Night shift from hell job (Rei and Nightken)

When Rei first noticed the job on the board back at Fairy Tail, he knew that he had to do it but he also had to bring someone along who could offer a bit of muscle if something went amiss. He scanned the bar and spotted a familiar face Nightken was the only person who was in his mind suited to accompany him Rei just needed to tell him. So he approached the bar and slid the flyer over to him with the job description. “I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to Era?” he said kindly a warm smile spreading across his face. He knew that he needed to work on subtlety yet his gut told him that this was the right approach direct and to the point.

Sitting at the bar Nightken was drinking some coffee and reading the newspaper, when he went to put his coffee down he saw a job flyer in the way. "You do know it's easier to ask someone for help than putting something in their face." When he said that he read the flyer and finished off his coffee. "If we're going to Era we'll take my way of transport." He said folding the newspaper up and put it in the recycle bin near the guild doors. It was a sunny day and Nightken's wyvern was doing its usual sun bathing. "Tenshu time to get to work." He said to the wyvern as he climbed onto its back and waited for Rei to climb on for them to fly to Era.

Rei muttered apology after apology bowing his head furiously, he couldn’t believe that he had been so careless. Then again his people skills weren’t exactly the best he would just have to be more careful from now on. He followed Nightken outside the guild hall and into the sunlight. There under the trees he spotted a Wyvern which he remembered seeing at the festival as he followed along he couldn’t help but marvel at the creature sunbathing before him. When Nightken climbed onto the beast it was Rei’s turn to follow suit which he did with some difficulty until he was sitting behind Nightken. “R-ready.” he said nervously, and for some reason he knew he was forgetting something then it hit him. He was deathly afraid of heights so he wrapped his arms around Nightkens chest and shut his eyes tightly, because he knew what was coming even though they hadn’t ascended just yet.

Once Rei got on Tenshu took off at an easy pace, but still a bit quickly. Arriving at Era Nightken landed his wyvern a bit away from the entrance to the place mostly so they get complaint mail sent to their guild about a wyvern blocking the road. "You can open your eyes now we're at Era." He said as he pried Rei's arms off of him. Hopping off of Tenshu he started to head into Era. Looking around there weren't really anyone outside when a small gust of wind blew through the town it wasn't strong enough to blow anything over it just felt nice. "If this wind picks up we'll have some issues with this job." Nightken said looking around the town for the place they're supposed to go.

Rei opened his eyes and got unsteadily off the wyverns back or fell off rather. He tried his best to straighten up but his knees nearly gave out from under him so he had to take a minute to regain his composure. He really did not want to seem like a weakling or worse yet a burden to Nightken so he tried his uttmost to just shrug it off and smile if a little uneasily. Rei took in his surroundings and smiled as a gentle breeze ruffled his hair. "Good idea but you know.." he looked around again with that same boyish smile on his face. "This is my first time in Era but according to the information I acquired it shouldn't be far, shall we then?" he said kindly since he really did not wish to get on his bad side and it was best all round if he waited for him.
