The Fox Thief Empty The Fox Thief

    Post by Carrots<3 7th July 2016, 12:42 am

A small fox peered around a corner. Just need to find the source of that food, get a piece, and then I'll try to find that Blue Pegasus Guild. She slowly slinked past it. Her white fur not allowing her to blend in would give away her spot if she wasn't careful. Looking around she could see that the area was heavily populated. She could smell multiple different types of meat, and assumed a food cart was near by. She knew it'd be a little risky to take food from the cart, but she was hungry. She shrugged away the thought that she was stealing, and set her mind back on the subject on hand. After turning a few more corner she spotted the food court she had smelled. She slowly approached a large food stand. Looking around she nodded to herself noticing no one saw her yet. The smell of the freshly cooked meat taunted her. She approached it, and got as close as she could before jumping on top. She snagged a small piece of meat, and ran. She quickly ate the meat while running to make sure the store keeper couldn't get it back if she were to be caught.

Looking behind herself she confirmed that the cart keeper was indeed chasing her. She knew she would have to find a hiding area. The store keeper looked very intent on catching her. "Come back here you stupid fox!" She quickly noticed a large set of doors. One was slightly opened, it'd be perfect for her to run into. Nearing the doors she quickly stepped inside the building, and peeked around the berially opened door. He didn't see her enter, and ran past the doors. Runt sighed in relief, and changed back to her humanoid form now that she was out of the mans sight.  She looked around the building trying to figure out where she had ended up.

The Fox Thief Empty Re: The Fox Thief

Looking around she would have been met with the reflective floor and the grand designed halls, statues heroes of old would have adorned both sides of it. For truth be told she was in the blue Pegasus hall, the heroes that were from the guild had their guild mark etched in the stone, though it was only noticeable if one really looked closely at the statues.

Outside the owner of the meat stand would have stood looking frustrated in front of the guild. He thought he saw the fox run into the guild, but perhaps he could have been mistaken. He would have stood there until he heard the sound of a engine approaching the guild hall, in which he turned as he saw a woman on a speeder bike slow down and stop near the guild entrance. "Hey! You a mage from the guild?!" he would have asked the woman on the bike. The woman would have taken off her helmet, revealed to be ember wolf. She heard his rather demanding question not amused by it and retorted, "Yeah, and what's it to you?!" The man softened his tone of voice and looked less annoyed at ember's reply, "Well you see, I had my meat stolen from my vendor by a gruby looking fox, and was wondering if you could help out." Ember gave the man a wary look and replied "In all honesty one piece of meat is not worth finding unless it was the size of a large sword, and unless that is the case then you shouldn't bother me about it!" The man at her response had a look of annoyed again and felt the nerve to retaliate, but instead went away to look around some more for the fox. Ember knew his kind of merchant, and their would be a good chance for him to come into the guild hall and demand something of the guild later.

But for now she could not have been bothered with it, she had done two supply trips for the guild that filled both side bags of her speeder nicknamed "dusty". One was of groceries that was meant to replace the intake that ember ate over a week while the other were pieces of wires, gears, and machinery, all for keeping up maintenance with her dusty and the occasional vehicle in the guild. She continued forward, getting off of dusty but guiding it up the stairs into the guild as it was on, giving a soft humming noise and giving off a little bit of sand as it levitated up the stairs and into the guild hall. Ember herself was grumbling though, her hunger, the need to put the supplies away, and the man that had put more time between her and meal time had made her annoyed. So much so that she did not notice the girl in white until she took a casual glance to the side and spotted her. "Hey, you in white! Come over here." she would have spoken aloud at the girl.

Runt looked about the room. It was rather beautiful, and obviously well maintained. She wondered what type of place it could've been. She realized she didn't have time to think about this when she once again heard the mans voice. She listened closely as she hid away from the slightly opened door, near one of the statues. Listening she heard one word that stood out to her, guild. She looked worriedly at the door now hearing that he was requesting a mage to help him. She sighed in relief now that the mage seemed to bluntly say no.

She stared at the woman as she walked straight in and past herself. Immediantly she saw the guild mark on her left hand. Looking around at all the statues she saw the guild mark very finely etched into every single one. She realized that this must've been the guild she had been looking for earlier before smelling the meat. She carefully would walk around the hall, holding her hands to the back of her head propping it up for comfort. She jumped in surprise when the woman had called for her. She slowly walked forward to her, with her tail swishing nervously. She neared the woman trying to keep eye contact, but every now and then it would break away. Her eyes had slightly dialated, and her pupils were now more cat like than human.

She sighed thinking that she must've known by now it was her that stole the mans meat. She knew it was wrong, but why would it matter. It's not like the mans life depended on that one piece of meat. She'd answer with a tone that would sound confident, but if she'd listen closely it'd have a nervous undertone. "Yes ma'am?" She had gotten used to calling most everyone that was older than herself ma'am or sir, they seemed to enjoy being given such a proper name.

The Fox Thief Empty Re: The Fox Thief

Ember watched the girl in white approached and a small grr came from the back of her throat at first glance of the girl in view. It was clear she was animal like, and to ember she appeared like a cat, as if she was one of those dreaded neko girls. However the closer the girl got ember didn't really think she was cat related. She couldn't really describe it, but it was as if she knew the difference from a neko and whatever this girl was by the smell alone. With that by the time the girl came close ember would have made a sound as if clearing her throat, ending the soft growl.

She would have noticed the swishing tail, how the girl reffered to ember as "Ma'am" and took it as hesitation. So ember assumed that the girl didn't want to be around her. "Look, you can't always hide from your responsibility and be lazy all day." After saying that she would have taken out a couple grocery bags from one of the side bags on dusty and handed them to the girl. They would have been made up of vegetables, bread, packaged meats and fish. Ember would have then said, "Take these over to the kitchen and make sure you put them where they belong." She would have said pointing left. She would have then grumbled a little at her hunger and would have continued past the girl with dusty and the rest of the spare parts down the hall to the workshop. She would definitely go back to the kitchen once she dropped off dusty with the cargo, and if she did not see the groceries there then their would be consequences. But then again, she could trust her own guild members, even if they were oddly like a animal and lazy, right?

She would stop looking so nervous once she had made no aquisations, and just told her not to hide from responsibility. Her tail would stop swishing, and just fall to the ground rather limply. She'd pick up the groceries, and look through them.

    Fish

She immidiantly spotted the fish inside of the bag. She yearned to take it, and suck it down quickly before the woman saw, but she knew she couldn't do so. She sighed, her ears drooping down from the aroma that fish was making inside of the room. She walked towards the small bar area, and went behind the counter stuffing all the raw meats, and vegetables into a small chiller. She'd next take the bread, and put it onto the counter over a napkin so it wouldn't directly touch the wood of the counter.

She growled towards herself slightly still smelling the fish. She could only think about the fish as she walked back. Quickly drawing away from the fish, and it's bothersomely delicious smell she walked back towards where the woman was previously. She wasn't there any more. Looking around Runt saw her disappear around a corner. Did she really just trust me alone with her food? Shrugging off the thought of the womans trust she lazily walked to one of the tables. She sat down, and her tail pulled itself onto the bench laying out on the wood. She looked around the guild, and noticed it wasn't all to active. Other than herself, and the other girl there was only a few other people.

She laid her head onto the table, and looked around with a bored expression. She loved having small adrenaline rushes like when the man was chasing her, but nothing exciting was happening at the moment. A small smirk spread across her face as she got back up from her chair, and quickly walked to where the bread sat on the counter. She cut it in half delicately, and took out the center of only one of the halves. She hid away the center in a hidden place. She'd next take the smallest fish she could find out of the chiller, leaving the larger fish. She'd take multiple napkins, and placed them inside the bottom of the hollowed part. She'd next take out the small fish, and place it on the napkins. She had everything set up so the bread wouldn't be tainted by the fish, and the extra was safely stowed away where it could be used for actual bread.

She'd then quickly push the two halves together, and returned to her table. She knew none of the food could be messed up the way she had it. She didn't want to actually harm anything. She just wanted to see the girls surprise when she cut into a hollowed out half loaf with a small fish inside. She smirked as she watched the loaf carefully waiting for the woman to return to her food.
