It had been a very long time since he traveled through this area, the plains. The quietness of it was refreshing and it soothed his often plagued mind. Originally, the giant had planned to come out here for a bit of a vacation but unfortunately the Magic Council found it in themselves to ruin that. He still ended up being able to come out here, but it was for a job. There were reports coming in over the past couple of days that there were sightings of undead around the vicinity of Peace Village. Hero hadn't actually dealt with undead himself before so this was definitely going to be a first, although he was apparently going to have a partner in this whom would be helping out. Considering this was a high-priority job, it was likely the partner had experience with these sorts of things so chances were decent this was going to go relatively smoothly.

Then again, when Yamamoto was involved, not everything went along as planned. Unfortunately.

How strange. Eris was not resident of Fiore, nor was she officially part of any mage guilds. While she had an insignia on her body that she honestly remembered nothing about, it apparently belonged to a trading guild that only rarely dabbled in manners regarding combat. So why did this so-called magical council reach out to her? Was it because they recognized her superior power, that she was capable of crushing them all if they didn't get her on their good side? That thought alone placed a devilish smirk on the female's face. Honestly, she probably looked more like a villain than a hero these days. And perhaps that was the case, as she didn't consider herself either. She was but a huntress with this strange, insatiable desire to explore the world. And in the end, this little side job only contributed to that in it's own way, as she never was to this village. Peace... it was awfully boring. At least right now anyway. No wonder she never visited here, the young blood craved action and chance to prove itself. But there was nothing like that to be found here, only people going about their daily business, couples happily holding hands and children playing around the streets. For some reason, it all kinda made the chosen huntress angry. Why was that? Envy...?

"Perhaps you craved this lifestyle before you lost your memories. It would explain the bitterness you feel right now, still in position where you obtained nothing you wanted. Not that it is what you wish for now, but past desires can have strong effects on one's psyche."

"Stop digging through my memories, Visor. It's creepy... The magical council said there would be someone other than me trying to fix this weird undead problem, right? I hope they didn't send some kind of weakling, I'm not in a mood explaining that I broke 'em with accidental friendly fire."

The souls inside of the girl could only sigh. As careless as ever, she was. Even right now, she was standing on the tallest pole she could find in the Peace village, overlooking the buildings and drawing all attention to herself as some weirdo or extreme sports enthusiast. At least the breeze up here was pleasant, ruffling through her vixen ears and tail. Things still had to happen too, meaning there was a chance this job of hers would be an awfully boring one against a handful of half-baked undead enemies. But hopefully that would not be the case. Once again, the girl needed some action already! Or anything that would allow her to stop focusing on the fact that Visor and others inside of her were still trying to navigate the labyrinth of her mind, find the memories that she herself did not have any access to. Nor did she really wish to remember, as it seemed that her past life was awfully boring one anyway.

"Oh, I think I see someone walking the plains near the village. Might be your guy, tall and all. Tall usually means strong in these lands, right? Evolution went all weird and such?"

Undine's sudden voice inside of the girl's head made her look in the direction of this man in the distance, her interest piqued.

The clean air felt nice, while he was still capable of enjoying it. Then again, he could not spend all day standing around outside of the town when he was needed. With a bothered look on his face, Hero walked onward into the small, populated area where he was to both meet his partner and discover the cause for his summons. Over a period of just some seconds, the giant could feel a pair of eyes peering at him though he did not know exactly from where. Chances were high that the eyes came from someone he was supposed to be meeting with and they probably were not the social type considering they had not shown themselves yet. In the end, what mattered more was the task at hand so all he did was raise a hand in the air and waved twice to and fro. The motion was conspicuous enough to not be directed at anyone immediately near him and for his height, it was easier for someone to see from a distance. So to not waste any extra time waiting, Yamamoto moved on to the center of the village where he was told to conduct communications with his partner and the appointed leader of this place.

At this point, he could finally feel the presence of another magic user in the vicinity which happened to be atop one of the nearby buildings. Hero had never been good at detecting ethernano in living things so for him it was not very surprising. Nevermind that for now, however. Hero brought his attention to the square he was in and shouted loudly enough for everyone in the village to hear.

"Hero Yamamoto, present now to speak with the presiding leader of Peace Village regarding the recent disturbances!"

There was no hesitation in his voice as he spoke. A man whom knew no fear, because he had already survived through everything, had no issues announcing himself in such a clear way. It was simply easier that way.

Although people did come pouring out, including stated leader, there was no longer any sign of the presence he felt from earlier. Perhaps they were not an ally after all...? Titan supposed the opposite of fame was just as evident when one rose up in this particularly cruel world. Perhaps his reputation was starting to reach into Dark Guilds; this was definitely just the beginning if that was indeed the case. Then again, Hero had no substantial evidence leading to the conclusion that what he felt was necessarily evil so maybe he was wrong altogether. However, that did make sense. He was going to have to be more vigilant from now on if he was to get any further along his path to becoming someone strong enough to protect both himself and the people around him. Getting away from that topic, though, the giant was now surrounded by many of the village's populace whom were taking pictures and trying to get his attention. Yamamoto was certainly no celebrity, so this kind of attention made him feel rather uncomfortable though he hid away those thoughts deep in his mind and then bore a large smile and began to laugh.

"Hahaha! It is alright now, citizens. For I am here! You there. You must be the elder of this village. I must mince words with you about the recent disturbances. Lets take this elsewhere."

His tone was indeed boisterous, but not a moment was wasted in his attempt to exude seriousness from his aura. This was not a time for games after all.

Peace village, Mashyuu was just here with Imai, his mentee, and Itsu his normal job partner for a vacation that turned to war when the Sabertooth's learned that Ares, a god of war had visited and turned the peace loving villagers into ruthless killers to quickly create an army. Mashyuu was in the middle of investigating why he was doing this when he received a message from the Gm of Sabertooth Kite. Mashyuu groaned and put his black and silver gloved hand on the top of his head while kicking the ground under his spiked boots. Itsu, still clad in her bone white armor giggled and grasped the weapon on her shapely hip. "Well, it looks like we are turning around. Good thing we sent Imai on ahead to be safe." She chimed in. Mashyuu smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah well. I want you to go catch up with Imai. He is still a young Wizard and you are a good watchful eye. Apparently there is already another Wizard from Fairy Tail on the way. I haven't worked with a Fairy in a long time so this will be nice." His thoughts instantly went back to his ex-wife Kanix who had been revived by a necromancer and after the two battled for her soul she left Sabertooth and Fairy Tail to go and find herself. He wondered if she was safe or if something had happened to her. The ring she had given him, powered by love stopped working months ago, as his heart didn't care in the way it once did because she was no longer the person he fell in love with. That didn't mean he cared about her any less though.

Itsu frowned, wanting so badly to wade into hordes of monsters and beat them senseless, anything other than hurting people who didn't want to do what they were doing. Itsu tapped the hilt of her weapon and nodded instead of fighting the reasoning all together. She did work with Imai often and since dealing with Pluto to become A rank, Mashyuu had been much more hands on with the guild members, shaping them into the Wizards of tomorrow like he had done long ago, the first time he was a high ranking Wizard in the world. After speaking a command word and changing into a half ram Itsu waved at Mashyuu and galloped off after Imai to join him. With his friends gone and away safely Mashyuu knew that he wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of their minds being taken over and thanks to the Goddess that had kept his body and mind intact while he was buried he had a strong resistance to mind effects so he should be safe as well. He patted his chest and his orange and white vest and pants flashed, changing into a brown martial arts gi that allowed him to move better and more freely. With a flex of his forearms Mashyuu conjured a blanket of thin earth and used it to float up into the sky, headed back to peace village....

Mashyuu started to drift down towards the center of the village where a large group of people were standing, looking at a large man in orange and white with a bald head. Among these people was the village leader, a slightly older man Mashyuu had freed while Imai battled Aries. The man with salt and pepper hair pointed up at Mashyuu and waved. "Oh! Two Wizards have come to help!" Mashyuu waved and dropped off his flying carpet of dirt and opened his arms wide. "Ladies and Gentlemen of Peace Village, your savior, Mashyuu, Earth God Slayer, Sabertooth's number one Wizard has returned to push back the threat that looms in the distance. No army is too big for me. No challenge too great. And together with my friend here..." At this point Mashyuu patted the strangers back firmly. "We will not be stopped." Mashyuu grasped the man's shoulder and waved to the crowd. "Now we ask that you all return to your homes, and lock up the doors while we take care of things outside the village walls. We shall return to give you the good news in a few hours tops." The crowd cheered and dispersed leaving only the two standing around. "Hey man, I got all the info we need. You're from Fairy Tail right? I'm Mashyuu, good to meet you. Lets head to the front gate and we can talk about this job."

What now? Another presence showed up moments later, though this time it was not nearly as powerful as the previous one. It also did not feel ominous in any way. In fact, it was more like his own. That was when the elder pointed up and announced the other person whom had just arrived; it seemed as though the village recognized the face. If this new person had already been here before, this may have made things quite a bit easier in several ways. The giant also eventually looked up and saw a young man with wild hair, riding upon a bed of... soil? An earth Mage. Against the Undead, that was going to be an excellent benefit to the task at hand. The young man jumped down from said sheet of soil and grappled one of Titan's shoulders as they fell. They then hung there and announced themselves boisterously to everyone in the vicinity while at the same time telling them all to return to their homes and not leave.I like this kid. This was definitely going to be fun, if this person was the one Hero was going to be working with. The man happened to be nearly spot on with controlling earth, but Mashyuu was apparently also a God Slayer which was quite interesting. As all of the villagers finally began to disperse, Yamamoto began to speak, though he started in with a hearty laugh.

"Hahahaha! Well met, Mashyuu. The name is Hero, and well... I am not from Fairy Tail but I certainly fight like them! I'm the Diamond Ace of Golden Phoenix; it's a pleasure."

The man's tone was genuinely carefree and proud, as though it no longer even mattered that the two wizards had a job to do. It was rare to come across someone like this, so it was a pretty awesome change to be completely honest. Hero was once a very serious man... but somewhere along the line, his views changed. The way in which he needed to present himself changed drastically. Perhaps his desire to protect allowed him to change it such a way that made him want to alleviate the stress on the common people by taking it all on himself with a bright smile. Then again, in his head, he was still just as serious as ever. A few moments did pass along by as he thought to himself but then he spoke once more.

"Normally I handle things with a lot of care you know? However! I would like to try something different today. Lets wing it, and see where this takes us? Don't you think it'd be more fun that way?"

Mashyuu's brow raised sharply when the man said he was from the Golden Bird. This was an interesting development that he planned on confirming. Mashyuu leaned in close to the bald man and took a big whiff of him then pulled away and nodded up and down. "Mhm. Damn Magic Council gave me bad info but you sure do smell like here... A friend I have that used to be in your guild until she met an ill timed fate. So in honor of her I have made all of your guild my friend." Mashyuu explained as the duo went on towards the front gates of town. The Slayers glowing blue eyes looked the giant over a few times and then around him, noticing that the man was alone, much like Mashyuu. "So you came here alone eh? I sent my partner on ahead so I could let lose against these undead without her worrying about me and trying to keep up. She gets a little protective." The pair came to the front gate of the village as Hero explained that he wanted to try and relax a little and not go into battle with a plan. The old Mashyuu would have been very okay with that but since nearly staying dead he had changed a great deal. "Hey big guy, you do what you do. Just remember, you are a massive walking slab of food for the undead. As for me.. I always have a plan." Mashyuu was about to motion to the guards to open the gate when he felt something tug at his pant leg a few times.

Slowly Mashyuu turned his head around and glared over his shoulder at a small girl who was sheepishly looking up at the pair of powerful Wizards. As politely as he could manage, Mashyuu smiled at the girl while turning and dropping to a knee. "Sweetie, it's not safe here right now. You should return home to your family." "I will but I have to tell you both something since you're risking your lives to save us all. You see.... its... the monsters that are coming are because of me and my friend... yeah. We found this cat a few days ago and it didn't have a home. So we took it to my house. Maybe it wasn't the best idea because the cat had a mustache like a bad guy from those silent lacrima films. Well it jumped on my friends head and she started to act all weird then ran out of the village with the cat on her head saying she was going to destroy everything. Please, you have to save her!" The child quickly blurted out. Mashyuu looked back up to Hero then down to the girl again. "Okay, you have my word that your friend will come home safe and sound." The girl smiled wide and ran off to her home. Mashyuu stood up and motioned for the doors to be opened while sighing with annoyance. "Okay, new goal. We have to get that cat off the poor kids head without hurting her."

Once the pair were outside of the village Mashyuu cracked his neck and dropped down, scooping up some earth in his hand to get a good feel for it then smeared it on his face. "These things can't get into the village so I'm gonna make a second wall." Mashyuu had the uncanny ability while not under pressure of combat to create amazing stone and earth structures. The ground trembled under the entire village as the plates of the earth themselves shifted and a massive wall of earth, exploded up around the walls of the village to give it a second layer of defense. "Hero, if you want to lead the way, I think now is the time."

This young man, Mashyuu always had a plan, huh? That was an interesting statement, considering Hero was usually the one who uttered those sorts of things. It was very clear that the giant had changed his views a lot over the past year. In fact, it was hard to believe that a year had already passed since he started on this path. Yamamoto had seen a great many things in his time as a Mage, though in many of those cases they weren't heart-warming experiences. There were some things that continued to metaphorically gnaw at his insides, desperately wanting to come out and wreak havoc upon his surroundings. Keeping him sane was really only one powerful desire: to protect. To protect everyone, even those who could handle themselves in battle. These thoughts made his blood boil, made his heart pound rapidly, and made his whole world turn bright. He was not entirely certain when exactly this feeling began manifesting but he did know that it was coming from some place very far away... and yet very close by. The feeling was almost eerie, as though there was a puppet master tugging at the strings burrowed deep into his large body. To think this all started because of his cousin... it was pretty crazy, and also enlightening. It really did only take a single drop of water to cause a ripple... and then a wave... and then a tsunami.

"Is that so! Guess that means I'll be having all the fun then."

A wide grin stretched across his face and then he gave the young man a thumb up with his right hand as if to say "it will be all right". Heh. What was he, some superhero out of a manga? Hopefully he was able to back up this demeanor in the fight that was going to come in just a few moments. Then Titan's thoughts were interrupted when a young child grabbed onto Mashyuu's pant leg, and though he did say everything that was necessary, there was only one thing Hero needed to add before the girl ran off.

"It is alright, young lady. There is nothing to fear, for we are here!"

He then smiled with gusto and propped fists onto either side of his hips before letting out a proud laugh. Sure, it was not at all necessary, but for Hero? Ensuring the mental stability of the people was just as important as eliminating any physical threats to them. He really was that kind of comic character. A moment later, he turned around in one fluid motion and walked out of the town gate with his new partner. The young man started off by making a large, earthen wall to further protect the village and also mentioned a couple other things. Yamamoto already knew how to go about this however and it was very simple; in these situations, simplicity tended to be the better option.

"Lets do this then, Mashyuu. I will be the main force, keeping the bags of bones busy while you go in and ensure the safety of that young girl's friend. As for the cat... fashion a sturdy box for it."

After he finished speaking, Hero took a simple stance and then darted off at full speed, using the wall behind him as a support to propel him further forward. Undead started springing lively from the ground as he ran. Heh. Yamamoto charged ethernano into his right arm and started to bring it back. Lucky for the Undead, they couldn't feel pain because this was definitely going to hurt a bunch of them.

    "Serious Series... SERIOUS PUNCH!"

A giant wave of pressure flew out from his right fist and blew away legions of the Undead, though more began popping up again. Hopefully Mashyuu was coming up with something to get this done without hurting anything alive.

This guy is too much.... is he seriously saying what it sounds like he's saying? Mashyuu wondered lazily as the girl walked away and Hero moved towards the gate while giving Mashyuu a thumbs up. Mashyuu sighed at the giant of a man and shook his head. In just a little over a year Mashyuu had seen Sabertooth fall out of the sky twice, slain more dragons than he could have counted, watched friends and lovers die, and had died himself all before being brought back to life by having the soul of a Goddess shoved into his body, then went on to slay Gods, watch the guild hall fall again.... and more than he cared to admit after that. Over all Mashyuu had become that grumpy old man who was still very spry and that was in a very short life. Not to mention he had a child, and along with Kanix took the child to a different realm where they all aged five years in just a few days. "Something tells me things won't be so easy as to just go wade through the center of this group and find the leader. I'd bet we will have to draw it out. I suggest we just start smashing through things. Looks like you are a close range fighter. I'll try to support you with ranged spells while I have them, then move in to melee range to bring down the tougher guys." Mashyuu explained just before Hero braced himself against the stone wall Mashyuu had created then took off for the horde that was off in the distance.

Faint blue lights appeared across the barren field of earth that reached out past Peace Village, ghosts of all sorts raised up phantom weapons and shields, and in a mad dash the creatures charged at Hero and in proxy Mashyuu. Mashyuu was already worried that the ghosts wouldn't bother with the pair since they could simply fly straight through the Wizards and continue on their way to harm the village. That was until Hero unleashed a massive blast from his fist, knocking away a small horde of the undead in a single attack. Mashyuu smirked and took off behind Hero, his spiked boots and Slayer enhanced body carried him super humanly fast across the battle field. Soon he was at Hero's side and pulling both hands back. He closed his fists and allowed energy to build up in his palms. Rays of light started to erupt from between Mashyuu's fingers as he placed his palms together and then thrust them out in front of both himself and Hero. "Light Dragon's Holy Shower!" Mashyuu unleashed a cone of magical light that stuck a cluster of undead ghosts and nearly destroyed them with his holy power alone. However that was just a way to stun them to set Hero up to deal some massive damage.

Mashyuu came to a sliding stop and extended his left arm, in his palm a magical bow of energy erupted into the realm, looking like a spider web. Mashyuu took a deep breath and started to pull the magical string back, creating shot after shot of weak magical arrows to pepper small groups of undead before they could close in on the pair, a simple way to deal some damage before they got in to where Hero would take them down. Once a good chunk of a group was taken down Mashyuu pulled his bow string back and focused on the largest cluster he could find. A large arrow appeared in his grip as he whispered. "Sniper Elite." Effortlessly he released the arrow and let it soar roughly fifty meters where it exploded on impact with a ghost, creating a thirty meter blast that knocked ghosts off their feet while returning the one that was directly hit back to the afterlife. "There are a lot of these things. I get the feeling we are gonna be here a while. Even if we manage to take out big chunks of these things. You got a way to push back large groups of enemies? If not I have a way to at least hold the weaker ones in place!" Mashyuu called out, wondering if Hero was more of a hit things over and over till they were dead or dying type.

What he said did make simple sense, but he honestly made it too complicated. The young man sounded a lot like Hero did from a year ago, and the giant felt a lot like the people who had to deal with his planning. Anyway, his partner had a point. Nothing was as simple as beating things up until the boss appeared. A strategy of some kind was needed in order to make these kind of tasks go smoothly; lucky for Mashyuu, Yamamoto had plenty of ways to get many enemies out of their way. However... the problem was that Hero's abilities were extremely widespread, meaning that chances were really high that his partner would get caught in the blast. Just then, Titan thought of the perfect technique to use for such an occasion.

"I have just the thing, Mashyuu! But try to keep yourself planted to the ground, okay? Wouldn't want you flying off into the air with the rest of the bones."

Hero then charged ethernano throughout his body until a golden aura began to visibly manifest around him which tightly outlined his musculature. Honestly, the man had never tried this out before in actual jobs due to the fact that the impacts were really powerful and wide, which meant damage to homes and/or properties. The last things Titan needed were repair bills at this point in his life. Hero then took an upright running stance, and as he did so, the aura around him became brighter. After a few moments, his body was no longer visible as it was completely enveloped in light and then he darted forward, unleashing a huge torrent of wind in his wake. Behind him was a golden streak of light that followed his every movement. The giant had difficulty changing directions while using this ability so he often had to improvise. This led to him having to make full stops and using that momentum to dart off into the next direction. Doing such a thing caused a lot of destruction, which was why the giant had to start training in places where there were more enemies than allies. Each time Yamamoto stopped a giant wave of force lurched out from his stopped position, forcing countless Undead to fly out through the air at impressive speeds. He was moving so quickly in fact that the blasts overlapped and caused the skeletons to smash against each other.

"Mashyuu! I will keep them all busy by running around. You focus on drawing out the young girl!"

Little did either of them know at the moment that the blasts were wide enough to reach the walls Mashyuu had made...

"Planted on the ground eh? Trust me, I don't move if I don't want to." Mashyuu laughed and slid to a stop while Hero readied his spell. A moment later he exploded into pure energy, Mashyuu considered eating the light to keep up his magical reserves, but it wouldn't do him any good if that light was actually Hero and Mashyuu ate the man. Or worse, only ate part of him, leaving Hero crippled. Mashyuu waved at Hero when he shouted that he was going to start running around to try to thin the heard. "Try to put gaps between their ranks, it seems like they move as a unit! It will slow them down if they have to regroup!" Mashyuu shouted out to the mountain like man in the cape and apparent sleeping attire. The God Slayer saluted Hero then turned his attention to a group of five that were coming up on him as they spoke. "AHHHHHHH!" He shouted while energy built up around him and a blast of golden light washed over him in waves, changing the color of his hair and eyebrows while giving off a violent burning effect to the undead spirits that dared to surround the God Slayer.

Blue eyes darted from side to side as Mashyuu fell into his mountain stance. The Ghosts started to move in on him from every side, making the God Slayer smirk as he clapped his hands together and cast a spell of pure Deific infused power. "Earth Gods Barrage!" Mashyuu shouted out to the heavens above. A spark flew from his body and hit the ground then thousands of stone fists exploded out of the ground around Mashyuu up to just above his height and out fifty meters in every direction, smashing into the ghost like creatures, sending them flying away from the God Slayer rapidly. Mashyuu took a deep breath and slammed his foot hard into the ground. Behind him a small volcano rose up and started to rumble. "Secret Art: Earth Gods Volcanic Meteor!" Again his foot smashed into the ground causing the volcano to erupt, launching a blast of molten stone out past the God Slayer and into one of the five ghosts, destroying it in an instant. So far so good, but Mashyuu had already used two of his higher ranked spells and thus drained some of his magic. A second and third stomp of his spiked boots caused two more blasts to explode out of the volcano behind him, destroying two more of the Ghosts before the spell ended, thus taking down three of the five he had initially charged. Mashyuu started to run, his feet kicking up dirt and stone under him as his boots crunched the ground and soon he was within striking distance of the Ghosts. Luckily for him they were touching the ground, meaning he could sense every move they were making before they had the chance to truly act. He ducked a stab from one Ghosts sword, dropped to his knees and slid past both while he spun around and punched the ground, casting his signature spell. "Earth Gods Molten Wave!" From the point Mashyuu punched, the ground rolled and ejected a tidal wave of molten lava and stone, melting the two remaining Ghosts until they no longer stood in this realm. Slowly Mashyuu picked himself up and looked around the battle field. "There are just too many of them to simply keep blowing through like this. We either need help or need to come up with a better plan of attack."

Post by Hero Yamamoto 23rd June 2017, 3:32 pm

"Neigh, my friend, help will not be necessary for something so simple. Think about it, Mashyuu! Cats are predatory creatures. Naturally they would be hiding somewhere nearby, waiting for the right time to pounce! The Undead are merely a diversion to get us to expend our energy. I'll leave it to you to search, while I keep the bags of bones at bay!"

The man spoke while running in smaller circles around the young partner without stopping in order to prevent injury. As he finished speaking, the giant darted back out into the fray to stop the legions' advances and hopefully give Mashyuu the time he needed to find the young girl. As much as Hero smiled however... deep down, he had a much more serious reason for finding and saving that child. It was not too long ago when Yamamoto traveled to Motor City to handle the threat of Genesis upon the place. Those two young siblings, Kenta and Yuka... the boy sacrificed his life in order to protect his younger sister, as Titan dictated at that point in time. Being forced to make that choice was something Hero could never let go. The man did not want something like that to happen ever again, and that thought alone made him wish he was the one searching for the girl. Every last bit of him wanted to go, but he had a job to do. His duty was to keep the Undead busy; he was the best one suited to this due to what his Magic made him capable of. Hero was the gigantic target in the current situation to be blunt. Thoughts of those children made him grit his teeth and made his blood boil. In fact, his mental state began to show in his aura via the jet black streaks which flowed violently through the gold around his body. However, all he could do right now was keep running around.

Seconds continued to tick on by, and even though he felt fine physically, something darker steadily began to claw at his insides. A somehow eerie yet recognizable voice began to echo within his unclouded mind.

It's painful isn't it... the cruelty of this world.

The voice was clearly not his own, and yet he knew it intimately, as though the voice belonged to someone very close to him.

What you are starting to become... you have no idea, do you? Your destiny. Your heritage.

What was this voice going on about? None of that made any sense to the giant. Of course he knew who he was... and as for destiny, was that not something one ordained on their own?

Interesting. You don't even know to whom this voice belongs, and yet you recognize it. The path you are taking is far greater than you can possibly imagine, Hero Yamamoto despite making a grave mistake in the past.

It was truly a mystery. Hero believed that he was quite intuitive when it came to these sorts of things but he really had no idea what was going on. Where was this voice coming from? How did it know his name?

Oho. You referred to me as "it" instead of he or she, and even if you did not mean that literally, you are quite correct. I am not a person. I am a God, and you? You will learn that in time. For now, here is a parting gift to make you struggle ever more.

When Hero had returned to reality, the wall Mashyuu had made started tumbling down. SHIT! This was quite literally the worst thing that could happen right now and all Hero could do at the moment was return to the front of the gate and fight off the Undead who steadily attempted to break through him and get to the town.

"Bring it on, tormented souls! I will send you all back to where you belong!"

Post by redheadedstepchild 26th June 2017, 1:29 pm

One thing could describe this situation, pointless. How was anyone expected to make it through all the undead swarming and defeat them let alone the leader of this horde. Even the most battle hardy of Wizards would have given up at the sheer number of monsters. This was like the monster that sent the tidal wave over Fiore. Anyone who chose to remain in that town instead of getting away when they had the chance deserved death. The difference here was that the people on the other side didn't chose this, they didn't even have a chance to flee for their lives before this was all upon them. Mashyuu couldn't let the people of Peace Village suffer two tragic events in the same day. Seeing as Hero was busy running around like a chicken with his head cut off it was up to Mashyuu to do some real combat. But could he possibly thin the heard enough for him to reveal the leader of this group of ghosts, a small girl with a devil cat on her head? Where was Kite when you needed him? With the golden light still washing over the God Slayer he took the power and ran with it. Mashyuu's booted feet carried him into a bigger crowd, he silenced the world around him and focused only on the task at hand, driving chunks of these things back and destroying the rest. Mashyuu shoulder tackled the first in a small group, blowing it back from the force of his strike, causing the ghost to stumble into a smaller group that managed to keep the off balance monster from falling over in one shot. Mashyuu ducked as he connected with his shoulder, dodging the swing of a ghostly sword that would have removed his neck and head from his shoulders had he not moved. His entire body twisted to the left, his left palm planting firmly in the ground while his right hand shot out and caught the ghost in the side of the knee, making the thing buckle under the pressure all while Mashyuu twisted around and drove his foot into the Ghosts face, crushing what would have been bone with the force of his kick alone. The monster howled in pain and brought its hands up to hold its face while it tried to get away from the combat in order to recover. Mashyuu finished his movement and sprang up to his feet and brought his left fist up to smash into the jaw of the Ghost Mashyuu had kicked in the face. "Dragon Fist!" He shouted, driving his the monster off its feet, using the lesser version of the attack he had learned during the Road Fighter tournament. The monster was punched off his feet and clattered to the ground in a limp heap as Mashyuu knocked the monster out with a single strike. The God Slayer unleashed a massive scream and jumped backwards in order to evade the strike of a phantom like blast that hit the air where Mashyuu was just standing then vanished as the God Slayer touched down a few feet to the side and back from where he was standing just a moment ago. He placed his hand up as a massive round stone came up from the ground and floated at his palm. "Dragon Gods Meteor Swarm!" He shouted, wrapping the rock in holy light then launched it into a small group of the undead, knocking them aside like they were small blocks that were barely stacked atop one another. The God Slayer cracked his knuckles and pulled his arms back while he flashed with a silver light. "Quick Silver!" He shouted. The God Slayer was wrapped in a silver skin like substance that acted as armor, a spell his father had made famous a long while back. Mashyuu charged back into the group of countless Undead and started to swing his feet and fists randomly at anything that got close to him. No longer worried about weather or not he took a hit, his Quicksilver powers reflected physical strikes and bounced them back at the ghosts who had attacked him, harming themselves instead. As his armor effect ended golden sparks flew off his body and he jumped up. His body rapidly became living golden electricity that ripped through a line of undead and reformed into Mashyuu, crouched down on a single knee facing the village. "Lightning Leap." Mashyuu's blue eyes were focused on the village and the undead that had managed to slip past the Wizards, his wall was going to come down at any moment. He needed to get to the village to keep it safe. "Hero! They are gonna break into the Village! I'm going to help them, keep thinning them out here!" He shouted and flexed every muscle in his body before rocketing towards Peace Village!

Mashyuu moved like a rocket towards the village, the fight going on behind him no longer on his mind. It didn't matter to the Slayer right now, Hero seemed capable enough and the Earth user was more of a defensive expert as it was. Mashyuu Stopped at the side of the village and  stomped his foot on the ground. "Earth Gods Basilisk Wall!" He commanded. The ground quaked and from it a massive wall of stone sprouted out, four dog like heads looked out towards the advancing group of undead, turning them to stone in the process. The God Slayer then jumped over his wall and into the village where a ghost was about to strike down the young child who asked the duo to save her friend. Mashyuu tackled the thing to the ground and smashed his fist into the back of the things head, caving it in, since it was already dead Mashyuu had no concern for its life in any way. The young girl gasped when she saw Mashyuu return to help her and the village. "Go to the town hall and make sure the guards know that these things can be destroyed!" Mashyuu shouted. The God Slayer stood up and pushed his hand out towards the right where a trio of Ghosts were coming at him and the girl. "Earth Gods Combo: Part One!" He shouted, sending three stone pillars up into the trio of Ghosts, driving the pillars into their stomachs, doubling them over. Mashyuu then dropped to the ground and placed his palms on it. "Earth Gods Combo: Part Two! Earth Gods Explosive Field!" He cast two spells at the same time. The ground to his left by the main gate started to softly glow with magical power, a trap set to explode should anything touch down. To his right the ground opened up and swallowed the three undead, squeezing them till there was nothing left. "Okay, time to find the next set of undead!" Mashyuu shouted and made his way towards the heart of the village.

    He... he... he... hehehaahehahehehahehahHEHAHAHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHEHA

A very different voice sprung from the depths of his mind, a crazed kind of laughter that chilled one's bones to the core. Titan had absolutely no idea what was going on with him today and that thought alone worried the hell out of him. In a time like this, not knowing something was going to cause a lot of extra problems; as the person who was supposed to hold these hordes back while Mashyuu looked for the missing girl, it was imperative that Hero knew exactly everything that was going on in this situation.

Poor Hero doesn't know what's going on? So young~ Hehehe. In that case, I'll have some fun, to help those other ones give you a lesson in maturing.

    Deep within Hero's subconsciousness...

Those were the last words the giant heard before his consciousness faded to black. When he came to, Yamamoto was in a foreign land that he did not recognize, which was a shock because he had been most everywhere in his lifetime. The ground under his feet was soft and it conformed to their curvature and the ground itself was covered by perfectly green grass and many different kids of flowers; the air was clean, devoid of any toxic fumes and there was a quiet breeze billowing through the space around his body which felt refreshing to the touch; the sky was clear for miles in every conceivable direction, and farther into the sky were massive... planets? Where in the hell was he? This place felt physically perfect and was mentally soothing. The giant took a deep breath in... and then back out, but there was no change in scents in the air, which meant that he was not physically transported anywhere. What was happening to his body then? Hero was then reminded of that chilling voice before he blacked out. Before he could dwell on that any longer, however, a woman's voice announced itself followed by its owner.

"You truly are as large as they said you were, but I didn't believe it until now. Do you... remember me, Hero?"

The young woman in front of Titan actually looked somewhat familiar but he was too far away to get a good enough look at her face. Hero knelt down and had better sight of her... it could not be. She... she died, didn't she...? Yamamoto could not tell but there were tears falling from his eyes and tumbling onto the flowers below. This woman... she started to cry as well and then pressed her hands on either side of his face.

"I never thought I'd get to see the day... that I could be reunited with my only son. Oh, how I've missed you..."

Her hands felt warm and her voice was ringing in the man's large ears. She seemed so delicate and yet she gave off this aura of strength Hero had never seen before. This... this was his mother. It had to be, and yet... did that mean he was in the resting place of the souls who were at peace? If so, why? Why was he brought to this place, when he was right in the middle of something dreadfully important? The giant could not think of any reason why this happened but while he was thinking, another person appeared, though they had an entirely different presence than his mother. This person was neither dead nor alive judging by the feeling alone. Hero stood up after a few moments of regaining composure to address the new presence in the area.

"This reunion was inevitable, if you were to ever accept who you truly are. I am certain you have many questions, but I will only answer one and then you will listen. I am the First and your earliest ancestor. You are the Last and the final descendant. This place is not for rest, but for birth. Your birth. I'll explain briefly, so that I don't lose your attention due to what is going on in the physical world."

Well that was certainly blunt. This person was correct in that Hero still had many questions but at this point, it was more important to return as quickly as possible. As much as it was wonderful to meet his mother... there were other lives at stake while this was going on. The giant's face turned very serious and then his voice boomed throughout the area, as though it was hooked up to Magic amplifiers.

"I will not interrupt you then. Speak quickly."

Out of the corner of his left eye, he could see his mother smiling proudly at him. She did not even flinch at the loudness of Titan's voice. Then the person in front of him began to speak once more.

"You are the last descendant of a long line of heroes. What I mean by this is simple: before recorded history, the Gods favored a singular family and decreed that every other generation was to inherit the Hero's Will. It boils down to sharing the lifeblood of the immortal Gods who rule over all things. What this means for you is also simple. Your destiny lies in your desire to protect and serve the people around you. You will guide generation after generation into the future in hopes that some day, humanity will grow into something bright. How you decide to follow this path is up to you but remember this, Yamamoto: be good always in your endeavors, or you will face the wrathful judgment of the Gods."

Hero honestly had nothing to say to any of that since he did not understand any of what this entity said.

"You will understand in time. There is one other thing I must tell you before you return. Some time soon, you will be summoned by a great being. You must succeed if you wish to attain your birthright."

After saying that, Yamamoto's mother turned him sideways to face her and then spoke in a somber yet loving manner. Hero was never going to forget what his mother looked like ever again, of this he was certain.

"I will be here always, Hero. I love you with all my heart, for all time."

Back to the the present time...

While Hero was trapped within his own mind, this other more ominous presence took control of the giant's body. Though this being did not do anything bad, it did do something directly to Titan himself. Essentially, it forced Yamamoto into a sort of adrenaline rush which subsequently over time became a rage-like state. The minutes that flew by were spent tearing through waves of the Undead and he came close several times to destroying the walls of the town, though even unconsciously he managed to keep the defenses relatively intact. His body grew more and more ragged, several cuts both shallow and deep covering his large body even though it showed no signs of slowing down. Without his mind processing his power output, craters were being formed all over the battlefield, some deeper than others. At one point he got so close to the gate that he left a giant crack in the wall just nearby. That was right around the time Hero returned to consciousness, but that did not change anything. In fact, the giant was in a panic trying to calm his body down which only made it worse. It came to the point where the Undead would no longer come close to him because of the aura he gave off. What he needed the most right now was his partner Mashyuu. Titan needed the support to snap himself out of this adrenaline rush before he could do anymore damage to the village right behind him. For the time being, he was fighting over control of himself which led to screaming so loudly that shock waves began tearing up the vast area in front of him.

Mashyuu... you better come back soon... I don't know how much longer I can handle this by myself in this condition.

Post by Wolfe 2nd July 2017, 2:23 am

Wolfe had recently gotten back from his job in the arena with Mashyuu only a few days ago. It had been an interesting ordeal overall, and in the end he had a chance to meet a mage from Sabertooth which was Infinity Hydra’s sister guild. He wasn’t sure if he knew anyone else from Sabertooth before he lost his memory but, since he had returned he hadn’t had the chance to meet any of them yet, so it was a good experience. That night after winning the match the two of them had a chance to sit down and enjoy a meal and talk about some of the basics about each other and anything Mashyuu could tell him about Sabertooth. Wolfe’s lack of memory meant he was always up for a talk and no matter the subject it was always new and he was eager to listen about almost anything anyone had to offer him information wise. They talked about magic, and about fighting in general as both of them seemed to have very different styles of fighting and obviously very different types of magic. It seemed Mashyuu shared a trait of Ardere’s as he too was a god slayer, but instead of fire it seemed his element was earth, and Wolfe made sure to ask at least a little bit about that topic. Sometime after the meal was over and they had conversed for a while the two parted way with the understanding that when they got back to their guilds and had some down time the two would have meet again and share some more time, and a meal together. Wolfe then made his way to his room for the night, then back home to his guild the next morning.

Upon his return Wolfe had picked up his duties as Ace again, and as a teacher to some of the newer and younger members of the guild. As the Ace it seemed it was his duty to help teach unexperienced mages how to fight to survive. Even though Wolfe didn’t know where or how he learned to fight, it seemed he was a natural, and because of it he had a lot to offer to teach new people. As Ace he was also in charge of day to day operations of the guild that Ardere was either too busy for or sometime just threw at Wolfe so he didn’t get bogged down himself. Wolfe had no issues with it though and seemed to fall into the position with ease which made him believe that he must of enjoyed it before his memory loss as well, and from what Ardere had told him, it seemed he did. Another one of his duties was also preforming exams for any of the members of the guild that were a lower rank them himself that Ardere didn’t, or couldn’t get to, and upon his return he had one the very next day after his return for one of his guild mates named Poom. The young mage had managed to pass and now on his way to working on some newer, more dangerous jobs. However, Wolfe had been more than impressed enough with his performance that he wasn’t too concerned.

Any time he didn’t spend performing his Ace duties and sleeping to get rest, he was either in the library or in his workshop conversing with RAINE to catch himself up on the more educational stuff that wasn’t worth bringing up in general conversation. It seemed he was also slowly getting back into tinkering with electronics and building things again. Upon his return to the guild from his escape and having a chance to exam his home and workshop he found tons of blueprints for just about everything he could imagine. He as found a bunch of half-finished projects all over his workshop and was devoting some of his time to try and knock as many of them out as he could. From what he could make out besides RAINE, which seemed was his greatest invention yet, he had was working on a motorcycle that was fueled by lightning magic like his own, a prototype mech type suit for who knows what, and as for a hover board using wind magic to fuel it that he had completed and it seemed it had been for someone named Elyx, but the name wasn’t in any record of Infinity Hydra members. This was one of those things he knew he needed to look into at later time, but had been so busy with everything else had forgotten for the most part.

This night he had been looking over a combination of everything as he looked over some of the blueprints he had brought to his office to look over as he took short breaks from guild related work. However, it was starting to get a little bit on the late side and he knew he was going to need to wrap it up soon and get some sleep. Luckily it seemed he was finally on the mend from his time he was away and tortured, as it seemed from what Ardere had told him before he went missing he used to almost never sleep as it seemed his particular element was more energy based than others and he needed less sleep. Upon his return and learning about himself as an elemental it seemed his spark must have been damaged during the time he was tortured and it had needed time to heal up. So now he needed a little less sleep, but he still felt the need to get at least a moderate amount of sleep as he was not a hundred percent yet, and he was starting to get to the point this evening. So after a few more things and after he was done overlooking the last blueprint he finally got up and left his office for the night and made his way out of the guild and down the way to his home that was only like a little over a hundred meters from the guild and built right into the side of the mountain near the top. He made his way past the rain storm that always lingered over his home that was caused by the huge super powered Tesla Coil that came out of the top of his home and shot about fifty or so meters into the air, and into his house. Wolfe then slowly made his nightly rounds and then off to bed to try and get an ok amount of sleep before the next day.

However, it seemed that night had other plans in store for him as his dreams began to take form, much like the night of the fall of Sabertooth, and when he knew to head out to do the job that had resulted in Wolfe helping Mashyuu with the fight in the arena. At first his dream seemed normal but as it continued it started to become tainted with a mystic darkness and he saw visions of young woman he had no memory of. The girl was surrounded by what looked like bodies made of shadow and reeked of death, and she herself seemed to be surrounded by a dark taint that distorted his whole dream. Then suddenly Wolfe woke up with a feeling of dread and the heavy feeling of darkness on his mind. He sat for a moment and tried to think about the young girl and he thought maybe it was a memory, but as he gave it more thought it seemed less like a memory and more like a vision. As he added the darkness and what seemed like the aspect of death he was stating to believe more and more that this was another vision in his dream and that he felt the same pull he felt before. Wolfe had followed the pulls before and they had not only been right, but they had worked out for him so far, so he had no reason to not follow it this time. So he arose from his bed and as he looked around he noticed it had only been a few hours so it was still dark outside, but it was getting close the sunrise. Wolfe got up and put on his pants and boots and then without grabbing his shirt as he figured there was going to be a lot of fighting and he would rather not ruin a good shirt in the fray. Wolfe then grabbed his dagger off the table on the way out and placed in on his belt on the small of his back like it was meant to be and made his way out of the door to the roof of his house and once there he looked up into the sky as it rained down on him and lightning shot across the sky and in a brilliant flash of light Wolfe shifted into a bolt of lightning and shot into the sky among the other lightning and was gone.

As Wolfe shot across the sky as a brilliantly bright flash of lightning his mind wandered to both where he was going and also to the knife he had grabbed on the way out. He was not exactly sure where he was heading but deep in his gut he had almost like an internal compass that seemed to lead him in the right direction. He wasn’t sure how, but the two times before it had worked out the same way as well, and as best as he could tell, the thing that was causing the visions and dreams was also what was helping to lead him to the very things his dreams were linked to. As for the knife, he didn’t know where it had come from, but it seemed to appear one day out of nowhere and as soon as he had seen it he felt connected to it and he had no clue why. When he had asked around a little about it, it seemed no one knew anything about it and couldn’t explain why it was connected to Wolfe. However, it was easy to see and feel there was something magical about it, but that was all he could figure out about it. So lately Wolfe had been picking up the blade and keeping it on his person all the time, and it seemed right. He only hoped sometime in the near future the connection he felt to the blade would reveal itself to him.

As Wolfe shot through the sky the sun was beginning to break across the land of Fiore and soon Wolfe had a better view of the land as he shot across the sky guided by his gut feelings. It didn’t take too much longer before he got that feeling and he set himself down to examine an area near some woods not that far off from a village he could see in the distance. However, as soon as he set down he could feel the same type of presence he felt in his vision, and this place reeked of presence of death and it seemed to linger in the very air. As Wolfe looked around it was almost as if out of nowhere the shadows came to life as all manner of creature seemed to raise from the ground and from thin air. It seemed the land itself was being consumed by a legion of undead monsters and specter type ghost. They not only seemed to be of hostile and had eyes for Wolfe at the moment and within seconds it they began to swarm upon Wolfe. Wolfe was not going to give in without at least a decent fight and with a roar he dug in deep to a surge of power and dashed at the closest monster he could reach.

The battle was on now as Wolfe dug right into the mess of monsters that surrounded him. Wolfe was kicking, punching and tearing into any and everything his hands could reach as he tore into the very death that surrounded him. However, as he tore down the monsters it almost seemed like they kept coming and seemed to have no end. For every two he ripped apart it seemed at least one new one rose up from nowhere. He was making progress but it seemed not nearly enough for the destruction he was causing to both the enemy and the land scape itself as he was ripping trees and the ground apart tearing these things asunder. The bodies of the undead were scattered among the bodies of the undead that were still trying to rip Wolfe apart, and even more than that there were specters everywhere too and he was having to focus magical energy into his physical attacks to even hit them, and they were even worse than the monsters as they were faster and anytime they got near Wolfe he could feel the presence they gave off and it was unsettling at best. Wolfe was lucky he was immensely faster than all of the monsters specter and undead both so he was able to avoid getting hurt, but as he spent more and more time fighting the legions of them he could feel time being lost and this seemed like a war he was not going to win in the long run. Whatever was causing this wasn’t here and more than that it’s influence had spread across the very land and was now running amuck on it’s own as it had become living evil.

Wolfe knew this was going to have to end soon so he began to give it even more energy as he increased his speed so much it almost seemed like he was making copies of himself as he began a true onslaught. At this point he was just trying to thin out the herd while he figured out where this could be coming from. As some more time passed and more and more undead began to stay that way his mind began to wander for a second and the next thing he knew he saw a flash from his vision while he was sleeping. The little girl, she hadn’t crossed his mind since he saw her in the vision but now that he gave it another thought he remembered that darkness that seemed to surround and shroud her, and as he gave it more time to think about it it made sense. In his vision she seemed like she had been the source of the distortion and everything seemed to stem from his vision of her, as she was the first thing he saw in his vision, even before the death, monsters, and shadows. Also the three of those all seemed separate except when they surrounded her, meaning she must be the source of all of this, or at least she might be a good starting point if nothing else. However, first he needed to find her, and even before that he needed to get out of here and find out more about this place and what had recently been going on here. Wolfe finally getting to the point where he felt any more energy he spent here would be just a waste and he couldn’t make anymore of a positive impact decided it was time to take to take to the sky again and maybe head over to the village he saw in the distance and look into what kind of information he could possible dig up there.

With that thought Wolfe was gone just as quickly as he had appeared in the same blinding flash of light as he shot up into the sky and took off into the distance towards the city. It only took a few moments to reach the city, but Wolfe was not happy at what he saw. This was no better than where he had been only moments before as he saw a legion of the undead standing just outside the gate to the city, but unlike the ones from before they didn’t seem to be too active and were not advancing towards the city. As he took a better look Wolfe noticed a very large man, and from what Wolfe could tell he was a mage and could feel his magical energy so he was at least as powerful as Wolfe was. He didn’t seem to be making a move yet either though, but Wolfe wasn’t sure why and he couldn’t get a good look at him. However, that wasn’t going to stop Wolfe from his current plan and he figured he would make and entrance and shake this up a little. Wolfe found a good spot right in the middle of the legion but a little closer to the gate and in that same flash of light he shot down from the sky, but this time he shifted before he hit the ground as a bolt and used the momentum to crash into the ground with all the force he could and as he did there was a shockwave and a loud CRASH and bodies of undead flew in every direction flying through the air, most of them ripping into pieces as they did. Standing there in the middle of a huge crater was Wolfe with a smirk on his face and lightning surging off his body as he as released a huge surge of power. Wolfe didn’t waste a moment as he picked the direction of the gate and began to tear through the legion of undead shadows and monsters, making sure to rip anything and everything in his path to pieces as he did. Wolfe was slowly turning this place into a war zone as he made his way towards the gate. The undead tried to swarm down upon Wolfe as he tore through them as he punched, kicked, and threw them around sending things flying through the air in every direction as he did.

It took a little bit but he finally managed to break through the legion and into the area near the front by the gate. As he continued to fight off anything and everything he turned to get a better look at the man he had seen before only to be a little shocked by who he saw. Wolfe didn’t know the mage that well but that had met once before at the meeting of the Paragons as this was Hero Yamamoto. Wolfe had to smirk a little as he knew Hero was not a push over or else he would never had been invited to the Paragons by Ardere, so that was good thing ”Well hello there Hero, nice to see you again. I am going to assume you’re here to deal with this issue. If you could fill me in a little that would be great, all I know is these things area everywhere in the land, even stretching out towards the forest in the distance, and as odd as this might seem, I am here because of a vision I had, and in that vision I saw a little girl shrouded in darkness and death itself. So I was hoping you might have some info to maybe fill me.” Wolfe yelled out to Hero as he continued to fight off anything that came near him.

Post by Hero Yamamoto 30th July 2017, 1:51 pm

Mentally, Hero was aware of what was going on around him but only to an extent. However, he had no control of his body and he feared what exactly that meant for anyone who decided to go near him that was not an enemy. Of course he already thought of these things several times before but stress caused him to muddle over stuff he was already aware of. For now, the Undead stayed away from Hero which allowed the village to remain relatively safe while Mashyuu was away. That at least made the giant feel a little bit more relieved. In fact, it was the only thought keeping his body still at this point. Come to think of it there was one other time when he was in a situation like this one... but Yamamoto metaphorically shook his head frantically. That particular memory was not the best one to have in this kind of scenario.

Quite some time passed as this stalemate continued to draw on; Hero's body now looked more like a living statue than a human being considering how stationary he was. In the distance however, he began to hear the sounds of explosions and static abound. As the seconds ticked by, the said sounds grew loud enough to have a visible origin and he could sort of make out what was causing it. It was a well-built male jumping about wreaking havoc on the Undead from behind. Considering that, it most likely was not Mashyuu because the man knew that young mage was not entirely the straightforward type that Yamamoto was, particularly with combat. As this person drew closer, the likeness became more apparent and it was actually quite shocking in general... pun very much intended. How was it that Hero gained allies in the most desperate of times? Elyx, his cousin, who changed his life; Leila who helped him to protect his home village; Jiyu who stood at his side during one of the darkest moments of his adult life; Isaac who taught him the importance of doling out justice swiftly and properly. Was this also one of those such moments? Titan knew Wolfe was speaking to him but he had such difficulty keeping himself under control that it took some time for him to barely utter a few words, which were pained and wavering.

    "Wolfe... help... me... please..."

Post by Wolfe 5th August 2017, 3:31 am

Wolfe, who was up to his neck in the undead, watched as Hero didn’t move or speak. Wolfe wasn’t sure what was going on, but he intended to continue to destroying the undead. He ripped and tore into anything he could get his hands on, making sure to turn and look over at Hero from time to time. After a little but finally Wolfe made it out as Hero spoke one sentence and one sentence alone. He asked Wolfe for help, but Wolfe wasn’t sure exactly how he was supposed to help. However, he would try to the bet of his ability, but only after he could calm down the undead hordes first.

From what he could tell, it seemed like somehow before he had shown up Hero had just been standing there, and the undead had just gathered at the gate and somehow there was a standoff. Wolfe wasn’t sure exactly what he had walked into, but from the moment he had shown up, the undead had every intention on trying to rip him limb from limb. From what Wolfe could guess, he had to assume it had something to do with Hero’s aura. Hero had an aura about him that screamed goodness, and radiated like someone who was clean of heart and soul, a real hero type. Wolfe could tell from his first meeting, along with the stories he had heard of him from some of the people who had met him. Hero was a real hero of the people kind of guy, the kind who stood for right, and justice. Almost the opposite of Wolfe, but not cause Wolfe was evil. No, Wolfe was more chaotic, and if truth be told he lacked a moral compass, and it was Ardere that kept him in check. Maybe that was the reason the undead didn’t attack Hero, but went apeshit for Wolfe.

Wolfe fought off enough of the undead to break away from them until he wasn’t that far from Hero. Luckily, even though he was engaged with the undead and not that far from Hero, the undead still didn’t make a move on him. Wolfe alled out to Hero ”Hero, man. Are you ok? What can I do to help you man? Tell me.” Wolfe wasn’t sure what was wrong with Hero, but the way he spoke, and his words showed he was obviously having a problem. He had asked Wolfe to help him, but that was vague, and from the look of him, Hero seemed physically ok. That coupled with the fct that even if his natural aura was keeping the undead away from him, Wolfe was afraid the undead would follow Wolfe right to Hero if he got too close to him, so he was trying to keep his distance. This was turning out to be an issue, and Wolfe needed to figure something out soon. However, unless something interesting happened very soon, he wasn’t sure how he was going to be able to help Hero and keep the undead at bay at the same time.

Post by Guest 15th August 2017, 6:11 am

Peace village, a village that Summer has surely never been in before. Summer will admit, she found it a bit weird that a message was sent about this… strange thing that has been going on as of late. It sounded desperate, it sounded like whoever sent the message was in major trouble... Summer wasn’t going to let that help go unaided. She had to help them! She may not have the maps to help her get there, but she was sure that if she was to ask for directions and reach there as quick as possible, she was sure to get there!

“Laysha!” Summer exclaimed, still reading the letter she got in the guild while still at the house.

    “Yes, oh wonderful Summer?!”

The fairy gleamed and tingled as she span around her owner, trying to find out at least what was going on. In Laysha’s eyes, Summer looked pretty darn determined, like she wanted to help… she didn’t help for glory or to act hero. She always helped because she absolutely loved to help others, and if she was stuck in a similar situation, she would know that she would like help too.

“There's a village that needs help… I must go to them, I feel like they need help, and desperately. I was going to ask for directions, but you’ve been a fairy that's been out and about everywhere! I ask that you direct me to there so I can help with whatever's been troubling them!”

“Hell yeah Summer! Let’s go help whoever needs it! I can assure you I will help you get there as soon as possible. Do you have a car or anything?? because I will be dashing as quick as I can to get you there!”

Summer nodded as she lead herself and Laysha out of the house, she had just the thing for this! She has a vehicle, albeit, it is a childish one, but it was a vehicle nonetheless. Tapping around her hips for a little while, she came across a little lump, she keeps forgetting that she can carry around her vehicle, it was so useful for when she actually needs it. Taking out the lump that was stuck against her, she threw this very same bump into the air… ta da… a pony!

“S-summer! I have never actually seen you use one of these before! It’s so strangeeeeeeee!” The lewd flower fairy couldn’t contain her giggles, she was shocked and she was amused at the same time, if she didn’t know any better, then she would say that the horse was a stupid idea. The horse was of average size, and it was made of brass, it resembled a real life horse, except it couldn’t move, and it had wheels on the hooves. This was a “Summer” thing to do though. Summer was always the type of girl to have weird things by her side, she wanted a harem of fairies and she had 12 voices stuck in her head, there really shouldn’t be anything to shock Laysha, but there was always something to surprise the flower fairy now and again. The vehicle was just one of the many things that did.

“Do we want to get there as soon as possible?!”

“Yup yup! Hop on and I will direct you on the way!”

Summer bit her lower lip, she was actually quite worried, but hopped on the brass horse she did, riding along as quick as she can to the village that sent the letter. It was quite the distress signal indeed. If something was to happen to the village, then it means that Summer would feel bad if she wasn’t to attend. Mind you, she would feel bad if she were to fail this, damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Looking around her, she made sure that the path was clear before she nodded to her fairy. Laysha then dashed off, that’s when Summer’s horse began to make it’s trek to peace village in all due haste. There was really no time to lose, she does not know the progress of the enemy, nor does she know if they are succeeding or failing, the only way she would even find out, is if she was there when it actually happens.

In front of her, she can see that Laysha was indeed going as fast as her little wings can carry her, Summer’s horse was also doing its job on a reasonable scale, she just hoped that Laysha will get her well deserved rest soon…

It seemed they were almost there, Summer could see a little village indeed, she just had to make sure that everything was going right according to plan. Standing up on the horse while it still kept going, she looked around before sitting down on it again. It seemed like that was the village indeed.

“Not far now, Summer!” Laysha exclaimed “Couple more minutes and we will be there!”

Unfortunately, it seemed to be bad… upon arriving, she seen a figure on the floor, and what appeared to be another man helping him, of course, Summer couldn’t quite tell who they were, she wasn’t close enough to find out who they were, she may be taller than the usual girls at the village she used to reside in before going to Golden Phoenix, but even she was struggling.

Finally, it didn’t take long to get to the village, and to be swarmed by what appeared to be… things. They were all on one side though, edging closer and then halting, she spotted it was Hero, and another man, whom she has NEVER met before… did he hurt Hero?! Nah, that can’t be right! Something definitely was amiss!

“You did good, Laysha, get some rest, sit and stay near my horse, I may need it to run all them buggers down.” She poked out her finger as she pointed at all them strange contraptions. “But for now, sit and rest.”

    “You got it baby!”

Running over to the two after hearing Laysha’s confirmation, Summer’s aura washed around everywhere. In her hand, she carries a big ring blade, her signature weapon, it seemed it was actually needed… her ring blade had healing properties and it was probably needed for this guy.

“Hero!” Summer exclaimed. “Hero! Dude! It’s me, Summer!” Her face looked grim with worry as she looked around. “What the hell happened?!” Summer shook her head as she looked over to Wolfe. Suddenly, 2 figures appeared right behind the zodiac queen, she completely had to look behind her before her mouth dropped wide open…

“GHOOOOOSSSTTTSSSS!!!!” Summer screamed as she stood up quickly. “No! No! I musn’t let my fear get to me! Oh my god oh my god oh my god it’s actual freakin ghosts!”

“Here, I can trust you to take care of him! I will urm…” She shivered as she spoke, what’s worse, there was no time for Summer to take more time, one of them already tried to stab her behind her back with their ghostly tricks. While that might not have been possible for humans to do it, these were ghosts! They could hide and pop out of piano’s and such, walk through walls and they can be everyones nightmare!

Cartwheeling out of the way with her trusty ringblade by her side, Summer’s hands started to spark up, like sparklers on a firework based night, so to speak. She hoped this would help the fireworks expert to get at what they deserved! She had no time to even be scared! Closing her eyes, she began to retain her focus and started to float, like the great dragon from the Chinese zodiac.

“I’m so scared…” Summer shivered as she spoke quietly to herself, dropping her ring blade with such speed, the ring blade circled around itself before it stopped itself altogether. That was when the zodiac started to speak to her… in her head again, she knew fine well this one belonged to the dragon, his age most certainly spoke.

“Do not fear, your highness.” It spoke “Fight your fear… Don’t let fear consume you, keep your friends safe and yourself safer, if you let it consume you now, you won’t be able to complete your purpose, and we will lose a queen.”

Despite the shivers that Summer is still experiencing, her hands were still sparking wide, her hair turned red for a second, so did her whole attire for that matter, before rushing to the enemy and absolutely pummeling them out of complete fear, they tried to stab her countless times, but they only managed to get her twice, which was protected somewhat by the fact that spirits started to take some of the attacks for her.

It didn’t take long until one was down, thanks to how many times Summer was just throwing them punches. Now for the second one, Summer didn’t know what to do, she was mainly an unguided young woman, one who hardly follows anyone's orders, she has indeed become quite the rebel these days. Not that it matters now…

    She stopped shivering…

Instead, she dashed straight for the poor ghostie and pummeled him too, her speed was indeed much faster while she was floating, it’s just a shame she has to sacrifice all her flexible exploits until it’s at least done.

It didn’t take long for the both of them to pretty much be down and out, Summer had already done her share and she already wanted to stop this madness, especially if ghosts were involved.

“You have done well… your highness…”

The dragon’s voice started to slowly fade away, as if the voice was being sucked into a loophole. Out of all the zodiac, the dragon was most certainly the quietest one, if he did have anything to say, it was important. The dragon was another one of the few voices that the young Guiyang could also tolerate. If it was the rooster that would speak, she would be punching walls instead, not the creatures that she feared so much.

“There…” She whispered as she stopped floating, her feet slowly landing onto the floor once more. “I thought I would be a goner!” She stopped shivering, quickly replacing them with giggles. Turning over to her friend Hero, and the man once more, she was confused, she didn’t know what to do, what if her weapon didn’t well and truly heal him… welp, there was only one way to find out.

Picking up her weapon, she walked over whilst she was tapping the centre jewel of the weapon. From the blueish green that it was already, it slowly turned into a shade of red, the colour of blood itself. “Hold still, Hero!” Summer bit her lower lip as she slashed Hero. The ability instantly got to work, healing Hero. Although it may be of little help, she was sure that it would help the baldie to get up and act like his normal self once more. There really wasn’t anything else that the fireworks expert could do exactly.

“Don’t be alarmed.” Summer said calmly, trying to keep her excitement off the lines, she was always excited and positive, but it would be rather inappropriate if she was to be excited at that moment. “The ability I just used can heal others, so it will heal him too.” Summer then smiled softly at the stranger. “My name is Summer, I came to help! But it seems that I came rather late, haha… I mean, I am glad I came when I did! I had my fairy guide me and everything! Oh wait… not the right time to explain. Of course.”

Post by Hero Yamamoto 21st August 2017, 11:29 am

As much as he wanted to respond to Wolfe's question, the giant was incapable of anything at the moment for fear of going out of control. The last thing Hero wanted to do was physically harm his newest ally even if it was not intentional. However, it only grew more difficult to contain himself as time passed onward. How was he supposed to get through this? There had to be some kind of answer within the conversations he held with his mother and that other person. What did any of that even mean? Being completely honest with himself, Yamamoto did not have even an inkling as to what that person meant by being "the Last" or by being the descendant of a long line of heroes. Really, it was difficult to grasp because the giant was already long set in the ways of a regular civilian before turning to this new life as a "Mage". This concept of being holden to some greater fate or destiny was far beyond his scope of beliefs currently. Was that really the right way to go about this though? At this point, it would have likely been easier to simply try to accept it for now and find answers later. If that was the answer to getting out of this predicament, then that had to be his focus. Then again, it was always easier said than done to change part of oneself over the course of minutes.

While all those thoughts were roaming about in the adult's mind, more sounds of destruction in the distance steadily moved closer. A new person? An enemy? No... that scent. Gunpowder. Hero only knew of one person whom smelled like gunpowder this potent: Summer Guiyang. What in the fiery Hell was she doing out here? She may have become Golden Phoenix's Guild Master alongside Astrid Foss but she was still young and this was a particularly dangerous situation. Now definitely the last thing he needed was to hurt his student. It was far more urgent now than ever to come to terms with what he was told in that dream-like place even if he did not really understand what it all meant. Several moments passed before Summer finally reached the large gate where both Wolfe and Hero were plotted. The giant then apparently blacked out for a couple of minutes and when he came to, Summer was explaining something about trying to heal him. The problem with that was... well... he was not feeling any better. In fact, he felt as though his body was going to be driven insane. It was like being seated in a roller coaster that could not be stopped. The giant of a man stood tall from the ground and a blackness began oozing from his body... the sort of blackness that sent shivers up the spines of the most seasoned mages. Hero knew this feeling. It was a long time ago, when he fought those demons in that fissure. There was one demon in particular who was beyond frightening.

    "Run..."

Yamamoto's voice was deep and ragged when he spoke that single word. It was a plea from deep within himself that he could just barely force out. The ground beneath his feet began to tremble at the frightening darkness that overwhelmed him; even the Undead all started to walk backward. Titan wanted so desperately to tell his allies to run, but he could not. All he could do right now was to find a way to break through this. To come to terms with what he was told.

Post by Wolfe 6th September 2017, 10:03 pm

Wolfe wasn’t too sure what to make of the whole scene as he continued to lay waste to the legions of the undead. It seemed something was wrong with Hero and he was unable to really speak or interact in any way. Not only that but he wasn’t moving, almost like a tall statue or something. Wolfe didn’t like what he saw as it was obvious something was very wrong with Hero, but he was shoulders deep into the legion of the undead. As he looked around all he could see was a sea of them everywhere.

Wolfe figured and hoped that maybe Hero would snap out of it soon and help. Wolfe’ body continued to spark black lightning off of it as he shifted back and forth ripping the tearing everything up in his path. He wasn’t sure if he was making any real dent in the legion of undead, but he hoped he was. He still didn’t see the darkness from his dreams, and that wasn’t good sign. Sooner rather than later he was going to need to find the source of all of this darkness and take care of it. However, in the meantime he would just need to try and wade down the army of undead around him.

As Wolfe attacked and dodged through the undead he felt a new power coming towards himself and Hero’s direction. From what Wolfe could tell he was pretty sure it was another mage, or at least a magical creature of some sort. Either way he honestly was hoping they were here to help cause he wasn’t sure he could deal with even more crap with Hero being useless due to whatever was effecting him. Shortly after he felt the magical presence he saw figures come from the distance and make their way over towards Hero. Wolfe began to shift his way towards the edge of the legion, and closer towards Hero to get a better look at who showed up.

By the time he was close enough to see who was there, it seemed one of the figures was making their away from Hero and some woman who was standing near him. He saw as she was using some weird weapon to use magic on Hero. Wolfe would have intervened but he sensed no murderous intent from this woman, plus she had plenty of an opportunity to attack Hero if she had wanted to. Wolfe bided his time for a moment and let her finish whatever she was doing as he continued to tear through the undead. Shortly after she was done she turned in Wolfe’s direction and became to call out to him explaining that she was trying to heal him and her name was Summer. From what he could gather it almost seemed like she was familiar with Hero. However, Wolfe then realized two things as it seemed that her magic wasn’t actually helping Hero, and on that note he felt a shift from Hero. This shift was not good though as he felt a fairly sudden surge of murderous intent from Hero, and it was rising by the second. Then he spoke, but only one word “Run” and Wolfe knew shit had just done south.

Wolfe realized Hero’s sudden shift was about to become a serious problem as he yelled out at Summer ”SUMMER! GET AWAY FROM HERO!! SOMETHING IS WRONG! RUN!” With that Wolfe began to focus all his energy as he began to surge his power outward and even more black lightning began to erupt from him. He was making sure that his power surge was all Hero could feel so he might focus on him and not this new woman. Wolfe could tell that Hero’s sudden shift was about to erupt in some form, and he was hoping if he went into rage mode or something that he might be able to shift Hero’s focus to him and kite him around.

Something really didn’t feel right, if Summer was going to be honest. She tried to heal her fellow guild friend, but it didn’t seem to work. In fact, it seemed that Hero got even worse, he stood up and his eyes just spewed out fear. If Summer was going to be honest… she was kind of scared. Scared that something has happened to Hero, Summer felt that she would fail as a guild master if she didn’t do something. Yet at the same time, she knew that her attempts would probably fail, of all the tactics in her head, she could only really think of one thing, and even then, the stranger might push her aside.

It seemed that there was no other way, even the stranger was telling her to run, but there was no way she was going to run now. However, it seemed that he had this under control. While the demons did seem to be backing away from the trio, some were still going towards them. A demon in particular.

“You can help Hero, but as a guild master of his guild, I ain’t backing down!” Summer’s recklessness was clearly apparent now. Not that the female actually minded, she just wanted to stop the monsters from hurting Hero. She also knew that it would pretty much help the village. “Is there anything I need to know?!” Summer queried to the silver haired male, exclaiming, as she dashed towards the demon, keeping an eye on his claws for hands, it looked pretty dangerous, if Summer was going to be honest. Maybe it was a time to get her claws out.

“We’re lucky they aren’t actually in peace village yet…” Summer mumbled to herself. “Just imagine the carnage that would happen if they were in peace village… no matter…” Summer finished mumbling to herself as she brought out her own set of claws. Placing her hands in the air, a set of extremely long claws emanated from her hands. This firework mage was not going to play around today, queen or no queen, she will protect peace village as if it was her zodiac realm. She had her sparx spell on as well, meaning that if the demon did come close to the young lady then she can simply punch his face till they went bye bye, or at least until they decided to back off from the fireworks expert.

The demon tried their hardest to defeat Summer, and so the battle began. He charged at her at the same time she charged at him, but he had the advantage of the first swipe. Summer however, wasn’t going to let him have all the glory, she simply dodged by sliding underneath his legs, then slashing the back of his legs, burning both of his legs with such precision. She then punched the back of his kneecaps which sent him on all fours.

“You didn’t see that coming did you? Sucker.” Summer, in battle, was known as a taunter if she ever wanted to be one. Provoking the enemies to come to her, dodge them, learn their movements while at it and then go straight into tactics. She was a pure taunter, and she didn’t mind that. She knew what she was doing as a hybrid mage, one that focuses on range and melee, kicking and busting it all over the place while having a good time. Except this time wasn’t a good time at all, it was a time to panic and to keep her cool.

Standing up once more, she lifted her leg high in the air before forcing it down on the demon’s forehead, a little explosion radiating from the collision of her foot and the males head. She just had to focus on this monster now, and hope that the mysterious stranger focuses on Hero, she would be damned if Hero started to hurt both him and the stranger, Summer had to trust in a stranger, which is something she normally does on a daily basis.

Watching the demon stand up, the female looked around her and did a few backflips, just to get some space between her and the demon, before charging at the demon once more to give him yet another few swipes. She was not going to go down here and now, in fact, she was going to keep herself standing. With another couple of backflips to gain some distance, the demon grinned as he walked towards the girl, then charging at her to give her a few swipes of his own. Summer was having none of it however and then span to the side, stabbing and slicing his side quite a few times.

While the pain was starting to affect the demon, he still wasn’t down and out, Summer wanted to make sure she could take care of that. Getting herself ready, she performed a somersault to get behind the demon and then began to slash him constantly. It was the same tactic over and over. She even managed to pick up some dirt and threw it on the demon’s face, blinding his movements and suffering badly for the tactic Summer caused. He couldn’t even sort out his eyes because he had claws for hands.

“I bet you didn’t think that was coming!” Summer exclaimed as she then charged at the demon one more time, dealing one final slash before Summer finished her fighting by kneeling on the floor, having one of her arms close to her face with her other arm well away from the rest of her body.

The demon was down and out, and Summer couldn’t help but breathe heavily. Her sparx on her hands were finished, but her sparked claws were still raging. They represented the anger that Summer could probably never achieve. Summer was hardly angry, she was mostly a cheerful girl who knew that she was still slightly caught in the past, one that was slowly letting go. She also knew that she had lots of things in store for her in the future…

Getting Hero back to normal was for the present time. One that Summer could successfully get back to now that the demon was down and out. She glanced over to Hero in worry… just to see how they were doing… Were they back to normal yet?? Was their eyes still radiating fear. Did Summer still have every right to be scared?? She wasn’t so sure as of right now...

This feeling finally overtook the giant and changed his entire appearance. A large, black flame engulfed him and a beam shot up into the sky from his position. Waves of pure force radiated throughout the surrounding area, pushing everything around Titan backward. Seconds ticked on by, and as it finally began to settle, bloody red eyes peered through the flames; this was no longer Hero. It was something else entirely. His fellow mages were in grave danger and there was nothing Yamamoto could do about it aside from fighting internally with himself.

[ENTER] Event-statused, ?-rank Boss: Possessed Hero

"Too bad. I'm afraid Hero's unable to answer either of you at the moment. But I'll have fun for both of us, heheheh."

This new voice was laced thickly with murderous intent. The body was now upright, clad in jet black clothing. His laugh was cold and sharp, much like a blade that had seen an abundance of corpses. The body was fresh, healed from previously earned damage. The real Hero was trapped within his mind, battling it out with insecurities regarding the things he learned from that man in his dream. Even though Titan knew to accept them as true, that was not nearly enough to stop this change from happening. He needed to accept it thoroughly. At the very least, he was on the right track. After all, what was going on in the current moment... that was very real.

"You're saying I should leave the girl alone, boy? Hmm... I'll give you a test run. Lets see how you taste first."

The demon licked his lips and then grinned widely before taking a stance. Unlike Hero, this being bore no sympathy or restraint. He was going to push and push and push until neither of them could breathe, unless the giant within could break free. Come on, Hero. I'm giving myself enough of a handicap standing here talking. I suggest you hurry if you want them to live. Yamamoto gritted his metaphorical teeth and responded with this: You will regret messing with my comrades... I swear it. The demon then chuckled once and nodded his head before leaping at Wolfe who was ready to move at a moment's notice. This was going to be difficult to say the least, and at the same time they needed to find and save that girl. Could they do it? Everything at this point was 100% unclear.

Post by Wolfe 17th October 2017, 10:33 am

Wolfe watched as Summer tried to heal Hero to no avail. She seemed very determined, but that alone wasn’t going to be enough to help him at this point. Wolfe didn’t know personally what was wrong with Hero, but he could tell from the shift in his nature, aura, and magical presence that he was shifting into something dark. From the little he knew about Hero he was someone who valued justice and was devoted to doing what was right and good, so whatever this was that was overcoming him was some kind of very deep darkness, or foreign in nature. Either way, this was bad as he could tell Hero was around his strength and that meant he could do some real damage if this darkness was let loose. Wolfe only knew that whatever was overcoming him was getting stronger and at this rate he would become something of an issue very quickly.
Wolfe yelled out to Summer as he danced around the undead hordes ”I don’t think I have any better of an idea of what is wrong with Hero than you do. However, despite your desire to help your guild mate, you need to get away from him NOW! I am not sure what it is, but something dark is coming over him and if it wins out, he very well may not be able to control himself and attack us.” Just as he said these very words he felt the shift in Hero as the darkness began to swallow him completely. Wolfe wasn’t sure what was going to come next, but he had a feeling it was not going to be pretty either way. Wolfe phase shifted back away from where he was to put even more distance between himself and Hero. As he did, he reached out and grabbed an undead monster and drove it into another monster destroying both of them. Wolfe needed to make sure that when Hero shifted he focused his attention to Wolfe and not Summer. If he could do that, then he could make sure if Hero attacked him, he would most likely cause collateral damage, so he could place himself in groups of the undead to take out two birds with one stone.

It wasn’t but a few seconds later that Hero was completely overtaken and his presence shifted. His body became engulfed with black flame, and a beam shot into the sky. Wolfe saw his eyes turn red and he began to speak but it wasn’t Hero’s voice that came out. It was something much different, and much darker. He spoke to Wolfe, so it looked like he had managed to completely his goal and get his attention. Now all Wolfe had to do was keep Hero focused on him while they found a way to both take out the undead hordes and whatever was leading them, and find a way to cure Hero of whatever was affecting him.

At that moment when Wolfe was thinking over all the ideas that could work the newly transformed Hero made his move and went on the attack at Wolfe. Wolfe had just landed in a group of the undead monsters and just as Hero descended upon Wolfe he phase shifted out of the way and Hero’s attack hit the ground where Wolfe had just been, but wake of the attack destroyed all the undead monsters near him. Wolfe was going to have to keep on his toes and make sure not to lose sight of Hero as all.
