    Mission Data:

Haia was strolling through the streets of good old Crocus, lively place it is, it does bring the horrible memory of the pervert squeezing her ass back when she helped save a maid cafe from folding, she got an awesome amount of jewels and a nicely made maid uniform for the reward, awfully nice. As much as she may never don that outfit ever, maybe she should try working in the Siren's Song for extra cash and wearing that outfit again. Haia felt sweat drop and laughed awkwardly to herself at the thought. She would just be outclassed by Alisha, for many reasons, two of them being on her chest. Haia then remembers the sole reason she was back in Crocus, to get herself a fluffy blanket. Just not any fluffy blanket, the one from this store specifically.

She walks in with a smile, to see a very depressed looking man in a tailored suit. Haia then saw why, they do not have any more blankets for sale, and by her guess he was abiut to close shop and get drunk. The man's gaze then went up to her and almost broke into a crying fit.

"Madam! I'm afraid I'm all out of blankets! You would have to come back until some brave soul decides to venture into the Spooky Forest and retrieve the Ram's fleece!" He seemed to brighten up at the thought of the Ram but immediately broke into sobs. "But no one is crazy enough to do that!"

Haia looked at him, and gave him pats his back while smiling awkwardly, she honestly wonders if the man even noticed her garb. Longbow, quiver full of arrows, clearly capable of hunting. Haia steps away and askes where she can find the Ram. As if the man just saw a blessing, he immediately gave her the location and she left.

Mission, kill a very big sheep with the world's fluffiest coat of fleece. Does not sound like a problem. It was just a question of wonder, how the heck does a sheep with extremely fluffy fur live in a place like the Spooky Forest?

Haia shifted her feet across the dirt, this was as far as the horse would take her. The clip clop of horse feet were soon distant as Haia stares into the vast evergreen of the Spooky Forest. It was still a lush green forest, just darker and more malicious in nature. The Spooky Forest had a reputation for uglier things too. It was not a forest Haia would call home. She sets foot in the grass and the fallen leaves crunch under her boot, Haia looks towards the sun and weaved a few thick threads of light and ties it around a tree before making her way in, she need a failsafe incase she got lost in this place. She already knows she is being watched.

As light slowly trails behind Haia, she looks at her map, from her location, apparantly there are landmarks to find the Ram. First landmark was Chickens. Chickens? Haia looked around for signs of white feathers. She felt like she was being a total idiot. Well whatever the man meant by Chicken she hopes at least it was viable. She stopped on her tracks and took a breather to think of her next move. How was she going to locate the Ram with a map like this.

Haia sighed and crossed her arms across her chest, eyes closed as she thinks of her strategy. She then heard rumbling. Haia immediately decided to investigate, it might be the Ram. She then started running towards the rumbling. But then she stopped. The rumbling was circling her, she can hear the hooves thundering across the ground around her. She was surrounded by something. She raised her longbow and readied an arrow. Haia hears the rumble stop and spreads her feet, ready to jump when possible. She listens. The rumble is behind!

Haia rolls to side away from a charging herd of 3 pigs. They crash into the bush and their high pitches squeal made Haia's ears ring as they struggled to get out of their predicament. Then she heard an even louder rumble, the hooves were heavier, stronger and she could feel the vibration. This does not bode well. Haia could hear trees in the distance crash to the ground. Just what was charging. Haia is then met with red eyes. She could see black fleece. The horns were huged and curled up like a snail shell. Haia had seen big things, but a ram that size is plain monstrous. It easily plowed through the trees and was heading towards Haia.

Haia quickly rolled out of the way of the Ram and watched it plow through more trees while trying to come to a halt. Haia could not believe her eyes anymore. She scrambled to her feet seeing that the pigs and Ram was now facing her, it was rather obvious she was not welcomed by the creatures of the forest. She gritted her teeth, she needed to deal with the small fry first before the Ram itself. She nods to herself at her plan and the pigs begin their advance, followed by the Ram charging behind, the hooves thundering across the ground. Haia had to keep her balance as they stampeded. She runs out of the way and fires an arrow towards one pig's hind leg and smiled as it pierced the body with no problems, making it squeal as it toppled over and gets crushed by the Ram. Must be all fat. She looks at the pig's corpse. It was not just crushed, it was sliced at the same time. She made note not to go under the Ram.

This time the Ram charged first followed by the pigs behind. It gave Haia less time to react and she barely made it out as she skid across the ground. Thank god for the long sleeves. She scrambles to her feet once more as the pigs oinked loudly in a battlecry and made for her again, the Ram bellowed angrily and steam came out of its black nostrils. Haia once again shot the pigs at their hind legs and watch them squeal and burst into blood and flesh as the Ram stampedes over them towards the fleeing Haia. Now she got the pigs dead, thanks to a bit of wit. Just have to deal with the big bad sheep behind her. She kept running, hearing trees topple and splinters whistle through the air as the Ram charged through the forest, birds fleeing from their lives.

Haia bursts into a clearing and skids to a halt. Another Ram was coming towards her and the ram behind her was not stopping. She ran towards the Ram infront of her and kick of his head and lands safely on the foliage of the trees. The Rams ram into each other with great force and the forest shook, Haia could feel the trees sway at the massive pound of heads and was knock off balance and landed on her butt. She rubs it and watches the Rams butt heads once more, shaking the earth and causing tremors in the trees. They pretty much forgot that Haia was there. She slowly gets to her feet, trying make as little noise as possible, her movement sloth speed and barely visible. The Rams butt heads once more, causing Haia to struggle with maintaining balance. She grabbed her bow and arrow once more and thought to herself, how many arrows to kill one Ram. She lifts her feet slowly and moves it back before gently moving it down and hearing a crack. She looks at her feet but had no time to check what she stepped on as the Ram bellowed and roared a ridiculously sounding baa as they charged towards her once more. Haia stumbled and spun around backwards and quickly ran as fast as possible. She needed a way to stop the Rams in their tracks. She makes a left turn and nearly falls over as she lost her balance for a moment, the inertia of the Rams' charge had them skidding further from her and forcing them to delay their charge. Haia prays she does not run into another Ram as she made her way through more forest.

Haia runs through more forest, hearing trees topple behind her. She leaps over a rock and lands on top of a pig. Well one of the three pigs bathing in mud. Haia blinks and stares at the pig, then it started squealing and bucked Haia off its back. Haia lands face first on the shore of the mud pond and quickly gets up upon hearing the sound of the hooves. Just what is with the Spooky Forest and all these crazy animals? As Haia narrowly avoids a tree branch. She sees something, brownish in color with a bright jade green trailing behind it. She saw what it was. A flock of flying chickens. She saw them quickly approaching, she needed to think of a plan quickly or she would get sandwiched by animals. She runs through her options and picks the first one immediately.

Haia clasps her hands together and light gathers in a dazzling flash between her palms before erupting into a beautiful white sword. She swings the sword with all her might and watches the sword cleave through the whole flock coming at her. She then throws the sword behind and does not watch it fly into one of the Ram's hide and disappears, it bellowed from its injury as it continued to trample onwards, crushing the bones of the pigs that got caught in the Rams' path. Haia leapts over another rock and crashes down onto a bush. She needed a way to fight the Ram without running. There is just too many trees to fight in a clear playing field. Wait, if she can't have a clear playing field, she would make her own. She stops in her tracks and jumps out of the way of the Rams. They made a clear path of fallen trees in their stampede. Haia moves onto a fallen tree and raises her bow, the sword returning to her and reappearing as she draws her long bow. The Rams had stop their charge and in their rage the uninjured one pushes the other aside and lowering its head, it charges once more. Haia waited, she needed a good time to land this. Then it came, the trees exploded into splinters that get caught in the Ram's fleece as it charged and crushed. Haia fired her arrow and watches it impale itself into the Ram's nose. Haia then leaps onto the swod and onto the Ram's back as the sword returned to her hand once more. One Ram was at her mercy.

She held onto the Ram by holding its fleece tightly. It bucked several times, trying to get her off. Haia stabbed its back with the sword and it moaned as it went into a rage. The other Ram did something reckless too. It started charging towards Haia and knocked down its somewhat companion. Haia uses this chance to leap onto the other Ram and ram the sword into the hide of the Ram. It bellowed and birds flew away. Haia screw drives the sword; gouging the insides. The Ram then did something drastic. It threw its body at a tree and crashed into it like a wooly wrecking ball. It did prove effective of getting Haia out and making her lose her sword. She gathers herself as her vision was blurry from impact. Guess she was not expecting it to ram itself into a tree to try to throw her off.

Haia shifts uncomfortably, she needed to get up quickly. She shifts to her knees and feels the ground tremble and quake. One of is back on their feet and charging towards her rapidly. Haia quickly shakes her head and looks up, the Ram was already close and it sent her flying through the trees and above the canopy. She looks up at the sky, it was a beautiful bright baby blue, stained by clouds of white with silver linings. She crashed into trees and branches broke under her weight, twings and splinters scratching her skin as she lands on the base of the tree. So much for mounting them. She sits there, trying to recover. She felt the damage alright. She dusts herself and pulls a splinter lodge in her arm, wincing as the piece of wood came off. She crawls to her feet, brushing of dirt from her clothes. She needed to return to those Rams. Haia could feel the ground tremble again, weaker but definitely becoming stronger with each beat of her heart. She licked her lips to get moisture on them. Just how touch were these Rams? She then finds a lack of something. Her bow Orion. She needed that back. She shifts a feet, testing to see whether she could move it. It was fine, to her relief. She checked the other, fine too. Haia gives herself a relaxing stretch. She then took a deel breath. Running from and mounting those rams took quite a bit of stamina of her. She then pays attention. The Rams was coming her way. Haia saw birds flying across the cyan sky from the North. Thats where her bow is, hopefully. She lost her thread to make her way out of the forest. All she can hope is to at least get one Ram and trying to drag it out before the second one could get her. Even better she gets both. She makes her dash towards the Rams, praying for the best for her bow, she did not want to lose it after it has been with her for a long time.

Silence of the Ram[Job/Private] Empty Re: Silence of the Ram[Job/Private]

    Post by Triple_Hell 27th December 2016, 11:37 pm

Haia dashes across the fallen leaves of the undergrowth, jumping over roots and small plants. The Ram had knocked her really far, but it caught up rather quick. It was now behind her, razor sharp hooves shaving the ground of its leaves and plants, scratching the dirt surface. Tremors rock the heads of trees and trembled the ground. Trees bow below its feet as they get crushed and their splinters flew like bullets. Haia swears that she would rather fight one than two. Haia then stops. The previous plan worked. She runs head first into the Ram chasing behind her and slams her foot on its gray head right between its angry black beady eyes and vaults over it, landing on its soft fluffy back. She watches the Ram skid to a halt and fell over its feet, its inertia dragging it into the trees and bushes. Haia takes this chance to somersault off the beast and lands gracefully on the ground. She makes a mad dash for where she was before, the Ram had definitely knocked her a good distance. She lost her whole quiver of arrows and her bow, without them she could not continue her hunt and would fail the job. She is not going to fail.

She finds herself back in the clearing, the other Ram resting on the ground, probably sleeping to heal. She approaches it carefully, she could see it, her bow was hanging on the Ram's horn. Her arrows were scattered across the ground, some broken into bits while some were just hanging by the ends of their fibers. She managed to find some intact arrows, reducing the amount she needs to spend on the Orion type arrows. She creeps towards the Ram, not wanting to stir it. She reaches out for her bow, and grabs it. She pulls it towards her and gives it a hug, the firm hard wood back in her arms. She then thinks to herself, she needs some sort of way to deal with getting a Ram corpse to Crocus, especially one the size of a car out of the Spooky Forest. She sighed and stared at the sleeping beast. Without the fact its trying to charge you down to death, it was rather peaceful looking. But one kill is nothing, as long as she honors it. She slowly grabs an arrow, and approaches the beast. Just one stab in the neck and it is just a matter of transportation.

She bends down, trying to find the throat, she moves her hand across its hide, surprisingly tough. She hears some snorts, she freezes. She looks at the Ram's head, still asleep. She went back to what she was doing. She finds the throat, it heaves up and down. She raises her arrow and swiftly it went in. Blood spurts and the Ram bleats in pain as it woke up suddenly. Haia quick steps away and watches the animal beg for air and drops to its knees in a loud crash. She approaches it carefully and pulls her arrow out. It was dead. Now all she need to do is to honor its death like the hunter she is. She knocks of one of its horns and makes a small tomb for it. She thanked it for the kill before heaving the head on her shoulders and dragging the huge carcass.

As Haia dragged the corpse, she hears thundering hooves once more. Of course she was not going to get the corpse out of the forest without a fight. She steps away from the corpse and readies herself. She has a plan. Kick the thing in the face and get on its back. Then its a matter of staying on and stabbing the thing to death. She hears the hooves get closer. Then it stops, surprising and scaring Haia. She felt cold sweat run down her face and back. Why is she so scared? She raised her bow and notched an arrow, her vision sharpened. She then hears the hooves again, but they stopped for a moment. She then has the urge to look up, and she did and quickly rolls away. The Ram had somehow gained height and came crashing down. Haia narrowly managed to roll away and quickly shot an arrow, wounding the Ram's hide.

It was not long for it to get back on its feet, Haia got ready another arrow. It was getting tired already, salive was dripping out of its mouth. But she was feeling tired herself. She took in a deep breath, watching the Ram scrape the ground near its dead friend. It bellowed and panted, Haia breathed out. It lowers its head, its hooves shaving the ground more. It shooks its head, the fleece swaying in motion. Haia shifted her feet, ready to spring into action. It was quick. Haia rammed her foot into its head and somersaults over her prey and thrusts an arrow into its back. It bleats and stomps on the ground unlike before. Haia imagined it must have learnt. But however it has yet to learn to tackle having someone on its back. Like a wild horse it bucks continously, trying to get Haia off its fluffy back. Of course with little avail. The young 19 year old kept her stance and showed the beast the underworld through its back. Haia mercilessly stabbed the Ram's back. She then drives her feet into its side as she point her bow and the arrow, stained in blood and unleashes Yumi.

Three arrows of pure white light formed around Haia, shining brightly in the dark forest. It looks like a glimmer of hope. Haia pointed down towards the wound. The bright red blood of the beast shines eerily in the gaze of Holy Light. Thus began endless assault. Haia fire her arrow and it went deep into the Ram's back, like a nail in wood. And just like that, like a pack of hungry wolves that have gathered to pounce their prey, the light arrows formed by Yumi went into the flesh, blood spurting all over the girl and the fleece. Haia then drove her hand into the wound to pull the arrow out. She is running out stamina and so is the Ram. The Ram settled down, trying its best to regain its breath. Haia used this time to start hitting the Ram again, with much less effort than before.

Haia then hits a sweet spot. The Ram bucked up and Haia gets thrown off. It toppled over its own feet and crashed to the ground. Haia on the other hand manages to land on her feet, the arrow that was impale in her blood stained hands. She gets up and sees the Ram struggling to get up. She is getting tired. She raised her bow, it felt heavier now, pulled the drawstring and the arrows of light returned. One arrow more. Panting, she aimed at her target. Holding her breath, she fires the arrow. It flew swiftly, like an obidient soldier heading towards the enemy, it whistles through the air and like a platoon the light arrows follow uniformly. The arrow landed in the throat just like how she wanted it. Two dead Rams for the guy in Crocus. Haia say down, she needed time to recover or she is never going to bring these two back. She looks at her hand, all bloodied and sticky. She gets up, she just needs some water. She starts to look around for a stream. Was not too long, she kneels down and washes her hands and face, watching the red follow the current. She stares at it long, before proceeding back to the Rams, she wants that blanket after all. She takes a stroll back, she still needed to calm down. Nearly losing her bow frightened her, it may be years old now but the material held strong and still is, ironwood is a good wood too, being non flammable. She finds herself back in the battle ground, her emerald cape dancing in the wind that has picked up. She bents down and chucks the recently dead Ram's horn off and buries it in a tomb. Every prey has to be respected and returned to the earth. She pulls sunlight from the sky, makes strong wraps around the dead bodies and proceeds to pull them, heaving them each step, the dirt shifting with each pull. They were ridiculously heavy, and Haia wished there was a better way to do this. And Crocus is a good distance away. She hopes maybe a shipping caravan may arrive and be able to make it to Crocus but it looks like that would be like something from a theatre show.

Somehow, Haia managed to make it to Crocus. Miraculously at night a trading caravan that was carrying large goods happened to pass by. In exchange for their help, she gave them the other Ram to use. They were delighted all right, after they reached Crocus they took the Ram and went out of town, most likely to shave it and eat it. Haia's endeavour made her stomach growl. She reaches the shop once again and knocks on the door, awaiting a response, which came quick because the owner had a delightful and very surprised face. She smiled, she was bruised all over and had a tough fight, but she still managed to come back alive to make an old man smile. The owner tells Haia to wait before grabbing a pulley to bring the ram in through the roof. Haia could not help but wonder what goes on inside, but she waited outside, using the time to recover from her wounds. A nice bath in the Glowing Pool would be nice, all she had to do was make her trip to the Ancient Ruins and await a ship. She hears the door wind chime chime and sees the owner holding a big fluffy blanket and a sack of jewels on top.

"For your efforts miss," He said. Haia took it graciously with her hands and bows. She was happy to be of a service, and she is going to sleep well tonight.
