Personality: Toward most people at first meeting, Aisu is standoffish and distrustful. This is more prominent toward men due to her history, but most everyone is still kept at an icy distance. Upon spending some time with the ice mage, you would eventually witness her cold exterior cracking to reveal an actually kind-hearted person within, simply ruined by years of untold pain and mistreatment. Once you gain her trust, though, you will find her to be loyal to a fault, fiercely protective, and actually rather friendly. She sees her friends as family, and as such will do anything to keep them safe. If you do something to lose her hard-earned trust, you will never be given a second chance with her.
When not with people, Aisu truly shines, though. Her creative spirit often comes out in ice sculptures and charcoal drawings, and she is almost always humming a tune - even if she can’t seem to carry one when singing. While most of the time in public she has a controlled, flat expression, in private she often has a happy countenance. She has a similar behavior toward children and friendly beasts, often sweet and gentle with them where toward most she would be distant.
Of course, this does not mean she doesn’t have her bad days. There are days when she scowls at any who come too close, and breaks down in private silently screaming at the powers that be. These days often come after hard missions, but sometimes just come at random, triggered by something she would never admit to. On these days, it is simply best to give her space, as pushing her could end with you finding yourself injured or given the cold shoulder.
When in close, intimate relationships - either platonic or romantic - Aisu is quite affectionate, and at many times can be quite needy for affection. This is especially true in romantic relationships. She is wary to start one, though, and will break it off at the first sign of anything possibly growing violent. This fear often makes her try overly hard to please her partner, sometimes even subconsciously changing behavior to try and be more appealing.
In combat, Aisu’s ferocity comes out. She has no concept of holding back, it seems, throwing herself entirely into whatever challenge she faces. This isn’t to say she doesn’t know how to fall in line behind someone when they take charge to lead, though she might buck their authority if she thinks their strategy is unwise. If the person has earned her respect she would usually follow them anyway, but might be quick to place blame if things go wrong.
However, there aren’t many things that can prompt her into a fierce battle. Obviously, threats to the wellbeing of herself or those she cares about, but also if she witnesses abuse - whether of power or domestic. Betrayal, or perceived betrayal, can also be a one way ticket to her attacking you with all she’s got. Should someone surrender, however, she will always be merciful and let them walk away - but not without consequences.
Likes:
- Having somewhere to belong - Having felt like a outcast since she was young, Aisu enjoys feeling like she has a place where she is accepted and belongs.
- Cold weather - As warm weather simply makes her uncomfortable, she much prefers the cold.
- Small animals - She thinks they’re cute.
Dislikes:
- Drunk people - They make her incredibly nervous.
- The sound of breaking glass - Also makes her nervous, but can also cause her to have flashbacks.
- People acknowledging her scar - She doesn’t want to talk about it and would rather forget it’s there.
Motivations:
- Having a family - Above all else, Aisu wants to have a family again, even if it’s formed by friends. After all, the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.
- Gaining recognition - She would quite like to be looked at in some form of awe when people meet her, as most would.
- Becoming stronger - Aisu wants to be a more powerful mage, constantly seeking knowledge and strength.
Fears:
- Rejection - Aisu fears people she cares about turning their backs on her, hence her reluctance to open up and her eagerness to please once she has.
- Spiders - She calls them ‘creepy crawly death dealers’ what else is there to say?
- Drowning - She actively avoids deep water or water with a strong current.

Appearance: Aisu is a short, slender woman with lean muscle. Her hair is long - reaching her lower back - and is snow white. It gets in her way if it is not pulled back in some manner. She has a near-porcelain skin tone, and though she can sunburn, she cannot tan. Her eyes are a deep blue that changes to far lighter when she uses her magic. She is far from unscarred and has an old one down the left side of her jawline that while it has faded over the years, is still very prominent. She generally wears rather comfortable clothes, but when she goes on jobs or knows she will be spending time with a significant other she will usually wear actually attractive clothing.
