Job Description: "We been having some trouble by these pair of annoying whipper-snappers, a goblin and a vulcan who keep terrosing and being a general nuiscence at our train tracks, but now they just went ahead and blocked the tracks with a great old tree! They say we give 'em 100 pies and 100 tubs of sherbert or they'll never move the tree! Those rascals are holding up the trains and closed our station! Go over there and teach 'em a lesson, so we can get things moving again!"- Station Controller Albert.

"What the hell is wrong with Vulcans and Goblins nowadays?" A question that fluttered in Aedre's mind since dawn; framed into a sentence and then tossed in the air as a rhetorical question to herself. It had been annoying to know that these creatures were wreaking havoc in Clover Station, but even more annoying when she came to know of their demands. The mythical beings of ancient times had transformed into good-for-nothing gluttonousness. Now, this little trouble for the hometown of Blue Pegasus had nothing to do with the Savages, it wasn't their problem so they should have kept their noses out of it. That's what Aedre thought, but it seemed that the Master had other plans. Apparently, he had recruited some man by the name of Kyle Vay into the guild and today the pinkette was supposed to be teaming up with him to take care of this pesky blockade.
A little reluctant at first, Aedre had agreed due to the fact that she enjoyed testing out and getting to know more people. Let it be fellow Guild members or some interesting strangers. It had always been fun for the Slayer. Also, the fact that this man was introduced into the elite group meant he possessed certain skills that helped serve the Guild's purposes. That was more than enough.
The sound of footsteps reverberated on the stone floor of the Guild, as Aedre made her way down to the foyer. She walked down the stairs looking around the empty place looking as deserted as ever; except for the unquiet darkness that held secrets from centuries ago.

The impatient noises made by her shoe on the floor were extremely periodic, with precision that rivaled the movement of a clock's pendulum.
'Its better if he doesn't take long...'

Kyle walked out into the foyer and nodded to Aedre. So THIS was Harrigan's niece. Her looks were so refined to him. Beyond any of the women he had seen in Fiore. Being forced to join Savage Skull, Kyle needed something, someone, to be his release. To be honest, this girl would be the perfect candidate for that. Too bad this guild doesn't have a streak for being understanding. First, the guild master calls him an idiot and brave, then when Kyle tries to leave, threatens the worst fate of all fates. Then there are the members here. Out of all of them, the only people who seemed rather 'normal' were Aedre and Harrigan. Though Harrigan had this crazed love for revenge and murder towards one person. He was still saner than the rest of the group. Which made him one of the best candidates for guild leader.

From the corner of her eyes, Aedre noticed a man approaching as he nodded to her, a sign that it was the person she'd been waiting for. With a friendly smile and a bow he spoke, "My eyes have never witnessed such beauty and grace."
Aedre simply propped an eyebrow, wondering for a second as to what Harrigan might have seen in this evidently-the-lady's-man here. Even though the man might already know her, out of formailty the young woman introduced herself, "Aedre."
"I am Kyle, you're humble sand mage. I am pleased to meet you finally."
"Mhm. The feeling's mutual." She spoke out, while not really sure of the feelings being actually mutual or not. For all she knew, this guy might turn out to be some unecessary trouble for her.
'Let's just hope for the best...'
"Shall we go my princess?" A question that made her eye twitch in a barely noticeable way as she could feel her hopes being crushed right beneath fate's shoe. For a second, her gaze towards his direction might have been piercingly cold before she noticed the open door and walked past him without a word.
'I can deal with this.'
A thought that might turn out to be a mantra in the next few hours as they had to travel by foot till Beanstalk Village and from there on make use of a little Carriage service to reach near Clover Station. During the whole trip that might have taken a couple of hours Aedre would simply keep answering any questions that Kyle came up with in the most blunt and least informative way possible. She'd rarely ask a few questions in return, while focusing more on analysing rather than probing his behaviour out of him.

Kyle smiled warmly towards the girl. He walked along with her. Towards the Beanstalk Village. He continued to look around. The silence was rather awkward to him. First of all he was trapped in this guild. There was no way around it. This job seemed rather easy to him, so he was going to make good with this guild. He also wanted to make sure that he really did have a place in this guild. Harrigan did find a use for him. He put a hand on the back of his neck to feel the tattoo. His face furled as he jumped on the seat outside of the carriage. "Madam it is best that you have the carriage to yourself. I will sit with the driver," he said. He sat there with his hand on the back of his neck picturing Harrigan. He was rather unsettling to him. If there was anything to him, he would not want to be a burden to him. Other wise this man would cut his ties so fast and send Kyle into the catacombs. The sting of being branded that man's pawn still stuck with him. I guess we will learn from Aedre if he really deserves any respect. I still do not want to give up my target to him.
"You have a rather determined look there. You wish to be here? It was might proper of you to let the fair maiden sit alone in the cabin."
Kyle looked at the man and smiled. He laughed and crossed his arms. "Of course I would love to be here with that beautiful lady." The carriage stopped and he jumped off and opened the door to let Aedre out. She climbed out then asked him what next.
Kyle looked at Aedre. She was handing the reigns to him? Great. Kyle really didn't want to play the part of leader, he didn't want to be a liability. So he did what he does best. Listened. Watched. The railroad tracks were blocked off. From what it looked a couple of engineers were returning from the north. There was even talk about how strange Vulcans were for working with Goblins. "This way... My pudding cup." Kyle said walking in the norther direction of the train tracks. He gave a laugh putting his hands in the pockets of his black Midi trench coat.
"You have a rather determined look there. You wish to be here? It was might proper of you to let the fair maiden sit alone in the cabin."

Kyle seemed to analyze the situation for a second before he spoke up, "This way... My pudding cup."
There. The creepy way of talking was back and it really did manage to freak the hell out of the pinkette who followed his lead to the norther direction of the train tracks. She had a good mind to explain her discontent with this way of talking not to mention the degree to which it annoyed her, but bit down her lip and decided to keep it for some other time. She couldn't bother with such petty problems during a mission, they only served as a distraction.
After walking a couple of minutes, the Savage duo reached the place where the tree lay uprooted and sprawled across the train tacks, with its big, broad, limbs and bright green leaves, just barely missing the roof of a little cabinet on the other hand.
"I think w-" Aedre turned to talk to Kyle, only to be interrupted as a hammer whizzed in their direction. Thanks to her Slayer instincts, she could hear the sound of it cutting the air and she instinctively pushed Kyle out of the way while managing to dodge at the same time.
A cackling, high pitched laughter echoed around as a strange creature dropped from the branches of a nearby tree. A head shorter than Aedre, it had a swarthy, clever face, a pointy beard, remarkably long fingers and feet and carrying a saber in his hand. Undoubtedly a Goblin.
A low thud, as another creature jumped swiftly from the same tree, landing right beside his companion. A Vulcan with pointed ears, eyebrows that were arched and up swept with a sickening green tinge to his skin, spoke up, "So are ya the things that they summoned to get us out of here." It started laughing mockingly all of a sudden, only to be joined by the Goblin.
"That's not happening in a whole century, kids." The Goblin stated.
A smirk graced Aedre's lips as the thought of playing this little game swept her mind.
"Then please make sure that I enjoy this century, will you?"

Kyle smirked as he put a hand on the ground and stood back up. The sand flowed from the ground up to his hand slowly forming into small throwing knifes. He held out his other hand and the sand flowed to his other hand. He gripped his fist and in between his fingers formed 10 throwing knives. He swerved his right hand at the goblin sending out five. The goblin moved back as they hit the ground one after another. The goblin looked at Kyle. He sighed at his miss.
"What are you doing? The train here went through our area causing havock and pain to our sensitive ears. Why would you want to destroy us? Why--" The goblin's monologue was was cut off as Kyle sent a throwing knife at its throat. He walked up to it pulled the knife from the goblin's throat then slashed it.
He looked at the goblin with disdain and then turned to the vulcan with a closed eyes smirk. "I'm only here to complete a job and learn more about the beautiful Dear Heart." He then looked at Aedre. "Because let's face it. She HAS stolen my heart." Kyll smiled and then put up a thumbs up at Aedre hoping that he would acknowledge the pet name he gave her.

Arms crossed across her chest, Aedre watched with slight amusement as Kyle finished the Goblin's job in an instant. It surprised her that the man who seemed the happy-go-lucky type could end up as such brutal killer. She could pretty much see it all from Harrigan's point of view, about why he might have decided to recruit this rather annoying guy. But yes, maybe Aedre had underestimated his abilities by a lot.
"I'm only here to complete a job and learn more about the beautiful Dear Heart."
Kyle's voice abruptly cut through the pinkette's chain of thoughts, as she tried to contemplate what the man meant with Dear Heart.
"Because let's face it. She HAS stolen my heart." He stated, while aiming a thumbs up at Aedre. The realization came quite late than expected and the Slayer's fingers curled into a fist; her nails digging inside her very palm. Her head dropped a little bit, the pink hair casting a shadow on her eyes. An eerie chuckle escaped her, later transforming into a sickeningly sweet smile.
"Really now?" A rhetorical question spoken in her usual cold voice, this time traced absolute annoyance in it. Aedre's normally calm exterior was surely going out of the window, as she stretched her right hand on one side. With a crack, her arm transformed into a spinning mass of glittering water which only elongated as the young woman swung it towards the standing Vulcan. As that happens, the whip-like, liquid arm would end up smacking Kyle's head, before hitting the Vulcan by the waist. Whatever the man's reaction might have been, Aedre couldn't care less; with her attention completely on the creature that careened on one side and then ended up rolling on the pavement.
Coming to a stop before long, the creature staggered onto his feet; aiming both of his hands towards Aedre and causing two, bright-red magic circles to form right before his palms. At their disappearance, several marble-sized orbs of fire would move towards the pinkette at blinding speeds, bringing nothing more than a smirk on her face. With a swift movement of her hand, the woman created a wall-like structure of water, making the fire extinguish on contact. With a grimace on its face, the Vulcan backstepped and tripped on a small stone, falling straight on his bottom. With a sigh, the woman's frosty orbs locked onto the Vulcan, "Pray tell me.... What kind of a pathetic creature are you?"
Without even waiting for a retort, Aedre turned to Kyle, "All yours." She stated, hinting how he could take care of this pesky enemy as well.
"I'm only here to complete a job and learn more about the beautiful Dear Heart."

Kyle put a hand on his head feeling the sting of the water on his head. "A love tap like that should be considered a kiss from my princess with the tough exterior," Kyle stated and looked at the Vulcan. "All mine?" He tossed his throwing knife in the air and caught it by the handle. He walked up to the Vulcan who was on the ground holding his hand up.
"Dude... I swear I'll leave, I promise!" The Vulcan said to Kyle. Kyle was torn. He had to think this one over now.
"Let me think this out loud with you so I can decide your fate okay?" Kyle said putting his hand on his chin in a thinking sort of manner. "In Midi, when I would interrogate subjects closest to my targets, I would have to kill them on the spot, because they would have told them I was on my way. So I'm leaning more towards killing ya right now." Kyle stated. He knew this might set Aedre off in some sort of way. "Killing that old man in charge of this guild was no option though. I had to let him go. Well... more like he let me live." Kyle looked down at the Vulcan and tossed the knife in his hands. "So... it's come down to this... Should I let you go to run off to tell your leader that we are coming... Ruining any chance of surprise, or should I insure my silence and kill you on the spot." Kyle smirked and tackled the Vulcan down and slit his throat. "You see... I tend to lean to the position of silence more so than ever."
Kyle looked up at Aedre and shrugged as he had admitted how he joined the guild in front of her. He shook his head as the closed eyes mage looked shook his head. "I don't know why my target was in love with such a selfish human being. Tell me..." The two walked along the pathway to get to the blockade. "Why do you appreciate your uncle so much?" He gripped a fist and looked over at Aedre with a smirk. "And explain to me why I should be grateful to be in this guild when the guild master takes my money only giving me enough to get by with transportation and food?"

Aedre did nothing but listen to Kyle while he decided the fate of the Vulcan. If the pinkette was concerned, she really didn't give a damn about such nasty trouble-makers, but then again, Aedre had never really managed to care about anything in this world. All thanks to the emotional barriers she set up for herself; the young woman usually preferred to be the epitome of a cold and indifferent attitude.
Her interest only perked up when Kyle mentioned something about his origins, something about coming from the country of Midi. That was fairly well, but what the man might have meant with his targets, was only left as a sudden mystery.
"Killing that old man in charge of this guild was no option though. I had to let him go. Well... more like he let me live."
It was only obvious that Kyle was referring to Savage Skull and the old man was none other than Harrigan. Hearing him speak, the pinkette couldn't help but smirk at his arrogance. She found it amusing that someone like Kyle would even think of going against Harrigan; who belonged to a class of wizards of another caliber. But when the raven-haired man added that the Guild Master left him live, a few more pieces seemed to fit in place.
A swift slash on the Vulcan's neck and creature had already counted its last breath.
Looking back up at the Slayer, Kyle spoke, "I don't know why my target was in love with such a selfish human being. Tell me..."
As the Savage duo started walking in the direction of the blockade, Aedre couldn't help but wonder why Kyle kept on mentioning targets. She had just met him and he still he managed to speak as if they knew each other since months. She surely needed to question him, but as she was about to do so, "Why do you appreciate your uncle so much?" Kyle had cut through with a question himself. A bemused smile formed on the pinkette's lips, the Sand mage was definitely well-informed about her. Otherwise, picking her relation with Harrigan was quite the task; mostly due to the way they acted around each other.
"For him being with the Guild... For taking up the responsibility of leading. Not many are capable of doing that, you know? I've never had any sort of family bonds with him, but when I approached him to take up the role of Master; he readily accepted. Now it may have been for some personal goal or reason... But I couldn't care any less. What matters is the help he provided... when it was most needed." She spoke, letting out most of her genuine thoughts, only to end up with a small sigh.

Kyle just growled in disappointment. He walked with the beautiful and illustrious mage. He never really wanted to be a part, but Harrigan's willingness to lead the guild was something he would never attempt to do. Leading a group of people was something he found himself to not be so grand at. Strategy though, he was good at hiding behind shadows and making a fool of himself. Which were strong for fights in their own ways. "I know how to manage my money." He said with a smirk. "Shelter's are easier to MAKE then pay for." Kyle said opening an eye and looking out towards the rail way. "Why do dark guilds go on helping people in jobs? These past few jobs have made no sense to me." He stopped and signaled Aedre to stop. Something was rustling in the dirt setting him off. Then they fumbled out of the brush.

"Why do dark guilds go on helping people in jobs? These past few jobs have made no sense to me." Kyle had stated, bringing forth a small chuckle from Aedre's side. She had to admit, the man had a valid point, one that you could argue over in a debate. Even Aedre found herself wondering on the same question several days ago, when she was a newly appointed to the guild and failed to even tell most kinds of jobs apart from each other. However, slowly but surely, she had come to the realization that everything holds a motive. An extremely proper one at that; for most of the jobs had a secondary aim to it. From what Aedre knew, Kyle was new to the guild and to this whole business, so she could only expect him to learn and understand eventually; with time. There was another reason; to get away from the spying eyes of the Council, these tit-bits of jobs could be used to make a proper, yet fake image of themselves, only to shatter it when necessary.
Just when she was about to give the latter reason to the raven-haired man, he signaled her to a stop. There was a faint rustling from a nearby bush, which made Aedre gaze silently at its origin.
A second or two later, two large Vulcans stepped out of the sparse vegetation, "Now this... THIS... just ticks me off."
'And I thought there were only two problems to deal with.' A sigh escaped her lips, as she readied herself for the conflict that would take place.
"Shall we split this? I'll admit, I know I don't stand a chance against two of these... mongoloids." Kyle spoke, setting himself off on one of them without even getting a reply from the pinkette's side. Under normal circumstances, she could have been stubborn and throw some sarcastic remark at his behavior, but as of now, she didn't have any qualms with his idea. A yes is all that Kyle would've got if the Slayer was given the chance to actually decide.
With a simple nod, Aedre would burst forward towards the other Vulcan, supposing that Kyle would deal with the other. Nearing him, she swung a left hook at it, then planted her foot and whirled back the other way through the air with a spinning heel kick aimed for the side of its face.

Kyle put a hand on the sand creating a spear. "Chaos runs through these sands for the blood of the Sand Demon has been spilled upon them. This is my lineage. This is my legacy. This... Is my weapon." He said as he pulled a spear out of the ground. This was way sturdier than his normal sand magic. Almost impenetrable. He held his hand forward on the handle and ran forward holding the spear back running forward. The Vulcan ran forward and slammed Kyle to the ground with his haymaker. Around the Vulcan a cage formed out of the sand around him and Kyle thrust his spear through the cage impaling the Vulcan. The sand cage broke into dust, but Kyle's spear remained in his hands. He stuck the hilt of the spear into the ground and leaned on the spear awaiting for his partner to finish off her opponent. He looked forward determined to finish this mission. Kyle never left any rock unturned until he found out what was going on. "These Vulcans are gathering and it's giving me the heebie jeebies. I want to find the boss of these guys and take him down, Miss Crawford. I don't like monkeys. In fact. I hate monkeys. When they gather and take over people it makes me sick." He spun his spear around and ran forward to where the source of the blockade was. Kyle ran right into a crowd of goblins and vulcans. He was rather puzzled. Goblins never work with Vulcans. "HEY! Who's running the show here!"
The goblins and Vulcans turned around and looked at him. They all smirked and surrounded him. "You should be careful there's a rather sweet innocent girl in these woods looking for a fight."

The goblin slid back on its feet for a feet or so, its heels sliding onto the ground with a rough voice, before completely coming to a stop. Without much adieu, the vulcan steadied himself, while his feet were set ablaze with fire. The next second, it started running towards the pinkette's direction; jumping high into the air and trying to land a blazing kick to her face. However, its hopes might have been thwarted when Aedre caught him by the kicking leg with a swift movement of her hand and slammed him straight into the ground.
It hadn't taken her much effort and it only caused her to click her tongue in disappointment at the lack of skills from her opponent's side.
At the same time, she could see Kyle adeptly taking care of his opponent, as he trapped the Vulcan in a cage and then impaled it with some sort of spear made with his sand magic. With a curt nod, Aedre turned her attention back to the Vulcan she was dealing with at the moment.
It was actually trying to get back to his feet now and was pushing himself up on his arms. By then, Aedre's right foot was glowing bright with a swirling blue aura, thus completely obscuring it from any onlooker's vision. However, it was slowly transforming into streams of crystal-clear water, thus augmenting the power of her leg by several times over.
"Tik tok. Play time's over." The pinkette stated mirthlessly, while performing a hopping step kick into his lower jaw, causing him to stare straight into the sky due to the power of the hit. His gaze would flatten for a second, bulge in the next, before his face would thud into the ground below.
'Another one down, eh? I wonder how many more...'
It was then that she heard Kyle's voice explaining that he was going to look for the leader of this group of creatures and watched him run off into a direction.
"Hey! Wai---" But by then, the raven haired man was already out of a hearing range. With a soft sigh, the Slayer set off in the same direction as him, following him by her strong sense of smell rather than depending on her vision.

Kyle rain forward through the crowds of goblins stabbing each one and dodging attacks. He spun the spear over his head and then threw some throwing knives at a couple more goblins. Hitting them each in the throat. Kyll opened his red eyes glaring forward at the few monsters that were left. "I'm sorry... Aren't you going to leave?" Kyle said offering mercy to the remaining amount of goblins left. The looked at Kyle and gave a smirk then charged him jumping on top of him. Suddenly the Vulcans did the same. Kyle felt his back crack underneath the weight. He could hear the snap out loud. "AAGH! MY BACK!" Kyle shouted out from under the pile of monkeys and goblins. "Aedre, I bit off more than I could chew." The closed eyes mage sighed. I'm too young for back issues... I hope she soothes me... Kyle's face went to a pink as he thought of Aedre giving him a back massage after the mission was over. Oh yeah... that would be the life. Kyle sighed hoping that she would take out the rest of the monsters and they could get rid of the tree. This mission had gone on long enough in his eyes. Though being taken out of the game wasn't that bad.

A small grimace made its way onto Aedre's features as she noticed Kyle being crushed under the weight of the Vulcans and Goblins. The creatures were undoubtedly annoying, but it had to be accepted that they came upon the most creative ways to make their opponent fall. The pinkette actually had to suppress a chuckle when Kyle spoke to her.
With a nod to her own self, Aedre snapped her fingers, thus causing a magic circle of a colossal size to appear right above herself; on that spread to a massive size and brought all the creatures under its shadow.
The next second, a plume of thick mist issued out of the center of the arcane circle, slowly spreading in all the directions and rendering Aedre's opponents blind by obstructing their vision.
This temporary handicap caused them to make a great ruckus, as they just couldn't put their fingers onto what was happening. Suddenly, with the sound similar to that of a waterfall; a substantially sized arm made of mist coalesced into existence, only to transform into highly pressurized water instead, albeit retaining the same shape.
"Tell me how real punches feel like~" She spoke, as the arm swept forth and knocked off about five goblins and sent them crashing onto hard ground and without wasting a second, Aedre moved her own hand in such a way; that she manipulated the water-arm to crash straight on top of the goblins and then splash out as water.
The liquid pooled around their unconscious bodies, while two massive-sized blades made of pressurized water came to be formed on top of the remaining Vulcans head, only to start slashing in several directions at the beck and call of Aedre's hands. They slashed at the Vulcans, impaling a few by cutting their heads off, thrusting themselves straight into the creature's body, parrying any attacks made in their directions and even hitting them with the flat side so that they ended up in a corner; alive but unconscious.
As soon as she was done with all of them, Aedre would manipulate both the blades to float mid-air, on top of Kyle, with their blades pointing straight to his body.
"Have a little shower." She stated, as the blades would burst into water and splash on the raven-haired man, causing a small chuckle to issue from Aedre's side.
At the same time, another huge fist had formed near the tree trunk that blocked the railway lines and smashed into it, causing it to crack into several splinters.
'I guess, the officials can take care of this little mess that I live behind.' The pinkette concluded, while she approached Kyle and bent to pick him up by the collar, "You really need to work on your eating etiquette."
