Post by Jiyu Kazehime 29th August 2016, 5:04 pm

There was talk about ceremonies being conducted for celebrating the perfect moon all over the place! Even casually working at the cafe? She had been unable to escape from whispers of it, and she doubted a mission would result in silence about this event either. Honestly, normally she liked a good festival and did not mind if it was romantically inclined, but that was under normal conditions. Jiyu’s current conditions? Were a bit abnormal, considering she had recently become a half demon after thinking she was human. However that was not the largest blunt of her problem, she had been having issue’s with her emotional state again, thanks to events that had transpired during the last three festivals she went to, all three taking place in separate countries. It had all started in Midi at their flower viewing thing, she had run into Leila who had promptly almost kissed her to get cotton candy off her face. Normally she could let something like that float away, it was an affectionate gesture after all, but as the other mage had leaned in with the scent of booze on her, it had all morphed until; She saw something besides an almost kiss, and it was a much taller man looming over her with his hands possessively on her shoulder’s, golden eyes piercing her soul. After that, during the flight to the next country, the fantasy had developed and birthed into something else, now she doubted she’d even be able to look straight at Marschal without seeing those images! Trouble did not end there though, the trip had not been roses and sunshine between herself and Leila. In Seven things had been plain awkward as they came out of drunken and sensory overloaded dazes, respectively. While they had enjoyed the race and other festival in the next country they’d visited? It just had never faded, because the whole time Jiyu had been hiding her very state of existence from leila not wanting the other girl to know she was a half demon. It seemed? She was most frightened of those close to her finding out, since she had avoided Marschal for some time to avoid finding out if the panther would now dislike her for being a dog. Now that such an issue was resolved between her and him? She would hide from him to keep these impure and lusty thoughts secret, considering she hopped they were only in passing. Jiyu had been attached to him sure, but this was something different than what she’d been thinking of before. In the past? She’d only wanted to be by his side, close to him and there. Now, this new part of her seemed to want more, and it was sparked from someone else's actions. If he had been the one to actually lick her? That would be different, but since he wasn’t, she couldn’t let these thoughts continue. Still she saw him holding her close in a grip so possessive she didn’t want to escape and crushing her mouth against his, and the feelings those fantasies brought!

Jiyu was not at all happy with her mind right now, so she had spent the day searching for anything to fix the issue. In the end? Kazehime found a letter from the council, addressed to her, informing of and asking for her help with, some sort of werewolf problem that would arise. Figuring fighting was better than hopelessly diving into desires that would in her opinion never bloom, she accepted and went to prepare. Without much wasted time? She had her skimpy normal daily wear bikini top and daisy dukes on her body, weapons and such grabbed, bare feet taking her to the door. The only difference between how Jiyu went on missions and how others did? Might be her mode of transport to the mission location, for she simply threw down a feather, shouting it’s title and then hopped on once it had expanded to full ridable size. Honestly why pay for transportation when you had mythical transport all your own that was free! Also she generally enjoyed flying the most, and was only really using the feather to preserve strength, since she could fly on her own as well.

Not much time later the wind witch landed in the cursed village, drawing a few eyes as she traveled to the location where she was suppose to meet the other hired mage for this job, but nothing much else really happened. “Hopefully they don’t end up late.” she didn’t want to end up fighting tons of crazed werewolves alone, no matter how fun that sounded. Or did she want to fight them alone? Hm that was always a legit question, so she let herself ponder it, because what better did she have to do besides play with the hem of her daisy dukes.

    Job Details:

Grey cargo pants covered legs kicked around on a tall king sized bed. In his hand was a note asking for help with some festival and Werewolves. It was always some strange thing with the magic council wasn't it? Mashyuu's face twisted in annoyance. He couldn't possibly be a Werewolf Dual Dragon Slayer could he? maybe he should have let one of those monsters bite him. Were they even real? Mashyuu supposed it didn't matter, he had a job to do and it was paying well. The Slayer slipped on his black leather boots and felt their magic make him move faster. Then his mothers grey leather jacket with the right sleeve missing, it's electrical magic coursing through him. He licked his dry lips and placed his fingerless black and red leather gloves on his arms and jumped out his bedroom window.

Brown hair flapped in the wind, splitting his jacket and revealing his red tee shirt. Free falling from the Sabertooth castle in the sky Mashyuu closed his eyes and felt two claws grasp his shoulders and throw him onto the back of Hoseki, Mashyuu's Gem Dragon Partner. Mashyuu patted his Dragon War Hammer on Hoseki's side then pointed to a far off village to show his friend where to go. The Dragon extended his body and spiraled through the air, soaring at near super sonic speeds to a dark village to meet a Wizard from a different guild. Mashyuu was confused, how on earth did the Magic Council figure out how the guilds were paired up on jobs. After this he was going to for sure not accept jobs where the council put Wizards in teams randomly.

The Dragon set down just outside of the village and Mashyuu slipped off of Hoseki's back. "Okay buddy, why don't you take a pass around the village up high and see if you can get a head count or a feel for how big the village is. I'm gonna go meet our new friend." Mashyuu hoisted his hammer up and slung it over his left shoulder and headed into town, leaving Hoseki to take off into the sky....

Mashyuu stepped into the village and took a whiff of the air. It was faint but one person had a scent that wasn't like the others, he could follow it and find the woman. He brushed his brown hair with his right hand and let his hair fall like a mop on his head. Deeper in the village Mashyuu spotted a woman with dark hair and in short jean shorts seemingly off in her own world. "HEY! I'm Mashyuu, are you the Guild Member from Black Rose?" He called out and walked around the woman, looking her up and down. "How long have you been waiting on me? This is the first time I haven't been the first to arrive on a job."

Being in the werewolf village was weird, since it was filled with normal human looking people and transformed beasts, that were completely sane. For someone who had recently become half dog demoness, and always feared losing herself to the demon and losing people to her transformation? Watching somewhere where such things were accept like this, was amazing! Kazehime let her eyes trace all the children playing together, some of them in wolf form and some of them not, acting as if both states were equally normal. Something like this was a blessing to see, and she knew not many people could view the village from inside this easily, she had been sent here by the council otherwise she wouldn’t have even found this place. However, standing in the town center, she promised to come back and visit often, because for once she was not the odd sight out, her tail and elfin ears raised no questions, nor any weird looks! Sure in Black Rose she was not treated like any less because of those traits, but the rest of Rose Garden as human and she got stared at like the other demons undoubtedly did, whenever she went out; Most of the stares thought were because she dressed like a whore, was a rising star and an ace, not that Jiyu realized that past her insecurity about her life state. This village was not all human to begin with, and thus anyone or anything that was not human which happened to come through, was not given a second glance. Maybe she could buy a house here? The wind user did not want to be too far away from her Guild, but for those times she took a break from wizard work and just became a person for a week or so, oh damn, this place could be perfectly to spend those time here! Kazehime bet she could walk around with Makoto, treat the kitsune like her daughter, and no one would even think twice about it, the thought bringing a happy little flush across the bridge of nose. When she got back, she might tell the other animal trait blessed member’s or her guild about this place. After spending so long being looked at? To have no one even second glance you, was an amazing feeling. Of course she still got scowled at by any prudes or conservative sort people who walked in front of her and found she was dressed so minimally, but that had happened since she started dressing like this years ago, so it no longer bothered her at all.

She had indeed been off in her own world, when the voice of someone shouting drew her out, and she caught someone giving their name. Quickly enough? The pieces of the puzzle clicked together in her head and Jiyu realized this man was the other wizard, form Sabertooth, mentioned in the letter she’d received. Glancing at him in a once over, she quickly assessed him visually, which was rather unimportant since it made her hate him, as he was far taller than her, a full foot at least. Realizing that once again, she was one of the shortest wizards around? She glared at him, taking out her anger on anyone besides herself, curse him for being so tall. Secondly she noted his hair was just as wild as her slightly past waist long locks. Oh yeah! He likely couldn’t see anything besides her odd colored eyes and elfin ears from his position, especially since her tail was resting against her other hip currently. Realizing this? She pushed off the wall and stepped away from it, turning to face him. Now that she was not slouching? Her shorts rode up a little bit more, becoming dangerously short, being tugged down slightly by her bow and hand fan tucked into belt loops. Jiyu let one hand rest against her hip, to draw attention to her guild mark “Yeah I’m from black rose.” not that it needed stated considering her entire stomach was covered in the guilds mark, and it looked like the stem even dipped into her jeans. If she wasn’t from Black Rose there was a problem! Anyway’s the female took the time to play with the orange tips on her bangs, matching tips on the ends of her hair, tucking it behind her elfin ear as her tail flicked around somewhat. “Dunno, I head out the second I get information on something interesting, so I coulda been here a while.” she honestly did not like waiting, but this time, since she needed this distraction, she would say nothing really suggesting she was ticked over the time. “Anyway you intend on killing time until the sun sets? Because I wanted to talk to the town elders who were alive the last time this happened. Coming?” the elder’s would give her valuable information on how she could take care of this. The less she actually had to fight the werewolves? The better, since they seemed so nice right now, and plus she was a canine as well, she didn’t trust herself not to get territorial or something,  not to challenge them, if she got too involved in fighting. For this mission, she had to avoid consuming blood, even thought it would make her stronger. “After that we should talk to each other about our magic to make an attack plan to reduce us taking damage. The more prepared we are, the less chance we’ll hit when everyone goes rabid.” if he didn’t object to anything, than it would be all good!

Of course she never considered the fact her last article of clothing could be distracting for someone. Instead of any sensible top made in the world? This woman donned a bikini style top, lace trim around it, and it was barely enough to hold her cleavage that was sliced in half by her quiver. Clearly, this woman was used to walking around almost naked. Not that it mattered much.

    Notes:

Mashyuu looked the woman up and down as she pushed off the wall she was leaning on, his blue eyes took in her and absorbed every detail, her scent, appealing features and the strange ones but he kept all of that to himself so that he didn't offend the woman. Instead he listened to her every word carefully. Slowly he nodded up and down and cleared his throat. His hands smoothed out his jacket and rested at his sides. "Well... Can we start with your name or should I call you Hottie for the entire job? Because I have no problem with doing that." Mashyuu said while he flashed her a toothy smile. He thought for a moment while absently staring at the bare mid drift of her flesh where her guild tattoo was and licked his dry lips before looking at her amazing eyes. Sometimes Mashyuu considered it a shame he was off the market because there wasn't an ugly Wizard among the women in the Wizard Community. "... Sure, lets go find those elders. My dragon friend is up high, circling the village and getting a general head count of the how many we are dealing with. Do you know where these guys are staying? Maybe a court house type of area or something like that?" The Earth Wizard asked and nodded his head to signal he was going to start walking through town.

While walking through the old style village Mashyuu couldn't help but notice that some of the Werewolves were out and about in public. How do they transform without the moon on them? Mashyuu wondered. In response the gold dragon ring on his finger he was awarded for keeping the Wizard Saint's vault responded. Ux the Dragon spirit mentally spoke to the Wizard. Often times, when a Werewolf realizes it has transformed it can master itself and tame the beast within, able to maintain their minds while their body changes. Mashyuu considered this and figured that the ones walking about weren't going to attack anyone in the village once the moon came up. It wasn't until the ring once again spoke to him that Mashyuu looked back at the hottie at his side. "By the way, I'm an Earth and Iron Dragon Slayer. Defense is my bread and butter as is brawling. But I have a few extra tricks up my sleeve. If that helps you out at all?" Mashyuu offered the woman while they came to a large brick house that stood some three stories tall a large wooden door stood tall on the inside of the walls some foot or so back to provide shade to anyone entering the town centers largest building.

"Well, here we go... I have some questions to ask but I'll follow your lead." Mashyuu knew where his strengths lied and where they fell. He was a defender, a guardian and a soldier before he was an investigator but with the help of Ux and Hoseki Mashyuu had slowly started to grow into a very well rounded Wizard in the world. The Earthen Slayer opened the door for the woman with him and gestured for her to enter first. Inside the building, the floor was made of a thick marble, clearly built to last, the walls made of red brick and lined with a beautiful boarder of carved wood at the base of the walls. The brown haired Wizard gazed up at the roof of the building and he swallowed hard. "Color me impressed." Mashyuu quipped. A young woman stood behind a tall desk with a book in front of her. Her blonde locks pulled back in a pony tail and a smile on her face, spoke happily. "Welcome, how may I help you today?" She asked and Mashyuu winked at the blonde. "Hi, we were asked by the magic council to visit today and speak to the elders about your festival. Can they pencil us in soon?" The woman checked over her book and nodded her head then gestured to a long row of seats. "I think we can work something out. Have a seat and I'll go speak to the elders. In a few moments I'll be back." She stated kindly and headed down a long hall. Mashyuu shrugged his shoulders and flopped down in a plush leather chair and placed his hands behind his head. "This is the nicest I've been treated on a job in a long time. Not a single person trying to hit me with a spell." Contently Mashyuu patted the seat next to him smiled kindly. "Have a seat, tell me about yourself. I like to know who I'm working with when time permits. It's how I met my wife to be honest. Granted she didn't really care for me when we first met." A small chuckle came out of Mashyuu but he didn't pay it any attention. He was just happy to be in a place that wasn't out right attacking him.

The most interesting thing about the half demoness scent was the lack of anything ashy, remnestic of fire, an element nearly impossible to avoid in eternity. Normally? Only someone who took great care to avoid flames, could lack any scents relating to fire. Kazehime did indeed fall into that category, the wind mage took extreme measures and exercised extraordinary caution to avoid encountering fire in any form near her body, because she knew well of how much she feared that one element. Even though she controlled an element herself? She could just not give flames an equal respect, could not suppress the fear she felt revolving around it, for the terror was rooted far too deep into the girl's heart. Even just having a torch brought in front of her face? Could be enough to make her pass out. Fire rendered Jiyu helpless, so the wind mage took great care in avoiding it, whenever possible. Also it was a rather positive thing that Mashyuu made no comment on anything about the canine girl, because while she was confident about herself in every way, she did have a single insecurity besides people rejecting her due to being half demon, and that insecurity was the pale, barely notable, discoloration around her wrists and lower legs. While activating her demon blood had rid her body of numerous signs telling of the two year captivity she’d endured rather recently? Some thing’s could not be undone, and the bruising where her shackles had sat, was just too deep even for her demonic healing to take care of! The only real way to truly tick off or offend Jiyu, would be to mention the subtly lighter skin in those locations, but since he didn’t speak of anything, the problem likely would never emerge.

None of that meant that this woman did not have a rather drastic temper.

“Hottie?” she echoed after him, her eyebrow quirking, eyes shining dangerously. Despite the confidence she flounced around with, and the way she dressed? It had been a little while since someone had last actually made a comment like that. Part of the demoness was inclined to accept it as a compliment, but the other half of her wanted to tear his throat out and eat it for staring at her in such a way. In the end she couldn’t pick between them, so she chose neither of them and went with a third option she never really considered, taking out her fan and flicking it to cover the lower half of her face and thus the scowl she made, no reason to unsettle things so soon in the process of working together. “Do that and the werewolves won’t be your only problem tonight, my name is Jiyu Kazehime.”  maybe she could get away with a runaway wind blade potentially striking him later? She shook her head at the bad thought, flicking her fan closed as the playful and taunting light in her eyes returned, smirk on her lips as she turned around and her tail lashed distinctly. ”And you best put your eyes somewhere else, just because it’s exposed doesn’t mean you have to stare so indistinctly, unless you want to end up on the ground” it was weird that he focused in on her mid-drift, most men focused in on her chest, but she guessed everyone had their own thing. In the end? She didn’t care about people’s kinks or desires, just that she got her way, and they stopped staring when she said so, control and such here, it was all her’s, nothing would ever change that.

“Why would we have been given actual useful information we didn’t gather ourselves? I wish it was ever that easy.” she chuckled it out, holding her hands at the back of her neck, beneath her thick ebony hair, some of it pressed flush to her back by the quiver of arrows thrown across her torso. Honestly, it she didn’t like her hair so much, she would have tied it up a long time ago, to make things like this easier, but the sorceress was fond of her long locks; So even if they got in the way, next to all the time, she let them remain down. “A head count is a nice idea though.” she would use smell or hearing to decide how many people existed in the village, with how sensitive her five senses were, she could potentially use them to do such a thing. However? The wind witch was already pinching the bridge of her nose and taking shallow breaths, trying to avoid her nose becoming overwhelmed, and it would only be a matter of time before she had to take care of her ears somehow too! Sadly thought, for her eyes all she could do was wait for the sun to go down, removing the annoyingly painful glares coming from anything even remotely shiny! Luckily she didn’t have to worry about her sense of touch unless this guy decided to lay a hand on her, since she was barely wearing anything, the stimulation to her body's nerves was less than a full and decent outfit would be. In the end, she cursed everyone who had normal senses and wanted advanced ones, they really did not know how miserable it could be to have hyper tuned sense’s!

Her ears flicked very noticeably at his next words, her blue eye turning to face him slightly, head tilted as she walked. Having this discussion? Was essential, but she didn’t know if she could have it in a town, a village, without letting her senses go too much and ending up incapacitated due to it. Was it even worth the risk, with what they were suppose to do tonight? “We’ll have this conversation once we’re done with the elder’s, but I’m a wind mage with takeover secondary.” she visibly flinched when several nearby children screamed, she hadn’t been able to protect her ears from that due to talking to him. Keeping her senses in control when she was in her own head? Was one thing, but thinking and having to reply to someone, it was different, and it screwed with her defenses against over stimulation. “It will help.” when she could tune out the conversations of everyone else to focus on her own with him!

She let him take over when they entered the building, seemingly obediently following his request to enter first, but she was just trying to preserve her brutalized senses. Once they were inside? Things eased up, but she needed to flush everything back to a stalemate, so while he spoke to the  secretary, she got a weird look for covering her ears, closing her eyes and starting to take deep breaths into her mouth and flushing them out through her nose. Sadly, she would still have to deal with whatever scents her mouth collected and exhaled the next time she breathed out with it, but it was better than her nose remaining over stimulated. “It typically goes much easier if you poke around a bit before getting down to the magic part.” now that she had flushed her sense’s, evened them out slightly, she could focus in on him much better, eyes clearly on him once more.

“First off as you might have already begun to guess from my behavior, my senses are extremely acute and I have an additional sixth ability to sense magnetic fields.”
just to make sure that was perfectly clear, she figured it would be, expect for her sixth sense. Oh crap! He was an earth mage, would his manipulation of the ground affect the fields  she used to navigate, the wind mage had never even considered such a thing, but now she had to make sure. “We’ll have to test if your magic disorientates me or not and if it does, how far I have to be away from it in order to not be affected.” if his magic affected her ability to navigate, they would have to be very careful working together, or else he could render her in a drunken like state. At least Jiyu guessed, the last the her field had been messed with by anything except a storm, well she had been electrocuted on a ship, and until they counted the booze bottles, the crew and captain had believed her drunk. Of course? Upon finding out she was unwell instead of drunk, they’d made her rest, until her body reset itself. “I’m a range fighter though, so it doesn’t matter much I suppose. I mentioned before that I’m a Wind Mage, but it’s important you know that while my magic is powerful, my body is incredibly weak, if someone gets close to me, I’m pretty much done.” once someone landed the first close combat hit on her? She had to go into a defensive mode, because of how much damage even a melee attack could deal to her body. “I’m fast though and the chances of someone actually pinning me down are rather low.” so long as she avoided being pinned down, well Jiyu figured she would be alright, especially in these conditions. “I can also boost an ally's magic attacks for a little.” thought it did not last long, she guessed it would be effective enough. “And you're calling another girl hottie? Your wife should castrate you.” she chuckled playfully, flicking her hand fan over her face, before snapping it closed once more and simply playing with it. For now, they would focus on talking out how best to work together against the werewolves tonight. “And apart from my magic there isn’t really much to know.” she was a tad bit guarded, considering for several years she had been a runaway, and when she finally was a legal adult, well she was fresh out of spending two years tied up.

    Notes:

"Well Jiyu Kazehime, it's a pleasure to meet you. Please don't be worse than a Werewolf. I don't think I would like being eaten by a half... What are you?" Mashyuu sniffed the air hard. "Half Demon?" He questioned puzzled by the strange smells he was getting from the woman. He had fought Demons before and they all had very distinct scents but hers was much more muted in comparison. Mashyuu did notice the smirk on her lips but didn't say a word about that. Instead he decided to comment on her quip about him staring at him. "Hey, if you are going to dress like that I'm gonna look. Besides, I was just looking at the ink on your body. I could have been staring at your chest or something." He half chuckled.

"Really? They didn't tell you anything good? Not even that we have till moon rise to figure out a strategy to keep everyone in the village and not let them escape? I'm considering digging a big ass hole." Mashyuu quipped. The normally jovial tone in his voice shifted to a dark and annoyed tone when he heard Jiyu give her secondary magic type. "Take Over..... Well that will be fun to see I guess." Mashyuu had never met a Take Over Wizard he liked but with any luck this woman would be the exception to the near fact.

Nodding his head in his seat, Mashyuu listened to Jiyu talk about her senses, it was obvious. Clearly something she was struggling to get used to and that shocked Mashyuu. Maybe her senses were sharper than his, but that seemed unlikely thanks to the Dragon blood surging through him. "Magnetic fields won't be an issue. My magic really doesn't deal with that... But I bet I could make it..." Instantly Mashyuu started putting together ideas in his head for some new fusion spells and Special Abilities he could use as a higher ranking Wizard. "It's good that you use ranged spells, just keep em away from my Earth magic, ya know... because wind erodes earth and what not. I'd say roughly half my spells have a bad side effect thanks to wind magic." Mashyuu started to think and considered just letting the woman next to him use support magic to keep her wind spells in check. "OH don't worry about things getting to you, I'll hold the line with no issues. And K-" Mashyuu stopped himself from speaking for a moment. If a legal Wizard knew Mashyuu was married to a Dark Guilds Master then he might be labeled dark as well and have to go on the run with his daughter. "... My wife knows I'm a big flirt so she doesn't mind me doing it. It's just my way of showing I like you." Mashyuu added.

Just as the two had finished speaking the Blonde returned and asked the duo of Wizards to follow her. Mashyuu stood up and used his hammer like a cane, walking with it to a chamber with a long marble table, behind the table sat five elders all wearing fur robes and Mashyuu's body started to sweat at the thought of how hot that must be. "I'm not much of a talker when it comes to strangers so I'll let you handle this one okay Cutie?"

He had no way in the world to know he was striking an incredibly sore cord within the wind user, and she tried to tell herself this fact as he spoke, suppress the urge to rip him to shreds with her  bare claws, since her body was incapable of it anyways. On a recent mission with another Ace of her Guild? They had defeated a soft shell turtle, and the ace of diamonds being a cook meant he wanted to bring it with, which lead to him getting blood on his hands, the scent of it bombarding the half demoness for several long spans of time. During one of the fight’s, she had been knocked out, fainted actually, and this had removed her ability to think clearly and sanely, when she started coming to, her nose picked up the blood once more, and without a fully aware mind to tell her no? Jiyu licked the blood from his hand and then proceeded to try to rip the monkey boy's hand off with her fangs and claws. Magna had waited there for her to wake up after saving her from a phoenix, and she repaid the man by trying to consume him! Jiyu only realized the shame associated with the whole event, after they returned to Black Rose and she’d had the night to process the whole event. Now? While she still feared her guild-mates flame originated magic, she also respected him, the male was strong against her with his fire and cerberus slayer attributes, he could have easily killed her when she lost it, but instead he went through the effort of bringing her out of it. However she would not go another mission with him right now, she could not look him in the eye with any trace of dignity, not right now, so soon after trying such a stunt. Plus? She still had to formulate revenge for how dog like he had treated her when he tried to revive her sanity! There was no way monkey boy was getting away with flicking her nose, spraying her with a spray bottle and than calling her a bad girl and telling her not to bite people; Nope she would get back at him somehow, that was for sure. Right now though, she had to focus on doing this mission and getting along with the new mage in front of her.

“Yes, half dog demon, my father is human while my mother was a dog demoness.” although she had never known of her mother being a demoness until she found out about her own status as a half demon. As she spoke? Her mind flashed back to when a certain someone had explained to her that he was half cat, laughing at how she was now explaining to someone why she was not human. Even if Mashyuu had not asked her directly like she had asked someone in the past, when she thought she was human? The wind witch thought he deserved to know if they were working together for this whole thing. However she might have given away more than intended with her dictation, the use of ‘is’ for her father and ‘was’ for her mother, suggested the girl's mother was no longer among the living. Of course this was why she was a mage in the first place, if her mother never died she would not have learned magic and would have never run away from home and joined a guild.

“Let me catch you staring at my chest and you won’t have balls anymore.” yet her hips swayed to one side as she spoke, playing off his chuckle and thus assuming it to not be truly flirting of any form. Thus? She chose that she could play with him a bit, let her body do some talking that she would contradict with her mouth, to let him know that while she was flirtatious and playful, she was not actually interested. Like most times she played around with someone? The wind mage would likely tire of it swiftly, but it could never hurt to play with someone who seemed as if they could keep up and not get overly involved in it. “Clever place for a guild mark isn’t it?” she laughed out as he commented about looking at her ink and not her body itself. If she believed him or not? Was another matter.

“Nope they told me nothing, of course I didn’t read the whole thing either. Your big ass hole actually sounds plausible if your magic can do it, but let’s inquire the abilities of the wolves we’ll be facing first.” she just admitted she took the job without fully reading the letter, either she was stupid, really liked doing her own research or desperate to get out of the place she had been when the letter got to her! In the end? It was a combination of the last two, because while the sorceress was rash and reckless she was far from dim witted. “Well only two of the current one’s visually change me, one for my ears and another for paws, the last is for my tail and it’s basically just to- never mind that.” she was not about to tell someone who had this man’s nature about how sensitive her tail was, how to use it in battle she had to activate a takeover for it to negate feeling in it. Somehow? She had the sinking feeling if he found out, Mashyuu would use it to his own advantage if they got into a verbal argument or something, she really did not trust people with her tail. If someone could get their hands on it? They could make her do whatever the hell they pleased the appendage was too sensitive for her to put any fight once it was grabbed; With that thought in mind, she swayed it away from him distinctly, just to make sure he did not try to inspect what she had left out of her sentence on his own. From what she could tell at the moment? They were getting along fairly well, it wasn’t instant click like she had been with like only two other people, but there was nothing immediately preventing them from working together on this mission and maybe another in the future. Hopefully she indeed would break his streak of not liking mages who used takeover magic. In fact? One day she would gain a takeover he might rather enjoy!

Jiyu was oddly powerful for a half demon, but considering she was also oddly physically weak for one? It pretty much evened out. However another reason for her trouble getting used to it? Could be the fact she was born with her demonic blood lying dormant, and thus lived a large part of her life without the full effects of her demon blood. Now that her blood was active? She had an adjustment period, time required to get used to her blood running free as it now did. “We’ll have take turns attacking than.” she reasoned it, since her spells could not be active in the same space as his without weakening them. “It shouldn’t be hard, I’ve done it with people before, though when I do I normally make the first strikes in a series and then just strike whenever my ally is far enough away not to be stuck, as my wind doesn’t really have the ability to tell my allies from my enemies.” which meant her wind would lash out at an ally with the same brutality it would attack an enemy with, and she could do nothing about it! Honestly due to it, sometimes working with people was a pain in her ass, but she made it work, most of the time. “That’s good thought.” she was happy most of the other mages she ran into could function as close combatants, walls of sorts to keep enemies from making it to her, getting close enough to even try to pin her down. Many times? It was a huge load of her shoulders, as she responded badly to people grabbing her, considering she’d been kidnapped once in the past.

He stopped speaking for a second, and she tilted her head, both optics looking at him with curiosity. Was he ashamed of who his wife was? Her mind flashed back to the fact her father had never told her about mother being a demoness, and she scowled slightly. Shaking her head slightly, she chose to try to believe another alternative besides shame existed. The air had become awkwardly thick as the blonde returned, and she pondered for a second on how to get back the sway they had before. “Who say’s I want you to like me~” she accented her movement as she stood and flicked her waist long hair, chuckling slightly, offering him a slight smile, as she starting following the blonde. Hopefully? That would have the desired effect, she had liked the banter they had going before.

“Yeah, Yeah Casanova.” she looked at him with half of her face, sighing slightly and smirking afterwards, walking to sit on the table the elder’s were seated around. “You know there is a chair right there, one for each of you, right woman?” one of the spoke up when her barely clad ass touched the wood of the table, and she leaned back to look at them upside down. “And I really don’t care for chairs, besides you already know what we need to know, so this is more of a debriefing right wolfies?” and it looked as if they really did not know what to do with the half demoness, a few shaking their heads, one face palm and the last few just staring at her chest, considering they were old thought, she guessed it was alright since it must have been forever since they last got laid. “So tell me, what different kinds of werewolves can we expect tonight?” she spoke it out in a smooth tone, turning to sit w-style on the table, right in front of the chair reserved for her, her fluffy tail resting in that. Even if she did not trust Mashyuu around the appendage? She trusted it around him more than she trusted the elder’s with it! “Some people are just confused, not much worse than a normal confused wolf, other’s foam at the mouth as if they were rapid and their dangerous.” however it seemed like they were holding out and she cast doe eyes at them, making affirming and understanding noises, coaxing the rest of it out of them, like she often did to people, when she needed information. “There will be two wolves, an Alpha and an Omega, they are stronger than rest.” she nodded at the infromation, wondering if any of the wolves would get territorial with her, and she only hopped her sanity could sustain the night, that the moon would not have some effect with her demon blood. However she had never heard tale of demons losing it due to the moon, so she was likely safe! “How about their attacks?” she questioned it, one of her claws tracing patterns on the table. “Most of them attack with fang and claw, the Omega and Alpha however, their attacks are significantly stronger one is equal to A-rank damage and the other is equal to S-rank damage when they attack.” she took note on how they never stated magic damage and nodded slightly. So while they were powerful? It seemed they were entirely too confused to think logically. “That’s all we need, i’ll be back if anything expected happens.” she motioned her hand for Mashyuu to follow her as she stood up and exited the room, leaving the elder’s to stare after them.

“If we’re careful and clever here it seems we can keep the advantage, where is your headcount? We’ll need it to plan. Your friend may also be useful in helping evacuate humans, this is a mixed village and no one believes what will happen tonight, so it’s likely they won’t leave on their own before it starts.” they were supposed to prevent casualties right? Even if the village was not directly mixed like she expected, with the moon festival so close, humans were certainly present and would not leave before this started. Jiyu finally rested against a brick wall, hoisting herself up, legs swaying as she spoke to him and tapped her fan against her chin while she plotted.

    Notes:

Mashyuu didn't say anything about Jiyu and her parents for a moment but eventually spoke about it. "I lost my mother too, and grew up thinking my father was dead. Turns out he just left me for a time. I've been struggling with that." Mashyuu's voice was soft and a bit reflective as if he hadn't known how to handle that. While she warned him to not stare at her chest the way her body moved told him otherwise. The young Earth Slayer smirked at her and drew a deep breath of air. "It's an interesting place indeed. But..." Mashyuu pulled his shirt down low enough to show off the Sabertooth emblem marked on his left pectoral. "Mine is fun to touch." Mashyuu winked at Jiyu and let his shirt go.

"The hole was a joke, I figure a wolf could jump out of a big hole ya dig?" He started to giggle for a moment at his own joke. He found it strange that the woman didn't read the entire job request but hell he rarely did as well. She just seemed like the type to gather a lot of information. He went silent for a moment, reflecting on her speaking of using take over magic. It wasn't that he hated Take Over users but he had never met one he liked. The last one almost killed him but it wasn't her so he wouldn't judge her on that. The pair had been getting along fairly well, and that was good. He smiled at the thought of her and him doing more jobs together. "Yeah we can take turns attacking, or you can just hit things that are coming at me and I'll jump in the way of anything trying to hurt you." Mashyuu grinned at her again with his sly smile that melted hearts.

"Sweetie everyone wants me to like them. If you are telling yourself anything else your lying." Mashyuu joked back at her and followed the beauty into the meeting hall. He watched as Jiyu sat on the table and tried to not lust after the woman. He lost his trail of thought with her laying down, like the old men he was watching her chest and trying to fight back the nosebleed. The moment she motioned for him to follow her he smiled at the old men and shrugged. "Duty calls I suppose." He twisted around on his feet and followed his partner silently.

Outside he looked the woman up and down and leaned against a wall near by to look right at her. "It might be better to try to lure the wolves out of town but keep them close. I doubt we can defend every human and some are going to try to run out of the village either way. I told Hoseki to meet us outside the village. I wasn't sure how a village would react to a Dragon strutting around their home ya know?" Mashyuu pushed off the wall and looked around. "For some guys who want us to help out I feel like they are hiding something... Maybe one of them is planning something underhanded."

Her eyes widened slightly "I lost my mother too” she opened her mouth, eyes becoming guarded as she went to snap and say he was wrong, that she hadn’t lost her mother. However? She couldn't lie that blatantly, especially when he offered up something so personal in return for what she had mistakenly revealed, and so earnestly replied to her at that, gave no reason to distrust him or anything of the such. What was she suppose to say though, when he revealed so much and she never intended the conversation to begin from the start?  The wind user stood still, her hand on the opposite elbow and teeth grinding into her tongue as she thought. Kazehime silently cursed her sense of pride, she couldn’t just let him remain to vulnerable, let herself have such an information stash like that on him, it was useless in battle, but in terms of information on an emotional level, it was so valuable and a precious thing for someone to share. “Demon Hunters.” she was leaving out tons, the fact no one in the village had believe her mother was murdered, the fact her father drown it all in a bottle, it happened because she was incapable of defending herself, mother died making sure they couldn’t prove she was half demon. Of course? There was still so much about it that Jiyu did not know about what had happened! In the end, she was lying without even knowing it because her mother’s death had lots more involved in it than she could ever suspect. At the moment, it was clear he would only get this much out of the woman, her hair and tail swaying behind her, both seeming a little limp until the spring in her step came back seconds later, but it seemed a little over compensating for a little bit until she fell back into the normal flounce.

“Yeah, Nice boob.” she whirled around on him aiming to use her fan, which she had retrieved from her waistband without it really being noticed, to poke him in the middle point of the torso. On the woman’s face? Lay a playful pale pink lipped smirk, her blue eye and the green one dancing in mischief, both of them narrowed in a kittenish manner, as she swayed back a single step and placed her arms behind her back, making her chest stick out slightly more, almost falling back but catching herself on the other foot. “Oh gosh a man I just met is asking me to touch his bare chest? What ever is a girl to do?!.” she giggled it, turning around once more on their trek to the town hall, tail wagging by now, enjoying their banter. Kazehime’s mind stopped a moment to consider how much she had changed, back when she first started with guilds she would have just taunted him, when she was human post-kidnapping she would have reacted aggressively. Now that she was a half demon and confident once more? She was playing his game right back at him, and enjoying it immensely, beginning to wonder who else she could play with in this way, and get away with it, no major hitches or injuries. The only thing that really matter, was that by now he had the little canine laughing out loud, no matter how light her laughter was. She smirked at his joke, but nothing more was really mentioned on it as they went along.

“Hmm, am I now?” she commented back, as her little game of hassle information from the elderly men on the council, began. Honestly? Her flirtatious behavior was not even on purpose, most of the time she really did not have an actual idea what she was doing, what it could truly be called. Unlike most women, Jiyu had not learned from another female or such, not because she wanted to seduce someone or bring someone to their knees, watch people tremble before her, thought it was a big plus. When Kazehime had learned to act so provocatively, in such a seductive and suggestive manner? It had been because it got her whatever she wanted while she was a runaway going from ship to ship and surviving without a single penny to her name, living off whatever she could get from others. Once she had become a wizard she noticed at least half of the time, it still had the same desired effect, so she had never grown out of the behavior. If something worked? Why would someone trash it or try something else that might not be so effective!

“Let’s go see your dragon first then, either side of this is going to be chaos so we’ll decide what's best when we see the play out start.” honestly, trying to control confused and deranged wolves or panicked humans, neither would be easy, both difficult and undesirable. However their job relied on being able to do both to some extent, so she’d figure it out eventually. “After we speak to your dragon the last thing we need to do it let me set one of my spells and then find a high point for me to use for the night.” her ranged attacks? Worked best when she could look down on the field from a high place, and let herself attack at a leisurely pace, balance between her larger and stronger range of effect spells, instead of restricting to to having to juggle her attacks and looking all around the field. Taking the highest point on the battlefield? Allowed her the best range for everything she could potentially do in a battle, kept her comfortable.

    Notes:

Demon hunters, ironic considering Mashyuu's mother was killed by a Demon cult. He nodded in understanding, but didn't say a word about it. He understood that it was hard to talk about some of these things and decided to not push the subject. Mashyuu couldn't help but laugh a little at the woman's joke about his chest. This woman was fun to tease and she could do it just as good as Mashyuu did. He didn't bother to push the subject any more and headed with his new friend to see the old men.

Of course the men didn't give the pair of Wizards much to go on, instead they were too focused on Jiyu's chest and legs. Mashyuu chuckled under his breath then followed the woman outside to talk about what to do from here. "Yeah, lets go. Don't freak out and Hoseki will be calm as well. But if you freak out he might attack. He's still a baby." Mashyuu explained and started to walk out of the village side by side Jiyu. "My wife, she is a Dark Wizard. So I don't like to talk about her in public often. I'm basically just trying to keep her safe." Mashyuu explained when they were outside of the village. Once the pair were in the vibrant green forest Mashyuu pulled a small smoke bomb out of his jacket and moved his arm to move the young woman out of his way before he tossed it to the ground. A purple plume of smoke came up out of the pellet and rose high into the sky, signaling to Hoseki where Mashyuu was currently hanging out.

The glorious white scaled Platinum Dragon soared down to the pair and touched down gently in front of the pair. "A little over six hundred are in the village. Unless I miscounted. That is not counting whoever was inside a building." Hoseki stated calmly. His blue eyes bounced between Mashyuu and the woman. "Hmm, so we are dealing with at least six hundred, likely more in this situation. What do you want to do about this? Hoseki, we were talking earlier, and decided it best to keep my friend Jiyu here away from melee combat. Would you be okay with letting her ride you and giving cover fire from above while keeping her safe?" Mashyuu asked politely.

Hoseki thought about it for a moment and smelled the woman for a moment then pulled back and dropped to his knees. "This is acceptable. I will keep you safe young lady." Mashyuu shrugged his shoulders and offered his attractive friend a wide grin. "Doesn't get much better than a vantage point that is mobile eh?" The sun was starting to set, signaling the battles would son begin. "So how do you want to set this up?" Mashyuu asked while looking around the forest at everything in the area. "I hate to say it but someone is going to likely die during this fight. We need to pick our spots and see if we can maybe lure them into a bottle neck position to thin their numbers out a little before we get into a real fight."

Both of them knew that their ‘bonding’ bullshit would not be enhanced by talking about a loss that neither of them may have been exactly ready to open up about. Thus not a single word further would be uttered regarding their deceased mother’s, and that seemed just fine with both mages on the job. Coming to an understanding like this one, might be rare sometimes, but this event proved it did sometimes, that it was possible to not need to say anything. The small smirk that had covered her lips from their joking before, still remained there, painted across her mouth and etched onto her face. Playful banter like the kind they’d exchanged in, it felt natural to the half demoness, a sort of natural she hadn’t felt in a while and he managed to joke like this with her, without taking it too far. While Kazehime was eager to partake in verbal banter like theirs, she had a hard time doing it with many people, as often times people took it too far and she flashed back to when she’d been tied up and blindfolded for two years, than freak out on them, even if everything had been going perfectly fine before.

Even if they did not get much information, they had gotten it easier than if the men had not been distracted and focused on the woman’s assets. heck those men probably wished they were mashyuu right now! If Jiyu had any ideal of patience, they likely would have gotten more! However the wind witch was as rash as she was intelligent, so the two traits often combated each other, and her rash nature often won out. “How intimidating can a dragon be?” she spoke the words out, considering the only dragonic thing she had met so far, Leila’s pet Yuki, who was a humanoid dragon mixed with a fox. Jiyu really had no way of knowing what an actual dragon looked like, despite how much she had traveled in the past, she could only draw to that one experience. Too bad she didn’t know how far off the mark it was! Only the actual encounter would tell if she would be able to cope with a dragon or not, considering her fear of fire it might be hard to make the woman get along with a dragon.

He spoke up once more and her eyes widened.

What was she suppose to do with that, him blurting out with wife was a dark mage! Jiyu stood still for a few seconds, looking at him shocked. They just met and he was trusting her with that information, for all he knew she could rush to the council with it, and he would be in trouble if he didn’t turn his wife into them, he’d be in jail likely. She had never been expecting to be trusted with information like this, no idea what to do with it, confusion wracking her brain and drowning her. “I can see how stating that in the village would have been a major problem~” her playful voice was back, but it was clear she was still deciding what to do about what he had said to her, eyes not looking at his own orbs quite yet. Eventually she came to a conclusion for this decision she never expected to have to make! She used the fact her parents were from two separate species to do it “Your trying to keep her safe, because you love her. Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone, if you ever need help.” if being’s from two separate species could love each other long enough, hard enough, to make a child, there was no reason mages from different affiliates couldn't love each other just as much. There was nothing else to be said on this, who his wife was, well that was none of her business, it simply was a fact she knew, accompanied by the fact he now knew if he ever needed help, if things ever went wrong, she’d help how she could, if he came to her for the aid. Any further speaking on the subject, would do them no good here, but she figured he would leave it be now, he had left their parents alone.

She responded to his outstretched arm before he could use it to touch her, taking an extra step back than what was necessary. Blue-green eyes widen when the dragon actually came and landed in front of them, and she took her time getting over the shock again. “More than I thought there was in there.” the playfulness from her voice had faded as she stared, the thought of how much bigger than expected he was echoing in her mind, soon enough she’d be normal but for now, damn was he big. Sure the dragon was only the size of a horse, but she had been expecting a person around her own height, boy was she mistaken. They spoke to each other and she did not really get the fact she was involved until the drake moved forward to sniff her, the strange thing was his action caused her own nose to flare, dog’s relied on scent heavily so it was only natural to return such a greeting when she received one, but it was still weird sometimes. “Uh, yeah, that will be fine.” she was still reeling, her mind trying to sort through things, which happened shockingly for how clever she seemed to be. No danger existed with them, she wasn’t rushing her brain, that would come later.

“Ooh that is true!” she seemed excited again, as she realized for a rare moment she’d be able to move about the field ‘freely’ compared to her normal requirements. Jiyu moved forward easily now, collected once again, reaching her hand out, and holding it  near the dragon's nose as she placed a hand right over his neck, and would than touch his neck if he did not move on her. While he had offered his back to her, she doubted he’d appreciate her just jumping on! Jiyu knew she’d hate that. So the woman gave him more chance to take in her scent, get used to the feeling of her hand on him, she’d wait to actually mount him, make sure neither of them would freak out. “Well we could have you protect the humans while they flee.” one of their mission objectives had been to preserve as much life as possible, otherwise this mission wouldn’t exist. “I can keep the wolves entertained for at least a few minutes while you evacuate the people too stubborn to leave early.” which lead them to keeping the wolves in and other people out, that had to be done! “Which brings me to a thought I had, maybe you can erect some sort of earth dome? They’ll likely be able to break through, but we’d notice them doing it, that way we don’t have a wolf getting into the rest of the country without us knowing it.” she would do it with her wind barrier, but it was not large enough, which brought her to the thought she needed to train that up, modify it from the way she learned to cast it, into something she could use more often. Jiyu stopped thinking about the future and focused back on the night about to come, the sun starting to set. “We should go do the last of the set up now, let’s go I have to cast something in town so I can use it later, and than I can buff you right before the night starts.” she spoke up, sighing as she looked back to the village. This was going to be a long night, but at least she was spending it with someone she figured she could call a friend very soon, and with no discussion of the moon and it’s romantic aspects.

    Notes:

Hoseki glanced at Mashyuu while the woman slowly moved over to him and started to get used to the dragon. After a moment of getting annoyed at waiting Hoseki gently reached out and grabbed the girl by the top and placed her to sit side saddle on the leather seat Mashyuu had strapped to the dragon. Hoseki smiled at the woman and spoke in a kind and gentle tone. "As much as I like to get to know those who are going to sit on my back, we have a village to keep safe. Now, you said something about evacuating the village. Let me be the one to give some input to the situation." Hoseki stood up slowly and spread his massive wings to get ready for flight. "The village would be better defended if we were to draw the wolves out into the forest. The human's could take that chance to simply board up their homes and keep themselves safe. If Mashyuu has to lead some of the villagers out there is a good chance one the wolves or more, will be able to lock someone in a pincer attack with hunting theory. Mashyuu can't be at both ends of the group at once. And I doubt that I'll be able to keep everyone safe from above, even with a powerful Wizard on my back." Hoseki explained.

Mashyuu's blue eyes looked up to the sky and his nose flared up, the scent of deer filled the air and he licked his lips. "It's not a bad idea, but I have a better one. Lets call this home base and meet back here after your spell is cast. I'll set up what I have to do in the mean time. Hoseki lets get this show on the road." Mashyuu took his hammer and slung it over his shoulder then took off as fast as he could, kicking up a small trail of dirt from his bodies rapid movement. Mashyuu darted towards the small heard of deer he could smell and opened his sharp clawed hands, with a swipe of his arms the beasts, six in all fell dead where they stood before they could even react to his being there.

It only took Mashyuu a few minutes to rip into the beasts and pull their livers out and collect the six of them in his hands. He wanted to bite into them to feed himself but this was for something different. With the organs in one hand he grabbed the intestine of a deer and too off, dragging the intestine around the village so that the scent would lead from any place and back to the deer. Mashyuu would head them off before the wolves made it that far but it would be nice to be able to corral them into one general area. With that done he placed all the livers in a line at the village's main gate then headed back for the forest clearing.

Once there Mashyuu came to a sliding stop and looked at Hoseki and Jiyu. "Don't waste your spells on me, do me a favor and try to get out there and lead the wolves this way once they start changing. I can't save everyone in town but I can take out whatever comes our way. The trail of blood might help though." Mashyuu suggested and looked around. He could start wasting spells now or he could wait to see what the group of Wizards were up against and really that was likely the best action to take in this situation...

Jiyu Really despised her short five foot tall stature and her barely a hundred pound mass of weight, the combination made her so easy for people to man handle! Everyone she encountered tried to do it at some point, probably thinking it was cute to forcefully maneuver someone so small, and that was usually when her more violent and snappy side came out. Even before mental trauma of being restrained for so long, she’d always had a problem being someone’s play thing, the girl did not like losing control of herself. Yet it was so easy for people to do whatever they wanted with her, and she was too weak in body to stop them, her magic was all she had, it infuriated her sometimes. The second the dragon's jaws closed around her bikini top, tugging on it and making the item nearly ride up her breasts, she trashed significantly, trying to escape until he set her down on his back. Normally she would say something, get very upset, but he was both an animal and spoke before she could open her big mouth. “Home base, yeah.” there was not the time for her to start screaming and throwing her normal fits, at least she didn’t think so. All Jiyu could do, was mentally promise herself that this dragon would hear about it someday later for pawing her around, just like how she had plotted her revenge against monkey boy, had it ready for the next job they went on together, as soon as she selected the jo! Revenge was always best taken on one’s own terms as opposed to random terms or the terms of another. It would taste so sweet when her plan finally worked out, but she was getting distracted again, and probably had a very sadistic expression set in on her face before she shook her head and cleared it. Right now it was time to focus on not getting murdered in the line of duty tonight.

“Well than I might as well set it up here.” if there was some way to avoid damaging the town, than she might as well try it, since most of her magic also damaged whatever structures were in her cast range, an outdoor field was probably best. Jiyu slid off the back of the dragon for the moment, walking to the base of the nearest tree and placing her hands at the base of it, walking to a walk several meters away doing the same, repeating this with the use of natural things that stood on their own, things she could use to ensure everything was in range when she activated the trap. “That’s done then, it’ll be my first strike, now than.” her ally arrived back and she did not glance his way, looking around for ways she could use the environment later. Jiyu really should have been paying attention to Mashyu, not lost in her own little word, she was going to suffer for being distracted.

The scent of blood filled her nose the next time she inhaled through it, and the effect was immediate, nostrils flaring, pupils dilating as her eyes darkened, ears twitching and a powerful lash of her tail, spinning on her heel. When she first faced him, once he brought the smell of blood into the clearing, she looked predatory, darkened eyes transfixed on him, momentarily brushing over any area that could be used to kill someone. Luckily, she was too weak to really do much damage unless she got a vital vein, which was unlikely with how thick a man's skin was. Jiyu took a few steps forward, before she managed to turn her expression jaded and sarcastic, fighting off her instincts, but just barely. “Future reference, try to keep the scent of blood away from me or at least off your person.” or she’d be the next takeover mage trying to kill him! Kazehime took labored breaths, thinking of anything except the blood in an attempt to keep herself under control. “Thought we might want to keep hold on some of it for later in the night, consuming blood makes me faster, more resistant to attacks and also helps me heal.” she mused it, however glancing at the slowly rising moon she noted there was no time to fetch the blood. “Eh, We’ll have to cross that bridge when we come to it, this thing is going to start any moment.” she moved to mount hosenki once more, placing her hand at one shoulder to help push her small frame back up, clearly it was hard for someone so short to mount the dragon.

“Lure them? Alright, that should be easy~” she regained the playfulness she had displayed earlier in full force, smirking large and holding her finger tips together right in front of her mouth. “Pissing them off should do the trick.” of course making raging werewolves pissed at you was the best way to lure them! That likely was not true, but it would prove effective and it was really the only way Jiyu knew to lure them away. It really said something about a person when the only way they knew to lure angry people effectively was make them angrier. “We’ll be right back.”

But how did she make the dragon fly, oops she should have asked for a lesson first, Jiyu had no clue what she was doing on this thing! However they were soon above the village, the moon full and chaos breaking out. “Oh wow, that’s working well.” she watched below and saw his blood trail was working amazingly well, luring all the wolves towards their home base. “”Time to get the stranglers~” she giggled it out and smirked slightly, having the dragon swoop lower so that the wolves unimpressed with the blood trail could take notice of her. “Hey fleabag puppies!” to human’s it wouldn’t make any sense, but calling full grown dogs puppies was an insult, especially when you clearly smelled like dog yourself, so it didn’t take long before the small group focused in on her and followed swiftly.

“Mashyu stay back for a moment.” Once all the wolves were in place, she prayed her ally had listed and formed a triangle with her hands, causing the first of her attacks to spring, damaging the numerous werewolves that had been unknowingly standing in it, now reaching for her arrows. Until she saw how much damage her ally could do, she wouldn’t activate her take overs, sure she could double her attack power like that, but it was best to bide her time to be safe, they gave her power, yes, but they also had insane cool downs.

    Notes:

This was it, the moment of truth. Mashyuu could smell the attractive Jiyu flying atop Hoseki, getting closer, could hear the werewolves rumbling across the ground towards Mashyuu. Taking up a firm stance on the ground Mashyuu readied himself for the coming charge when Jiyu swept in low over head, warning Mashyuu to get out of the way. It had to have something to do with her tree touching earlier. Deciding it best to take Jiyu's advice to heart Mashyuu tensed his leg muscles and jumped up high, landing in a tree and watching as the first batch of rabid Werewolves were blasted with a powerful spell. When the smoke cleared Mashyuu dropped down before the beasts and let his right arm charge up with golden sparks. "Time to get to work, nothing can stop me, nothing can defeat a Sabertooth Wizard. THUNDER FLASH!" He called out and threw his right arm out before him. A lance of golden electricity lanced out from his palm, blasting out and into two of the Wolves knocking them through the air and into a tree, down but not out they whimpered and snarled, going to all fours and stalking Mashyuu in the forest.

Mashyuu bent his knees, letting his pants ride up over his legs just a bit, revealing his speed boosting boots. His ring warned him of the exact number of rabid Werewolves that currently surrounded him. Twenty Four, all weaker than you but able to take a bit of a beating. The hammer might be useful. Ux was right, so far Mashyuu hadn't used any magical power to fight these things and he wouldn't until the big fish started to come out of the wood works and Jiyu started to really bring the pain. With any luck she would understand that using Gorilla tactics would be the best use of her ranged attacks. Mashyuu drew the hammer off the loops on the small of his back just above his belt and whirled the Dragon's Boon War Hammer around in his right hand for a few swings before stopping and holding the hammer tightly. "Fine, if you don't want to charge yet I'll give you a reason to do it." Mashyuu stood up straight and lifted his hammer straight out. Sparks of electricity blasted out from the hammers head, slamming into one Werewolf, then aching out from there and hitting two more, causing the three to convulse and drop to their knees.

Seeing his opening at the front of the group Mashyuu charged, his feet kicked up dirt and grass, hammer dragging behind him as he tensed up his arm and lifted the weapon with ease. Mashyuu swung the hammer underhand and smashed the head of it into the snout of a downed Wolf, then twisted on his left heel and drove the hammer straight, slamming the hammer into the snout of a wolf that was drawing on him. Soon all the wolves in the area had started to surround Mashyuu and the Earth Slayer couldn't help but go wide eyed with joy. He lived for this. Tapping into the power of the Ice Dragon that resided in his hammer Mashyuu unleashed a chilling aura, not powerful but effective at slowly harming everything around Mashyuu and slowing them down in the process as the blue iced aura washed over the Werewolves.

They are surrounding you... Ux warned. I see that, don't worry I've got a plan. Mashyuu thought back as a Wolf started to jump over the others. Mashyuu let his hammer go for a moment and clapped his hands together. He swiftly placed them on the dirt ground and called out. "Fang of the Earth Dragon!" Hes shouted. Blasting everything in a four meter burst with spiked pillars of stone, knocking the wolves through the air like they were bowling pin's and causing four of the Wolves to start bleeding hard from the sudden strike.

Before any of the Wolves could figure out what was happening Mashyuu grabbed his hammer and flew up into the sky by harnessing the power of the Sky dragon that resided inside the hammer along with the other Draconic spirits. Mashyuu didn't go high enough to draw attention to Jiyu and Hoseki, only going far enough to not be caught in a surrounded state. Deciding to get a good hit on everyone Mashyuu flew to the center of the swarm of wolves who were starting to attack one another. His gloves started to leak stones from a magical portal in the palms of the red and black gloves. Focusing his magical power Mashyuu let the stones fly up around him and dart around. "Earth Dragon's Hail of Stone!" His voice echoed out and blasted all the wolves with pelting stones repeatedly, making them howl with pain and spread out instead of forming their strange and rabid mosh pit.

Every story had it’s moment of truth, actually they had several of them, but for Jiyu the start of the fight never served that purpose. When something started, she was in control, calm and collected, able to think perfectly. However when time went on during any given task, her moment of truth came in the eventuality she could and may just lose control over herself, fighting against her own demonic instincts, that was Jiyu’s moment of truth and it had yet to be reached. None of that mattered right now, at the moment they were actively engaged in combat and she had to focus on their opponent's, lest she fail at this job, yeah that was something Kazehime was not willing to do! One of her few solid goals in life was becoming one the Wizard Saints, she had promised her mother that her final letter would only be read on that, Jiyu really wanted to read that letter. The girl could not fail to complete missions, because that would get in the way of her ambition, one of the very few she had. “Well isn’t he self sufficient.” considering she was high up on hosenki, kept safely away from the actual fight, the witch felt safe to regard the fight with a degree of study, observing his fighting tactic and sketching out a more defined plan than the one they’d started out with. “Looks like he’s going to be doing most of the damage.” with him so close to the wolves it had to be that way, if she attacked right now, he’d surely be caught up in it, damaged by the attack as well. “I’ll just have to look for an opening.” it was mused as she leaned forward on the dragon so he’d fly slightly lower, using the tree’s as disguise, the subtly closer range being her tactic to try and get her own hits in without bringing harm to the slayer.

The wind user drew an arrow from her quiver, bringing its tip to her lips for a quick kiss, one that ended up being too strong, leaving a river of blood down her lip. Jiyu paused her moves to wipe the blood away, to ensure she did not trigger her blood state too early, before she finally resumed what she had been doing.“Explosive Breeze.” mashyu jumped up and she took the chance swiftly, letting the arrow go from her bow, striking the ground in the middle of the fight. Jiyu would have prefered to use tornado field, given the current state of the wolves it would prove very effective, they’d move and get damage again for sure, but that was the issue, she had no way of knowing how long Mashyu would be up! If she had used the other arrow, than he could have gotten caught in the second shock of sorts from it.

Finally the wolves were spread out, and she took the chance, directing Hosenki to swoop low through the group, her fingers tapping the air as they went. “Hunter’s shot.” her finger made the motion of firing some sort of gun, the result being a quick strike of air bullets to several of the wolves. “Woah!” as she made her move, the dragon she was on fired a beam from his mouth, leaving her slightly shocked since she had not known he could do that. “Pretty cool~” swiftly they were up above the crowd again, out of the range of the werewolves

    Notes:

As Jiyu and Hoseki flew through the crowd after she launched an arrow Mashyuu called out to Hoseki. "Hit em with a roar, then head to the next group and slow them down so I can recover and get ready for the next battle!" Mashyuu called out. Hoseki nodded his head and drew a sharp breath before releasing a prismatic beam from it mouth. It bounced around hitting every Werewolf in a seventy five meter spread and knocked them all over. Mashyuu flew to look at the group and landed on the ground while Hoseki flew up into the sky again. "Mashyuu will finish them, lets get to another group." Hoseki added.

Mashyuu planted his feet firmly as the beasts started to get to their feet while Mashyuu drew a deep breath and a magical seal formed around his mouth. "EARTH DRAGON'S ROAR!" He shouted and exhaled the breath. A massive cone of sand and stone whirled out and slammed hard into each of the Werewolves, cutting and bludgeoning the wolves and knocking them out from the simple spell that took Mashyuu months to learn. He grinned and dropped down, eating dirt and rock, replenishing his magical power for the next battle to come.

Off in the distance a massive dust cloud rose up and howls shook the sky for a moment. Mashyuu narrowed his eyes and looked up to Hoseki and Jiyu while half the smoke cloud broke away to go after the two, trees launching up to try to knock Hoseki out of the sky. In the mean time the second group rushed Mashyuu. Thirty larger Wolves came into the forest and started to growl at Mashyuu. The Earth Wizard frowned and shrugged his shoulders. "It can't be helped I guess. Rise Earth Dragon's Golem!" Mashyuu called out. Next to him Mashyuu reached down and scooped up a clump of earth, he blew on the earth and let it fall to the floor, letting it rise up and expand into a massive golem the way his mother use to do.

The golem glanced at Mashyuu and the Earth Wizard gave it the mental command to attack and protect itself the Werewolves. Mashyuu and the Golem rushed into the hoard and began to attack. The Golem slammed it's morning star into a Wolf, knocking it aside and through the air. In the mean time Mashyuu hoisted his hammer and swept the magma spewing weapon across the face of the first Werewolf Mashyuu came across, he dropped the hammer and ducked a claw swipe and kicked the head of the hammer, driving the hammer into the gut of the wolf and caused it to stumble backwards. Without saying a word Mashyuu opened his palm and a spray of dirt and lose rocks launched out and smacked into a cone of fifteen Werewolves, making them growl and spread back a bit, only to be blind sided by a massive morning star. One of the beasts jumped up onto the back of the Golem while another grabbed it's leg and tried to topple the beast. Annoyed the Golem reached down and tossed the Wolf on it's leg away with little effort, still letting the beast on the Golem's back naw away. Mashyuu ran up behind his golem and slammed his hammer into the Werewolves back. Mashyuu swiftly spun around as the Wolf fell and unleashed a blast of electricity from his right arm, blowing back another wolf before it could take a chunk out of Mashyuu's back with a lethal claw.

With a wolf at the back of the Golem and laying still the Golem turned around and smashed it's weapon straight down into the skull of the wolf, repeatedly until on a back swing it's weapon hit another wolf. Annoyed it turned around and kicked a Wolf who tried to break up the beating. It picked up the dead beast and swung it around into another Wolf, breaking bones from the force of it's swing while Mashyuu jumped forward and slammed his foot into the neck of another Wolf. The monster fell to it's knees only to have Mashyuu send a series of rapid left hand strikes into the top of the Wolves snout. It howled in pain and fell to it's back. Mashyuu's ears twitched from the sound of many breaths inhaled at once and he spoke mostly to himself. "Secret Art: Earth Dragon's Sand Form." Sand and soil rolled up around Mashyuu and as the Wolves unleashed their howls Mashyuu burst into sand and avoided the terrible effects of their howls, Mashyuu's Golem however wasn't so lucky as it exploded and crumpled to the ground, leaving Mashyuu alone for the time.

Confused the Wolves tried to understand what just happened until Mashyuu reformed behind the wolves and pointed to the ground between a clump of wolves. They all turned to face the clump confused as it rolled around and suddenly sprang up with a sharp spike into the leg of one Wolf. "Secret Art: Earth Dragon's Exploding Spike!" The spike lit up a dull brown then exploded hitting everything close by with shrapnel and doing even more damage to the wolf the spike had stabbed.

Mashyuu took a step back and jumped, his hammer carrying him high into the air as he pointed it at the group and fired off a blast of electricity that sprang forward and shocked a total of three Wolves with intense electricity. Even after all of that only a few wolves were actually down for the count, and some of the wolves were starting to run up trees, eyes locked on Mashyuu with the intent to kill. "...Damn, these guys are way tougher than the others. I don't know if I can take em all like this. Plus there are the ones that Jiyu and Hoseki are dealing with. At least she has his shield." Mashyuu mused to himself and flew up high, only to have a tree smash into the small of his back and take him out of the sky.

Post by Jiyu Kazehime 14th September 2016, 9:07 pm

Jiyu had been fairly shocked that the young dragon had been able to let out such an attack, she really had next to no experience with dragons. Tonight was a learning experience with a new species, one she doubted this would be her last encounter with, yet this was also a fight for the survival of numerous people, all contained within a battle most of the country did not know was taking place! That was when she realized the sad part of all this, she might not get noticed for what she was doing on this night, it was hero worthy action, and yet there might be no recognition. Of course that fact only hurt her because she wanted to be a wizard saint and you needed to be extremely well known for that to happen, your acts had to touch everywhere. Whelp after this she’d be taking more out of country jobs or something, anything that seemed heroic enough to help with her final goal! Tonight however she had to focus back in, this was not an event she could afford distraction within, her mind starting to slow down, so she could reign it back into the only thoughts she needed tonight, how to defeat these werewolves. “Got It!” it likely wasn’t exactly directed at her, but as Mashyu spoke about keeping the next group busy, Kazehime still spoke up and let him know she had heard, was on the task. “Let’s go then~” By now she had gotten used to shifting her weight around and shifting around to direct Hosenki, so their race off to the next hoard was far swifter than their race to the first swarm had been.

Mostly, this seemed to be fun to the sorceress, which was odd because she’d taken no pleasure in her tasks like this, at least not before she awoke her demon blood. Yet, she had already stopped questioning why bringing harm to others had suddenly become enjoyable, such carelessness was likely a mistake, yet she had done it, with ease. In the future that was liable to backfire on her, but for it mattered not. Tonight was all about pressing forward, making sure she’d be able to survive somehow if a war or something actually took place in her lifetime. On this night she had to prove to herself just what she was capable of, because she had someone else to prove it to as well.

“Shit.” they had managed to distract the wolves for a few seconds, however as the dust exploded she finally noted half the swarm had been lost, likely making their way towards Mashyu, yet there was no way she could fight through them to reach him. Even though they were fighting together, supposed to have each other’s back, there was not any easy way for her to get past these wolves and get to him! Everytime she tried to direct their flight in the goal of locating him to aid the slayer, they got cut off by raging wolves jumping up in the air. ”Can you sucker’s at least stay on the ground?!” she fumed it at the wolves while they lunged upwards, snapping their jaws and swiping their claws. Having air space invaded by canines with no affinity for the wind, it was starting to tick her off, it was the first straw. This time though she just tossed a stone she had picked up the last time she was on the ground, for gauging distance, tossed it, to get an idea of how far up she really was, if she needed to descend to attack. The strangest thing, they didn’t seem to realize she threw it when one of them got hit in the head, it blamed the two beside it! “They can’t think logically….” she trailed off as she directed the dragon to help her gather more stones, so she could try a new method of fighting, one that involved much less chance of injury to herself. “If I’m right….” she gulped and tossed a few more rocks, sure enough each struck wolf blamed it’s neighbor for striking it, not noticing the small stones. This might just be one of their paths to victory, the wolves were fighting each other, entirely unfocused on the wind user now. “Come on, we have to let Mashyu know about this.” it was whispered so the wolves would not hear, setting off once more.

They’d likely have to deal with her horde of wolves later, but for now they were distracted and she could let her partner know how to distract the wolves too! Letting the creatures thin themselves out could be useful. Kazehime arrived just in time to see him slammed to the ground by a tree, and tossed a stone into the back of that wolves head, the effect being the same as it had been before, its attention turned onto its former ally and off Mashyu. This wouldn’t get them out of the fight, but she knew it would be good enough to buy them cool down time, get Mashyu able to  refill, so she kept chucking stones from above.

Something felt like it was climbing up her back the whole time, as if there was something that would ruin something tonight. They were, at least Jiyu was, forgetting about an Alpha and Omega so to speak wolves, beasts more dominant and intelligent than these.

    Notes:

Mashyuu fell to the ground with a hard thud and laid still for a moment until a Werewolf started to stalk forwards towards the Earth Slayer and Jiyu made the save with a solid stone being slammed into the back of it's head, drawing the attention of the monster. It whipped around and glared at the other wolves in the pack. It growled and jumped into the pack, causing a fight that started to break out through the crowd. Mashyuu rolled up onto his feet and looked up at the woman and waved to her as a way to say thanks and that he had it from here. His left hand came up his palm opened wide. The ground swelled up under Mashyuu's palm and lifted up to form a large fist. "Earth Dragon's Stone Fist." He muttered. He pushed his hand forward and caused it to rush forward and slam into a large group of the Wolves, knocking three of them out with almost no effort.

Annoyed with the Earth Slayer two of the wolves decided that fighting among each other wasn't the best idea. Instead they rushed forward and caused Mashyuu to turn and run to put some distance between them and the horde of wolves fighting with one another. The Earth Wizard dipped and dove between a small clump of trees and started to get out of the way of the wolves until the pair darted around the trees and cut Mashyuu off. He slipped to a halt and lifted his hammer to use the head in order to block the strike of one Wolf while his left leg lashed out and slammed into the thigh of a Wolf, it didn't cripple the beast but did cause it to hobble backwards and give him some space. A blue aura of cold ripped out and washed over the Wolves, doing a little harm to them and slowing the pair down.

Mashyuu jabbed his hammer into the gut of the monster like Wolf, doubling it over and making the beast stagger backwards only to have Mashyuu's hammer swing up like a golf club into the jaw of the beast and knock it over. Mashyuu jumped over the monster and superman punched the still standing monster in the eye, dropping it backwards in an effortless blow. Dirt and lose sticks shot up and trailed behind Mashyuu as he took off into the forest to try and keep the others moving to keep the wolves chasing him and out of the small village. Mashyuu ducked at the warning of Ux, a large boulder flew over head and crushed a tree that was roughly five meters away from Mashyuu. The Slayer jumped in the air, his right hands fingers curled into a claw like fashion and he twisted around in the air to face his foes. It looked like the horde had stopped fighting and were going to battle Mashyuu again. "Gotta slow them down." Mashyuu muttered while he soared through the air. He pulled his right hand up and dropped his down, creating a shock wave of four slashes through the air. "Earth Dragon's Talons!" He shouted. The shock wave smashed into the monsters, knocking a small clump of them down, but causing even more of them to topple over the clump Mashyuu knocked over.

Coming down to stick a landing and roll backwards with his momentum. He kicked up, spun around and let sparks fly off his body while he corkscrewed through the air and tossed a bolt of golden thunder through a line of the wolves, knocking them over and making them convulse in pain. The man continued sprinting through the forest while letting his hammer recharge power, understanding that he needed to use things that wouldn't use any of his magical power in case one of the larger beasts ended up showing up. He drew a sharp breath and stopped in a deep cluster of trees that wouldn't easily be uprooted. It was time to finish off these beasts and get down to brass tacks. His left arm lit up in a silver light and two chains dropped from where his hand once was. "Iron Dragon's Spiked Chain." He grumbled and waited.

Wolves, a much thinner heard started to approach the Wizard and stopped when they saw him with a hammer in on hand and spiked chains in the other. "Come one puppies, lets do this so I can go home. I wanna see my daughter." The Wolves all started to howl and snarl before five rushed forward to fit into the small cluster of trees. Mashyuu lifted his left arm and wrapped a chain around the necks of two wolves, forcing them to their knees as he took a half step back to make his chain go tight. The Wizard lifted his right leg and brought it down hard aiming at the remaining three Wolves. "Earth Dragon's Blasting Stomp!" The ground rippled out around the Wizard and stones came up then sprang out hitting, and pelting the Wolves.

The monsters scoffed and howled in annoyance when they recovered from Mashyuu's strike of solid stones. Harshly he yanked his spiked chains back, ripping through the flesh of the necks of the Wolves and dropped them, not dead but gasping for air. The Earth Slayer waited until a pair of wolves were upon him then vanished by transforming into a bolt of lightning and jumped high into the air before reforming. He lifted his hands and hammer high over head and dropped down hard, catching a wolf in the head and knocking it out cold as he landed on the ground then swang his hammer backwards and made the weapon erupt with lava and knocking yet another wolf out cold. Mashyuu chuckled under his breath and held the hammer out and let sparks fly from his weapon that arched out to slam into the three standing wolves, knocking them out with a single bolt. "Maybe I should have gone and found an electric dragon hehe."

Post by Jiyu Kazehime 20th September 2016, 12:23 pm

She had managed to very helpful with this fight after all, honestly she was always concerned when going into battle with others, concerned that they would see her as useless because she could not partake in the closer form of combat. Occasionally she also guessed someone might tell her that she fought dirty because she fought from such distances. Yet the wind user could never change the way she combated with or against people, trying to use any other method would likely lead to her demise! So she took great pride and pleasure when she could potentially save the life of a comrade without getting close to the actual fight. Jiyu would go home pleased tomorrow, because she managed to aid him greatly tonight, at least in her own opinion. Who would think that werewolves who were half of a pack animal, would be so easy to make turn on each other, normally she’d assume it was possible due to their human parts, but tonight they were feral, it shouldn’t have worked in her opinion. Kazehime would not question luck, gazing down and watching Mashyu as he signaled he had the rest of this, so she gestured his dragon to follow after him, since she’d taken care of her part. Hopefully she could help out again, and even if it was found he no longer would need any aid to finish this, she could watch him fight, and watching battles was always fun.

Jiyu made a mistake that could prove fatal in battle, she got extremely caught up in watching him beautifully tame the beasts by whipping them into the ground. Since she was so caught up in observing him, the wind user never sensed it coming, nor noticed that her and hosenki were a tad bit too low, they weren’t safe right now. The beast came too fast to really be countered anyway’s, an omega wolf, which apparently in this pack acted as if it was a beta, considering in the wild omega’s were normally the bottom of the pecking order, the weakest. This wolf, was anything but weak! It leaped up from the tree line, one of its clawed paws extended, slamming that appendage and it’s body weight into Jiyu. “Fuck!” the mage cussed as she felt her body attacked and her from falling through the air, eyes looking up to see the wolf falling right above her, face snarling. How she had missed his presence was beyond her, but it was clear she was engaged in the fight once more, if she did not partake, this wolf was going to kill her. Wait. She was still falling, action had to be taken or this brute would damage her again when they hit the ground, and his claws had already left a blood trail on her shoulder! As the wind attempt to help slow her fall, Kazehime covered her ears with her hands, feeling the fluffy canine ears emerge, she moved onto activating her tail which would be required for landing right, she was not done yet thought, finally connecting her heels and holding her hands together causing her paws to emerge. With her takeovers active, even while falling from the sky, she started countering the wolf, an explosion of wind surrounding him as she smirked, wind tightened around her paws and her fluffy tail, seconds before they fell to the ground with a thud and dust, she managed to strike him with a forepaw, whack him with her tail and slash with a back paw once.

Clearly the impact both animals had with the ground was painful, their bodies had caused a decent amount of dust to form, and Jiyu was the one to stand second. The wind mage was struggling to get up, push past the soreness from the impact of her weak body on the ground. “Bitch.” What had he just called her?! She felt her control slipping as soon as the omega stated that single word, she fired an arrow albeit somewhat messily with her paws, panting as she tried to keep distant between them. Luckily? He charged like she thought he would, and was held up by the tornado’s exploding around him. At this point she was between two choices, engaging him or screaming for mashyu to do something about her opponent, she could not do the second because of her pride, first off she didn’t ask for help, the second part was that this wolf looked like he was challenging her directly. The scent of blood flowed into her nose and the wind user crawled forward to one of the wolves already brought down by mashyu, eyes dilating at the sight of blood coming from a puncture wound on it, her head tilting down and lapping up some of the blood with her tongue. Now even if she got carried away, it should be alright, hopefully. Jiyu did not even bother standing up on her hind paws, she was capable of it, but at this point she wanted to fight this way, on all fours like the werewolf, fairly. Two dominant personalities in one territory? It didn’t work, one of them had to be taken down, and she did not intend on being the one to go down! Lifting one paw she caused her wind blades to pour out within the tornado storm she had started, thought they vanished quickly enough, it did what she wanted. “Submit!” she snarled the word as she leaped forward, aiming to pin him down, but after her two still wind surrounded paws struck him, the male kicked her off. The wolf snarled at her, and she barely got up in time to avoid being struck by him once more. Even though he had been struck by her aura, he showed minimal signs of fear, Kazehime came to the conclusion he was stupid as she rolled away from the larger canine. Pointing one paw she struck him again, this time with a ball of wind that looked like a mini tornado.

He still refused to stay down, and this time he got his claws into her once more, cutting open her other shoulder, making movement more difficult. Now? She had to throw everything she could at him in an attempt to bring him down before he could bring her down, they were both on their last legs anyways. “Eat this fleabag!” she slashed one paw out, causing a wind blade to cut at him, closing her paw afterwards to trigger wind cloak, taking another chunk of health from the beast. Striving for the last of her energy she activated hurricane paw, surrounding her paws with wind once more, letting him lunge at her. Once he bit into her flank, she battered him  with her paws, taking the last from him. “Fuck.” one word came from her as she collapsed next to the unconscious wolf.

Jiyu’s mind was beginning to clear as she lay there on her back panting, chest heaving drastically with each breath. What had just happened to her, the canine slowly forced herself to sit up, but she was clearly weakened, a good deal of her health taken alongside her magic being almost completely drained, she had used pretty much every spell she had to end that fight. “I have no idea why I did that.” it would have been wiser to run and hide behind Mashyu, but she had taken the wolf herself, won too, despite how hard the victory had been to obtain. “Sorry about that.” she slowly sat up, looking over at the tall man from her crouched position. “I spent every offensive spell I had to use.” at first she tried to walk over on all fours, but the wounds on her shoulder’s pained her too much, so the inu stood onto her hind legs, stumbling weakly over to the dragon slayer and his dragon. “So hopefully there’s no more of them.” she laughed slightly, trying to make light out of something that frankly had scared her half to death. Why had she wanted that werewolf to herself so badly until he went down? She had to figure it out, or something like this would happen again, she couldn’t afford that. Although everything had been decent in her opinion, until he got his jaws into her flank, because now her side was bleeding rather heavily. She would get treated when she could.

    Notes:

The remaining Wolves backed up, sensing that a fight was not something they could win. Mashyuu smiled wide and watched the as the beasts started to spread out carefully. Mashyuu's blue eyes glittered with joy, seeing all these wolves fade into the shadows, the sun would be up soon and the crisis would be over. But the sound that came from the forest made Mashyuu's hair stand on end. Whatever was out there was something he didn't want to deal with, it was something that was stronger than the others and something that would put Mashyuu to the test. From deep in his chest an animal like growl started to rumble up and fall from his lips like a fountain of water.

A massive beast, covered in golden fur stepped out of the shadows, moonlight hit the wolf and glittered down on him while the Wolf tilted it's head and started to stalk around Mashyuu. The Slayer barred his teeth while the massive beast snarled and let his fangs drip with a venom like fluid that hit the ground and burn it at his feet. The wolf pulled it's arm back and Mashyuu knew exactly what was coming. The creature swiped it's claws at Mashyuu's head from a distance. Mashyuu dropped to his knees and felt a shock wave from the force of the wolves claws shatter a small group of trees behind Mashyuu. He swallowed hard out of concern and by the time the spit went down his throat a knee slammed into Mashyuu's face, sending him flying backwards, skipping off the broken tree trunk and into a small field of tall grass.

The Earth Wizard felt his stomach churn with pain and a throbbing in his head he had never felt before. The Wizard could feel his eyes rolling around in his skull while he rolled onto his hands and sprang up in order to collect himself. It moved you, how do you feel about that? Ux asked and Mashyuu's face twisted in annoyance at the rings spirit in his head. "If you aren't going to help then can it. I need you at my side for this, that thing has super strength and when he hit me I dropped the hammer." Mashyuu snapped while his arms came up in a boxing manner. As spry as he could be the Slayer started to bounce on the balls of his feet while watching the Wolf. He needed to keep himself ready to move at any given time.

The golden Wolf hunched itself over hard and flung needles of gold at Mashyuu and the Wizard twisted around and dropped to a knee, letting his jacket protect him from the magical ranged attack. In the same motion he came back up and found himself face to face with the large wolf that seemed to be smiling at Mashyuu and his quick thinking. Mashyuu flexed his arm hard and sent his balled up fist straight up into the jaw of the Wolf. It's teeth clattered together for a moment and water came out of it's eyes for a half second as it's foot moved back and it reached out, grabbing Mashyuu by the neck, using his own weight to keep itself upright.

The Wolf squeezed Mashyuu's throat and twisted, hurling Mashyuu through the air like a discus. He whistled as he soared through the sky, his life flashed before his eyes for a split second before he twisted himself and started to fall. "I'm alright, I won't fall and splat." He whispered. The Wizard opened his palms as he started to get close to the ground and tossed stone and dirt from his hands and let it wrap around the Wizard like a shell. The Earth Wizard dove into the ground and started to swim, he could feel the shell he had wrap around himself get shattered by the Golden Wolf. Mashyuu frantically swam through the earth and came up where his hammer was, picking it up and throwing his right arm forward. A lance of crackling and golden lightning reached across the field of battle and slammed into the wolf, blowing it backwards but doing almost nothing to the monster, making Mashyuu frown with annoyance and anger. "Damn it... This thing is tough. I hope Hoseki and Jiyu are alright." Mashyuu whispered under his breath but was worried to look back over his shoulder to check on his friends. If he did the wolf might actually make a surprise attack. The Werewolf twisted it's neck and cracked bone while chuckling deep and low in it's throat. "Is it aware of what it's doing? Not mindless like the others?" Mashyuu asked with concern while he started to swing his hammer around to get some momentum behind his hammers swing.

The Wolf rushed Mashyuu and tried to grab the Earth User. He stepped back a pace and dropped his hammer down hard, on the beasts shoulder. It yelped and jumped back, darting into the woods and running around in hard circles, watching Mashyuu, and getting ready to attack. "Can you sense him? I can hear him but he moves to fast to pinpoint. I don't know if I'll be able to make an accurate attack unless you can help me out." He swallowed for a moment and readied himself for an attack. When it gets close I'll warn you. This shouldn't be an issue. Ux assured Mashyuu calmly. Suddenly a tree exploded hard and the Wolf man erupted at Mashyuu at a speed the Slayer couldn't even manage to track. Ux warned Mashyuu to twist and strike. The Earth Slayer spun around and jammed his hammer out in time to catch the Wolf in the neck with the head of his hammer and send it sliding and skipping across the ground, coming to a sudden stop at the base of a tree. "Heh, I think we got em. That wasn't so hard after all." Mashyuu quipped and started towards the beast until he felt a tremor in the ground. Suddenly the Wolf man kipped up and howled while rapidly slashing the air towards Mashyuu's direction, forcing the Wizard to take up defensive actions as fast as he could.

Shock waves of claw movements rocketed at Mashyuu, the Slayer slipped to the left and right, the force of the swings barely missing him as he twisted around, if not for his Slayer senses and his ring, Mashyuu would have been killed on the spot by the flurry of attacks. Mashyuu stopped and took deep, ragged breaths as his shoulders slumped forward and his jacket slipped almost off his arms. Are you alright Mashyuu? Ux asked while Mashyuu activated the healing power in his hammer, sealing up some wounds he had been given from the first flurry of attacks the Gold Wolf had attacked Mashyuu with. "I'll live, and I still have a few tricks up my sleeve." Mashyuu smirked and let his hands clench for a few moments.

The Wizard dropped down and placed his fists against the ground, letting dirt, rock and soil wrap tightly around his forearms and hands creating gauntlets. Normally he would use these to bash something in the face but he decided to use them as a close range shield to test the strength of the golden wolf's claws. He wouldn't have time to activate Dragon Force so it was time to use a spell he rarely used but found a use for from time to time. "Wisdom of the Earth Dragon." A soft brown light erupted around Mashyuu, small scales grew out of his body and his life force flooded with power. "Oh yeah, it's on." Mashyuu whispered.

A burst of power exploded out of Mashyuu's body and he vanished from the spot he was standing at. The Golden Wolf went slack jawed with how fast Mashyuu had suddenly moved until a lava hot hammer slammed up into it's jaw, knocking it's head up, and staggering it backwards. It tried to catch itself but Mashyuu's hammer came back and jabbed it in the throat four times in a row before a boot slammed so hard into the abdomen of the Golden Wolf that it shot up into the air and folded as it crashed through a tree and cracked a large boulder near that tree. "I know you can understand me. Now give up before the sun rises and I'll let you go back home without turning you into the Magic Council for turning so many into mindless drones." Mashyuu warned the beast. Softly the Wolf man whimpered and felt it's dark eyes roll back into the front of it's head while it shook the stars out of it's vision.

Teeth shot out of the Wolf's mouth as it started to growl and pull itself out of the rock. The beast twisted around and grabbed the boulder, tossing it straight at Mashyuu's face. The Wizard started to laugh and opened his mouth, catching the boulder and taking rapid bites out of it, mowing through the boulder and restoring a bit of his magical power. Two halves of the boulder slammed down on the ground next to Mashyuu. Just as they hit and the tremors rippled through the ground he darted at the Wolf, only to have the Wolf slash down on Mashyuu's shoulder. It took just a split second but Mashyuu managed to bring both his arms up and watch as the wolf's claws ripped through his arms protection, crumbling the stone and making Mashyuu roll with the impact to avoid being crushed under the force of his foes strike.

Using the imposed momentum on Mashyuu's body, the Wizard rolled under the Wolf's strike sprang up on his toes, whipped around to look at the Wolf and pointed at the ground below the wolf. "Earth Dragon's Secret Art: Exploding Spike!" The ground swelled up under the Wolf and started to jump up, however the Wolf managed to pull it's leg up before it was impaled by Mashyuu's spell. What the Wolf wasn't ready for was for the spike to explode under the Wolf, blowing it off it's feet and to the ground. Mashyuu landed in front of the Wolf and smashed it's hand hard with his hammer, crushing the bone in the Wolf's hand, making it cry out in agonized pain.

Feeling shame for being beaten so badly by Mashyuu so suddenly after having an upper hand the Wolf grasped a clump of dirt while Mashyuu hoisted his hammer up with incredible strength. Suddenly the dirt in the Wolf's hand hit Mashyuu's eyes, stunning the Wizard. Ux shouted out a warning but in a panic, causing Mashyuu to step right into a heavy claw swipe across the left side of his ribs, shredding through part of his jacket and his flesh. Mashyuu twisted with pain and grabbed his side, even with his Iron Dragon Slayer advantage he felt the pain from the Wolf's strike burn his flesh. "...If the bite is worse than that it's no wonder people are transforming. Shit..." He groaned until a claw wrapped around Mashyuu's neck and hurled him into a half of the boulder that had hit the ground a few moments ago.

Mashyuu smashed into the rock and bounced off of it, folding in half and dropping to the ground with a dazed look on his face while he dropped the hammer he held next to him. Slowly Mashyuu rolled over and let out a gasp of silent pain while blood poured from his wounds. His hand grabbed up a large clump of dirt, rubbing it on the wounds in his side and activating a special skill he had picked up, healing his wounds a little but not to the power his hammer would have healed. Mashyuu swiftly kipped up as the Wolf rushed him. The Earth Wizards right arm balled up into a fist and delivered a massive blow to the Wolf's solar plexus, driving the beast back to give Mashyuu some distance on the monster so he could regroup and try a different attack pattern. "Man you aren't kidding are you? You might be the toughest thing I've fought since I became A rank. I really don't want to hurt you but I'm gonna need some of your fur at the very least so I can prove that I took you out." Mashyuu half joked, but knowing that he would surely take a tuft of the fur when all was said and done.

With a straight arm fist driven right into the monsters shoulder the Wolf howled in agonized pain and snarled at Mashyuu, trying it's best to figure out where the strength Mashyuu had called on was coming from. It didn't make any sense to the monster how it's foe was able to simply attack with such strength when moments ago and for flashes during the fight the Wolf was very much beating the ever living hell out of Mashyuu. The overpowering scent of blood should have been pouring through the air but the man seemed to be able to heal wounds almost as fast as the Wolf had opened him up with the claws on the Wolfs hands. For the first time the Wolf decided to speak, a low growl coming from it's injured throat. "You are very powerful. It will be my pleasure to rip the throat out of your neck and feast on it! Soon you will feed my family!!!" The monster shouted out and snarled darkly.

The brown haired Wizard looked up and down, eyes watching for a sign of attack that would surely come from the Wolf. He was sure that he would end up using more magic than his body would be able to muster during the fight, pushing himself past his limits and into a terrible situation where he would end up relying to much on his signature spells and his magical gear like the hammer and his now ripped jacket. The Wolf King would pay for ripping the jacket. Mashyuu's muscles started to flex and bend in a strange manner as he readied himself for a real fight, this would likely be the last burst of attacks either of the combatants would be able to muster before on fell.

Both combatants charged, the Wolf King leaping up in a straight line while Mashyuu dropped down and slid like a baseball player moving for a home base. The Wolf slashed it's claws out and down at Mashyuu while he in turn lifted his hammer and deflected the strike with a swift motion, batting the claws away. Both fighters came to a stop and twisted around, Mashyuu on his feet and a hand, while his hammer lifted up, the Wolf on all fours, trotted around and started to dig it's paws into the earth below, gaining traction in order to prepare for the next set of attacks.

Once the two locked eyes the pair moved in to attack again, this time not making passing strikes but deciding on meeting in the middle and starting a close range brawl. However Mashyuu wasn't a fool, instead he lifted his finger and let a stone fly up to it. A moment later he pulled his finger back and let the stone launch from the tip of his finger to catch the wolf hard in the shoulder, making it yelp in agony. The attack made the Wolf miss his claw strike and feel Mashyuu's knee jamming into it's lower maw, flipping it over and making the Wolf hit the ground hard. Whimpering the Wolf Man crawled about and rubbed it's head on the ground and smoothed out it's ears on the dirt ground. "Bah! I cheap tactic, you will regret doing that Mashyuu." The Wolf stated, making Mashyuu tilt his head from the comment. How did it know his name unless. "What elder are you?" Mashyuu demanded to know.

Slowly the Wolf got up and snickered with an echoing howl. "Ha ha ha ha ah ha ha! Oh you're a clever one. And here I thought you were a little too dense to put things together so swiftly. Well if you can survive until sunrise you will find out I suppose." The Wolf man mocked the Dragon Slayer. Not amused Mashyuu narrowed his eyes and whipped his hammer around, pointing the hammer at the Wolf man and unleashed a massive blast of electricity from the head of the hammer and hitting the Wolf in the chest. Sadly without a second or third place to go the bolt of electricity wasn't as powerful, but still did a healthy amount of damage to the Wolf Man.

Just as the bolt of electricity slammed into the Wolf Man, he stepped forward, his golden fur crackling with electricity as he silently snarled and absorbed the blast as if it hadn't even hit him to begin with. Mashyuu took a step back, trying to keep the same distance on the Wolf that was there moments before. The Wizard lifted his left hand and waited as the Wolf Man decided it was time to attack. The moment it lunged at Mashyuu the Wizard focused on the ground directly under his palm and spread his fingers. A blast of earth launched forward in a cone like shape, slamming into the Wolf and doing little to hurt him. Still it stung enough to give the Wolf some pause. That was the chance that Mashyuu needed, his left arm came up and slashed down in a vertical slashing pattern.

"Iron Dragon's Kunai!" He called out and launched an iron throwing star from his forearm and smashed the throwing star into the Wolf Man's shoulder that he had struck earlier with a straight armed fist. Again the strike didn't do much to the Wolf Man but the bleeding it caused was what really did the trick and why the spell was worth it. It was the slow acting injuries that would actually give Mashyuu the best chance at beating monsters like this in the future.

At last the Golden Wolf was starting to look like he was slowing down in the fight, that was good news considering Mashyuu had started to slow down a few minutes ago and wasn't even sure if he was going to survive the night. Mashyuu's left hand dug into his pocket and held a small orb of stone that could enhance his magic for a split second and make a single spell more powerful than it normally was, giving Mashyuu a split second to deliver a finishing blow if he could find the opening he needed, but he needed to be in close range to do it.

Suddenly in a burst of speed the Gold Wolf lunged at Mashyuu, the Earth and Iron Wizard hoisted his hammer up behind him and lifted his left arm, calling out: "Iron Dragon's Spiked Shield!" He pushed his left arm forward and gritted his teeth as his hand transmuted into a large round shield of steel with iron spikes jutting from the face of the armor. The Wolf's clawed hand raked across the shield and bled from slashing across the spikes. Just as it recoiled the Wolf found Mashyuu's hammer driving into the bone of the Wolf's leg, cracking bone and hobbling the beast. The Wolf darted off into the woods again, trying to keep itself away from Mashyuu's close ranged attacks and attack at range.

Mashyuu could only laugh to himself as the Wolf Man ran deep into the woods, but he could smell the monsters blood and fur in the air, giving Mashyuu a good idea on where the beast was located. With a heavy ripple through the air, a shock wave of claw slashes started to com at the Earth Wizard, to counter Mashyuu slammed his shield into the shock wave, repelling the blast back the way it came. Dead silence filled the air for a long moment, giving Mashyuu a chance to inhale through his mouth and suck up a massive amount of earth into his throat and belly, restoring some of his magical power. Just as he finished swallowing his left arm, still under the effect of the spiked shield lifted up and blocked a second strike with the shield, his knees buckled for a moment s he felt the spell end and its side effect of the spell kicking in. The spikes on the shield rocketed up into the Wolf Man, ripping flesh and making the monster go wide eyed with pain as it realized what had just happened. It was too late and the Elder wouldn't survive the night. "Silver right? That's the big weakness of Werewolves. I coated my normal iron spikes in silver to rip through that thick hide of yours. You lived a long life right? Well I promise I won't kill you, but this is going to hurt a hell of a lot."

The Wolf Man hit the ground and writhed in pain, it's claws ripping at the silver that burned through it's flesh, making the beast cry out with an unnatural groan that rippled through the dark, almost morning sky. "Vile human.... How dare you.... I'll kill and feast on all you hold dear. Sabertooth Will fall at my hands, your family will coat my throat as I devour their blood!" The Elder Wolf cried out while he hit his hands and knees, letting the silver shards fall out of his flesh. Hearing the Wolf Man curse the Wizard and all he held dear, Mashyuu felt a rage that was rare indeed. Slowly he circled around the Wolf and stood behind it while his upper lip quivered with anger.

"This ends now. Good luck to you in the custody of the Rune Knights." Mashyuu warned. He lifted both hands up and focused as hard as he could on all of his magical power, putting it into one improvised spell. "Fusion Spell: Earth Dragon's Condemning Tomb!" He called out and clapped his hands before pressing his palms to the earth. The ground under the injured Wolf Rumbled just as Mashyuu let his hand dive into his left pocket and pull the orb of the world out. It pulsed with power and effected Mashyuu's improvised spell, causing it to swallow the Wolf Man, and suck him under ground. Instead of the normal compression that his spell created, the tomb released four spikes of sharp stone and stabbed at the Wolf from four different angles, harming the monster and keeping it bleeding under ground.

Mashyuu collapsed on the ground, eyes rolling into the back of his head and mouth hanging open as his spell took a toll on the Wizards body. As his spell wore off and let the Elder Wolf come up out of the ground. Mangled, beaten and barely alive the Wolf remained near motionless, the only sign of life it had was the fact that it was breathing regularly. Mashyuu reached out with his little remaining power and felt for Jiyu and Hoseki, trying to figure out if they were alright...

Hoseki swooped in low and grasped Jiyu by the shoulders after her battle with the Omega Wolf, and lifted her up high into the sky. "You did good, Mashyuu would be proud to have seen you finish the fight. Lets go get him." He said calmly and placed Jiyu to lay on his back while gently soaring through the sky just above the forest and to Mashyuu. Softly he touched down a few feet away from the Earth Wizard and waited for his friend to get close. Mashyuu slowly staggered over, creating a cane of stone and using it to support himself as he hobbled over towards the pair. "That was a hell of a fight, could have used you more than once buddy." Mashyuu joked and flopped down on the ground. Hoseki laughed at Mashyuu and placed the Earth Wizard on his back. Softly trotting back to the town as the sun started to rise...

Almost fully recovered Mashyuu used his hammer in town to heal Jiyu and smiled at her softly. "Ya did good back there. Sorry I couldn't be there to fight the Omega, I was dealing with a Golden Wolf, but I knew you could handle yourself." The Earth Wizard chuckled as the pair entered the small court room like house that held the elders, one of them missing after being arrested by the Rune Knights. After a length speech the elders awarded the pair with a single amulet that Mashyuu looked over and then looked to Jiyu. Normally he took a trinket from jobs, something to remember them but decided Jiyu had indeed earned this one. He placed it in her warm hand and closed her fingers around it. "Not all of you are bad, take over Wizards are cool in my book and you earned this one." He said, knowing that making a new ally was a reward enough in his book. "Anyway, I'm outta here babe. Take care of yourself and if you're ever anywhere near the Sabertooth Guild come look me up. If I'm around I'll buy ya a drink or something." Mashyuu gave the elders a salute and winked at Jiyu then left the group, catching up with Hoseki and taking off for home and his family...
