Raijin, the Tempest God [WIP]

• God: This character is a God, and thus has power that must be feared. Their magic cannot be absorbed by Dragon Slayers, and they take 2x damage from God Slayer magic.
  
• Undead: This character was once dead and has been reanimated. As such, mind control, healing, and other abilities related to living beings will not work.
  
• Waking from Death: This character is slowly waking, and thus it is slow in gaining power. Each post, he speeds up by 25m/s, before reaching a max of 155m/s.
  
• Hunter’s Nose: This character has an incredibly heightened sense of smell, being able to ignore illusions and invisibility.
  
• Berserk: The character is berserk and cannot be reasoned with.
  
• Heavyweight: This character is extraordinarily heavy, and cannot be lifted or taken off their feet.
  
• Imposing Presence: This character has an extreme presence on the battlefield, causing those that are weak of heart to fall away.
  
• Immense Magic: This character has an immense natural pool of magic, causing all characters, summons included, that are A-Rank deal 50% less damage, with each rank below A reducing the damage by an additional 12.5% per rank.
  
• He Who Walks Between Worlds: This character has been accustomed to travelling between multiple worlds, preventing spells that alter the passive atmosphere (i.e. gravity shifts, oxygen content, etc.) to have no effect on him.

Job Description: Following Mai's approval into S-Rank, trails begin to emerge regarding the whereabouts of her father, Raijin. This leads her to the Silent Cemetery, where she is told that her father is waiting.

Upon arrival in the mysterious lands, she and her party is immediately accosted by a group of wizards who bar her entry, though they strangely seem to know who she is. Following their defeat, she notices an open mausoleum which, upon further inspection, reveals a tunnel into some catacombs. The catacombs wind and weave like a labyrinth, with a distinct smell of death and, strangely, rain. The party may encounter more wizards during their trip through the labyrinth.

Upon reaching the heart of the labyrinthine catacombs, a group of five wizards stand before a magic barrier, chanting a spell to break whatever is in it out. Despite the best efforts to stop this, they succeed, unleashing the horror within, which is revealed to be an undead version of Raijin, Mai's godly father. He is berserk from his undeath, and must be killed.


Enemies: Roll three monster dice for the first two encounters. Stats are fully healed following each encounter.

Encounter 1: Outside the Catacomb

• Enemy Rank: Weak: 5x C-Rank Wizards. These have all the typical stats of typical C-Rank Wizard, and their magic is up to the poster.
  
• Enemy Rank: Normal: 2x B-Rank Wizards. Typical B-Rank stats, magic up to the user
  
• Enemy Rank: Strong: 1x A-Rank Wizard. As with before, they have the stats of an A-Rank Wizard, and their magic is up to the poster.
  
• Enemy Rank: Boss: 2x C-Rank, 1x A-Rank.
  

Encounter 2: In the Catacombs

Encounter 3: Raijin's Revival

Entering the final chamber of the catacombs, five wizards are seen chanting, but they will immediately turn to fight as the party enters the room. These five seem to be incredibly powerful and work very well as a team, often combining into attacks. They will refer to each other by name, as they are the leaders of this cult.

Karsos of the Wind. This Wizard appears to be quite old, with a long, white beard to match his white robes. He uses various types of wind magic, though the specifics on how that magic is used is up to the poster. He takes the typical archetype of the "wise old man," and appears to be rather gentle despite being your opponent

Makairos of Storms. He is the twin of Eliatach of the seas, though he has a much leaner frame and a noticeable scar across his right eye. He is much more hyper than his brother, having little regard for the opinions of others, though he seems to be nice. He uses lightning magic, though the specifics are up to the poster

Alianna the Earthen. She is the leader of the group, and, despite her good appearance, she is evil. She is a master of earth-related magic, and her abilities are up to the poster to decide.

Encounter 4: Final Boss

Raijin, Reanimated God of Thunder
The foster father of Mai Stormschild, Raijin has been resurrected from the dead. He stands ten meters tall, and is as strong as he looks. A light purple aura radiates around his body, and the magnitude of his magic can crush enemies if they are weak enough. His once-jovial nature has been stripped away, leaving him to be nothing more than a beast, intent on destroying everyone and everything in his path. This may lead to the “arena” of the fight shifting as the battle progresses, whether it be walls and pillars being destroyed or the entirety of the catacombs being caved in. While his fighting capabilities have certainly been weakened from his time in death, he is by no means an easy foe, considering his status as a god.

Cultists' Memo: Found on Alianna's person is a small, leather-bound journal with poor handwriting. However, once the handwriting can be deciphered, it tells how the cult found Raijin's body, as well as the methods used to revive him.
