Identity Approval [Job/Juliana] Empty Re: Identity Approval [Job/Juliana]

Despite the fact that the sun was hovering high in the sky, beating down its golden rays with all the force of a celestial body, Juliana was shivering. Crouching deep in the back of her mind, Lissy was murmuring in a soothing, soft tone, “Jules. Try to relax, it will pass soon. We don’t want to attract attention from any passerby. That would make the situation much worse, right?” the magical voice reasoned. Even as she shook uncontrollably, her teeth clashing against each other as they chattered uncontrollably, Julia was fighting for control over her own muscles. This horrifying, icy feeling that always sunk deep into her bones was truly turning the girl into a mess.

She briefly allowed her eyelids to flutter shut, hoping for additional stability by using darkness to cut off one of her possibly distracting senses. Unfortunately, the plunge into nothingness was too much for the girl to bear, as it reminded her of the nightmarish demons which stalked her own mind from within their cage. As her lashes flew upwards, revealing tired and slightly reddened muddy brown orbs, Julia apologized frantically to Lissy, begging for forgiveness. Of course, the spirit was more than willing to reassure the child that she would of course stick with her no matter what, but it was altogether too easy for Julia to fall into fits of quakes at the moment. It would be necessary to complete this mission as soon as possible, so as to return her home.

Lissy directed the slender girl to order herself in line behind a group of rowdy children, many of which were scampering around in the dirt, rolling in the dust and caking their skin with the dry mud. Without a hit of reluctance, Julia did so, her lips pressed together in an effort to keep herself from trembling. Chills were no longer running through her body, thankfully, but they would be back soon enough. She wrapped her coat more tightly around her body and was tempted to enclose herself even more within the jacket by slipping the hood over the crown of her head, but that would attract extra attention. It had been explained to her multiple times by Lissy that attention = a greater chance to be in danger.

Soon enough, they reached the front of the line, although Julia was still primarily focused on regaining complete control over her own muscles, which were enjoying spasming for random intervals, with a few seconds between each period of jerking around in a hopefully barely perceptible manner. Lissy was encouraging her the entire time, echoing the girl’s own thoughts. “Just focus on this, Jules, you can do it,” the spirit whispered through the entire conversation with the man behind the desk, who was sitting underneath a shaded tarp in the small, temporary shack which had undoubtedly been set up simply for this busy occasion.

After what seemed to be an interminably long conversation consisting of Julia explaining that she was in a legal mages’ guild and flashing her right wrist, which was thoroughly speckled with goosebumps by now, the two made it out alive and for the most part, well. Breathing in a shaky sigh of relief, the girl raised her eyes to the sky, more than ready to go back home, where she could bury her body under the warm blankets after lighting a fire in the middle of the summer.
