    Type: Item, Mask
    Description:
    Mask of the Lichborne:
For some, this mask means nothing; for others, the remembrance of a struggled time past will come forth in their minds. A sense of fear will overwhelm them and they will find themselves looking away from the mask whenever they see it. They may not recollect why or maybe they will, but this mask has become a symbol of terror and will remain as so. Its origin is completely unknown to those who have encountered it, just that it appeared one day on the face of a terrorist. The mask, itself, is a complex structure, ancient and worn down through time from everything it had ever gone through. Turned from bronze to a rustic black, this mask is nothing more than a simple reminder of times that were long ago. But in spite of its old nature, this mask is far more potent than a person may realize, still containing within the magic of its former owner.

Who forged this mask for its former owner is unknown; in fact, how it even came into existence is unknown as well. This mask bears the resemblance of a theatre mask, a saddened facial appearance, but with a clockwork structure on it. Gadgets and trinkets can be seen all over the mask, melted together and forged to create what it is known as now today. These gadgets only cover half of the overall mask, however, with the left side being made from a completely different substance. Each side is unique in its own way, with the right side having what looks to be handcrafted gadgets and the left side being utter obsidian. The right side is completely unscathed, but the left side as various cracks within that were produced by man. What or who made these cracks is unknown, but it appears that these cracks do not affect the functionality of the mask itself.

Where the gadgets and gears have their remnants of a golden-bronze hue, the other side is ashen and seemingly burnt. How this came to be is unknown, or perhaps it had been created to have that strange dual-toned look it has now. The right side appears to be more guarded, where bits and pieces of the gears and gadgets stick out in an array of design. Versus the other side, which happens to be barren of any sort of construct, and left to look as it's just cracked skin. It is a very beautiful and intricate mask; however, over time, it has gained a disputable reputation among magi. Once smashed and left in the confines of Fairy Tail's old guild hall, it is a wonder how it was placed back into the hands of a Savage Skull member. On top of that, it has since been repaired by unknown means, in the possession of person who had never met its former owner, Lichborne.
    Strengths:

    • The mask only works when its owner is wearing it, so if another person aims to use it, none of the abilities will activate
    • Fashioned from a strong piece of substance, making it extremely durable against attacks; however, the substance is unknown
    • A creative-looking mask that emits off a strange feeling, one of immense power that draws people away from it

    Weaknesses:

    • The mask is an entity of its own, creating another personality in the wearer when the mask is being worn
    • It is a rather large item, but despite its size, the mask can still be taken off of the wearer and thrown aside or lost
    • While it may not be able to shatter into a million pieces, the mask is able to crack, negates its effects once a few cracks (about 10) are received
    • When wearing this mask, the wearer's own life force becomes a part of the mask, giving it the durability of the wearer's own health; once the mask's durability runs out, the wearer is considered "dead"

    Abilities:

    • Exorcism (S-rank): Upon donning this mask, the wearer will fill imbued, invigorated, and as if they could fight until the end of time. They ultimately feel stronger and as if they could last longer in a battle than the average mage because of the mask. However, the mask doesn't boost their speed or their stamina in anyway, rather it boost the very health of the wearer. When wearing this mask, the wearer will be given a permanent extension to their base health unless the mask is removed. This permanent buff is a basis of 15% increase, boosting their health from, say, 400 hit points to 460 hit points. It is a passive buff, meaning there is no way to reduce the effects of the buff, but there is a way to entirely negate the buff. For instance, if the mask were to be removed, the buff would be entirely negated, or if it was to be cracked, the buff would be negated.
    • Deception (A-rank): This mask was created from the very essence that gives magi their ability to produce and cast spells from their body. Because of this, the mask has an overwhelming amount of power located inside of it, emitting it off at a larger range than that of an H-rank. It gives off the illusion that the wearer of the mask is more powerful than they seem, but in reality, does nothing more than that. However, while it may do this as a means of a weaknesses toward its wearer, the wearer is benefited by this ability. For every time they wear this mask, the wearer is given a permanent buff (assuming they never take the mask off) to their base magical power. Of course, as soon as this mask is taken off or cracked in any way, the wearer will lose the increase to their magic pool. This increase to their mana pool is 20%, boosting it up from the normal 100% the average magi has to 120%.
