Sea birds screeching against the backdrop of gentle ocean waves rocking, large open blue sky. For the past several days? Jiyu had seen so much of that it was nearly too sickening for her handle. Now, with pale tan boards beneath her bare feet, another thing entirely was on her mind, she's finally gotten away from her homeland. Once she stepped off the board leading down from the boat, she would be in an entirely new sort of life!  Thought as she looked up at the city before her? Kazehime had her doubts this would be where she stayed. Of course she did not intend to really stay anywhere, having a house to rest in yeah that was one thing, but travel sounded very fun. Now that she had more than only a few miles of small home town village to explore, Jiyu was eager to see all of it. "Ookay, Here We Go!"

Of course the girls first discovery would be that cobblestone was much harder on her bare feet than the dirt streets of her home town had been. Maybe one of her first tasks? Should  be to get some shoe's, after-all those were the things that one wore to protect their feet, and she honestly glass there might be broken glass somewhere in this city. "Hopefully there isn't any glass on my way wherever I'm going." shoes were secondary to exploring, since she figured the chance that she'd actually get her feet hurt was slim to none, the callous's she already had would just get harder to protect them!

"Where to go first." her sharpened nail touched to her bottom pale pink lip, sliding down to her chin as it pulled beneath her top row of teeth. Kazehime's thinking did not last long before she put her hands in the sweater thrown over top of her bikini top and strode her jean covered legs forward. This was going to be way more fun than the sleepy village she grew up in.

Marschal had only ever known Bosco as his true home, after having been displaced from his home village many years ago. He didn't know what had drawn him here to this specific nation out of all the other nations available for living. Something within the boards of this place had brought him here to join Black Rose, and he couldn't be anymore happier. Not many joined the guild though, which was highly disappointing for the young mage, as he liked to terrorize the newcomers some. Rile them up a bit to see what they would do and if they were worthy of joining the guild or useless like that Suzuran had been. Mostly, it was for his own entertainment, as he liked scaring the people and got a kick out of their reactions. Today... well.. he was out scoping for another victim of his pranks, and he happened upon a woman with beautiful, long, black hair.

Quietly, he would slink down from the rooftop he was standing on, and land in front of Jiyu with a blissful look in his eyes. He would stuff his hands into the pockets of his black jeans and relax back into his stance, looking down at her. A single strand of white could be seen among the midnight black of his hair, the hair that flowed down past his butt, to the backs of his knees. It was neither braided nor placed in a pony tail to keep it from getting entangled on things, but somehow remained untouched by nature.

"Hey there, pretty, little lady," Marschal spoke in a flirtatious tone, eyes narrowed to give him a more sensual look. "You look to be a little lost... need help with anything, m'dear?" He would cock an eyebrow at her, intense red eyes watching. She appeared to be of foreign nature, much like himself, what with how she wore no shoes, despite the wintry look she gave off.

His feline ears would swivel forward as he realized he had not introduced himself to the fair maiden before him. In return, the mage would bow slightly as an apology to her, then correct his stance as he established who he and what his name was.

"I go by Marschal Leigh, and I am a mage of the resident guild, Black Rose," he announced to Jiyu in an apathetic manner. "Are you here on a visit or are you looking for the guild hall by any chance? If so, I can take you there right now. I'm sure the guild members would be delighted in seeing a new face after the first had been run off, scared." He should truly shut up now; it wasn't necessary for Jiyu to know that their guild had run off a potential member. At that moment, he thought that maybe asking for her name would be best, so he would inquire to her, "by the way, what is your name?"

You could actually partly consider what happened to Jiyu some sort of displacement. While no one had physically or verbally forced her out? They had forced her out with their emotions, ever since a decade ago all the villagers had treated her so differently, like she was made of glass or didn't exist at all. Every day of the past ten years, it had been clear her father had no idea what to do with her after that fire happened, and he had even less of an idea on how to deal with her after he remarried. The final straw had been when his new wife became pregnant, while she had nothing against her step mother? Jiyu just did not feel like she belonged in her village or with her family anymore and sadly when she left she'd left a note behind saying as such. So now? It was a matter for the pride she had that meant she would never go back to that sleepy little settlement. Even if she still loved the people she'd grown up with.

long slender leg's carried her forward, but nearly impacting into a much taller form sent those same legs, namely the bare feet, into a momentary episode of kicking tiny stones and dancing before she regained her balance.Honestly if you were gonna jump of a roof to in front of someone? You should warn them first, especially if they were moving as she had been, otherwise it was an accident waiting to happen; This man was a shallow selfish idiot...... A very pretty shallow selfish idiot with hair that she totally wanted to stroke, it looked smooth and the black had her hypnotized for a few seconds due to it's length. Honestly? It wasn't so much his hair that had her forgetting why she thought he was a jerk, but rather the memories such smooth jet black locks brought up in the back of her head; Her mother.

"I'm never lost jerk." that was one of the blander insults she could use on someone, and insulting people was actually something she found entertaining sometimes. However this time it was not in fun, but rather a swift defensive mechanism, because truth be told, Kazehime had no idea where she was going or even which town this was, but she would never admit it. The female seemed furious that he had even suggested the notion she be lost, and her pale mouth opened to speak such again, but....  "Huh"

He hit the nail on the head about Jiyu being a foreigner, she was far off compared to most people. back where she came from? She, with her ever wilder persona and weird eyes, well she was the best oddity they had! Kaze had never seen someone with animal features, hands reaching up, her toes barely able to support her as she closed her finger tips around the top. When you found something new that was super interesting? Touching it was always first instinct "You have cat ears." she would rub them slightly, more of a 'are these real' sort of thing than anything else, the fascinated look not leaving her face, as her toes finally failed her, and she took several steps backwards on her heels to keep from hitting her ass.

Too much was being explained quickly for her liking, but she did clearly know he wanted to know her name. "IOh, 'M Jiyu Kazehime, I kinda just got off a boat, so food that isn't dehydrated and going where I'm going is kind of the only thing I'm doing. " she would be damned if she let mister suddenly so bipolar, from flirty to seemingly entirely closed off, know she had no idea where they were, and what she was doing with herself. However the way he changed so suddenly, it pulled to her, and she wanted to make him do it again, figure out with mannerism was really him. "Of course-" as she spoke Jiyu straightened her back, slender fingers twirling one half of her orange bangs around themselves, and slowly pulling out, a smile coming to her lips when her finger's matched the level, body swaying "Company that isn't part of a ship crew is a fantastic idea as well." in the end, standing tall as she could her hands would be in her sweater pockets, conveniently pulling it back, making the bikini top even more clear than it already was.

"Also Marsc, you should warn people before you jump down in front of them." with that she leaned back against the wall of the building behind her, one knee bent pressing that foot against the wall. "If I hadn't stop one of us would have gotten hurt." keep the conversation going and she what he did.

Behind the scenes, Marschal had been abused and tortured, when he was younger, by the children of Mountain Village. They would throw rocks at his head, call him names, try to tear down their house he previously used to live in, all to make him miserable. It wasn't just the children that would make him doleful, it was the adults of the village that really had hurt his ego. His mother had been the victim of their brutality, in which she had been stoned to death trying to protect him from the villagers. At that point, his father had barred him inside the house, so that he wouldn't be hurt by the villagers anymore. That didn't much work; Marschal had always been terrified to be on his own whenever his father left for a fishing trip. Eventually, he had to be taken on the trips with his father, and afterward, he would come to be living here in Black Rose.

When Marschal had slung himself down to stand in front of Jiyu, he hadn't taken into thought that he would run into her. Unfortunately, the woman had bumped straight into his chest and had stumbled backward several steps before catching her balance. He would've helped her, but by the time he had reacted to her stumbling, she had already since caught her balance and called him a jerk for stating she was lost. Well, he had only been calling as he had seen it, and from what it had looked like to the young mage, she had been lost. On top of that, she didn't look like she was someone who familiar with area, and that's why he had offered his help to her. She had every right to deny that help if she wanted; she could have easily gone around him and continued on her way. It wasn't like he was blockading her way anyway, and she could have just ignored what he was asking of her.

He wouldn't stand there and take the shit she was giving him though, and a bored expression appeared on his face. Marschal ran his fingers through his long hair as he brushed it out of his face, flicking the ends off the tips of his fingers. His mouth would stretch open in a gentle 'o' shape, giving out a yawn before he would look back to the orange-haired woman. She couldn't have been anymore dumb either, not with how she had slipped out the little "huh" in his presence. Marschy rolled his eyes and dropped his arms to his sides, cocking an eyebrow at the woman with a bit of curiosity. Perhaps she didn't understand that there were guilds around and that she would be able to join one if she wanted to. Well, he supposed he could inform her about it, but she was starting to look a little grouchy with his sudden appearance.

The mage had been unlucky enough to have slipped off into thought and hadn't noticed that Jiyu had gotten closer to him. In fact, she had gotten so close to him, that she was able to reach up onto her toes and play with his ears if she wanted. What did she do? She did exactly that. By standing on her toes, she would reach up to his ears and rub them lightly.

"Oi!" Marschal would bark out, stepping away from her with disgusted look on his face and flattening his ears against his head. He didn't like having his ears touched, by anyone, and she had just violated his privacy bubble that he greatly enjoyed. "Don't touch my ears! I said I'd take you to the guild if you wanted, I didn't give you permission to touch any part of my body!" His stance would soon relax though and he'd stretch out the tension that had gathered in his muscles from Jiyu's attack.

Marschy would reach up to the top of his head and grip his ears, rubbing at them slightly to get red of the strange sensation. He was angry now, but he knew the rule of Black Rose, that he shouldn't pose as a threat to a potentially new guild member. So, he would keep his distance from her for now, crossing his arms back over his chest to at least look slightly intimidating.

"So, you're here to just grab some grub?" asked Marschal, feeling like her just getting food to go was the oddest thing. Actually, he couldn't remember the last time that someone had only stuck around for a fleeting moment and not to join. Of course, that was excluding Suzuran that they had managed to run off on their own, but that was a story for another time. "Well, we have our own personal chef back at the guide, he's an Ace of the guild as well, and he'd be delighted to make food for you, I'd believe."

Extending a hand out to her, he would wait for the woman to take hold of it, saying to her, "well, what do you say?" If she took his hand, he would pull her along to the guild and into the guild hall; if not, he would turn on his way and hope she was following him. Besides, he didn't want to stick around in the town for too long or else things would start to get awkward for him. Anyway, the others would like to get to know her as well, and a guest was always welcome here in the town guild of Black Rose. Perhaps he would even show her around the guild some, but that was only if she confirmed that she wanted to join.

A stone cold look would still be plastered on his face as they entered the guild hall, wondering if anyone else would come to greet them. If not, that didn't bother the man so much, it meant a new member all to himself, and he could have a bit of fun.

She did not really know how her life had went in the direction it had currently taken. Well actually? She knew that the exact reason was the fire ten years ago and the facts of it, how no one believed the truth, told her she was mistaken so many times she believed. Anyway's? Growing up she had been treated like as much of a princess as the village could muster and while some people outside of the community took issue with her odd eye combination, everything important had never seemed to notice it, or chose not to let it affect their thoughts if they did note it. So many days spent attached at the hips to her parents, and than suddenly one was no longer there, and she slowly let her hand slip from the only one she had left as well, because she knew that he could never be that happy again if he was holding onto her and thus the image of her mother. Perhaps her running away like this was actually because she loved them too much, so much so that she could not even admit to loving them anymore as anything besides an echo of a memory.

Jiyu was moving onto a new stage in life, at the border of doors she could push open so strongly they came off their hinges and stayed eternally opened to her! Somehow thought, given the moment to learn against the wall like this, processing things she could only really think about how maybe she was the selfish one standing here. However it was pointless thinking of something she'd never have to deal with again and a place she'd never return to.

Why hadn't she ignored him was actually a very good question, it would have been much more convincing that she was not lost if she'd just snuffed him off. Maybe the reason she had chosen to pay so much attention to him had something to do with that hair currently falling ina  flick from the tip of his finger's; Looking at that made her feel warm, or at the very least curious. Apart from his cat ears, which was a thing she had never seen before? He also had long hair, which was normally reserved for females back where she had grown up, and damn that hair was gorgeous. For a split second, she touched the black part of her partly dyed hair and rubbed the wild strands between her fingers. Yeah her hair was never gonna do pretty things like that, while she knew her more messy appearance in hair had its own appeal, she liked his smooth appearance better. Crap.

Marscal had just made the biggest mistake of his life! If he ever wanted to screw around and press Jiyu's buttons again? The Male would have to be extra careful about his ears, like tape them to the top of his head and put a concrete wall between her and them, cause now that she knew one of his weaker spots, if she had to she'd exploit the shit out of it. Thought she did have to admit suddenly fooling around with them had not been her best or most smooth ever, but the appendages were just so, attention grabbing and easy to look at. Interesting.

What would be more interesting? When he barked at her she literally gave a bark and a low growl back, lips pulled back slightly to show her teeth. Might as call her a wild dog, damn. Oh looked like she had not done her mother proud on this trip, she was already acting like a canine again, but it was his fualt so mother would forgive her, right?!

"Get the stick out of your ass, I've just never seen anything like them before." he was trying to distance himself from her, but the pale woman be having none of that sort of thing. Now that she was interested in him? He was not going to get too far away from her, if she liked a toy she would play with it until she grew bored of it, she was not done with him yet, she had not won yet. Heck if anything she lost several more steps in this fight as he reached his hand out to her, and for a few seconds she froze up again. Screw him, he acted so high just because he was from around here, well she'd know this place better than the jackass soon!

As much as she seemed ready to argue and fight with him if the much taller male would entertain her? Kazehime seemed just as delighted to let it all go, body acting against the thoughts she did not yet get to have taking his much larger hand. Honestly the last time she had held hands with someone, she could not remember a time after her mothers death, sure she let her father touch her and hug her and stuff. However? Without someone to hold the other hand, the action had felt numb, broken. Jiyu mostly had her blue-green sight on his hand as it clutched her smaller one and dragged her along. Before long, the woman took to walking only a step or two behind him, laughing into the fist of her other hand once.

"Yeah, that sounds nice. You don't know how horrible dehydrated food tastes." Or generally how the sea could upset your stomach sometimes at odd moments and result in total loss of whatever you'd just eaten. Honestly she was likely skinnier than normal right now due to the few times she had not been able to hold food down for a day or two while at sea. Of course she had actually rather liked the trip all Jiyu would wish was that right now, she could keep hanging around with the only interesting thing she'd seen in months in terms of another living being.

Now it would be a matter of who let go of whose hand first, Kazehime would not loose to him this time! "Your hand's really big" of course she just could not keep her mouth shut, looing at their locked hands more closely now that they had stopped moving. Honestly, her appendage was half the size of his, if she was lucky it was likely smaller than that!

While Jiyu could easily move onto the next piece of her life, Marschal's past was something that had slowly corrupted him. The early death of his mother was beyond anything that a child of six years could easily handle, especially one as brutal of a passing as hers had been. His mother, while protecting him from the onslaught of derogatory terms and stones to the head, had been stoned to death, herself. Bloodied, beaten, a little child terrified to death standing behind his fallen mother's body... nobody wanted that. Yet the villagers, they had been cruel enough to leave him as a motherless child all because they hated his kind. Hated his kind so much that they would have done everything in their power to make sure he didn't leave the village alive. He had made it out of that village alive though, and it was all thanks to his stepfather that he barely even liked... pitied, actually.

Should he have been grateful toward Fumishi in getting him out of that hellhole after six or so years of suffering? Maybe. However, he had been so attached to his mother that he didn't once want to leave the deceased woman's side. In fact, he had hated Fumishi even more for leaving their mother behind; he didn't understand that she wasn't coming back. He wanted his mother... wanted her so badly that he fought tooth and nail and screamed to get away from his stepfather. A life on a fishing boat wasn't so bad though, he had the chance of being able to see places he would never have dreamed to see. That lifestyle didn't last for long either, at least only for a couple more years before the ship was destroyed in a storm. Along with that ship, Marschal could remember seeing the fearful look in his stepfather's eyes as he went down with it.

That was the last of his family that he knew of, and the traumatic event of losing both his parents in a short span of time was hard on him. Fortunately for Marschal, he had washed up on the shores of his real father's homeland, and would be found by him shortly after being washed up. From there, he would be raised by him for several more years, until one day, Inteus would simply disappear from his life. No recollection in his mind, besides glowering golden eyes and hair as blue as the cerulean waters of the ocean. Now, Marschal wanted to remember more than ever who his real father was, and ask him why he disappeared that day. He doubted though, that he would ever get to come across that man again, like that of "once in a blue moon." A phenomenon never to actually happen, only to be fabled by legends and tales from those around him.

For all those years after the disappearance of Inteus, Marschal had no intentions of finding him, but to first prove his strength. He wanted his mother and his stepfather to know that he was a lot stronger than he had been at the age of six. It was this reason alone that Marschal had joined Black Rose; he trusted that this guild could make him stronger. Maybe that was the reason why he was so intent on showing the place to Jiyu because he loved this guild with all his heart. Marschy wanted people to see that they were just some mysterious guild of bounty hunters, that they were actual people. Jiyu was his first step into making that possible, but if only he could convince her to join the guild in the first place.

His red eyes flicked toward Jiyu, then to the guild hall that they had entered after their little argument beforehand.

Black Rose was a massive guild, itself, designed to look similar to a tavern on the first floor, with its wooden floors and walls. That wasn't the tavern, however, it was a stairway to the right that led up to the Common Room, more precisely known as the tavern. Tables cluttered the room, but somehow this place still had tons of it to spare, and even a bar made home in the back. Not far off from that bar? Well, there was an entryway into a large kitchen, where Kakuma typically stole food from. Marschal hardly ever went in there, though the enticing scents of fish and meat really called out to him. He would beckon Jiyu along to the right stairway, and lead her up into the tavern, where the rest of the guild was. Except, most of the guild was actually on the first floor, busy looking for jobs or conversing with each other.

"Hey! I don't have a stick up my ass! I just don't like my ears being touched by people I'm not familiar with," Marschal pointed out to Jiyu. "Actually, I don't like any of my appendages being touched by anyone other than Kakuma, now that I think about it..." Kakuma was his beloved, the woman of his dreams, as well as the first and only guildmaster of Black Rose. However, her appearances were so sporadic that Marschal couldn't say for sure she would come around and greet Jiyu. For now, he would only hope that some of his guildmates decided to be nice and come out to greet her. "How would you like it if some stranger decided to just up and touch your ears without you giving them permission to?" A grouchy frown would appear on his face and he would cross his arms over his chest again, taking a seat at his table.

"And my hands are not big! They are a normal size for someone my height!" Marschal whined out defensively to Jiyu. He was staring at his hands out, scrunching his fingers into balls and uncurling them as he decided on their size. Nothing was wrong with his hands! They were perfectly okay, he assumed... or maybe they only looked normal to him? Jiyu had pointed out that they were quite large, but she was also quite short, too, definitely a foot smaller than him. So, maybe her bones were tinier than his; plus, he had more animalistic features built into his masculine body. "You're just tiny anyway, so I can see why you think that they're larger than what a normal person's is." Marschy shrugged his shoulders and let his clawed hands drop back into his lap, and he looked back up at her.

He would motion to the back of the tavern then, saying, "there's a kitchen back there if you want to go order them around." Otherwise, he wasn't moving from the place, and would kick back and extend his legs, placing his hands behind his head. Marschal wiggled around in his seat for a second, getting himself comfortable, and closed his eyes partially. "No one's going to stop you in getting something to drink anyway, and dehydrated food sounds quite familiar to me. I think I ate it a lot on my stepfather's fishing boat whenever we went out on the ocean for a few weeks or months. It wasn't the most disgusting of things, but it was definitely food that I could care less in having to eat at times." His eyes would open up again, red meeting red, curious to know what Jiyu would say about this place now that she was in it.

"Now, I don't know if anyone's going to come around or not, so if you want, I can just show you the place," Marschal spoke. He would bounce his leg some and stare at her, waiting for an answer, and also watching any of her reactions.

While there were those who could move on from their pasts, and those who were eternally haunted by theirs, Kistiñe had tried to run away from it.  There had been many good things in her life that she would always cherish: adventures with her sister around her home, her mother's cooking and loving nature, and the lively music and dance that had surrounded her on a daily basis were among them. It was a shame to have to remove herself from those beloved moments due to her father's puritanic beliefs and stringent control over her life, but it had been a necessary sacrifice for her own sanity and peace of mind. Rather than simply pick herself up and move to another city or country, she became a traveler for a time—wandering aimlessly from one country to the next until she ended up in Fiore.

At the time of her arrival, she had been a man; soon after, she had been turned into a bird by an ex-lover, and she had received her current form after a flubbed attempt at breaking her free from her avian state.  Most of her time in the country had seen her as that tropical bird—a toucan—and most in the guild knew her as such. For a few days she tried to avoid being in the public eye of her guild mates too much as she tried to adjust to her new circumstances, but she inevitably decided the best way to get used to it was to just live with it.

Kistiñe was still in her bed; awake and upright, but still too tired to do much else other than sit there and think. Her hair was in her face and uncombed, her vivid brown eyes clouded with the fog that came with just waking up from a poor night's sleep. Although she'd never ask it aloud, she now wondered how women slept with breasts sitting on their chests; for someone who was unaccustomed to the sensation, it was highly uncomfortable. A long yawn exited her mouth, accompanied by the stretching of her arms and back; her stomach gave a soft growl to signify that it needed food, but other than that there was little motivation for her to get up and leave right that moment. After a moment, she decided to go ahead and find something to eat.

Grabbing a bathrobe off a hook by the door—it was light blue with miniature toucans patterned throughout—she donned it before walking out of her room barefoot. As she walked down the hall towards the tavern's stairway, she began to hear two voices talking. One of them she made out to be Marschal's, the other one—a woman—she couldn't place a finger on...was she new?

The young woman climbed up the stairs and, as she suspected, saw Marschal talking with a newcomer. Although normally unaffected by embarrassment, she became a tad bit self conscious of what she was wearing. First impressions often said a lot about a person, and she doubted walking around the guild hall in a bathrobe and pajamas was a very good one...regardless, though, she did need something to eat. With a wave, she ducked into the kitchen before any comment could be made.

The Black Rose kitchen was filled with a wide assortment of characters, many of whom were from different countries. There was one in particular Kistiñe was looking for, if only because he was from her homeland, and thus could speak her language.

“Pablo, ¿Estás en aquí?” she asked, her voice cracking a bit after not being used all morning.

“¡Sí, señorita!” a burly voice called from the back of the kitchen.

It was the middle of the day; most of the kitchen staff was either on break or doing very little in the afternoon lull, thus making it easy to navigate through the work area in her morning clothes. Behind a spice rack stood a man with a shade or two darker than her own, a bald head that was covered in a white bandana, and a thick mustache on his face. He was dressed in normal kitchen attire—a white shirt and a heavily stained apron, and was sharpening his knife.
“¿Cómo estás, Kistiñe?” he asked, looking up from his task.

“Una poca consada, pero aparte de eso estoy bien,” she replied, “Yo quería preguntar si tenías cualquier sopa que sobró de anoche. Me levanté tarde esta mañana, y yo no he desayunado todavía.”

“Por supuesto que hago,” he replied, chuckling and ruffling her hair, “Está en la olla en la estufa.”

“Gracias, Pablo,” she replied. Giving him a kiss on he cheek in farewell, the girl grabbed a bowl and spoon from the stack of dishes on the counter before taking a couple scoops of the stew—surprisingly, it was still warm from the night before. It was a thick, creamy soup with chicken and vegetables—hearty and meant to keep one's hunger down for hours. To the ire of one of the bakers, she grabbed a fresh dinner-roll from the batch meant for later that night on her way out of the kitchen before sitting down at a table near Marschal and Jiyu.

That question isn't really relevant to me, if I can't get to my own ears I don't think anyone else can either." the pale skinned teenager gestured to her  head in the general premise of her ears. However? It was clear if you looked at her hair it was filled witht several knots, cow licks, things that didn't fit and was a general mess. After her mother died? No one really had the time to upkeep the little girls hair, so it had gone into disarray and she refused to let anyone trim it or touch it, so long as it was long like her mother's had been, jiyu was fine with it.

His height in and of itself was not normal and it was not as thought she was saying her own was, since she was so short and could not deny that fact, but Ji was suggesting he might have more of a height disorder than she did. For one? She'd rather be short than tall, you could move faster, and two she was maybe three inches below average, he was at least a foot and some above an average. At least above her, and she would consider herself the average. "I'm not that short!" it was more of a dogs whine thought than a legit sentance.

It was than she took note of the claws when her vision compared their hands once more. Thinking back? She could remember a very pale clawed hand flipping the pages of her favorite learning books for her, while she had never forgotten a single detail about her mother, Jiyu did not often think about the claws the older woman had during her life. Well until something like this brought them to her mind. Her nails had been the one comrpimise she made and kept with her father so far, thus they were short and she grimanced at them. maybe she'd finally start manacuring them back to look like mothers.

"Than I'll be right back, not that I think your going anywhere." she laughed at him and how company he looked, walking forward to the kitchen, sniffing briefly before entering in order to ensure they did not have any flames burning, that would be bad. Having some flip out her first visit here? simply because of her dislike for flames, would be quiet the bad thing now wouldn't it! Ji finally started rummaging throught the kitchen for a few minutes, before you'd someone telling her how she shouldn't be doing something, her saying whatever and exiting.

The pale woman? Had taken a plate of meat, nothing too odd about that but the weird thing was that it was not been cooked, only cut into tiny pieces she could stab with a fork which rested on the plate. Of course leigh was sorely mistaken if he believed himself rid of the teen, for she sat down, , on the edge of the table, ono the otherside from him and put her plate down beside her, why sit on the chair when she could sit on the table. " They agree to fed me and act as if no one ever eats raw meat." which was what her dad always said, but she did eat raw meat and it was damn tasty.

Running away. If you went by legal rules and such? Jiyu ws considered a run away, she had left her home at the age of fiteen, in the middle of the night with a simple note. Since than? Even if they'd sent people to search for her, none had found her. Of course? With that new baby having been announced the day before shshe left, and thus taking her place as youngest in the village? She figured no one actually cared that she'd darted, besides they all had to see it coming, her being a trouble girl, with the way they always looked at her.

There had been a time when she could interact with everyone in her village and was so happy to live there. Once upon a time? She had tried her very best to be the best girl she could for them, however after her mother died? Everything changed for the young mage, and at the time she had not even been a mage, her mother refused to teach her magic... Kazehime always found it suspicious on the same day she died, after stating her daughter was too young for magic, she'd given her a book that taught magic.

"I Don't think I can understand her, so I think your still gonna have to show me around." She'd begun to play a little leess when her mind finally processed what sort of place this was. The magic energy in the building? Was off any conceration she'd ever stood in the pressence of before, sure she'd sensedddddd the conreationss of other guilds when she passed them; However Jiyu had never actually stood in one before, a blush coming to her face as she gasp and smiled, giggling about something they'd never understand.

Her mother had never been part of a Guild, if she wanted to become a better Mage than the pale woman, she'd have to do something her mother never did! "I definitely am going to need that tour from someone." the woman spoke up, beginning to button up her sweater as it might be a bit chilly in the hall for her, since she was not walking around at the moment. After she spoke, the female continued eating the raw meat she had.

Jiyu was right. Her hair was an entire rat's nest now that he was able to get a good look at the calico-haired woman. The knots in her hair that he saw deeply disturbed him, and he wanted to reach out and comb through it. By the looks of it though, there was absolutely no way that he could get a comb through that hair so easily. It would take him all day to even get a single knot out, but in all honesty, Marschal would literally sit there if he had to. At least it would be something entertaining for him to do, while everyone else was out of town doing jobs. Oftentimes, he got lonely here at the guild, especially if Iza was not around for him to pester and annoy when he was bored. So, Jiyu would have to be the replacement whenever he couldn't find his half-sister milling about the guild hall.

The new guild member would mention about going into the kitchen to grab something to eat, and that was the last he saw of her. His eyes would follow the retreating short form of the woman into the kitchen, but float over to Kistiñe, who had just exited. While he knew that had once been Tomás the Toucan, Marschal had barely ever talked with the former bird of paradise. So, he was quite unfamiliar with the fact that he had been turned into a woman just recently, and from what he could tell, he was not liking it. Shifting his position as the Spanish woman settled down at the table that Jiyu and he had been at, he'd look her over. Unfortunately, the male caught himself staring at the former male's breasts, which made everything that much worse for him. To know that she had once been a he, and he was now staring at her boobs, was the strangest outcome to have occurred for Marschal.

A heavy blush would fill his pale cheeks with color, and he looked away from the large cotton-robbed area of her chest. "Uh... how have you been, Kistiñe?" the mage inquired, though trying to keep his gaze away from the woman. He was only trying to make conversation while Jiyu was away and getting food for herself, but this was proving to be difficult. "I see that... uh..." Marschal couldn't finish his sentence, so he would quickly shut himself up and think of something else. His red and gold-flecked gaze shifted down to his clawed fingers, that were picking at the skin of another finger. Keep himself busy... keep himself busy, that's all that mattered, or he would be staring at the former toucan again. Marschy swallowed a lump down his throat, and just as he was about to look back at Kistiñe, Jiyu had graciously returned.

Quickly, his eyes would dart away from his guild mate to the new one, watching her carry out a plate of raw meat. At the sight of the bloody meat, Marschal ran his tongue over his lips and thought about stealing a piece or two. His eyes would go back to that mess of hair though, and the thought of meat soon slipped from his mind. He scooted over to Jiyu's side and lightly grabbed a chunk of the messy hair, looking it over with great disgust. "This will not do, never," the half-breed mumbled out, gently combing through her hair with the claws of his fingers. "Please, let me brush this hair... I cannot stand looking at this knotted mess that it has become... it has so much more potential." He wouldn't wait for permission though and calmly whipped out a brush, like he carried it with him wherever he went.

Quietly, the alcohol mage would run the brush through her hair, picking at the snarls until they started to come out. After a few moments of working on just one side though, Marschal would shift his gaze back to Kistiñe. "You ever brush hair before? Want to help me out with her hair? It could use the help in getting all smoothed out." He would watch the woman precariously, but soon turn his attention back to the bird's next of hair Jiyu had. "I don't know what you did, but you should really keep up with this hair of yours, or it just won't be as beautiful. I mean, look at mine, it's absolutely wondrous!" He would reach for his own hair then, running his claws through it. Though he would quickly return to brushing her hair, ignoring any groaning and threats that she would throw out at him.

Eventually, he was able to get that one side done, then moved to the backside of her hair, which looked like she just got out of bed. Marschal grimaced at the sight of the tangled mess of calico hair, and got off the bench to get a better view. He was bending over her now, a good sized chunk of her hair in his hand and began to brush that section of it. Marschy hummed quietly to himself, thinking of things that he could say to the two woman that were with him. Hell, it was like he had grown his own harem already, and he didn't have to get Kistiñe to sit by them.

"So, Jiyu, tell us a bit about yourself," Marschal finally decided on something to say to the new member of Black Rose. "Where do you come from? What kind of magic to do you have? Anything you want to know about either of us?"

He was giving her options to answer to or things to ask them if she didn't feel comfortable enough to answer the guideline questions he asked. Marschal was only curious to get to know the new member better, as he felt a subtle connection with the woman. "Hm... I suppose that I should that I came from Mountain Village... well, sort of... Mountain Village was my home. I have a few relatives in Peace Village as well, but I hardly ever go out there to see any of them, since most are dead. Uh... My magic is alcohol-based if you haven't already discovered that yet, and if any of you feel a bit woozy, I apologize for that. That's uh... my Intoxication Aura, that I, unfortunately don't know how to turn off, so you're stuck with the effects." After saying so much about himself, the young mage would pipe down and continue to silently brush Jiyu's hair.

Her guild mate's hypothesis on her level of enjoyment in being a woman was arguably incorrect. Obviously, there were some habits and behaviors that she would need to change, adopt, or remove entirely from her routine; new items of clothing to adjust to, and bodily functions that she did not have to experience before; but, she was grateful to be in some kind of human form. It was far from ideal, but she would make do with it and hope for the best. Arguably, it could even be said that she might end up enjoying herself more as a woman, but only time would tell if that proved to be the case. Looking up from a spoonful of soup, the Kistiñe noticed that Marschal's normally pale cheeks were flushed red with embarrassment, and couldn't but try to stifle a laugh.

It was odd to see Marschal appear as flustered and talkative as he was being at the moment. The Hispanic woman had always taken him to be the tall, dark, and brooding type given their...chilly interactions when she had been stuck as a bird. Was this simply a side of him that she had never seen due to always being out and about, or was it brought out only because she now had boobs and a pretty face? Regardless of what brought out this peculiar portion of the yokai's personality, Kistiñe found it rather amusing that he could not come up with enough material for a simple conversation without his eyes being drawn to her cleavage—when she had been a man, she had been able to keep a conversation rolling even if she had been partially distracted by a woman's chest. The thought tapped in the back of her mind that, perhaps, Marschal felt awkward because he knew that she had been a he earlier in life, but she was obviously far too tired to give it much attention.

“Come to my room later if you want more than a peek,” she said in her heavy accent, giving a tired chuckle before taking in another spoonful of soup. It was a bit odd to her that she was eating chicken, given that she had been a bird only until recently—for the first few days, she hardly ate anything but fruit and vegetables—but it seemed as though she had gotten over her inhibition just fine. Barring that, however, the soup was delicious.

The woman made no comment on Jiyu's statement as she sat down; she was used to those sorts of comments, and generally tried to ignore them. It didn't hurt an sense of self when people did, but it was better just to ignore them and move on, even if she was capable of speaking some English. Before anything else could be said to or by the new mage, Marschal—quite humorously—began to go on a small rant about Jiyu's hair; and, as the Latina looked at it for a moment, it did look quite ratty. And, although the other woman's hair did need a detailed combing, the tavern really didn't seem like the place to be doing it. Kistiñe almost burst out laughing when she saw Marschal pull out a brush and begin combing through Jiyu's messy hair.

“I'll watch,” she replied before going back to her soup. She knew how to brush hair—many times as a child she had to help her sister tame her head of long, fine black hair—but she was in no mood to act as someone's hairdresser, especially since she didn't even know Jiyu.

As she continued eating, she listened to the yokai share a little bit about himself while he brushed through the other woman's hair. It was interesting to hear about where he came from, what his family was like and such. Would it have been worth while to try and tell her own tale? Her lack of skill in the English language became readily apparent when it came to anything beyond small talk and flirting, making the task of talking about herself to someone who couldn't understand what she was saying nearly impossible. Maybe it would have paid off if she had paid attention in her studies at home—her father had tried to get the best language teachers money could buy, and she had actively skipped lessons whenever she was able. It was regretful in hindsight that she had only picked up enough active command of the English language to get a date in the bedroom, but her expression did not change from the curious, humored look that was present on her face.

Jiyu did not quiet personally consider it a rats nest, but she did know that keeping up on it was something she did very, very poorly. Considering the amount of paitence she had for doing things for herself, and such, well she had just quickly let it get out of hand and never got it back under control. Honestly? Her mother would likely be pissed if she saw the current state of her daughter's hair, considering how well the woman kept her own, and had upkept Jiyu's during her life.

Leigh was somewhat entertaining to Jiyu in just his mere existance, mostly because of those damn appealing neko ears. Honestly? She probaly would get caught staring at them several times, waiting for another oppertunity sometime in the future to play with them, Jiyu adored those things, they were so, well, they were new to her and amazing, she just wanted to reach out and touch them again. One of these days he'd just let her sit there and do that, Jiyu would make that happen somehow!

"What you want a piece kitty?" she noticed his small lick of the lips, and subtle stare towards her delicious plate of raw meat. Doing something like that opened the doors for her to fuck around with him, play around like she loved doing with people. Now that he'd stopped holding her hand and such, being mature? He was prey for her again, a gaint target sign, a war she would win.

Than Marschal just had to start touching her fucking hair, touched it, he was touching it! They would quickly find she had a tsundere tendacy to being touched if she had not instigated touching first, especially in a spot sacred as her hair! If her mother could no longer be the one to brush it out! No one in Peace Village had seriously challanged her issue with being touched after her mother's death, and no one had exactly tried to touch her since she ran away, now he'd touched her several times, without a direct prompt from her! Leigh would go down, he was gonna die, but of course those long slender clawed finger's, well they felt good and the sound from her throat confirmed that, especially as he took out a brush. Even if she was infuriated, the pleased canine sounds she made, contrasted the rage on her face!

"B-b-bastard! Um, alright, I'll take this off so the brush doesn't get caught on it." the female let her shoulders slack, the sweater falling easily since it was not buttoned up, chest bouncing slightly as she breathed heavily sighing with it. She was going to find some sort of way to get Leigh just as off his balance as she was by his invasion of her hair, no one had touched that since her mother died, no one besides herself, which was why it was such a mess! Finally she placed her sweater on her lap as she looked over at him

HE WAS SUCH AN EGOTSITICAL BASTARD!

"You actually mentioned my home, peace village, thought it's been two years since I was last there, I use wind magic." her heart stopped when he mentioned the village and having family there, what if they were related! Was he going to force her to go back home if he ever found out she could be considered a run away? Jiyu calmed down quickly thought, hopefully before her unease could be noticed.

Did he make some sort of habit, out of lying to innocent girls? He claimed that there was some sort of intoxication aura surrounding him, however she felt nothing whatsoever! Jiyu looked at him, cocking her head "I don't feel anythhing, must not be active right now," even if it was active, Jiyu would not be affected by it unless she was weakene, thought the  exhxcange for that could be quiet deep at times, they'd discover that when the next storm came calling and she lost her shit for no apparent reason.

Her eyes widened slightly as she heard the tanned woman speak some degree of english. Well hadn't' she made herself look like an utter bitch? Well it was not that bad in the end, she'd been under the impression that the other girl could not speak english, and it was useless to have someone giving her a tour whom she could not understand, so she was not so much a bitch as someone who was straight forward, yep that covered it, that was the prime way to consider this!
