents. "Know." Cetus backhanded another wolf, wounding its face and snout. It flew away with a yelp. While it wasn't a killing blow, it would hurt and blind the beast. "Your." Cetus crouched under another leaping wolf. While he could have torn out its stomach, the motion would have put him off balance. Instead, he faced off against the four werewolves. "Opponent. It's the first rule of combat." He spat off to the side in disgust. These creatures weren't worth his time.

The werewolves didn't know they were beat. They leapt as a pack, intent on bringing down their prey. Cetus slid beneath them. His jaws clamped down on one of their legs. The scissor-like teeth that filled his mouth cut through muscle into bone. He could hear one of them scream as blood filled his mouth. His neck strained as he pulled the werewolf out of its jump. A flick sent the beast sprawling in front of him. "You're a disappointment." Cyan said before tearing off the werewolf's lower jaw. The thing screamed once before Cetus planted his foot on its ruined throat. He turned to face the rest of his opponents. The tiny brains were clearly working. Fear was peaking through as they began to comprehend what exactly it was they faced. They turned and ran as one. Cetus snarled loudly at their cowardice.

"Amalie, darling." Cetus called all sweet like. He charged the one that had almost tackled her. "Would you mind ever so kindly killing those cowards?" His tone was clearly irritated even while his words were sickly sweet. His hands came down upon the offending werewolf's head. "I'll take care of this one." Cetus smiled up at her but there was something off about it. The werewolf howled in his grasp, scrambling to get him to release it. Its claws scored his arms and torso a few times but Cetus didn't seem to notice. His arms bulged right before there was a sickening crack. Then the werewolf's head smashed between Cetus' hands. He leapt away from the body before any brain matter could get on his clothing. Blood he was fine with but the internal organs could stay the hell off him.

Cetus looked around the blood soaked forest. They'd spilled more than enough. With any luck, the scent would bring the rest of the pack. They simply had to finish up here and set an- A great howl reverberated through the air. Before it faded, another split the air than another. These howls sounded powerful, more mature than those that had come before. "I think Mommy and Daddy are up." Cetus said dryly. "We better finish up quickly, Amalie. Seems like the rest of the pack is on their way." Not that they had much work left. This job was turning out to be disappointingly easy.

So far the whole event had been rather disappointing in Amalie's eyes, there wasn't much thrill or even fear. Just ease, the quick calculation of where to have to shards cut, what lacerations to make, what muscles to tear. Then that was it, at no point did she fill exhilarated, it was just void. Perhaps, in killing these weaker beast, they would lure out the big dogs. Packs tended to have Alphas right, would Werewolves behave the same? If so, she was sure they hadn't made an appearance just yet.

The man known as Caimilier was a violent, merciless and thoroughly efficient fighter. He wasn't putting on any big shows or fancy airs of complicated attacks. He was just tearing the beasts apart, it wasn't the prettiest way to fight, but it was the best way to get the job done. Especially against monsters, they couldn't be reasoned with or brought to heel. These were savage blood-thirsty beasts, extermination was the only way to proceed. Amalie had no doubts that if pushed the wrong way, the blue-haired guy would rip off one of her limbs without a seconds hesitation. He was a different kind of monster in his own right. She would just have to proceed as she was, he didn't show any intention of attacking her yet, but it was always worth considering the possibility.

She had just about been ready to unleash another attack on the werewolf before her, when Caimilier addressed her in an oddly affectionate way. He tackled the werewolf before her, instructed her to handle the ones fleeing. She glanced over briefly before looking back, seeing that he had things under control. "Certainly."She replied in an amused tone. She darted away quickly, levitating to a stop in front of the escapees. She raised her hand and wagged her finger at them, the air around her almost sparkling from the light reflecting off the vibrating glass. The shards pelted forward, multiplying in their hundreds, there was a endless foray of stabbing and slicing. Some of it even cause blood to spray onto her white uniform, to which she pouted. Bringing her thumb to her mouth she licked it, then attempted to dab some of the blood off. Need some baking soda... She thought offhandedly, hopefully this wouldn't take too long, she would want to at least try to get home quickly and wash it off. She didn't want the white to contain a permanent discolouring. She continued to casually inspected her clothes, all the while the werewolves before her were still being cut to pieces.

There was a loud howl in the air, Amalie glanced around, hearing Caimilier's remark, she smirked. "Of course," She waved her hand behind her, sending a burst of flame in their direction, they screeched as they caught alight. The glass in the air around her suddenly doubled, before shooting down like a horde once more. Slicing down into the werewolves necks, each of they're throats were torn up. Within a few moments, all of them began collapse to the ground dead behind her. She didn't even look to watch, just floated away, in eager anticipation for the next opponent. She could hear the thunderous pounding of feet making it's way towards them, about to burst through the trees at any moment. Her magic crept up her throat, "Frost." The air around her grew cold, a sudden wind begin to blow around her, whipping her hair fiercely behind her. In a matter of minutes, the clearing was filled with a magical blizzard. Ultimately slowing any beast about to run into it, giving herself and Caimilier the advantage. The murderous growls that echoed through the forest were delightfully menacing, Amalie even let out a chuckle in response, her shards quivering with anticipation for the final fight.

Cetus both admired and despised how Amalie dispatched the running werewolves. She took care of them rather quickly but at the same time it almost seemed as if she was playing with them. It wasn't until he spoke that she actually put them out of their misery. While he wasn't amiss to a little entertainment on the job, they weren't exactly in the clear. What would have happened if there had been more werewolves baring down upon them? Cetus carefully kept his thoughts off his face. His tongue wiped the blood off his fingers. Good. The rage was seeping out of him now but it still held enough of his mind. Cetus dreaded its eventual withdrawal. That would place him at a disadvantage with their foes as well as making the fight much, much harder for him. Trying to fight with a magical fatigue was awful.

Amalie's blizzard shook Cetus down to his core. He was a coldblooded creature. He needed the sun or at least heat. This spell was going to slow him down significantly and not from hitting him. Cetus had to use his hands to pull his mouth open. "A warning would have been nice" He growled at his partner. "I happen to be cold blooded." Massive werewolves crashed through the trees, cutting off any more Cetus might say. The creatures were impressive to behold. They stood near a head or more taller than the other werewolves. Their shoulders held more muscle mass, pushing them to be much wider as well. Glossy thick black fur covered their bodies and their orange eyes blazed even in the daylight. Cetus didn't like the look of their claws. One wrong move and those things could take a head clear off.

The three werewolves crashed through Amalie's spell. The drop in their speed was evident but Cetus noticed they shook the snow off their fur. These three were different. Perhaps even full grown werewolves while those they had faced were young ones. Cetus darted forward. They couldn't let these things wind up an attack. That wouldn't end well for either mage. His foot struck the leader's snout. The shark man cursed his boots. Without them, he could've taken the skin off the monster's nose. The responding strike was surprisingly fast. Cetus had to drop, landing flat on his back. The talons whistled over his head. Snarling, Cetus slammed a one-two combo into the monster's stomach. His eyes widened before he leapt up running full tilt away from the charging monsters.

"Amalie! Their fur is magical! I don't know if anything we have is going to even phase them!" Cetus called out as he ran. He was putting distance between himself and the werewolves but only barely. They were picking up speed somehow. Or perhaps Cetus was slowing down. That was more likely. He could feel the rage slowly wearing off. Damn it. This was the worst time for that. Cetus skidded to a halt. He spun, determined to face his foes. As the lead werewolf unleashed a roar, Cetus met it with one of his own. Then they sprinted across the distance. Cetus wouldn't turn away from death. If this didn't kill him, it was going to hurt like hell.

Post by Amalie 20th October 2018, 7:01 am

Amalie touched down on the ground lightly, her shards disappearing for a moment as she considered the next moves to make. She could sense that she was filtering through her magic store quite quickly, she would need to resolve this. "Restoration." She called feeling a warm buzzing sensation throughout her body as her magic began to replenish itself. She followed this command with "Resistance." A precautionary ability, hardening the wall of magical resistance around her. She watched as the wolves hit the blizzard wall around them, smirking as they were immediately slowly. The blistering cold doing damage along the way. She heard Caimilier's remark and rolled her eyes in response. Boo hoo. She thought, before recasting her previous Flight and Shard spell. She once again floated in the air, moving so she was at least a few feet above the wolves. She watched Caimilier's attempt at attacking the creature's, remarking that the wolves had magical fur. She floated along as they proceeded to chase him, as long as they remained within her blizzard they would be unable to run at full speed.

Interesting, I may have to take this seriously. Amalie waved her arms, the shards around her multiplied again and again, until the skill was amass with shards twinkling in the light of the full moon. If their fur was magical, then she would just have to give them a hair cut, even magical creatures had a limit to how much magical their could resist. "My turn." She threw her arms down, her shards shot forward, like a giant swarm of bees they began attacking the werewolves. Amalie's fingers danced in the air, much like a conductor she spun the invisible webs of control she had over the shards. To the outside eye it may have seemed like a brutal non-sensical show of violence, yet with ever slice and jab she was testing. Testing the wolves for weak spots. She could feel it through the glass, the area where the fur was preventing the glass from piercing through. Then those spots where the glass could successfully be imbedding: inside the ears, the gums of the werewolves open mouths and most painfully of all, their eyes. She blinded two of them with ease, stopping the attack on Caimilier. "They can't see you now, but they'll still be able to hear and smell you," She told him, the third had managed to dodge the glass to the face. Having witnessed it's affects on it's fellow werewolves it was quick enough to move away. Amalie waved her hand through the air, even more shards appearing around her, as she was about to unleash another blow just for the third wolf. The wolf bent back on it's hind legs, before suddenly leaping into the air, catching her by the legs. She was dragged to the ground with incredible force, hitting the earth hard. The wolf roared in her face, leaning in to take a bite, her eyes glanced up towards the wolf, another outpour of magic flowing out of her as she offered her own roar of magic. "BURN!"

The flames that erupted from her were so strong that any snow in the close vicinity melted, she reached out, clutching the werewolves maw. Screaming as the fire erupted from her fingers, singeing it's magical fur. The creature threw itself back, dragging her up with it. It's sharp talons scratching at her burning hands, the wolf managed to grab one of her arms, pulling her off. She was launched away into a nearby tree, her body slamming hard into the bark. She wheezed, the air forced out of her body as she fell to the ground. She lay there for a moment, Fuck, that hurt. She thought, slowly her face broke into a grin, she began to stand, laughing as she did so. Her previous stoic expression a picture of excitement as she turned back to the wolves, hands dripping in blood from it's attack. The blizzard had followed her to the treeline, still going despite her fall. She leapt into the air, regaining her flight, she waved her blood-riddled fingers. The shards reformed around her, except this time instead of floated around randomly. They began to form an organised line, stretching up into the air, until it was a chain of broke glass. The wolf prepared to leap again, as soon as the wolf jumped, the shards shot forward.

One by one stabbing the wolf in the chest, over and over, in the same spot. The fur may have been resistant, but if hit in the same spot, over and over again. It was bound to give, and that it did. After being hit with several sharp pieces of glass, the fur began to fall, and the flesh began to split apart. Cut, cut, cut. Endlessly, Amalie watched with unforgiving eyes, a wild grin on her face as the pieces of glass carved their way into it's chest. The Werewolf tried to block the shards, realising what was happening but to no avail, the shards would just move around it's hands, or move to feint slicing at it's eyes. The wolf didn't know where to protect. Amalie's tilted her head, closing her eyes for a moment, she could feel a shard having bypassed it's harder outer-lining of flesh, slowly making it's way inside the wolf. She turned her head, directing the shard towards the wolves heart. Her eyes shot open, looking down at the Werewolf with a cold gaze, "Die." The shard shot forward and tore into the wolves air, carving it up from the inside. The wolf stilled, letting out a final pained whine before dropping to the ground dead. Amalie floated their for a moment, no longer smiling. She turned to look at Caimilier, having momentarily forgotten him whilst she had been finishing off her own wolf.

Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus] Empty Re: Werewolf Hunt~ [Cetus]

Post by Cetus 20th October 2018, 11:28 pm

Cetus took advantage of Amalie's opening to slam his hands into the wolf's jaw. His dentils didn't grab anything but fur when he ripped them downward. His body felt slow, tired. The cold effected him faster now that the blood rage was gone. He looked up at Amalie in exasperation when she explained what had happened. "Well, thank you princess. I'll endeavor not to make a scent or sound since their two strongest senses ARE THE ONES THEY HAVE LEFT!" Honestly didn't that girl know anything? The shout brought on a swipe from the werewolf he was facing. Cetus was forced to backflip away from the stupid thing. He crouched close to the ground to review his options. The werewolves were faster, stronger than him. Weak magical attacks barely affected them due to their magic defensive fur. It looked as if he would have to let the White Court flow through his body. Pounding on the werewolf hadn't done any noticeable damage. On the other hand, Cetus was definitely feeling the blows the wolf had dealt to him. Since Amalie had so kindly left him with two werewolves to deal with, his magic was the best way to finish the job.

Cetus pulled the power of the white court into himself. His aura nearly vanished from existence, his scent faded and his body became translucent. He knew from experience that he wouldn't make much sound when he moved either. It was a gift from the Vanishing Dragon, Emperor of the White Court. It would hopefully help him with assassinations in the future. Now that the werewolves would have a harder time finding him, Cetus looked for the power of the White Tiger Prince. To win, to finish quickly, Cetus would have to unleash the Prince's power all in one go. As the werewolves sniffed the air, searching for the shark man, Cetus grasped the full power of the White Court for the first time. It flooded into his body as everything transformed at once. Cetus had to pull his mask off quickly before it was broken by the transformation.

Cetus' face shifted as his eyes and teeth transformed. It took on a more tiger-like visage, white striped fur growing across the entirety of his face. His ears shifted toward the top of his head. Then they transformed as well becoming as a tiger's ears. Fur formed down his arms to his hands. His fingers transformed into over-sized claws. Cetus flexed his hands as his legs changed. His knee inverted and an additional knee grew in its place. Tiger's legs for the shark man. A tail flicked out behind Cetus. "I guess I'm a tiger shark" Cetus murmured to himself. The werewolves jerked in his direction. "Poor babies, unable to see. Maybe you should SIT DOWN!" The last two words were infused with the power of the Tiger Prince. One of the werewolves was caught in the blast of magic, paralyzing it on the spot. The other was just outside of the range of Cetus' new ability. No matter.

Cetus vanished from sight. He reappeared behind the werewolf where he slammed his claws into its side. Unfortunately, the damage was minimal. However, with his newfound speed combined with his Vanishing Aura, Cetus felt an intoxicating rush of power. He rained blows down upon the monster, always ahead of its clumsy strikes. It was too bad it couldn't see. It would have seen the blur that Cetus now was as he attacked it. Through his punches and kicks, Cetus discovered that some areas had less fur upon them then others. The thinner areas were less protected given the blood running through the werewolf's fur. Exactly what he needed. One well placed blow and it would be over. Cetus delivered a crushing blow to the back of the werewolf's knee. It howled as it crashed to the ground. A cold smile spread across the shark man's lips. Leaping upon its back, Cetus gripped its head. "Checkmate" He said wrenching with everything he had. A reverberating crack echoed through the air. The werewolf slumped to the ground. A pity these weren't more worthy opponents. Then Cetus could have come at them with everything instead of a mere fraction of the White Prince's power.

He walked over to the paralyzed werewolf. The thing was struggling against the magic of the White Court. A pitiful effort at best. Cetus took his time with this one. He used his claws to slowly dismantle the beast, keeping it alive as long as possible. There were no other enemies. These three had been the pack leaders. So he used this time to learn about his opponent. Find out weaknesses for next time. The werewolf was in a neat pile when he finished, the head resting on top. The alterations to these big ones wasn't natural. Cetus grit his teeth. The Order was still messing around with lifeforms. He turned toward Amalie. She seemed to have dealt with her werewolf. Cetus bowed stiffly. "Thank you for your help, Amalie. I hope to work with you again in the future." As he straightened, Cetus looked at her with his golden eyes. There was a small smile on his face. "Perhaps leave the snowflakes at home next time?"

He turned and walked from the forest, holding up a hand in farewell. His mask was picked up on the way out. They could collect their reward separately. There wasn't a need to continue tolerating each other's presence. Surprisingly, Cetus looked forward to meeting the blue-haired beauty again. He wanted to see just what lay beneath the surface of that icy mask she wore. Was there a void? Nothing but pain? A gooey inside like some kind of tsundere? Cetus couldn't tell. She was a puzzle. One Cetus hoped to eventually solve. A smile curled Cetus' lips once again. Who knew what would happen then?
