For a few months now, Eve had found herself working with the West Fiore Trading Company. It was mostly physical work; she was severely uninvolved with any decision making or actual dealings aside from supervising and protecting other traders. Having originally come to Fiore in order to train as a battle caster, the female had only found herself working with the company after she realized that people actually required money in this society to survive... and she had none, since back in the Pergrande Kingdom Eve had basically just been a student and page whose expenses were paid for by her family and the crown. Now that she was here in Fiore, though, she had gotten herself a job to pay for the same necessities she was used to receiving.

However, she had saved a decent amount of money. It wasn't like these people were cheap, but they certainly liked to barter, so it was difficult to make extra cash. Eve planned to leave the company to seek a mages' guild somewhere; she had absolutely no clue where to start, but she figured some of her other fellow workers, who seemed to be undoubtedly from Fiore according to their local accent, might know something. Trotting up the dock, she stood on the edge of the pier and waved for one of her friends, who was passing cargo to another worker. Well, acquaintances was more like; they hauled things around together and had each others' backs.

"You wanna leave?" he asked, his first reaction surprise after she had briefly explained her train of thought to him. Eve nodded a bit impatiently, and it came through as he laughed and replied that she better talk to some higher ups about that. "Is that really necessary?" the violet haired girl groaned, but the man nodded his head, laughter still present in his eyes. "Fiiiiine," she whined reluctantly before heading back up the pier towards the building that usually served as a kind of office area. Eve pulled at her wrist sleeve as she walked, a bit annoyed at how frilly it seemed. The uniform was one thing she probably wouldn't miss, regardless of how much she liked the color and how cute the style was.

"I'd like to uh, schedule... an appointment... with somebody..." the girl flushed slightly as she stammered at the first person she met. What the hell, couldn't she just up and leave if she felt like it? All of this was making her feel awkward; it wasn't like she really wanted to go, it was a nice place to work and all, but she had bigger dreams than toting cargo around all day.

The West Fiore Trading Company had multiple people working under them and most of them had different goals in their lives that sometimes conflicted with the happenings of the trading guild. Some grew tired of just dealing with shipments of items and taking them from place to place all the time as a job. Others enjoyed going around the world to deliver these items and took the chance to see all of the different landscapes the world had for them to discover. Recently, most people had been doing the first thing which had caused the group to lose some good workers who only wanted more adventure in their lives which the CEO could completely understand but those who left were not as involved as they thought they were. There was an entirely different side to their guild that only a chunk of members knew about and operated in; The masked pirate guild, the Black Sails.

Cirven lead both sides of the guild(s) and could get the adventure side he wanted in his job so he didn't get as antsy as others to leave and go do something else even though it still happened from time to time with all of the paper work. Paperwork that the CEO sat in front of again at his desk. "I need a way out of this..." His mind wandered over thoughts as he kept thinking about a way to get out of having to do all of the paper work in front of him. He knew his secretary, Alisha had taken it upon herself to do some of the other paper work they had to help but the demon wasn't the type to just sit around signing papers. He was much more of the action type even if it was lifting boxes and taking them around to different areas. Alisha had caught him multiple times sneaking away from his duties which had prompted her to make precautions against that each time. His window had an invisible wall, he had to make appointments to leave, if he left for an emergency of any kind he would have to do the paperwork on the way, etc. Alisha was on top of most of his tricks at this point it seemed but there had to be something he could do.

He stared at the papers long enough to almost stare a hole through them which he was happy he didn't do because most of it was needed for some of the jobs the company would do soon. His eyes caught the shadow of his desk and he suddenly got the idea he was waiting for. His body morphed into shadow like energy and he jumped into the shadow of the desk. He then made his way from shadow to shadow sneaking past his secretary who sat just outside of his office and ended up making his way almost out of the building until he overheard a woman talking about wanting to set up an appointment. He recognized her as one of the WFTC's members who had shown that she was different in her skills than most. She fought against things a few times while he was around and prevented them causing him to think that she had the potential to do more.

"I'm sorry miss but you will have to come back tomorrow to do that. We have been told to not schedule any appointments for the rest of the day because of how many we have set up." The woman behind the front counter spoke out to Evelyn. She then looked side to side and moved in closer to the girl. "Our bosses can be kind of lazy so they get swarmed with work and have to call off appointments for a bit. Should be fine by tomorrow." The front counter woman seemed to be the gossiping type and even though Cirven was in the shadow of an object he could hear all she said. Anyone who looked at the shadow of a nearby wall lamp could see it flinch from what she said.

Cirven then went through the shadows leading to the front door and jumped out of them taking on his regular form. He leaned against the wall and waited for the woman to leave the building. He figured she would be annoyed about the entire situation but he knew what it all was about. He could see it on her face that she wanted to leave but he had different plans.

Haia stood by the docks, checking of things on a clipboard. She could recognize any cargo ship that gone in and out of this place like they are herds of cows. So it falls mostly on her to take note of what ships have left, what ships returned, and what ships are avaliable. Haia groaned, flipping her long brown ponytail as it blew against her face in the wind. The girl should have gone for a bun instead. Eventually, after that was over, she returned to the main hub to find a girl walking towards the offices. Haia was not familiar with every employee, but her intuition told her that she was not of the other side. With a click of her heels she tailed the girl, but thanks to her somewhat tight fitting attire and the paper work she has on herself, she would not seem so suspicious. Eventually she found herself in front of Cirven's office, which ended up being the place she needed to go as well with all the papers. Haia clicked her pen, waiting behind Evelyn. Then her eyes easily caught movement. The girl secretly groaned, Cirven was out of his office again. Haia turned heels, but before she left, she stopped before tapping Evelyn on the shoulder.

"Well you want an appointment with the CEO? Well I'll pass the message for you, come take a walk with me outside," Haia spoke professionally and calmly, before turning her heels and leaving the area.

Eve cocked her head slightly at the receptionist, who seemed to be completely unperturbed by the fact that she had just admitted straight up that the CEO and VPs of the company were deadbeat lazybutts. Not that she exactly minded that kind of transparency, but what if somebody overheard-- ah, had the shadows just moved, or was that her?? Jesu... Well, perhaps it just wasn't her problem whether this woman felt like gossiping about the people who hired her right here in the front lobby of the offices. What was her problem was that Evelyn Wensley was 100% impatient and unwilling to wait a day to just send in her resignation or whatever else was necessary.

"I'm sorry, but that is unacceptable," she told the other female firmly. However, the secretary's expression showed her just how on the edge her conduct was now becoming and as much as Eve didn't care, she also didn't feel like ending on a bad note with this company. Reluctantly, the girl whipped her head away from the desk and lightly stepped out of the doors, leaving them swinging behind her with her chest nearly heaving. Whatever. Maybe it wasn't even necessary to talk to somebody about leaving, maybe she could just get up and go. At this point, the hopeful mage wasn't interested in waiting around, she wanted to get on with her adventures already.

Just as she was collecting her thoughts and making plans to simply gather her possessions and leave behind anything related to the West Fiore Trading Company, the purple headed girl started in surprise when a tap on the shoulder attracted her attention. She turned to face in the direction of the unknown person and was met with the back of a brunette, whose ponytail flopped around as she strode away. Words floated out of her mouth and just then reached Eve's mind. She didn't really want to walk with this girl, the female just wasn't in the mood at all, and she had also established very recently that she didn't exactly care about giving the CEO leave of absence (even if that was a bad idea if she wanted future job recommendations). Still, the girl reluctantly trailed after the stranger for a few moments.

"Who are you?" she replied in a voice that had a decent amount of cheer. It wasn't as though she wasn't a positive person, but Eve happened to be rather irritated at the moment. Wasn't like it was exactly this stranger's fault though. "Actually, I don't think anymore that I need to let the CEO know..." her words turned into a grumble at the end when she realized that it might not be best to talk about her plans to leave with another employee. Maybe there was some clause in the fine print (which Eve had, with 100% certainty, not read) that stated she couldn't leave for some obscure reason, and they could catch her on it with warning of her desire to depart. Who even knew?

Cirven's place where he waited ended up being pretty opportune for when the two women exited the building. He didn't expect Haia to suddenly be there at all which he figured she had slipped inside of the building while he was moving out of his office and the two went different ways around the front desk. "You don't want a meeting with me? And I was going to bump you up to the front of the line and have that meeting now. It gets pretty boring with all the job applications I have to fill out and the hands I need to shake. Seriously contemplating learning some sort of long ranged cloning spell or something..." He spoke out to Evelyn as she stood outside of the door. "Yo, Haia. Didn't expect to see my other secretary here. Try not to tell Alisha that I'm out here. Rather not have another precaution put up that keeps me glued to my desk for anymore time than I think is needed." He hoped he could trust Haia with knowing where he was and that he was out of his office from Alisha. "It's almost like I'm a CEO but am bossed around by others at times."

His focus slipped back to Evelyn again. "So what exactly did you want to speak about with me? Is there some issue with the work you are having? Maybe a promotion or something?" The demon didn't know what to expect from the woman at all yet. All he knew was that she had some talent that could possibly be an asset at some point.

Haia looked back, her heels still clicking as she walked. They walked through several corridors before Haia made her answer as she stepped outside, where Cirven would be.

"Haia Illie Starstruck, doesn't take that bright of a mind to figure that out if you were to look at the name tag but I guess that slipped anyway," Haia then saw Cirven, predictable dog. She let the two had their conversation, and when Cirven directed his attention on to her, all she did was rolled her eyes before brushing her fringe away. What was she to say, she could use a bit of the outdoors herself, well except one thing.

"Well doggy," Her attention now on Cirven. "You being a jumpy shadow meant you listened in, and you listening in meant you have plans don't you puppers?" Haia folded her arms across her chest. She could guess.

The girl's lips twitched slightly when Haia Illie Starstruck mentioned her name tag. "Okay smartass, even you should know that your name tag is pinned on backwards. Nobody ever told you?" she taunted, laughing internally at the other female. No need to linger on that anyway, even if she had plenty of straightforward insults itching to spring from her mouth. Like her full name would even be written there anyways. At that point, a man had popped up from somewhere; the first words out of his mouth started Eve already. He was the CEO, then... wait, how long had he been around? Whatever, if she had said any insults they were already all done with anyway. But something he said... "I don't need that meeting any more," she responded as politely as she could manage. This guy was her employer-- hopefully to be former employer, and it wouldn't do to be unnecessarily rude. He talked freely about cloning spells, which was a bit unnerving to the girl to be honest. Perhaps it was just her habits from her homeland, but nobody except secret mages ever discussed magic. This was Fiore though, so it was just Eve... definitely just Eve.

He did seem to be more friendly than a lot of office types she had met before, who often seemed perturbed by regular workers and didn't want to interact with them. The joking put her a bit at ease. Actually, when she was young her teacher had held a similar position and always ordered around one of the generals despite rank. Of course, that was before all of the throne and succession business that had led so many people to flee the Pergrande Kingdom, but still, "It's good for your health, sir," she dared to answer, although not with any kind of aggression or jibing in her tone. He turned to talk to Haia for a little bit, and Eve's focus slipped as she surveyed the sky and mentally checked the time. It wasn't getting late, exactly, but-- oh, his attention was directed towards her again.

The words made her blush slightly with annoyance. "I'm sure the work is... reasonable. And I do not want a promotion; the opposite, actually, I wish to ask one question and afterwards I plan to leave the trading company. This is simply not what I desire," she finished in a steady voice as she brought her eyes up to level at the man. Haia seemed to be speaking, saying something about... well, lots of canine references. Was that complimentary? Maybe they just knew each other well enough to joke around. Either way, she did confirm that the man had somehow been listening in on her conversation with the receptionist (Eve hardly even remembered what she had said anyway; the only trace that it had been had was the annoyance lingering from the interaction). "The one question is if you have a favorite mages' guild," she added as an afterthought. Since Eve was planning to go regardless of whether it was on favorable terms, she decided it wouldn't hurt to just lay all her cards out on the table. She really did need recommendations, being a newcomer to Fiore who hadn't heard of any guilds at all. Of course, she would probably ask more people too and do some searching of her own.

    Persona 5 ~ Price:

The West Fiore Trading Company also known as the disguise of the pirate guild known as Black Sails. The WFTC is mostly run by employés who aren't part of the main guild, but some members of the main guild also work from time to time in the company, especially Cirven and Julius, since Cirven is the guildmaster of Black Sails that will automatically give him the rights to become the CEO of the WFTC, meanwhile Julius has recently been promoted on becoming the ace of Black Sails which made him automatically the vice president of the WFTC while it does sound fancy and everything most of the time Julius is busy with paper work and listening to the complaints of customers cause their cargo got damaged during the shipping, Julius also has to listen to the complaints and quarrels between employés cause one of them had eaten the gluten free bread of them cause they are following a stupid diet or something which doesn't allow them to eat products with gluten in them. Though one of the bonuses that came along with his promotion was his own office where Julius usually spent most of his time when he was working in the company.

A soft knock could be heard on the door. Um excuse me, vice president Seas am I intruding? Julius lifted his head and looked towards the door, Julius wasn't really busy he was mostly just looking over some files. Not at all, please come in! Julius said while he straightened his bow tie and pushed his transparent sunglasses back onto his nose. Usually Julius wears his pirate gown, but since that would look weird in a company Julius wears black shoes with black pants, a white button up shirt, a black blazer and a bow tie. Julius quickly shoved a lollipop into his mouth and the person walked into his office. What can I do for you? Julius had practiced a lot to break this habit of speaking in the third person, while it took a lot of practice Julius managed to do it fluently now. The phone at the front desk has been ringing a lot today and when I took a look it seemed like the receptionist was more busy talking with other people then answering calls... The woman said softly. Oh for Neptune's sake! How many times have I told this woman to stop gossiping all day long... Julius rubbed his nose in annoyance. It's alright... Thank you for telling me I'll do something about it... Julius said with a sigh, the woman nodded and continued with her work while Julius walked out of his office towards the front desk.

At the front desk Julius noticed that Cirven and Haia were talking to a girl, Julius didn't paid much attention to it at first since he was actually here for the gossiping woman. Felicia darling, if you have the time to gossip then you probably also have time to answer calls don't you? Julius said with an empty smile towards the woman, she broke out into a sweat and nodded while quickly grabbing the phone.

Julius then turned himself towards Haia and Cirven. Hello there Cirven and Haia! Julius greeted the two and then directed his face towards the girl standing in front of them. And who might you be?

Cirven could only smirk to Haia who questioned the idea he had. The girl wasn't dumb at all and had a tendency for picking up on the plans others had around them at times which was always a good thing to have around. Prediction was key to most things in life because preparation could mean everything in most events. The new girl asked a question of him which threw him off a bit. Why did she want to know of his favorite guild? Did she plan on going to join such guild or something? Maybe she wanted a different experience than what she was having now? He couldn't figure it out quick enough because before he could either answer or think of what she was planning his Vice President called out to him and Haia making his appearance with them just outside of the entrance of the building.

"Yo, Juls. Thought you would be as deep in paperwork as I should be. Don't tell Alisha!" He almost yelled out the last part at his guild ace. "Maybe you left your office to get some air and maybe some excitement too?" He questioned Julius a bit before continuing with Evelyn.

After listening to what response Julius gave he would turn to Evelyn again while using what time he spent talking to Julius a bit to think of his answer more and what she wanted. He basically took a shot in the dark. "So back to you. My favorite guild, huh? There is this one guild that I have a certain a fixation with. I'm guessing you want a sort of endorsement for this guild that I like?
Maybe use me as a way into it?
" Cirven's face broke off into a grin. "Doesn't matter either way though because I'm sure they will be happy to have someone like you. I have seen the potential you have in fighting. Just need someone to hone in on that potential and let it grow.
So, if you want help with that and a chunk of adventure along with a good amount of jewel you need to go down to the center of the split in divide island just below where we stand. There is a path that leads there and to a dead end. I'll contact some members of this guild to meet you there. Sound good?
" He offered the girl a new job basically. A job where things would completely change for her.

Haia noted the smart, and sharp come back that Eve said to her. She will admit that Eve is starting to rub up to her, and clearly Cirven too. Unlike the CEO, she is not at most familiar with the girl like he is when it came to staff, she was more familiar with the boats and the paperwork, which unlike her two colleagues beside her, giving a nod and a swish of her fringe in greetings towards Julius the Vice President, finished with incredible judgement and swiftness, though she will admit her workload is not as much as the main secretary Alisha. Haia let the man in charge have their conversation. It was obvious where the conversation was going and her personal talent of observation knew the next course of action.

She took a bow in front of Cirven, and when she straightened herself again, she slammed into his chest the clipboard containing the report she was holding before scoffing, "What do you mean contact? You barely have the time to finish that piling work on your desk oh Mr Cirven Extremely Occupied. I'll do it for you instead, besides, I need myself a walk away from the tech," Haia said before strutting off back into the building to who knows where. It would be obvious on who plans to greet the young girl Eve on the small arrangement Cirven planned.
