Clearblade had been observing people since arriving at the guild named Golden Phoenix, she now came to think of this place as a secondary home and her place of learning. She blinked watching how people went to a board read the flyers before taking one or two and leaving not to be seen sometimes from hours others had yet to return. Standing she moved over to the board but all she could do was sigh as she couldn't make out the difference between the paper and ink 'I should have known this wasn't going to be easy. Stands to reason given my family's ink isn't used here and they don't know about the issues with my eyes' she thought to herself with a sigh before turning as she seen someone's hand going out to collect a flyer "Hay... Sophitia was it?" the said looking at the flyer she had taken, she had come to know the woman as katie though she had no idea how she looked given her eyes all she could tell was by the aura she was a water and ice user. "Having difficulty choosing a job? I was the same way when it was my first task. It's nerve wracking" she asked with a warm tone and a slight giggle as she remembered her own first job jitters not realising it wasn't the case for the youth standing beside her.

Clearblade let out a frustrated sigh nodding "You could say that I guess Katie" she said not lying about finding it hard to choose a job given she couldn't tell the jobs apart or even read what was on the paper but again not exactly giving a full truth either given she wasn't nervous about doing such things as she had been on assignment before while in training in Celestia. "Um.. perhaps you could help me pick a job that would be best suited to me" she said with a warm smiled it was the best way for her to gain a job that would help her gain experience with her magic without going on something that was to difficult for her to handle with what she had and knew while creating bonds with her new family "Sure, what are you looking to do? Treasure hunting, protection... helping" Katie asked her starting to look through the lower rank jobs "I'm not one for treasure hunting so perhaps one that has someone asking for help" she said looking to the aqua and ice aura'd Katie who held out a flyer "Try this one then. It's really good pay for a low rank job, it's located at Beanstalk Village, it seems like they're having issues with vegetables" she said with a giggle holding out the flyer allowing Clearblade to take it "Good luck Sophitia" she said waving and walking off to deal with her own job

Clearblade looked down at the flyer "Why would vegetables be an issue? Well unless something is attacking them or mutating them in some way" she asked herself as she moved out of the guild hall and away from where any could see before allowing her wings to come forth. With a single jump she started to flap her wings and headed towards her destination remaining between the clouds not wanting to be seen by those below 'The divine and mortals don't mix' she thought quietly to herself having remembered the last time one of her kind mingled with humans. It hadn't been pretty as the Angel in question soon became corrupted and fell; this was something that had saddened the light element and angels in general as once lost to the darkness it was very hard to come back to the light and even if accepted back it was unlikely that anyone would trust you like they had before. "I will not fall" she reassured herself, none within her family had and she wasn't about to be the one who made it happen.

After a few hours of flying she noticed the village she was meant to be going to, to help them with their vegetable problem, it still baffled her on what sort of issued plants could cause but if it had ended up on a guild job board she guessed there was a supernatural or magical power behind it. When she got around a mile away she started to float down to the ground deciding it would be better if she walked in rather than fly in and cause who knows what panic. Once she had landed she began to fix herself while her wings faded back into her back, when ready and composed she moved towards the village taking note of how the area was slowly changing from lush green vegetation and trees to being sickly, it made the teen stop in her tracks and move to a nearby tree touching it carefully a saddened look on her face "You're sick... I'll do my best to help, I promise" she whispered wincing as a thorn pricked her skin unexpectedly.

She sucked on the side of her hand after taking the thorn out to help the bleeding stop and the wound heal quicker 'I really do hate it when people play around with nature and elements they have no right meddling in' she said angrily to herself placing her hand to her side moving at double pace towards the village, her eyes scouring the place 'Why would anyone do such horrible things? Where are the villagers?' she continued walking around cautiously not knowing exactly what to expect from anything around the place "Hello, is anyone around?" she called out heading towards a house, she was hoping to gain a bit more information before going to where the problem was. To her knowing when it started and what was going on for the week leading up could prove vital information for how to handle the task. It was then she heard a cough coming from one of the houses and made a b-line for it knocking on the door "Excuse me, I know you're in there and I realise you're scared." she called through the rotting wooden door. "My name is Sophitia Clearblade, I'm a mage from the guild Golden Phoenix and I came to help with your vegetable problems" she said stepping back as the door creaked open. She didn't know what the person behind the door looked like she was just glad they decided to open the door and talk.

"Thank the gods someone heard our plea" an elderly woman's voice said covering her mouth as she coughed again. "I would like a little information before I get started so I can handle this efficiently, if you can help me with this I would be very grateful" he she said with a kind and warm tone, the woman nodded "Anything child, anything that will help life the curse from this place before it kills the little that remain" her voice showed great sorrow which only made her glad that she had agreed to do the task that Katie had picked out for her "When did the sickness of the land start?" she asked the woman her eyes going to her leg as she seen a secondary light, a small child though even their aura was dimmer than what it should be 'Everyone is suffering, this isn't right' she thought to herself coming out of her mind as the elder of the village spoke "The harvest moon, the moon had a strange purple glow we thought of it as an ill omen and done our best to combat it, but within a week everything was ruined so many left calling the land cursed we few who remained put our jewel together and placed a job request for help in this." she said coughing once more it was clear to the teen she was becoming increasingly sick due to the lack of food most likely giving up her own share so her grandchild could eat properly.

"Where are the fields elder? I will get this sorted before the sun rises, I swear this on the light itself" she said her voice filled with determination. "A round thirty meters to the north, don't worry you won't be able to miss it" she wheezed before being brought back in by the child the door closing. Clearblade didn't mind this at all given that the woman was so weak, tired and sick and she had given her more than enough information to get the task done. "I gave my word and now I must honour it." she said her eyes going to the now setting sun "I believe I have around ten hours to get this done" she said to herself unsure if she would be able to take down all issues within the time limit but she was sure as hell going to try.

A Wizards Grace Empty Re: A Wizards Grace

Post by Yuiisai 21st August 2017, 4:40 pm

Clearblade headed towards the farmland of the village her eyes looking left and right as she took in the sight of the sickly and corrupt crops, to her eyes they were becoming worse the closer she got to the farms "This truly isn't right" she said to herself, in her mind there was no need for such needless destruction or corruption regardless of the problem "Why haven't any of the others picked up on this issue?" she found it strange that no one in the heaven had been sent to deal with the issue given that corruption often meant demonic presence or could be used as a gateway for darkness if nothing else. "I wonder what's happening at home..." she sighed thinking that either there was a major attack going on at least one of the hosts or they are using this as a test on her but how would they know she would end up here?

Along the path she had been deep in her own thoughts when she heard what seemed like laughing, she couldn't help but stop to look around wondering were it was coming from but seeing no one she decided to start walking only to hear the laughing once again making her take pause "Hay, who's there?" she called out moving cautiously towards the noise only to jump back seeing condensed corruption within some of the vegetables. Seeing some of the corn get up made her blink, she didn't know exactly how to feel about this part of her made her wanted to laugh while the other half wanted to ask why this happened but right now wasn't the best thing for either situation instead she readied herself for battle. "Demonic Corn..." she said jumping back once more as she was targeted by what seemed to be a stream of corn. "That's not right" she said stretching out her hands making her crystalline bow appear, aiming it at her attacker she let it go with a fire arrow "It's nature and dark, so a light or fire will do the most damage to it" she said to herself only to be met with "What have you done! Look at this mess" from the corn that now had started to look like popcorn, it made her seem more than a little confused on the matter as it was the first time she had heard food ever talking and she had met some weird things that's for sure.

"Well you attacked me first!" she called back to the irate corn cob that was trying to remove the popped kernels complaining as it did so doing more damage to himself because of it "Boys we got ourselves a fashion disaster here" he called only to make Sophitia sigh seeing the four reinforcements. "Oh great, more of you..." she said in frustration "Before I turn you into your friend there any of you know how you came to be?" she asked knowing that perhaps one of them may know what exactly was going on "Well when you plant seeds in to the ground..." one of them started with a chuckle making the young angel to face palm "I don't want the baby talk thanks, I know how vegetables are grown" her frustration growing "I.. I can't go on, she..." he struggled to speak making her feel back but at the same time their existence in this form went against nature and thus had to be dealt with before it became to much of an issue.

A Wizards Grace Empty Re: A Wizards Grace

Post by Yuiisai 23rd August 2017, 6:21 am

Clearblade couldn't help but feel sorry for what she had done to the corn, but there was not much she could do given they where an aggressor. When she got back home she thought she decided she would forget this task as she would likely never live it down, she could hear the mocking right now 'Sophitia Clearblade destroyer of vegetables' she sighed shaking her head "I'm sorry about your friend" she said her voice showing that she was in pain with what she had just done and that it wasn't a trick but in fact sincere. Her family where elementalists able to use the elements to their advantage but each member of the family was normally drawn to one element or another to master it, she on the other hand had been drawn to two, nature and water. These two elements known for giving and nurturing life got her known as 'Peacebringer' within her family.

So caught up in her own thoughts she almost hadn't realised that the other four corn had moved around her like they were trying to box her in "No-one does that to one of us and gets away with it" said one of the remaining corn "That look was so tacky" said another before they readied themselves for releasing their 'corn cannon' attack from four different directions. She sighed remaining where she was for the moment almost as if she was giving in to them like previous mages may have "Look at this, she just got a lucky shot off the first time" the third said before he and his three friends released the cannon, Sophitia waited just a little longer before jumping her wings instantly coming out of her back as she used them to dodge out of the way of the unsuspecting corn demons allowing their own attacks to take out each other. Seeing them all fall back she sighed once more waiting in the sky a little longer to access wither or not they were playing possum when she was sure they weren't going to get back up again she floated back down "Again, I am sorry..." she whispered as her wings vanished and she walked back down the path leaving the k.o'ed Corn Demons behind they had already taken up enough of her time.

She felt happy at the moment that none of her magical abilities could do any harm to areas and that her elements where her choice when using them due to her bloodline. She took pause after fifteen minutes of walking as she seen something blocking the path and sighed knowing this wasn't going to be anything good more so as she could see what looked like ten blobs smack talking at each other. 'Just when I thought the corn was bad' she thought to herself "Is everything alright?" she called out to them, making them all be quiet and look to her. She had no idea why but this made her feel more than a little uncomfortable given that she could feel the ten sets of eyes glaring at her "Alright love? No, everythin's not alright... not with yur kind invadin..." the first tomato spoke 'Give me strength' she thought to herself as she closed her eyes "My kind invading?" she never thought about Angels invading other lands but then right now she was pretending to be human.

"Explain this to me" she asked but was pushed to the floor unexpectedly when one of the tomato's body flopped her out of nowhere "Exactly where yur kind belong love" the first tomato snickered. Sophitia knew there was no way she could out do so many after all there was strength in numbers so had to think of a way to thin the herd a bit. 'They like to play tough but given what I experienced they aren't overly strong... most likely dimwitted to so perhaps I can use that to my advantage.' she said inwardly moving onto her knees dusting off her dress "I apologise to the superior race for what my kind has done" her voice sounding sincere as she spoke "Earlier I seen some of your compatriots with the corn a little down the way..." she said the tomato's went silent "Oh yeh?" one of them said sounding none to impressed "Yes, the tomato's I seen there where saying how some of their so called friends seeds where disfigured before planting making them to dumb to do anything but be all talk" she said her head lowered almost as if she was a servant giving their master some bad news "Alright who was it" the first tomato demanded only to have the others in unison say they hadn't.

Sophitia pointed at five random tomato's "They are the culprits" she said bowing lower hating the fact she was doing this but at the same time it was needed "Get back girly let me show you what a real tomato can do" he instructed. Sophitia stood and stepped away but in the direction she should be going listening to the insults being thrown to and fro from the tomato's as they started fighting one another. She decided to take this as her cue to leave and walked down the path once more hoping not to come into anymore of these encounters as they had been nothing more than problematic to the youth.

A Wizards Grace Empty Re: A Wizards Grace

Post by Yuiisai 23rd August 2017, 6:57 pm

She finally made it to the farms and even with her own strange sight knew this place was in ruin "Even if I can rid them of the curse, will it fix this in time?" she asked herself wincing as she felt thorns cutting into her arm making her pause wincing "This isn't good everything looks the same, it's so corrupt here" she said trying to think of what would the best thing to do, she had already came across fashion forward corn and hard talking tomato's she was wondering if the next thing she would be facing was cunning cucumbers or assassin asparagus she didn't like the sound of either to be perfectly honest the last two lots were dumb thus easy to take care of but she had no idea how the rest of this would go "I'm close to where the corruption is coming from, but I have a fee-" she was cut off by what seemed like terrible sounding music so went to investigate.

After a few moment detour she seen the same energy as the corn she had met before 'Did they regain consciousness?' she thought to herself, she was pretty sure they had knocked themselves out with their own attacks against each other and there was no way they could have gotten past those rotten tomato's. "Great..." she whispered to herself starting to walk back in the hopes of not having to deal with them but she heard a snap as she stood on a twig flinching as their noise instantly stopped 'There's no way to distinguish here... I'm in trouble...' she thought to herself placing her hands forward pulling them apart quickly making the shield knowing that she was likely going to need it given the same tricks wouldn't work for a second time. No sooner than it was up than she was pounced on by one of the corn but they where forced back due to the shield 'Lucky' she thought with a sigh bringing her hands forward creating her crystalline bow again an arrow appearing ready to be fired "Fire" she muttered watching as the tip of her arrow turned into crystal fire before she released it hitting one of the corn as before she turned one of them into popped corn 'One down, four to go' she thought to herself knowing as the bow vanished it would be a few minutes before she could summon it again until then she would have to use the enemies strengths and the terrain to her advantage.

Seeing one of the others ready to ram at her she jamp back just enough to dodge the attack "I don't think so" she said, she was glad that she had the shield up so she didn't have to worry to much for now, but she knew eventually the shield would drop and she would have to rely on other things for her protection. 'Why do these things have so much hatred within them?' she asked herself dodging once more only to fall over her own feet as she couldn't distinguish between her surroundings. "I need to get out of here" she whispered as she fell to the ground awkwardly making her sprain her ankle 'Great just what I need' she thought to herself as she tried to get up but winced knowing that the situation just got worse given that she couldn't walk or run at full speed giving her a handicap "This is a mistake a recruit would make" she scolded herself
