Liberation of Slaves

Lexa reappeared behind the men, unnoticed as a flurry of chains flew out from magic circles. Her new location was then discovered when the chains erupted from the front of the goon's heads, leaving Captain Scarlet to fight Lexa one on one. The large, ugly woman spun and lifted her revolvers with awe in her eyes as Lexa was already gone. The feeling of a small hand pressing against her side, accompanied by Lexa's face peeking over her right shoulder with a devilish grin on it, and then her world changing from the inside of a large office space, to being outside over a kilometer above her own ship. "Have a nice fall." Lexa said deviously before spinning and slamming her heel down on Scarlet's gargantuan stomach, sending her hurdling towards the deck of her flying vessel. Lexa disappeared again, reappearing only fifteen meters above the ship with a pair of wings on her back, and a seemingly bored expression on her face as she mimicked tapping her foot on the ground with crossed arms. A few seconds later, Captain Scarlet slammed into the deck of the ship and converted several of her own men into piles of broken bones and mortified screams of pain. Lexa watched as scarlet slowly moved to point her own revolver at her head, and just before she could pulled the trigger a flurry of chains erupted from her body. A chain wrapped around the arm with the gun, forcing the arm to point at the sky when the trigger was pulled, foiling Scarlet's attempt at suicide. The next wrapped around her other arm, one for each leg, and eight chains wrapping around her over-stuffed stomach. The twelve chains tightened, snapping Scarlet's arms and legs but leaving her torso in tact. The revolvers hit the ground and Lexa used the chains to hoist Scarlet into the air. "Attention all pirates!" her high pitched voice called over the fighting. On the fair end, a single male was pulled from the ship wrapped in a chain. "We've got your captain, and your first mate in chains. You get two options, stand down; or both of them die and I still take you all to Black Rose's brig!" Lexa hollered. At that moment CASSIE sent a signal off, calling for a ship to come take Lexa, Kayla, herself and the two prisoners back to Hargeon to complete the job.

Several minutes passed as Lexa waited, but noticed only a portion of the men laid down their arms. Others, caught in the heat of battle, continued to combat Kayla who was fighting back to back with C.A.S.S.I.E. in vain. A loud popping sound was heard as a flare was shot from below. Looking over the ledge, Lexa saw the ship that took them into Hargeon Port; with skippy behind the wheel. Captain Scarlet was the first to be teleported onto the ship, followed by First Mate Carver; both being bound by very powerful chains. The chains tightened, forming single coils around both prisoners that cut into them slightly, but not enough to be detrimental. Skippy made quick work to lock the chains in place with a piece of rebar, using a blowtorch to melt the metal rod in place for good measure. The horn on the boat sounded, letting Lexa know it was time to shove off. She quickly burst into a cloud of light particles and appeared next to Kayla saying "Run." with a cold, emotionless voice before bursting into light particles again and appearing on the boat. Once on the ship, directly below the floating slaver vessel; Lexa waited for Kayla to arrive. Once Kayla arrived, Lexa pulled out a tube with a red cap on it. Flipping the cap open revealed a button. Lexa offered the item to Kayla saying "Wanna light the candle?" with a suggestive childish voice, sounding like the sweetest child at a friend's birthday party. If Kayla refused the item, Lexa would push the button herself with a devious smile about her face. Once the button was pressed, the deck of the ship would explode, sending the pirate ship to the depths of the sea; killing off all the slavers besides those strong willed enough to use the corpses of their brothers as flotation devices. Lexa would then walk over to a bench in the wheelhouse and lay down, falling asleep immediately. In her sleep; Lexa seemed even more youthful than awake. Her looks were that of an eleven year old, and she seemed as though she were completely innocent and not an assassin. She would remain asleep for the duration of their boat ride back to Hargeon where the captives would be released, and their pay would be received.

Ending/Summary


Sound asleep in the boat, Lexa was unable to acknowledge anything after Kayla took the detonator from her. In her place, Skippy, the driver of the ferry, alerted the guardsmen to take the prisoners. He collected Lexa's share of the rewards and stuffed it in her shirt pocket, throwing a blanket over her and shoving his coat under her head to act as a pillow. He went and treated Kayla to a mean, using his own personal money to pay as a type of reward for Kayla surviving her first job. The guardsmen had a tough time pulling Captain Scarlet and First Mate Carver from their chain and rebar bindings, having to use hack saws to cut the rebar. They tried using the saws on the chains, but much to their dismay the saws broke on the black, dense metal. Once their prisoners were freed of the chains they realized that Lexa broke the bones in their arms and legs, making it so neither could run or kill themselves. Back at the wreckage of the large ship, a single man in a black suit was laying atop a pile of shattered wood with several dead bodies under it. The man was the same one Kayla fought and decided to spare, though Lexa would rather they all died, his will to survive and his good karma from not wishing harm on Kayla or the prisoners caused him to be the only one who would. The rest of the crew, those not killed by Lexa herself, were drug to the bottom of the sea along with the ship where they'd become chow for whatever may be lurking below. The ship would go on to become an artificial reef, along with many other ships sunk before it.
