Find the lost Puppy! (Solo/Job)

Job:

Elyx and Ignite both had a chocolate bar in their mouth, one each. They tend to say that they would go on a diet, even of they look skinny, they should try to get rid of all the excess in the sweets that they do....tomorrow. And its always the same old story. This time, the old lady that he and Jin had to help out was just so happening to have trouble with her dog... Again. Its not like that's her fault though, in fact, it's a great learning opportunity for Ignite to help detect things. It will also chill out her nerves of going though the dark, she doesn't glow in the night anymore. We have to find some old ladies... Puppy? Doesn't that seem a little boring? The she Phoenix asked as she tilted her head. He couldn't blame her for asking that question, the first time he went on it, the job sounded like a major waste of time.Yeah... I know how you felt the first time taking it. But I know something about it will attract you. Elyx said as he handed her the flyer, waiting for her to process what he meant. Agree she scanned the paper, she just handed it back to him, giving up on even trying to solve the puzzle he gave to her. Look at the reward section, I think you'll like what you see. Elyx explained as he pointed to the jewels, and Ignites eyes then brightened. She was speechless for words, and could he blame her? The first time he saw a C rank job reward that huge, he was sprinting for the job.

Ignite just scraemed as her eyes brightened and shook, making for a very valuable moment to see her so excited. KYAAAAH! Ignite screamed to the top of her lungs, little did she know that he earned that much every time he went on a job, more or less rather. But the she Phoenix could not tell the difference since currency wasn't exactly in her mind yet, any number that looked big to her she would squeal at just the same. He tricked his own familiar and it felt great... Until she put him into a headlock and ruffled with his hair a few times. Why didn't you show me this before you idiot? Ignite asked as she let him go and kiss the paper happily, she really did love money. If she wanted, maybe she could try to become a treasure hunter like Nimpha. The two of them had to go into the Spooky Woods huh, that is not too hard considering the enemies were rather stupid... and perverted. So Ignite might have a little trouble, so he had to make sure she did not end up alone. So basically, guard her as usual. And being a human, flying would not be possible, so there really no worry. But if for some reason one of them got to Ignite in that sort of way, that enemy is dead and their brothers had better run. Also, that puppy would no longer be lost since Elyx would probably be raging as he searched, and his senses would increase. He knew the client already, o he just went directly to the woods.

So, we don't need to meet our client since I have done that last time when I went on this job. This job won;t be too hard to take care off either, I just need to warn you... the enemies are rather... perverted? Elyx explained as he then bit into the chocolate bar back into his mouth and a smile back onto his face. And that smile increased once Ignite asked her next question, it made him want to laugh about how innocent she was. What does perverted mean? Ignite asked as she tilted her head to the side. The Violinist just patted her head with his left hand, causing her to be even more confused, but he remained silent. The Puppy was going to be found and turned into its owner by noon if not any sooner. Hopefully she wouldn't mind the early coming without the arrival of the clients in the first place, but it is preferred that they find the dog instead of go to the client and get some cookies first, for two reasons. One, it would waste their time, and two, Ignite would probably go berserk again. It took a long time for the chocolate to numb the She Phoenix rather than hype her up, if a new dessert is given to her, the poor people around her will have to suffer, and the main person around her is Elyx himself. So Ignite... it seems were are here. This is the Spooky Forest. Are you up for the challenge?

The twon of them walked through the forest, each of them armed with one sword each. They need to make sure to be careful, enemies can lurk from anywhere nd can attack at any time... Just like any other job Elyx has ever gone on. So why are his securities so high? He then looked back to see Ignite, she was still looking around for the puppy, that was a good idea. Hey Ignite, that's a great idea! How about we stick close, you search while I fight off any incoming enemies. Elyx suggested, putting the She Phoenix into another test. This test was going to show how well she was able to detect and find things in maze like areas. The Phoenix nodded her head and sheathed her blade, but he can sense her magic as well, ready to let loose. Good, she was backing up every corner, but should not she focus on finding the puppy as well? Well, whatever the case, at least they minimized their chances of getting hurt in this forest. The smog was really all for show, it didn't really scare him too much anymore since he was already here. Besides, he has gone through worse than that, for example, when the Dark Celestial Spirits tested him and a partner of his. Or when he and two friends fought of a giant beast. This was just a cake walk compared to both of those. He kept Knight Iris up,, sensing an enemy that saw them. That was when it happened.

'Monster Dice' :

Enemy incoming, the first one was a Vulcan as usual, and it looked ready to fight with it's blade extended. The Violinist raised his blade to match his opponents, who seemed to be aiming for the head. The first attack was a slice downwards to his skull, but Elyx rolled to the side to avoid the attack. The Vulcan quickly sliced again as the violinist recovered, but the Knight Iris blade blocked the attack clumsily in time. This sword lock had leverage towards the enemy until Ignite came to double him and attack the Vulcan from behind.  The She Phoenix sliced at the back of the enemy and caused it to yowl before turning to her. Great... now this might be trouble. Don't you dare! Elyx exclaimed as he aimed a blow to the turned back of the vulcan. This time, the knock back was shown as it was sent back heavily. The enemy wasn't down though, in fact, it seemed rather excited. Great, it was much worse than he had thought. He turned to Ignite, who braced herself to spring, but that may not be such a good idea. So stupid, we'll take you out! Ignite exclaimed as two streaks of fire ran alongside her. He ran quickly behind her to make sure she wasn't being tricked into something, and then the second enemy came to even up the battle. He sensed it's jumped and braced for impact. Hey now... you think you can do that to my big bro!? A vulcan exclaimed, seemingly the one that sprang out at the Violinist.

'Monster Dice' :

Elyc took a hit from the side, with another blade. It seems these enemies have gotten better since the last time. He was sent tumbling before taking another hit into the air, and the Vulcan jumped into the air to finish off the combo, but that was when Ignite saved him from destruction at that very moment. Elyx! No... At all Costs... I can't let that happen! You're going to fall hard! Ignite exclaimed as a giant pillar of fire from below shot up at the Vulcan and knocked it back, letting the Violinist fall at a normal rate instead of being slammed to the ground. When he hit the ground, it took a few seconds for him to get back up onto his feet. Ignite knelt down to see if he was all right, but he just shook off the pain and held his blade up again. The She Bird seemed to have taken care of the other enemies as well. Ignite was very useful, and he saved him from huge amount of danger. He didn’t like to think of the problem he was in as life-threatening. That would be stretching since it really would be one combo. Then again, he can’t remember the last time in a long time he ever took a combo worth of damage from anybody. The both of them charged at the half healthy looking Vulcan and ran their bade on the ground. It was time to get Ignite a new blade as well it seemed, but she was doing a lot better than she was last time they went on a job together. Keep it up Ignite, you are doing amazing! Elyx exclaimed as he gave a playful bump before they continued to run. The Vulcan looked like it was ready to face the both of them at once.

The Vulcan jumped back towards the two, and none of its siblings seemed to be ready to pounce. Lerale Eye or Boost would have caught it considering how much border was covered. If this Vulcan wanted to handle these two, he was going to have to do it alone. The blade of the Vulcan tried to pierce through the stomach of the Violinist, but it missed when he stepped to the side. Ignite took this moment and sliced at the back of the Vulcan before it could try to counter the attack. He jumped into the air and and tried to slice as the Vulcan, who managed to luckily stumble out of range just in time, but the She Phoenix was able to forward the attack and run towards the enemy. The Vulcan tried to aim its blade at her neck, possibly tried to decapitate her with its strength? He couldn’t imagine the being possible for it to do, but it was certainly confident. Regardless, the attempt failed as Ignite ducked the swinging blade and punched the enemy’s stomach, causing it to hold its stomach. Elyx ran at the Vulcan and jumped into the air with his right foot high up in the air. After a few seconds, he lowered his leg fast to do a heel kick to the back of his enemy. This caused the Vulcan to lose a lot of its brain power since the impact was so devastating, that was the point. It could have been worse since the Buzzsaw kick was another possibility. There were more Vulcans arriving on the scene, he and Ignite decided to brace themselves.

The next Vulcan though was rather… special to say the least. For one thing, it was so small and looked like it wanted a fight, so holding back would not be a problem. But the fact that it looked so small and pathetic, that was just a sad thing to watch. As for it’s power when it tried to hit Elyx, there was barely any wind from its blade, its arm speed and its leg speed were nowhere near his or Ignites level. They both stepped to the side and watched it fall onto the ground on its face. How sad to see such a terrible sight. And now that it was there, the poor things fate was sealed. The Phoenix put out her right palm and shot a chain of fire from there. After that a left palm fire ball was shot, both of them nearly hit, but the Vulcan stumbled out of the way just in time. Elyx and Ignite looked at each other and nodded one time, ready to use teamwork to finish this thing off. The Violinist ran forward towards the enemy and sliced upwards to inflict damage and knock it into the air, leaving a lot of room for the combo to continue. The She Phoenix ran up from behind and jumped into the air with a chain of fire behind her back. She then pressed it against the enemy and forced the Vulcan towards the ground, and upon impact, a small explosion ended the enemy. At least they weren’t slow with this battle.

Elyx and Ignite were now both fired up, and the Violinist didn’t even use his magic yet. Until now it seemed, he wanted to make sure he ended this battle with a bang as their next Vulcan appeared in front of them. This time, it was holding a club in both of its hands. They needed tp be careful not to take a devastating hit from this thing. The Vulcan spun around quickly and the winds were spinning fast, but that wasn’t something his magic could not take out. Elyx summoned his Violin into his left hand and his bow into his right hand. He then activated a spell, Wind Lerale Stream of Quintus, which gave him control of the wind being hurled at the two of them. He then looked to Ignite, nodding his head, and in response, he received hesitation. For a few seconds, she was trying to understand what to do. But finally, there was a point in which she got the message and she nodded back with a determined facial expression. He kept his usual grin on his face and watched as his apprentice ran towards the enemy, who still swung its club. The She Phoenix shot a chain of fire at the top of the enemy, having it land on the enemy and causing it to drop its blade as it began to roll. As that happened, the violinist ran towards the rolling enemy, then with a good soccer kick, knocked it towards a tree, its back knocking a few pine cones from that same tree… yet it still wasn’t done.

It jumped from the tree and tried to slam the club against the ground, the target being the violinist, who had to jump back far so none of the Earth pieces could hit him. That was what he was weak against, and his Knight Iris blade wasn’t up yet to help him avoid it. Ignite however seemed to have no problem with it, for one thing, her speed it much more noticeably fast than Elyx when it came to jumping onto the pieces of the ground. How was she able to read all of them so fast!? And how was she even able to climb them if she wasn’t that aware of them!? Wait… she was fire… Fire can predict the movements of the earth right? If that’s the case, can water learn her every movement? No… not while Elyx was a Wind Mage. He and Ignite relied on each other so the chains of elements doesn’t come to haunt them in combat. The She Phoenix jumped from rock to rock very quickly before she made it to the top and spun into a ball of fire, leaving the Vulcan no space to run. When the fire ball hit the ground, another explosion occurred, which worried him since the familiar was in that fire ball and explosion. The Vulcan was sent flying as it passed his head, but that didn’t matter since that was the enemy going by. When he got to Ignite, she turned out all right, not a single scratch on her body. That was amazing! Elyx exclaimed as he then handed the Phoenix a chocolate bar, watching her kill the bar fast than her explosion defeated the Vulcan.

That was when the puppy arrived on the scene, and it was the same one alright. The two of them had to approach this situation calmly or face themselves in a chase against s dog, causing more Vulcans to arrive. They were losing their magic energy, even though their health was in great condition. He made sure to distract Ignite by giving her his knapsack full of chocolate, in which he can hear the munching and crunching. The louder it was, the aster she was eating them. The softer it was, the less chocolate there was for her to eat and less time for the violinist to get the puppy. He approached the playful animal calmly, making sure not to startle or excite it any more than it already was. The dog was wagging its tail and panting its tail out, ready for more adventures it seemed. Too bad this was going to be the end of the line for this adventurous animal. He calmly approached the dog and slowly bent down onto his knees. Finally, he cupped his hands over the dogs body, and its fur felt so warm in his palms. It was a nice feeling, even though there was also probably a lot of first there, so much that he would have to was his hands. But there was no fountain nearby, so they would have to continue as is until they both returned the puppy to their proper owner, which was the lady in the house nearby, not the Vulcans or this chilled filled forest.

Finally, the dog allowed itself to be picked up by the violinist, and it barked happily into his ears and licked his face lovingly This was the sort of thing he had to endure in order for him to return this puppy to where it belonged. But its personality fitted with its name perfectly, a puppy. The puppy was a child dog, and a child is always so playful and loving to anyone they can trust. For example, though they aren’t puppies, they are the closest thing to children in his guild that he could imagine. The twins were both very capable of fitting in as children. They were both 14 as well, and they even act much younger than their actual age. Though something about their melody is off, he did not need to forget the fact that they were both part of the guild that he was in the same guild that he was in. He walked to Ignite, who was still stuffing her face with the knapsack. It hurt him to imagine how much chocolate and jewels he had just lost by give her that. The chocolate money he spent might need to be tripled in his budget meaning. he would have to work twice as hard to provide for themselves and he will have less spare jewels to use on new weapons he was planning to make… great. Ignite took the door from his hands and tried to give the dog chocolate, but Elyx took the chocolate away from her, knowing full well what would happen if the poor animal had any input of chocolate in its system.

One more enemy it seemed, great. It was another Vulcan with a sword, and this time, he didn’t have Ignite to help him out with this batytle now. He raised his Knight Iris and shattered his Violin and his Violin bow into the air as he then faced the enemy. He made sure the puppy was in good hands, and the She Phoenix looked at him with no doubt in her eyes, but pure confidence. It was nice to know that someone was cheering for him in his corner, or at least believes that he can win these sort of battles. He placed his blade on the ground and ran towards the Vulcan, who ran back. When they both slashed at each other’s blade, his blade activated its effect, which forced its way through the enemy sword and sent it flying back as the blade hit the Vulcans stomach. The enemy was knocked back to the tree, but landed on its feet and pushed itself off of the plant that it just hit to slice again.. Elyx tried to defend himself by blocking the blow, but the sword was designed for attacking, not defending. The violinist was stumbling back a little due to the impact. At that moment, the enemy struck at his right leg, causing him to fall back. He rolled to the side as the enemy tried to stab his forehead from the moment. But instead, the enemy hit the ground and Elyx was able to do a clumsy soccer kick to its hip to have it knocked to its side.

The enemy rolled back up onto its feet so it did not take any more damage from that point. The both of them were almost just about even, which was sad considering this was just like any other enemy. But it was also playing fairly and not aiming for Ignite or the puppy, that made his life a lot easier for him since those two he was defending, the puppy since it was the clients dog, and Ignite because that was his familiar and apprentice. But most important, his friend. The two of them danced in a sword lock, both of them spitting blows with their sword still sparking every time they hit each other. Finally, a side slash from the knight Iris occurred, knocking the enemies sword away from its grip. The violinist ran towards the word and kicked it before the Vulcan can try to grab it. There was nowhere or nothing for it to go to or to grab as a weapon. From this point, it will have to go Melee with its fists. Elyx jumped at it and sliced his blade upwards to send the enemy into the air as he jumped once into the air again so he can continue this combo. The violinist spun sideways one time with all force behind his arm, the impact devastating enough for bones cracking to be heard at the blade made impact with them. This was perfect, he was almost there, the Vulcans were cleared according to Boost and Eye, and they now have to get out of the forest to make sure no more surprise encounters occurred. The three of them have completed the job.

The violinist and the Phoenix had the puppy that the lady needed, and it was such a good day. The butler invited the both of them in once the puppy was revealed and the job desciption was given. We have brought to you the one you love the most. This is your puppy I believe. Remember me? Elyx asked as he tilted his head in curiousity. The woman had her eyes opened very wide, they were so full of happiness and looked rather shocked as well. Was there any actual way for her to remember him? There wasn't, at least, he thought there wasn't. The lady didn't say a word though, so the Violinist believed that she did not remember him. She gave him and Ignite the bag of jewels promised, in which the She Phoenix made sure to count so she was not being conned. He personally could care less about the jewels given to them, the fact that they helped one of Elyxs friends was heart warming and rewarding enough. He just did not want to get into an argument of taking the jewels and that he did not want them, in which the woman would do anything to have him take the jewels. He knew that was something he would not be able to win since he literally saved someone from her family, or what normal people would consider a family. Ignite was like Elyxs sister, even if on a technicality, she was a pet. When he teaches her how to speak and act on her own, she will be like the younger sister he never had. Even if she was just a year younger. In the end, the both of them ended up walking to Black Rose without any actual problems. This was it. The mission was a success.
