Hydra and Fairy vs. Mr. Hydro-Arsonist(JOB/Keiko)

Sorano's aura was even more emotionless that Sorano herself, if that was even possible. The white, shimmering thing barely paid any heed to the dragon slayer as she rushed on by, freezing the arsonist's hand. It was a great idea, but the aura knew that after a while, it would melt from the heat of the arsonist. Meanwhile, the Hydro-Arsonist's other hand directed scalding water at the too, water which the aura managed to avoid by leaping into the air, and bringing both energy-made arms down upon their opponent's head. Auric energy could be very powerful, and it was obvious that the enemy had been pained by the attack.

Jumping back, Sorano began to spar with the woman, bright, pure slashes of white energy crisscrossing her, while the woman's one free hand hurled burning water at the aura. Though it would hurt Sorano later, at the moment, the aura felt absolutely no pain. Only a dull throb in her arm even alerted her of the fact she's been hit. Of course, Aura Sorano made sure to leave special spaces for Hana to put in her own attacks, knowing the dragon slayer would want to help.

Using the other hand, the arsonist sent scorching hot water towards their way. Sorano  was easily able to avoid this and land a blow to the arsonist's head, but Hana begged to differ. After all she was...  on a lower level. Doing the only thing she could think to do, Hana went with it even though it might have made her look crazy. Hana dropped to the ground and began rolling around dodging the flying water that seemed to sizzle and sitting up when she thought it was over, but it wasn't. As a flying blob of water came crashing down towards her way Hana opened her legs into the splits to avoid them from being burnt, but even so, a few drops of water splashed her and she bit her lip trying not to make a peep as small areas of her skin became red from impact, lip bleeding in the process. Recovering quickly, Hana used the magical energybshe usually uses to make her sword but instead if a sword this time she exchanged it for five throwing knives made of ice with dry ice at the tips. Hana knew this was probably a bad idea, but she threw them all at once, aiming as if not to hi it Sorano's aura after observing that damage inflicted on the aura is also inflicted on her. Two of the knives missed, but three of them hit her target and Hana cheered especially since they didn't hit any vital places. Thebdry ice began sizzling in the arsonist. "Hmoh,how do you like a taste of your own medicine?" Hana smirked at her enemy. Excitement worry and sarcasm bubbled up inside of her.

As the ice hit, dousing the woman's flames, it also froze any water coming from her hands. As the obviously panicked villain scrambled away hurriedly, hissing in furious pain from the injury, Aura Sorano sent a thumbs up at Hana. Their Hydro-Arsonist's fire and water seemed to have been stopped by the dragon ice burbling inside their victim. The aura stood over the confused and now terrified woman. Sorano knew that the guild rules were that they shouldn't kill anyone, and that they would get more money if they turned her in alive.

So, the aura's cold, yet warm touch was surprisingly gentle as the figure carefully checked the woman over for fatal injuries, hoping that her energy attacks as well as Hana's ice daggers hadn't hurt the woman too much. To her shock, however, she found that their Hydro-Arsonist had obvious signs of a fatal wound from some other attack. "Hanabi-san, look at this," Sorano said softly, peering at a gash in the woman's side. It was obviously innfected to the point of no return, and she would die soon.

'Damage Dice' :

Hana walked over as Sorano called her over, and then that's where she saw it. The arsonist had a large gash wound on her side. "I see... the only way this could really be fixed is if we found a sky dragon slayer or the sky dragon itself...." Looking down at the woman Hana held emotions of pity and pain remembering when many other people would suffer a wound like this and just lay their dying just waiting for it. They would be moaning in pain wishing for somebody to just kill them already. Hana hummed in thought placing her finger as a chin holder. "Sorano, I know it's against the Fairy law but..." looking towards Sorano, a new emotion never seen before twinkled in her eyes, remorse and greif. "Its the kindest thing to do for her..." Hana knew that there was no way they could help in keeping the arsonist from dying but there was one thing they Could do to help with it, and that was making it faster so they wouldn't just continue laying there suffering. "Rule number six... do what's right even if it means breaking the Fairy Law..." Hana whispered to herself to calm herself down as she grabbed the sides of the confused and pained arsonist's head. Leaving room for no more comments, Hana snapped the woman's neck, a sickening crack sounding throughout the room. Tears spilt down Hana's blank emotionless face as she sat about the lifeless body. To be honest she didn't care about the EXP anymore and got up. However, when she did she picked up the arsonist and slung her over her back. "We should at least give this girl a proper grave... come on." Hana began walking away back up to the surface, a small and saddened smile crossed her face. She was happy because she knew she had ended the arsonist's pain, but then again sad that she didn't have the choice to live. Continuing to walk, Hana hummed a soft tune, one that was always sung by nature whenever there was a death in the area. A song only she could hear.

Sorano knew what her teammate meant to do the second that bright, flashing aura slowed itself down and darkened. Just the sudden switch in Hana's tone of voice signaled the dragon slayer's next actions. Sorano's expression was calm, and solemn, and she carefully covered a confused Hoshi's eyes. "S-sorano-chan, what's Akki-san going to do? What, what, Sorano-chan!"

By now, Sorano had returned to her normal body, and nodded a silent approval at her teammate. As the sickening crack echoed through the sewers, Hoshi whimpered in fear, hiding her head in Sorano's hand. The letter mage could now only attempt to comfort the exceed by radiating waves of calm energy out from Luna, which barely did anything to the shocked Hoshi. Sorano watched the tears slowly drip down Hana's face, and realized how cold and uncaring she must look, her face cold as stone and completely emotionless. But this was true, and the letter mage knew that it was for everyone's good.

Following Hana outside, she found a nice place underneath a tree, and slowly began to write out letters above the soil, waching as the earth sunk down into a hole. Once Hana placed the body inside, Sorano would let the earth rise over it again with some scribbling, and wrote out a small stone marker atop it. All it said was, "Give a second chance". Then, her final touch was a small vase she carefully made of mirror, with some flowers inside she wrote to never wilt. After merging the vase to the marker, she let Hoshi place a few flowers of her own, and step back for any contribution Hana might make.

Sorano stood, feeling oddly uncomfortable in this moment that would be so full of emotion. She looked down at Hoshi, who was sniffling, and back over at Hana, feeling oddly watched from the world.

Hana stared blankly as Sorano had made a grave for the corpse of the arsonist, and Hana gently placed the arsonist down inside. Hana continued to watch as her teammate finished the last few touches and then backed off for her teammate to do anything she might have wanted to be done. Knowing that this might be a little weird, Hana stepped up and knelt before the grave bringing her wrist before her. It was for a tradition that everybody in her past "home" would participate in even her and her twin brother whenever somebody died. Tightening her hand into a fist, Hana continued until it eventually bleed and dropped onto the grave. Looking back at Ivy, Hana kinda guessed she would have to explain herself, and so it began. "When I was young and still lived in my.... village, whenever somebody dies it was tradition to drop blood upon their grave as a sign that we would always be with them." As Hana finished, she ripped a part of her shirt and wrapped the ripped peice around her hand. "Lets go Ivy. We should probably go report in about our job."

Sorano nodded slightly, her expression still as stony as ever. Death...a natural part of the world, a part of that never ending cycle of life. Why was it so sad to normal people? Once, Sorano knew. Once, Sorano had understood all of this. Once, Sorano had sobbed over the ashes of her family. Once, Sorano's emotions had overtaken her. And this was why she had hardened her heart, locked away her emotions. Emotions werjust another hassle, another obstacle that had needed to be taken care of.

Brushing whatever odd feelings she had had aside, Sorano followed after Hana, volunteering to do any paperwork which she finished in a few seconds due to her magic. She was ratheuiet that wholim, reflecting on this oddity of a job. Hoshi was still weepy-eyed, Hana seemed less energetic... It only sense, though, after what had happened. Waving goodbye to her teammate, Sorano and Hoshi went on their way. Yet another obstacle for Sorano's emotions had been passed, according to herself. Not one sad tear had been shed in all that time.
