    Job:

All right! So the plan is to return back to the tower where we met the sunny dumbasses. There is apparently some Lacrima in there that should not be there. Once we destroy them, we will be able to fight whoever caused it. Ignite would explain, her fist slamming down onto Elyx's office desk right in front of him, the paper around the fist gently gliding away as they tapped the ground. The ones under her fist, including the job paper itself, would be heavily wrinkled due to the amounts of force placed in her excited punch. The young mage in turn would tilt his head to the side. That is not a plan you idiot. You are simply restating the job. Now an actual plan would be to use attacks that attack multiple targets at once. Admittedly, it will be costly since it could damage the tower, but those Lacrimas will cause a lot more harm. It seems like the job demands sacrifice. Elyx would explain, placing his palm over Ignites fist before lifting it up and off of the job request presented to them. His light brown eyes would continue to scan the paper, blah blah blah large seal, blah blah blah harmless lacrima. What did interest him though was how the source of the Lacrima acted before the Lacrimas could be damaged, since there are 33 and still are at this moment. Whoever or whatever was behind this clearly did not welcome attackers. There were two possibilities for this. One could be the big sudden reveal of the source, as it pounced onto them and strike down the mages with one swoop. The second and more likely explanation would be traps, lurking everywhere, possibly in the Lacrimas themselves. The job claimed that there was no harm in the Lacrimas. And that claim was probably wrong.

All right, lets depart. We're off to the Mystic Tower. Elyx would explain before standing up, palms against his desk before he'd head towards the door of his office. Soon, he'd walk towards the end of the Guild Hall with a smile on his face, thinking of the possibilities that this job might provide. It sounded fun, dangerous surely, but compared to what at this point anymore? Ignite would follow up right behind him with her palms placed against the back of her head, her red hair acting as a barrier. For once, her nose was not stuffed into a book about rifles. Good, even someone like her deserved to have a rest every once in a while. Soon, they'd depart from the guild before making their way to the tower at a walking pace. No need to rush anything by using Yuni, it had been a while since they went out together for a job. It was just their busy lives, so much to do nowadays. And with the recent attack that he had to endure, jobs such as these teach him to endure and prosper even while the odds are against him. Little did he know that biting off more than you can chew was something quite different than challenging yourself.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
One foot in front of the other, aligned together perfectly. If even a single one of them was off, the balance would be off, and the entire body would be thrown in one direction. Once the foot planted itself in front, the arm came from one side of the body and crossed over to the other. Pivoting the wrist the other way, the arm went back the other way. The leg that stepped forward the first time suddenly came back, and placed itself against the other one planted firmly. Motioning the body one way, the single foot planted was the pivotal point of the rest of the body. Once more the other limb stepped forward, and another time the hand and wrist worked towards creating a singular movement. All while the body moved and balanced itself, the voice spoke: "I... the Black Devil of Destruction, am the pure and utter end. I destroy the opposes. I kill the strong. I murder the weak. I shall rise and drown you all in the Darkness of Oblivion..." After the nonsensical speech ended, both arms began to move alongside each other with every motion created, and a new speech was done. "I... the White Angel of Supremacy, am the beginning of the end. I silence the heretics. I laugh at the strong. I purify the weak. I shall awaken and bathe you all in the Light of Holy Destruction..." From the blade itself rather than the body moving it, another voice came:

"Those are dangerous chants to be reciting, Deniel."

Up in a tree, on a branch that miraculously shaped itself to be perfectly horizontal when the growth of the giant plant life grew it, stood the tall figure of Deniel Decayuss Thormun. With one leg in front of the other, he retained his balance on the tree's branch, and anything could throw him off if he didn't retain his concentration. Though at the same time distracting him, within his right hand he held on to his unsheathed black katana, Nidhogg. In spite of the small interruption, he retained his balanced position on the narrow log. "Relax...I'm not going to turn. If I do, I'll fly away." Once again Deniel circled around, but this time, he kept himself on only one foot, and swung his blade several times. "That's not what I'm worried about. You know what it does to your body over the next few days." Before Deniel himself could respond, a slight beeping sound was heard inside of his pocket. Recognizing what it was, he instantly sheathed his blade inside of its scabbard, which dangled at his side from being supported, and jumped right down from the tree branch.

Landing with a thud, he lifted himself up, and reached inside his right pocket. From out of it he pulled a Communications Lacrima, and pressed his thumb against it. As it powered on, a 2-way communication image was sent between him, and a representative of the Magic Council. "Greetings, Mr. Thormun. We have a situation, at the Mystic Tower." Walking over to the tree's trunk, he leaned his back against it, and drew in a deep inhale and exhale. "Alright. What is it?"

The Mystic Tower was the location where they had beaten the Sun Mages. But this was a different job, and the sheet of paper clearly stated that the ones who dare take it be aware that this was a one-hundred year job. With that being stated, those who take it must prepare to take away their current comfy lives to live out in some unknown area for days, weeks, possibly even months, just for the ability to finish the job. Elyx had done it in a few days, whoops. But regardless, it was not such a good idea to get cocky, though he had Ignite by his side, it was always the prideful who fall the hardest. Plus, who would dare help him back onto his feet if he was known for arrogance? Avoiding such a nasty trait, he'd think of the possible dangers of the job. For example, Lacrima often can be formed by whatever the user desires. And in this case, the source of the Lacrima has some cruel intentions if recent mages who took the job were unable to live by the end of it.

His body would shiver at the thought of getting caught off guard, forcing him to cringe in both first and second hand embarrassment as well as much pain that he will probably feel even more than the humiliation. Ignite on the other hand did not seem so worried. With her right fist balled into her left palm, she'd give her hand a nice tight crunch to let out an echoing series of bones being cracked. Though they were currently walking through a forest that lead them to the tower, Elyx still cringed at the cracking. Mainly because of all of the attention that it might cause to those who might want to have them dead. He did not need their blood on his clothes right before a job would begin. And of course, the She Phoenix would amplify the risk by being herself. We are going to wreck some fools! I call the one who is the source of all of this! She would announce before placing her victorious - surprisingly not cracked in half - right fist into the air.

Such an act earned her a palm to the mouth by the Wind Slayer, sealing her voice as the echoes traveled far into the air. Hopefully no one would catch onto the sound and follow them. If they did, well, it was too late to change things now. On the plus side, they were nearing the Mystic tower not too far from where they currently were located. Though they could be a bit more subtle, their destination was almost reached regardless. Perhaps Nimpha was following them, because that was a rather lucky break. Their steps muffled by the soft grass as they stepped, at least the sound of their steps will not alert enemies that they have moved. Such a shame that they had to think of this, provided things stayed quiet, they might have had peace of mind.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
"....And that's all we know about it. Believe you can handle it, Mr. Thormun?" With a shrug of his shoulders and a turn of his body to the direction of the Mystic tower, having practically memorized Fiore's layout, he spoke. "Naturally. Of course if I can't handle it, I doubt there's many others who could." With that, he clicked off the communicator and shoved it deep into his pocket again. Keeping both of his hands inside of his pockets, he turned his whole body to the direction his head was facing, a blank expression on his face. Yeah... not many others could. He had a title to hold up now. One that was far more drastic than before. He wasn't really proud on how easily it was handed to him, but he would make his best attempt to sustain it nonetheless. "The First God of Ishval..." he said to himself quietly, and with very little pride in the title. He couldn't really figure out how he felt about that. Was there anything out there that could give him a true challenge? With a few steps forward, he briefly closed his eyes and whispered to himself: "Perhaps not..."

One thing Deniel knew himself for, and what very little others figured out, was his fast walking pace. It wasn't necessarily running, but it certainly didn't count as walking. In fact he couldn't really figure out what it was because he never paid attention. Though the most important part was that his walking pace could get him to a job location faster than he could realize. It didn't matter if he was on the other side of Fiore, or perhaps even in the middle of the Calm Sea... he would get to his destination very swiflty by "walking." Through his trip his hands weren't shoved inside of his pockets, but rather swaying at his sides. Occasionally his blade sheathed at his side would tap only lightly against the side of his leg. It was only a matter of time before he reached the Mystic Tower, and quite a short amount of time as well...he didn't even know how much elapsed in the time of his departure and the time of his arrival. Regardless, there didn't seem to be anyone else in sight. It made him a tad bit uncomfortable being there, just because it was so close to a location he was all too familiar with, and nearly blocked out of his memory...

Shaking his head swiftly, he eyed the Japanese styled tower up and down with his eyes. "Think there's anyone home...?" He asked his sword, waltzing up to its door. "Try knocking. Hahahahah!" Going along with the joke, Deniel gave a few quick knocks to the large double doors of the Mystic Tower, "Open up!" Several moments of silenced passed by, and he sat there staring down at the door. He gave a couple of seconds, awaiting an answer. Likewise, there wasn't an answer.... so Plan B was in order.

And so the duo would arrive with a not so dynamic entrance, just merely a couple of stragglers who just ended up being lucky enough to face ambush, despite their volume. The tower scaled quite well... Much bigger than the Sunny Tower, though Elyx could have sworn this was the exact location where the Sun mages were located. Then again, due to the previous three job results involving them, they might have been held for questioning, and if that were the case... They would definitely be locked up. Or more likely, they evacuated and moved elsewhere. That however would not explain why the Tower maintained an upgrade. What would however was the new power that was creating chaos in the building. It was a small theory, but their only lead. And learning from the previous fight that we had to endure... There are guards that want to put an end to us... He thought to himself oh so brightly. With a smirk now placed onto his face, his magic power would begin to flow, the darkness amplifying his body and speeding up the beating of his heart to give him a rush of energy. And so the both of them would begin to approach the tower.

Naturally, nothing ever went according to plan. In this case, they would hear a voice at the entrance of the tower. The voice was clearly that of a male, demanding entrance. A few pounds would follow after that, but no reply. Looking to investigate the scene, they'd lightly step as much as they could. As they neared the doors, they'd realized that being subtle was a smart move, the mage sense of the being trying to enter was on another level compared to the both of them. The She-Phoenix tilted her head to the side, her facial expression curious for reasons Elyx dare not bother trying to guess, just as long as she did nothing stupid. But of course, she had some sort of comment to say. Turning her head to the Wind Slayer, she'd keep her voice down. I know this guy, read about him. Recent god of Ishval number one. He's known everywhere and the papers won't talk about him for the last few weeks. The She-Phoenix explained. However, Elyx was not so quick to believe since he did not update himself on this sort of thing. How would you know? This may just be some regular man.

Shaking her head to the side with disapproval, she'd place all of her weight in her steps again. Media does not lie about this sort of thing. There is no mistake that it is him, who else would have the strength to scale the tower and clear the threat? And just like that, the Wind Slayer took a little offense, since he thought that he himself could have done it. But regardless, he would trust Ignite on this one and follow right behind her. Hey there, trying to find a way in? Ignite would ask the man from behind him, if he did not notice their presence already that is.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
He backed away from the door just a few paces and eyed it up and down. It was quite large, but certainly not to the magnitude of some ancient temples with a king wanting to flaunt his ego or wealth. As he tapped his chin and started to contemplate how he was going to get an open, an easy solution was in mind, he overheard a conversation in the background. Low voices, a male and a female. Didn't sound threatening based on what they were saying; if anything they seemed to be shocked that he was there. At least one of them was. The other was skeptical. Swiftly he shook his head clear away of the eavesdropping... well, eavesdropping of their eavesdropping anyways. Letting out a quick sigh, he went back to his earlier business. They didn't seem to be any threat...no sneak attacks came at him now. So there wasn't much to worry about. Even with a "sneak" attack, he would be able to react and retaliate accordingly. In other words....there was almost absolutely nothing that worried him out there. Although he was thinking as to why they recognized him...he always took precautions to make sure his name was known, but his face was masked. Even when he was the Third God of Ishval. A damn shame he couldn't be like that now; now he had to deal with the actual responsibilities of a title like that with people following him everywhere and asking him questions. A nightmare all on its own.

Getting back to the task at hand, he descended down from the steps further from the entrance, and turned right back around to face it. It was at that moment the female of the duo had come out from their hiding, interrogating him about finding a way in. And there was only one simple answer from him: "Not trying. I know a way in." Elaborating on what he meant, his right hand immediately reached for the left side of his body. Taking a firm grip on the black sheathed blade at his side, he drew it from its scabbard, and with the same force and momentum, cut from beneath to above, and then above to below. Two swift strikes in a vertical fashion, each of them a couple of meters away from the actual door. A few moments of silence passed by, and he spun the blade around on its backside. He placed the tip of it inside of the scabbard, and slowly started to sheathe the blade back. As he did so, with every inch of the blade going in, the doors had begun to displace themselves, and then eventually collapse backwards, sliced in half and split wide open for an entrance well beyond the necessary size. "Hm. Might have gone a bit overboard." Shaking his head in a tad bit of disappointment to himself, his blade clicked right back into its scabbard completely sheathed.

"So...what brings you out there? It's a dangerous place here, you know."

Witnessing a few swift slices, since their awareness allowed them to see that quickly, it seemed like the attempts were futile due to the doors standing up without budging. But as seconds passed by, the latches could be heard disarming as the set of doors fell onto their sides, granting entrance to all those who find it. Whoever or whatever was behind the door and in the tower most likely was aware of their presence now, but to try attacking in broad daylight was just asking to make their job easier. Ignite's purple eyes locked onto the set of double doors that were onto the ground, her pupil's shrinking down heavily at the sight. The She-Phoenix was prepared to ball up a huge swarm of fire in her palms, but that never had such accuracy and would have made a mess of the doors. While the question that the man still lingered in the air, the young mage would take the question. His right hand slipped into his pocket before revealing a slightly less wrinkled version of the job folded twice, creating four rectangles once it was unfolded. This job is dangerous, and that is why we are here. To prevent the death of any more mages on this mission. Elyx would explain. His available left hand would scratch the back of his head. As for any reason why I think we would be successful when many mages of my level had failed... I'll be honest, I didn't think of one. I'm relying mainly on intellect on this... And a bit of luck.

And just like that, Ignite took the wheel, shifting her eyes back onto the Wizard Saint. As for you, who needs luck when you practically shove any being out of the way? I don't think I have met a mage of such power! Well, maybe Ignite had not, but there was one that the Wind Slayer could think of. The Celestial Spirit identified himself as Zack Rose, the one responsible for destroying his first house, paying the funds to rebuild a new one, and in the end befriended him. If these two stood side by side, he would wonder who would win in a one on one battle. But such a think might possibly only be a dream match. This was reality. And reality suggested that they analyzed the inside of the tower. Do you know anything outside of what this piece of paper offered? Elyx would ask, placing the slip of paper out towards the man, not knowing if he had his own copy or not. It would explain why he was here, but the Wizard Saint might have just heard about it without knowing that it was a job. Oh the possibilities.

Also, what else can you do? The She-Phoenix would ask, tilting her head to the side. It would make Elyx chuckle a bit, this was her first time meeting someone that was most likely a celebrity. It was like that other job that he had when they met Enola, who gave him the same amount of attention that Ignite gave this man.

And now his attention turned to the other one in the duo. This one was a male with dark brown hair, and Deniel could sense more power coming from him than the other one that seemed much more impressed with his works than he certainly was. It made sense... someone with his level of power would have probably seen things and done things that would make him much more fearless than other mages. Or perhaps the opposite. He also mentioned a job, which meant the task that the Magic Council had directly informed him of was something that other mages had attempted, and according to the one standing before him, mages had already died just attempting this job. His gaze temporarily shifted back to the tower; it seemed quite harmless from the outside, and he couldn't imagine the danger lurking in there if so many mages had perished from it. "Hmmm...." He stared back down at the job sheet he was presented with, most of the text barely legible due to how crinkled up and old it seemed to be. This had to have been a Ten Year job at least.... or perhaps a One Hundred Year. The possibility of the latter seem probable, but... perhaps not.

The text seemed to explain everything that was worth explaining. He couldn't think of anything that the Council had told him that the paper did not. "Nope.... not really. My client gave me as much information as that sheet has." With that being said, he turned himself away from Elyx and started walking up the steps once more. It seemed like he almost ignored the female's question before briefly answering: "A lot of things." He paused for a moment on the staircase, briefly looking up at the tower. It wouldn't be his first time venturing off into something that would be considered impossible, and it wouldn't be his last either. His confidence in his abilities made him in some way arrogant, but at the same time he always proved to be successful in the end so he could live to tell his tales. And now these two were here... did he really need help? He never considered it since he was always a solo worker. And the last thing he wanted to do was accidentally kill the both of them because he overdid things like he always did. When he was in the heat of battle, the one thing on his mind is victory and never really the safety of others.

Reaching down to his waist, he drew his black blade from its scabbard once more, and pointed it at the two standing below him on the staircase. "Not gonna' lie... people who work with me are sometimes in more danger than they are alone. So I'll just let you know right now... keep going with me and I cannot guarantee your safety from both myself and whatever lurks in there. Though if you still insist on coming... then don't die I guess.

Receiving the answer that he did, he'd return the sheet of paper back into his right pocket, his facial expression neutral. Whoever this guy was, he clearly did not play around. Good, because on One-Hundred Year jobs, that was the easiest way to have your blood painted on the walls, underestimating the power of the monsters and opponents you must face off against. If the Magic Council said it was that powerful, don't act all high and might above it. Client, hm? Elyx would question. The client who wrote the job application down went to a mage, according to Ignite, a very popular and strong one. It would make sense to call upon that mage this were an urgent job. Plus, considering whoever the client was probably heard of the wizards getting taken down by the source of all the chaos, it was likely that he or she became desperate and searched up the ladder. Still, there was nothing to be done with all of the fliers out, hence why Elyx and Ignite were here. As for any data, I have nothing confirmed. But using reasoning and previous experience, there are most likely traps in here... Sadly, I am unable to locate any of them with my current sensing. A bit of shame in his tone. To think that he had Bounty Hunting down pat, but even he still had a bit more to work on. For shame.

A sudden blade would be pointed towards them, not really targeting either of them. The words emitted from the mans lips were cold, but he was trying to be as honest as he can. Elyx would return a similar response, lifting his right palm as it faced the ceiling. A spinning sphere of wind would form above it, the air around it vibrating with much intensity to be felt. Concern yourself with your own health, we will concern ourselves with ours. You have a client to return to and we have a job to clear for that client. With three, we'll cover more ground since the Lacrima are scattered. He'd explain before letting the sphere die down within a second, then his palm would return back down to his side. Ignite closed her eyes and tilted her head to the side, her lips in a smile. Only the She-Phoenix would smile during a time like this. The first action was to do recon, preferably on a lacrima. If they familiarize themselves with one of them, maybe they would give clues as to their behaviors and maybe where even the rest of them would be located. It was an okay plan, though there were plenty of holes, and there was no clear end goal either. It seemed more like a shot in the dark. We'll have to locate one of the Lacrima first, care to lead the way? The Wind Slayer would ask, placing his hands in his pocket. Maybe this guy could sniff them out better than he can if Ignite gave him so much credit.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Wind. So that was his Magic. He didn't even have to use a single drop of his Magic Power, and instantly he was able to tell the nature of his Magic, its possible strengths and weaknesses, uses, and origins. It came to him so suddenly that he had to shake his own thoughts loose, almost not realizing just how much he learned about Magic. From Dad's notes, perhaps...? It was certainly the highest possibility. "Alright, then." He finally stated and spun his blade back around. Just like he had done earlier, he pushed it slowly into its scabbard, and clicked it in with one last push. Then his gaze shifted itself back towards the tower. It was only a few stories tall, not that big at all. Six at the most. He tilted his head a bit, and loosened up his fingers within his right hand. Something inside of there was powerful enough to be worthy of a 100 Year job, and the death of so many mages. Obviously it wasn't enormous, or at least not as big as some of the other over-sized creatures Deniel had fought before. At the same time, even if it was big, there was no way it could miraculously fit on all of the floors at once. Which meant that he--and the others that decided to join him--were dealing with something that was small enough to fit in each floors of the tower.

Once again his thoughts were starting to go out of control, and he shook them loose. He needed to focus more on the task at hand than over analyzing every step of the way. One of his new partners inquired if he could lead the way, which meant either he had a lot of faith in him... or he was a coward. Hopefully it was the former. "Sure. Why not..." Using the entrance he created, he ascended the staircase and went into the Mystic Tower at last. The very first room was quite dark, with the only kind of light in it coming from the sunlight emitting from the blasted open door. The darkness meant either no one occupied it, or someone was ready for a sneak attack. When all three of them entered the tower, the entrance that had toppled over from Deniel's attack would suddenly pull itself right back up in place, sealing them inside of a room with very little light. "Duck!" His eyes were useless right now, so he closed the two of them and concentrated on any other senses that could help him, particularly sound and his sense of Magical Power and presence. Drawing his blade, Deniel managed to deflect a Lacrima that came flying straight at them from the east side of the room. He couldn't get a grasp on how large it was based on what he encountered, but he found that there was more than just one Lacrima in the darkened room. Another one came at the two of them, and that one met the same fate of being deflected, but he noticed that neither of them had been cut in half.

Seemed like these Lacrimas couldn't really be affected by physical attacks...

Once the group entered, the doors would repair themselves instantly as the third of the group, Ignite, took her last step off of the outside world and into the tower. Whatever was causing this knew of their presence, a preemptive strike was being declared by their opponent. The man would give his order to duck, a proper evasive action that both the Wind Slayer and the She Phoenix would gladly acknowledge. Bending their knees quickly, they would catch a bit of wind from one of the flying Lacrima. With a snarl on her face, Ignite would place both palms outwards, flames forming out in front of each of them. This brought light to the scene, so that the party could see a little bit better. The enemy already had their attention on them, though the light was very obvious to probably every being in the tower, those beings probably knew of their existence already, hence why the Lacrimas would attack them. Ready to take her anger out on the spheres, she'd snarl as her purple eyes glared at one of the targets. Placing both palms out towards it, and a beam of fire would fire at it. Though it did not move, upon impact, it did not seem to move either. Still, the fact that her fire had been taken without burning the target to ashes caused her to step back, very much unpleased with the result. Their magic resistance is high. It would fire towards her to return the favor, and at its speed, that was not going to have such a happy ending. Her purple eyes would raise, full well knowing that she was unable to even react, her awareness and speed were not too keen, she was more of a hard hitter. Towers and tanks don't focus on evasion much, thus, creating this unfortunate scenario.

Fortunately, Elyx had her covered as a sudden leap from him would cut in between the She Phoenix and the Lacrima. His palm with a spinning ball of wind, as he pressed that sphere against the lacrima to create severe amount of impact. However, with the strength of an Artifact against the strength of his signature spell, the Lacrima would be fired back in the opposite direction, crashing to the wall of the tower before shattering. It took a lot more magic than he thought was necessary, they they not even climb too high up the tower yet and already the Wind Slayer used his magic. It was a very good call to work alongside the man, who can cover them while they recover their energy. Though he probably would not do that on purpose, Elyx can find a way to make it happen. That was one Lacrima down... Who even knows how many more there are left? These Lacrima are a lot stronger than we think, they don't go down so quickly. Ignite normally can take things down on her own with one shot. Not only did she not do it, but the Lacrima was able to counter. He'd explain, not realizing the possible danger around him. There was more than just that one.

It was certainly annoying, and made them a pain to deal with. It gave them an obvious weakness after just one attack, Magical ones, but at the time Deniel didn't want to assume a Full Body Take Over. Far too early on the job to do that yet, and he didn't really want to give away all of his secrets to his two accomplices quite yet. Only one technique came to his mind that could defeat these things and still stay out of a Full Body Take Over. It seemed almost too perfect, actually. There was obviously more than one Lacrima, given that the time between the attacks were quite short and they all came from completely different directions. Unless he was mistaken and the flying Lacrimas could miraculously get into a completely different position and attack him once more all within less than a second. The metal on his sword clanged and clashed against the sturdy material of the Lacrima, with Deniel more on the defense than for the offense. "Nidhogg, Omnislash!" The spell known as "Omnislash" was one that his sword performed and not Deniel itself since the spell came from the blade. Commanding his sword did seem quite unusual, but unbeknownst to the other two with him, his sword was actually alive. Very much alive, actually.

In between one of the defensive parries, the blade ignited itself with a dark purple glowing aura of Magic Power. With the sudden shift in it, Deniel's strikes with his blades changed from defensive to offensive. In the darkness of the room, the only light that could be seen would be the dark light of his sword. The blade very easily cut through the next Lacrima that tried to strike Deniel, and even then that wasn't the end of it. Because it struck a target, the duration of the spell was reset. Another Lacrima came to him from a different side, and the blade swung itself horizontally to the direction of it. The Lacrima wasn't cut in half since this strike wasn't as strong, but it did become significantly damaged to the point where its pace slowed down and it began to show signs of diminishing. Lacrimas didn't really have brains or minds of their own, so they were unable to recognize that they were being defeated and that they should change tactics. They just kept coming at him, each and every time he nearly split each of them in half with a swing of his sword. "This can't be what's killing so many mages..." He remarked with his blade going through another Lacrima. Around him with every cut the purple Magic Power--which was simply known to him as Chaos Energy--would remain in the air for only a moment or two before completely diminishing. It was almost too easy given that he just needed one spell to annihilate them. It was a very powerful spell, no doubt about that, but he wasn't even trying that much. He was quite literally just remaining in place through the whole thing.

Is that pathetic power the most that you could display? Elyx's voice would ask towards the man. However, those words did not arrive from his lips at all. Ignite seemed to think otherwise, he head turning over towards the real version of him, and for good reason as well. She would hiss at him next next retort from her. Idiot, what the hell are you talking about? Do I have to strangle you? She would ask, however, after giving him a good look into his eyes, she would realize that he was not all there. The Wind Slayer instead was focusing on where that voice came from. His ears remained sharp, as the first time he heard a perfectly matching voice of his echoing throughout the tower. What's the matter Lerale Magician? Did your own music make you deaf? And that caused Ignite to turn her head around. That voice did not belong to her either. A snarl was placed onto her face as her purple eyes glowed. They both had a decent amount of information to work with. This was either some sort of illusion, or there was something that had the ability to clone their voices. Both were very impressive, but hopefully it was the latter. The real Elyx would let out his own reply towards whoever or whatever was causing this. Come out of the shadows then, if you believe the power of this man is not worthy of your attention! The Wind Slayer would announce, subtly acknowledging that the man that was working alongside them had impressive power. To eliminate so many lacrima all at once, that was beyond amazing.

Without warning, a slice from above from a similarly looking blade to Bound Iris would strike down, forcing the real Wind Slayer to jump backwards, flipping back one time before sliding as his feet hit the ground. Snarling, his light brown eyes would look back upwards towards the enemy who struck down onto him. However, those same eyes would be staring right back at him. The physical appearance of this person, same looks exactly. The jacket, the jeans, the handkerchief, even Bound Iris, they were all the same. The spiky hair that most people were able to identify him by, it matched his own exactly the same. The only real difference for one to identify them by was the colors, but in the shadows where only the flames of Ignite can shine, it would be hard to tell the difference between them. No way... Care to dance with me, Lerale Magician? The resembling Elyx would ask.

Ignite in the meantime stepped back in much surprise, how would she be able to tell the difference between the real and fake Elyx? Sure, she knew which one was which as of currently, but once they lock into battle, their bodies will look like blurs and eventually, she would get lost and confused. Yeah, I see your problem there. Such a shame, eh? A similar sounding Ignite voice would ask from behind, and a sudden palm would be placed onto her shoulder. Shuttering and reacting on instinct alone, the real She Phoenix would attempt to elbow the one who had her voice, but that Elbow ended up meeting the palm of a cloning version of her. The only real difference was that the fake was smiling, in that creepy doll sort of way. Were you not concerned a few seconds for the Lerale Magician? And now you can't even tell which one is which now, you turned around, you lost track. A taunt from the doppelganger as the both of them would jump back, facing each other now as they both began to mentally prepare themselves for battle. Ignite and Elyx would be standing right next to each other, the both of them with their own paired versions of each other. The real ones could not tell each other apart, not with this dim lighting, and their best hope would be that they just got lucky and their partner ending up being with the right version of them.

And now, the battle would begin. The doppelganger Elyx slashing Ignite, the pairing was incorrect after all. This caused the She Phoenix to clench her teeth as she jumped back, both of her palms filled with orange flames. Witnessing that moment, the real version of him would be given time to block an incoming disguised regular punch by grabbing the fake Ignite's fist. In return, he'd breathe in quickly to compress air into his body. Sky Deity... And thus the words announced allowed him to cast a spell. Attempting to free herself from his hold onto her hand, she would aim to jump and kick him. But before her foot could reach his cheek, his breath would release as his voice boomed all throughout the tower. BELLOWS! A giant spinning cyclone of wind would emit from his mouth, sending her flying away in the violently spinning winds. The severity of the winds cut into her deeply since this was one of his most powerful spells, and it was normally used to wipe out mass armies. For it to be used onto one being alone, it was rather reckless, but that was how the Sky Deity went to war, it did not care to play safe and by the rules. It played to win, which was perfect for the rules of a fight. The goal was not to play fair, it was to put your life onto the line and the winner takes all.

Ignite and the fake Elyx would stare at each other, one with a smile and one with a furious look, her clenched teeth almost at their breaking point. How she would love to rip her knuckles into his skin, and now here was her chance. Provided that the real version of him was able to distract her counterpart, she could exploit his every weakness. If this were truly a version of him, he'd fear things such as water. Being made of fire however, that was going to be hard to locate. Was there possibly a way to create her own water? If there was, she had not found it yet. But she will now, her life depended on it.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Only three more times did Deniel's blade strike. And they were far more spread out than before. Just a few seconds ago, he would be swinging his blade around his body like there was no tomorrow, avoiding getting hit by anything if at all possible, and it quite was. Now that the number of Lacrimas had diminished, the frequency of their attacks had also gone down, confirming that there was a large number of them rather than a select few traveling at amazing speeds. One strike came and finished off another Lacrima, and about three seconds later--which was a long time considering how often he was getting hit before--he finished off another one with his slice. Then there was just one left, but Deniel was not the one to finish it off. He heard the familiar sound of Nidhogg's blade cutting through the Lacrima material, and the two pieces falling to the ground as a result, but his body did not move. He tucked the scabbard into a belt slot on the left side of his body, and gripped the katana with two hands on its hilt. On his guard, his gaze shifted from left to right, pivoting in his place to look at every possible surrounding. Ignoring the battle that had begun to rage around him was a mistake, as Deniel would have been able to tell what exactly it was he heard. Elyx was fighting another version of himself, and that's exactly what lurked within the shadows surrounding Deniel: a doppelganger. And it was quite literally in his shadows.

As he was unable to locate or track down where the cut had come from, his eyes shifted beneath him, and where his shadow was supposed to be, was something much brighter. It was still himself, but the colors were inverted... the black clothing he wore all throughout his body was a pale white color, along with his hair. The blade his shadow carried in its hands looked exactly like Vita and Mors, except there was one instead of two. And the red eyes that stared down found itself being stared back at by sky-blue orbs. Letting one hand go of his katana's grip, Deniel abruptly reached down beneath him, with his pale shadow mimicking his gesture, and ripped it straight from the ground. Rising up as if the surface beneath them was water--which it was not--the Doppelganger stood on two feet, and both Deniel and it let go of each other's hands, taking a few paces backwards. They stared into each other's eyes further, and circled around each other while retaining the same distance. Deniel's sword was still ignited with the same purple Chaos Energy, while his Doppelganger had the same kind of fire on his white blade, which had appeared only a second or two ago, except it was an orange color. Deniel was never a fan of bright colors, so he found the entire image of his Doppelganger to be quite...crude.

The white one stated: "Hey... doing fine?" The normal Deniel still kept his guard up in spite of the battle behind the two. "Fine enough, thanks." The white one came in for an attack, to which the normal Deniel parried and gave an attempt counter attack, only to have his blade be repelled away. The two of them backed away from each other once more, before Deniel came in for two swift strikes that ended up blocked. "Is that all...?" the white one asked. The two of them knew it wasn't, but all Deniel did was shake his head. The clashed with their blades a few more times, their fight much less climactic than Elyx and Ignite's raging on on the background. Deniel nor the Doppelganger paid any mind, as it was the nature to both of them to focus on themselves. "Come on...let's turn into monsters and fight...!" The white one demanded, with Deniel only responding with another strike of his blade, only this time it was a feint to go into another attack. The Doppelganger, knowing his own style, sensed it from a mile away and parried the same. "You first." Deniel was the one that spoke, but the Doppelganger made no motion to attack. "I won't. Because I know you'll pick the opposite. You choose first so that I may pick the same." Deniel tilted his head a bit to the side with narrowed eyes, and the Doppelganger did the same. "Why would you want to do that...?" Inquired Deniel. His Doppelganger only responded with his blade pointed right at the real Deniel.

"To see which one of us has truly mastered our powers and has become a True Nephalem!"

Dance with me Phoenix, match my movements, so we can dance until the end of time! The fake Elyx would exclaim, the winds around her intensifying for she then had an idea. There was a half chance that it might work, but to fuel off of his flames was her only hope. Since wind had oxygen, even magic wind, and fire was reliant on it, she could make his wind her flames. It was worth a shot, the real Ignite would jump back as the fake Wind Slayer breathed in to compress air into his lungs, and then he released a giant spiral of violently spinning winds at her. Now was her chance. Placing her palms up, she would try to convert the wind into a fire cyclone, attempting to redirect the attack towards him, depleting a bit of his own magic as well as inflicting some damage onto him. However, once she actually attempted it, the winds were still there, and cut through her with such intensity since she did not brace for the attack, and the knockback would slam her against the wall of the tower. The cloned version of the Wind Slayer would only smirk as this occurred, it was apparently funny for him. You dumb Phoenix, you do not know about a Sky Deity's Magic Resistance, your flames at your level could never consume my winds! He would announce so cockily, caused the She Phoenix to snarl as she shook back up onto her feet, that was a damning impact to take. Now she understood why the real version of Elyx thought that many underestimated him for his looks, his spells did pack one hell of a punch.

The real version of Elyx would look at the opposing Ignite, who seemed rather surprised to be on the losing end of things. The Wind Slayer was just too versatile for her, he was able to read her and counter her every move accordingly. Unless she thought of a way around that, there was no way that she could win against him. Still though, she shared the real She Phoenix's personality, thus causing her to charge at him with two palms of flames in her hands, the color purple instead of the regular orange or red that Ignite had. Maybe that was going to be the sign to tell the difference between what was real and what was fake. She aimed to strike at him with the right palm towards the head, in which he moved his body to the side, returning the attack by pressing his own palm against her stomach, pumping a sphere of wind from it into her stomach before blowing her away and slamming her against the wall with major knockback. However, unlike the previous Ignite, her feet hit against the wall before she fall back onto them, a bit more graceful than the real one. However, seeing as both were against the walls, and the original had already gotten up, the original She Phoenix would quickly strike at the cheek of the doppelganger and knocking her to the ground. The battle was a teeter-totter.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
"Which one of us has become a True Nephalem...? Please. I'm the one and only." Deniel, though slightly offended by the statement, still kept his cool and went in for a few more strikes. His Doppelganger blocked each of them, countered with his own, only to have them be blocked again. It was obvious that a body of the same sword skill and strength would not be able to overpower itself using a sword, so sooner or later one of them would have to give in and use a Full Body Take Over. It seemed Deniel was quite patient in that decision, and his Doppelganger was only waiting for him to use it. As a result, the two would only clash swords and battle each other to no end for several moments once more before stopping to talk and rest, the white one speaking first. "If you were the one and only, I wouldn't be here standing before you. Prove it." The two locked blades together, pushing with mighty strength back at the other, attempting to over power them. In spite of the fact that both of them knew it was futile. "Why should I...?" Deniel inquired, to which his Doppelganger responded with: "I know you will. We are one in the same. Your pride will give in eventually." The two of them jumped back from the clash of blades that they had, and once more circled around each other with little intent of attacking.

"Or I could just let Elyx win over there, and by the time he's done, we'll be able to defeat you easily." His Doppelganger shrugged, and gave himself a wink. "True enough, but we're a man of honor, aren't we? You won't let yourself do that." Deniel stopped in his tracks, and knew that he was right. His Doppelganger, though technically him, did prove to be quite knowledgeable of how Deniel worked. Of course he did, he was himself, wasn't he? Thinking about it only further confused him, so he ultimately decided not to do it. As Deniel stopped, so did his Doppelganger. The black clothed Nephalem closed his eyes, and let out a brief sigh. "Alright....you win. If you want to settle who is a True Nephalem...let's do it as Nephalem." As Deniel opened his eyes, both of them were no longer red. His left one had become a sky blue color, and each of them emitted mist of the same color associated with them. Matching his eyes to each side of his body, coming out from his shoulders were two transparent spirits of a red and blue color: Arianna the White Angel and Diabolos the Black Devil. Each of them appearing as they did as humans. And along with the spirits coming off of his back, Deniel attained a set of jet black feathered wings, a combination of good and evil.

His Doppelganger appeared very similarly, except with all of the colors reversed: white wings, orange and green eyes, and orange and green spirits on his back. Needless to say, Deniel wasn't really impressed with his how Doppelganger looked. Still, the real battle between the two of them had only just begun: "Let's dance."

The cloned Wind Slayer would attempt to save the She Phoenix counterpart by emitting white colored winds towards the real Ignite, trying to press her against the wall again. The real version of him however would prevent this by activating another of his higher ranked spells, which admittedly was beginning to take a toll onto him since he was using a hefty amount of magic power. A Tornado of wind without a cone like shape, but a cylinder shape, would launch out towards the doppelganger with the black jacket. The fake Elyx however jumped away from the attack by doing some sort of cartwheel flip motion off towards the side. Now it was a mirror battle between the both of them, but already the real one had a plan. Not everything about him could be matched, there was one unique attribute that the clone could not have. With a smirk on his face, the real Wind Slayer would lock his eyes onto that of his opponents. Tell me something, do you think you are able to match everything I do? The original Elyx would ask, having a smirk returned to him from his opponent. It seems like his answer was found, and the both of them would quickly draw out a Celestial Spirit key from their pouches. If you really had my knowledge, you would know that something like that for you is futile. Celestial Spirits require contracts before they are summoned, and you were about about a few minutes ago. And... There is only one Celestial Spirit that can be summoned, there can't be two Virgos. Regardless... Due to your lack of contracts...

The doppelganger Ignite would try to smack the key from his grip so suddenly, only to have the real one grip the fake ones wrist. It's not very polite to interrupt them you know! The original She Phoenix would announce before filling the opponents wrist with her deadly orange flames, the burning sensation traveling up the cloned Ignite's veins, launching her back and away from the grip, severe damage had been inflicted, would the opponent stand back onto their feet? The advantage was finally growing for the ones who were original.

You are unable to summon any spirits! I open the gate of the Celestial Spirit Maiden, come forth, Virgo! A white light would emit from the tip of the key as he sliced down. The clone repeated the chant in an attempt to trigger his key, but no contract had been made between him and the maiden, and the real Elyx was the one to call her out first. The maiden would reveal herself with her right palm over the left, formal as usual, though the chains kind of ruined that formal attire. Due to the effect of Celestial Fire, the other Elyx and Ignite would both suffer even more damage, and that was without the maiden attacking yet. The cloned Wind Slayer would step back, snarling as his plan had failed him. Damn you... Playing the numbers game! He would exclaim, showing that their plan was working.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
"You said it!" The two Nephalem began to walk towards each other, very slowly. With each and every step they took however, it was an assault on the other person. If someone had the senses and capabilities to keep up with their speed, which almost every being out there could not at this point, they would be able to locate and point out the fact that each Nephalem had charged right in to the other one with their swords clashing before retreating back and taking another step forward. In just seconds the power of both Deniel and his Doppelganger had increased exponentially to the point where each of them transcended comprehension of mind. As Nephalem, no God, Demon, or any kind of monster would stand a chance against them. Once the invisible attacks had ended, and they were now face-to-face, both of the Nephalem had finally started to duel with their swords to their truest potential. Deniel was the first to go on the offensive move, only to have his attack be blocked by his Doppelganger blinking right behind him. Dashing forward to avoid the hit, Deniel had also blinked right above his Doppelganger and came crashing down with his sword. His Doppelganger had used the same spell as Deniel had, dashing forward with Nephalem Dash, but Deniel had seen through the move. Rather than actually coming down onto him, he stopped mid-air with purple Chaos Energy just beneath his fight, supporting him and granting him the ability to walk on air.

Using this to his advantage, Deniel sprinted right towards where the Doppelganger would finish dashing, arriving just milliseconds after he did due to the difference in speed. Continuing his attack downwards, the Doppelganger was forced to blink away as he sensed the present danger approaching. Landing on his feet rather than letting his blade stab into the ground and put himself at a disadvantage, Deniel landed on both feet, and both him and his Doppelganger were quick to recover and retaliate. Their swords met once more several times, and each blow that they performed, the two spirits on their backs had mimicked their exact same motions, and had their blades clashing as well. "Is that all you've got!?" Deniel asserted to his Doppelganger. In the heat of battle, his remarks and level of calmness had dramatically changed. His Doppelganger laughed in response, with their blades bouncing off each other from recoil, and the two of them jumping away from each other. "Whatever I have is what you have as well. I am you, and you are me." A brief frown came across Deniel's face, not necessarily appreciating the fact that a clone of himself was giving him a hard time. An impostor.

Both Deniel and his Doppelganger took a few quick breaths, before they circled each other once more. "Let's kick it up a notch, shall we?" Deniel, in response, nodded and searched for a reflex to activate. And he found the perfect one. The two of them came straight at each other once more, but this time it yielded different results. The attacks of the Doppelganger were much more ferocious and filled with power, and it was evident due to the fact that Deniel had begun to stumble. At the same time, his Doppelganger was put heavily on the defensive due to the fact that every strike from Deniel created two small blades at the sides of his wings composed of Chaos Energy, and each of them was launched at his Doppelganger. In just one ability alone from the two of them, the fight had become much more intense and focus-driven than before, each side refusing to give the advantage to the other as blades flew everywhere, and intense strikes created shock-waves surrounding them.

With a smile on his face, he would look at the opposing clone that stood in front of him. They did not seem like the type to have such a tense moment while mirroring each other. Elyx thought that if he ever met a clone of himself, they would get along rather well together since they were able to understand each other. Well, they most certainly did, but looking at their current state, he could have not been any more incorrect. Virgo would bow her head formally before looking to the original Elyx, being able to differentiate them quickly using their colors. What would you like for me to do for you, master? The Celestial Maiden would ask with a neutral facial expression of her face. This time, he did not mind having her call him that, since she did not ask anything embarrassing, like when he was with Ven in the King of Fighters tournament and she asked him something along the lines of "Is it time for punishment, master?" That almost got him gripped by the throat by the Flame Slayer, and he could not blame her for it either. Elyx would smile before pointing towards the opposing version of the wind Slayer. We need to take care of this clown right here, you see. Think you could handle that? The Wind Slayer would ask, Virgo nodding her head before extending her chains all the way to their 30 meter distance, the wrist chains now being weapons. The fake Elyx would step back, snarling before unsheathing the fake Bound Iris that he had, preparing himself for the Celestial Maiden. That was a bad move, Virgo did not just have the chains up her sleeve. Due to the effect of Celestial Fire, the other Elyx as well as the fake Ignite would flinch as another burning sensation occurred and traveled through their body.

The cloned Ignite would fall onto her back, the energy being sucked out of her too much, and since she did not have too many damage resistance, it would be expected that she fell onto the ground. The differences in this battle was the Celestial Spirits, especially with the passive ability of Celestial Fire. The real one would look down at her from above, the domination She Phoenix in this battle. The one on the ground would snarl as she hissed a taunting comment at the real one. Relying on those damned spirits because you can't do anything on your own. Look at you so smug, acting like you are anything because you are standing there. This would be the other way around if yo- And so the real one would step onto the throat of the one that was one the ground, preventing any more words to emit from the fake ones lips. Looking down at her with her purple eyes, she would let out a smart remark before pressing down, ending the battle. You rely on my ability as a Phoenix bird to fight, your existence means nothing. You are the last one in existence to be giving me such an attitude. And with that, the pressure on her foot amplified, a crackle of the neck of the fake Ignite showing that one of the clones had been defeated.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
The way most scenarios would work is Deniel's attack would be overpowered with his Doppelganger's usage of a particular passive that increased his damage output and force, but he would be forced to retreat with the fact that Deniel's passive was the summoning of two blades with each and every strike he performed. So it would be Deniel overpowered, and the Doppelganger retreating. The two of them knew that this cycle would get them absolutely no where in the fight, and would only be a continual dancing around each other. Though in spite of that, this was only a warm up round for the both of them. They were the most powerful Mages on Ishval. There was no way that either of them would go down so easily. "Let's keep going!" His Doppelganger shouted at Deniel, to which the Nephalem responded with a very quick: "You got that right!" Before once more going in.

Deniel switched his passive to match that of his Doppelganger, so now the two of them still met at equal force and strength. Their sword attacks were no longer a mixed reaction, but rather the same. And when his Doppelganger attempted to trick up Deniel by switching to Rune Sabres, Deniel had only copied his action, and the blades launched at each other only met, destroying one another similarly to their actual swords clashing. The two of them once again switched back, and cut straight for each other once more. This entire time both of their swords were still covered with the energies conjured from Omnislash, and each of them knew that if they could just land one hit on the other, they would have an advantage for the rest of the fight. The trick was actually landing that. The Doppelganger took a pace backwards, and began to inhale, taking in a breath for his own usage. Deniel, at the same time, began to prepare his own spell to counteract what he knew what was coming. "Get ready!" His Doppelganger gave out a shout that unleashed an enormous amount of Chaos Energy firing straight for Deniel.

The real Nephalem had pulled back his fist, and when he saw the shout coming straight for him, he thrust his arm forward in a powerful punch, at the same time creating a purple spectral version of his fist. The fist collided with the shout, knocking it right back in the other direction straight towards the person who cast it. The Doppelganger set up a rectangular area of orange Chaos Energy, and had the Shout go right back to Deniel, his initial target. Deniel had also used the exact same spell, and redirected the shout. And at the same time, the Doppelganger set up more mirrors. When the whole system came together, the Shout the Doppelganger used was merely just bouncing back and fourth, up and down, and in every direction around Deniel and the Doppelganger, but never hitting either of them. And while it was doing so, they once again met in the center to repeatedly clash blades with each other in the center. And each of them energized themselves for when the fight went on.

That downed one of them, but there was another one that still needed to be handled. Virgo would begin the battle by drilling into the ground. Elyx in the meantime would charge towards the opponent, planning to distract him by using Bound Iris. The fake would block the first slash to the right before pushing forward his body, locking the right foot to the ground before shattering the ground all around them within 50 meters, knocking Virgo up into the air in return, knocking her before he body would flip, since she would not land on her back while she was this active, that was the first amount of damage that she had taken from this fight. Ignite would take advantage, already having a palm cut into the fake version of Ignite, the palm of fire burning in the enemy before launching him into the air. In return however, he would flip back to normal using Air Step, preventing him from flying away any further. Pulling out his own Bound Iris from his sheathe, the cloned Elyx would extend it forward before a huge wad of dark magic would extend the blades length, the distance created by the magic was so large. It was 150 meters of pure devastation, he was able to hit them all with it if he felt like. And knowing the enemy, he most probably did. Elyx could have done the same thing if he wanted to, but her feared that he would hit the allies with him as well as his enemy. And it was not worth it. Meanwhile, the cloned version of him had no nearby allies, meaning that no matter who he hit, it was an enemy. Getting close to him was going to be an adventure on its own, but it was not quite impossible either. The numbers game was still on their side, all they had to do was take advantage of the numbers and work together. A lot easier said than done, but still possible.

The She Phoenix would start by running, earning her a side slash with the newly made blade of dark magic. Elyx and Virgo would launch their bodies into the air to avoid the attack before the Celestial Sprit Maiden would slash her chains downwards onto the fake Elyx, who was able to block using the giant weapon. Once that occurred, the real Wind Slayer would fire a spear of wind magic from his palm, aiming to pierce the opponent. However, it was not that easy to hit an opponent who had their speed boosted using the effect of Air Step, thus resulting in a miss when attempting to hit the moving target, the spear did not change directions. Ignite was able to cover a bit more ground, firing a chain of flames towards the opponent. However, those flames meant nothing to the dark magic as once again they were blocked, resulting in nothing in the end. They were slowly by surely getting close, both were emphasized when being said.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
As the two Nephalem battled each other in the center of all of the surrounding Chaos Energy, both purple and yellow-orange, very soon it would all fade away. First the beam summoned from the Doppelganger's mouth, and then the mirrors created by the both of them. And once more they were left at each other's throats with their blades, dueling fiercely with hopes that one would gain an advantage over the other. A cut came from Deniel above whilst exactly at the same time another came from below due to his insane speed, and the Doppelganger not only managed to block them both, but come in with a strike from the left and from above, only to have them blocked by Deniel as well. Their blades swung in immense motion and speed to the point where even master swordsmen would be unable to follow or track exactly where the blades were headed. Though in spite of all of that, the sound of their metals clashing and clanging against each other could be heard countless times in just a single second. Although technically sharing the same blood, the two were battling each other fiercely like arch enemies. And in spite of both of them knowing it would hardly be settled with a sword fight, each of them clung on the the hopes that the other one would make a mistake, and an undeniable advantage would be gained by that singular one. Though at the same time, both of them knew that was never going to happen. And at the same time, they both seemed to derive a sort of twisted pleasure just from the sounds of their swords going against each other, and the stress of knowing that if they let up for even a moment, they would be defeated.

Although their current sword clashes were done relatively standing still with very little motion, the actual battle was still only developing. The winner would not be settled quite yet, in fact quite a long time. Another key factor was that neither of them were using their left hands. It was all done with their rights. They knew that a hand during combat should never lie dormant, and they should take every opportunity they could receive, to inflict damage. But the reason why their other hands were not used is because they were still just in the warm-up round for everything. Now the other hands would be applied. In the midst of cutting each other with their swords, both Deniel and his Doppelganger would point their index and middle fingers at each other, firing small but insanely quick bullets of Chaos Energy. Energy that would only be deflected and erased by the swinging of their blades, or by a bullet shot by the opposing side going in the exact same direction. They were Doppelgangers, one in the same, so their minds could predict each other, and think alike. Both of their blades clashed with each other, and then came the small duel of finger guns. Quite ridiculous, but also very serious. Deniel shot right for his Doppelganger's forehead, to which the Doppelganger jerked its neck to the right to avoid being shot, and went right back at Deniel. Deniel shot his own bullet to cancel out his, and the two of them engaged in a few brief bunches and twists of each other's arms whilst the bullets were firing, and the heads avoiding them. And all of this was going on while the dominant right arms were fighting strengths with each other.

A duel of Nephalem was perhaps one of the most intense experiences one could witness. And this one was still only getting started. With their blades still locked with each other, each of them turned their gaze towards the raging battle going on with Elyx and his Doppelganger. And both of them got the same idea. They looked into each other's contrasting eyes, and smirked. And then, half of the power they were granted was transferred over to both of their companions and accomplices.

The battle of the extended Bound Iris clone against the three regular opponents, the Celestial Spirit Maiden, the She Phoenix, and the Sky Deity Slayer, as they continued to charge towards their opponent. The cloned version of Elyx would smirk as he would quickly emit the "Champion Flow" effect from his body, which caused a massive amount of wind to transfer from the clones body throughout the room. It was a violent wind for any average human, but to them it would feel like a light breeze. The real one could do the same thing, but he was not lacking the magic power to execute the ability yet, so he would not do such a thing. Ignite would be the first one to execute an attack trying to get the clone from the left side, only for her fistful of flames to be denied by the extended blade of the clone, launching her away from him, causing severe damage onto her once again. Her back was slammed against the wall, forcing her back to slide down the wall, it was unfortunate, but there was no time to focus on that right now. Virgo would dig in the ground once again, trying to sneak her way behind the clone. The spell that he had used before to break the ground was still in its cooldown, it would take a while before it was allowed to return, and knowing that alone give the Celestial Spirit Maiden a chance. Finally, she would appear from behind the clone, both of the chains up right behind her back, all she would have to do was slam them onto the enemy and cause critical amounts of damage onto him. A perfect opportunity, only... That was what it seemed like at least.

A sudden adrenaline rush would shoot through the bodies of both Elyx's, without any explanation of why, but he felt so much stronger than he previously was. The cloned version of him would suddenly block both of the chain whips as they struck, then pushed out to clear the Celestial Spirit from his sights. Meanwhile however, while he was distracted with Virgo, the real Elyx would strike his opponent with his own Bound Iris blade, sending him back against the walls, but not with as much impact as before. The defenses seemed to have improved, the both of them obtained the boost. But only the both of them... Meaning... Just the thought of it made him chuckle. Did he not tell the man to worry about his own health, while he was looking over his own? It did not matter though, this assist given to him was plenty of help, so just this once, he will let something so trivial go. Now it was time to test out his new strength. his opponent seemed to know what was going on, being the clone and all, it was likely that they were able to mirror their thoughts with each other and the originals. But regardless, that did not stop the clone from losing this battle, and the real Wind Slayer planned to keep it that way.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Immediately their attention was turned back to each other. Let the two Elyx's handle their own problems. Perhaps a lot faster than before. Now it was back to their fight. Once again the miniature gun duel resumed with the two of them trying to get just one shot off at each other, in spite of the fact that not even the shot would put either of them at any sort of tactical advantage, and would do perhaps the least amount of damage in their arsenal. Though in spite of that, it showed just how dedicated each side was to making sure he was not the one hit, and the other one was. No matter what, do not get hit. Do not get hit. Do. Not. Get. Hit. That was the rule for the both of them, and they would assure they would do everything in their power to assure it would never happen to them. Only to the other. After the miniature gun power, the two of them forced themselves away seeing as neither of them would gain any advantage to pushing against the other. Now it was time for one more brief duel of wits, and a duel of spells. This time, Deniel was the one to make the first move. "Eat this!" His two eyes each flashed for a single second, and then sealed themselves shut. He held out his left palm, and paralleled it with his blade. Two decent sized orbs of Chaos Energy conjured: one in his left palm, and the other on his right blade. Rather than mimicking what his original self had done, the Doppelganger stood still and held out his palm.

Deniel suspected that his Doppelganger had something to counter it--he probably always would--but decided to go on with it anyways. The spell had already been cast. Deniel flung both orbs, one at a time, straight at his Doppelganger. The moment each one of them connected with the ground just a few meters away from him, they were hard to aim, they each erupted in an enormous explosion that shook the air around it, and even consumed Deniel, but he stood within its radius, unaffected and unmoved. When the Chaos had finally settled, his Doppelganger was standing in a small veil of Chaos Energy surrounding his body, having activated the Nephalem Shield to protect himself from the blast without actually stirring himself. Or even bothering to move. Taking the advantage of it, Deniel lifted up his left arm and fingers to another gun position, and fired out several Nephalem bullets to weaken the shield as much as possible. Confident in its strength, and uncaring to how much Deniel damaged it, the Doppelganger stood still and let the shots go through. Deniel continued for a few brief moments, before words interrupted him. "Know what time it is...?" One last shot was fired out, until Deniel stopped and lowered his arm. "What exactly...?" His Doppelganger laughed and shrugged under the yellow-orange veil. "Time to get a little more serious..."

Lets keep dancing, now that you are focused on me and me only now! Elyx, the real one, would announce before the other one would snarl at him. The both of them locked eyes with each other before then leaping out towards each other. Naturally, the clone version of him would slice to the side since, well, he had a good 150 meter blade in his grip. This made Elyx jump into the air to avoid the attack, and in return, he would place both of his palms outwards towards his opponent, a smile on his face as a circle would open in front of him. Once it opened, a barrage of wind chains would launch out towards his opponent, who could only evade unless he dared try to block the attacks with that heavy weapon. So making the rational decision, the other Wind Slayer would roll out of the way from the first few chains. The next few were still chasing him, forcing him to run only before returning the chains with a sudden Sky Deity Bellows launched out towards the chains of dark wind. It sure did end them, but that was all that it did, it did not mean to aim for the real Elyx, who was still on the run around, slowly gaining some ground against his opponent. Now that he was not outnumbered anymore however, the clone was able to focus on the real Sky Slayer, being able to raise the Bound Iris blade up into the air before slicing it downwards onto his opponent. It was a nice move, being so aware that he could raise the blade quickly, aim it even quicker, and slice it down quickest. It would have been a nice tale to tell to say that the original Elyx did avoid the attack, but that was not reality, and all he could do was take the damage inflicted to him.

Being launched back from the attack, the real Sky Slayer would snarl from the damage inflicted onto him. He forgot that his own weapon was able too inflict severe damage. However, he was also able to inflict that much damage with his own, maybe he should try to do the same thing as his opponent... wait, that was the whole point. That was what the other version of Elyx wanted to do, match the both of them together. There had to be some sort of bonus to his abilities that make him stronger, and if there is nothing else different, then it seems like there is only one option... To keep fighting this way and be as different as he could from his opponent. From there, he would be a lot less predictable, seems like there were going to have to be a few tricks involved, it has been quite a while since Elyx had done this... But... He was going to have to plan his actual moves out to outsmart his opponent. Oh how he thought he would have to see such a day..
