Kyra, desperate to prove her worth, quickly absorbed the lacrima into her body, blacking out from the experience. When she woke, she was all alone in an alleyway in Crocus, a mangled corpse besides her, blood on her face, and a taste for human flesh. Terrified, she ran off. However, during this attempt at an escape, she heard of the guild Errings Rising and their designation to lawlessness. Had it not been for these liars under the law, Kyra would not have been in this situation, and so she set off towards the guild, where she now resides.

However, during her time in her escape, she found the truth behind this lacrima: the cursed Cannibal God Slayer. Following yet another day hungry in the wildernesses of Fiore, she found herself able to do a breath attack that left her stunned at the strangeness of its composition. She was now easily able to bite through flesh and bone as if it were nothing, and drinking blood found her invigorated. The darkness mess of mixed life force perturbed her, though not as much as the sudden spells of cannibalism.

In her time with her family, Kyra was always considered to be a sweet girl, always listening to what people had to say and following them without a second guess. She still mostly retains this attitude, though with a mild bit of more backbone in telling others against their wishes. She still prides herself on her kindness, but she still desires to push ahead against the whims of others for the sake of her own happiness. Even despite her unfortunate situation and the sudden driving demon that urges her towards cannibalism, she does not regret it, rather accepting the fact that this is part of the price that she has had to pay in exchange for magic. She is a remarkably quick learner, though she does not always show that facet of her well-working mind, often being too quiet to want to speak.

Despite these boons, she finds herself taking a mildly pessimistic or nihilistic view of the world, and especially of herself. She finds that many of the troubles that she now bears are the fault of her own, whether it be her father's company's dissolution, or her sisters disappearing, and she takes this hard on herself. When in battle, however, Kyra begins to act more unhinged. The Cannibal God Slayer lacrima takes over her personality ever so slightly, making her a fairly savage fighter. Despite the long-range capabilities the token Slayer Breath Attack provides, she prefers an up-close, hand-to-hand engagement, as it allows her to quickly gain power through series of quickened bites and spewing blood and crunching bone without having to waste time approaching the enemy after they are defeated. She favors using the weight of enemies against them and using her foes to attack their friends, whether it be with a quick shove or a flung corpse. Should she engage in combat with her allies, however, she takes a more defensive approach for the sake of her allies, protecting them from what may come their way. Should she see an advantage to exploit, she will abandon the ally for that advantage.

Personality: The youngest of twelve children of the formerly affluent international enterprise, the Velkhomme Family, Valkyria "Kyra" Velkhomme has faced more than her fair share of trouble in life, even prior to her current circumstances. Due to her lack of magic without the implementation of her slayer lacrima, which was unlike the entire rest of her family, she was ignored by most of them at best and mistreated at worst, giving her a lack of self-worth, both in actions and in appearance. She is quick to apologize, often apologizing before anything happens at all, or before even doing anything. These apologies often stem from a mindset forged by being blamed for many things, regardless of if she was truly at fault for those actions. She is a very quiet person, and the extent of her voice reaches only that of a casual conversation from a normal person. While her voice is quiet, she often dampens the sound even further with speaking into the sweaters she loves to wear so much.

Around people, she is incredibly awkward, often struggling to speak what she wishes to say, shown through her prominent stutters. While this stuttering dissipates when she grows in confidence, those moments are few and far between, often leaving many of her conversations being a series of quiet, stuttering statements followed by a series of apologies.
