    Magic

    Caster or Holder: Caster
    Description: Throughout her life, Reyna H. Basterbine has acquired a number of legendary weapons once thought to be lost. She can access these weapons by summoning them from a pocket dimension (referred to as "the Cage") at any time. These weapons, while once mythical in nature, are brought to bear beneath the weight of her considerable magical power and channel the hunger of her soul.

    Strengths:

    • Multi-facted - Reyna's list of weapons allow her to fight a multitude of magic users.
    • Nullifiers - Reyna's weapons nullify incoming enemy magic by absorbing their magical energy and pushing it deep into Reyna's soul.
    • Refractory - Reyna disperses enemy spells by attacking an incoming projectile or spell with her weapon; in most cases, the weapon simply drinks up nearby magical energy and channels it through Reyna, empowering her. An example might be catching a Fire Dragon's Claw with a downward swing of an axe, nullifying the magic.


    Weaknesses:

    • A Universal Cooldown - When Reyna summons any of her weapons, all of her active spells go on cooldown immediately. This is to prevent her from summoning multiple weapons.
    • A Short Term Solution - Reyna cannot have a single weapon out for more than 3 turns, and she cannot unequip her weapons before their summon duration is up. If she pulls out a weapon capable of dealing with fire users against a water user or against multiple foes, she is stuck with it until her summoning spell expires.
    • A Strong Defense - Reyna's D-B spells have no offensive applications other than being weapons. Certain weapons (at higher ranks) may have minor offensive uses.
    • Balance in All Things -  Reyna cannot take advantage of the elemental system when damaging opponents. She is considered “balanced” against all kinds of magic.
    • Not That Multifaceted - Reyna may only carry 8 weapons in her cabinet at any given time. These must be listed at the beginning of every thread.


    Lineage: Feeling Empty
    Description: A thousand years or two ago, a small little village was struck with a horrible curse by a power-hungry demon, each inhabitant losing half of their soul to the demon. No one saved them. The Magic Council, the freelance mages, the guilds and even the dark guilds did not dare to go near them, for with their half of their souls gone, the forbidden Container of magic power known as the Second Origin within each of them was left wide open like a black hole and whenever they got close to magic, magic was drawn towards them, absorbed by the empty half of their soul. As a result, ostracized by the magic-dominated world, they were cordoned off from the world like a disease, left in their shell of a village to rot. However, they strove to live despite this predicament and they did. Eventually, history forgot their 'crimes' and the descendants of these villagers were let out into the world, still holding the diluted version of the curse within them.

    Ability: The user's missing half of their soul has resulted in the opening of their Second Origin, the secret container of magic that very few mages get the chance to access. However, unlike its original purpose, having being opened since the user's birth, the Second Origin is empty, and hungry. It is like a black hole for magic energy, though not as potent as its original, but still useful in your fights, for if your opponent manages to smack you with a spell, don't worry about the injuries, you can catch some of their magic energy away for your own usage.

    Usage: This is a passive lineage that is open all the time and possesses no other weakness other than that it will only work when you get damaged by a spell. When its effect is activated, the Second Origin vessel will retain the magic energy smacked into you, converting it into energy that you can use for your own spells. The amount of energy gained depends on the Slayer Recovery Magic Power system.

    Unique Abilities:

    • Powerthirst - Reyna has a 5% chance to absorb incoming enemy magic (a la her Lineage ability) when deflecting enemy spells or nullifying them.
    • The Benefit of Experience - Reyna can summon her weapons while on the move, granting her an obvious advantage in combat.
    • A Face to Die For - When Reyna goes down in combat, her allies get a +10% damage boost to all offensive spells and attacks.

      Spells:
      Name: Cabal’s Trident
      Rank: D
      Type: Spell Weapon
      Duration: 3 Turns
      Cooldown: 4 Turns
      Description: Reyna extends her hand to draw a weapon from the Cage with which to do combat. From within the murky depths of its magical maw, she withdraws the legendary weapon known as Cabal’s Trident! Cabal’s Trident is a long, golden fork capable of absorbing offensive D-Rank water magic.

      Strengths:

      • Passive Maw of Malmortius - Cabal’s Trident adds .5% to Reyna’s MP regen while active.
      • Active: Tidecaller - Capable of nullifying one D-Rank offensive water spell every time it is summoned.
      • Cabal’s Trident is capable of defending Reyna from Water based attacks.



      Weaknesses:

      • Cabal’s Trident leaves Reyna open to attacks from every other type of magic except for Requip, which... she would just defend against normally, since she has a weapon.
      • Cabal’s Trident puts all other spells on cooldown.
      • Cabal’s Trident has no offensive active ability, making it an almost purely defensive weapon.


      Name: Fangborn Rapier
      Rank: D
      Type: Spell Weapon

      Cooldown: 4 Posts
      Description: Reyna reaches into the abyss of the Cage to withdraw a new weapon! From within its confines, she pulls out the Fangborn Rapier! Summoned in a flash of light and sparks, the Fangborn Rapier is capable of drinking living lightning and nullifying lightning/thunder based D-Rank magic attacks. Taking the form of a thin fencing saber, the Fangborn Rapier crackles with latent electricity.
      Active: Riposte - Reyna can use the Fangborn Rapier to deflect two D-Rank lightning based attacks per summon.
      Passive: Electric Slide - Reyna’s normal damage with the Fangborn Rapier will be overridden if she has absorbed a spell using her lineage ability, instead dealing damage equal to D-Rank + 2 in Lightning Magic.

      Strengths:

      • Being a Spell Weapon, the Fangborn Rapier has an active and a passive.
      • The Fangborn Rapier can deflect D-Rank Lightning Magic abilities.
      • This Spell Weapon synergizes very well with Reyna’s Lineage.

      Weaknesses:

      • The Fangborn Rapier is a short-range weapon, requiring Reyna to close the gap or otherwise use more finesse than usual when dealing with both offensive magic and actually attacking.
      • The Fangborn Rapier has a 10% chance to cause 2 damage to Reyna when she reflects an attack, which does not affect her Lineage passive or activate it.
      • The Fangborn Rapier cannot use its passive against Wind Magic users, even if it has absorbed a Lightning Magic attack recently or Reyna’s Lineage passive has been triggered.
      • The Fangborn Rapier takes up 2 slots in the Cabinet instead of 1.


      Name: Spirithook
      Rank: D-Rank
      Type: Spell Weapon
      Duration: 3 Turns
      Cooldown: 4 Turns
      Description: By bringing her left hand into the air, Reyna conjures a wreath of flickering light at the ends of her fingertips. From within its glow, a menacing, bronzed blade with a gnarled handle descends into her grip and hums like singing steel. The last remnant of a dynasty long since toppled, the Spirithook liberates Reyna from all earthly tethers and bindings, freeing her to wreak havoc upon the battlefield.
      Active: Cleanse - The Spirithook can be activated once to remove all active D-Rank CC from Reyna. Cannot be used on CC above her own Rank or CC above D-Rank.
      Passive: Soulbind - Reyna's weapons do 5% more damage (rounded up) after the Spirithook has been summoned in combat.

      Strengths:

      • Cleanses Reyna of active/stacked CC. This is a pretty big strength.
      • Buffs Reyna's other weapons slightly after summoning this.
      • Since it's a spell weapon, it has an active and a passive.

      Weaknesses:

      • Can only be summoned once per battle/thread.
      • Must be used first to get the most use out of its buffing effect.
      • Cannot be used to avoid CC, only to nullify it. The CC still has to hit.
      • Cannot be used on allies.
      • Costs +10% MP to summon.


      Name: Axe of the Majesty
      Rank: D-Rank
      Type: Spell Weapon
      Duration: 3 Turns
      Cooldown: 4 Turns
      Description: By lifting her right hand into the air, Reyna summons a winding tangle of vines that run rampant down the length of her arm, swallowing it down to the elbow. Within the confines of her palm, a hilt blooms and spreads, growing nefarious teeth made of sharp stone and cracked rock. Bits of the weapon's macabre edge crumble away at the edges, but the axe itself refuses to be whittled down. Once belonging to an ancient chieftain, the Axe of the Majesty now serves Reyna.
      Active: Breaker - The Axe of the Majesty is capable of nullifying or deflecting incoming enemy D-Rank offensive spells that fall under Earth-type magic, like Wood and Rock.
      Passive: Blessings of the Earth - Grants Reyna a 1 HP buffer against all incoming attacks while the Axe of the Majesty is equipped.

      Strengths:

      • Spell Weapon, so it has an active and a passive.
      • Synergizes well with Reyna's passive, granting her a damage buffer with which to utilize her Lineage.
      • Strongest defensive weapon in Reyna's arsenal.

      Weaknesses:

      • The Axe of the Majesty has a 10% chance of crumbling away when used offensively.
      • The Axe of the Majesty deals 80% damage (rounded down) when used offensively, because of its hefty weight and Reyna's inability to properly wield it.
      • The Axe of the Majesty is a defensive weapon, almost like armor, and grants Reyna no extra offensive capability.
