Double Trouble (Dragofox)

Naruto stepped into the famous amazement park near the Peace Village. Following him was a pair of twins, slightly different from each other in appearance. “We’re here, Chris!!” “Mhm!” Naruto listened to the two as they cheered. It was both Zack and Chris’s dream to be able to go to such a place. It was a job Naruto took earlier that morning, and he still remembered how the little chat between the blonde mage went with their mother, Alice. She was a busy woman, working here and there, and she had so little time to spend with her kids, hence the job.

“So.. I should bring them to the amazement park?” “Yeah, you should. Well, actually they had been asking for me to take them there, but you see, my work is preventing me from doing so.” Naruto nodded, getting the gist of the situation. “So I’d expect you to take them there, and make sure they have fun.” Naruto smiled upon Alice’s request, agreeing to do his best for the job.

Sign of impatience could be seen clearly on the two children’s faces. It was understandable though, they were kids, after all. But Naruto wouldn’t want the two to separate, and so he told them earlier before getting in the park to stick together. He knew they would turn stubborn and do the complete opposite of what he told them to, but when that happens, Naruto would be there to cover up the situation from becoming sticky. “So now kids, where should we go first?” “Roller Coaster, duh!” “Nooo, Ferris Wheel!” The two had the complete opposite wants, and so Naruto decided to take a straw vote to decide which one of the rides should the two get on first.

After the voting, Chris won, and so the two children, along with the blonde mage rushed towards the Ferris Wheel. “Hurry Zack, we don’t have much time to waste!!” “Damn, wait for me!!" Naruto sighed, smiling after. He was relieved that the two boys were having so much fun together, and had hoped this would last until the job was over. “Be nice, kids!”

“Whew, that was fun!!” Zack shouted, delighted after their first ride. But they still had plenty of time left to try on every ride the park provided, and so Naruto acted as a mere guardian to only watch them ride, rather than riding along. “I guess it’s the roller coaster next, right?” Chris jumped slightly upon hearing Naruto’s sentence, maybe he had already forgot about the vote they had earlier after the fun ride on the ferris wheel. “Uh..” “What’s the matter?” Naruto asked, Chris was kind of spacing out, panicking for something. Zack watched his brother as they walked, shrugging.

It was a few steps later before Chris snapped back into reality, and suddenly dashed away from the roller coaster’s direction. “Damn!” Naruto turned around, Zack had already dashed his own way to the roller coaster. Not only they were separated, Chris was also too scared to ride the coaster, hence the claim to ride the wheel. Naruto dashed towards Chris, not wanting to lose him in a place with so many people around.

Luckily for him, Naruto was a mage, so chasing over a little kid wouldn’t be much of a problem. But there was something he didn’t know about them, and that he thought it would be easy to catch up with Chris. “Wait, Chris come back here!” Both of them ran past the ocean of people, as Naruto started to get closer to him by each second. As Chris reached Naruto’s reach, his shoes suddenly glowed, resulting in Chris gaining his distant from Naruto after. “Wait.. Speed Boost magic!?” Naruto thought to himself, surprised to know such a kid would have such a thing.

“Geez, maybe Alice bought it for them.” Naruto sighed, the shoes the twins were wearing earlier familiar to him. A hold type magic, sold in the form of shoes, made for people to be able to run faster. Chris was going too fast, and he couldn’t control himself, as obvious to Naruto’s observation. Chris tripped, and was about to face plant on the ground, but Naruto caught him before he could reach the ground. “There. That was close.”

“Geez, why won’t you just tell me you’re scared to ride the coaster?” “But Zack would be annoyed, then he would be mad at me.” Naruto sighed, as the two walked back to the roller coaster ride. On Chris’s hands were ice creams, one for him and another for Zack. “Nah, I’m sure he’ll understand this time.” Naruto chuckled, having never experienced any brotherly fight over each other’s differences before. Chris’s sad face were wiped away with the ice cream, with him trying to enjoy his chocolate flavored ice cream without having to bother about Zack getting mad at him.

Naruto walked to the coaster, and by then Zack had already went for his turn on the ride. “You rode it already?” Zack nodded, happiness clearly shining on him. “Zack, here.. I’m sorry.” “Thanks, and Chris, it’s okay. I wouldn’t force you to ride it anyway.” Chris smiled, relieved to know that his brother wouldn’t mind about it. Naruto smiled too, the tolerance as the older brother Zack had deserved a praising.

“Hey kids, having fun??” The familiar voice could suddenly be heard. The three turned to see who it was, and the twins were clearly happy after that. “Mom!!” They rushed towards their mother, hugging her after. Naruto sat on the bench, smiling as he leaned against the seat. It was a nice family scene, something he had never experienced before. “Lucky kids..” Naruto thought to himself, again with a grin on his face. “Hey there, let’s go!” Alice invited Naruto to tag along, something he didn’t expect. “M-me??” Naruto stuttered, suddenly awkward. The family nodded, requesting Naruto to spend some more time with the three before they part ways.

Naruto had fun himself, riding the remaining rides with Alice, Chris and Zack. Then there was the haunted house, the shooting booth and all. It was surprising a nice day for him. It was after all those ride that he finally had to part ways with the family, his job by then done. “So.. this is it, then.” “thank you, Naruto.” The two said together, smiling as the twins hugged him. “You’re welcome..” Naruto smiled, a bit down at the fact he had to leave. Alice waved him goodbye, and her sons decided to tag along as the blonde mage left the village with a smile, and a wonderful memory to remember.
