Personality: Artorias is a kind guy with the curiosity of a cat, he tends to go after things he finds interesting or cool, which usually causes him some trouble with those in charge of him.He often asks people 'What does oxygen taste like?' because he genuinely would like to know since he never tried it. Generally he treats everyone with respect and dignity, he even treats Dark mages with respect, because he has hope that they can see the error of their ways and repent their evil ways.
When he fights he usually doesn't take the fight seriously often joking about how 'nobody can touch him' which usually ends with him face down on the ground.The only times he takes a fight seriously is when people tell him or any of his friends that they had easy lives, which makes him scream at anyone in pure anger. He learns as he fights, the longer the battle rages on, the higher chance he'll win.
His parents or even the slightest mention of his parents makes him so depressed he wonders if he should keep on living.For he is embarrassed about his parents being demon worshipers. He tries to keep it a secret from everyone, even his friends. It's one of his life dreams to show them the error of their ways, so they can be a family.
He makes a fool of himself for pretty girls, usually because he wants to make them laugh, because he believes to make a woman laugh is the true way to make them yours. His relationship with the guild is good, he finds everyone in the guild to be free willed and very kind, all he wishes for is to have more woman in the guild, but this is probably a good thing not to have, for the good of his health.
He is a master of smoke magic, or atleast that is what he thinks, he keeps using this magic to remind himself were he came from, it's his 'security blanket' as it where. He uses it for almost all manners of attacking and defending, which isn't really the smartest idea since enemies can exploit his weakness.
