To Hunt a Hunter; The Finale Empty To Hunt a Hunter; The Finale

Post by Guest 5th October 2017, 11:22 am

Job Title: To Hunt a Hunter; The Finale
    Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least 1 B-Ranked mage or equivalent. 11,000 Words minimum. Defeat the Master Vampire. All mages having completed the job "To Hunt a Vampire; III - Find the Nest" and chosen to accept the offer of the Master Vampire.
Job Requirements: Defeat the remaining monster hunters
    Job Location: Lycan Woods
Job Description: The Master Vampire, pleased that you’d choose to help him, summons his two vampires which are just as powerful as the one you interrogated. Together, you and your group in conjunction with the Master Vampire and his two servants go to the hunter’s hideout and put a permanent end to their organization.
    Enemies:
Boss: Leader of the Monster Hunters and her two Hunters
The leader and her two hunters will be significantly easier to defeat while on the side of monsters, however, they won’t go down without a fight. As they are magic-less in a magical world, they have developed ways to deal with mages in case they had to fight. Both Hunters deal A-Rank damage and the leader deals S-Rank damage. The two hunters have 400 HP and their leader has 500 HP.  Both the vampire servants of the Master Vampire take three times the damage from the monster hunter’s weapons while the Master Vampire takes two time the damage from the same source, though they are immune to other damage sources.
Additionally, the leader and her hunters are equipped with smoke bombs with cover a mile radius and will disable most magic in the area. While the vampires will remain unaffected and will still be able to use their magic, you won’t be. The hunters also possess ranged weapons such as crossbows which fire arrows tipped in a poison that will make the recipient extremely dizzy and cause them to lose 5% of their max HP per post for 3 posts. While this poison does not stack, it can be extremely debilitating.
Furthermore, the hunters are equipped with charms that allow them to see through their own thick smoke, giving them a visual advantage should they choose to throw down the smoke bombs. After the leader of the hunters reaches 25% of her max HP, she will begin to fight with more skill. She will fight desperately though while trying not to let recklessness get the better of her and she will fight to maim and kill. Her damage will escalate to H-Rank but she will inevitably become more reckless and aggressive.
Reward: 30,000 Jewels [It is sitting on top of a table and had been originally meant to be given to you by the leader of the hunters], a permanent Lineage: Kin of the Vampire, and a free primary and/or secondary magic change to blood and/or shadow magic.  All three of these rewards are optional and you make choose to take any combination.
A mage with “Kin of the Vampire” cannot change lineages.
Name : Kin of the Vampire
Description : Kin of the Vampire were once human, though have since become something… different. A Master Vampire will curse a human, or bless him or her depending on one’s outlook, by biting the human on the neck. In the following three days the human will feel very sick and undergo physical changes. Their heart will stop pumping, their skin will go pale, and they will have an adverse reaction to the sun. At the end of the three days the human will be a human no longer and instead be a fully-fledged vampire.
    Ability:
    Passives
Sunlight Burns: Whenever the sun is up your maximum HP is decreased by 50%.  So a mage with 100 HP max would have their new max until night time to 50 HP. This weakness may be circumvented with heavy clothing which covers every part of the exposed skin, such as a sunhat and heavy coat.
Weakness to Holy and Light Magic: Any light or holy magic you come into contact with will have its damage amplified by 50% against you.
Monstrous Strength: Your physical abilities are amplified greatly: 200%.
Child of the Night: You blend into the darkness, making you much harder to see at night or in dark places.
Resistant to Darkness, Unholy, and Blood Magic: Quite resistant to dark, unholy, or blood magic magic, reducing any incoming damage from these sources by 50%.
Feeding: You may feed off a human or animal to regain your own health. Simply stick your teeth into their neck or drink a cup of blood to regain your own HP. Drinking a liter of animal blood will regenerate 10% of your HP. Drinking a liter of human blood will regenerate 25% of your HP. You may choose how much to drink, though don’t expect the being on the receiving end to cooperate…. As you drink blood you will be left quite vulnerable to attacks as all your focus must be on feeding.
    Actives
Shape shifting: You may shape shift into a swarm of bats. Like you, these bats can’t die but each one has only 25% of your HP. All of them must come together when you’re shape shifting back into your normal form. This power has a cool down of 2 posts and lasts indefinitely. As a swarm of bats, you can perceive information from as many different sources as there are bats, making it an indispensable tool for gathering intelligence or sneaking around. The bats themselves have only 5% of your rank’s attack power altogether, making it a poor strategy to use in combat.
Life Drain: You may point your hand at a single target and shoot out a stream of blood. This stream will travel at a max distance and speed for your rank and, if it hits, will transfer 10% of your enemy’s total HP from them to you. This ability has a cool down of 4 posts and an instant duration.
Invisibility: You may turn invisible to the naked eye for a duration of up to 3 posts. This ability has a cool down of 6 posts. While you’re invisible, using a spell will cause the invisibility to deactivate and the cool down to start.
Usage : The passive abilities are always active and the actives may be cast at any time. Only one active may be cast at a time, so one cannot be invisible and shape shift into bats or shape shift into bats and use life drain.
