Bounty Hunters! [job~Ivy & Star]

Job:

The naive child looked around as she took the steps down the streets of her house, in Rose Garden. She told her older sister that she was going on a job, and showed her the letter. Seeing that the letter literally had no information as to who she was trying to capture, and even should she find this person had the hint of murder, the scepticle older sister told Ivy that she was not to go under any circumstances. She hated that Ivy was in a dark guild, hated that she hurt and killed people, and hated when she took jobs alone without anyone to protect her. Plus, this job could easily have been made by some creepy old man... and that was a thought she didn't want to put up right now.

Ivy however didn't listen to her sister, taking her sword and putting on her bracelets, then climbing out her room window and landing in the gravel that sat outside her rundown house. Didn't hurt that much, but her bare feet began to slightly bleed. "The person I'll be killing is a mass killer, I think I'll find him Nunzia. Plus, there will be someone else..." she said to herself like she was actually arguing with the other person, and before she realized she was lingering around the house too much she sprinted down to the meeting point.

The meeting point wasn't an area where you'd expect a child Ivy's age to be. It was the area where most of the brutal killings were being done, the scent of blood and urine flew through the air, crime and other bad things were everywhere in this shady place. In one corner of your eye you'd see gambling, the other someone being mugged. No one paid any mind to Ivy, and that was good for both their sake. They must obviously value their lives, and Ivy didn't want to get the Guard on her right now. Right now, she was a bounty hunter. Right now.... she sat on a bench swinging her legs until somebody actually decided to pay her mind, and she assumed that'd be her job partner. She held the paper in hand for another form of recognition.

Rose Garden seemed a nice enough place, and in a different time Morning Star would have enjoyed the idea of walking through the town. Sadly this was a different time and place and Morning Star was a different man compared to the one he was some twenty years ago. Now he was a cold blooded killer, one who used people to get stronger then took them out.

Casually Morning Star strode through the Rose Garden's seediest area with his hands behind his back clasping each of his forearms. The Elder Wizards gaze never broke from the girl sitting on a bench in the distance swinging her legs and holding a flyer. Morning Star stopped mid stride and patted the blade on his hip while his brown eye narrowed at a man holding a knife coming out of the alley to his left. "Young Man, if you make me as an easy target you might find your in over your head. Instead you might find it smarter to simply go and find an easier target." Morning Star said in a light hearted tone. The Wizard's eye lit up and the thug nodded his head up and down and sank back into the shadows.

Morning Star strolled up behind the young woman and gently placed a hand on the bench next to her right shoulder. "You must be Ivy. It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Morning Star. Shall we find us a killer? Maybe we should tell each other about our magic before we start. Either way it's going to be interesting to work with you."

The name Morning Star instantly stuck out to her.

"Morning Star? Like the devil or the weapon?" Nunzia's very broad collection of books that she read to Ivy was very unsettling, and the sheer amount of knowledge Ivy picked up from those books was even more. The pink haired child hopped off the bench to turn around and face the man face-to-face. Sizing him up a bit, and taking in his magical aura.

"Anyways, Mr. Weak Pup, I'm Ivy Kissos and I'm a pure holy girl - a Devil Slayer! I control the wind. Also, I have -" Ivy paused for a bit, before thinking it not wise to tell about her secondary magic to this person, especially considering it was a bit embarrassing, her power drawing from her own fear. Albeit she also draws from the fear of others, it was her own that birthed the magic. "... I have a fairy, but she's at home. Also, there is Aether!"

Ivy drew the straight shortsword from her side, and flicked her wrist. The blade changed into a very long whip, every few inches containing a blade. With another flick of the wrist, the blade changed back into its sword form, and then went back to Ivy's side. "So that's me, Mr. Pup, what about you?" Ivy stared the man in the face with an unblinking stare with a smile, however the winds around the area stirred slightly, not enough to be known. Most would consider it a simple breeze, however this was also an ability of hers. She already started looking for the killer, even while they were talking. Colorless sight this was, and she could also "see" a group of people walking towards their location. Unbeknown to Ivy, the man Star scared off grabbed a couple of his friends, and were on their way here. Not necessarily close, however.

As Ivy spoke and twisted to face Morning Star his kind smile remained on his face and his one non covered eyes closed as if he were offering her the kindest smile he could. The killer in him though already saw how she could help him become stronger, her natural magical aura was overwhelming his and it was apparent based on the fact that she called him weak. A surge of anger whipped up in his body but the killer managed to keep that hidden for now. "Very astute of you young lady. Indeed it is like the Lord of Darkness himself. In truth my name is Marcus but those who have come to fall at my feet called me the devil so the name just stuck." Morning Star explained.

He allowed for the young child to explain how her magic worked and that she had a fairy. Morning Star doubted that greatly but if she didn't want to tell him something she was being smart. Knowledge was power and those who wanted to have an edge should a fight happened needed an ace up the sleeve. "My magic? It's interesting really.... I harness the power of the Seven Deadly Sins and project them to various effects. If this killer falls at our feet I would like for you to allow me to eat him. I'll leave the head as a show that we have defeated this foe." As Morning Star finished explaining the situation he pointed to his covered eye and added. "Also, I never miss."

Ivy listened to the person's description of his abilities. Seemed like a fun partner to have... should he not been a weaker mage then Ivy. She had a natural hatred for people weaker than her, and a natural feeling of looking-up to those stronger than her. Ironic, but true.

Turning her head, she said aloud. "Wow I thought they'd never get here!" She cracked her knuckles to see 7 people. One person immediately bursted out into a sprint, with a knife in his hand. Ivy made no attempt to avoid the man's attack, as he slashed her in the arm. This had a different effect on the mage then she thought, instead she felt the feeling she's felt before - poison. She clutched the wound, silent saying "dang" as she was too cocky to realize the poison that was on the man's knife.

After attempting to attack Marcus, the other man fled almost instantaneously. Ivy didn't care however, as another person dropped a hornet's nest. The hornets all started flying at Ivy, who smiled and put her poisoned hand forward. A dome of wind surrounded the insects, and the couldn't escape. Ivy turned towards the Marcus person. "I can't hold them for long, and there's too many for me to hit with on attack. If you have anything, use it now!" Putting her hand down, she turned towards the last 5 thugs. They didn't seem to want to pull tricks like the other 2 did, so she walked up to them head on. Two of them, wielding brass knuckles and a wooden katana, went for Marcus instead of Ivy. The other three started to laugh their asses off, until Ivy started glowing a black and red glow. She walked up to two of them, wielding some sort of rubber chicken and a metal pipe, and touched them on their exposed arms. Dragging them into a zone of pure fear, the one with the shotgun didn't know what she was doing because only Ivy and the two men could see the world the way they did. So, he sat their waiting for the two to kick the child's ass. Ivy took one last glance at Marcus, hoping that he could handle the two people by himself.

Foes drew near and attacked, one slashing at Ivy with a masters speed. He bolted to run but found a dagger in his back, dropping him to the ground as Morning Star drew his short blade from the scabbard on his back and hurled it into the spine of his target. The man fell in pain while screaming and trying to reach to grasp the wedged weapon. In that time another dropped a beehive at Ivy's feet but the Wizard used a gust of wind to trap them and asked Morning Star to do something about it. The man raised a brow and looked at the bench she was sitting on. With almost no effort at all he picked the bench up and slammed it down atop the trapped bugs, killing them with a heavy crush. "Done. Now for the others..." He stalked over to his fallen foe and opened his mouth, about to eat when he noticed the others coming at him.

Morning Star lifted his foot and slammed the boot down on the handle of his dagger in the mans back, driving it through his chest. His voice took on a dark and warning tone as he spoke. "Don't go anywhere now. There is fun to be had after all." Morning Star drew his long blade while stalking to meet the two attacking him. One set of brass knuckles slammed into his jaw while a wooden stick cracked into his gut, but his Slothfulness kept the pain at bay. "Wrathful Strike." He whispered and his hands, legs and blade started to crackle with a dark purple light. He swung his blade up and into the man with the knuckles, severing hand from arm, then again with the other in the blink of an eye. His naturally enhanced strength plus the strength of the weapon making it more than easy enough to remove the hand from bone.

Welp, this wasn't a fair fight to begin with, but Ivy went with it anyways. The two sat there freaking out over their surroundings, so Ivy decided not to pay much attention to them right now. She instantly dashed at the man with the shotgun, drawing Aether and cutting his right hand's fingers off. This was easy, as he was laughing his ass off and had the shotgun not aimed at the child, and in his left hand. With the threat of fingers out of the way, he was a sitting duck.

"Mistress Mary, quite contrary~" Ivy said while a ball of wind surrounded her hand, and she punched the man square in the chest. He flew backwards, and tried to hold up his gun as best as he could with one arm, and inbetween screams shot at Ivy, first entirely missing. Ivy then put Aether into the ground, and soon the whipsword came up through the ground and impaled the man through the chest.

"How does your garden grow~" Ivy retracted the blade with a "shirk" sound, and then wind began circling her fingers, creating a white claw-like thing of wind. The man shot once more, and hit Ivy in the chest. The gun was magical, so the bullets were not that powerful, not nearly enough to kill her. Instead it led her to bleed from her chest cavity, but the internal damage wasn't major, so it could be described as a "flesh wound." The man tried his best to reload his double barrel gun, while Ivy slashed the man in the face with her wind claw.

"With silver bells and cockel shells~" Ivy wrapped the whipsword around the man's throat, and held it so tight to the point where each small blade caused blood to slowly drip from his neck.

The man's final scream as the blade was dragged across his throat would be followed up by one line. "And pretty maids all in a row~"

The man with brass knuckles started to scream, trying to try hold back the pain he fell to his knees only to find Morning Star driving the tip of his blade through the man's eye and brain, killing the man in an instance. His jaw unhinged and drew the body of the thug in, healing the wounds he had picked up during the fight thus far. The man with the Katana watched in horror while the pair of dark Wizards easily made swift work of his friends. The thugs had lost limbs and lives one was even eaten. With a simple grin Morning Star slashed his blade through the air and pointed it in a fencing stance. "Come now, if you draw a weapon you must be ready to use said weapon. I'll even promise to not et your corpse if you give me a good show." Morning Star offered to his foe.

The Man steeled himself and decided if he were to die he would do so with honor and in a fight. He rushed Morning Star who was simply watching his long blade. Eventually the man rushed past Morning Star's weapon, a show that it was time to strike. The man's wooden weapon came up to slam at Morning Star's head but he had to stop when he heard the snapping of bone and flesh. His eyes shook with pain and fear, Morning Star had ripped the man's heart out in one strike of his left hand and held it up to the thug. "You humans need this to live correct?" He asked curiously and took a bite of the blood covered organ while the man fell backwards. Casually Morning Star walked over to the man with a short blade coming through his chest and drew the weapon out. Once both blades were clean he placed them in their proper scabbards and watched the little one go to work. "Fantastic job! I'm very proud of you dear!" he mocked her.
