Ryan continued to try and stand, feeling useless and like a burden to his comrades who were fighting. Slowly but surely, he rose unsteadily to his feet though still had no feeling in his arms.
Having successfully snared the hostages in place with fear, the Dark mage had nothing more to worry about except the unwanted pests. "I've had quiet enough of this." the Dark mage still on the stage exclaimed in an eloquent manner. He held up his right arm, and conjured up another creature, chanting "Sovereignty being of havoc and dismay, always thirsty for the blood of prey. Come forth and serve me well, entity of Kikyomonji." Out came forth from a large magic circle above the dark mage's head, was an alien looking being. It appeared to look like a naga, slithering on it's body and large tail. But it's hands were replaced by large serrated curved downward blades, the tip of it's tail also displayed a fan of razor sharp knives. Yet it's face had no eyes or nose, only a mouth filled with dagger like teeth. It's skin was pitch black, and it's tongue wavered from its mouth nonstop. It stood in front of its master, non-moving without the command. The dark mage spied the injured Ryan out of the corner of his eye, knowing that the mages came to his assistance before. "Go!" He ordered, holding out his hand towards Ryan.
The beast glided through the theater as a fish through water, reaching Ryan within seconds. "W-What!?" Ryan called out, seeing the beast suddenly in front of him. The beast slashed at Ryan with it's two bladed arms, once down and the other horizontally. Ryan managed to jump backwards out of the way from the two slashes; avoiding any contact. He jumped back a third time to get some distance, when the beast glided up to him and slashed at his abdomen with both of it's blades at once. Ryan managed to force his arms to work, and blocked what would have been a fatal blow, taking the gashes within his forearms. Seeing his beast having injured Ryan, the dark mage jumped to the balcony row, before leaping towards Ryan holding out his hand with a magic circle forming. "Obey my command." He ordered, in a ghastly voice unlike his eloquent one before. A pink mist shot forth from the circle and quickly consumed Ryan and the dark mage in a cloud. As the smoke cleared, Ryan's head was facing down; his arms dangling and yet standing with the mage behind him. "Can you fight your fellow ally?" the mage teased, his voice back to his eloquent one as before. Looking at his partner, the maged noticed him doing so shabby. "Tsk. Tsk. Ripper, you really should stop playing with your toys. You look like you are in need of some assistance." The mage mocked his own partner. "It's time to start getting serious, we can't afford to keep playing with these miscreants any longer." Now controlling Ryan, the Dark mage stood behind his summoned beast, as Ryan stood in front of both; raising his hands and turning them into sledge hammers facing his former partners.
Meanwhile, Aian was forced up against the wall unable to push back the torrent of water rushing out from the Dark Mage. "Oh, ready to give up? I thought you would have been some more fun Darling? Don't worry, I will make you drown inside me." She cooed, forcing her entire upper body to turn into a raging spout of water. Aian's shield broke under the strain of the water, as his body was pinned against the wall. Aian tried to fight back, but couldn't move an inch. He was always afraid of water, afraid of drowning. Now he was pinned up against a wall unable to breathe as a never ending flood of water forced him in place. Aian's mind began to haze out, flashing back to a moment he had with his master back in the Canyon:
"GET UP!" the dragon roared, watching his student fail at being able to hold up his foot alone. Aian tried as hard as he might, but couldn't even budge under his master's weight. All he could feel was the pressure of the gigantic dragon's paw pushing down on him with the weight of what felt like an entire mountain. "IF YOU CAN'T EVEN ENDURE SUCH WEAK PRESSURE LIKE THIS, YOU'LL BE CRUSHED! GET UP!" the dragon roared once more, not relenting on moving its foot from on top of his pupil, carrying less if he got crushed or not when he wasn't even trying. Aian continued to struggle in an attempt to appease his master's demand. Slowly but surely, his time lifting up boulders five times his own height finally paid off, as he was able to push back his master's resting paw. Once able to at least stand instead of hunched over against the ground, the dragon removed his paw from his student's body. Aian collapsed immediately, his body aching all over from the strain. "YOU'RE PATHETIC WELP! HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO LIVE IF YOU CAN'T EVEN MANAGE SUCH A SIMPLE TASK!? THE CREATURES YOU ARE GOING TO BE FACING TOMORROW WILL NOT HOLD BACK TO CRUSH YOU!" The Dragon roared once more, unsatisfied with the results of this practice run for Aian. As a response, Aian could only attempt to stand once more for his master. Shaking his head, the giant tortoise shaped metal dragon simply began to march away from his pupil, leaving him to rest upon the canyon floor. "Worthless Welp." He spoke as he walked away.
The Dark mage's head rose out of the water, laughing. "You're master must have been pathetic if this is the best he could do." She mocked as she slowly watched Aian drown in her flooding water. A spark ignited in Aian as he heard the insult to his master's good name. Using every ounce of energy, he pushed his way off of the wall, and coated his body in a flexible iron coating. "Oh? Still have some fight in you?" Using the last of the air in his lungs, Aian began to chant in the water. "Tetsuryu no....Hoko!!!!" Releasing a small tornado from his mouth, Aian pushed back the water by a couple of feet, but was unable to hit the mage. She simply laughed as she watched him struggle against her attack. "Is that the best you can do? The mighty roar of a Dragon Slayer being this pathetically weak? I take it back your master wasn't pathetic. But an Absolute FAILURE" This only angered Aian more, pushing him to his limits. Taking a deep breath through his nostrils, he expanded his chest out to it's maximum. "Tetsuryū no..."He began chanting once more, as more air filled his lungs. "What?" The dark mage questioned, watching as the slayer chanted the same spell over again. This time, as Aian shouted out the end of the chant, the tornado drastically grew in size as a loud roar echoed through not only the basement but the entire theater above, "Hōkō!!!"The tornado filled entirely by metal sharpnel forced the water away with ease, tearing through it like a drill. However, out of control, it swerved down to the ground before reaching the mage but striking at her feet. This however revealed a magic circle underneath her which quickly became destroyed as the ground under her was torn away by the force. "WHAT!" The Dark mage cried out as her body solidified without the magic circle's assistance. Still continuing the unstable spell, the tornado swerved quickly upward striking the mage on her stomach. Unable to turn into water to avoid the attack, she was forced into the air, and carried by the tornado, her body being torn to bits by the shrapnel. The tornado carried the mage up into the roof of the basement, drilling through the concrete like it was nothing and slamming the mage's body against it. This began to shake the entire upper level of the theater to accompany the still on going roar that echoed throughout the main hall. Turning once again, the tornado flew down towards the ground again, and slammed the mage's body once more into the hard concrete. Turning one final time,it carried the mage to the other end of the hall, and slammed her into the wall next to the stairs before exploding into a gale around her. Unable to maintain the tornado any longer Aian fell to his knees exhausted, causing the tornado to evaporate and the roar to cease. No longer within the killer tornado of wind and metal, the Dark mage laid against the wall, her clothing torn apart and countless cuts of different scales-though none life threatening- covered her body. In an attempt to move, her arms twitched as her legs remained unresponsive. "H-h-how?" she stuttered, before passing out against the wall, unable to remain conscious from the damage she had taken.
Exhausted, AIan rose to his feet, and looked wearily at the mage all the way down the basement hallway. "N-never....Insult...M-my....M-m-Master....." He sat against the wall behind him, taking his time to recover some of his strength before attempting to join his team mates up above. Aian laid there, trying to regain his strength, and began to think of what had just happened. I never did a roar like that before.......something in me snapped, I hardly remember even doing it....I remember it not being strong enough before....and then this happens.....Did.....Did I lose control? Did....Did I give in to my magic, letting it control me? Aian was unsure of how the roar had been able to move on its own, or how he was able to use it again. The only conclusion he could come up with; was that his anger lit a fuse somewhere that tapped into his magic's real potential and power....though still being at an advanced level he was unable to keep it steady, and that is why it rampaged through the basement on its own.
