Personality: Tomás is nothing short of a flirt. Before he was cursed to be the bird that he is, he had a weakness for the ladies and would even flirt with men on occasion. He was always moving from one lover to the next, never stayng with one partner long enough to form a relationship worth keeping and holding dear. That wasn't to say that he was cruel or uncaring to the numerous women he was with--many would recall that he was, despite his flirting, a rather courteous individual. He found it hard to stay committed to one woman long, and in the crowds he tended to find himself involved with the lack of commitment was mutual. Some may call him a womanizer, but in truth he moved from partner to partner so often because he was not finding what he was looking for. He is very talkative, and likes to move and make gestures while he speaks--something that has carried over into his existence as a bird. He cracks jokes about a myriad of things, but his most common subject is a particular long and yellow fruit. Underneath the exterior of a talkative flirt, however, lies a very different picture. He is very sensitive about how people see him. He doesn't want them to worry about him, or bother them with the weight of his own emotions. He would much rather be the person in the room to lighten the mood and try to cheer people up with a bright smile and a good joke than the one who is in need of such treatment, even though he is often the one person who needs it the most. He is highly embarrassed about his current state as a bird, as well as a bit regretful about he circumstances that brought about the transformation; as such, he usually brushes off his embarrassment with a joke or a good-natured crack at someone else's appearance. However, unless he is genuinely agitated at someone--a remarkable feat given his otherwise cheery outlook--these remarks are usually humorous and only intended to poke fun at his friends than to outright insult or demean them. Overall, he's nothing short of a flirtatious goof-ball.

Despite his willingness to listen to his friends, he is completely hopeless at being able to defend them in combat. In his current state, his only option for any real fighting is with magic; and, given his constant chasing of women before his transformation, his skills with magic currently are subpar at best, and atrocious at worst. As such, he often ends up taunting or making wise cracks at any enemies in hopes to create a distraction for his friends to either escape with or deal a damaging blow. Although he is not a particularly adept fighter, he has a sharp eye for oppurtinity--be it to save his own hide or to actually contribute to aiding in a battle. For all intents and purposes, however, he is a wimp by anyone's standard and a coward by the most judgemental.

Likes:

• He likes to make banana jokes. Lots of banana jokes.
  
• Although it may not be something he lets on about often, he does enjoy music enough to where he starts humming a tune or two here and there.
  
• Women, and occasionally men. Although he has more self control nowadays, he often flirts with either sex in good fun, either to make them uncomfortable or to legitimately try to woo them.
  

Dislikes:

• Given his poor fighting abilities, he has a dislike for violent conflicts.
  
• Although its not always obvious, he does dislike being stuck as a tropical bird, especially in winter.
  
• He dislikes people that always have to be around him, or are otherwise clingy.
  

Motivations:

• One of his biggest motivations at the moment is to find a way to return to his human form.
  
• Given his current state, he wants to be able to use magic more efficiently so that he might be able to actually help his friends.
  
• Although not an obvious motivation for someone so soft on the inside, a small part of him wants revenge on the former partner that had turned him into a bird.
  

Fears:

• His fragile bones mean that he's constantly worried about breaking something.
  
• An extension of the above mentioned fear, he is also highly afraid of pain.
  
• Spiders. The creepy-crawly things with eight eyes and eight legs....enough said.
  

General Appearance


Height: When he was a man, he stood at about 5'10"; in his current state, he is about two feet from the tip of his tail to the end of his beak.
Weight: As he currently stands, about a pound; as a human, he had been about 135 lbs.
Hair: Covered in black feathers all around, with white on the front of his neck; however, he used to have black hair as a human.
Eyes: As a human, they were brown; however, they are colored a rich blue nowadays.
Skin Tone: His skin used to be a light honey-brown, but is covered in black-blue and white feathers.
Appearance: In his current state, Tomás is a toucan. Aside from the tiny guild tattoo on his left talon, there is nothing exceptional about his appearance aside from being a particularly colorful tropical bird. His beak is bright orange, as well as the area surrounding his eyes, and his plummage is a simplistic black and white to emphasise his more colorful face. Before he was cursed by a particularly spiteful former girlfriend, he had been a rather good looking young foreigner. His skin had been baked by the tropical sun to a light honey color, his eyes were a rich brown, and his black hair had been a curly mop that covered his ears and forehead. On his face had been a neatly trimmed goatee and moustace, his overall appearance athletic but lightweight.
