- Job Title: The Sickness
Rank: D
Player Requirements: 500 Word Requirement. Must have finished The Shrouded Stalker first.
Job Requirements: Slay all infected animals with as little damage to the village as possible
Job Location: Beanstalk Village
Job Description: No matter where you are in Fiore, you are suddenly approached by the herbalist who runs to you in a panicked mode. She begs you to return to her village and save the people in it. She doesn’t make sense until you calm her down enough to hear that something happened to the animals and they are attacking the villagers. She believes it’s a result of the weeds. Upon reaching the village, you see multiple animals, all of them with some sort of purple growth on them like algae, with glowing mushrooms popping out in different areas. Once the animals are killed, a bear will emerge, being the boss.
In conclusion, it's quite clear that the purple mass on the animals that has seemingly driven them insane and carnivorous, is somehow linked to the purple plants, however you don't know how yet.

Another week had passed since dealing with yet another Beanstalk incident. Honestly, Aliarey thought she was done with the plant problems altogether. The herbalist had mentioned having a scientist friend who was also a wizard, so what did she need her for? Job complete. Mission done. Jewels awarded. Moving on. Too bad the herbalist was some sort of stalker by that point. The requip mage was busy scanning over a few items in a weapon shop when that same herbalist from Beanstalk village barged in, in complete panic mode. There were many confused blinks and a very what in the actual hell expression that crossed the blonde's face. The herbalist was making no sense, but then again Aliarey was barely even listening. 'How did she even find me?' She thought, that being the most important question running through her mind. She must of been really easy to track down by that point. Were there really no legal mages the herbalist could have turned to? Aliarey was just a simple guildless mage that did a few things for the extra jewels. Sure most of it ended up helping people more often than not, but she still should not be having people track her down personally.
As Aliarey expressed little interest in responding to the herbalist, the woman's panic went to the extreme and her cries were ear deafening. Now the requip mage was starting to feel awkward from all the staring the scene was causing. "Hey, come on. You're causing a scene!" Her hands were placed on the woman's shoulders, although not really as gently as it should have been if her goal was to comfort someone. "Now, take a deep breath and explain to me clearly on why you traveled across Fiore just to find me. I'm really not that special or unique." The herbalist did as told, taking a few deep breaths before going into detail. Apparently she had sought out the mage due to her already being involved in the case since the beginning. Now she needed her help more than ever. The village was in trouble; it being attacked by the animals that resided within and around it. Her guess was that it had something to do with the mysterious plants and how they were somehow evolving. She wasn't totally sure, but it was her best guess due to the purple colored algae on the animals and the strange mushrooms that were growing on them. To which Aliarey had but only one question: "What's the reward?"
The mission had been agreed to and the reuip mage had found herself in Beanstalk mission for the third time in a single month. Good grief. Just as she had been told, the animals around were covered in some nasty substance that she knew she would not want to touch even with a ten foot pole. Another unfortunate thing was that she was told to destroy the animals while also dealing as little damage to the actual village as possible. Man, what a pain. It was easy to do even with her normally explosive and bullet firing magic, but it was way less fun when she had to be careful. The chickens that came at her were of little issue. Single shots from her normal pistols were enough. A few pigs? Turn them into bacon with her fire turret and Ember revolvers. The wolves were fast and agile, but so was she. All she had to do was slow them down a bit with her ice elemental grenade and then freeze them all with her ice pistols. Slaying them from there was hardly difficult. Last came the bear, which looked even more infected than the rest. Her gatling turret was set, and then two more appeared beside it to add to the onslaught. For extra overkill, she brought forth her arm cannon from the pocket dimension it had been stored in. A second one formed on her other arm, and when combined they made a larger one. A single powerful blast struck the bear, finishing it off.
Her part in the plant business had concluded once again. Would there be a fourth run in? Most likely so. For now, jewels had been added to her purse and she left, cursing the fact the wizard scientist friend of the herbalist was apparently useless.
