Wanted! Demolitions Expert! (Cirven, Ruvel and Johann)

Post by KebabViking on Tue Nov 21, 2017 4:26 am

    Job Description:

Johann was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling of his quarters. He had woken up quite some time ago, but he had lost himself in his thoughts and memories like he tended to do sometimes. Admittedly, he was rather bored. He hadn't been given any assignment recently and a good job was also nowhere to be found, so he had spent the last two days training and thinking. It wasn't too long that he had developed his first spells and used them for the first time, and with each passing day he could feel himself get more and more proficient in the use of magic. What followed was the journey that brought him to where he was now : the headquarters of the West Fiore Trading Company. Johann reminisced how he met one of the people he now called a friend and comrade, Ruvel, on a nearby island and how the events that followed had brought him to Divide Island and made him a member of the Company. Thinking about it, he was happy. For the first time in years he felt a sense of joy in his heart that he thought he had lost long ago, but he was well on his way to call the people he now held close his family. He got up, looked into the mirror on the wall and smirked. He'd try and give it more today, go from 100 to 110%. With that, he put on his white suit that he had made his guild uniform, along with the pin of the West Fiore Trading Company, his guild tattoo shining in a bright grey on his right hand.

It was still somewhat early in the day and so he made his way to the mess hall for a hearty breakfast. Using magic did consume a lot of calories, after all, and training on an empty stomach, Johann thought, wouldn't be the best idea. He ordered a portion of scrambled eggs and toast, sausage and baked beans in a tomato sauce and sat down at one of the tables. The food looked delicious and thus he started eating.

Cirven had woken up with a single thought on his mind; Find something entertaining to do more so than paperwork. He recently had lost his one and only Ace and Vice President of the company due to personal reasons. No bad blood between the two but it did add the the devil's workload with the departure of Julius. It was as if there were papers he had never seen before coming into his office daily which showed him how much his second in command really did for him and the company. There was so much paperwork that it had him in his office for a full day the day before just signing and reading things over again and again like some sort of puppet. He was the CEO of the company so it had to be understood that he needed time away most of the time or that was at least what he thought. Plus, he was not the type to stay in an office and be cooped up like some sort of caged slave. He put on the clothes he would wear if he was going out on a job rather than his uniform and continued out of his room.

Just as he walked out of his room, he was brought face to face with Alisha who was fully dressed in her uniform pink and white uniform that she chose to wear most of the time. She quickly looked over her boss with a glare that was filled with no mercy for Cirven. "Where are you going, sir...?" Cirven grinned at Alisha. "Alisha, I-" She spoke back up and cut him off. "Are you going to run out on doing paperwork again when we have so much to do still? Cirven, I can't let you leave like that." She spoke out as her hand was suddenly surrounded in a green aura. "Alisha, you know I need my time out or else I end up getting cranky and fighting some random thing out of boredom." He took a step back showing that he had a sort of fear of what could come next. "Sir... I cannot allow it." She stepped forward towards him and he continued to step backwards holding up his hands showing that he meant no harm to her. They moved into his room as she tried to corner him. "I'm going to just have to make you come with me." She quickly swung out her hand and hit the side of Cirven's head causing a loud bang to be heard throughout the building and causing Cirven's room to be completely wrecked in a flash of green light. "I didn't want to have to do that to you but you are always too crafty with getting away and I need you to not run away like this again." She spoke as a large green hand formed out from the air and grasped around the now unconscious CEO. Alisha took Cirven into a nearby elevator where they both went to the floor where their offices were and she placed him at his office desk where the paperwork had stacked up for him to do. "You will just have to start working when you wake up." She spoke out and left the room as she went to her own desk.

What the blonde haired and voluptuous woman didn't notice was that the minute she saw her boss marked the minute that she was put into an illusion that he controlled completely for her. He managed to use the illusion to distract her and keep her off his trail as he jumped into the shadows of the building and moved around them until he felt like he was a good enough space away from where she would be. He came out of the shadows near the break room where some of the jobs were posted up. He figured he only had enough time to find a job and go before Alisha would somehow catch on to what was going on. She was not dumb and she had gotten used to the antics that the devil could do quickly but the illusionist ways that he controlled was something new for her to deal with which he thought would give him some easy ways to get away from her for a good amount of times.

He walked into the break room and looked over the job list that was posted on the nearby wall. There were multiple areas with the jobs and thanks to some magic when someone pulled one job off of one of the walls the others would disappear. "A man with dynamite hiding in a mine with no info on him and no one who have come back alive to tell anything on him?
    Hmm.. Sounds interesting.
" He mumbled out aloud before looking over those in the room around him. He had a feeling that he could possibly use this time to get to know one of the newer members of the guild and get to see their skills first hand compared to hearing about them. Everyone in the room was someone he had seen in action before besides one. "Yo, old man! You are Johann, right? Pretty sure I have seen you around before but I never have gotten to see you in action. Maybe you could show me on this job?" He put the job's information in front of Johann and waited for a response. "Nice choice of food by the way."

Post by Ruvel on Wed Nov 22, 2017 4:43 am

Ruvel had been up much of the night thinking over the events that had happened since the faithful meeting of the dark mage Dahau inside Oak town up til now, all the good and the bad events, actions and decisions; it all weighed heavily on the youths mind but he had done his best to keep his composure in front of everyone, but in truth he just wanted to break down and cry but knew it would cause concern and worries he didn't want to cause. Keeping his mask up wasn't exactly a hard task for him to do given he had to do all his life; showing anything was punished but if you did show anything it was expected to be positive. He had seen many like him and many broken smile but their eyes showed a completely different story they where either filled with sorry or void of any emotion at all. He felt pity for those poor souls who done so, more than he did for himself and he was targeted more than any other for some of the harshest examinations and such. He had always refused to fake a positive emotion even when he was told to mainly because he forgot what one actually had felt like. He shook his head trying to get the thoughts out of his head but it wasn't something that was ever going to be easy he felt.

He truly loved his new home and the family he had obtained, but he still worried as his old home was still active and it was nearby waiting and watching until he was alone so he could be brought back and broken and remoulded to what they wanted of him, he didn't want that it was a primal fear of his. Sitting he looked at the ice blue runes on his left ankle his fingers going over them as he wondered if he'd ever be truly free of the past, he shook his head once more "The past is a cage, were it's part of me I'm not locked inside... not anymore." he whispered covering the runes once more, by the time he started feeling tired he knew it was time he would normally be waking so would have to deal with it. Going through his normal morning routine of washing and dressing in a new white mandarin suit used during training so his day to day clothing didn't get destroyed or dirty, as he normally expected to do his training in the morning before anything else in the day, once ready he took some of the fresh water to the bird bath near where he rested allowing the swallows that lived in the nest on the bedding meant for him before pouring out some seeds for them to eat before going inside the headquarters to make his own breakfast.

Heading into the kitchen he moved to start cut some fruit while boiling some rice, while the rice was cooking he started to make the fruit into a kind of jam humming lightly to himself making sure not to bother anyone else in the kitchen. By the time rice was finished he managed to finish what he was doing and started to make rice balls, when done he cleaned everything he had used before drying and putting them away and got a glass of water before heading to the back of the building to eat. As was normal they touched nothing until the sun started to rise instead started practising some of the new phrases from the last few lessons he's had with his summons. When the sun rose he began to eat and drink slowly before standing and going into the kitchen to wash up once more.

When he exited he seen Cirven with Johann and moved over tilting his head "Good morning big brother unusual to see you this early, did you pull another all nighter? Hunting, training or paperwork?" something happened recently that had effected them both but it seemed to have helped the elder male though at the time it was a curse for them both. "Hello Mr. Weiss, did you rest well?" he enquired a he normally did when the two seen each other in the morning, his eyes going to the flyer "A job?" he asked looking to Cirven knowing he was one of the two within the guild who knew he couldn't read "Can I come please? It beats training." he said knowing it was true but then when he went on a job it just pushed back his daily training a little, but he would take it.

Johann had sat down and started his breakfast, not expecting what followed: After a minute or two, he spotted the CEO of the West Fiore Trading Company, Cirven, making his way through the rows of tables and seats in the break hall. Thinking about it, he had never really spoken to him extensively, just seen him around the West Fiore Trading Companies' headquarters from time to time, exchanged a greeting here and there and heard things about him from other people, primarily from Ruvel. What seemed strange to him however was that the man seemed to approach him directly, a piece of paper in hand. He stood up and bowed before the other respectfully, something he would usually do as a greeting. Cirvens greeting on the other hand seemed rather informal, but Johann didn't mind at all. It was something he had gotten used to, others naturally didn't place as much importance on manners as he did.

"Good morning, sir." he answered the other, standing up straight from his bow. "Yes, I'm afraid we haven't gotten the chance to get acquainted really. From what I have heard" he couldn't help himself but smile a little "you seemed somewhat ... busy with paperwork ?" With that he handed Johann the piece of paper. "Taste is one of the strongest senses. It's only natural to stimulate it" he answered the CEO's comment. Johann continued to finish his breakfast while reading through what he figured was a job. Not only that, from what the other said the CEO wanted Johann to accompany him to see him "in action". He was about to answer the man when he saw another person approach them both from the corner of his eye. He turned his head to spot Ruvel who made his way over, stopping next to Cirven, giving him a friendly greeting before turning his attention to Johann, greeting him as well. Johann stood up once more, bowing before Ruvel as well. "Good morning, s- ... Ruvel" he had a hard time complying with Ruvels request for him to address him informally, but he tried his best. "I did, Thank you." "You two train together ? Sounds productive" he grinned to the youth, trying a bit of smalltalk after listening to Ruvels request to join them. "Very well" he stood up, "Since you want me to demonstrate to you my abilities", he addressed Cirven, "Why don't you follow me outside.", assuming the two were ready and prepared for the job.

The three stepped outside and were greeted by the warm morning sun. Johann could feel the soft embrace of the wind on his skin. "Let us begin", he stretched out his arms "Hold your breath, this might hurt the ears a bit.", refering to the somewhat extreme difference in air pressure they'd experience. With that, a large white magic circle appeared beneath their feet, and the three of them turned into wind. Mere seconds later they manifested again, appearing on a hill close to the location that had been given in the job description. "Here we are ... Crocus" Johann said, happy that the work he had done to improve the properties of his teleportation had paid off, the capital city of Fiore stretching out before them.

Cirven was never the best with introductions but that did not mean he could not be sincere with someone. He was just not really taught how to be around high class members of society too much though he knew of how they were. He had to make sure to watch what he said during meetings with them and force himself to remember how to conduct his own introductions with those of higher stature than the rest of the world. He disliked having to do it but he knew it was either he did it and presented himself as such as the CEO of a company of they lost possible allies and contracts. "Oh, sorry about not bowing myself. I tend to save that for the higher priority people who come here and not for the regular members. We are family here pretty much so I never see a need to be so formal." He replied to the series of bows that Johann gave him and Ruvel before answering his mentee. "Did you think I was going to leave you without the opportunity to not come? This is the best way to train, after all! Just a straight hands on experience where we possibly end up fighting with our lives on the line!" A excited smile came over Cirven's face after he spoke out. "This was how I got stronger and made it through the hardships I have experienced so it is worth going on jobs like this from time to time. I do plan on this becoming more of a regular thing for us and your training, Rui. So don't think you can avoid it." He glared at Ruvel to show his seriousness in getting him to go because he knew the word 'training' always caused the younger man to try and run away.

"Lead the way, Johann." He spoke out and then followed the older man through the building which lead them outside of it where Johann told them to hold their breath and that it could hurt their ears a bit. Before the talkative devil could speak up a spell was cast that quickly caused a loud whistling sound in his ears which due to his enhanced sense of hearing caused him to cover his ears but as soon as he did so the trio were suddenly in Crocus. "So next time you do that, remind me to have some sort of ear muffs so I don't have my ear drums screaming at me after." He said as he stared at the man who had given him little time to react to his warning earlier. There was some annoyance in Cirven's voice but he avoided talking about it anymore and continued on with their new job. "First thing is first, obviously. We need to go and talk to the person who put this job up to start it but we have a special way of doing things like this." He pointed to his ear which quickly alerted Ruvel to what he meant. "I will go by myself and speak with the person who put up the job while you both head to the mine and start investigating. You both should be capable enough without me, right?" He didn't waste a second and turned around to both of his companions. "Keep me updated, Rui. I will tell you more of the information on this job when I get it." And with that the CEO of the West Fiore Trading Company flew quickly into the air and through the city towards the destination where the job application said to go to meet up with the client and leaving the other two alone to go and start investigating the mine.

Ruvel smiled brightly stretching a little in his pure white clothing on his sleeve the same words that was on the clothing from the facility, he knew that Cirven and his summons hated him wearing such clothing at any point but to him there was a reason for it though he never spoke to them about it. "There's no reason to call him sir, Mr. Weiss he prefers informal too." he said with a chuckle poking at Cirven's cheek playfully "And don't bow, he hates bowing... I get an additional half hour training when I do it." he rubbed his head groaning remembering the last time, his eyes going to the elder male "Or am I special case given you know..." he didn't want to go into everything, it wasn't something either of them really liked to speak about to anyone given the threats there where hunting the two. He blinked hearing paperwork looking almost shocked "Did she lock you in again? or did the pile get to big that you couldn't ignore it?" he asked it was either that or it was important clients that he couldn't fob off to junior members, no matter what it was he knew that Cirven hated doing paperwork and would avoid it if he could; this by no means meant that he was lazy it was just that his mind and energy was spent trying to protect and defend against potential threats not just to the two but the guild and company given the two where there.

"I don't know how you can eat so much, or fill it with such things..." he said honestly hearing about the breakfast and taste "But each to his or her own I guess." he said with a smile his voice showed he meant no offence with his words. His hand moved to his chest as he leaned forward a little returning the show of respect and mannerisms "I really wish you would be informal with me Mr. Weiss." he said with a sigh "I am glad to hear you rested well and yes daily unfortunately." he loved spending time with his adoptive elder brother but he hated training as much as he understood it was a needed evil for him "Around three hours training daily I do with Cirven and one or two summons... I swear they want to kill me." he said folding his arms behind his back given just how tired he was after around an hour and a half so he often hid around training time.

"Umm... I'm not sure if productive is the word I would choose given I need medicine at least twice a week." he said with a sigh shuddering at the thought of how the medicine was administered and where the only two places it was properly accepted into his system, it was the only time he fought with everything he had so Lurea was normally called on or the twins would hold him down because even tired he would still somehow find the energy to fight making the situation worse. "I have a bad feeling about what's about to happen, I should change leaving this place with these clothes is just asking for trouble." he said calmly as he was about to leave he listened to Cirven "Never really know with you Cirven... but if you did you'd have me do some sort of weird thing." he chuckled knowing the elder male well enough to know his strange sense of humour, then he heard the word fighting and groaned "Cirven, we've been through this training is one thing but going in the hopes that we find trouble or it finds us..." it was clear that the youth was uncomfortable on the matter, more so as they didn't need help in that department with the issues they kept having.

"I swear since..." he stopped looking away not wanting to go down that path, it was still far to fresh a cut for the youth and he was still trying to find his footing afterwards. "I go on jobs, you almost make it sound like I never leave the company grounds." he sounded almost offended by the accusation turning his head away. Feeling the glare he closed his eyes, even though closed it was clear to see  that he was almost pained as if he had been struck "I understand, I'll go get changed..." hi voice was merely a whisper as he moved out of the mess hall and towards where he rested quickly changing out of what he trained in to his day to day clothing before he moved to meet with the others. Standing he waited to see what was to be done but before he or Cirven knew it they where in Crocus "Been a while since I was here." he whispered to himself, the sonic boom didn't seem to phase him since he dealt with Bennu daily but it seemed to have taken it's toll on Cirven who wasn't use to such things "Sorry, should of warned you... he's a wind mage." he said walking off a little

Stopping by a well he took out a jewel and threw it in a smile on his face as he made a silent wish, he had already made the new contract he just wasn't strong enough to call on it yet not to mention the summon in question was still recovering from wounds. Turning back he walked over listening how he was going to the client and would catch them up "Understood, try not get lost." he said with a smile as he walked towards the mines his hands clasped behind his head walking towards the mines, he felt tired as he hadn't been in a deep enough sleep for a while now, it was almost like a waking nightmare more vivid than his normal nightmares, he wondered what had changed to make this happen but it was something that he had kept hidden from Cirven and his summons alike not wanting to worry or be a burden to them as he normally was.

Soon enough they would be at the mines, with a sigh he moved inside lowering his hands as he sniffed at the air quietly as he cautiously entered taking the tunnel to the left only to see three people juggling with dynamite 'Can people really be that stupid?' he asked himself looking back at Johann who had likely followed putting up his hand to indicate just how many people there where, he knew he could stop them in their tracks but didn't think that was the best thing for now, so looked to the elder male seeing if he had an idea how to take out the threat that lay before them before he let Barthenz loose to deal with them in the only way the warrior knew how.

Johann sat without motion, listening to what Ruvel had to say, answering the two before him "You're exaggerating, Ruvel." smiling back at him, although a bit confused, thinking that Ruvels answer to him must have been more or less of a rhetorical device. "Be sure to include me in your training sometime, I do it almost daily anyway." He had, with great effort, switched to a more informal way of expressing himself to fulfil Ruvels request for less mannerisms as he didn't want to be rude and purposefully ignore something that the other had asked of him.

A while later, after just having teleported to crocus, Johann let out a deep breath. He had gotten used to the sound and the pressure as well as not breathing for an extended amount of time while using certain aspects of his magic but he had forgotten that not everyone was used to this kind of treatment. "I do apologize, Cirven. It is by it's nature a weird side effect, but you held yourself pretty well. Most people would have emptied the contents of their stomach." Johann said to the annoyed Cirven with a mixture of amusement and guilt in his voice. Listening to Cirvens plan Johann agreed with a nod and turned his attention to Ruvel, following the youth while the CEO went and met with the client. It certainly would save the trio some time to operate like this.

They approached the mines soon after, entering them without hesitation. The smell of dust, dirt and ore was filling the heavy air and the light, consisting of a few dim lights here and there, created a almost spooky atmosphere. Johann didn't like the fact there was no wind around here and the air was thin and stuffy. Ruvel, after a bit of walking, stopped suddenly and looked around a corner before looking back at him, holding up 3 fingers. Johann understood and gave Ruvel a nod. He quietly made his way to the same corner, crouching as to not alert any potential enemies, to spot three guys playing around with ... explosives ? Johann was absolutely baffled by the sheer stupidity and would've laughed out loud if it wouldn't have been such a serious situation. Ruvel, who stared at him with questioning eyes, looked like he had a plan, but was waiting for Johanns input on this matter. He himself had no idea how to take the guys out without being noticed . Sure, he could take out one quickly but then the others would have an idea what they'd be dealing with. The best solution would probably be a quick attack by both of them simultaneously, minimizing the risk of anything actually exploding.

He shook his head at the youth, raising one of his hands to first point at Ruvel and then at himself, clenching his palm into a fist after, hoping Ruvel would understand that they should both attack at the same time with him giving the signal. Johann leaned around the corner, aiming his hand at one of the idiots who were still juggling around with dynamite. Guess the only way to find out was trying, and with that he fired a highly pressurized projectile of air at one of them. The spell had been designed with speed and penetrating power in mind, and had no difficulty knocking the one it had hit directly at the head off his feet, the dynamite falling to the ground. The highly explosive material exploded instantly, creating a loud explosion and a cloud of dust and smoke. The other 2 were in disarray and Johann shouted "GO!", the signal for the two of them to charge forward. Johann, light as a feather, exploded forward out of his sprint, his rapier aimed at the right one of the still disoriented and coughing two that had remained.

The devil flew through the air above the city as he managed to find his way around it. He had not been in Crocus much and only had a vague memory of where everything was but he knew most things were in the center of the city because it was the most popular area in the city like most cities. Seeing a man flying through the air was not something that was too different for the city to see but it was not all that common for them to see so most people looked up to see the devil with a face of confusion and most of the kids looked up smiling while waving. Cirven waved back but kept moving through the air because he did have a place to be. After he flew around aimlessly for a time while looking at addresses he found his destination. He arrived at a building next to a fairly popular bar in the city called 'Huchin's Trough'. Cirven took note of the bar for somewhere he should go to later but he walked into what looked to be a miner's guild hall.

He went inside the guild hall where he saw multiple men sitting at multiple tables conversing with each other. The entire room gave off an air of gloominess that the pointed-eared man was not ready for. It was as if all of the people inside just had this aura about that that was trying to bring anyone who walked in down with them. The devil was greeted by a older man who wore some miner gear complete with a helmet. "Hello sir, how can we help you here?" The devil looked over the older man before answering and then reached out his hand. "I am Cirven Mizune, the CEO of the West Fiore Trading Company. Nice to meet you...?" Cirven left the end of his sentence open so that the man could finish it. "Stephen Yomen." The older man shock Cirven's hand with his own. "We have heard about you and your company. Sounds like you go around helping where you can like any legal guild would as well as helping with the shipping and trading of goods. We have worked with some of your men before ourselves." Cirven gave the man a smile and both released their hands from the greeting. "Glad we could be a help to you and now I am here to help you even more with the situation at the mines. I am here to accept the job and to get any viable information on it, Mr. Yomen." Stephen sighed and then silently directed Cirven to a open table they could sit at. Cirven followed and took a seat as Stephen did so too. "You are the sixth person to come here for this job. It has ended with the disappearance of multiple people and it has prevented us from working so all of our incomes have been drastically worse since this started." Cirven nodded to Stephen and allowed the man to continue talking. "One of our own has been inside of the mines with others and has been preventing anyone from working inside the mines while they stay inside there. We don't know much about the situation but anyone who has been sent inside has either disappeared or they have been killed is all we can think. Lankin really has taken things down a chaotic path." Cirven's eyebrow raised. "Lankin is the name of the man who is causing this all?" Stephen nodded and looked towards the ground. "He was the best we had and then suddenly he did this... It makes little sense to any of us..." Cirven stood up from his chair. "No worries, sir. That is where my company comes in. We will handle this for you the best we can and figure everything out. I'll be back when this is all done." Cirven turned around and left the miner's guild hall with a wave of his hand to Stephen who stayed in his seat.

The devil flew back into the air again and placed his hand over his ear so that he could speak to Ruvel. "Rui, the situation is a skilled miner named Lankin went crazy or something inside of the mines and has caused multiple disappearances of people. He has some under him somehow who were also miners. Something doesn't seem right with this situation at all because we are the sixth group to take this job and the others have all disappeared in those mines. I am on my way there. Be careful." He relayed to Ruvel as he flew towards the mines.

Ruvel shook his head to the suggestion he was exaggerating, he wouldn't go into what he meant but he knew if he pushed to hard it was deadly to him but sometimes he forced himself or was forced to because of circumstance or through training to see if there had been any improvement. His eyes looking to the side as he was requested by the elder male to train with him daily "I don't willingly train, I hate the damned thing." his fists clenched lightly, his training was forced, the dagger used though for his own safety when summoning was forced and his rapier had been forced. "Thank you for the offer though." he eventually said looking up at Johann a weak smile on his face. He was grateful that the other was less formal with him, even when he had to be formal and it was done to him when he was on a task for the company he disliked it because of his past on his part and because he wasn't use to people bowing at him making him uncomfortable but he managed to keep a polite smile so the client didn't know.

He allowed the other two to quickly speak before they parted ways knowing that soon that he would be given more information from Cirven. Ruvel dashed forward a set of daggers in his hand moving between the enemies slicing at none vital areas but enough to incapacitate while the other dealt with knocking them out, one of the daggers fading from his hand as he heard Cirven speaking to him "You don't say... we just had to deal with three idiots playing with dynamite; I didn't think anyone was that stupid" he said with an irritated tone, he wanted to know why such information hadn't been on the the job flyer not that the squiggles meant much to him "Oh Cirven, I'll be indoors in a few weeks... they where going to tell you at training today. They think it's going to last around a week this time the twins say a bad omen." he mentioned to the other though didn't go into to much information as Johann was around but knew Cirven would understand, likely he'd ask the twins any questions he had now he knew they had a separate link with Cirven though had no idea as to why.

His eyes turned to Johann as he brought his hand down from his ear "So seems we're the sixth group that have taken this job, others haven't returned. There's a crazed skilled miner called Lankin in here or there's something else in here making people disappear, Lankin seems to have minions... seems like we've met a few already..." he said looking to the three they had taken out "Cirven says there's something strange with the situation and I have to agree, he's asked us to be careful and he's on his w-." he relayed the vital information though as he was about to finish he noticed something moving behind Johann changing the one dagger made out of light into a quarterstaff and lunged forward barely missing the elder males head but a crunch and a strange cry would be heard from behind him.

Thanks to the light of the staff the image of a spider against the mine wall would be seen "That looked nasty." he said wondering if there where any other dangers up ahead made him worry so bringing his staff back he watched as the carcass of the spider fell "I'm sorry, but it was you or him... forgive me." he whispered to it, he hated removing life from the world but he wouldn't allow people he was meant to care for and look after be hurt either; the idea put him in a strange situation where he questioned his own wishes and he didn't like it one bit. "Maera." he said the moment he did a little jingle of a bell heard "Big sister, can you scout ahead for me please. I don't want to be caught off guard." he explained hearing a quiet giggle and the little bell trailing off for a moment before coming back "That didn't take long what's wrong?" he asked her knowing she was hiding in his hair. "Well this couldn't wait there's a mine field." she explained worrying for his safety. "Johann, there's a mine field. we should stay here and wait for Cirven then move as a group I think." he said to the other seeing if her agreed.

"The sixth ? Not good ... " Johann gave back to Ruvel, standing beside him in the tunnel, the 3 unconscious idiots behind them. "That doesn't sound good at all. Let's find out what kind of game is being played here ..." . The conversation between him and Ruvel was cut short by something moving behind him. Johann admittedly hadn't noticed until it was too late as he had been focussing on what Ruvel was saying, but the youth before him was quick to react, creating a staff of light to crush what seemed to be a large spider with a deep crunching sound. Johann turned and involuntarily took a few steps back as his face went pale. "Argh ... Thank you ... I ... hate these ... things". He knew that Ruvel would object to that statement, but he couldn't help it. It was a deep seated fear of arachnids that he just couldn't get rid of. Ruvel continued, sending out what seemed to be a summon that gave him information on their surroundings, even though Johann couldn't see or hear anything, telling of a mine field ahead of them. Of course they could just blow the thing up, but that wouldn't be too great for the stability of the mine and he didn't necessarily fancy the idea of being buried alive, so he agreed with Ruvels suggestion to wait for Cirven.
