    Job dets:

Lumina had been lounging about, she didn't know anyone here in Lamia Scale, she was to shy to just walk up and ask someone. After Eclipse Soul had disband she had been a bit lost for quite some time, not in the litaral sense but the figurative sense. She didn't know what to do with herself, everyone she knew had just up and left her in this strange world. Lumina chuckled, perhaps she was lost in both ways after all, she looked around the hall a bit. Catching sight of the job board she sighed again, perhaps a job could distract her. She walked over and looked over all the jobs, not much that peaked her intrest save one that required her to go into the forest, a place she was very happy to be. She pulled the notice from the board and read it over a bit, once she finished she was frowning a bit. She needed other people to come with, Lumina looked around the hall and saw a few people. She huffed to herself and mumbled about having to work with others, it was not that she didn't want to get to know them it was the fact she was afraid that when she did get to know them they would abandon her. Lumina sighed and sat down at a table, she didn't really know how to go about asking, she didn't want to seem to forward. She was a new member to the guild... and one of the most powerful... the last guild she had tried to join was nearly the same way. They had refused to do anything with her cause of it, something about wanting a challenge on jobs. Little did they know most of her magic was support based, she sighed as she looked around, she gathered her courage and stood up.

"Is anyone intrested in doing a job with me... i know im new but i want to help this guild." Lumina burned with embarresment as she started to talk again. "My magic is mostly support and i can be a asset to any team... and the guild... but only if you let me." Lumina blinked and sat back down, would anyone come to her aid? Lumina decided to eat something before she left and dug around in her pockets for a seed, she found a peach pit. She tossed it on the ground and knelt down, breathing on it the pit sprung to life, growing to the point it was giving off fruit. Lumina admired the new peach tree she had just grown on the spot, she reached up and picked a peach and started eating it.

    The Lamia Scale Guildhall.

Slightly damaged, the enormous marble building bore it's scars to all the world, it's inhabitants unashamed of their past. However, there were fewer members of the guild at this time as there were when the battle that made those scars occurred, meaning that these members would be in the minority in the future. One of those members, a certain gray haired mage, was sleeping in the guildhall's lounge.

Dmitry Kazakov was laid against one of the guilds marble walls, happily ignorant of all that occurred around him. At least, he was until someone decided to interrupt that bliss with an announcement, much to the spiritual medium's displeasure. A single, blue eye shot open, scanning the room for that which disturbed his slumber. Upon resting it's gaze on the newcomer that spoke up, the sky colored orb was followed by one of golden color in appraising the human alarm-clock.

"Yeesh, would ya keep it down a peg?" Dmitry complained, upset that such a good nap went to waste. "Some folks are tryin' to sleep here..." Having already been awoken, he got up and walked over to the girl and her tree. When he arrived, he grabbed a peach in his right hand and took the request form from Lumina with the other, making a snack of the fruit as he read the form. "Eh, I guess I could use the exercise. The money's not too bad either...Alright, let's go." With that, Dmitry walked out of the door of the guildhall, still eating the peach in his hand and not bothering to check whether or not he was being followed by the newer member. As he made his way through Hargeon, the spirit wielder began to notice some strange feedback he was getting from the red-haired girl, though he decided not to ask about it.

A train ride and some walking later, the two were making their way into the Phoenix Mountains, a place Dmitry felt quite comfortable in due to the abundance of natural spirit activity. Thankfully, this would make tracking the beast in the request that much easier, as something like that rarely goes unnoticed by the entities found in such a place. As he was about to ask the girl about her magic, he felt a very distinct and familiar presence.

"Aw shit, my boot's untied..." He said as he bent down, discreetly removing a knife from his boot. Dmitry stood up, turned, and flung the blade in one motion at a mage he hadn't seen in quite a while.

Post by Ninetails Derpfox 7th January 2016, 1:54 am

Niyol was flying over the Phoenix Mountains, inspecting the area to ascertain the quality of its inhabitants. This location was high in spiritual activity, even after his tribe had been almost entirely wiped out eleven years ago and he wanted to know why. He was soaring far higher than humans could see clearly, looking like little more than one of Fiore's many over sized fowl. His natural source of magic, souls, prevented other mages from sensing him. Most mages used ethernano, so they were sensitive to others who used the abundant source. However, Niyol uses the decayed souls of the dead to fuel his magic. This however still left an imprint, as where he walk the spirits, and souls seemed to react with other Spirit element mages in the vicinity if Niyol didn't try and hide his spiritual presence. Flying high, the spirit mage noticed a pair of souls moving across a path far below. Just as he appeared as a dot from below, they appeared as dots from above so he lowered his altitude enough to see them. It was then that he noticed one of the souls a familiar looking one. Niyol slowed down, falling behind the two and then lowered himself to the ground before dismissing his wings. Suddenly, a twinkle in the direction of the two revealed something flying at him. He put his hand up, having used the ample time to determine where the blade would hit he caught it in the slit between two fingers, though the blade still left a cut from where it hit the skin where the two fingers connected.

Niyol walked towards his... acquaintance with his signature cold, dead looking, dull, purple eyes fixated on the man. As he reached, Niyol handed the blade back to Dmitry while locking eyes with him. "I wish to have a word with you..." his voice was solemn, but strong. His eyes shifted slowly to the woman Dmitry was traveling with. "...After we are no longer in the company of one who should not be concerned with it." he stated. The blood that moves down Niyol's hand stopped before it could collect enough to make a drop to hit the ground, it then receded back into the cut which seemed to heal almost immediately. This was directly caused by the area... Niyol's connection to it had awoken someone who the world would rather stayed dormant. "Miss, I am Niyol. I wish to inquire the name of the beauty before me, if she would so grace me with such an amenity." he said while performing a polite bow.

Lumina was kinda annoyed that the man had just basicly blown her off after scolding her, how was she suppose to meet new people if she didn't try? Lumina ran to catch up with the man, she kept pace with the man, a scowl on her face the entire time. When the man stopped suddenly and claimed his boot is untied Lumina spoke. "What?!? no its not.... Oh" She frowned even more as the man attacked a new arrival. The new arrival simply caught the blade like it was no big deal, she was happy to see another person. That was until the man walked up and hit on her, her face had perked up a bit when he arrived but now had retuerned to a frown. She was not impressed by the man at all, her body launguage said as much, "Don't you humans have something better to do?" She didn't know it they were human or not but she didn't honestly care, in her mind and according to her instincts they were lesser. Not as being's mind you, but as possable mates, they were simply not up to par in her mind. She huffed and walked right past the man, she refused to speak a word to either of them until they reached their job location and even then she might be on the quiet side.

Lumina did however busy herself with checking out new plant life, it had been over 200 years since the last time she had been to the phoenix mountain, much of the plant life here had mutated in some way. Her way of checking out was odd though, she would looked at it, sniff it then eat it... roots and all. She didn't pay any mind to who or what was staring at her, simply running around like a child in a toy story... though it was odd to see a grown woman run around like that. After a bit she realized that neither of the men knew her name, she sighed to herself and ran up to the two. "by the way... my name is Lumina" She stated in a very matter of fact tone. "My magic is support based... er well alot so self support, but mostly support." Lumina frowned and walked off with out a further word. She didn't really think about talking to them to make some sort of stratigy, she was to excited to see all the new plants she could find. Alot of them had new tastes or colors, she wanted to take them all in but there were just so damn many.

Dmitry chuckled a bit at Niyol's introduction and Lumina's response, glad to see his old friend after such a long time.

"How's it hangin' Mopey?" He asked in a rather casual tone, as if he had never even thrown the knife. "Been too long buddy. As for us bein' alone, that's gonna take a while, seein' as how we gotta...what are we doin' again?" He trailed off a bit before grabbing taking another look at the job request, which he had stuffed into his coat pocket upon leaving the guildhall. "Oh yeah! We gotta chase down some magical horse that farts pixie dust or somethin'. Shouldn't be too tough, a thing like that's gonna leave a pretty huge spiritual footprint." It was around this point when Dmitry realized that Lumina had moved on, apparently upset at what Niyol had said to her.

"Whoa, wait up!" He shouted as he ran after her, completely missing her reason for storming off like that. "What's got your panties in a bind?" However, it seemed she wouldn't respond for most of the trip, so Dmitry gave up and chalked this one up to people skills. Deciding to bring his friend with them, he turned back and shouted at Niyol. "Yo, you might as well come with us on this one. Might even be able to speed things up."

As they continued on to the mountains, Dmitry kept the job form out so as to get up to speed on their task, reading it out loud so the new addition to the team could understand the objective as well. When they were well in to the range of peaks, he could feel the spiritual activity around him rise, allowing him a better glimpse of the world around him. As he sifted through all the new stimuli he was receiving, he tried to single out anything particularly note worthy. During this time, he ignored anything that was said to he, concentrating on his sixth sense. Soon he began to pick an unusual amount of activity centered around a particular area, deep within a patch of woods.

"Alright, I'm gettin' somethin' out of the ordinary in that direction." Dmitry said while pointing at the small, mountain forest. "Watch it while we're in there; the animals up here probably haven't seen people in decades, maybe centuries." Despite what he was saying, the wild-child grinned as he thought of the hunt to come...

Niyol kept a blank expression at the woman's unwelcome response. "Indeed" he replied to Dmitry pointing out it was a long time since their last meeting. "Tell me brother Kazakov... has that one always been such a self righteous bitch?" Niyol asked, ignoring the fact that he was called by a name he disliked. "On second thought, answer than when she isn't within hearing range. I prefer not to deal with nuisences in my current state. Now, what brings you here?" Niyol said, his question was to get off the topic that would surely leave an indecent taste in his pallet. The shirtless man listened to Dmitry's explanation, deciding it'd be best not to mention how close to home Niyol was. Then he watched as his newly dubbed brother went to go talk to the female of the group. Once his name was called, and he was invited to join the duo and officially make this a three some, Niyol sped up his walk just enough to arrive to not care for the magic that the girl claimed to use. 'Watch it while we're in there; the animals up here probably haven't seen people in decades, maybe centuries.' Dmitry said, immediately causing Niyol to correct him by saying "Eleven years." Niyol's eyes widened at him having hinted at knowing more about this place than should be known. A pair of black, feathered, bird like wings materialized from a shadowy energy around the man and began glowing a crimson color. "I shall scout from above, you can babysit the other outlander." Niyol blurted before rapidly flapping his wings and launching himself into the air. From there, the man would be able to spot any movements, and signal the others to where he saw it. Granted he knew Dmitry had his ravens, Huginn and Munnin for that reason, it gave the man a way to not be around the ill mannered outsider he was accompanied by. The man's eyes narrowed in on movement in the trees. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, so he didn't bother alerting the others, but went and dived down to investigate it himself. Whether or not the leaf sniffer, Lumina and Dmitry would come to see what Niyol was checking out was up to them. Once inside the tree line, Niyol kept his smallest blade, a wakazashi with strange powers, drawn in case he would have to fight off something that wasn't their target. These tight spaces made using his scythe a bad idea, and the soul mage didn't want to let Dmitry see the power of his newest addition to his arsenal.

Lumina just moved along as they walked she didn't stick to the path, her magic made is so she knew where she was or could find her way if she did end up getting lost. She moved into the woods looking for new things and stuff she could eat, this was when the roots of a tree rushed up and grabbed her. she let out a small scream as the plant grabbed her leg causing her to trip. Lumina turned and looked at the root, she gave it a very dirty look. "Why do you attack me?!?" Lumina snapped at the roots, they shirked back as if from a mothers scornful words. Lumina stood up and brushed herself off, she looked around a bit then sniffed the air, she could smell another being like herself. Lumina caught sight of a small creature trying to flee as it became clear that Lumina had more power over the plants then it did, Lumina remember what these things were. "Oooo a Pixie..." Lumina took off after it, not letting it get beyond her sense of smell. The Pixie quickly lost Lumina's scent and thought that she was safe, Lumina had the trees on her side so they told nothing of her approach. The little pixie was moving into a small tree that made up it home, when lumina snuck up behind her. "HEY! What was that for!?!"

The Little pixie jumped in fright and tried to take fly away, Lumina was to fast though, lashing forward and snatching the pixie out of the air. The Pixie squirmed and clawed at Lumina's hand. "Let me go! I did nothing!." The Pixie said as Lumina held the little thing to eye level. "Eep!" The red headed Pixie let out as she realized how close Lumina was.

"Why did you attack me little one?" Lumina repeated again, Lumina took this time to really look at the fairy. She was pleasant to look at, she wore a green dress which complimented her Red hair. Lumina narrowed her eyes that the cute little pixie.

"You humans are always here for the same reason." The Pixie glared at Lumina. "Your here to take the Houyhnhmn!"

Lumina cocked her head, "I am here to collect its pollen yes... something i can do by just getting close." Lumina used a spell to find both her allys and to look for the creature, her senses flooded out into the trees. She quickly found the other two mages, her body smiled as her sense gathered to return, she had caught a flash of the creature she had been looking for.  Her mind returned to her body she smiled at the Pixie. "Well then... I will make you a deal little one. You help me find it and i will promise you that i will do everything to keep the creature safe.

Having separated from Lumina as she seemed just as comfortable in this environment as he was, Dmitry was following Niyol's flight on foot. On his way to see what it was that his friend had landed to investigate, the gray-hair felt a chill go down his spine as he felt a familiar, yet unwanted presence in the general vicinity. Though he couldn't pinpoint where in the forest it was coming from, the amount of spirit in this place made it easy to tell what exactly it was.

"Ugh, pixies..." Yes, of all the things that were in this particular part of this particular forest in this particular mountain range, it had to be the one thing about the woods that Dmitry truly despised. Despite the fact that he himself was connected to nature and pixies are beings derived from the natural order, the medium hated them even more than he hated chickens. To him, they were obnoxious, cheeky, full of themselves, and seemed to show themselves for know other reason than to cause him trouble. Do to the fact that he was constantly surrounded by nature spirits, but was still human, pixies seemed to feel just comfortable enough to not be afraid of him while being just uncomfortable enough to dislike him. Hence they used to pick on him when he was a little kid.

Just as he was thinking back to those wretched times, he came across what appeared to be a game-trail sporting some mixed footprints. Dmitry bent down to take a look at them found some wolf prints among them, as well as some hair that was caught on a branch. Right around this time, he became alert as he just barely picked up some sound from around him.

"I invoke the Great Wolf..." Dmitry pupils took on the usual silver glow and his irises turned pitch black like always. He whispered so those around him would not realized he had caught them. "Hati!" A silver magic circle formed directly behind him, spawning forth a wolf twice the size of the ones surrounding the mage. Immediately, five timber wolves rushed from a wide area behind Dmitry, closing in fast on the two. However, Hati waited until they were just in front of him to burst forth like a shot out of a cannon and tore through the group as he went, circling back to leap out of the tree line and tackle one of the wolves as they were down. One managed to avoid the first attack and lunge straight for Dmitry, but the survivor had already drawn his knife, Dark Fang, allowing him to turn and plunge the blade into the animals neck. Upon removing the blade, he immediate lodged it into the back of the wolf's neck, twisting it after to ensure the vertebrae was fully severed.  The fight was still on however, as Hati tore open the throat of the wolf he had pinned to the ground and bitten in the chest already. The remaining three had now gotten back on their feet, albeit a bit winded from the earlier attack.

"Alright," Dmitry said while cracking his neck. "Let's get started."

Niyol watched from above, from the trees man... he saw as the annoying female outlander whom he had no immediate need for. He watched her go fool around with one of the fairies of this land, chasing after it when it obviously had no want to be near her. He also saw Dmitry, the more welcome of the two, as he began taking on a set of wolves. Niyol's eyes narrowed in on Hati, the enormous wolf that always accompanied Dmitry and then turned his attention away. "They have each other." he said softly while glaring at the ground. "It's been a while little Nii." a high pitched voice called from above him, causing Niyol to almost spin around and smash the damn pest into the tree for using that name. Niyol's fist clenched around the wakizashi tightly, his will forcing him not to smash the damn fairy as it began tugging at his hair. "Nii, why won't you talk?" it said. The small creature was barely audible for Niyol, so he knew none of the others could hear it. That flower sniffer down there could probably hear it somewhat, but Niyol knew from this distance there would be no signs of the sprite calling Niyol by name... ehh nickname.

Niyol's mind went back to when he'd met the small thing. He was only six, and the fairy was only three hundred winters old. It was wise, but playful in nature. It knew not to get too close to the tribe since the two of them were always weary. One mastered nature and enjoyed life, the other mastered finality. The summer that day was much cooler than the days before, the breeze filtered into the tribe and seemed to deliver a blessing in the form of a small, screaming butterfly... thing. Niyol was sitting at a lake that day fishing and enjoying not having to be at combat class. The day before he'd gotten the shit beat out of him, so the leader told him to take a day to relax a bit and let the fire of hatred die down a bit. Suddenly, something slammed his head and landed in the grass. Its wings snapped on his head, but due to how small it was Niyol couldn't find it among the blades of grass it landed in. Seeing nothing the young boy went back to fishing, a sullen expression on his face as he wished he were strong enough to stand up for himself.

"Nii!!!" the pest called, still tugging at his hair. Suddenly Niyol saw something flash in the distance and began quickly moving from tree to tree. He used agility to move from limb to limb in the direction he'd seen the movement. The small sprite let out a huff and began flying after Niyol.

Post by Lumina Rubyscale 25th January 2016, 9:03 am

Lumina looked at the fairy she had in her hands very intently, she was also a being of nature and she hoped that the fairy could sense that. The pixie shyed away at Lumina's insistant gaze, then nodded. "Fine... but you will make sure that no harm comes to it."

Lumina smiled, "I will do my best to fulfill that." Lumina opened her hand and held up one. "I'm Lumina by the way." Lumina smiled as she did. The little pixie looked at Lumina and cocked her head, then took Luminas finger in her hand. "See now that was not so hard was it?" Lumina turn around and started moving back towards the others, she knew Niyol was closer but he was in the trees and despite being a Rose Dragon... she sucked at climbing trees.

The little fairy followed, her wings keeping her at Lumina's shoulder level, a look of displesure on her face. She clearly felt like she had no choice but to help lumina, but that was not the case, lumina just sucked at explaining things. "Hey stupid... do you want my name?!?" Lumina stopped on a dime and spun around. "Erm..." the little thing was now nervious at lumina's sudden stop. "I-I'm Kukka." The little fairy said quietly.

"Kukka? hmm... thats a pretty name." Lumina grinned and spun around. "welp lets get going ok."

"Hold on..." The fairy called out stopping lumina before she could get two steps. "What are you? I felt you in the trees, and the forest is not hostile to you at all... very few humans can do this... and your clearly not a druid so don't claim that..." The little thing crossed her arms and glared at Lumina, clearly demanding a answer.

"What am i? thats... uh... a good question. To be honest I am not entirly sure what i am anymore... I think i was human once... but i don't feel the same... or at least i don't think i do." Lumina but a finger on her chin and thought for a second. "I... well spent about 200 years in a dragon's egg... a Rose Dragon egg..." Kukka's eyes went wide. "I... can feel my sister... like in my mind... when we are far away... from what i read its something akin to being twins... we... erm... share a soul?"

"Your claiming to share a soul with a Rose Dragon!?!" Kukka laughed. "You are bold or stupid or a bit of both." Kukka kept laughing until she caught sight of Lumina face... "Wait... your serious arent you?" Lumina nodded. "But... Rose Dragon's are extinct!"

Lumina shook her head. "No... not quite. Mayu is the last... er... Mayu and I are the last..." Lumina put her hands on her head rubbed them back and forth in frustration. "Damn it, i don't know how to explain it. I don't feel human deep down, i feel like something trapped in this body... Am i human? Maybe... do i feel human? no." Lumina huffed and motioned for the fairy to follow. "I don't know honestly Mayu is just as confused as I am."

Post by Benjamin 26th January 2016, 1:12 am

Hati took off after the wolf in the middle of the group, meeting it head on as they attempted to tackle one another. The result was spirit on top of the wolf as it tried to keep him back with a paw at it's throat, an effort that turned out to be vain in the end as Dmitry's mentor crushed said paw at the ankle with his jaws. As the right hand wolf turned to deal with Hati, leaping on to his back and attempting to bring the massive canine down, the left one charged for the Gray-hair himself. Just as the animal lunged through the air for Dmitry's throat, he fell back and raised his knife as he went down, plunging it into the wolf's chest as he hit the dirt. Naturally, the beast was stunned by this turn of events, not knowing what to do about the foreign object lodged underneath it's rib-cage. Not wasting any time, Dmitry rolled over on top of the wolf and removed the knife, raising it above his head after word and driving it into his prey's throat.

After ensuring that the blade reached the back of the it's neck, he flipped the weapon in the air, caught it by the blade, and flung it at the wolf on top of Hati. The blade hit the predator in the ribs, causing it to fall off the spirit's back just as he overpowered the animal beneath him, embedding his fangs into it's throat and twisting hard to break it's neck. When he released the corpse of his enemy, the other wolf had gotten to it's feet, still ready to fight against the those who wounded it. However, the injury it had sustained made it quite a bit slower and when it lunged for it's foe, Hati was easily able to grab it's neck mid-air and slam it against the ground, finishing it off with a quick jerk of it's neck.

It was obvious that these wolves hadn't seen human life in quite a while, leading them to attack Dmitry without the slightest fear of reprisal. As he removed his knife from one of the fallen hunters, he noticed Niyol's presence moving quite a bit all of a sudden. As for the new member of Lamia Scale, he couldn't seem to sense her, even out in these woods. No, it would be more accurate to say that he felt her even less in this forest than outside of them. It seemed that she had somehow blended into the spiritual backdrop of the place, as though she were another tree or bush. As such, Dmitry and Hati would just have to follow Niyol until he stopped moving about so much.

Tree limbs whipping past his face, creating small scratch marks as the soul mage flew through the canopies with the small, screaming thing following behind in an attempt to rekindle the minute bond they used to share. Niyol stopped as he saw a creature below, a type of simian that was carrying her young across. She had heard the wolves attacking something, and decided to use the momentary distraction to move safely across the land. Seeing this cause Niyol's face to grow softer, his mind focusing in on the young she was carrying. For Niyol, he held the highest degree of love for all those too young to know the world as it is. He relaxed his muscles just in time to feel something small impact his back, bouncing off and using her wings to keep from falling.

"Nii!!! You can't suddenly stop like that!" she screamed at him angrily. Niyol let out an exasperated sigh before turning his head, glaring at the creature with his dark purple, dull, dead looking eyes. The creature had a small chill run down her spine, her wings slowed down and landed on Niyol's shoulder. Though, she stayed on the far end of his shoulder instead of where she used to perch, right next to his head. "N-Nii... you're... you're giving me a scary look..." she said nervously. "Look Char... I do not wish to speak with you. I am no longer the child you once knew... I am hardly human at all." he said with an emotionless voice.

Char crossed her arms under her chest. "Humph! You always been sayin' that Nii-nii! You never thought you were human, and always bin so serious!" she said unhappily. Niyol's gratitude came from him being so far from the others, there was little chance either could hear that damned nickname being called out. "Do not address me as such." Niyol said coldly while scanning his surroundings. "No! I call you Nii-nii cause that's your name! I won't call you anything-" "My name is Chief Niyol, the one who saved your tiny life instead of letting you starve in that field as well as the Chief of Souls. I am directly telling you to address me as Niyol." he said with an irritated voice. "No. Your tribe is gone! You saving me was your fault, not my request! I'll call you whatever I want, Nii-NII!" the pest declared. Niyol ignored it and continued scanning about, looking for something that might be their target.

The little fairy blinked at Lumina, "your really not kidding are you..." Kukka huffed and flew over to Lumina, sitting on her shoulder. "how about this... I will believe you... for now anyways." The fairy poked Lumina in the face, "But you better not be lying to me."

"Thats fine!" Lumina started heading back towards her allys again, with a plus one. Lumina didn't really have any issue navigating the forest, she was one with it after all. It would not take to long for her to catch up, that is if she had not run into a hostile wild animal. Lumina was walking about when she heard some rustling to her right, she turned to see what it was only to have a wild boar charge out of the brush at her.Lumina jumped back planting her feet behind her, the thing was massive but she stopped it, meeting its charge with her own. they met in the middle, Kukka flying off into the trees with a screech of anger, Lumina slid back a bit but then was able to stop it. They strained against each other each trying to get the upper hand, at first it was looking like the boar would but then Lumina pivoted. This turned the boars head and shifted is momentum to the side, Lumina used this to throw it to it side. "Hey now piggy no need for that."

The boar scrambled to its feet and snorted at Lumina, pawing at the ground. Lumina cocked her head at the boar, she stepped back expecting the boar to charge again. Lumina didn't want to hurt it but if it was so intent on a fight she was willing to indulge it. The boar ran forward and attempted to gore Lumina but she rolled to the side, coming to her feet she rammed it in the side and slugged it as hard as she could. The boar recovered fast and spun catching her in the side with it head. She stumbled back as the Boar pushed forward and attempted to trample her. Lumina grabbed a tusk and pulled it head down, causing it to face plant into the ground though it still landed on her. They scrambled a bit before they both managed to get back on their feet again squaring off.

Kukka sat in a tree watching the two, a severe look of disinterested on her face. She honestly didn't know who to root for, the boar or the girl, she huffed as they met again exchanging a few more blows. She frowned and cupped her hand in front of her mouth, "Hurry up your taking forever."

    Meanwhile...

Dmitry and Hati were moving swiftly and quietly through the brush, careful not to attract anymore attention. However, it seemed that more wolves were moving into the area, though they hadn't quite noticed the mage and his mentor. It seemed that they were more concerned with some form of simian carrying her young, easy prey in these parts. While he would normally let nature take it's course, having so many wolves in the area would likely cause no end of problems. For one thing, it they would eventually sniff him out, leading to another fight where he didn't have the element of surprise. For another, having so many predators in the area would make their job a lot more difficult, likely scaring off this horse they were after. And finally, there was the presence he felt in a nearby tree, unmistakable in it's nature.

The medium sighed, knowing full well where this situation was headed, as he prepared to ambush the hunters that now circled the mama monkey. "I invoke the Twin Ravens: Huginn, Muninn." Whispering the incantation rather than shouting it like usual, Dmitry watched as the smoke-like birds flew up into the air above the wolves, undetected of course. Focusing his senses through the bond he and the spirits shared, he lined them up with largest wolf he could find. As soon as Dmitry broke out of the brush with Hati next to him, the ravens became a pair of knives that pierced the larger wolf in both of his sides before disappearing. Before it could recover, Hati slammed straight into and pinned it to the ground as Dmitry let loose a blast of darkness from his knife, Dark Fang, which crashed into another wolf, lifting off the ground. As the canine crashed into the dirt, the primate that had been targeted ran off with it's baby, escaping it's demise for today. While Hati was crushing the larynx of his foe between his teeth, the wolf that had been knocked into the air by the malevolence discharged from Dmitry's weapon ran off into the brush, likely to never bother the gray-hair again. However, the remaining three wolves charged the wolf spirit as it was finishing off his prey, biting into him at his throat, back, and hind leg. While Hati was quite tough, this much disruption of his physical form was too much for it to retain, causing him to disperse and leave Dmitry to fend off the remaining opponents by himself.

Post by Ninetails Derpfox 6th February 2016, 8:29 pm

Calamity erupted in the form of a group of wolves having targeted the mother and her child instead of charging for Dmitry or Lumina. Niyol remained in the tree as he noticed Dmitry charging in at the wolves, though he didn't exactly know why. What Niyol knew of the man was that he would allow the monkey to die, after all nature is a massive game of survival... the weak die, the strong live. That's how it goes, how it always has gone, and how it will always go. A moment of heroism for the grey haired man as he aided the wolf's target in her escape by using a combination of well orchestrated attacks from him and his summons. He saw three wolves charging in and immediately dropped down from his tree, standing tall and proud between the three wolves and his exposed ally. A dark blue aura appeared over his body as he glared at the creatures, causing all three to stop at once. Two of the wolves stepped back, knowing that Niyol wasn't someone they wanted to try and attack. While Dmitry controlled the spirits of nature, Niyol, or rather an aspect of him, was a part of the natural order itself. While Niyol hadn't known it, he represented death itself. He was a force of nature that was covered by the visage of a human, though, even he was not immune to himself.

Feeling rather full of itself, the one wolf that hadn't began backing up decided to charge alone at Niyol. After all, Niyol may be a force of nature, but he was also just a man. Niyol stepped aside nonchalantly and grabbed the wolf's hind leg as it passed him before yanking on it, first moving up, then moving forwards and down. The motion caused the wolf to be slammed on the ground, though, not hard enough to phase it too much. The wolf quickly latched onto Niyol's arm, and in turn the thumb on the hand of the opposing arm latched on the insides of the wolf's eyeball causing it to scream in pain. It released his arm, but Niyol refused to let it go, going so far as to send his thumb deeper into the socket as well as use the rest of the hand to grab the wolf's skull as it tried jerking away. The wolf stopped moving, hoping Niyol would become less vicious in his torture as the whining began. "When I release, if you attack, I will kill you." he said in a soft voice, knowing that the beast couldn't understand him. Regardless of the language barrier, he had a feeling the pack animal understood its position, and pulled his thumb out, causing a sucking sound to be made. The wolf backed away from Niyol and turned around as the other two of its comrades walked with it. Niyol turned to look at Dmitry just to see if he was okay. It was confirmed when Niyol noticed the grey mage looking just as ugly as ever.

Lumina was annoyed at Kukka's comment, she didn't really want to be fighting the boar. She kept her eyes on the boar as they squared off. Lumina huffed and ran forward, the boar did the same, she didn't meet it but instead jumped over it. as she jumped over it she pulled a seed from her pocket, she landed and spun. The boar had harder time coming to a stop, which was only compounded when Lumina used Strangle vines to tie him up, rooting him to the ground. Lumina dropped the seed right underneath the boar which stopped it completely, Lumina sighed as she straighted up and walked around the boar.

    "Stop it..."

Lumina thumped the boar on the head, causing it to let out what Lumina figured was a confused squeal. Lumina leaned down so that she was eye to eye with it and held up her finger.

"I am not your enemy piggy... but if you push my i will make you my meal."

Lumina flared her power as she spoke, making her position as a predator very clear. She was a Dragon... or something akin to one anyways, fighting her would simply end in the boars death. The boar stopped struggling as much and gave a urking noise, Lumina smiled and patted it on the head.

"See now that was not hard... Plus i have no intention of harming anything of yours, I am simply passing through. Now I'm going to go and your not going to follow... or your dinner got me."

Lumina straightened and put her hand on the vines, making it so they would not hurt the boar. Lumina gave a yawn and walked off in the direction she had sensed her ally's, Kukka flew over and landed on her shoulder.

"Alright fine... I believe you now... any other human would have killed that boar."

Kukka put her hand on Lumina's ear and sat down on her shoulder, she huffed and looked around as Lumina walked. She was amazed that the forest didn't react to her, it was like this woman was apart of nature. Kukka looked at the woman and studied her, she claimed to be a Rose Dragon, a creature from the long distant past that was hunted into oblivion by the humans. She knew of Rose Dragons, they were tied to nature in a way greater than any dragon existed, to the point that their blood could restore a lands fertility. But they were suppose to be extinct... yet here she was, attached to nature in a way that Kukka could not understand.

Post by Benjamin 18th February 2016, 8:06 pm

"Hey, don't gimme that look, mopey." Dmitry said, a little sick of this job already, even if it did have him in his ideal environment. "You know we weren't gonna get anywhere tracking that horse if those wolves stuck around, so don't start givin' me crap." It was at this point that the mage noticed the pixie that had been following his dark and gloomy friend, causing his face to sour and sigh to escape his lips. "Look, if you want that little rat with wings to live, keep it away from me, okay?" With that, he promptly turned on his heal and headed deeper in the forest, hoping the commotion didn't throw the spirits off too much for him to track their target.

Thankfully, he could feel the presence of something unusual in the forest, though it seemed to be moving away from them. "C'mon, it's on the move." He beckoned to Niyol, intent on finishing this as fast as he could. "You see anything while you were up there, monkey boy?" He asked while he kept moving, knowing full well that the horse was too far away to hear them. In truth, they had some serious ground to cover close the distance, making it a bit better if they moved together to avoid incidents like earlier. "I know you can see stuff most folks can't and I can't pinpoint anything with my spirit sense, so we might need that sight of your's to catch this thing." Still, he thought that he would have found more traces of the beast than he had so far, something like that seemingly hard to miss. But he was no stranger to hunting and he could track prey with the best of them, so he wasn't about to lose this one if he could help it.

As he was having this thought, Dmitry felt a strange tremor in the spiritual activity of the forest, somewhat different from the one he was feeling in the distance. Considering that he hadn't gotten close to the horse as of yet and had no idea what kind of presence it actually held or what it was capable of, he couldn't be sure which was the creature they were after. Not only that, but the disturbance was directly in front of them, making it unlikely that they wouldn't make contact. As Dmitry continued onward, a boar came running in his direction, causing him to leap out of the way lest he be run though. Surprisingly, it didn't turn around to face him, avoiding Niyol and veering off into the forest instead. Now curious, the mage pressed into the direction the swine came from, only to come across his wayward guildmate and yet another pixie.

"What, are you guys collecting these things or something?"

((Exchanging the 2x Normal for 4x Weak))

Niyol's expression hadn't changed from its usual when Dmitry began getting defensive. He hadn't realized that looking at Dmitry was warrant for that kind of reaction, and didn't bother with giving it a response. The grey haired man went and started heading off after saying their target's on the move. Niyol moved behind Dmitry and equal speed, saying "Your target isn't fleeing from the wolves. There is something I wish to speak with you about... something which your target is fleeing from." Niyol said calmly, his cold, dull, dead looking, dark purple eyes showing not the slightest amount of emotion that someone could use to judge urgency with.

The two had stopped at a clearing where Dmitry commented on the single pixie accompanying Lumina. Meanwhile the one accompanying Niyol had gave a tug at his hair to catch his attention. "Umm... Nii... we have a problem..." she said nervously while looking off to the shirtless mage's right. Niyol turned and saw four fairies standing before them. They were betwee four and five feet tall individually, wearing the same outfits any normal fairy would... but these ones were altered horrifically. "M-Mister Kazakov... about that business I have with you..." Niyol said with a slightly shaken voice. The fairies had rotting parts on their bodies, black blood pouring from their crimson eyes and puss dripping from their teeth. Their clothes were ripped, and where normal nails should have been, there were six inch long black claws. While breathing, a strange dark blue mist emitted like puffs of frozen humidity in the silent glaciers. Suriel, the fairy that was seated on Niyol's shoulder moments before, glowed brightly and appeared next to Niyol in a much larger form. She was five foot, four inches tall and wielding a sword and shield that both resembled leaves. Her green hair flickered as she began emitting an immense amount of power, causing Niyol to feel somewhat impressed at how much stronger she'd gotten. Niyol drew both his blades without trying to reason with the four undead fairies. "Don't bother trying to keep them alive. They no longer have souls, so they will kill mercilessly." he said as a word of advise to his allies.

One of the creatures flew at Niyol, the other at Suriel. Both used their massive claws while shouting a horrible, high pitched, scratchy howl of rage at them. Niyol, who normally could take a hit, was sent flying back with his exposed heels digging into the ground while using the Thorn of Betrayal to block his attacker. Suriel got low to the ground while using her leaf like shield to block, and being sent sliding back as well. The strength of the creatures rivaled the strongest mages, showing that whatever plague was effecting them allowed the being to utilize every drop of strength their muscles held and then some more.

Lumina had just about made it to her allys when three creatures devoided of life jetted into the area they were, screeching like banshees. Kukku screamed in fear as Lumina jumped back to avoid their attacks, Lumina landed hard only to have to move again as they pursued her. Lumina didn't know what undead where doing in the forest but it was not natural, Lumina didn't know where they were coming from but she had to find out and deal with it.

"Kukka where are they coming from? Do you know!?!"

Lumina stepped aside as one of the fairys attacked her, Lumina reached up and grabbed the fairy and threw her at a tree with all her might. Sadly this got her hit by one of the other undead, she felt its claws cut into her flesh. Lumina barely felt a thing, she didn't have a problem with the undead, she had a problem when they were mindless. Lumina spun, leading with her fist and slugged the offending undead with all her might. The small undead was thrown backwards into the bushes, Lumina heart the beating of wings to her right. She didn't even turn to look at the undead as it flew at her howling again, Lumina simpy caught it and held it in front of her. Kukka let out a small shriek.

    "Ulia! but how!"

Lumina didn't hear the little fairy, whom had been struggling to keep on her should, speak. Lumina simply started crushing the undead, her face showed the anger she currently held onto.  Mindless undead were something that human mages often made for nefarious purposes , she would set the soul of this fairy free and destroy its body so it could not be used again. The Undead in her hand clawed and bit at her hand trying to free itself, Lumina increased the pressure of her grip causing the Undead to let out a shriek of pain or perhaps it was frustration. Lumina used her other hand and grabbed the upper half of the undead and pulled it apart. It was a grizzly sight to see as Lumina discarded the two halves of the now dead fairy. Lumina glanced to the side to Kukka who sat in horror as the remains of her friend fell to the ground in a bloody pulpy mess.

"I'm sorry Kukka... Destruction of the body it the easiest way to deal with the undead."

Lumina streached as she saw the other two undead come rushing back into the clearing, their bodys broken from the blows. Lumina frowned and prepared for combat, Kukka sobbing on her shoulder.

Dmitry suddenly sensed something repugnant as Niyol mentioned something about business, ignoring his friend and preparing to fight. "I invoke the Swift Hawk..." he whispered, not wanting to set these things off. As they shrieked and flew into battle, a silver magic circle appeared to the right of Dmitry, smoke converging on the spot. "...Vedfolnir!" At the call of it's name, a smoke-like bird of prey burst upward from the circle just as the 'fairy' that had attacked Niyol's little companion was flying over top of it, grabbing it's skull with it's talons and and ramming it into a tree at high speed. Dazed from the sudden head trauma, the little flying zombie couldn't react in time to stop another fly-by, courtesy of the Swift Hawk who tore off one of the disgusting creature's legs this time. Now fully aware of the threat against it, the fairy flew off towards Vedfolnir and the two proceeded to do battle in the sky.

    Meanwhile...

Noticing that one of the more battered creatures that had attacked Lumina was now coming his way, Dmitry dropped to the ground and let it pass over head by it's own momentum. After his head space was clear of any and all undead, the medium drew the knife tucked into his boot again, sprung back up, and slashed across the fairy's wings. Upon that slash, Dmitry seemed to vanish, appearing to the right of the zombie and slicing off an arm, then appearing to the left and taking another, and finally appearing in front before driving the blade into the enemy's skull. Just as the creature began to squirm, despite it's brain cavity being pierced, the mage activated the curse on his blade and unleashed a blast of darkness from within the fairy's head, naturally destroying it.

    Back in the skies above...

The undead fairy, having finally caught up with Vedfolnir, moved in to slash it with its claws. In response, the bird immediately spread open it's wings and slowed it's flight by half and dropped a bit, causing the zombie to pass over top of it in similar fashion to its medium. After it was behind the creature, Vedfolnir immediately flapped it's wings and sped up again, raking its talons again't its enemy's wings as it passed by. As the fairy began falling back to earth again, Vedfolnir turned about and began flying at the speed of a bullet before slamming into the zombie, driving it towards Dmitry, Niyol, and the still living fairy next to them. As they neared the tree line, the force of the spirit's charge tore clean through the creature's abdomen, splitting it in two as it's halves landing in front of the fairy, it's upper half sliding to a halt in front of her feat.

As Vedfolnir corrected its trajectory and returned to Dmitry's shoulder, the still moving upper half of the zombie continued to crawl.

((Due to me being horrible with names I'm renaming my fairy Aria considering as what my alt's pet's name already is...))

Niyol and Aria were split up by the two enemies, both of them overwhelmingly strong. On Niyol's end, a bead of sweat formed as he realized that Dmitry's presence only served to force him to hold back. While the other spirit mage wasn't particularly spiteful of Niyol, he knew for a fact that showing too much power around anyone could make them rather cautious of them. Then there was the other one... the outlander who had very few social skills compared to the shut-in mage known as Dmitry Kazakov. She was someone Niyol had no prior knowledge of her, making her an unknown, which also made her a major liability. Unleashing Tamashi Reitoko in front either of them could turn out to be a catastrophic idea provided they weren't completely screwed. Niyol would imagine had they been surrounded, or completely overpowered by an enemy then neither would have an issue with him using it, but right now, even though these were powerful enemies, he knew there would be problems if he didn't restrain himself. Niyol dug his heels into the ground, ignoring the burning sensation from skin on dirt and being thankful that logic prevented his flesh from ripping off. The blades he wielded took on a type of dark glow, blue mixed with black before a wave of energy was released. It didn't hurt the undead thing, but it did cause it to reel back slightly, having a portion of its soul linked with Niyol's while he siphoned it out. A set of vines rose from the ground, wrapping themselves around the enemy Aria was facing before tossing it across the way and into a tree. The creature, flopping to the floor first, slowly got up while making a type of shrieking sound. It charged Aria, but was caught by another set of vines before an extra one shot straight through its head, the undead fairy went limp. The vines holding it returned to the ground and the fairy hit the floor, the vine in its brain remained. Aria turned to see Niyol, knowing that these would be no challenge for him. While he was a child, he was god awful at fighting, but he was smart and knew how to use the terrain to wear down his enemy which in turn, made them worse fighters than him. It was to her surprise to actually see him wielding a sword, well... two of them, but it made her want to see just how much better he'd gotten at using them.
