It was his motive to snare that blonde-haired fool into the main hall after stealing his final bottle of wine. The containment was barely half full as he urged his figure lazily against one of the wooden tables - mildly twirling the cool glass in rythmic cirles, observing the liquid that pursued in desperate beat.

Wine was a common beverage served among royalty, and quite honestly, the Magi had learnt to grow genuinely accustomed to its bitter taste and irrelevant effects. Never caring to comprehend why people were so fond of these drinks when all they did was scorch your throat, was the one reason why he would sit and perplex how humans could become so consumed with the feeling. Just. Like. Gil. The numerous times he had seen him was when he always seemed to be drinking. Squinting down on everybody like vulgar insects whilst he, himself, strayed away from the scene in muted laughter. Hah. He chuckled briefly just reflecting on it.

But, his curiousity was routed toward the wine, twisting the cap off and hoisting it toward his lips as he downed the rest of it, emerging with discomfort in his sudden coughing as he placed the now empty wine bottle back onto the table. An odd feeling came across him, one slender hand situated against his forehead as he sensed a daze nearing, his teeth grinding together. Ah, yes, that was also why he loathed alcohol.. It was simply because he could never hold it.

    ► Gil Vessalius
    595 Words
    @Thieving Scoundrel
Gil Vessalius had started his day off like he would any other day. He had no reason to suspect that his day would be ruined by a certain thieving guildmate. After all, who would dare come to his room and touch his things. His room was outside of the main castle and rested out in the empty bleach white city that was the home of Tartarus. The said room was lavish and filled with expensive items that screamed luxury. It wasn't a particularly well guarded abode seeing as Gil figured his mere presence was enough to scare anyone out of visiting his living quarters let alone actually taking something of his. However, it seemed that was not the case. The first few hours of the morning were spent sleeping, seeing as the blonde needed his beauty sleep. The sleeping princess was a heavy sleeper, which unfortunately lead the man to believe that was when a certain guildmate had struck, at some hour of the morning while Gil was still in a deep slumber. At some point as usual to his routine, Gil would wake up but not get out of bed quite yet. Generally, speaking the cat like man awoke just as the sun reached his bed allowing him to bathe in the warm glow. Typically, this is when Gil would have had his morning glass of wine. However, there was not a single bottle of wine in his room. "It was here last night. I still had half a bottle left." He mused grumpily as his crimson eyes searched the room for the elusive bottle. It wasn't his bottle but rather a bottle that he himself had stolen from the cellar beneath the castle but that didn't matter to the blonde. Even more odd was the fact that his door was left wide open, something that also was out of place. It took a few brief groggy moments for Gil to formulate an idea as to what could have happened but when he did he was pissed.

    "NAI!"

    ~*~

His raven haired guildmate often took the blame for anything and everything that ever went wrong in Gil's life. It seemed that the feminine man just had a way of rubbing Gil the wrong way. In his complete and utter agitation with the man, Gil had nearly stormed out of his room undressed. He had barely slipped a pair of pants on, not even bothering to button them, and threw his white jacket on, not even bothering to zip it up. His hair was sticking up this way and that, in his rage Gil hadn't managed to slick it back in its usual style. For once in his life Gil Vessalius forgot to actually make sure he looked regal. Instead he was a complete hot mess.

    "YOU THIEVING SCOUNDREL!"

His deep voice echoed as he slammed the doors to the guild open with a mighty push of his arms, each muscle straining to perform the action. Crimson orbs locked onto the said guidlmate, narrowing themselves into dangerous slits. "You mongrel. You dirty thieving mongrel. I ought to kill you." He growled, dhis voice almost cracking with anger. Gil was unpleasant enough as his usual self, but wine in the morning for him was like how coffee might be to others, in others words Gil was even more unpleasant without his morning cup of wine. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't destroy you!" He stormed up to Nai, pointing a long accusing finger at the man and not stopping until he stood over his guildmate.

"Geez, blondie! You're too loud!" flushed. Even after half a bottle  the effects had altered him to mildly tipsy, peering up at the infuriated male with a rather dazed expression as he folded his arms in-front of his chest. "It was just cheap wine anyway.. Besides! If you want something better you'll have to wait on the whole.. destroying thing," a laugh, eyelids draped over gems of ruby, crown tilting away, "Like you could destroy me anyway.." the mocking tone was audible even though he gave no effort to mask it up, reopening the exposed hues of crimson toward his guild-mate as his slender hand extended toward his index finger, moderately urging it down as a distinct beam of false alifted onto his lips.

"..And it's rude to point at people, don't you have any manners?" the tool of action dropped back by his side, figure gliding off the wooden table as he crammed his way by Gil, hesitant in his sluggish movements as he teetered back and forth toward the door that had been belted open. "Gil?~ Do you want twelve thousand jewels? Just imagine how much wine you could buy to satisfy your alcoholic desires!" rotating abruptly around, he nearly fell over, embracing stabalization by kneading his back against one of the wooden doors, smirking blithely. "All you have to do is help me kill a few.. copy cats." even when alcohol assembled a reddish glow to his cheeks, recognizable sincerity was unvieled through his dazed features as he observed the blonde cooly.

It wasn't till he was staring at him so intently that he percieved the way the blonde was clothed. He could plainly see his toned stomach, and chest, that regular ivory jacket messily situated onto his figure. Boxers were also caught within his line of sight, pants hardly struggling to stay on as his orbs lastly landed on Gil's golden locks of sunlight, scattered everywhere yet every piece laying in the precise right place. For once, the Magi couldn't say a word, whole focus drawn into a dream that refused to break him into reality until a certain life snapped him back once more.

"He's drunk?" The thought struck him rather suddenly, "It was barely half full. He's a total lightweight." That thought alone brought an almost charming smile to Gil's lips, softening his almost terrifying look for a moment. Until, suddenly that brief glimpse of amusement vanished and back in its place was a moderately annoyed look. "I could snap you like a twig dear." He growled feeling his agitation begin to rise again. Still, a tipsy Nai floundering about like a fool was amusing but it would appear that tipsy or not Nai was capable of pissing Gil off like no other being had dared to do.

Letting his finger get pushed down, he shoved his hands almost aggressively into his jacket pockets. "I have more manners than you." He retorted under his breath. Turning as Nai watched walked or perhaps stumbled past him. "I ought to get him drunk more often." He mused, the strange thought managing to slip its way through the rather murderous one's. "I'm not an alcoholic." He replied but Nai had clearly gotten the blonde's interest considering that he managed to hold Gil's attention. The man seemed to be thinking over Nai's proposition, it would have been perfect if not for the fact that he'd have to go with Nai, who seemed a little to tipsy for killing. "Maybe he'll mess up and accidentally die." Once again a smile played at his lips, an almost sinister one but regardless it was handsome. It was at that moment that he took notice of a certain pair of eyes upon his form. "Like what you see?" The easiest way to get Gil's temper or attitude or even anger under control was to flatter him. Nai's apparent gaze was enough to silence his anger but bring out a different demon of his. "It must be the first time you've ever seen something so great." His voice was arrogant but a playfulness had taken ahold of it as he strut his way over to his guildmate, a swagger in ever step, "Go ahead mongrel, I'll allow you to touch." His hands placed themselves firmly on his hips, abdominal muscles instinctively clenching. Would Nai take the bait? The man didn't wait to find out before nimbly, far to quick for someone of his stature, dancing out of Nai's potential reach. "If we finish this fast and get some wine, I might consider allowing you to touch me."

Through his haze of boring onto the figure of Gil, that arrogant voice fragmentized his thoughtless world, jerking him back into reality as discretion assembled within his cruelly twisted emotions. It was complex to tell if he were agitated by the intimidating male, gentle features alighted with a barren red, as unidentified unease strained into his shoulders. Wether it be the alcohol, or his own feelings, the raven-haired youth denied to obtain such a thing of recoiling in-front of this man. If he even gambled to expose such things, the raven-haired youth would eternally qualm over it for the rest of his life.

"I-I've seen better.." his crown tilted away, a mild frown stiffening against his arched brows as he contemplated why he had even lavished the rest of that wine before considering how foolish he possibly could've looked. Although it was exceptional to see the blonde spout ragedily at his actions, it would've been a more.. exceeding idea to just drop the bottle against firm ground instead. Did he just say I can touch him? a blink, he was surely evaluating the opition, a slender hand hesitantly raising toward a bed of toned muscle and definate appeal.

But, as if to deliberately taunt him, fragile fingers contacted the air, disappointment forming as those dull eyes gaped up at the blonde who situated an inch taller than himself. Just a damn inch. Perhaps that was the reason why he felt slightly daunted by the man. "Hah! I didn't want to touch you anyway!" evidently to late, his arm hoisted swiftly back by his side, anticipating that he hadn't grasped recognition of his extended fingers and outstretched arm.

    . . .

After consistent quarrelling and hours of travel, the Tartarus pair had lastly attained their destination. The woodland of Phoenix Mountains was sifted over with a cool mist, blinding them from the swelling of sunlight as they pursued alongside the central road. "Ahh~! My feet hurt~!" complaining, the youth tossed his hands up into the air, exhaust unvieled against his whole being as his ruby hues piolted onto Gil, "Hey, blondie.." a pause, he abruptly arosed behind the taller male, grasping his shoulders with a bare hold, "Carry me~." there was a banter to the way he spoke, undoubtedly aware that there was no way he would lug the Magi onto his back out of sheer will or kindness. Even if he resulted in doing otherwise, it was the case of some wicked plot that would steer his bliss into either rage or discomposure.

"Oh shut up!" He growled out at Nai's never ending string of complaints. If anyone should be complaining it should be Gil! The only reason he was out there was because of the thieving scoundrel. In the beginning, Gil had fueled himself on thoughts of money and another bottle of wine but those thoughts only got him so far, and it wasn't nearly far enough with him having to listen to Nai. It also didn't help that Gil didn't get the chance to properly fix up his appearance which was quite a problem for someone as vain as himself. "What'd I say about calling me blondie?" His question ended rather abruptly as he felt a pair of hands upon his shoulders. He had to give it to Nai for having such temerity as to physically touch the blonde.

"No." He simply stated, matter of factly, a no arguments allowed clearly spoken in his tone. A certain thought struck the mage though, one that made him physically pause in his steps. "Just what is his aim?" Nai often seemed to have some sort of purpose to his actions so certainly there was a purpose to his proposed piggyback ride. "Maybe he's trying to shame me so he can tease me by saying I'm not strong enough to pick him up. Or perhaps-" With someone like Nai in the picture there was a wide range of possibilities as to what the man's motives were. Gil regarded himself as a bright man but his actions weren't always the brightest, not that he was capable of realizing that.

With a huff he turned around to face his raven haired guildmate. "Up you go!" He smirked stepping in quickly and hooking one arm about the male's lower back and the other behind his knee's. "There are you happy now?" He raised a brow at his guildmate, picking the man up with relative ease. "Two can play this game. I'll shame him for his weakness! You will not beat me Nai!" His inner victory showed on his rather smug face as he walked forward, "Now where is this forsaken building?"

    JUDAR

    The Black Sun

The swelling of immense inefficacy conflicted with empathy, impaling docile features to the opposed vexation that belched an appeal of peculiar youth. Lashes of raven quivered downward, unshrouding lids of sifted plum through muddled locks - senile fingers delatching from broad shoulders as the sway of vitality beggared into nothingness. Reticence was desolated, partied by scarcely befalling strides on a path of barren earth, obscured within the chilled fog that lurched within the bottom of his spine; carefully snaking to the peak. Lips no longer conveyed so effortlessly, writhed into a beam of evident regale to the recoil of irritation and whimsical resonating voice. One discrete word the inducement of it all.

Capacity occurred along assembled goose-bumps, slender arms coiled around to caress a hope of warmth as the parrelled far flung racket made him apprehensive through travel. It was such an empty approach; seized by the cold. Envy was resolved, conflicting with optics of ruby, distinct in narrow lines that wound around the center of sight. The display of his back was relatively afflicting, each feeble nail prodding at the palm with the lust to be as warmthed in the ivory jacket as he presumptively was. But, the man was as headstrong as the other, reluctant to fret on his condition after minutes before had not gone his way. For that was not how he enacted himself. Even with rived bones and battered flesh, he would still confront his fortitude until the influence to stand would be no more.

As the mentality drowned in inner hatred; diverse in current time. It was clefted back to the abrupt proximity of a crown of unkempt sunshine. Acute features advancing to his view, lush and lightly pinkish lips cambering up into a insulting sneer. He was almost inclined to extract from the warmth that spiraled toward him, confronting the icy skin that alifted brief discomfort, but evident puzzlement to his slightly frowned brows. "What are you-" the flush bounded forth, immediate to the aloof stroke to his back, another protracted to the back of knees; detained princess-style. Dilemma, it was written like the page of a book, painted against rosed flesh as the cold hands greeted the warm chest without comprehension. "Y-You bastard! Put me down! This is embarrassing! What do you think you're doing!?" if they had projected to delude the enemy with silence, it was utterly pillaged as of now. Not that he heeded the regard, for he was no more than but a flustered teenage girl in the embrace of "prince-charming".

Floundering against his warmth, he swayed back stiffly onto blistered feet, revolving around to face the towering company of so called comrade. Albeit the logical color that smeared along once pale cheeks, a cavalier smile flared like a flame in the night, unvieling flawless white teeth that arrayed precisely in place. "Tch, the only one who should be held like a princess is you!" a snarl to the voice, the neck cornered by golden brace tilted away, siding toward a structure of fairly grand building that peeled patches of wood and decaying metal from various sections. A sign, titled over the place, hollering out the display of a tavern that had prior to the travel, esteemed this location to be the venue of the; copy cats. Lights gleamed from inner, acknowledging the company that nestled from within, a sigh gradually liberating like a typical routine, or a nuisance of fixation.

"Lets get this over with." dull-toned, the Magi advanced toward the door.

PARDON ME BUT YOU SAID THAT YOU'D ALWAYS LOVE ME
    Pefect

This was simply perfect to the golden haired man. Nothing brought a smirk to his lips like the absolutely breath-taking sight of someone get flustered over him and his audacious actions. It was even more delightful that it was Nai who was getting flustered. At Nai's request or rather demand, Gil could only send an absolutely charming smile down towards his temporary comrade. "I'm only doing what the princess requested," He shrugged, "I've had a change of heart Nai. I'm changing my ways, I shall now give back to the world. I ought to share my beauty and gracious charity with the world! I figured I'd start with you." Sarcasm was dripping off of each word that escaped his lips. Clearly, he found this entire job to be a game, a sick way to tease his guild mate in revenge for prior events.

Letting Nai wriggle out of his arms, in fact he nearly just let the man hit the dirt, Gil sighed casting his ruby gems off to the side.Hearing Nai's words, Gil brushed them off with ease, Nai's crimson expression did not serve to aggravate the dark mage into a furious rage, if anything it just made him feel as if he had the upper hand. "King." He corrected, "I would be carried like a King not like a princess. Only one of us here is a princess and it's not me." His hand slicked its way through his sun kissed locks, flipping the stray bangs out of the way of his regal face. "Oh trust me I'd have you carry me if I think you could handle it." He challenged with his own toothy sneer, pearly whites revealing themselves to the bright sun, and almost animal like canines look particularly ferocious thanks to his unusually wild appearance.

The sight of the structure made Gil frown all teasing playfulness dissipating. "What a run down structure." Truth be told anything that was not his own home was run down to a man like Gil but that was beside the point. "Ladies first." Strong arms crossed themselves over his broad chest, refusing to dirty himself by touching the doorknob of the establishment. By this time the mage was prepared for whatever might lie in store, magic already bursting forth within him, ready to be cast at a single moment. He'd rather not waste his entire day with such petty criminals and guildmates alike. However, a single thought struck the mage and not having much of a filter when it came to speaking his mind, Gil's voice cut through the air:

"Oh try not to die. I'd hate to have to explain to Lyserg as to what happened here."

    A pause.

It had been consistent lately. Rigidly halting in his tracks, distant and revised in the thoughts that were constrained to his mind, protesting to let go. Like leeches, they inhaled all certainty he ever minded to preserve - the morale to his egotistic being - that with came unease, gradually sprouted to the gaze of one particular being. One particular vexating blonde that knotted and reveled with the desire to shame him. To humiliate him. Something that was gratifying yet annoying in so many varied ways that it would take days before the explanation ceased. "Gil." his back faced the male, glossy strands of lengthed raven reclining perfectly against his shoulders as the restrained whole spanned just over his calves. The crown tilted, one dusted lid barely avowing the glimpse of ruby through the thin wall of darkened lash. He seemed almost disinterested by the comment; or perhaps irritated?

"Do I look like the kind of person who just dies that easily?" by now the features steered in his direction, countering his own remark before the other could even fathom to form a single word, "Oh right, I forgot.. You're basically clueless when it comes to these sort of things~." a sarcastic tone dripped venomously from his lush lips, gaping up at the almost twin like eyes, clashing in a gaze of immense agitation - most passerbys immediate to avoid. There was no evident enclosement of amuse written clearly among his ownself. Infact, the raven-haired youth was forcing a smile to the blonde's perspective, lurching out cruel sarcasm in the desire to plainly dispatch all composure he detained. After all, nothing more made his day than to witness his dear comrade snap - something about him loosing his cool was uplifting to him. A cure to the unease you could say.

Nai disregarded the need to hark any longer, swaying the door open as it swiftly pursued out after him - possibly straight into the blonde's face if he saw the crude action coming or not. His bare and blistered feet confronted unkempt flooring, tuning in to the dimly lit room that was wholly desolated of life. Despite there being gestures all dispersed within radius, as he stepped further into the room, a figure would glide suddenly behind him, unregarded while fixedly grappling at the handle of a wooden club. The stranger's arms locked out, object crushing into the back of his skull as he fell to the floor with a suppressed groan, blood immediately seething through his locks as the flawlessly arrayed teeth gritted together in convulsion. "Haha! I thought I heard somebody suspicious outside! If you really want to go and kill someone you shouldn't just carelessly blabber it out load for all to here!" a youth, the bat drummed against his shoulder, unaware of the other presence behind him as Nai hesitantly leant up, doubtlessly in a variety of rage and pain. His insight glazed over, mind ringing like an utter painful bell that loudly convulsed by his ears, hardly able to just lean up as the smear of red tumbled down the side of his face.

Dammit.. he thought, unable to comprehend what would happen next.

Stop Copying Me! | Private | Gil & Nai Empty Re: Stop Copying Me! | Private | Gil & Nai

Post by King Gil 30th June 2015, 12:20 pm

PARDON ME BUT YOU SAID THAT YOU'D ALWAYS LOVE ME

    Yes

Nai completely looked like someone who could die very easily. He was a capable mage, even that Gil could not deny, but physically? If things got physical it wasn't very hard to imagine Nai on the losing end. Nai was tall but slender, his toned stomach that he put on display showed that to some extent he was fit but that did not necessarily mean strong. On the other hand the golden youth had more muscle on him, and when push came to shove he would use his weight and build to his advantage. It wasn't as if Gil had taken the time to observe this, or contemplate his guildmates strength versus his own, or anything of that nature. A scowl formed across handsome regal features at the sound of sarcasm and most importantly an insult. "Clueless? The only clueless one here is you. You ought to realize you're not everything you think you are, Nai." Venomous, with a twinge of hurt to his voice, and blatantly unaware of just how ridiculous he sounded. Gil preaching about overestimating one's self was quite a sight. "Go on ahead, get yourself killed-" He shrugged, just narrowly avoiding a door to his face.

"You imbecile you almost hit my-"

Time slowed, a figure appearing between him and Nai, a bat in one hand. Cat like eyes could only watch as the bat connected with Nai's skull. The body, the one he had believe to be light and fragile, hit the floor with a surprisingly heavy thud. The irony of it all was almost too much to bear. The very man who embodied Hubris couldn't help but want to laugh at the rather painful result of having excess pride. It hadn't clicked that the same thing was capable of happening to him, because nothing bad could even happen to him. Despite wanting to laugh at Nai's blunder, not a single sound escaped from Gil.

    Red

It blurred at the edges of his own crimson eyed vision, it leaked from the back of Nai's head, and it was soon going to be leaking from the thugs heads as well. "How dare you!?" He growled, one hand clenching into a fist as he stormed through the open door. "Who do you think you are!?" He was livid. Filth just harmed Nai without Gil's permission. Filth just did what Gil had always wanted to do. Filth just touched what he deemed as his. No one had the right to hurt his guildmates unless they happened to be him. With a growl Gil pounced forward, going shoulder first into the man's back, throwing his entire being into hurting the living trash. The man stumbled forward and turned just in time to see the fist flying at his face.

    ~*~

As the man his the floor clutching a bloodied nose, Gil turned to his fallen comrade. A strong hand reached out to Nai, an offer to pull him up from the floor. The once flawless skin of his knuckles were marred and bloodied, but there seemed to be no trick to his offer. His want to help Nai up was sincere. "I told you." He sighed but not in an unkind way. It wasn't in an unkindly way, a matter of fact statement, sounding much like a parent who warned their child about running with scissors. "Let's take out the trash."

Post by Simba 3rd July 2015, 4:30 am

There was no endeavour for shame to be whisked off to the side like dust, the splintering chime of torment that strained at his skull employed all heed that currently flared into existence. Each pulsating motion emphasizing the lack of strength he truly attained through a structure of fragility, warmth of red slurring almost alluringly against the pale canvas as the haze of a quaking skull distinctly heard the clash of battle. Fingers spanned in discomfort against the rigid floor, shuddering view lastly reclaiming its poise to at least comprehend what was occurring within his radius. Through a blur of motion, the striking golden strands weaved against clenched hands, time hindering as he could only regard the fact that the one had chosen to save, rather than laugh. Or was it truly that? Perhaps. But, the more he reflected on it, the more it seemed so insincere. After all, there was no way someone of such rotten attitude would attain anything by rescuing him. To most, the life of the youth was either irrelevant or essential.

A hand, it was seen against the wavering vision, stained by the familiarity of red, but, gratefully unscathed. Hesitation composed against him as the wounded skull frothed in scarce agony, alifted by the one who stood presicely before him. "..Gil." no cruelty. For a meager minute on the whirling clock of time, he was evidently voidless of all negative emotions - surely indebted to the fact his "friend" had preferred to aid him. A root of crimson riveted from the mound of raven, leaving a trail down and over the left half of his eyelid, and then all the way - tumbling - off his cheek. The hesitation ceased, and his unsteady grip latched onto the hand, yanked to his feet once more by the rapid approach of dizziness, inclining support against a chest. "Before you go all King-like, let me say.. thank you." the balance embraced, he steered away, inconvenient in the utter fact he now felt so embarrassed, protesting to expose a peculiar expression, "N-Not that I needed your help anyway!" he exclaimed, the unease evident within his voice - yearning to sound crude.

With a smear, the red met the outer part of a hand, a noise, and then a roar of fallen objects resonating from the doorway, two figures treading into sight - stunned. "Randy!" the young woman hollered, terror confronting her voice as the also youthful male stood beside her, uncertain. Clumsy hands ravaged pockets, tugging out two small switch-blades which trembled against his timid grasp - engagement arising as the cruelty revolved. "Why don't you just give up now?" it seemed it was a struggle not to laugh, and the young man only breyed his teeth together in fury, conceivably taking action. A lash through the air, he treaded with the consistent swings as if he were engaging in casual conversation, not once being struck. The drain of energy came, a chance noted - he embraced the other's hand and angeled the weapon toward his throat, casting a hush as the body fell to the floor. "Hey, little miss can't-move over there might be taking her leave if you don't do something~." with a sly tone, a smirk teased at his lips.

The marred hand wrapped itself firmly about Nai's slender wrist, taking a moment to simply grasp it. Then, with hardly a strain of his muscles, Gil tugged the other man to his feet allowing him to rest for a moment. That moment ended rather abruptly as Nai seemingly recovered, turning away from Gil's almost concerned crimson gaze. It wasn't until he heard a certain pair of words escape his guildmate's lips that Gil was no longer concerned. Two words of gratitude that would be cherished, and would eventually at a more appropriate time be used against the very man that uttered them. An all too familiar smirk eased itself onto Gil's lips, concern now gone, "Are you trying to imply that I'm not always King like?" Making no comment of Nai's thankfulness, he seemed almost unaware of his own feral appearance. It wasn't often that Gil got in fist fights, he either had to be exceptionally drunk or incredibly pissed off. "Well, then if you don't need my help I guess I should just leave." Yet he made no move to leave especially when two others appeared, a man and a woman.

"This place is just crawling with rats isn't it?"

Annoyed by their presence and even more annoyed with how Nai rushed to greet them. Did he not just learn anything from the last experience? Strolling about the edge of the room, gaze only showing half-interest in the combat between Nai and the knife wielder, Gil continued silently making his way towards a certain quiet girl. "I'm already on it Nai, unlike you I can handle a lot more than just myself....Oh wait you can't even handle yourself." The girl turned startled towards Gil's rumbling voice, having snuck up behind her, she to distracted by the bloody end to the combat. "Quite the scrawny little thing aren't you?" He noted after observing her for a moment or two, "I'd rather not waste any energy on you so if you'd just get out of my way." One hand grabbed her by the collar of her shirt, lifting her up so that her feet dangled in the air. A pair of skinny hands wrapped about his wrist, holding on for dear life or trying to get him to let go it was difficult to tell. With a simple flick of the wrist, he tossed the girl off to the side like one might toss trash, causing her to crash into a table.

    "Let's go shall we?"

Post by Simba 17th July 2015, 12:03 am

HEY LUCID DREAMER MAKE UP YOUR MIND
Slender arms enfolded onto the chest of scare clothing, reclining in a gesture of both amuse and discontent, as the longing to clash a mer struggle by the play of worthless motionings before him. The cheater, the paltry knife-wielder, and the youth of a girl who convulsed against the solid wooden floor - rasping with every movement - struggled to arise by the mild action of a toss to the side. Displeasement swelled like the needle-stinging agony that cleaved through his skull, shrilling and prodding at the mound of flesh concealed within as he treaded in the direction of the other male. "I can handle myself, thank-you-very-much~!" there was a peculiar whine to his voice, cheeky, yet, somewhat light-hearted as he hindered by the blonde with a semblance of placidity. A smear of red still salient through the strands of messy raven, almost at even with the hue of crimson that flared in two particular pools - fluttering hesitantly as if uneasy by the churring of his head. The will as scorching as the flames themselves - opposing the option to recline to suddenly into the potential risk of collapsing.

Another space. Void of life. The structure of steps prominent to the origin of others - dimly lit - voices were audible from afar, a singular bead of sweat composed alongside the pale face. Optics of diverse blood-line ensuing the fluctating Rukh, in shades of black and white, their voices only whispered words he could not comprehened, their cliches guiding him to the door at the peak. Exposed feet snaked onto the first, not lingering for the company as the once distant noise became more clear - tired eyes sauntering in a mild frown as the sound from within rigged to be no more than the sound of a radio lacrima. A single foot reared, belting into the door instead of opening it in a more civil manner. The radius was spacious, a desk centered precisely at the end, and oodly seized by a man - situated so thoroughly with papers that he almost seemed disinteresting and unaware of their loud entrance. Another inclined against the corner of the office-like room, an icy stare in his eyes as he observed the two carefully.

".. Zack Storm, huh? Somehow I hoped us meeting you would be a little more exciting than this!" laughter, the venomus tongue engaged the man's attention, his dully expressed hues scarcely frightening him as he stood there so confidently. "Or are a bunch of copycats only good for copying~?" the provoking began.

"Is that what you tell yourself Nai? Does it help you sleep at night?" He inquired, his tone matching that of his companion. His own gaze watched the scrawny girl for a moment, the two holding eye contact, silently daring her to get up. At the very least she could read the unspoken threat in his eyes. Sending her one last smirk, a promise that he would be coming back, he turned his back the girl and instead followed after Nai.

Climbing up the steps, the pair was oddly silent, save for the tapping noise Gil's boots made on the floor. Instead his gaze was trained forward on the back of Nai's head, watching the slowly drying blood on the ink black locks. A silent sigh, and he now tried to peak around the mage, looking ahead to see if they were closer to the rest of the gang. He could hear voices, quiet mutterings, it seemed like they were going to be taking them unaware. Finally, the two reached a door that Nai politely kicked down. "What a savage you are...." A quiet mutter under his breath, that only Nai was meant to hear. Letting his partner have his moment the blonde mage leaned against the door way, arms crossed over his broad chest, as his red gaze glanced over the room. The contents of the room, people and weapons, were not what he seemed to be looking at. Rather he was eyeing over the dimensions, gaze sweeping the ceiling, looking to see just how much space he had to work with.

A smirk eased its way on his lips, apparently he found what it was he was looking for. Removing himself from the doorway and stepping inside to stand beside Nai. The two men within seemed surprised at their presence and then agitated Nai's mocking words,

"These two are hardly worth our time."

Now they were pissed, it wasn't just a verbal attack from Nai but now they were getting put down by Gil. The two mages might not get along well but together they could at least piss others off effectively. Glancing between the two enemies, both scrambling to their feet, Gil sighed. "I'll get the one on the left." Under his breath once more so only Nai could hear, the one on the left was larger in stature, already reaching for a large battle hammer. Truth be told Gil would have preferred to deal with Zack but he'd rather not have a repeat of the incident downstairs.

Nai nodded. He didn't look back, he didn't say a word. This room was a space for play and he was ready to have some fun. Zack had been his target from the very beginning. Despite getting belted in the head with a bat, he no longer regarded the pain that convulsed through his skull. His feet casually moved forward, red observing the target with amuse. He was young, but, not so much that he could be considered a child. In fact, when Nai approached him, he could distinctly tell that Zack was probably the same age as the two Tartarus mages. How unforunate. Judging by the description on that job sheet, he was quite an excellent mage - if not better then Gil. "To bad I have to kill him." he muttered under his breath, peering up at the rival that propelled himself onto his own desk. Papers scattered everywhere - seemingly unimportant. The currents of wind increased in the room, its power radiating from Zack. There was an overwhelming excitement that started to swell within his chest, pearly whites exposed by that ever so consistent smirk.

Abruptly, wind-like blades constructed rashly before him, quickly advancing in the urge to ravage against his flesh. Nai barely evaded one as it snipped at the side of his cheek, leaving a small cut. Fingers curled against the wand within his scarf, flickering outward with a spell. Magic circle appeared just in time, blocking the influential attacks as the force wavered through him. Even though he was about to fall onto his ass, the thrill of battle was something he had missed - there was no time for loitering about on his rear. With the passing blades, the barrier of deathly presence splintered into nothingness, and by the time it had, Nai was already gone. A hand quickly extended outward, firmly gripping onto the nape of Zack's neck, forcing his face to smash into the floor. "Sorry kiddo! This is where it ends~!" a scream resonated from the copy-cat as the flesh on his neck started to rot away. Wicked semblance lingered off of Nai like steam, eerie smile curling against his lips.

The large battle hammer didn't seem to cumbersome to Wade in the slightest, he twirled the weapon as if it was a baton. Hammers and axes were brutal weapons with little to no honor. They simply battered their enemies with little to no grace involved. It was only natural that Gil at least return the favor, why give them an honorable death if they would not do the same for him? "What a pathetic excuse for a weapon. Blades are what kings fight with." He just narrowly avoided the first swing of the large weapon, the other man was surprisingly quick upon his feet despite the weight of the weapon. Surely, he could not keep up that pace for long.

Muttering the proper invocation, a golden flash of light illuminated the room. It momentarily blinded Wade, all the while Gil was smirking as usual. Once the light dissipated there was another presence within the room, one that let loose a hiss that sounded more like a shriek. Bone white and leathery, the creature let loose another shriek this time baring its dripping rows of pearly white fangs. It's long pointed tail swished about like a cat ready to attack its, prey knocking over furniture and the like. "Isn't it pretty?" Gil inquired placing a hand upon the scaled beast, the battle hammer wielding man muttered something about dragon but Gil's eyes narrowed into slits, "It's a wyvern you uneducated scum. Honestly." The creature snapped its jaws together, creeping closer to the man with the hammer who swung at it.

It's long neck, almost snake like if not for the fact that it was connected to its dragon like body, easily avoided the swing of the hammer. Its tail lashed out in retaliation, the pointed tip clashing with the hammer, sliding along the metal until it sliced at one of his fingers. "Ah-" He cursed the hammer hitting the floor with a thud, "What the?" The minor wound upon his afflicted hand felt as if it was throbbing.

"Its tail and fangs drip with poison."

    @BLONDIE
oh dang - sorry for crap post
nai seems to have bad luck

As arrogant as he was, Nai had infered that this guy would die in the next few minutes - death consuming his soul. He watched as various places on his body - exposed - began to tear off and disintegrate into the aura of shadow that rippled around them both. The wooden floor around them started to gradually rot, appearing as kindled markings from a fire. Zack was on a level of physical strength that was as high as his own, but, in a position such as this, the youth doubted he'd be able to be forced off like a rider on a horse. But, he was wrong. Just as he had refused to admit it downstairs, Zack managed to veer slightly underneath him, his elbow belting directly into the center of his face. Nai stumbled back, hands holding his nose as he felt the moist touch of blood immersing against his fingers. The wind violently flushed out the dark aura, although, it was already to late for the kid. He could still see his flesh hesitantly rotting and the colour of his skin going pale. Zack was slowly dying. Quickly, he stumbled onto his feet as a hurdle of wind-like blades advanced into his direction. Unforunately for him, he was not as quick to react as earlier - two of the blades grazing across his left shoulder.

Tearing through muscle and ripping his bare excuse of a shirt, Nai descended behind the desk. The wound was deep, and he was already loosing to much blood. Would he die? Although that may of been the dreams of many who loathed him, Nai, did not want that. He didn't want to die yet. The youth wished he had been more experienced in combat then with magic and evading. His vision was going blurry, and he could not hear Zack approaching the desk. In fact, the copy-cat was silent - all he could hear was the faint sound of Gil. Shit. He tried to push himself up as much as he could, managing to reach the wall to lean up just slightly against it. There was the lifeless body of Zack on the floor, a weak smile stretching onto his lips. "Heh." he wanted to laugh out loud. Stand up proudly and show how truly great he was. But, he couldn't. Those eyes of ruby, gradually started to close.

"How would you like to be eaten alive?"

He paced on one side of his opponent, as his beast followed suit on the other side. Briefly in the back of his mind Gil realized that Nai was in the room, and probably in need of his attention but Gil couldn't tear himself away from his opponent. Victory was just within his grasp, he could practically taste it upon his tongue like a fine wine. Surely, his guild mate could hold off for another minute or two as Gil assured himself an oh so sweet win. "Your struggles are pathetic." The man rushed at him, dragging the battle hammer along its weight scraping against the floor. Once more Gil narrowly dodged the cumbersome weapon, "Getting tired now are we? That hammer must feel heavy." Gil pushed and prodded at his buttons with an arrogant smirk. As the man focused once more on Gil, the bone white wyvern crept in from behind until at long last its jaws sunk into the man's shoulder. He screeched making Gil wince at the sound, the rest of the sight wasn't worth Gil's time. Victory wasn't nearly as sweet as he had imagined it being. He had been expecting a better fight than that. He could always steal some glory from that-

    "Nai."

He had turned just in time to see his guild mate get hit with blade like wind. He cursed silently under his breath. His first irrational thought was to take out his frustration upon Zack but he was nothing more than corpse. "Tch." Trying to keep some composure the blonde edged his way closer to Nai who appeared unconscious. "How troublesome." A soft spoken mutter to himself as he inspected his fellow youth. At the least he appeared to be breathing. Gil let loose a sigh of what sounded almost like relief only to have the moment spoiled once more, "I ought to just leave you here." He sounded as if the whole situation was an inconvenience to him but his actions spoke otherwise. The wounds upon Nai's shoulders were deep making Gil a little wary to move him but it wasn't as if he could leave him with the remnants of the Copy Cat Gang. He cast his red eyes towards his wyvern, "When you're finished with him there's a girl downstairs for you to finish as well. She won't put up too much of a fight."

    ~*~

Another huff of air escaped his lips as he trekked through the mountains with nothing but his thoughts and an unconscious companion for company. "Why am I carrying this imbecile again?" He shifted Nai's weight on his back. A familiar jacket was used as bandages for the rather deep wounds Nai had suffered, a jacket that of course was going to be replaced by Nai once he was fit to replace it. "I merely let him use it because I was getting warm out." He cast his gaze towards the fading orange and purple of the sky. It was going to be a rather long walk back to the guild.

Nai was no longer in reality. Obscurity immersed him as though he had fallen into the depths of the ocean. He couldn't breath, he couldn't move. The surface of this world was limitless, and as he fell and fell and fell. A peculiar warm feeling washed over his very self. It was not cold like usual. This darkness had always felt so cold and empty, but, the youth did not feel as if he was alone. Confusion approached his mentality, the colour gold clashing against this barren wastle-land of old memories. Like stars in the sky, he could see each and every one. His hands would slowly reach out, as if to try and touch them. But, no matter how much his fingers outstretched, he would never reach those stars. It was painful. Seeing their faces all the time. Perhaps that was the reason why he slept so much - to try and reach those memories. To see those faces that he held so dear to his heart. Nai was never one to run away, but, that day, where everything changed, he was to afraid to even wonder what they would think about him if they found out he used magic. The immediate assumption was hatred, betrayal and shock. He couldn't even fathom what else there may of been. So instead he ran. He ran until he couldn't anymore, until his feet bled out and his stomach churned in hunger.

In the farthest golden star, he could see a fragment that brought back a nostalgic feeling into his chest - twisting and pulling at his heart. His very first friend. Somebody, who in such dark, secretive times, was the only light he had. Even though he knew absolutely nothing of who Nai was and how much pain he had gone through, the raven-haired youth didn't care. He didn't want him to know the truth. Especially since, it was forbidden to tell - he just thought that regardless of how kind that person truly was, he'd still come to hate him. Those naked lids twitched, ebony lashes parting open to expose a teary red. His cheeks felt wet, and he knew he was crying - his sight blurred and his body felt weak. "Koumei... a whisper, but, surely it was heard by the one who carried him. Still half-awake, his own voice hauled him back into reality. The first thing he noticed was that he had been crying, and when he comprehended who was carrying him, his forehead fell against the male's shoulder refusing to reveal such an embarrassing sight. Although, Nai guessed that the blonde would feel his shoulder dampen anyway - as long as he couldn't see his face that was all that mattered.

"Gil..." his voice was weak, gentle. It wasn't cold and venomous - dripping with his overconfident youth. Instead, it was tinged with confusion, and the pain of something else that he couldn't perceive. "...Why?" a pause, "Why did you save me? I thought you hated me.. so.." his voice trailed off, no longer having the courage to continue on. As soon as he noticed what had been used to bind his wound, he felt the cords of his very heart being fiercely pulled upon. Nai had always been emotional, but, this was the first time he had cried in awhile. Hadn't this person hated me? The two always clashed together like opposing elements - butting heads and starting aimless quarrels. Nai had guessed he would have definitely left him there to die. Taken the money and headed back to the guild. But, instead, he did the complete opposite. His tightened lips trembled and his shoulders started to shake just slightly. "You say one thing, then you go and do something else.. are you an idiot?" he didn't speak loudly. He was afraid if he did, his voice would crack, and he'd let the blonde hear things that he never wanted him to hear. The very thought of being let down and seen in such a mess would fill him with shame and self-pity. He'd never talk to the blonde again. Nai couldn't even consider talking to him after this without feeling so conflicted by strange emotions.

But, was he fine with doing that? He didn't know. And quite frankly, the youth would never know until it slapped him right in the face.

A sudden dampness upon his shoulder, and a whisper that would have been lost in the wind if not for the one who uttered it being so close to him alerted Gil to Nai's awakening. Still, Gil trudged on without a word even as Nai soft voice spoke his name. It was strange to hear Nai use such a docile tone of voice. Frowning at the question that the mage had poised Gil remained silent. That very question was one he had been pondering over, or tried to ignore the implications it arose.

    Why?

Why had he taken the time and effort to pick up Nai? Everything about his very being would suggest that he would do the opposite. Yet here he was with Nai upon his back. Had Gil developed some strange sense of whimsy? Did he at long last finally make a companion of sorts? A companion whom he could not leave to bleed out in such a forsaken pit? "No." That wasn't quite right, Gil did not have friends. He had subjects, followers, but never something like a friend. Why was it though that he picked up Nai? A crushing feeling of responsibility bubbled up in his chest, and once more the blonde attempted to push the feeling down.

    Guilt

Gil Vessalius felt personally responsible for Nai's current condition. If only he had gone through the door, if only he had taken on Zack, if only he wasn't so absorbed in his own battle, in himself, then he might have been able to prevent some of the injuries that Nai bore. It was his fault that Nai was in such a condition and the guilt pressed upon him like a stone. However, guilt was a hard feeling for Gil to acknowledge. He was a being that craved to rule others but was unaware of the responsibility that came with it, or rather he knew of it but when it came to taking responsibility he preferred not to. He ignored it and resented it, couldn't he rule without having to care, without having to own up to the consequences his choices would inevitably make? He always wanted but could not give or so he told himself. Though just as Nai said, his actions conflicted with his words, and unfortunately Gil was an idiot when it came to realizing his own personal feelings and motivations. It was growing difficult to distinguish his true thoughts from the one's he told himself he had to have.

"Can't you just die already? At least then you'd finally be quiet."

He grit his teeth, swallowing back the guilt and any progress his mind was telling him to make. He would not allow himself to become some guilt ridden, open-hearted, imbecile. He would push back those feelings and those actions, smothering them in his arrogance. Those were feelings and thoughts that made him weak, that gave an opportunity for others to hurt him, he could not afford to be hurt again. Hefting Nai up once more to stop slipping, Gil gave Nai the best answer he could come up with,

"You still owe me a bottle of wine as well as a new jacket now."
