Personality: Out of battle, Axel is a friendly soul for the most part. He will always make sure to smile and wave at anyone in his company, and certainly help them when in need, but don’t expect too much from him besides that. This soldier is more results than words, refraining from talking about himself too much and usually only responding to others that want his attention. You will only really see him taking charge socially when there is a job that requires it. This is due to experiences in youth that made him realize not to be too showy or arrogant, and to just let the actions speak sometimes. This isn’t to say that he is exactly a recluse, as he enjoys hanging out with family and friends. However, most of the activities that he enjoys doing are definitely the ones that don’t require too much chatting, like going to see a play, a musical performance, or a game like chess.
In battle, Axel is just as simple. His strategies aren’t necessarily complex and brilliant, but consistent as he strives to outlast the opponent in a game of strength and endurance. Of course, when he has the right allies he would definitely try his best to consider their own strengths and weaknesses and plot something out from there, whether it works out or not. Although, he would be the first to admit that the title of leadership in any fight should go to someone else. Due to his rather straightforward grasp on combat, the knight considers himself best used as infantry instead of a position in front. Despite this belief, Axel continuously tries to really think through every battle he has had in the past, studying from memory to realize if there was anything that he could have improved upon.
Likes:
- Tournaments: Competing against other people is great, but what is more amazing for Axel is competing against other people in a bracket to determine who is the best there, especially in front of an audience.
- Performance: Axel loves going to see a play or musical concert as the people involved all show the same things that he strives for: passion and determination to get the job done.
- Games: Board games, sports, you name it. Axel won’t hesitate to say yes to anyone asking him to participate in a game because he will always like to show off his capabilities in any form.
Dislikes:
- Death-matching: Axel has no respect for those who enter a battle intending to land deathblows. He only ever intends to stop his opponent, never directly wishing for their end.
- Gambling: Axel may like competition, but he will never accept wagering anything over it. In his mind, the victory is enough.
- Trash Talk: Axel doesn’t respect people who call out their opponents before or after the match, as a battle happens during a battle. Not before or after.

- Rune Knights: Axel has always looked up to the Rune Knights as a group that protects Fiore from Magic threats. Not only does he want to grow into the most powerful mage, but he also wants to use that power to do some good for the world.
- Wizard Saints: Ever since he was a child, it has been Axel’s dream to make it into the position as a Wizard Saint. Despite a lot of people downplaying his talents due to his rather simple magic, he is ready to show everyone that he can achieve greatness.
- Ancestors: Those who have come before Axel wielded the same type of magic he has, and yet they have been able to master it seamlessly, as viewed in the Rhodes history books. He only wishes that with time he will develop as they have.

- Limited Magic: Axel’s magic is one that goes down a long family line from his father’s side, but it hasn’t been kind to the last few generations who have been given a simpler form of it. The knight fears that he may not be able to tap into its powers like his long-gone ancestors.

- Failing RK: Being welcomed into the Rune Knights is Axel’s biggest accomplishment so far, so he would hate to mess it up and be dismissed.
