Update Shurit, the strategist of the nekroz

Post by Shurit 28th September 2016, 1:08 pm

    Name: Shurit
    Gender: Male
    Age: 23
    Birthday: December 21
    Sexuality: Straight
    Special Characteristics:
Shurit has two coloured eyes. His left eye is deep blue, while his right eye is brown.
Shurit has bright red hair, but the hair on the front of his head is light grey, almost white.

    Personality:
Shurit is curiosity itself. Always wondering about the what, how and why of things. Both trivial and more meaningful things are the subject of his thought and interest. This results in two phenomena own to Shurit. First: his mind is prone wandering off. Sometimes Shurit is so lost in thought that he has to be woken up mid conversation. Being physically present while being mentally absent is typically shurit. A second is that Shurit’s interest for something, an object, story or even a living animal, can throw Shurit completely off his given task. Making Shurit a troublesome partner to go on a mission with for those that can not keep him on the right track. This coin of his mind is two sided however. If something truly interests Shurit, his resolve knows no bounds and his eagerness to find answers to the questions he asks himself often give him a surprising amount of insight into the strangest of things.
Mind over matter is one of the key philosophies of Shurit, but not the only rule he tries to live by. Shurit values history, ancestral ties, traditions and law. Shurit is the sole worth shipper of Sophia, a goddess of rebirth, or a being close to a natural disaster. The tales mentioning the powerful entity often refer to it as a reset button in times of chaos. Eradicating everything to make place for a new start. Shurit believes that the old myths and lore of ancient beings like Sophia are based on truth, and wants to uncover them. Shurit is not trying to convert others into believing in the being called Sophia. He himself is not even sure the being still exists. Though he is certain Sophia, and other ancient and magical entities have been a deciding factor at certain points in history. One last key value that Shurit holds dear is life. Human life itself is not to be touched according to Shurit. Because of this, Shurit has sworn to himself, and his Goddess that he will not kill. Shurit does not like violence. Though he loves mock battles and spars, when things get serious and people get hurt, Shurit is out of his comfort zone. His fighting style can mostly be summarized with quotes from an ancient war book, that Shurit is an avid reader of. ‘’To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.’’ This is one of his favourite lines from the book. When facing a weak opponent, Shurit will try to make the enemy surrender before the fight fully starts. When facing an opponent that is stronger than Shurit himself, Shurit will not try to fight and win. But will try to win information without losing, or will avoid a clash all together.

In bigger scale combat, Shurit Highly values ranks, and strategy. He has no trouble giving up command when the ones in charge are capable, and have a sound strategy. When the person in charge does not, however, Shurit will be sure to try and convince the other his idea is better, more safe, or simply less stupid. To Shurit, the goal of combat should be to prevent conflict. To minimize injury and death. Conquest and money ares just a petty excuse in Shurit his eyes. Justice and safety of your own and those you love, those are the only things worth fighting for.

    Likes:

History, the tales of old always make one wonder. This happens to be Shurits biggest interest. Entangled with this, is his love for myths. Shurit loves to investigate myths, and uncover the truth behind them.

Another big like is ice. Both as ice-cream in summer, and as frozen lakes and snow in the winter. The Ice  barriers and glaciers of the north are a place where Shurit feels at home.

Finally, Shurit really loves reading. Knowledge is power, wisdom is happiness, and truth is freedom. Reading is one way to pursuit these things, and a hobby Shurit adores.

    Dislikes:

The biggest dislike of Shurit is Violence. It is against his beliefs, it is against his ideals. There is always a party unhappy with violence, and thus, it needs to be avoided.

A close second is when people treat Shurit like a kid because of his height. It makes him feel like not taken serious, which he hates. He is a young adult, and would like to be treated as such.

Lastly, is when people do things for the financial gains. It’s not something that Shurit truly hates, but more of something that irritates him in people.

    Motivations:
As stated before Knowledge is power, wisdom is happiness, and truth is freedom. These things are the biggest motivator in Shurit his life.

Sophia, the goddess is a big drive for Shurit. To uncover the truth about this forgotten goddess is a long time goal.

A last motivation is peace. Shurit his dislike for war and violence is why he joined Pharoah's Call. A guild fixed on not killing, and serving peace.

    Fears:

Fire. Fire consumes all. While candlelight, or a campfire is nothing to fear, the fear of fire is always in the back of Shurit his head. A town engulfed in flames is a recurring nightmare of Shurit.

Deserts. Desolated lands of sand, with no sign of water or civilization. Shurit is afraid to be stuck in one such place.

Owls. Owls are creepy with how they turn their heads, and big, piercing eyes.

    General Appearance

    Height: 165 CM
    Weight: 60 KG
Hair: Red, with a grey layer on his forehead.
Eyes: His left eye is deep blue, while his right eye is brown.
    Skin Tone: Light
Appearance: Shurit is small and scrawny. His height often makes people think he would be a lot younger than he really is. He wears a Red coat with gold coloured details on the shoulders and along the seams. Under that, he wears a white/blue jacket. He wears a blue scarf around his waist, with tied in it, his mirror sword. Shurits likes shorts, because they are comfy, and easy to wear. A downside of that is that people estimate him even younger.

    Guild/Council

    Guild: Pharoah's Call
    Tattoo: Blue, on the chest
    Rank: d
