Job Requirements: Thread must be 40 posts long. 300 words per post. Must locate the Lost Saint's Treasure Vault buried beneath the Ancient Ruins after defeating the Gemstone Hunter or Harper Goldenshine. This Job May Only Be Completed Once by any Character
Job Location: Ancient Ruins
Job Description: Legend tells that somewhere within the Ancient Ruins; the original Ten Wizard Saints of old, one millenia ago; the ten of them gathered, and collectively hid away their most valuable artifacts and treasures.
For awhile; no one knew how to navigate the old ancient city and labyrinths; but one bold Wizard, Harper Goldenshine, reknowned across Fiore for his treasure hunting skills; claims to know a way to find the treasure. Rumour has it that he and his band of Treasure Hunters; 'The Gem Brothers'; have been searching the Ancient Ruins for days now, and are somewhere within.
Harper is known for misusing artifacts he finds, he could find something truly powerful in the trove of the original ten Wizard Saints; and this is something that the Magic Council is not willing to risk. The Council has sent out requests to the Guilds, both Legal and Dark; with a challenge for the wizards to find the treasure before the Gem Brothers do. The Council has promised too keep the treasure safe on display in Era's Mueseum for future generations to behold; but also has promised to make the Wizard's who might be successful in this endeavor handomsely paid with coin from the Old Saint's Trove itself after it's found.
Count Sparrow himself has also promised that each Wizard who helps recover this piece of Wizarding World history; will get to keep one item from the Old Wizard Saint's trove for their own personal use.
It is a mountain of golden, gilded treasures that stretches the size of fifteen buses. Deep, deep, within the Ancient Ruins. It glistens.
Enemies:
Weak: Rookie Treasure Hunter x3 (C-Ranked, Non Wizard; they carry an array of different style swords with them. They're not very fast; but very sturdy young lads. Their slashes can deal C-Ranked damage in chain slashes. They take 2 hits of B-Ranked damage to down each.)
Normal: Professional Treasure Hunter x5 (B-Ranked, Non Wizard; they carry an array of different styles of guns and cannon weapons on them. Very, very fast, running and shooting is their specialty; along with explosions; a nod to their careers as treasure hunters and master excavation artists. They can deal rapid fire B-Ranked damage to targets, and A-Ranked damage if they use cannons or explosives. Takes 4 hits of B-Ranked damage to take each one of these experienced treasure hunters out. )
Strong: Gemstone Hunter (B-Ranked, Wizard. Uses Crystal-Make Magic. Can instantly deflect or trap any Light or Water spell of up to B-Ranked with a successful block. Can be used to slam, push and trap, or construct weapons out of. This wizard is incredible with all different types of weapons through his 'Make', from Giant Waraxes, to Crystal Bows, too Crystal Swords of different shape and size. Will attempt to trap opponents in crystal prisons and then continue for chain attacks as well. If you fail more than 5 blocks against him over the course of the fight; he will trap you in a Crystal-Make prison and shatter it with an attack for A-Ranked damage. Takes 3 hits of A-Ranked or 6 hits of B-Ranked damage to take this bad, bad hunter down.)
Boss: Harper Goldenshine (A-Ranked, Wizard. Uses Crystal-Make Magic. One of the most famous wizards in Fiore; Harper's 'make' is so fast that it seems to appear instantly from nowhere. He can do anything one can imagine with Crystal-Make; anything from creating a house, too a lion, too a gigantic crystal serpent. He can whirl out crystal blades that can block any spell B-Ranked and below and also use crystal walls that prevent him from taking any damage whatsoever. He also is a fan of creating giant weapons out of thin-air that slam down and shatter on his opponents for A-Ranked damage. Light and Water are useless against him as he will instantly crystalize them as the spells are being weaved. Takes 6 hits of A-Ranked damage or 12 hits of B-Ranked damage to take down The Hunter himself.)

The sun was shining on the walls of the ruins down in the canyon. Pein just arrived at the location he got from hikari. Since he had joined the forsaken shadows they hadn’t done a job yet so he was surprised when he found a letter under his door at saber. Apparently a bad grave robber was trying to plunder a treasure of the ten saints from long ago. Since the magic council needed some people to stop them and who was better suited then fearless sabretooth mages. Pein was stopped near a tree and watched the ruins from above. His jacket that was laying on his shoulder’s was waving in the harsh wind as was his white long hair to. The smell of leaves and trees in the summer was being disturbed by the smell of smoke and sweat of humans. “why did you have to drag me to this stinking place human.”, avery said behind him. the cat demon walked closer as her armor was viberating magic and pushed everything around a bit with the dark sense it had. Her long red scarf was trailing behind on her back as she crossed her arms and was standing there looking mean at pein. “because our team leader called us. Now be a bit more polite when hikari is here or must I use the seal again.”, pein said grumbling. He may have got to tame this demon. But she was not really tamed as one would think. It was more a pain then a help. Thanks a lot dad for this present. He sighed and fell down against the tree while avery sat a bit further away knowing better than to tease him further. Pein emptied his thoughts and was just focusing on in taking the smells and sounds around him. once a familiar scent came in to his range he smiled and stood up. time to get this job going. Time to bring the demon out.

That morning, Hika had sent a letter to her fellow guild mate, Pein, to accompany her to a job that was located in the Ancient Ruins. The mission wasn’t like any other of the ones she had taken before, a bit different as it was to find the lost treasure underneath the ruins. Quite interesting, isn’t it? Hika ran her hand through her white hair messily, not attempting to tidy it up one bit. Followed by a long sigh, Hika began to get ready to leave for her destination. Slipping into one of her official short boots, she checked herself in the mirror to make sure she looked at least presentable and of course, she did. Black shorts hugged tightly around her hips, secured by a belt loosely. Swiftly, Hika slipped onto her black hoodie over her white shirt, an eye patch concealing her glowing eye. She slid her weapon holder over her shoulder and motioned Phoenix to follow her.
”Let’s go treasure hunting boy.”
Phoenix immediately hopped off from her bed and growled, his way of expressing his enthusiasm. And so, the both of them paced out of the guild.
It took them hours to get to the Ancient Ruins and Hika ended up panting like hell upon the arrival. Sweat drops cascaded down her forehead and she immediately wiped them away with her forehand. Pein smiled a bit when his team leader finally appeared before him. It had been a while since he had seen any of his team so he was really glad that he finally got the chance to work together with one. He really liked his new friends and really did want to bond more with them if possible. Pein stretched his arm to the right as he turned to hiki to answer her question. “ Hai hikari ,no I haven’t been waiting to long don’t worry. It’s not like I had anything else to do anyway. Oh this is avery, she’s a captured demon so watch out a little bit if you get close to her she would bite. Don’t mind her naggings either.”, pein said calmly a bit eye turning when he said the last part. Avery came closer with a grin to hikari as she was checking her out. “so is this our pro founded team leader. Well I guess in looks she’s not that bad. Tough you should do something about that messy hair. Oh and a eye lap did somebody take your eye out. I can eat the other one if you like me to. ”, Avery said teasingly as she licked her lip at the last words.
Pein slapped the back of her head and sighed. “sorry about that. alright let’s get this over with and find that treasure. I have seen smoke coming from the runes tough so were definitely not alone.”, pein said as he pulled a fish from out of his coat and threw it to the tiger that was following hikari. It had been a long time since she had been on a job with her teammates. In fact, Hika rarely go on missions with them since most of her fellow guild mates were busy with their own. At least, it was still good to spend some quality time with her teammate even if it were just for a couple of minutes. Hika ran her hand through her hair quickly, swiping her short hair away. The bobby pins held her bangs securely so as not to whisk into her eyes and piss her off.
”Ah, Avery, that’s a pretty name. Glad to meet you.”
She bended forward slightly, enough to show her courtesy to the little cat demon before chuckling at Pein’s joke about his own pet. Hika couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at Avery as she noticed the little demon checking her out. ”Like the sight?” Smirking, she joked and rested her hands on her waist until Avery’s insults came flying into her way.
”Messy hair? And whoa, I still have my eye. Just have it concealed it for other purposes. I ain’t blind, kitty demon.” There was a fierce edge to her tone on her last words as if Hika was calling her a ‘kitty demon’ on purpose, quite literally. Snickering and frowning at her, Hika tried to fix her messy hair due to the comment she just received. She can imagine that they will get along just fine.
Phoenix was excited to see Pein again after they’re first meeting. You could tell that they get along really well, probably because both of them are similar. Cats and Tigers. Hika gawked at Phoenix after watching Pein throw a fish at him. ”I never knew you like fish, dude.” Phoenix and Hika were really close, as if he was her own child, so she never bothered to address him formally. Moving onto the job, Hika nodded at Pein, agreeing him that they weren’t the ones who’re alone in the Ancient Ruins right now.

Pein walked forwards to a small and narrow animal path through the woods leading to the ancient runes. The smoke was irritating his nose as it was a bit to intensely making him sneeze a bit. He tried to muzzle the sound so that they wouldn’t be figured out to soon. The best way to go about hunting intelligent prey that moved in group was to separate them from each other. Once they were separated you could easily pick them out. He motioned to hikari to get down a bit as they came very close to the camp. He crawled closer to her and started to whisper. As always avery had disappeared. She probably was running around somewhere and would just jump in at a random time. If there was ever a prize for a bad pet then he would know who to give it to. He shook his head and came back to his senses and focused on the task ahead.

This was the moment where they have to go treasure hunting and defeat the monsters at the same time, which would be rather fun. Possibly. If she doesn’t get killed, that is. Hika bended down a bit and scooted closer to Pein so that they were hidden perfectly. Avery had literally poofed within a blink of an eye, leaving Hika stunned. Ah, well, hope she doesn’t end up getting lost or anything, She thought as she shook her head. Raising one of her eyebrows, she turned her attention back to Pein, a questioned look on her face.
”But how are we going to distract them?”
There were a couple of men walking around the area who’re probably bandits, trying to get the treasure as well. But since both of them are mages, they won’t have any trouble dealing with those bandits if they tried to snatch their treasure.
”I may be the team leader, but I really suck at being one, honestly.”
Her cheeks flushed slightly, a taint shade of pink spreading over them as she admitted the truth about her. ”I have no plans made at the moment, so we should just go into one of those buildings.” She hoisted up her finger and pointed to a random square houses which was obviously ruined, but who knows there might be treasure in it too.
Hika didn’t even bother to wait for his reply, she just grabbed him by the hand and pulled her along with Phoenix, tiptoeing quietly so as not to attract any unwanted attention. The building was rather quiet and a bit dark inside. Hika stuck her head into the already-opened door and peeked into the building to see what was in there. It was dark inside she could hardly see anything even if she squinted her eyes out. But at the least, the sunlight was helping them out for now. Taking a step after another, Hika entered into the building with Phoenix trailing behind her and hopefully, Pein too. It wasn’t long after they entered, they could hear someone following behind them. And it wasn’t a monster or anything she had expected. It was a human, someone like them too — a wizard.

Pein looked at his team leader as she started to explain. He listened carefully and watched her straight in the eyes as she was talking. At the mean time he was also listening if any footsteps were coming to close. His hunter instinct was active as always never leave your prey from your attention or you could be easily be surprised by it and become the prey. That was one of the main rules of hunting dangerous prey. Apparently hikari wasn’t thinking to highly of herself as a team leader. As she was blushing as she explained that she didn’t really fit as a team leader. “well without you I wouldn’t be in this team nor here. So I wouldn’t say you’re a bad team leader hikari.”, pein said as he looked at her blushing face. The blush made her face really adorable but pein got pushed out of that idea as she pointed to a building and not much later his hand got grabbed and he got pulled towards the building. Pein was a bit flustered about the sudden hand holding that he was stumbling behind her without thinking to much. After not to long they ended up in the building.
Pein still holding her hand was unsure if he could let loose or not as his face became more redder by the second. Witch followed up by another interruption. It seemed to be a very hectic time. The room seemed to be a remmanent of the ruins and was mainly littered with broken pots and cracks in the walls. The walls were also decorated with rune signs. Probably from the ancient culture that lived here before they disappeared he thought. At that moment the room darkened a bit more as two figures were standing in the only two doors that the room had. Both were dressed in a long poncho and both had a long Mexican head on their head. One was smoking while the other one was just throwing a emerald up and down. These were definitely not friendly as a glare was in there eyes looking at the both of them. These weren’t ordinary grave robbers. They were probably the body guards of the boss of this operation. Maybe they had the info they needed to get to the treasure.
“Hai my name is ponya and it seems you entered my sleeping room. My brother over there is Gorgona and he doesn’t like trespassers. Neither do I tough.”, he said calmly as he breathed out some smoke before looking at hikari and then back to pein. “seems these two love dovyes wanted a place to do some stuff brother.”, gorgona said in response with a much more deeply voice then the other guy. Wich reminded pein that he was still holding hands. He let loose and didn’t really know how to respond as he should have let her hand loose for a while now.

The blush rising upon the girl’s cheeks intensified when Pein denied that she wasn’t a bad leader. Why was she even blushing? Geez, this is so embarrassing. Hika let out a discreet cough as she avoided her eyes away so that the heat burning against her cheeks would cool down. Feeling unsettled, she fanned her cheeks and face which was a funny thing to do, to be honest. Staring at the figure standing before her, the young ace raised her eyebrows as she crossed her arms in front of her. Dude, really? A poncho? That was really unexpected. She never thought she would ever meet a wizard wearing ponchos.
”Pffft.”

Unable to do control herself, Hika couldn’t help bursting out laughing. Tears form around the corner of her eyes as she clutched her stomach which was starting to become painful after letting out a roar of laughter. Still giggling, she wiped the tears off her eyes with her forefinger and felt two pair of eyes glued onto her, glaring at her. Maybe it was a mistake to make a joke about it.
The two wizards were snickering at both of them, assuming that the ’lovey doveys’ wanted to do some things together. Her cheeks suddenly turned bright scarlet as she widened her eyes, gawking at them. Speaking of which, Hika never noticed they were still holding hands. Like for God knows how long it was. Strangely, she was comfortable with her hands being in Pein’s. …It felt nice, truthfully. Phoenix was rolling his eyes and shaking his head beside her since he knew what she was thinking about. Either way, she shouldn’t waste any more time here. Hika immediately took off her eye-patch with a quick swift of her hand and it was obvious the expression on her face had changed into something serious and deadly.
”Let’s just get to the point.”
Pulling out the blades that were placed in the weapon holder over her back, she twirled her weapon in her hands professionally, her bright red and blue orbs drawn into slit eyes as a grin grew on her lips.

Pein looked from one person to the next as they were doing the same waiting in a stare down contest. It was all silent and tense till hikari suddenly started laughing loud. Pein wondered why but the laugh was cute and made him smile to. Tough he couldn’t leave his eyes from the enemy they were very strong in there magic presence and pein was actually quite unsure if he could handle them. Not that he would give up the fight so easily. He normally chased his enemy’s and found out there weaknesses before he went into a fight tough. So this stand down was not so ideal for him.
anyway the fight was going to start. Pein threw his cloak on the ground and stretched his muscled arms. He licked his lips slowly and started to walk in front of hikari as he also pulls out his weapon while hikari was doing the same. He pulled out two blades who were connected with each other through a chain. Another present of his dad when he was trained by him. the blades were like scimitars but then facing away from his enemy instead of pointing to them like regular swords. On the handles there were spikes attached to block other swords easier. “lets play a game. If we both make you scream for your dad we can cut of your ears. If you don’t scream you get to keep them.”, pein said calmly. But instead of waiting on the answer he jumped for ward to the guy in the poncho slicing his blade towards a muscle in the upper part of his arm that would immobilize that arm if he would slice it. Pein was quick in his reflexes and he hoped that he could surprise the man. But that wasn’t the case as the moment the blade would have hit another blade blocked the hit. This made a loud ringing nose as the blade wasn’t made of steel but of crystal. The pushed against it both for a bit before pein got pushed back. “Brother stand down it seems they have a bet I think its my turn to fight them.”, ponya said as he pulled his hat down a bit and spit on the floor. Looking at them in challenge.

Hearing the words that had escaped from Pein startled Hika, causing her to snap her head to his direction and gawk at him. Was he really going to cut of the wizard’s ears? Certainly, she didn’t expect her fellow partner to be this vicious. Her colourful orbs unexpectedly ran over Pein’s blades that had caught her attention when he drew them in front of them. It wasn’t one that she had ever seen before; the blades were made out of crystal instead of steel. Dim light that passes through the doorway shone on her face and set a small twinkle on her metallic weapon as the cool breezed that had travelled into the building caressed her soft rosy cheeks. Hika plunged her right foot firm into the hard solid ground and sprinted towards them so fast that she’d only appear as a mere blur to her enemies. She brought her blades further to her side and extended her hand outwards so it slashes her target, the man that had challenged her.

Soon afterwards, a static storm begins to emerge within the barrier, shocking and zapping them with electricity in all way possible. An apparent expression of shock passed across their faces as they look frantically around them, searching for help. There was no way they could escape … not unless they destroy it. While she watched them being agonised by pain with her arms still stretched out, Hika chanted another spell, her eyes closed lightly as the wind whizzed away her short hair.
Heavenly Wrath.
The sky darkened immediately as the rumbling sounds of thunder filled the sky. Lightning arcs protruded from her hands which spread out into the whole area inside the building. Patiently, she waited for the next part of her spell to be initiated.

Pein was pushing hard against the sword of the mage to push it away before it would hit him. Wich wasn’t easy as the man clearly had some strength in his arms as the small push pein had made was being pushed back already. Luckily he wasn’t fighting alone and his team mate hikari started to ran towards the man and slashed him wich made him loosen his grip giving pein the change to jump on the chest of the man and push himself away making a black flip and distancing him from the man while hikari was slashing him over and over. Damn she was fast and such a fury. Her sword slashes hitted one by one and it hurt the enemy clearly. But she didn’t stop there as soon a elecktric field was set up around the both enemy’s and they were getting zapped with lightning. He knew she was a lightning mage but this bright light flashes were kinda scary for him nowdays. Since he was all water now it would hurt him pretty bad if he got hit by them.
He guessed he couldn’t attack them close up at the moment yet so he would do some ranged attack on his primary target the man with the hat. 'Hikari cover your ears this is gona be loud.',he shouted to his team mate. His hands started to change into demonic claws of water as he grabbed the ceiling to shoot over hikaris barrier into the mages. He opens his mouth and a magic seal appeared infront of it as a pain defeaning sound is heard as he screams the demonic water out. A jet beam of three yards diameter flys right at the enemy with such a high speed. But the mage was quicker even under the electricity he was able to form a crystal shield from out of nowhere to deflect the spell. Tough what the mage didn’t see was that the beam bounced back off the barrier that hikari had out up and charged with some electricity it bluntly hit the mage right into his chest. Pein dropped off the ceiling and looked at what the next spell of his team mate was going to do. He couldn’t do much else since the elckricity prevented him from getting close.

With her slender arms protruding outwards in front of her, she watched the enemies getting attacked by her spells, her eyebrows creased to the middle of her forehead. Hika knew these people were dangerous to them, hence, why she wasn’t going to let her guard down. Her silver-haired was whisked away by the gentle breeze that entered through the wind as droplets of sweat cascade down her forehead. It was unbelievable to notice that she was sweating this much already. A sigh parted her lips as she caught a glance at Pein who suggested her to cover her ears. She did as she was told before an extraordinary scene unfold in front of her, leaving her eyes wide open. Pein released a gush of water from his mouth as if it was a waterfall but more powerful and dangerous. Certainly, he would be shocked to death if Pein had entered the electric circular barrier but she was glad he didn’t make the silly move. The beam of water that was produced from his mouth unexpectedly bounced against the walls of her barrier and struck the enemies, making her the effects of her spell on the two wizards even stronger. ”Nice attack there, Pein!” She exclaimed, bumping her fist into his muscled arm.
”Pein, create a distance between us. This spell could possibly hurt you.” The arcs that she had created before had now fully dispersed into the whole area in front of her. Hika wasn’t a person who would just kindly let a person go, especially her enemies. Hika found it rather amusing that her teammate has a magic that is a huge weakness and vice versa. It could be troublesome but it does have its useful benefits to it. When she was certain that all the tiny charges that ionised through the air had entered their bloodstream without them noticing, thunder and lightning began to materialize above the sky as it suddenly turned dark without any purpose. The clouds were gone as if the winds had blown them away making the sky look dark and empty apart from the sounds caused by the thunder. A mere second later, lighting flashed onto the dark blue sky before a loud thunder came crashing down on the enemies, striking them and dealing a huge amount of damage. She closed her eyes slowly and rested her arms on her sides once again, breathing out a wisp of air. To all appearances, nothing ever happened in this place; the colour of the skies reverted back to where it was again and the clouds continued to be carried slowly by the wind. No one would ever know apart from the two Sabertooth mages.

Pein was standing next to Hikari as his spell was bouncing in her spell damaging them hard. He felt a slight bump on his arm and he looked at her while she was bumping his shoulder saying nice attack there. Pein was normally just gone respond but this time he was blushing and couldn’t really think of anything to say back to his team member. Pein just rubbed the back of his head and smiled back. She then followed that there would be a dangerous spell coming. Pein walked backwards more to the wall while all electricity was sparking in front of Hikari. This seemed to be a very strong spell as the magic power coming from her was brimming hard and made Pein back off a bit. This magic would be very hurting to him. not much later everything darkened and lightning struck from the sky’s harshly on the enemies. You could see the agony and pain in their eyes from the lightning. Pein was happy that he didn’t stand to close to this. He would probably be unconscious from a strong attack like that.
The enemys were smoking from the many strikes and were standing still for a second. But then both of them started to smile and looked up at them with pleasure in their eyes. The color of their eyes were gone and they started to brim with light. Something bad was wrong here and Pein could feel it. “You two are good fighters. It been ages since we had to use this. So see it as a honor before you die to our might.”, they both said as one voice. Pein stood in front of his team leader to protect her from what to come. Something was very amiss here.
As the glow from there eyes started to spread over there body’s as crystal they grabbed each other’s hands and pulled them close to each other. A brief moment later the crystal had formed around them as a egg. Pein was staring at it in surprise but stayed on guard because magical power was beaming hard from it. there started to be huge cracks into the egg as a small crystal was coming down from the sky. Pein came even closer to Hikari to make sure she would be safe when the small crystal touched the big egg crystal. All the cracks lighted up for what seemed a split second and then it Bursted in an explosion throwing both of them off their feet. Pein took Hikari in his arms as they were flying back and took the biggest part of the impact against the wall as they were pushed through it.
Pein was breathing heavy and felt a huge pain in his back from the crash as Hikari was laying on his chest. Pein wanted to get up and see if she was okay but he couldn’t as he was disoriented from the blast. Not much later the building was breaking open as a huge Crystal bird was coming out of the house. It looked like eagle and was staring at them with great shimmering eyes. But if pein looked closer with his vision he could see a mage in each eye. He cursed to himself and asked the gods why they just couldn’t die easily.

Hika declared, searching for anything they could hide behind, a table, a wall, anything. She wondered what kind of spell they would be using, silently praying that it’s not one that would be too dangerous. All of a sudden, Pein positioned himself right in front of herself causing her widen her eyes. ”What the hell are you doing?!” She forced Pein to turn him around to face her. Hika held his big, warm hands tightly in which he had grabbed hers earlier. The light from the magic power blinded her eyes as she shielded them with her hand. A crystal was gradually dropping from a height onto a structure shaped like an egg. Staring at the crystal in awe, she froze for a moment before a huge explosion threw them off their feet, knocking them on the ground. Meanwhile, Pein held her in his arms, protecting her safely. She buried her face into his chest, summoning out a defensive spell so that they’re at least free from receiving major injuries.

With her eyes closed, a rectangular shield formed itself around their bodies, guarding them from the spell. Pein and Hika were lucky that the distance between were close enough, otherwise her shield wouldn’t have worked on both of them and one of them would have been severely injured.
Being thrown into a wall, Hika groaned slightly before she pushed herself up to see if Pein was alright. It seemed like he took most of the damage from her. On the other hand, since she was a more higher ranked than Pein, her body was sort of resistant to the spells. Hika knelt beside him, protecting him at any cause if the wizards started to attack them once again. But no, the egg that cracked from the falling crystal had turned into an enormous bird which seemed to be formed together by the two wizards.
”God, this is going to be tough.
Turning her attention back to Pein, she held his hand tightly and said, ”Are you okay?” She’s never been so worried about someone before, heck, she has never even acted so vulnerable like this in front of anyone. Her bright blue hair was blowing wilding in the wind, her face smeared with dust, she rose up on her feet, reaching out a hand for Pein to grab her.

Pein’s back was hurting like hell. The big impact he had because he was protecting his partner was giving him harsh pains in his back. Luckly most of the spell was negated by the shield that hikari had thrown up. While she had been doing that she was snuggling into his chest. That moment when she was there so close to his hearth had flustered hem and made him feel more happy and loving then he ever had in his live. He just wanted to close his arms around her and keep her safe forever. He never wanted to let her go. Although that came ot an end when his back was harshly reunited with a wall and his mind pulled back to reality.
Pein was completely covered in dust and his back drenched in blood. She looked at him andasked if he was okay. Pein moaned a little and grabbed her hand that she was putting out. Pein felt the warmth that her hand was emitting as he took it and his body felt like it was flying up In the skies. Totally forgetting his pain. “I think I am okay. My back will be dead soar tomorrow but I’ll live. Are you okay too? ”, he asked concerned about her well being. While he was pulling himself up on her. He looked at the bird in the distance. This would be a very tuff fight. He felt a slight fear inside him. what if he would die this day. What if the crystal bird would be to strong. “Aye team leader we wont. Lets clip that birds wings and take it out. I fear I may not be much of help tough. It seems my magic is very weak against this type of mage. But ill help you as good as I can. I promise ill defend you till the last ounce of fight I have in me.”, pein said as he threw his cape away standing in his white sleeveless shirt. The back was red and he was standing slightly shaking. He pointed at the bird and shouted.
“You may be big bird but the bigger they are the harder they crash. Lets blow you up.”, pein shouted at the beast flying in the sky. The crystal bird tilted its head slightly and a mechanical laugh was resounding over the battle field. “You think you can beat us. HAHAHA that’s more of a joke then anything is it.”, the bird was shouting in his mechanical voice over the plains. To bad his friends were already inside the tomb or they would have been swarmed by more thieves.

Can you just unload evryhting you got on it.”, pein said. Since he knew there was a small change he would die he placed a quick peck on her cheek before he ran off towards the bird. Peins hand left his dear hikaris hand as he went off to run from the bird. He kind of felt sad that he had to lose the warmth of her hand. It gave him comfort and his blood was pumping harsh trough his veins as he was flustered that she would just take his hand. She sounded worried when she said he had to be careful. He was now feeling like he was obligated to come back save to her so he could protect her. He was running through the many ruble of the old houses that once stood proud there. While the giant winged beast was flying behind him and shooting crystals towards him. he rolled over a wall while feeling a sharp pain in his back as a row of crystals shot out of the ground next to him.
He didn’t had to run as long as he thought as a big blast was heard from behind him. He turned around and he saw Hikari with a fierce look on her face chopping off the wings of the bird and then piercing it through the heart. The bird shattered in all tiny pieces of crystal that were shining behind Hikari as she turned around making the sword disappear. She seemed like the most awesome mage he ever saw. Her hair twirling in the air with all the glitters around her and a bright smile on that cute face of hers. Pein couldn’t do anything else but stare at her with a dreamy look in his eyes. His hearth was pumping in his chest and he just felt he needed to protect this gem of a girl.
She ran over to him and placed her soft arms around his chest. A rather warm feeling was coming from them on to his chest. She helped him placing his arms around her shoulder and were limping to a safe place.
“That was some awesome destructive power you got there Hikari. That bird just shattered in a million pieces. Ugh your right I think I do need a quick rest to get my strength back.”, Pein said as the back pain was getting worse now that the adrenaline of the fight was gone. At that moment a girl was coming out of the ruins. Pein didn’t detect any magic from her and she seem to be feared so she wasn’t a threat to them.
“Yeah I got bandages lets go to that small building there I have a small hospital of some sorts for injured people. These archeologists pay me for it.”, the girl said. She ran in front of them and Pein and Hikari were following her. “that weren’t really archeologist there grave robbers. But It’s okay you couldn’t know that. thanks for the help tough. Hikari are you alright did you get anywhere hurt.”, Pein said to the girl and then asked Hikari. He was being put down sitting on the ground as the girl would hand him bandages and went out to get some water and food for the both of them. Pein put his shirt of and his sweaty muscles were shining in the shimmer light. He showed the bandages to Hikari and looked into her eyes with still that dreamy but a bit in pain look of earlier. “euh sorry to ask you of this but could you bandage my back I can’t really do it myself. Ill buy a drink when we get to saber to make up for my hinder on this job.”, pein said as he was turned to her. The burning feeling of the wound in his back wasn’t making him easy to relax.

Pein was glad to hear that his partner was all right and wasn’t hurt at all. When she took the bandage he let his finger softly stroke hers when he let loose of it just to show a appreciation that she was doing this for him. She was so beautiful up close. Pein just realized that he was getting more and more attached to her. Maybe he should do something to make up for all the trouble he was causing. Her soft hands was going over his back as she was wrapping the bandage around it. for some reason this made his face all red and he felt a feeling rolling over his back. He was just staring at the ground as she finished it up and patted his back. He normally would never let a person he didn’t know touch his back without him seeing them. But he felt a lot of trust for this girl and he didn’t mind it at all. It even started to make him feel shy. She was asking if he was alright now.

Pein looked at Hikari as she took place beside him. although she still was a couple off centimeters away from him. the heat rose up from pein’s chest to his neck and face. His heart was throbbing in his chest and he was realy flustered trying to look away at first. He didn’t know why he had commented her eyes so casually. It was kind of tearing him up at the moment. But then he felt that sort of calm happiness again when he looked up and saw her staring in his eyes. She seemed to be playing with her bullet necklace while Pein was looking dreamy to her. Pein crawled a bit closer to her and started to whisper to her.
”I am not sure if I make a fool of myself or not by saying this. But I just have to say it. I can no longer keep it for myself it tears me up to much. Since we met I always felt this kind of ruse when I was around you hikari. At first I thought it was just because we were very good friends in such a short time. Pein felt like burning up when their lips were being together so perfectly. The kiss felt so great and he wanted more. His desire was burning in his chest but he calmed himself he shouldn’t be so eager to go for more kisses. When they broke there kiss he would still feel her hands on his chest as he was breading in and out rather quick from the nerves he had when she was confessing to him. He would be very embarrassed and sad of course if she would say no. He hoped they could still be friends if that would happen. But it didn’t seem he had to worry about that at all. The moment she started to talk he was just filling up with joy. It seemed like a ton of weight fell of his hearth the moment she said the feelings were mutual. He would still hear the rest of what she was saying but it was more of a blurred state he was in as he was so happy. He smiled from ear to ear. At that moment she also plunged against his chest and nuzzles into it. it seems she was as happy as him. He laid his arms around her and grabbed her closer to her while nuzzling his nose into her hair and placing a kiss on top of it.
