Marick's Clothing:

The Rose Garden, home to a massive array of magical talent and some of the most incredible sights in all of Fiore. Many would come here on holiday or simply here for days out. Many would get married here amongst the beauty of the agricultural environment. Then of course there were those who were there to work. Today Marick was there in the case of the latter, acting as a bodyguard of sorts for a couple who were set to be wed. They'd had trouble with the bride-to-be's ex-boyfriend, and so they had employed a couple of mages to hold the man and his cohorts at bay. One of these mages was, of course, Marick Lowell himself. He'd made a name for himself it seemed, and he'd been all too happy to help out. The other mage was considerably lesser known, but this didn't worry him all too much. In his eyes it was an opportunity to help out a young mage who, he assumed, had bags of potential.

By now he was stood outside of the church just waiting for the bride and groom to come out. Apparently the ex-boyfriend had already attempted to charge into the ceremony, but had failed in spectacular fashion. Chances were that he was out for revenge now. Marick could cope with that, but he wasn't sure if his teammate for the day would be. "Not long til they come out...that mage should be here shortly...hopefully no-one shows up before he gets here, otherwise he won't get a taste of the action." he muttered as he took a card from his pocket and casually rolled it across his fingers.

Tuxedo:

Ian ran to the rose garden. He was not late but he just wanted to make sure he was still on time, if he would be late he would kill himself. He kept running seeing the people he ran past look at him, He should actually fly but he disliked people staring at him and at the wedding he thought it would be better to see if the attention could go the the bride instead of hiss flying ability. He had been suprised when he had heard that the people who arranged the wedding had wanted him to help. He knew he was not a known wizard actually he was still a newbie but somehow they had gotten word that they should hire him.

He was allready in his white tuxedo, It wasn't anything special, it was a black tuxedo with a silver tie and the rest was white except for his shoes which were leather and black. He had never looked this good and wondered if there were some guys he could romance on the wedding if nothing went wrong. He arrived soon at the place where he had needed to be and before going into it he took a moment to get his breath back. When he had and he had been sure that his face wasn't redder then one of the roses or a tomato he went back in and looked for the other mage that was a bodyguard. He didn't take long to find him. ''Hmm, blond hair, blue eyes, a little beard everything matches'' Ian said to himself as he walked towards him. ''Hey I suppose you are the other body guard, I am Ian nice to meet you'' he said as he got out a gloved covered hand wondering if he would shake his hand.

Marick placed the card back into his pocket with his left hand whilst shaking Ian's hand with his right. "You suppose correctly, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Marick. Marick Lowell." he replied politely. In the back of his mind he was taking in the appearance of the mage before him. Ian was seemingly well-built, something Marick hadn't suspected. He also looked older than he probably was. At least he looked the part. Now it was a case of finding out whether he could take care of himself. "The bride and groom are currently making their vows. I've not seen any of the threats just yet, but I'm almost certain we'll have someone headed this way in the near future." he continued as he took his deck of cards from his pocket and shuffled them instinctively.

"I'm guessing you've not worked too many jobs like this in the past." he said with a smile. "You seem like a novice...good with your magic, but inexperienced on the field. Don't try denying it, I saw it in your eyes as soon as I saw you walking over here. But don't worry, it's not a bad thing." he continued as he put his deck back into his pocket and straightened his bow tie. "I can tell you've got potential...so I'm looking forward to working with you." All the time he was talking Marick was taking in his surroundings. Someone had been following Ian into the churchyard, and it didn't take a genius to work out why.

Hmm he looked at the person, He was pretty nice and not only that his looks were pretty good as well. When he spoke it was obvious that the man in front of him had a lot of experience. He was probably something about a C or B rank wizard. From what he heard the man had allready done a few observations before Ian had arrived. He was happy he did that but Ian wanted to show that he would be able to take care of the situation too even if he was still a beginning wizard. He got suprised eyes when the man started to speak. ''Yeah I have not done much missions yet I am kind of a new wizard you could say however my magic isn't the weakest so i hope i will be able to do ok on this missio'' He said blushing and rubing the back of his head, he was really beginning to like this man. He blushed even more when he heard him say that he got potential. ''Uh thank you'' He said a bit not knowing excately what to say. He noticed some strange people entering the garden and he came closer to Marick. They were a bit shadowy and he knew right away theey didn't mean to give the bride and groom their regards. ''Some strange people have come with should keep an eye on them'' Meaning the ones that were behind his back watching the wedding and dressed completely in black tuxedo, with black shoes etc everything was just black while most of the other guests had something on that was white so they kinda were pretty noticeable.

((OOC: You need another 58 words at least in your last post to make it up to 250 words. Just add a bit more of a description for the two men we're facing, describing clothing in a little more detail, and perhaps mention facial hair of some sort?))

Marick nodded at Ian to show he was aware of the two men who were now approaching the church. He could tell Ian was a little nervous at the very least. It was hardly surprising given his age. Marick put a hand on the boys shoulder and smiled. "Are you ready?" he asked the Sabertooth mage, before drawing seven cards into his hand. He quickly scanned over them before letting them levitate around him, keeping hold of three cards. He activated two cards at first; a pair of 7's that fired out two jets of water at the pair of crooks. He played his third card almost immediately after, revealing a 6 which burst into flames and shot off towards it's target. The movement was quick and precise, just as Marick had planned from the second he'd seen the cards.

Unfortunately for Marick his triple-play was wasted; the two enemies had already considered what it was the two mages were there for and predicted such a move might occur. The bulkier of the two men dodged the attacks by diving to the right, whilst the other man chose to dive to the left, splitting themselves up to make it more difficult to take them. "Bugger, they called our bluff...oh well, it would've been no fun to take them down in one move." he said calmly, smiling as he put his hand behind him and pulled out his sword. "Right then Ian...hiccup aside, you've seen what I can do. Now it's your turn to show me. You take the cohort on the right, and I'll handle the mage. Four solid hits should do the trick."

''Yes I am'' Ian said as he looked at him trying to attack the people that just went to attack them. He first saw him get a number 7 Card as he shot them forward he could see them turn into two beams of water but unfortunately they missed the opponent, also did the number 6 card which had turned into fire as he had thrown them. He had wished they had hit but unfortunately they hadn't. Anyway the guy said that it was his turn to show what he was able to do now. ''Sure just you wait'' Ian said as he jumped up and flew over to the man. He could see the man running towards him as he jumped up trying to hit him. However Ian had other plans, He clapped his hands together as a small hurrican formed. God he was happy that he was able to fly, this way he would be able to dodge the other mans attack a bit more easy as the hurricane had grown wider he had shot his hands to the upcoming opponent blasting a strong hurricane his way ''Magic wind palm'' He said as the hurricane darted towards the opponent who was coming upto him. He hoped the attack would hit his target. He would like to get out of this without ruining his very expensive tuxedo. Now he could see the tornado heading the opponents way as it was a very strong wind that blew. Would it have been enough to wind this?

With Ian focused on dealing with the large brawler, Marick was able to take on the mage without any worries. His seven cards levitated around him as the opponent attempted to stare him down while he was simply smiling, his forever relaxed demeanour being clear as the sky above them. "You did well dodging my elemental spells I'll give you that." His tone showed that he was genuinely impressed. It changed as he spoke again though. "How long can you keep it up for?" he replied with a low growl. Suddenly he gripped all seven cards and threw them straight at the mage. The first three hit their mark dead on, causing the mage to stagger backwards a little. He regained his composure quickly and retaliated, launching a fireball back at Marick.

The remainder of the cards were engulfed in the fireball as it traveled and, as fast as he was, Marick was unable to get clear of the attack quick enough. The fireball hit him square in the chest, sending him skidding back a few inches. Better to take the hit than risk it hitting the kid in the back he thought to himself as he brushed the embers from his jacket. "Nice hit." he commented as he drew a new hand. His new hand wasn't quite as good as his first hand had been, but it was still perfectly usable, particularly with having hit the mage well with his first three cards. Marick turned his head ever so slightly to the right. "How're things going with you Ian? Keep your chin up kid, this'll be over before we know it."

Damn his attacks had missed. It should not have happened since his aim was very high, he had trained himself on that to make sur his attacks would never miss but he guessed he needed a lot more training then didn't he, but luckily for him his opponent had also missed him, so nothing was lost. However he also noticed the fireball the other mage had sended towards him but Marick blocked it. He had used his own skin to save him, well he had used his tuxedo but he was very gratefull. He needed to do something, he wanted to help marick even though he was at a much lower leven then he was. He would do his best to do the same for him. He formed an X in front of himself, as a strong wind began to blow and formed like an armor around him. ''My wind mail'' He said if Marick would have a look, after that he began to wave his hands and sharp scythes came forward and shot towardss the man that was attack him. The people had taken cover luckily so they would not take damage. ''I am holding up good'' he said to Marick when eh heard it. He hoped that the man would be hit and blown away by the strenght of his wind. However he could see him jump up to attack him again. As far as Ian was able to see this user didn't have magic, he only did combat, however he would not hit Ian so easily only by jumping up. Now that he had his wind mail on his own phsysical power had increased like just like his defense so he would be able to land a hit on the user with psychical attacks to if he had to.

As Marick gripped his sword tight and rushed forwards he got the feeling that he and this mage was very much even in terms of agility and accuracy. He took a slash at the mage, only for the mage to sidestep out of the way at the last moment. He was nimble, there was no denying that. But Marick had something that his opponent lacked, and that was the element of surprise. The mage was clearly a fire mage, or so Marick had established from his attack before. Marick had a multitude of spells at his disposal, one which was about to come very much in handy.

The mage powered up a fireball and launched it at Marick again. Marick smiled and gripped a card as it flew in front of him, casting it immediately. The card grew until it was about three feet tall and the face of the card revealed it was the 3 of clubs briefly, before changing into a shiny mirror-like face instead. As the fireball hit the card it simply disappeared as if the card itself had swallowed it. "I was wondering when I'd get chance to properly test this spell." he said with a confident smile. "Now...take your magic back." The card turned and pinpointed the opposing mage, before firing the fireball straight back at him. The man hit the floor and shuddered for a moment before pulling himself up to his knees. He probably wouldn't take another hit.

''Argh why won't anything hit'' Ian said as he was still flying and he began to feel a bit frustrated, as he could see his opponent jump from left to right slowly so he would be able to dodge anything that he would be able to throw in his way, however Ian was a super good actor and the way he just said his last sentence had a sound of impatience in it. He hoped due to this the new villain would think that he would be open for an attack but he knew better. He only just had to be sure the man was closeby and since he had been jumping up to try and hit him all the time he was sure that that would not be any problem at all.

He could see the enemy going up to him again as he was trying to hit him. His storm mail spell was still active and it would help not only with his defending power but also with his attacking power to increase. He could see him coming with his fist out towards him and Ian did the same however his fist was covered with wind and he was flying downwards maybe this would help only for a bit.

(Total HP 100%, Total MP 60%, four spells - flying, - storm mail - magic wind palm and wind scythes

By now it was clear that Marick had the upper hand. The mage was looking worn out whilst Marick had only a few minor burns, a sign of his dominance even despite the rough start. He gripped his sword tight as he rushed forwards, bearing down like a lion on its prey. The mage panicked and fired off another fireball, only for Marick to slash through it and deliver the finishing blow. The mage crumbled to the ground unconscious.

The Solitare wasn't finished yet though. He turned his attention now to the man that Ian was fighting. He couldn't close the gap immediately, he knew that much. However, he could buy himself some time. Ian had dealt a decent blow to the brute, taking his attention away. Marick ran up to the man and attempted to kick him as he got back up, but the cohort saw him coming and jumped clear before slashing at Marick with his knife, just catching the mage's arm. His movement left him wide open to attack though, and Marick capitalised by slashing diagonally at the man, knocking him a few feet backwards. Another hit or so would probably drop him.

Ian could see the other mage faint while he was still hovering in the air, and was glad he had finally gotten a hit on his own enemy. 'Yes only a bit more I can do this' He thought as he was a bit surprised to see him begin to fight his own enemy. However he got a bit scared when he saw that the attacker had a knife and had tried to slash marick. How dare he. This made Ian really angry. If you would try to hurt a friend of him you would have to face him. ''Stay back'' He said with fury in his voice to marick as he clapped his hands. A bit of his magic had returned and a hurricane was formed between his hands Magic wind Palm!!! He yelled as he pushed his hands to the opponent as fast as he could making a devestating hurricane, unfortunately for the opponent, he had jumped up when Ian had just tried to use his magic and if it would hit, he would not only be unconsious but he would have some wounds as well due to the falling to the ground and the rage of Ian. It was obvious he was furious as he kept flying awaiting if his attack would hit and that this, the fight to stop the wedding of a pair that was in love. Would stop, that jealous ex boyfriend of hers, had to watch out with whatever he would do next or he would not reach the end of the line if he kept hurting them and his friends, including marrick which deserved nothing better then a whole lot of respect for how well he fought unlike Ian.

Marick watched in awe as Ian completely smashed the cohort down. He knew the kid had potential, but that was still impressive given how he was a D-rank mage with very little combat experience. The wind magic seemed to obey his every command, something a lot of young element based D-rank mages had trouble with in the early days of their magical career. Marick remembered when he first learned his Fireball spell, noting how it had taken him quite some time to use it effectively.

As soon as the boy landed on the ground, Marick placed his sword back in its sheath put his hand on the Sabertooth mage's shoulder. "Good work, I'm impressed! You channeled your frustration into that last attack...that takes some practice..." He patted the lad on the back and laughed. "Whoever taught you how to battle did a good job." he continued before looking around. There seemed to be no sign of anyone else just yet, so it seemed the pair could have a short breather.

"So Ian...you're from Sabertooth? What's it like there?"

Marick had never been a part of a guild, but he was curious as to how it worked. After all, he planned to run his own guild one day, so he'd need to know more for when the time came for him to start setting his guild up. Also, if his guild members or guildmaster had anything to do with his training, Marick would love to know their secret. He pulled out his deck of cards and shuffled them as he waited to hear Ian's talk about Sabertooth.

Ian couldn't believe it as he flew back down. He had really been able to defeat an enemy or his first time. This was amazing, he had always thought that his magic and himself hadn't been that good so he was glad he was a bit better then he had thought of himself of. However he noticed that he was a bit on the exhausted side. He had never battles for so long and he noticed it took something out of him, an with that a bit of his magic was also drained.

When he felt his feet hit the ground he fell a bit down, feelig how tired he was. However he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up and could see Marick standing there as he gave him a compliment. ''Thanks'' Ian said blushing a bit. He heard him say that he who ever had him taught to battle had done a great job. Little did he know that he had trained himself and he was glad that he was complicated on him. He could notice that nobody was coming yet and he knew the guests of the wedding as well as the bride and groom were in safety.

He sat down as he was very suprised by what he heard marick ask him. ''Uh yeah I am from sabertooth is'' Ian said as he pointed to his guild tattoo'' and he listened further to him. ''Well it's awesome, it is just like a very big family we don't have a lot of other members however i wouldn't wanne be anywhere else. We just got a new building, you know you should really visit sometime just use the teleportation lacrima to get there in the old building'' He said smiling. He tried to really showed him that joining a guild was awesome.

"Sabertooth...you recently got a new Guildmaster didn't you? And a teleportation Lacrima? Interesting..." Marick replied. Maybe he'd have to meet the new guildmaster for a talk sometime, especially as he'd recently gone through the procedures Marick would have to go through to build his own guild up. "Maybe I will visit sometime...although it would have to be after I meet with your guildmaster to discuss a few things. I highly doubt he'd let me simply walk into your guildhall after all." he continued with a chuckle.

His attention was quickly taken away from Ian as he saw movement nearby. He gripped the hilt of his sword and walked back to the center of the churchyard, his eyes watching the newcomers closely. "It looks like rest time is over. We've got more company." he called to his teammate. The incoming men had seen the two of them already, and were most likely aware of why the two mages were there. Of course, the unconscious lumps that were their friends probably gave it away fairly quickly. The two men who came forward both appeared to be built similarly to the mage Marick had fought before, suggesting that these two were also mages. Chances were that they were different elements though. One of them was playing with some pebbles that flowed around his hand, while the other had a constant breeze blowing through his hair. Marick intended to take on the latter.

"It's such a nice day for a white wedding. It would be a shame to ruin it."
