Yuiisai felt like a princess trapped within a tower, she had just no idea how long she had been within the the safe embrace that her guild afforded her. Still right now that safety came at her freedom and this was something that she had issue with, but it wasn't exactly like she could argue with her family. The last time she left for to long a village had paid the price and were she was being taught that the weak give way to the strong it still weighed on her. "I am to be proud of my power." she said watching the snow falling through the glass window of her bedroom "But how can I be proud of something so destructive?" she asked sighing placing her head against the cold glass her eyes closed, as a she went silent trying to remember that everyone who cared and loved to her was within the halls of the guild. "This is my home, my family, no matter if my path eventually separates from theirs, this is my sanctuary. I must do everything in my power to protect it, to make it stronger and most of all made it understood that no one dare cross it's path in a manner not seen as proper." her voice becoming darker nearer the end of her sentence, as her eyes opened four elemental orbs seen in her eyes within the reflection of the glass. "I will never betray my family no matter where my path leads me, I will always return home to those whom love me as it should be." she reminded herself of Ahote's words the orbs leaving her eyes as she smiled softly.

She was thankful to her guild master and friend for finding her when she had previously misbehaved and left for the village, still she had no idea how she got there or why. She hated the fact she had amnesia for so may different reasons, but glad she had his guidance. "Maybe when I am allowed out on my own again I can get him a present as a thank you..." she spoke to herself as she pulled away from the window and started to walk down the hall towards Ahote's bedroom. At the moment she was wearing a beautiful golden crimson furisode which had a beautiful golden obi to accompany it. Her hair was done up simply in a matching silk cord with a sakura mother of pearl hair pin. She smiled to a few people as she walked down the hall towards her destination. "Perhaps if I ask him to go on a mission he'll allow me, it's been a while since the village incident perhaps it's time to try again..." she spoke to herself but then she worried about it happening again, she shook her head as if to get the doubt out of her head "They were weak, if they had been stronger they would have survived the misfortune. That's not on me but them." she said gently but coldly as she stopped at Ahote's door "My strength... my power is to be admired by my allies and feared by my enemies and the enemies of my family." she said with a bit of a nod as she tried to convince herself of her words. It was also a warning to not wander to far for to long or misfortune would meet her and those around her.

She slowly and hesitantly raised her hand to knocked the door but at the last instant pulled her hand back, she was scared of the answer he would give. What happened if he denied her request? If she wasn't strong enough yet? That she hadn't remembered enough to be out of the safety of the nest? She paced backwards and forwards for quite a few minutes as she talked herself into knocking only to talk herself out of it in her very next breath. It was torturous for her to say the least, however, eventually she got the nerve to place her hand of the door handle and with a deep breath push it forward to enter the others bedroom. "Ahote, a-are you around?" she asked looking around his bedroom. "I-I want to ask something of you..." she whispered entering fully closing the door behind herself, it was to late to run in her mind, if he was there he'd just chase after her down the hall and if he wasn't she was sure he knew that she was within his room so again there was no use in running so waited to see what happened next.

Metal fingers flipped through pages of thin paper, all sewn to a hardcover spine of a book. Ink from a fountain pen scribbled against the paper into the most elegant of writing by the hands of a man who went by Simon Kalavin. Of course, no matter how hard Kalavin admirers had searched, none could locate a man by that name. The poetic, dreamy-eyed writer had merely been a mystery with only their work to be left behind and appreciated. Among those readers was the raven-haired master, Ahote, who had been consumed by this work for several days. That was until knuckles tapped against his mahogany doors.

Ahote pinched the ends of his raven locks as his topaz orbs rolled over the pages, his lips a stale simper and his complexion its natural pale color. He had been on the floor by a closed, dusty window, surrounded by stacks of books and papers. He was quite difficult to see with his vest-suit and dark fabrics on.

The room quickly filled with the sweet zing that only one petite, soft-spoken companion of his could wear so excessively. With his gaze fixed to his titleless book, Ahote giggled as he heard the door click closed, "Have you ever picked up a Kalavin book, Yuiisai?" his gaze would rise to the figure of Yuiisai, his smile now a lopsided grin full of pearly whites, "The man is absolutely insane!" he slammed the book shut, peals of hearty laughter escaping his chest, "All of his talk about the end of the world and the salvation that comes with it is ludicrous, right? And yet. . ." his tossed the book aside and rose to his feet, gazing out of the window, "his vision of this world is so appealing. . ." Ahote's voice trailed off into a longing silence. The wind blew against the glass and was perhaps the loudest noise in the room. All this author's talk of the world burning in flames, and all that was now isn't, and if it anything still were, it was now ash. It was an Earthland with black skies and smelled of nothing but soot. It was a fate worse than a void, but absolute destruction and devastation. But from those ashes comes life for a new world. Everything reborn with a clean, fresh slate. It was humanity's opportunity to rebuild, and such an absurd, nonsensical ideology was somehow beautiful to the cold, bitter man.

A sigh escaped his nose and the raven-haired man would turn to face Yuiisai with complete attention, "Anyway," he started, folding his arms over his chest, "what is it that you need to ask me?" Ahote was displeased to have such interesting thoughts interrupted by the stuttering Yuiisai, as he could care less about her whereabouts or activities within the guild fortress. Returning to the fortress with the petite Yuiisai was simply a coincidence, and he had fulfilled his part by getting her medical attention. But beyond that? He assumed as much responsibility over her as any host would over their guest. Sol's whereabouts and intentions were but a trifal to Ahote, but in regards to Yuiisai, a nuisance.

Yuisaii was caught off guard to find her guild master giggling about something he was reading inside his book and shook her head to indicate that she herself had not. In honesty she had no idea as to what he was talking about, though if it entertained the other it may be something to look into in the future; as she didn't really leave the room she had been given much due to the rule of not going outside without another until she was better. "I can't say that I have Ahote, by what I've seen within my room I read things about culture, music, art, different countries, their policies and even some politics." she said honestly as she thought back on the things on her table, this wasn't bad as it showed that she had a specific skill set even if she couldn't remember it all that well at current. Seeing him slam down the book and his smile becoming nothing more than a lopsided grin made her concerned, more so as the taller male slammed the book into his table talking how the author was insane. It confused the petite teen as she had no idea why the other was giggling about it if it seemed bad, then he explained and it made a little more sense.

She moved a little further into the room and looked at the book on the table "The end of the world and salvation?" she muttered quietly more to herself than any other. "Surely if the world was ending we would know about it, but then..." she brought her finger to her lips as she thought for a moment "What if the ones in control are the ones who are going to cause it? Power corrupts they say... those on high use that power to keep people down." she said as if pondering a conclusion "If the world as we know it comes to an end, new leaders would have to be chosen to bring this world into a new utopian era." she continued with her train of thought her cloudy milky blue jade eyes "To save the world and bring into an enlightened era a person would have to get rid of those who have corrupt warped views." she said before going silent once more not to sure if this is what the other meant at all so tilted her head a little to the left smiling. "I'm sorry, I went off on a tangent Ahote. What is his view of the future? Why is it so appealing?" she asked wanting to see if there was something that she could help in doing, forgetting why she came for now as she watched the other was seemingly thinking.

It was only when he changed the subject and he asked what it was that she was there for that her thought process came back. The smile was ever present on her face as she seen her reflection in the window glass in front of them, she remained silent for a moment listening to the others breath to anticipate how he would take her request. "Ahote, I'm restless...." she confessed to the other holding onto her long willowed sleeves of her clothing "Since returning home I've not been allowed outside because of the rule that I need to be accompanied due to my memory issues." she said calmly, she understood the reasons behind it and to her it made complete sense, though at the same time she was a social creature and due to the amnesia wanted to explore and learn more about herself; but at same time she didn't want to go against his rules. "I want to go on a job, I don't care how small or silly it is but I want out of the guild hall for a while. Would you go with me? I mean as guild master there must be something you want to do and I would willingly help in that." Right now she would have walked the guild pet if it got her out of the guild hall or even ran an errand to one of the nearby villages on the mountain, anything would do as long as it was something that didn't make her feel like she was trapped in a cage. "If not I could go look at the guild's job board and maybe find something there that we could do together." even though she was desperate her voice nor her eyes showed it, in fact they seemed normal, after all he had said they were friends and friends to the best of her knowledge done things together. "We could even do something that your book is based on, bringing around a new era." she said her hand gliding over the book cover.

By that alone she could tell that it had something about out with the old and in with the new. "Our natural enemy are the rune knights and the magic council due to them viewing us as a 'dark' guild, but this is only their opinion." she said crossing her arms for a moment as she thought more about the whole situation "They're evil and corrupt holding many of whom 'they' deem as guilty locked up, but this might not be the case all the time." she said lowering one of her arms as she moved closer to the other "Why not show them that there are people that will fight against their tyranny and set these people free... perhaps even destroy the detention centre so that they have less power... inspiring more people to fight against them?" she said with an encouraging voice to the other. "You could bring around the new era were everyone could live freely." her voice gentle as she nodded believing that he had the qualities needed to help mould the new world into something better.

The supposed "restless" Yuiisai had almost caused Ahote's lips to quirk into a smile, although it had descended into something more bitter. The thought of having such immaculate amounts of passion for one's ideas or beliefs baffled the soft-spoken Ahote, who merely read about them as opposed to having any of his own. He had never given it too much thought or rather didn't have the time to think such trivial things. Basilisk Fang and those who wore their mark was perhaps of utmost importance and toppled over any other duty. To many, it was a sorrowful existence and a pitiful means of living, but to the raven-haired man, it was his bread and butter regardless if he enjoyed the taste.

Although his stomach had twisted and turned as if some dread had consumed it, he wore a smile against his pale complexion anyway. "Restless? I see. . ." he began quietly, curiously, "I'm glad that my reasoning behind this rule has gotten through to you, at least." Ahote sighed impishly, his face glowing with satisfaction. This "rule" was really the only obstacle the man with hair like tar has placed for the impatient Yuiisai who relied on him greatly, or so he was led to believe. The stirring restlessness within her was to be expected, but he left that problem to tomorrow's him for many days, though it seemed like he could no longer avoid it. Sluggishly, Ahote paced over to Yuiisai with droopy topaz orbs and fabrics that smelled of candle wax, "Any job is fine, Yuiisai. We could both use some fresh air anyway. . ." His gaze tiptoed over to the dusty window just adjacent to them. Although cold, dry air wasn't as refreshing as mint, he wasn't expecting to journey too fast from this chilly region.

The comment Yuiisai had brought up next had filled Ahote's through with laughter, though only puffs of choked air escaped his lips. His cheeks blushed a peach tint, "Yes, I suppose I could, couldn't I? That's certainly one way to get fresh air, yes?" Cracks of giggles fled from his lips in between words, his eyes bright with cheer, "If we sit idly by and let this injustice you speak of continue, we may not be any less cruel than the Council themselves. And what a wonderful way to nurture the spirit, wouldn't you say, Yuiisai? Is this era we speak of something you desire?" Ahote's gaze sharpened down at the petite woman, though his crooked smile was more than deceitful. There was nothing more exciting than the lives and thoughts of others.

Yuiisai carefully watched the other, her head tilting to the side just slightly she was studying every slight movement and action of her guild master wondering what he was thinking. She was hoping to see him smile but took note that his expression was something more sour, she wondered if she had caused it by disturbing him while he was busy or perhaps it was from the book he had been reading. The long raven haired teen had been getting better at reading people. This seemed to have come naturally to her, bending people's wills to her own so she could use them as puppets to further her own goals as well as his and her guilds. This had to do with her looks and what seemed like meek demeanour or her ability to switch to the knight in shining armour, after all there was always a man wanting to play the knight in shining armour to a damsel in distress or a damsel in distress looking for a knight in shining armour. Due to the uniqueness of her body she could move between the two rolls making her that much more deadly or manipulative depending on how one would go about looking at it, still she could never get a clear reading on her guild master. She couldn't help but think this was because he wore a mask of strength in front of everyone, after all he had the their safety and the daily running of the guild to make sure it survived. To her it was a blessing and a curse at the same time, she hoped to bring him some peace but right now she was unsure if that would ever be the case.

She remained silent just observing until the taller male spoke and nodded "Yes, I haven't been out since you told me it was dangerous. That for everyone's safety I should go with a guild member, everyone seems so busy though and I don't want to bother them." she said honestly to him smiling a little glad that her understanding of the rules pleased him, she never wanted to do anything that would ever make him sad or angry but knew such things would of course happen. She just wanted to keep such things to a minimum as much as she could, still she had questions but stopped asking things after she returned to the guild hall and with the showing of the ointment jar proving this was her home. She just had to hope that memories would come on their own and that she would find things that would trigger them or come across answers for them by accident, problem is there was very little to trigger things in the guild and answers to questions seemed to be even rarer. She grinned bringing up a finger winking a little "Rules are there for a reason, don't break the rules and don't get punished." she chuckled for a second bringing down her hand believing her words to be true. She went silent once more watching his movements as he spoke about how any job would do, they could both use with some fresh air. She had nothing against fresh air she just didn't want it in such a cold area, she didn't know for certain but imagined given her intolerance of the cold she came from a warmer climate.

She nodded to his words "Fresh air with a purpose" she said with a grin thinking she had a good idea, in honesty she had no idea that such a thing would do a lot of harm or if she had the voice that spoke reason to her seemed to be absent at the current moment. Then again even if it did do a lot of harm to common people what did that matter to her? They sided with the rune knights and the magic council, nothing but a mass of brainwashed sheep that done as they were told believing anything outside that was wrong. She didn't see stealing as wrong as long it was for the right reason, it was the same with killing but regardless of reason these things had always been punished by the fascists that placed themselves on high dictating what was right and wrong. That era of dictatorship had to end in her mind, and she honestly believed that her guild master was the only person suitable for such a large undertaking, she was just honoured that she would be able to help him with this regardless of outcome, she knew it would inspire others to rise up against those who looked to suppress the just of the world. She nodded to his words "Yes, this is something I desire greatly. People get punished daily for defending themselves or trying to feed their starving families." she said turning her head away "What kind of benevolent rulers do that to people? How can people not see the darkness within those they follow so blindly? It needs to stop! No matter the cost." her words held true conviction in her words, she knew in such an endeavour there would be collateral damage but this was something she could handle for the greater good of Fiore.

Yuiisai seemed to be a passionate woman on the matters of good and evil, especially within those of power. However, Ahote could only mimic her enthusiasm for the cause at this moment as his mind was cluttered with thoughts that were otherwise irrelevant to the matter. Of course, they weren't completely irrelevant. They somehow related back to Basilisk Fang, thoughts of how they were to progress forward when their stepping stones were underwater, or perhaps how to improve their living space could be improved. Ahote found himself thinking more of the technicalities of their ambition rather than the emotionally charged side of things.

Ahote shuffled his way over to a cluttered desk, leaning on its wooden edges while admiring the sputtering Yuiisai with crossed arms and his impish smile still plastered over his face. His gaze tiptoed over her flawless flesh, free of blemishes as she spoke, listening attentively. She was a pretty woman, for lack of better words, but a life as a revolutionary and rebel did not suit her. Wherever Sol had crept off to, the raven-haired serpent had wished he would retrieve her soon.

Quietly, the Master of serpents began to tap the tip of his toes against the stone flooring, hums escaping his itchy throat. "No matter the cost, indeed. Though once the deed is done and the Council is no more but a memory, this nation will be one of anarchy. But it isn't as if we haven't been looking after ourselves this entire time anyway, so s'pose the aftermath of our work won't be that much of an adjustment for everyone here." he joked about the bitter conclusion of their ambition, though whether it was bitter or not was to each their own. But in the beady eyes of serpents, they were simply facilitating an environment where everyone lived as they did.

With a weary huff, Ahote's smile faded into a warm simper, "So did you have a particular plan in mind for this spectacular request of yours? Go in head-first or should we save that conversation for when we get there?" he queried, having ventured to the job board himself and fishing around for a request worth fulfilling. Some dirty work was simply too petty for his liking. "Kill my cheating husband," some said, "Steal her pet cat," others read. The people who requested his services simply had no thrills awaiting him besides some time killers. He had hoped Yuiisai would quell his boredom with something more exciting than reading books of people who've traveled the world without really seeing it himself.
