Akeldama heaved herself up from her cardboard bed, clutching her head tightly. Oh god. She hated hangovers. A shame she hadn’t figured out a way to make those pass faster. She was fifteen years old, but easily looked younger given her malnourished size. It’d been about a week now since her last scam had fallen through.

She called it a scam. But the fact of the matter is that that family had actually factually adopted her. She’d actually had a home for awhile. And even though she knew it couldn’t last… It still burned that it had fallen apart like that.

Akeldama had been thrown out. Literally. She was still nursing the bruises from that last day after they found out what she’d been doing to them. The little girl looked out to the entrance of the alley way, sighing behind the cover of the trash can she’d used to hide from the masses.

As much as she could use her small size and age for pity, she needed privacy to sleep. And staying too much around other people could end up dangerous. For both her and them. But she had to go out there eventually. While it had been nice to have a long running con going on that family, it was time to move on.

It was keep moving forward or die starving on the streets for her.

The village below sprawled out, chilling winds despite this summer that had accosted the country still swept through the streets. They were ice farmers, what she wished to find here however was not the frozen remains of water. No it was some form of sustenance. Food, fish meat or vegetables, sweets or sour the village she stepped foot in was one of the many on the common pathway through the icy landscape, well known as a rest stop surely some of the livestock here had enough brains to provide a meal to a hungry feline on the hunt. Hands locked together, stretching back over her head the light female danced across the cobblestones of the streets. Frost laced air seemed to creep across her skin setting off every sense, they day was boring, weeks and months like this would drive her insane, better to find some sort of amusement before the sanity she had was dragged away from her.

There was a small one, hardly a scrap of meat on its body the bones poked through further than preferable. That stench, lowly human noses could have picked it up from alcohol reeked down the streets its source cowering behind the bin. Blue eyes sharp as she peered behind it, a slight chuckle raising from the womans throat as she stood there inspecting the creature in her partial form. Well there's a little one. "Child come here, its far too cold in this village for you." Soft face and fluffy ears which flickered slightly as she crouched down next to the scum. A slight smile on her face which seemed genuine, far to genuine compared to her normal sickly leer.

The sound of footsteps banged on Akeldama’s head like a dull hammer. She looked up to see an odd snowy looking woman staring down at her with a kindly smile. The little girl wanted to pet those ears. Badly.

She seemed to be nice enough. Akeldama was of course wary but… What did she have to loose? She was already homeless, destitute, and starving. And out of alcohol. That was the worst part. “Where are we going?” She asked in her meekest voice she could. She’d play the part of the harmless child if it got her to somewhere warm with food.

Even if that wasn’t exactly true.

oh sweet little human spawn, so small, rather thin and weak. No matter, muscles could grow and this was one that would not be missed by any judging by the discoloration of pale skin which had muddled into an inartistic mess of greens and blues. Where were they going? Well that would be quite the story, The smile stayed as she stood up and brushed herself off neatly, offering forth her hand to the child as if an elder sister or mother would at a busy place. "It's called Basilisk Fang, everyone lives in a very nice building together and we all look after each other. Its just at the top of this mountain, there will be some spare clothes you can borrow there. Its warm, always a bed and lots of livestock to eat." Cheeks blushed at the thought, whilst many would have thought that she was thinking of sweet cupcakes, roast chicken or juicy stakes the vague images of partially carved up livestock of the homo sapien variety flooded her mind.

She started off up the mountain, trudging the most direct and well beaten path. It would be best if she could lure it back to the guildhall, or atleast close enough before it tried to flee. A starved and cold rat when offered a warm place with food and fresh clothes would be odd to refuse such precious items. "So little miss, whats your name? I'm Ambrosia~ like the dessert!" Yet after a few moments her eyes returned to scanning the horizons for a dreamweaver whom she had last seen impersonating a pot of jam at one of the other villages.

Akeldama immediately was on guard at hearing that the woman was from Basilisk Fang. That was the dark guild, wasn’t it? Akeldama herself wouldn’t call herself pristine as far as morality went, but she only did what she had to to survive. And what was with that blushing anyways?

Akeldama lifted her hands up in refusal to Ambrosia’s hand, not following her. “My name’s Akeldama but… I…” The possibility of food and shelter was alluring. But she’d been taken for a ride too many times to be that easily lured into what was clearly a dangerous place.

Her desperation still got her in a lot of trouble sometimes but in this case if she followed it she wouldn’t just be lured down some dark alley- of which she was already in… With a member of Basilisk Fang. Oh dear. “I have uhhh… I thing I have to go to. I just remembered.”

Damn it. That lie wasn’t going to pass at all, was it? "A friend waiting for me. She'll know if I'm gone." A lie again. Akeldama had no friends. But if she was potentially going to be kidnapped by a dark guild member the least she could do to try and prevent it was try and convince her that trouble would come if they did take her.

It wouldn't come? A withdrawn hand and a sense of hesitation, It couldn't have sensed any hostility, perhaps it was the idea of going up the mountain or the guild. No matter, Akeldama was its name, a friend waiting. Ambrosia's brows drew together, portraying sadness so perfect it was as if she had studied paintings of mourning medieval ladies. "Akeldama your friend can follow us up." It wouldn't work, for the child to have gotten in such a state it would have had to be betrayed many times, already unsteady and untrusting a few kind words and the offer of food wouldn't get them far. The smile dropped from her face, muscles relaxing back into its more natural expression of dominance.

Amazing wasn't it, she had a pair of them where ever she went, the fluffy neon handcuffs would be familiar to their guildmaster if he was around. Feline senses quick her hands carefully licked behind her back, a moment spent regarding the prey. "The more you act up the less I want to feed you." Sharp acid leeched from her voice as she pounced forward with the handcuffs. It was something she had been contemplating and dabbling in for a while, with the guildhall being rather dirty they could do with a pet or two to take care of it better. Ahote wasn't doing too badly but the dog would benefit from another friend. She hoped to latch the human child's wrists in the odd handcuffs, honestly with such a tiny body it wouldn't be too hard to haul the meat sack up the oversized hill.

Would they accept it though? Not that it mattered much but honestly the entire procedure of acclimatising the new addition into its role would go much smoother if the others would welcome her addition of a new role to the guild. Or would it fit under guild pet?

Within an instant of Ambrosia’s expression darkening Akeldama activated her vision powers. She honestly had no idea what they were, but they came in handy in situations like this.

The immediate future she could see was the handcuffs coming out, her running past and evading them. Thanks to her vision no doubt, already she was pulling her hands away. She could see herself running into the bright light of the court yard, screaming that Basilisk Fang was trying to kidnap her.

A few looks of alarm. But no one came to help her.

At least its not my kid. Look away. Don’t interfere. Its just a street urchin anyways.

In her vision she could see herself grabbing someone’s leg, begging up to them with tears in her eyes. And in that moment they pushing her away and into Ambrosia’s waiting arms. Her sadistically gleeful smile beaming down at her.

She could see no further in her vision. Hopelessness threatened to drown her out. No one would come to save her. No one. Tears started to well in her eyes.

Was there even a chance in escaping? She… She had to try. Even she did not yet know what would happen if this woman caught her. She just barely managed to slip past Ambrosia, screaming her head off in terror.

    Mmmmmmmmmmm…. good.

The screams of terror were delicious to the Dreamweaver, who could feel the despair and fear in the air in bite-sized pieces. Oh, how she wanted more. Detecting the source of such delicacies, the blonde-haired woman began walking towards it. The Hakobe Settlements were always filled with some sort of grief or misery, but what she was sampling now was mere excellence.

The child screamed, running as fast as she could with adrenaline likely fueling her. In her path stood the Dreamweaver, wearing a blonde-haired young adult form with casual clothes. Green eyes shimmered as she attempted to catch the kid, and stared down with an eager, cruel smile. “Hello little girl~” the nightmare spoke, aiming to grab the girls wrists and keep a solid hold of her. Upon making physical contact with the girl, an illusory dog collar would appear around the raven-haired teen’s neck, with a golden tag on it.

One hand would aim to grab the tag and hold it up for close inspection and reading. The Dreamweaver clicked her tongue while she feigned a look of worry. “It seems you belong to someone called ‘Ambrosia’. I best take you back to your owner, hm?” she continued in a sympathetic voice. Upon snapping her fingers, a red ribbon would appear and begin to weave it’s way around the girl, aiming to tie a bow around her to keep her arms from moving. If she were successful, the child would appear as if she were ready to be put under a Christmas tree.

With the child so elegantly and gracefully ribbon’d up, the Dreamweaver would attempt to lift the girl in her arms and cradle her like one would a baby. She walked in the direction of where she was certain her teammate was, who likely had given chase. A tag appeared on the red ribbon that read: “To Ambrosia. Happy Unbirthday!”

It was odd, for one that had been so quiet, meek and listening carefully she had simply screeched, a uttering caw which seemed to have been birthed from the same depths of hell as her demons. Fleeing her grasp leaving the feline to stand there for a moment with the handcuffs hanging from her fingers. It was a little surprising indeed, her newest pet was running away. Perhaps she had found a vicious one! The screeches set off a familiar feeling within her, the pickling bumps which rose from her back, spreading around her neck and across her ribs, the euphoric feeling which slid across her stomach and thighs. Traumatised screeching of livestock always did that, setting off a flurry of warm feelings within her. She knew another in the area would find them quite satisfying too.

Oh good, it was the one she had been hoping for, whilst it would have been hard to recognise it due to the constant changes in appearances the feline noted the demeanour, the feeling it was something rather familiar. One the superior being could lavish in. The exceed hung back, the handcuffs neatly swirling around as her neon eyes glanced upon the scene which was unfolding, sweet hair of a rich honey blonde, in the body of mature livestock. Veronika, she was dancing with her prey, a collar soon appeared around the youthful humans neck as her own brows raised. The next few moments interesting her deeply. Was it annoyance? No not quite, she noticed the way that the dreamweaver had read the collars tag, making out the letters which would form her own name.

Smooth movements as the Nightshade slayer wound her way towards the duo, appearing relaxed as she prowled. "Why Veronika my sweetpea what is this? For it is neither my birthday nor is it christmas yet I do see a sweet delectable gift here you hold. With my name on it." A chuckle, soft at first it grew mocking as she motioned towards a frozen patch of ground. "Do not hurt yourself by carrying it. Just dump it and we can drag it up. Pity it didn't seem to welcome the hospitality and promise of a kennel we offered otherwise the creature would have walked up by itself." It was more of an annoyance than anything.

No one was coming were they? She knew that, she had seen that. But she had not seen this given that she had changed her path due to the vision. It was hopeless. Surely there would’t be an escape. Even if she could get rid of these ribbons, she could feel the stranger’s grasp on her was tight.

But the texture of the silky ribbons around Akeldama was enough to make her skin crawl. The memories attached to such luxurious fabrics for her were not as quaint as most people would assume. She activated her hex magic, in particular one she liked to call Riches to Rags.

Before their eyes the ribbons aged rapidly and decayed, loosing much of their silky sheen and resilience. Her wiggling was at least getting her farther as the fabric fell apart. And she could even see now as the ribbons fell away from her eyes.

A kennel? A goddamn kennel?! She growled at the pair, trying to distract from the tears in her eyes as she looked around desperately for anyone at all who might help her. They were all turning away. Ignoring her. As if her life didn’t mean as much as their precious ones just because they had a roof over their head and families that loved them enough not to throw them out on the streets.

She hated them. She hated them all right now. “Go swallow a gallon of glass you over glorified furry! I’m not going to be your pet!”

A small part of Akeldama knew she should calm down. She was only making things worse for herself. But would it really matter? This was Basilisk Fang. No matter what she’d end up in a cage. But maybe she could make things better?

Everything hurt right now too much to really take that voice of reason much heed though.

A delighted grin shot back at Ambrosia upon her teammate recognizing the unique gift the Dreamweaver had in her arms. “Just for you, my dear Ambrosia~” the blonde replied with a sickeningly sweet smile, before glancing back down at the raven-haired girl. Some uncanny magic was making her beautiful ribbons decay. The source seemed to be the girl in her arms.

The ribbons were just about done decaying off of the girl by now. At that point, the insult towards the exceed was hurdled into the air by the childlike teen. As soon as she told Ambrosia to go swallow a gallon of glass and listed her as a ‘furry’, the Dreamweaver aimed to drop the girl on the frozen patch. Upon doing so, she would then lift her leg to step on top of the girl, as a hunter would do to his catch.

“Now, now, there is no need to be rude. If you cooperate, we can guarantee mediocre comfort the rest of the way,” the nightmare said, gazing down at the girl with gleeful green eyes. She paused for a moment, however, as if she were thinking about something. “Then again, you don’t have to cooperate if you don’t want to. That’s always many times more fun and delicious~”

Exhausted wasn't the right feeling which brought forth his persistent display of frustration and annoyance. From the every moment he'd return to the daunting slope of Hakobe, to the time where he'd be departing elsewhere, was clearly contrast to where and when he'd be receiving daylight. Certainly it was not here. The gloomy base of the mountain was met with unexpected company just past the raging torrent, where the darkness had taken toll on the villagers who appeared just as sullen as he did. Everything was in a poor state— from the poorly built homes and the many that lay freezing on the streets. Some might've found themselves far to measly to even leave this place and discover a better life elsewhere.

Theo had felt sorry for them, yet he kept the golden faced downward. The last time he had bothered to help, he'd nearly been stabbed in regards to his affiliation. It wasn't as if he could deny that either. The villagers hardly sought aid in anyone, especially if they came from Serpents— he could protest loudly that his friend was not as cruel as what had been presumed. Then again, it was not as if he was truly aware of everything Ahote had done. Despite being a genuine friend, there were things they had yet to converse about, secrets they had not found the courage to reveal.

Forced from the depth of his thoughts, the shrilling cry of a voice resounded loudly into reality. Just to the front, a few lengths away stood a pair of woman with one holding a child in her arms. Desperately she was looking around, openly seeking help in the clarity of her wet cheeks and terrified gaze. Theo hadn't grown very familiar with who exactly was apart of the guild, though the other two felt oddly familiar. Furrowed brows deepened in irritation, beginning to approach the boisterous dilemma that was being disregarded by the many citizens of this gloomy town. Or had they rather been to frightened to step forth?
"What the hell are you two doing?" he'd start, the discontent practically dripping off every word, arms folded and glare unwavering of hostility.

Ohhh she was more like a little terrier, all growls and barks but when it came down to it all she could do was break away the ribbons. "Swallow a gallon of glass? Well i don't think that would taste rather nice. Pups need to learn not to bark." Yet it seemed that the dreamweaver had it under control. Much like an apex predator after finding its prey her teammate was well acquainted with playing with their food, after all it really did draw the flavor out. Well the slayer could allow her partner to toy with it a little, after all she herself could eat later with emotions, well they were best fresh and raw. Certainly her partner was thirsting for something to quench her insatiable hunger.

Another had approached, the roach at first standing on the outskirts, just observing as it seemed to grasp at an idea for what was occurring. Yes, She had seen that one before, the hostile gaze which seemed to indicate it thought they actually had something, some scrap of power. Neatly painted the neon blue nails glistened, she stroked down the dreamweavers arm as if they were parting, eyes rolled for emphasis as she spoke. "I'll go take care of this one, would you mind taming that thing~" A flicker of her nails indicated to the young human girl whilst she simply strode down to the male who had questioned their actions. Ears and tail receded as her cheekbones became slightly more prominent, oh it was quite pleasing the way she could switch back to the fully human form, its eyes were so much more piercing than that of a feline woman used to lure away children.

Smoothly she circled, mouth quirked into a smile as she made a mode to gently hold his right arm, tracing her fingers over the guild mark shaped like that of a snakes head. She too had one, neon blue it stood out against the pale of her neck. Perhaps she would get it moved one day yet that was not her current worries. "You see, my teammate and I have found something fun, we're going to keep it as a pet and bring it back to the guild. Now I would do the same with you except from the looks of this brand you've already been claimed~" Eyes saddened as she once more gazed at the mark on his forearm. "Quite a pity, you're rather adorable. Don't worry just be a good boy whilst we sort that out." Brows drew together as she softly made a move to flick the end of his nose. Much like an owner would do if their cat had just eaten something it shouldn't have.

Akeldama hit the ground hard, even having freed her hands it was far from a graceful landing. And within seconds she was pinned underneath this one’s foot. Akeldama was silent in terror. She was afraid of doing even more harm by her actions to herself.

As much as Akeldama had her pride and valued her freedom, she couldn’t have either of those if she was dead.

While the newcomer upon the scene did a lot her some measure of hope, she wasn’t going to get too rilled up about it considering that he and she were apparently going to be part of the same boat pretty soon. Except the fact that he was allowed to roam around without a collar.

She’d be lucky if she got even that. Pfft. Listen to her! Lucky! To be fair she had had worse. But it was the unknown of what these new people might do to her that terrified her. “I’ll be good.” She said in a tiny voice.

Their fun was cut short by the approach of the chocolate man. Veronika recognized him as a fellow guildmember of Basilisk Fang. The Dreamweaver realized Ambrosia was reverting to a much more human shape, leaving behind all of her exceed features. She confronted the man while the nightmare stayed with the young Akeldama, a foot still pinning the child down. The raven-haired girl expressed that she would be good, which slightly disappointed the blonde. She truly did wish they would get a little more action out of the young homeless girl. Unfortunately, the Dreamweaver was a triangle of her word, for now.

“Stay put, or I’m pinning you down with a spike and not a foot,” the nightmare said, green eyes smiling down at the young Akeldama for a few heartbeats before refocusing on their guildmate. Taking her foot off of the girl, the Dreamweaver walked towards the chocolate-haired man, chuckling softly as Ambrosia attempted to flick his nose. Perhaps this person would be more fun than Akeldama was for a few moments. Anger was certainly a delicacy, and was the starting point for even greater and better-tasting feasts.

Just as the nightmare was walking, she would vanish out of sight and reappear behind Theo, aiming a hand to gently touch the back of his head to nudge his focus in the direction of the young Akeldama. “What do you think about our specimen? Won’t she be a great pet, or would she be better off a meal on the dining table?” the Dreamweaver asked with a feigned innocent smile.

The figure that was poised of features that were prominent in that of a feline dissipated into something much different, shifting and reeling like a flower that so naturally lit up in the light of the sun. Two acute looks bared into each other, clashing of a vile nature and one that was simply bothered by the act of tormenting a child. If it had been anything else, perhaps he wouldn't have looked twice. Her presence was stiffening, the creeping slither of hands firmly knotted against the right arm, though Theo kept still and listened to her speak. A flaring anger was boiling over within, the opposing hand reaching to grasp to the wrist of the other before she could've managed to trace a finger to his features. Whatever it was that had been planned, swiftly the decision had formed.

"You're full of shit," venom traced the voice, brushing the raised tool elsewhere, "That kid does not—!" startled by the touch, though not enough it enacted a jump in the frame, golden eyes wandered towards the still fallen youth. How the other had appeared so aimlessly to the back of his shadow was the least of his concern, even if it might have been vaguely curious. Appalling words drifted upward, like a whisper of the wind tickling the nape of his neck. Whatever the pair were, they were quite confident that anything could have been made a meal. Just what exactly that entailed was the route he had not been willing to let the other discover. Theo stepped away, taking few paces towards the girl before facing the apparent source in this eerie dilemma.

"She doesn't belong to you," the furrow remained as he continued, "There is no way in hell I'd ever be claimed, not by you vermin or even Ahote." it was simply the truth. What had occurred in his entrance to this gloomy establishment was formed merely by the bond that had come since their first meeting, "Nobody here is your pet, not if I'm around. Why don't you crawl on back to the trash you both crept out of—" the harsh impact was pursued, though not much else could be said. Being viewed as a pet was something he disdained more than anything. A memory that haunted him in the notion of anger. Recognized in a girl who couldn't do much against her much more influential attackers.

The dream weaver seemed to have quite a good hand with children, after all the last she heard was a slight whimper of submission. As if it were a command her teammate appeared behind the one she was tormenting, of course this only deepened her leer, backup had arrived. She could feel the male humans disgust, stiffening of his muscles as he spat out the words.  He had been surprised by the flick to the nose, ohh the poor thing. Unsettled so easily, he was one of those who needed a little dog bed with four walls and a roof so he felt comfortable.

Aiding her in drawing out the deepset emotions of the other superior taunted Theo, luring him into a trap of red hatred. "ohh doesn't she? Well you see the problem there is that, ahote is a dog. Pets can't claim other pets." A saddened look, pity for the foolish human crossed her face as she spoke, aiding him to understand. Nobody was her pet? Well it would be hard for an imbecile to understand, honestly though being a 'pet' was a compliment! oh she took such great care of her favorite pets.  But he seemed to fall into place, for Veronika had grasped his head with the softest of touches, conveying such a sense of mastery over others- well she was proud of her partner.

The soft laugh came from deep within as she spun around, making her way towards the fallen child. "Now Akeldama, My partner will follow us with that terrier but we are going to go up the hill now, you'll behave." When said by other you'll behave might have been asked like a question. yet she didn't question, the sentence had been a statement, commanding the youth to follow her as she took a few steps towards the guild hall.

She was not going to dare to move until she was commanded. No stakes for her birthday. Oh god it was her birthday. This sucked. She watched silently in fear, quiet until her future sight ability came back. Hoping it might prove some level of useful. That she might have some glimpse of hope that things wouldn’t go so terribly.

What she saw was less than splendid. There were echoes of what might happen, but there was one most prominent. One she didn’t want to see. “Don’t… Don’t interfere.” She said in a small voice, hoping to perhaps somewhat forestall the future she had seen. Maybe it wouldn’t end so badly.

But no. It would. It always did.

“That’s cute,” Veronika whispered into the chocolate one’s ear from behind, having followed him as he moved towards Ambrosia. She placed a hand on his back, her eyes closing as she began to decipher what he had hidden in the past. “Adorable words for one so pathetic.”

As she uttered the words, she would attempt to utilize some of her personal powers. The Dreamweaver did not have magic in the traditional sense of those from the physical realms. Instead, she had her own innate abilities, and would use them when it meant the promise of food. She would attempt to use such surreal abilities to paralyze the man, making him go limp. Using her gentle hand, the Dreamweaver would try to push him over so he would have landed on the frosty ground. From there, she generated some tethers and chains to bind him with, much like ones Theo would remember from that place.

All around the two, a scene would manifest itself, the surrounding melting into what her guildmate would remember as the place where he was imprisoned. Only she and Theo could see it, as to not confuse her teammate and the new pet too much. “How does it feel to be helpless, like the terrier you are, dear Theo?” Veronika cooed with delighted venom dripping from her voice. A cruel sparkle in her eyes, she pulled another thing she could imagine from his past-- a scary syringe with an ever so pointy needle. Bending down closer to the hopefully fallen man, she would attempt to stick him with it. Flowing out of it would be a sensation of burning acid searing through his veins.

Veronika cast a glance over her shoulder towards Ambrosia and the raven-haired girl as she removed the syringe temporarily. “Wait just a moment, my friend. I still know a way to put your new pet to good use. Mind if I borrow her for just a few minutes?” the Dreamweaver asked with a giddy smile, her jaws parted as she tasted the delicious energy in the air.

To be retained as something akin to an object of amusement could hardly control the force of enmity, further driving the daunting feel at the remark of his friend. Never would it be allowed in his mind, that his existence was meant in captivity. Especially for one that should have never beheld such words in a life that had been scarcely more normal than his own. "What did you say?" threatening was the voice that deluged past grinding teeth, as if pressing that the foul woman would disregard her insults in another place and at another time. "You aren't going anywhere." softness drawled out from the stillness of the cool air, the town separating elsewhere of company. It had seemed those that had originally been ambling onward grasped the omen of this current situation, especially the young girl. From what Theo could tell, it was hardly concerning until the blonde settled a hand against his back.

"Real insulting, coming from you." though spoken with confidence, as the figure turned from the other, a weightless sensation took hold. From the tips of his fingers to the bottom of his feet, there was no feeling. So overwhelming that Theo was unable to grasp balance in spite of how harmless the urge was, descending into the cool earth with a distinct thud! Arms trembled, the upper half endeavoring just to keep itself lifted through his suddenly powerless state. The gloom dulled, fading into what could've only been presumed as a nightmare.

    His nightmare.

Theo moved once more, harsh metal restraining the wrists, identical to what had been used in the flutter of the past. From bindings they extended to one that coiled against the neck, keeping hands in place. "You... bitch...!" the vile insult was forced through his sluggish ordeal, glaring up at blonde, "Get out of my head!" few seconds passed through the spirited look, eventually closing the sight due to his current "surroundings". Truly in desperation, in the darkness to the back of the curtain did he know this couldn't be real. That in all of the places, in all of these times, the scene would return to the reality of this dreary town.

An alarmed breath discarded itself at the terrifying feeling, the golden peering from the lashes as he buried himself into the whiteness of the snow. Rather than to spout out more curses, the agony strangled him in the sensation, biting fiercely on the impulse for tears. The last thing he wanted was to look weak, as much as it hurt. Unsteady breaths melted the layer beneath, fingers fisting as far into the cool substance that he'd met the frozen earth. With so much going on, it was difficult for him to discern how much he wanted to kill these two.

OH she had simply read her mind, terrier, it was the perfect animal for the human after all. Small with wiry hair and tiny sharp teeth, didn't really hurt after you got bit but had a rather loud bark. Far too much energy. The question, a querie followed which but her on edge slightly, the grin which was smeared across the dreamweavers face was one of euphoria, the same one she herself got sometimes and it simply wasn't fair that the other got to ride such a high without her. That didn't stop a golden smile from corroding its way across the exceeds face. "Well of course I would adore to stay and watch the show" whatever happened it was bound to be amusing. With a stern hand she moved to steer the young human towards the other female who had so expertly wielded a needle. Acid too, her personal favorite choice. "Now Akeldama go help my partner." Voice stern as she settled slightly, leaning against the rock

The terrier was lunging around, movements uncoordinated and a real mess. Now this, well it was something she could watch to get hungry before her next meal.

She wanted her future vision again already. She could not see what Veve was doing with her powers or the needle. But she could see that she was making him freak out. It must be some sort of witchcraft. Akeldama sat up slowly from her position on the ground, rubbing her back where she had been dropped.

Akeldama supposed she did not really need her future sight to know that things were going to end up badly. She stood up slowly, dragging her heels as much as could be assumed to be fair given she’d just been dropped on a patch of ice, until she was at Veve’s side.

Help her… Akeldama clenched her fists in preparation for whatever was about to be asked. “I’m sorry.” She muttered down to him, finishing the sentiment in her head with, she hadn’t lived this long by having stupid levels of sentiment for strangers.

He was the only one to try and help her. Yes that was touching in its own way. But what good was it? He was just as helpless as she was. Whatever they asked she would do it. Akeldama was a survivor, the rest of the world her enemy. It had done everything it could to destroy her, but she always came out of it alive… Though not always in better condition for it.

The nightmare she had to offer stoked all kinds of emotions. From what the Dreamweaver could taste, the predominant one was anger. Why would he not be angry with the two? His demand for her to get out of his head was met with an amused chuckle. It was really a shame-- she had not completely broken him yet. Fortunately, anger was the tipping point for a tasty downhill spiral. However, before she could fully bring him to despair, Veronika wanted to deliver him some real pain that was not so easily ignored or muscled through.

The Dreamweaver refreshed the appearance of the surroundings for Theo, attempting to ensure that he would be trapped within the confines of that prison he once knew. This scenery would be unseen by the raven-haired girl and the exceed, but would reinforce what she wanted her guildmate to feel. A smirk on her face, Veronika generated a plastic spork out of thin air into her hands and handed it to the child who had trudged up to her. “Akeldama, my dear, I have a very important task for you. Remove one of Theo’s eyes and give it to me. You can use this if you want,” the nightmare said, handing the plastic spork to the young teen.

Veronika leaned back down towards Theo and stroked his chocolate hair gently. “Tell me if this is all in your head, terrier,” she chuckled, green eyes flicking back towards Akeldama expectantly. She not only wanted the reaction of Theo, but of the small girl as well. She would stuff as much food on her plate as she could. Besides, she needed one of those golden eyes for something very important. As for her guildmate, she was not cruel enough to leave him without an eye. She would make him another one just like it if he wanted, by the end of this, or an even better one. For now, however, she wanted him broken. She wanted to taste despair.

A body that was not made as what functioned seemingly in the appearance of human, was still subject to the torrid kindle of acid creeping through. Teeth clenched so firmly together that they could have broken, fingers so drawn into the rugged earth that the nails might have started to peel. Once it had extended as far as the mind, few whimpers slipped by the narrow crevasse of his pearls, vision whirling against the force. He closed his eyes tight, as if some form of pressure would deluge what splitting sensation pierced through his skull. Words floated above like smoke, hazy and difficult to perceive. From the now closer view of the younger girl, the silent mutter of an apology broke through the agony.

Anger was overlapped by the discomfort of dread knotting itself into his chest, an airy sensation that teased him simply for the joy of enacting the plague of fear. Surely he knew what was happening, and despite his tolerance for pain, it didn't exactly mean he relished in the feeling of being picked at like a meal. Having pieces torn away, over and over again. It was something Theo would never grow familiar with. "Do... it!" compelling the voice against the unease of his breath, the crown tilted upwards, "Just... do it!" from one he had been willing to shield from harm, now faced by the collapse of stress was only intact if he could manage the burden. It did not matter what they took— in the end it would all come back. Within days, within months, or perhaps years. How it came to be full once more was an honest mystery. Perhaps it was why the organization had so intently tore him apart.

"You're nothing without... these illusions—" he muttered out, taking time with each rise and fall that tore through his mind, "—you know... nothing... about me...!" the sickly warmth curled through the cover of strands, draping across the crown. He'd turn elsewhere if possible, yet the strength had fallen so far into the void that it was left to be desperately sought in the dark. For now the choice was left to the girl, the true victim in this entire ordeal. Perhaps if he had chosen the alternative, ignoring this from the beginning, the both of them wouldn't have been confronted by such a nightmare. At least now, there stood a chance of something else as he lay against the icy touch, the insides of light clashing against the heat, the wavering gold glaring at the blur of figures above.

The child was moving towards veve, who still had such wonderful control over theo. Yet there was no doubt that what Veronika had in mind for the tiny human was less than pleasant, after all it would be rather boring otherwise. A soft smile crossed her face, watching carefully as the destroyer of dreamland lips formed the words she had been so ecstatically waiting for. A plastic fork exchanging hands. Removing an eye of Theo would be quite nice, of course most humans quite liked to still have eyes so they often screamed a little more than other species. Yet her partner was treated the younger human more closely than she would have preferred, perhaps it was just a tactic to lure it closer and deeper into their tendril like grasp. It might have just been her way of doing things, kind words and gestures to relax them and lower the wall. Before the two of them destroyed any possible question of sanity left.

He had been deeply affected by her, stuttering about the illusions this, and knowing nothing about him that. Really now when it came down to it he was in a dream and the Dreamweaver had all the power.
