[Private] Magnetism vs Dreams

Crocus the Capital of the City of Fiore, so much history here so much riche history here. Before his father retired to the country side, he was once a rather successful merchant in this city. His father didn’t want him to take over the farm, instead he wanted him to move to Crocus and become a merchant just like he was but at last Demetri wanted to be a mechanic and live in motor city. But both plans didn’t come into fruition because the magic council didn’t protect their people, anger slowly rose within the magnetism manipulator as he hovered above the city. Stalking its twisted streets and complex buildings; they seemed to be wealthy everyone within the city seemed to be wealthy. Clenching his fist, he shakes his head in frustration. “Reckless Mundanes,’ he slowly makes his way down to the ground, particularly in the center of the road.

Upon landing in the center of the road Demetri was greeted by the honking of horns, turning his attention to them he raised both hands. Creating a strong ambient ferromagnetic field within a 20-meter diameter; everything sensitive to a ferromagnetic field slowly started to rise from the ground and orbit around Demetri. People were jumping out of cars in order not to be caught midair, mail boxes were ripped from their post and hovered in midair, poles were ripped from their bases and towards the center of the field, even the trashcans were not free from this magnetic field. Armor that vendors were selling floated towards him, it was a total mess; and the only thing Demetri could think of was ‘Sorry to the janitor’.

“Here me! From this day on I call upon war with the magic council! In order for the liberation of Mages” He yells across the groaning of metal, his voice was like a dramatic Shakespearian actor who was playing as Macbeth. “To those guilds who fight for the magic council, you are now enemies to your own kind, ashamed you should be about that”

(Real world PoV)
The sound of a light snore was drowned out by the screaming of the people of the capital Crocus. Apparently some guy in red and purple is making an attempt to derail society or the Magic Counsel or... Something of that matter. Basic bad guy stuff. So, the young purple-haired mage was sent out to deal with the problem. The man wasn't as strong as major threats, in fact he was just a lowly D rank like she was. Therefore they sent out Alex Hata to take care of the man, and detain him. Solve the problem. Basic good guy stuff. So Alex was now standing on a building, snoring away while thinking up a strategy.

"This stupid piece of crap... He makes me get out of bed... Makes me stop enjoying my sleep... Just to... Mess with the townspeople."

(Dreamland PoV, only Alex can see / hear)
Alex saw the world around her change, into the stuff of her nightmares. A bleak world, one that looks like the aftermath of an apocalypse.

Why... This one...? Dilon... You there?

"Always, milady. I am apart of your mind."

"Alright, Dilon, let's just do this with the element of surprise, stun him... That should work. He is flying, but we're at a higher vantage point."

"Er... Milady, you do know my power is weakened in this dreaded land... Right?"

To that, Alex nodded, and gestured to one of the doors.

(Real world)
With that, Alex stood up, and put her hands to her head, and then a magic circle appeared behind her. Pointing her right hand at the man, a larger-than-average-sized hawk bursted out through the magic circle, and launched a beam at the foe, a black and red beam of energy that would sap the foe of its life force, but it wouldn't heal Alex like it normally would, as.

Watching the people scream and terror, Demetri simply hovered there admiring his handy work. Admittedly, he wasn’t doing anything just yet; simply letting metal float in midair. Although Demetri was admittedly a D-rank mage, he carried himself like he was a A-rank or S-rank mage; seemingly arrogant of his own rank and ignorant of his own abilities. The wind blew through his beautiful purple cloak, giving him a rather dramatic appeal, he tried to remain in his own little world. Ignoring the screams of the citizens, he had no real desire to harm them, he simply desired to place fear in them, which by the way it seemed to be working; there is nothing best then watching the fear of your enemy.

Although he heard something that didn’t sound like the screaming of innocent citizens, instead he could have sworn that he heard a hawk and by the sound of it a rather large hawk. Frowning a little he turned to see the rather overly large hawk shoot some sort of beam at him, his eyes widen and he quick raises both palms towards the beam. Intensifying a magnetic field around him, a sphere of purple seemingly electric energy formed around him. Protecting the caster from the beam of unknown energy however, the impact sent him flying down to the ground. As soon as the beam came into contact with Demetri’s shield and dissipated; the magnetic field shield dissipated with it.

“Show yourself, where is the honor in fighting in the shadows?” Gesturing to a trashcan that was hovering by, he then gestures to the area of the beam. The trashcan was then launched towards the hawk however, it was rather predictable and someone with good reflexes could dodge the trash can. While the trashcan was sent rushed towards the mysterious figure near the hawk, Demetri stood up dusting himself off and once again raised himself from the ground.

Alright, so the element of surprised failed, rather horribly at that. In Alex's PoV, Demetri looked like nothing more than an average demon, but then again so did everyone. Just a demon in her nightmare land, one of many. The only ones who didn't look like demons were those who resided inside Alex's mind, as well as Alex herself.

Seeing that Demetri fell to the ground, Alex put her hands to her head again. However, her focus was lost as she heard his taunt. Alex's cynical, sarcastic side immediately shown out, as she stood parallel to the ground, literally standing on the outside wall of the building she was on, and yelled to the man.

"I see a difference between fighting for honor, and using strategy. In case you didn't realize, we're not having a duel. Besides, I wasn't in the shadows in the first place, I was in the wide op-ACK!"

Suddenly, the drowsing, sleeping maiden was struck with, in her mind, looked like some giant rock, like a mini meteor. It hit her, and launched her a little bit backward, making her land on the actual ground. Shifting her gravity to normal, Alex raised her hands to her head, then placed them on the ground. Suddenly a massive magic circle appeared on the ground below her, and a massive 30 ft long pig appeared. It oinked with the ferocity of a lion, and then charged directly at Demetri, in an attempt to give him bait. Hopefully it'd work.

Magnetite snickers at the girl, of course the element of surprise wouldn’t have worked on him; he was always on high alert. Or well at least when you hear the screeching of some giant animal. Pausing for a moment, he wondered if she was actually awake, or was she dreaming. She seemed to be happily asleep, or well at least in some dream/sleep state; sleep walking maybe? How was she standing on the wall? Then again Demetri could repulse off the earth’s magnetic field and fly another words it didn’t matter.

“Either way, a fight should be honorable both in a duel, or outside a duel” He comments coldly, to him his honor was everything. Well, it was the only thing he really had left, his family was taken away, every friend he had was murdered. The only thing that he had left was his stubborn pride and his honor, alongside his magic over magnetism and electromagnetism. For now, however, that was all he needed, right now it was the only thing he needed. Pausing for a moment he noticed that a pig was summoned, even more he noticed that the pig was roaring with the ferocity of a lion. “Interesting?” he thought to himself, admittedly he was taken by surprise. The pig rushed into Demetri forcing him back 10 meters into a wall, growing a little he covered his eyes when the pig shattered into light.

“Very well, we seek to play like that” he raises a hand, he raises his hand once again, gathering a magnetic field around him, he releases a wave of pure magnetic energy, the energy caused the ground to crack underneath it, cars and other magnetic objects were pushed away. Hopefully the attack would be successful and if so the target would feel some heat.

Alex's attack... Worked? Alex had intended for it to be a fake out of sorts, baiting the man into counterattack or dodge, and then to capitalize off of that. Instead, he just took it to the face, with Senor Porkchop having pushed the man into a wall, with little to no effort. Alexis had a shocked face, until she saw the man recover, and then launch his own projectile at her. Alex drowsily tried to avoid it, but was struck with the projectile simply due to her not being nimble enough. Bits of her jacket were torn with the cutting effect of the spell, and Alex was forced back a good amount, and her skin felt hot. She didn't get knocked off her feet, surprisingly, and she soon recovered from the strike.

"Commanding the very ground to attack me?"

Alex then raised her hands to her head and behind her magic circle appeared. Soon, an orange parasite-looking substance coated her body, then began to look like armor. A metal suit of alien armor now covered her body, and Alex ran forward, apparently much more alert. She wasn't fully drowsing, but not awake at this point. Alex ran forward, and before reaching the magnetism mage, walked through a doorway. The doorway, in her mind, that is. To the opposing mage, it'd look like nothing more than Alex vanishing. Two seconds later, she reappeared 2 meters in front of Magnetite, and fired her blaster. If she planned this correct, Alex's close range could provide a meaningful hit, at the cost of leaving herself open.

“I must admit that was an impressive shot, a unique magic designed to catch people off guard? Yes? Never the less it won’t work again” He took notice in her facial expressions, she was surprised but why? Quietly he was musing over the fact that his attack was successful, then frowned a little when she recovered, admittedly he was impressed with her endurance. The magnetism mage’s body was admittedly bruised, his once clean crimson red clothing was now tainted with dirt, his cloak was tattered and torn from being thrown into the wall. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he noticed that she was casting a spell, quickly he gathered random objects around him, preparing himself to counter any attack.

“Do you really think it would be wise for a woman in a metal suit, fight the master of magnetism? Where is the wisdom in this spell?” Smirking, he raises a hand, in attempt to pin her down via ferromagnetic field. He was utterly shock when his ferromagnetic powers didn’t work, taking a step back he scoffs in surprise. “How? How? How can your armor resist my magic? Unless it is not metal” he murmurs, suddenly without warning he was struck with the ball of energy. A wave of warmth washed over him, and he kneels down to the ground, holding his stomach.

Growling as he stands up, there was searing marks where the ball of energy crashed into him. “I have underestimated you, I really have……but no matter, no matter things will change” raising both hands towards his side, he slowly brings his hands to his stomach. Creating a strong attractive magnetic field, magnetized objects including people, were slowly being attracted towards Demetri within a 10-meter radius. Anything caught with the path way of the metal, would receive cuts if they are sharp objects, and bruises for blunt objects.
