Ethereal Bond Magic
Magic Type: Bond Magic [PET LINK]
Description: Emma has become entwined with a being not of the physical realm, now capable of freely entering and controlling ethereal matter that exists on another plane of existence parallel to the physical world by channelling it through the ethereal creature. Without Amari nearby Emma can not use these powers, meaning that the two of them must be close at all times, however, they do not have to be on the same plane of existence. This means that Amari can remain in the ethereal realm and gift Emma her own magical abilities and spells to use as long as they don't separate too far from one another.

- Description: A legendary war hero was once severely wounded in battle, losing control of his arms and legs. His life was rough beyond belief, but his spirit remained high and strong. He awoke one day to discover he had a strange white aura around him; and that he could move his arms and legs again. He was so overcome with joy he flailed his arms about, causing parts of the aura to shoot off of him and actually cause damage to his room. He didn't know how, but his spirit somehow manifested outside of his body, allowing him to use it for walking and combat. It wasn't permanent, but he did learn to control this new ability and bring it out to his will. It’s said that his descendants are the only ones known to be able to do such a thing.
Ability: The user forces out their spirit to emanate around them in a white (or black if you’re a dark mage) aura, allowing them to manipulate it in various ways.
Usage: Upon usage, the user loses the ability to cast any of their magic abilities. Instead, for once per thread and for 5 posts or until destroyed they can manipulate their spirit aura to fight their foes in a variety of ways like a puppet. The aura protects the user from all damage but will take it itself. The spirit is vulnerable and not affected by armor or defensive abilities, having the default HP of the user’s rank. If the spirit is destroyed the user will take 50% of their current HP in damage. All damage it deals is the user’s rank in spell damage.
Unique Abilities:
- Ethereal Realm: Due to their ability to control pure energy, both Emma and her bonded pet are able to freely travel in and out of the ethereal plane. While in the ethereal plane their magical signature and physical presence from all senses (sight, smell, sound etc.) is hidden and only able to be sensed by someone using an active sensory spell of equal rank or above of Emma, to which they will appear as ghostly versions of themselves. While in the ethereal realm they are able to move much like spirits, such as passing through solid objects, float slightly above the ground (max 5m above surface), walk on water etc. While within the ethereal plane they can still be affected by spells/attacks thrown their way, however, they will have 25% physical resistance and 25% magical resistance as their bodies are intangible.

Description: Coats a target within range in a thin layer of ethereal energy that increases the movement and reaction speed of the target, however due to draining a lot of magical energy to increase the speed beyond their normal limits, their spell damage is reduced, decreasing spell damage. While active immobilisation effects on the target will only be 50% as effective (become a 50% slow instead of immobile).

Description: User selects a willing target (themselves, bonded pet or other willing target) within range and transports them into the ethereal realm for up to 3 posts or till they take 120HP of damage (can still take damage from piercing affects and auxiliary spells even while in the ethereal realm). While within the realm the target is hidden from all natural senses (sight, smell, sound, magical signature etc.) however, they can still move as long as they remain within 50m of the caster. Should the target cast an ability or be seen through the use of an active sensory spell to which the target will instead appear to be a ghostly figure.

Description: Sends out a small barrage of thin tendrils made of pure ethereal energy that will attempt to latch onto the nearest 3 enemy targets. Upon striking a target these tendrils will wrap around them and lower their physical resistances and pull them around to slow them down.

Description: Ethereal energy is poured towards up to 5 targets that fills them with increased muscular movement allowing them to move and react faster while also countering any movement speed debuffs on the targets by reducing their effectiveness by 50%.

Description: Creates 5 ethereal tendrils that will attempt to grasp onto targets the caster selects. The first time a tendril attacks someone it will immobilise the target for a single post and latch on for the remainder of the duration where it will siphon their magical power (MP) each post by 5% as long as they remain within range/the spell continues to channel. A singular target can only be drained by a maximum of 5% each post regardless of how many tendrils latch on.

Downside: -25% Character’s Overall Spell Damage in return for a bonus +25% Strength
Description: Coats up to two targets in a powerful ethereal magic that sinks into their muscles and increases their strength by a large amount for the duration of the spell as long as the target remains within range of the cast origin (Emma/Amari). Anyone struck by a physical attack by the buff target will have 5% of their max health drained the first time they are struck per post and the buffed target will heal for 5% of their max health (once per post effect, can not exceed a total of 15% health regen per post as per magic rules).

Description: Coats all allies within AoE range in an ethereal mist that hides their physical body/equipment along with their magical presence (can be seen through with a sensory spell of equal or higher rank). If able to see through the mist’s illusion, the allies will appear as ghostly figures of themselves. All allies within the area will have their physical and magical resistances increased by 25% each as well as a small increase to their movement/reaction speed.
