"Pain is weakness leaving the body, but that statement isn't true for the two of you, is it? Should that statement ring true, then all of you would be laying on the floor, considering you are only made weakness. Don't worry I am a generous soul, I shall show the two my empire, and hopefully, drag her out of hiding."

With a cast of her hand, the maiden unleashed a torrent of energy towards the pair, engulfing them in a cascade of light and mana, their bodies being torn apart and thrown through the abstract flow of time. The bonds of their lives holding on by a thread, quite literally, as their forms arrived in the future devoid of a sky, devoid of joy, and devoid of hope. The crushing weight of all the sin and changes was present in the blood-red cloud that dotted the atmosphere, and the dim grey textures and architecture around them would denote only the bleak dim lives lead by those under the rule of the dragoness. Pipes flowed around buildings, lights shown from lanterns held by wiring, red-tinted water rained from the sky, and the sound of shuffling could be heard on the busy city streets. Statues of the Dragon raised high into the air, towering above all others, forced to worship and hold her with praise, even after all this time.

It was a world with no future.

Erika saw this, her mind shattering as she returned to her body in the past, her efforts to locate the missing pair of Astrid and Aiyana successful if not costly. Coughing up blood Erika winced at the ground as she stared at her own life pouring forth. While stronger since her reintroduction to her Phoenix side, her body still held the weaknesses it always had. Slamming her fist on the floor she cursed her bodies weakness and inability to perform when she needed it. She had to rush and confront one of the few she held fear for her in heart, her sister. Gifted in body and now in power by the foul god she served, Erika wondered if she even had the strength to defeat her, but she'd have to try, at least when she had the strength to stand. Guiding Astrid and Aiyana to safety through her sisters hasty put together method of time travel wasn't easy, and whispering for Astrid to be safe, Erika passed out on the floor of her room in peace village...

"Wow, sending people forward in time is difficult, I should ask Sis how she does it as she dies in my hands, of course, can't have her ruining everything so close to completion, besides her bodies made out of glass bones and paper skin, so it'll be a piece of cake. Oh, speaking of cake..."

Dusting herself off Alpha left the battlefield underneath the city of Era to return home, a well-deserved slice of joy awaiting her, along with praise from her mother and the other followers, overall today had been a good day, now if only she would stop talking to herself all the time.

The slayer's speed was something she always relied on greatly. It was one of the perks of being a light slayer, after all. Hit hard and fast, that was the kind of training she received for Sirius. Speed and power were to be favored, for what does defense matter when your enemy is knocked to the ground with only but one swift punch? The elf was even a bit prideful with how fast she could go. Her record time is running all the way to another country was just under fifteen minutes. So with her power, she was rather confident that she could win most fights. If not with her power alone, then with her unrivaled speed.
Well... She thought unrivaled. But this random woman who started a fighting with her and Aiyana on the streets of Era? Was about to show the saint she should never become too cocky with her power.
Astrid pushed herself forward in a great leap. Despite being a bit bruised and battered, the girl was holding up rather well against whoever this mysterious woman was. Honestly, at this point so many people had it out for her that Astrid was basically waiting each week to see who was going to try and kill her now. Perks of being a good guy, she guessed.
But this woman was keen, her power was something Astrid hadn't seen before. And by that, she meant for some reason every attack missed. Perhaps it was some type of illusion magic. Astrid wasn't sure, but she was getting frustrated. Frustrated that people kept trying to kill her, frustrated that she couldn't even touch this one. That's when she began to become sloppy with her movements. Growing tired, she would attempt to put all of her power into one punch. Flying towards the girl the elf let out a yell with her fist shining a bright silver, a trail of silver wisps traveling behind it. Once close enough she would push her fist forward in a punching motion, ready to strike the mage down, only to be met with air. The girl's crimson eye widened in shock before her face met the concrete painfully, even skidding forward a couple of feet before she came to a stop. "Ow... Dammit." She let out a pain-filled hiss, lifting her face off of the ground. The side of her face felt like it was on fire. Out of protection, her hand met her cheek, which was now bright red where the skin wasn't torn in a small gash. It hurt to even touch, letting in a sharp breath of air between her teeth when she touched it. But thankfully, she knew a healing spell. Her hand glowed a small, pulsating silver as the gash slowly healed itself, the skin forming over it slowly but surely. Once done she removed her hand from her face. The ghost pain was still there. More like a tingling sensation now, but it was much better than trying to carry on with a giant wound on her face.

Astrid stroked her cheek for a few seconds, making sure she had gotten everything. But over the course of those few seconds, her loss sunk in. She didn't even process that she was in a whole other place, the elf knew she had lost. It didn't even matter that she was still alive, she still wasn't able to bring down justice on someone who sought to cause injustice to others. Her one red eye flickered like a small fire, her teeth clenched together before she spun around the punched the closest object as hard as she could. That closest object, just so happened to be an building. Her punch caused a decently sized hole in the wall, bricks falling and crumpling under her strength. "FUCK! COME ON, I HAD THAT! WHY DO ALL OF THESE FUCKING VILLAINOUS CHARACTERS HAVE SUCH BULLSHIT MAGIC?! FUCK!" A few more hole would be made in the wall, the elf's burning anger increasing with each one. A few of the civilians stared at her, but in the end did nothing, as to avoid the wrath of someone who could obviously kill them if they got too close.

Aiyana had just wanted to do something fun for a day, just one whole day, without someone coming around to ruin things! It was enough to make a girl scream, and not for any good reason! The Wizard Saint of Pleasure had taken it upon herself to go on a tourism and shopping spree in the city of Era, the headquarters of the Magic Council, and ended up being in the one city being attacked by some kind of bullshit superpowered villain. Having had to drop what she was doing at a moments notice had made her upset, losing the fancy jewelry and chocolates she had bought for herself in the process, and now she was wanting to turn that anger on this woman that had ruined her whole day!

Oddly enough another Wizard Saint was already on the scene when she had arrived at the exact spot that the villain was at. Astrid Foss had beaten her here, or maybe she had been trying to just relax and have fun just like Aiyana Shuer had been trying today. In the end, it would seem that it wouldn't matter that the two of them were fighting this woman at the same time. Nothing seemed to hit, and for some unseen reason there was something causing her teleports to miss their mark. It was not just one or two of her teleports, it was all of them. The last one put her out in the middle of nowhere and way off the mark to the point she was out of the city. When she teleported back she would find herself being punched in the face. For some reason, even though she was a being made purely of magical energy, the punch hit with a force that actually made her worry that she would black out from the pain she felt when it met.

Giving up on teleporting, Aiyana would shapeshift angelic wings onto herself and fly up to try and help Astrid with the punch that she was charging up when the female would speak to them. She spoke about them being completely weak in her own words before saying she was generous and say she would show them her empire. But who was she trying to drag out? "Her" could be anybody. Before she could ask about any of it, and before she could manage to get close enough to do any kind of attack, she would find herself falling from the sky and landing in the dirt on her back. A moment would be made, eyes still closed, as she tried to figure out what had happened, where she had been moved to. Opening her eyes, the celestial spirit would see that she was no longer in the Era that she had been in moments before. The sky was blood-red, no animals flying through the sky and making the place look bare. The buildings were all bland and run-down, the rain coming down and hitting them with red-tinted water. The streets seemed busy, though they all looked unhappy with their lives. Statues of dragons littered the place, like cockroaches, and all she could do was find Astrid and try to work with her to solve this problem they were both now in.

It was clear the other girl was angry, so Aiyana would give her space even as she talked. "What the fuck just happened? What is this bullshit lately with these villains we've dealt with lately?" The question was serious, why were they so unlucky lately?
