Mashyuu and Emilia: Outbreak part 1~

Emilia had her spear down and braced for he creature's charge. She was in a perfect position at the moment. The thing wouldn't be able to touch her without her being able to stab it with Valkyerie. Mashyuu called out from behind her rather suddenly. He launched himself forward using some sort of lightning spell, probably from an enchanted item of some sort. She growled in disapproval. These weren't the tactics the duo had settled on. She ducked under the creature's first swipe and gave it a nice jab in the torso.

He appeared by her side before saying he would try to flank it, then jumped over her shoulder. Not according to plan, but at least now he'd be out of her way. She could hear him trying to harm the thing from behind, but it didn't seem to be very effective. She jumped back to avoid another swipe from both claws before charging forward for another jab, backed by her small charge, this one struck deeper. She pulled it out and made a few small slashes as she ducked and dodged around more attacks, her agility unhampered by the plates of metal that adorned her body. Another thrust, another slash, another dodge. Her deathly dance with the creature continued, the biting sting of her spear keeping it occupied with her over Mashyuu. The small size of the corridor gave the two smaller humans an advantage as they needed less room to maneuver than their opponent, which was unable to fully extend its arm to swing at them without colliding with the side of the hallway. The darkness mattered little against such a thing as it made so much noise that its attacks were relatively easy to predict. All one had to do was step back at the right times.

Mashyuu could hear the fighting Wizard jabbing at the monster and could hear flesh softly rending from the attacks. He wasn't sure how much effect the weapon was having but it had to be doing more than Mashyuu's feeble clawed slashes were. The monster stumbled backwards and Mashyuu swiftly jumped back, narrowly avoiding the monsters step. "Damn it, it's easy to get around but this thing takes up so much space!" He shouted to Emilia, wondering if she could even hear him over the monsters loud grunts and groans.

Swiftly it's elbow bent and struck Mashyuu square in the face making his nose spray blood from the sudden impact. It's open claw then stabbed at a jarring speed straight for Emilia's throat! Mashyuu grasped at his nose for a moment. He hated having his nose hit, the sudden pain always made his eyes water and caused him to sneeze. After the hard blood spraying sneeze Mashyuu glared at the beast and shouted out to Emilia in a loud voice. "Keep the thing distracted for a bit. I'm going to eat this hall!" He explained.

Twisting his body, Mashyuu dropped to his knees and slid forward some thirty feet while sniffing the ground. "I'm the only guy that eats dirt because it's good for him...." He muttered to himself and opened his mouth wide. He bit down on the earth, chewing it swiftly and swallowing. Then again, and again. The Wizard continued to do this while his body started to shift and change. Mashyuu's blue eyes shifted to a bronze color and his normally perfect hair grew slightly and started to flow in various directions. His normal tan skin started to harden and what seemed to be scales grew on his flesh. His normally nearly hidden fangs grew past his lips and his veins popped out of his body, pushing to the edge of his skin. Mashyuu stood up slowly and twisted in his position to face his foe, a bright brown light radiated off Mashyuu, ripping through the magical darkness as he entered Dragon Force.

Emilia heard Mashyuu's complaints. Emilia didn't care. If he had time to complain in a fight, he wasn't fighting hard enough. The creature slashed straight at her throat. Emi didn't bother trying to dodge it, she simply grinned as the claws raked across her neck, the points where it contacted her throat glowed a soft blue color. She was unscathed by the injury as she struck the creature again, stabbing it square in the chest, using the force of its own attack against it to plunge her spear deep into its chest. Her spear was firmly lodged inside it. She tried to pull her weapon free, but it was stuck. The tyrant swung its arms again, hoping to slash her open with ease, but with a shockwave, Emilia propelled herself backwards using ricochet, yanking the spear from the creature as she was launched backwards, avoiding the deadly claws as they tried to rake across her.

"Too slow, bitch." She said with a grin before dashing straight back in, colliding with the creature head on hard enough to send it staggering back. Still, there was a rather painful sounding crunch as her own armor was crushed a bit by the impact, as she had charged such that she would impale it and smack it with her shoulder. As it staggered back, she placed a foot on its chest for leverage in order to free her spear from the beast's body. It was a bit ironic, that the first damage Emilia actually took here was done to herself. Then again, it wasn't too surprising given what they were fighting. Large, heavy creatures that could run fast, but their actual attacks were fairly slow and predictable. For someone of her martial prowess, it was really not too hard to strike them down with weapons alone.

Things had been looking bleak for a few moments for the two Wizards and Rocky. This massive monster had been doing a good job at keeping the pair from actually managing to hit the thing. Mashyuu dropped down and started to eat the earth, desperate to get a power boost in order to help Emilia deal with the terrible monster who was doing enough to keep the pair pinned down. Mashyuu came up from the ground and snarled as a brown field of magical energy ripped through the darkness around Mashyuu. The Dragon Slayer felt like he could cast spells for a year and never run on empty. The Wizard extended his palm, open towards the monster and shouted. "Dual Stone Blast!" Swiftly he raised his other hand and from the ground two streams of rocks shot out and pelted the monster in the back, causing it to grunt in pain. The monster Sin launched from his left arm, it's teeth sinking down on the monsters neck hard. The Giant monster thrashed about, hitting the wall just above Emilia's head.

Mashyuu let his arms dangle and the ground shot up under him, hooking to his hands and forearms, forming stone gauntlets. Then his body was enveloped by dirt and he was sucked down into the stones. A small trail appeared from where he was to where he was going. The man shot up next to Emilia and Mashyuu sent a series of solid strikes to the monsters jaw in a swift motion. The monster fell back and hit the ground hard, shaking the area around Mashyuu and Emilia. The beast's chest expanded and it's heart became apparent as it pushed against it's flesh. Mashyuu was still high on the Dragon Slayers force. His sharp blue eyes darted to Emilia and he spoke in a near growl. "FINISH IT!"

Emilia held the thing at bay, actually taking a hit from the beast by the time Mashyuu had finished his little dirt snack and popped up behind the creature, distracting it with a heavy blow from behind, allowing Emi to score another hit to the face against the creature. The kid bit it right after. That was actually rather impressive, if stupid, but it seemed to hurt the thing, so Emi didn't care. Between their combined efforts, they brought the thing down. Its chest opened up, revealing the creature's heart. What the hell kind of monster was this that its heart became exposed when you almost killed it? No matter, all they had to do was murder the hell out of its heart and that should make sure it stays dead.

Emilia heard two words from the kid "Finish it". Too lazy or afraid to do the dirty work eh? Not that that mattered to Emi; she was just fine with killing things. "With pleasure." She said, letting out a chuckle as she drew Trauma from her belt and shortened Valkyrie to its minimum length. She walked over to the thing and knelt down atop it, raising her two weapons, she stabbed into the creature, with Vaklyrie's blade and Trauma's spiked handle. She thrust downward, spiking the thing's chest, then brought her weapons up, blood spurting from the things heart as she did so. She plunged them downwards, then pulled out, stabbing it over and over again, blood covering her as she let out a terrifying, gleeful laughter while mercilessly finishing off whatever this thing was. She just sat atop the thing, stabbing over and over again until the stupid heart stopped beating. It really took a rather ludicrous amount of stabbings to get the blood pump to stop pumping. With a final yell, she stabbed with both weapons at once, then channeled her force magic across them to detonate a pulse inside the heart itself, detonating it with a burst of meat and viscera that covered both Emilia and the area around her. The thing was dead, its heart burst into mincemeat. The dreadful laughter came again as Emilia rose to her feet. "That was too fun." She called out to no one in particular. "I could really go for a drink right about now." She continued before another fit of laughter, though no longer psychotic, simply laughing as one would normally after making a joke. "Though I don't think you'd like to see me when I'm drunk on this stuff."

The fight was over and Emilia dropped down to end the monsters heart. Stab after stab sent blood spraying along the ground in every direction. On her last strike Emilia sent a wave of force into the monsters heart, causing it to explode. Blood hit Mashyuu's face and the Wizard cringed for a moment. He ran his forearm over his face to wipe the blood off and glanced down at Emilia. "Well that was a crazy laugh... But hell we can get a drink" Mashyuu shot back. Even though the pair were almost completely different Mashyuu had to admit that she was interesting and the Earth Slayer had enjoyed this job for the most part... Aside from the fact that the room was strewn with dead bodies. "But we should report in and get paid before getting drinks right?"

Together the Wizards walked out of the ruins with Rocky and Mashyuu extended his hand to Emilia. "Alright that was a great job. I think we worked well together. Name the place and I'll meet you there to help you learn that magic. I'll bring the jewels too. So see ya in a few hours." Mashyuu strolled over to report about the job, explaining that there were some sort of monsters from a curse that was awoken when the men and women entered the ruins. After answering a series of questions Mashyuu was given the jewels for himself and Emilia and set off to meet up with her one last time.

While on the way, Mashyuu passed through a small forest. Rocky started to growl at something in distance. The Wizard took a deep breath of air through his nose and smelled the scent of a woman, but not Emilia. His hands extended to be ready to cast a spell. His eyes scanned the forest until he saw a figure in dark robes rushed past him and out of the forest. The Wizard waited a moment and went to meet up with Emilia...

"Aye. I know a bar in town we can go to. They've got good beer there, and decent whiskey, from what I've heard. Not that I like the stuff." She said, nodding at the comment about reporting in first. "I'll catch up in a bit. Don't think they'll let me in with this much shit on me." She couldn't see right now, but she knew for sure that she was absolutely filthy. Once they got outside, she shook hands with Mashyuu. "It's a place in the spooky forest, I'll tell ya more later." Who the hell came up with that name anyway, the spooky forest? A six year old or some joking teen or twenty something, though if it were the latter it'd probably be called the spoopy forest. Still, she told him about the bar she planned to get a drink at and meet up with him later so they could figure out when to do her training. They would meet up in a bar later, after Emi had cleaned herself up to an acceptable level for being in a bar.

Mashyuu would find Emilia had already almost finished her drink by the time he arrived. She would tell him where to go for the training and when before getting up and leaving. She had to leave rather early to go and get the weapons she would train Mashyuu to use, and something to carry them on. She wouldn't bring a whole lot of them, probably one of each of the main weapons she knew how to use, the most well-rounded ones, probably nothing too large, more for ease of transport than for his own ease. Still, she would take some heavier weapons, like hammers and maces, only one of each probably, while she could take a multitude of lighter weapons like swords. She smiled as she walked off, eager to unlock the fearsome powers used by her father.
