Restaurant Funtimes (Opeeeeeeeen Miki/Shinji/Tegaal intro)

[8:00 PM, The Briny Flagon, near BR guild hall]
Miki let out a tiny, nervous hiccup as she gazed up at the sign in front of the seafood place, doe-eyed and with many a grumble in her tummy. She huffed a little, peeking into her tiny bag of jewels and squinting, knowing that this much money would barely cover anything for her, let alone her equally hungry pet. The furry companion in question was a tiny infant panther that she had found injured out in the woods several days ago, and she had been tending to the poor thing ever since. "Hmmp...well, I guess we'd better head on in, huh..." she squeaked out loud to herself, eventually giving a (supposedly) confidence boosting stomp and pushing the door open with a creak.

Once inside, Miki was immediately reassured about her decision to try this place out. It was packed to the brim, with loud and festive music bouncing around every crevice of the restaurant. It was clearly a tavern, meant for older patrons, but Miki either didn't realize or care. She was hungry, and that was all that mattered. With a huge grin spreading across her face as she took in the atmosphere, the sprightly little one bounded up to the front counter and, with much effort, crawled her tiny self up onto one of the stools and waited to be served. While she waited, she idly swung her feet and gently stroked her still unnamed panther cub, eyes eagerly darting around the room on the lookout for anybody interesting.

"We'll be fine. We're getting food anyway... We're not doing any harm..."
The two little adventurers were whispering to each other. Shinji, the tired character, was wearing a hoodie with Jojo, the equally tired companion, inside the hood's inner pocket. The two had been together ever since Shinji had saved Jojo from a group of mage still believing the lies of the Exceeds and that had planned to kill the very frightened and confused Exceed. Ever since that day, the stuck together for years traveling around to find a home or at least shelter. They continued to have very little luck. Shinji would open the door casually and walk into the tavern, hoping for his best to not get kicked out again. Shinji would then head for the stool and climb up to sit on it.
"You still gonna stay in there?? You might spill your food."
I'd rather avoid attention than worry about my transportation.
After a bit of sitting, Shinji would put his head down to rest a bit with the mint bunny crawling further in the hood and make comfort in the warm clothing
"How much longer do I have to suffer until we can sleep on an actual matress for more than one day..."
Shinji would mumble this before closing his eyes. He was tired, but he couldn't sleep due to the fear of getting in trouble and getting kicked again...

Tegaal had entered the Briny Flagon earlier, contemplating on his terrible luck. He wore nothing fancy. A raggedy loosely fitting green tank top, a baggy pair of dark grey cloth pants tucked into his beat up boots. He looked like a bum. Sitting at the bar he checked his pockets, disappointed but not surprised at what they contained. He had money but not enough to eat and find a place to sleep. He would have to choose one over the other, and the rumbling in his stomach seemed to be winning. It was a tough choice, Tegaal felt like he had been making the decision for hours.

When he finally made up his mind, he opened his mouth to order. "I'd li- " Tegaal cut himself off turning to a child, who had similarly colored hair to him. The boy was mumbling to himself, something about wanting to sleep. Tegaal gave the boy a once over, realizing the child was probably in a similar situation to himself. He didn't want to intrude or sound nosy, but he was in a tight spot as well, so maybe this could work out for the both of them.

He nudged the boy with his elbow, looking at him sideways as he did so. "You look terrible!' He said, managing to not sound unfriendly. "You look tired. This might come across as weird, but d'you want to split the cost of a room?" Tegaal now fully turned to look at the boy. "Don't quite have enough myself . . . but together . . ." He trailed off letting the child fill in the rest.

Aether made an audibly muffled sigh with a hint of groaning through his permanently grinning mask as he walked through the back door of the tavern in a slouched position, no doubt not wishing that he had to take on a part time job within a quite loud establishment but the guild wouldn’t allow him to continue his research or keep his lab if he didn’t have the jewel to pay for it and the most recent jobs he had taken didn’t exactly have much of a payoff, and after a lot of complaining from Anima he finally managed to find a place that managed to have a position open for one decent chef and one golem. Anima stepped in behind him, having to crouch down to even fit through the door, quickly moving to catch Aether by his baggy clothes between two large metallic fingers to steady him with a slight grin on his glowing face.

Sighing again Aether changed quickly into a bartenders uniform and stepped out to take his shift behind the counter, tapping the current bartender on the shoulder as Anima began to serve a small girl on the direct opposite side of the counter who seemed to have a slightly confused and shocked face upon seeing the behemoth, though he took it with a smile, he was used to getting these looks now. Aether took at least 3 orders before he noticed two tufts of white hair just barely sticking their heads over to see what sort of drinks they could order, one had his arm raised and the other had his head on the table and eyes closed. They both seemed too young to be in an establishment such as the tavern though from what he heard from the boy with his head down they might be orphans or something of the sort. Sighing to himself he approached the young lads and set his pale hand down between them and speaking up in a muffled voice. “Aren’t you a little too young to be in a place like this?”
