Cont. from Anger Management in Talonia.
    -------------------------------------------------------

As the eagle made of fire streaked across the sky, leaving a trail of flames licking behind it---eventually it would dip down as a town ahead approached rapidly as if running across a field ahead quickly.

When they were in front of Oak Town; the bird would land and dip it's neck down, letting Roya and Yugi off before disappearing with a 'WHOOSH' on the night breeze, it's fire separating apart as it dispelled.

Nothing but the sound of crickets, and street lights as Yugi and Roya were left alone at the front of Oak Town. Convenience stores all closed along the block. The town itself was gigantic, going upward as much as it did forward, since Oak Town was built around a gigantic mountain.

"We're going up there." Yugi would say, pointing as he began to walk, in the general direction of the many houses up ahead wrapping upward around the mountain, Oak Trees everywhere. Yugi's hometown. He smiled as he looked across town, and looking up and to the left--he could see Oak Temple, gleaming in the light on the mountain. Such a library made Yugi remember that he was home, as a small smile passed over his face--only for a split moment as a comical sweatdrop reminded him of the situation.

"Ok...here's the short lesson. My brother, the Ex-Chairman of the Magic Council. Family all over the world is proud of him. Sparrow family, banking family. With a bank in every nation of Earthland, except for Sin and Enca--those weed smoking islanders don't give a shit about money." continuing for awhile in silence, Yugi led Roya along magnificent street paved roads that seemed to curve upward and in all directions into parks, stores, and houses around the mountain.

"My Dad...he left long ago, after he trained Lucien and I. He just vanished one night and never came home......Mom sent out wanted posters and everything with the Rune Knights...drank more wine than I've ever seen." shaking his head as he walked he continued "My twin brother Lucien uses Ice-Make, he's the older of us by a minute or two; my dad taught me Fire-Make he was a master of both....my Mom is a Wind-Make wizard...even stronger than me." Yugi gulped comically at the thought of his mothers strength. "My sisters, neither of them are wizards...but Marygold she is planning on taking over the family banks somehow...I just know it." shaking his head he laughed "She's going to be in competition with you because you both have huge chests." Yugi said plainly with no emotion as he rubbed his hair in frustration. "My other sister Alexis is sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Doesn't mind Dark Guilds, even likes em a bit. Kinda an outcast. Me and her have always been closer...Marygold was always closer with Lucien...idolizes Count Sparrow even."

Randomly, Yugi would stop at a gigantic manor, with shrubs perfectly cut all around it as fences. Golden gates only at the front and two at the backside of the manor.

"Well, here we are." Yugi said as the two guards, secretly Kugeki employed by Yugi to keep his family safe snapped to attention, both dressed in crisp suits. Moving past them and pushing the large gate open with a groan and creek, Yugi moved across the yard and through the twin fountains on either side up to the front door and walked in. It seemed that everyone was sleeping, everyone except---

"Yugi, who's this?" his mother stood. Gorgeous with her hair pinned in a bun, with a late night gown on as if she'd been reading. The woman of her forties stood in the pink, sheer, night gown that wrapped her figure, giving her quite the MILF, look as she also had a chest rivaling Roya's. "Oh I see she's quite.......hm, why do you have that look honey and why are you dozens and dozens of miles from Talonia...has something happened?" Mrs. Sparrow raised an eyebrow as Yugi sulked and sighed once---explaining the whole situation to his mother with Roya present.

"So basically...." her head turned directly to Roya "My baby boy got into a fight over you with some other ding dong and ruined whatever good thing he had going for him in Talonia right...." she said coldly, crossing her arms. "I'm kidding...well the Public isn't too happy about your brother Pardoning you, which is why you couldn't live here at home after you got out of Prison. But I suppose after this incident in Talonia no one knows you're here, you should be OK at home for a little while at least..." she thought the same thing Yugi did, he couldn't stay home for long. Plus, he'd hired several dozen Kugeki ninjas to keep his family safe at all times when he wasn't here. Even so, him being here could bring some kind of a threat home after a week or so.

"Mother, we're going to have a visitor shortly. The guy who caused all of that in Talonia. Don't freak out." Yugi saw the expression on her face but he looked pretty stern about it. "Roya here uh...she was staying with me." he blushed intensely as his mothers head grew comically with a loud 'WHAT?'. She gave Roya a look that said we need to have a long talk at that very moment.

    ASHES, ASHES

It all had happened so quickly. One minute they were at the soul bar... talking over their champagne. Roya didnt even get a taste before things went foul and the bounty was called. It was a hell of a barfight lets just say that and now the two of them were traveling high over Fiore at the back of one of Yugi's fire creations.

"...Here, since you thought it was necissary to tear your cloths off like a madman.” She smirked teasing, in an attempt to lighten the mood. Yugi’s the only person Roya EVER bothered to cheer up… everyone else could go to hell, be depressed. Yet, she couldn’t stand seeing him like this. With her words she shouldered off her cloak, helping it off with her one arm before she laid the cloth over his shoulders. As she did this she swaddled her arm around him from behind, laying her chin at his shoulder comfortably.

“Where the hell do you think we could go?… The bounty… it’s the clean slate afterall. I’m sure people all over Fiore are going to want to put a sword through you...” She murmmured, squeezing him tighter, eyes lowering eventually closing...

    ---

She didnt even recall his reply if there was one. The air up here and the scotch from earlier had made her a rather groggy...

Roya dozed off a couple times even falling into Yugi like this, either way, she was stirred awake when the bird let the two down and disapaited. Streching Roya rubbed her eyes, turning in the direction Yugi pointed. Oak town.

With a tired nod she followed his lead, walking behind a little groggily as they trekked the roads of Oak. She smiled subtly as he told Roya about his family: His father, mother, siblings. Roya was an only child and never really had ideal parents at one point in her life. Either way she managed… glad that Yugi had a much healthier upbringing then her. Evidentially they met the direct destination. It hadn’t clicked to her that this was his home yet and that’s why he was telling her all this…

Roya gaped at the manor standing in front of her, never had she even come close to setting foot in a place like this. Roya was raised in Desierto slums after all.  Her mother had tried to school her at one point... but never could show her enough between her father’s injustice... Roya could hardly read…or write legibly for that matter. Counting was the same story unfortunatley... Having not been educated was easily one of the Roya’s most embarrassing secrets.

The woman felt a tad self-conscious walking past the guards and in there without her coat to protect her arm from anyones view, but it was better then Yugi walking around in those boxers of his. She hefted a sigh as she stepped in behind Yugi, deciding to let it be. Her teeth gritted together troubled, knowing someone may ask about her arm somewhere.

The duo were almost immediately caught and questioned by the woman in the night dress, standing to her feet right as they walked in

Roya carefully furrowed a brow, listening to the two speak. Yugi explained just about everything. The mage would of crossed her arms over her chest had she still owned two of them. She glanced about the very spacious and tended manor, letting her head soak up their conversation.

Green eyes skipping back to them, she quickly put together who the woman was. Roya silently pieced a few of the woman resembling features to Yugi’s. This was his mother, and they were standing in his home. The lady’s dialogue further proved that Royas assumptions had been right on the mark.

Then, Roya’s eyes faltered to the ground darkly, recalling what she had done to her mother, her home, her arm. It was all because she couldn’t live being helpless right? She did it all to become something that wasn’t in her blood, a mage.

Roya’s face to flushed red at Yugi’s next array of words.  Yes, they had been staying together. Mrs. Sparrow’s assumptions were probably right as to what that meant, a man and a woman living in the same house--  She raised her one arm out in front of her defensively, shaking her head. “Umn. I-I can explain Ma’am--!”

Mrs. Sparrow smiled at Roya's reply. Nodding to her, she then looked to Yugi and stretched impressively, then cutting her eyes back to Roya.

"Well, that simply won't do. You need something comfortable to sleep in----" as soon as she said this, as if from nowhere four female attendants stepped out of a hallway out of nowhere. They would approach Roya and ask her to follow, if she did they would escort her to a room--and present her with many different styles of night gowns, and sleepwear including shorts, and tops of various nature. As she came back, Yugi would sand there--in his boxers and with Roya's cloak on.

"And how many times have I told you to stop doing things naked!"

Yugi blushed and looked surprised, as if he'd forgotten the same as he had a moment ago when Roya had mentioned it mid-flight. Mrs. Sparrow would simply cross the room and hug Yugi for a long while, as Yugi honestly hugged back. Pulling apart he looked down on her, smiling a small smile. She would wait for Roya to fully join them before talking again.

"Well, have a seat." she wanted to know as much about Roya as she could. "Not you." she said, stopping Yugi as he made to sit down. She pointed him off without looking at him. "Your room is still in the same spot, don't wake your sisters." grumbling, and nearly fuming he stomped off comically draped in Roya's cloak and heart boxers. "Well, well, I guess we have a lot to discuss."

Mrs. Sparrow would start off by talking about random things like hair, not even prying one bit about Roya's arm. She would talk about her four children: Lucien, Yugi, Marygold, and Alexis. How each of them was different. Lucien a cop turned politician, and eventually Chairman. Yugi running away at the age of 13 and becoming a famous Dark Wizard. Marygold---a major bitch, but girly girl. And Alexis, a rebel child of the truest nature. She talked about the strength it took to survive alone without a man leading the way, or helping.

"Of course I had him here until the boys were about 13 or so. The girls were younger...that's when Yugi decided to run off after his Father. Lucien decided he would go to the Rune Knight academy....my twin boys, such different paths they took..." she sighed as she crossed her legs, ample figure sitting across from Roya's. "Seems you may know a thing or two about surviving without a man. You didn't have one when you met my Yugi." she made a slight joke, but also gave a bit of respect towards Roya with a nod--noting that she was by and by a survivor without even asking about her arm.

"Don't take it for granted. There are many women, your age and my age...still out drinking in bars, at nightclubs, or on the streets hoping; praying and looking for something like you and Yugi have, that's just pure like it is now. Something like me and his father used to have. It is going to be nearly impossible to get Yugi to take you as serious as he should. It's a man thing. Anyway, tell me about things in Desierto. Don't leave out any details, even the ones you haven't told my son these last few months in Talonia."

    ASHES, ASHES

Maybe it was a good idea to change… Roya shortly thanked the woman for sparing the sleepwear, She was a little unsatisfied with how the plaid tank top she picked out fit her abdomen, the source of her discomfort being her rack, her cleavage quite obvious though this. She stuck with a pair of sports shorts; she walked out of there dressed like quite the Tom beside Yugi’s mother and her pink nightgown.

Mrs. Sparrow re-entered the living room, leading her. A small grin curved her lips at the sight of their mother and son hug. She wished her parents could have had that kind of relationship… She didn’t even have foster parents; child protective services didn’t work things out for you where she was raised.

Watching as Yugi was shooed to his room, Roya carefully took a seat beside the woman against the couch, trying desperately not to sink into the plush cushions, probably the most expensive out there... She gulped wondering if their talk would go down interrogation style. Boy was she was wrong. It was far worse because the wind mage couldn’t stop talking at first. Roya couldn’t get a word in for about ten minutes.

Roya nearly fell asleep… listening to Mrs. Sparrow bounce around topics eventually telling her about Yugi’s family just as he had explained on the way in. She opened her arms again when
“Oh…Desierto?...” Roya echoed. She would have sat there and twiddled her thumbs nervously if she had two of them. Roya never really had the chance to go sightseeing within any of the three great cities run by the sultans… She couldn’t tell the woman about the glamourous desert life she may have been expecting. The poor lived outside the sultans walls of influence and safety.

“I can’t really tell you a whole lot about the inside.” She admitted, clearing her throat hesitantly. “The poor couldn’t afford to live within the cities and the law and protection of the Sultans…. Outside their territory is just a wasteland of slums, tribes, and people trying to get by really without any laws securing them. I kind of lived in a….slum community.” The girl grimaced. Truth be told she hadn’t even told Yugi much… for all he knew he thought of her as a standard Desierto residence. Instinctively, she glanced down the hallway Yugi had disappeared down.

Mrs. Sparrow listened carefully, and nodded only once when Roya was done. From nowhere, she seemed to rip open a bag of pretzels and start to eat randomly. Which might've surprised Roya, but she continued to as she listened. Putting them down only when Roya was done, slapping her hands together to knock some leftover salt off.

"Well...interesting. I lived a pretty slummy life myself before I met Yugi's father." she rolled her eyes, looking to the side and blushing. As if recalling things she'd done but then looking rather somber. "I wasn't asking so much where you lived, but how you lived." she looked over at the girl, twenty years her junior at least. With a warm smile, a maternal 'just a baby' instinct passed through her as she looked at Roya.

"Maybe we'll leave it at, we have a lot in common?" Mrs. Sparrow would talk more about her past with Roya, but there were some things Yugi definitely should not hear. Especially about her experiences with men--Roya on the other hand would probably be able to be a good mirror to bounce things off of. Mothers kept a lot from their children, one could only imagine. With a long look as if exchanging unsaid stories, Mrs. Sparrow would look up as Yugi would re-enter the room. "There are some things that you won't tell Yugi right? He should see you as you are, not as you were....if that past finds you, let it find you with him at your side." she hurried and said this as his approaching footsteps stopped just near them.

"Girl talk time is up damnit." he grumbled with his hands in his pajama pockets. What was hilarious is that his pajamas were Zebra themed. "Damnit...there was nothing else to wear..." Yugi stood in a comical moment in the pajamas, for some reason sparkling which annoyed him.

As soon as he set eyes on Roya he noticed that her thighs and ass were almost busting out of her shorts, and her top? Well. Let's just say he had to look away, randomly out the window as he blushed.

'If she gets any closer to me dressed like that....'

"Did you really need to have a talk with her?! Don't go telling to many secrets Mom!" he groaned as his mother threw a broom from across the room with a large gust of wind with just a wave of her hand. It smacked Yugi in the forehead harshly. Grabbing onto his now humming head, Yugi fumed and balled up a fist. As his mother smiled innocently in the background. Yugi grumbled and cursed a bit more, even funnier in his Zebra hoodie and pajamapants.

"I am not a happy Zebra!!!" Yugi added as he pointed at them both with a red mark on his face from the broom. "Roya do something to make me feel better!!!"

    Find me the great
    And I will be greater
    Roya, Yugi
Upon emerging out of the tavern filled with smoke and flames, sword in hand, a name was spelt out in front of his eyes. Shimmering letters, hot as a forge, bright as sun. But visible. Oak Town. The city of all history, cultural capital of Fiore. A grin appeared on Lyserg's lips. A challenge? Or perhaps an invitation? Yugi had seemed more like a boy to send out a challenge. Before any thought process could finish, Lyserg had already mentally accepted. He would move towards downtown. Even if a boxcar of hellish fire had just trashed an entire city street, the black markets would not be irritated. He was bound to find a teleportation device that could transport him once in there. And as he knew Oak Town, jumping in such a fashion should not be such a difficult task.

Magical currents, appearing as blue electricity beamed all around in the sky above Oak Town. The afternoon in the market district was bound to be heavily crowded. And a loud crashing noise bellowing through the block after which a man crashed down through the sky did pull some attention. Black Market teleportation devices were often not perfect. But to drop him so far off from where he had intended to, as well as mis-judging the altitude he aimed for was a little bit too much for the mage that was used to higher standards. Fixing the mishaps and asking his way through to find towards the Sparrow estate, he found his path. Arriving at the heavily guarded mansion, he was immediately looked at with doubtful eyes. Not he like he ever bothered with such things.

The neat thing about being able to fiddle with time was that a single spell could get you into such a facility with ease. An application he liked to call "Rift" enabled him to phase through the front gate, all the assaults from guards and guildsmen yelling, calling and attempting to catch him. And that, for an extended amount of time. Doors, walls, ceilings. Lyserg's steps made little sound, and following the density of hired bouncers, he made his way throughout the building. An angry mob following him creating tumult over several floors, Lyserg was quite sure that he was bound to grab some attention. Turning left several times, then turning right several times, flying past staircases and asking some unaware bypassers where the Sparrows were currently habitated, Lyserg was directed towards the living room.

Without opening the door, Lyserg flashed through. Several enraged guards had seen him do so as they had followed him the entire time without being able to do a single thing to him. Standing amidst a Yugi dressed in a laughable night gown as well as Roya, the girl from before, and what appeared to be Yugi's mother, Lyserg sighed. Crossing his arms, he leered to Yugi. A simple "I have arrived." Escaped his lips just as a bunch of overly alert sentinels came crashing in. "Misses Sparrow, we duly apologize, but for some reason this man was able to slip past each and every one of us with every attempt of stopping him phasing right through!!" A forced revelation, as Lyserg felt. He turned around, facing the sweating knights. "A simple 'we were utterly incompetent' would have sufficed." He jested, peering back at Yugi. "I'm not here for chit-chat however Yugi, nor did I intend to bust your party. You called me here, so let us begin." The fully geared Lyserg, in armor and cloak boasted confidence. Guards continuously attempted to grab him. Their fingers merely phasing through his body as he stood there, musing at the architecture and tastefully furnished living room.

    Post by Yugi-Sempai 22nd June 2015, 1:01 am

All of a sudden, Yugi began hearing footsteps go off upstairs--as a shot of him looking up with a "???" over his head was shown. The footsteps would pat one direction, then pat another....then another.

For awhile, Yugi, his mother, and probably Roya would stare upstairs and just...listen as something seemed to be going on. There were literally people running around up there. Yugi doubted his sisters were chasing one another over a comb or something---but hey, anything could happen with those two. Eventually, out of nowhere.

The Tartarus wizard from before phased through a wall as, guards came running so hard behind him that they literally left a huge chip in the door from banging into it so hard. Yugi would immediately kick the couch so hard that Roya sitting on it would slide way to the left.

The guards were grasping and grabbing at Lyserg just as Yugi's mother stood up and readied herself. Yugi however held up a hand and told her to step aside with just a look. She obliged, but not before looking back at the man one time. The Kugeki guards and Sparrow Manor guards took to swinging their sword right through Lyserg who swayed as if he was a literal ghost of some kind. Yugi took note of this enchantment as he watched a few times at this fruitless effort until Lyserg spoke.

"That's enough." Yugi said, although wearing a zebra pajama outfit with a hoodie he looked like he was stone cold serious. "If you battle me, I can promise you one thing." a shot of Yugi looking straight at Lyserg was shown as he still hand his hand out to the side. "You will lose."

Yugi smiled at Lyserg briefly. A combative thrill of a smile.

"I called you here, to talk but if you want to try me." Yugi would then rip the top half of his zebra pajamas off, leaving him with only zebra pants on. Yugi didn't think that this guy was foolish, if he really was challenging Yugi he must've been something else himself. He'd just witnessed how powerful Yugi was firsthand, but still; he was not afraid. "Intangibility, interesting concept." smiling once more, Yugi readied himself into a fighting position.

"Wait! Yugi NO! Can't you guys take this outside!!! If you're going to put your hands on my boy, then I suggest you------hmm this guy is kind of attractive." comically, from Mrs. Sparrow's point of view, Lyserg was sparkling with bubbles all around him, cape flowing in his armor and blade drawn. "Yugi can't you just talk it out with this guy?" a shocked Yugi's head grew comically as he yelled at his mother; she waved one hand as if too shoo his protest away. Yugi would then turn his attention back to Lyserg.

"Well, the first move is yours then. Do go easy on the furniture." Yugi took a step slightly back, shifting his foot incase he needed to spring forward or in any direction.

"Hm........let's see what happens then." Mrs. Sparrow merely stepped back and crossed her arms. The guards flew into a panic at her, saying that she'd cause a huge problem in Oak Town. "Eh? Someone's always causing trouble here anyways...either they're trying to break into Oak Temple for the Library or just...causing problems in general, another huge-ass wizards duel in the middle of town won't really be anything of a problem for this town." the guards merely gulped and got sweatdrops over their heads. As a shirtless, and zebra pajama pants wearing Yugi squared off against what appeared to be a fully clad knight.

Expecting him to phase through the floor, or from behind him, or from any direction really. Yugi merely kept his position. If he wasn't worried about melting the entirety of Sparrow Manor, he would just raise the temperature, skyrocket it too the point where anyone here could barely, see or breath. Even this intangible wizard here, would feel the effects of heat or lack of air. Yugi hadn't been just sitting around for all his days, he'd thought of a way to take on nearly every magic--and if it was something new like this, he put what lessons he could together.

'Well...I can't melt moms house down...let's see what he does. I'll just get him outside as soon as I can, maybe throw him through a window or blow up a piece of a wall........' although Sparrow Manor was huge, they could easily fight for hours in the hallways and corridors and not see anyone, it was as big as Wayne Manor in Gotham if not bigger. Waiting patiently, Yugi just stared at Lyserg from across the room.

You want to bring back someone that you’ve lost. You might want money. Maybe you want to protect the world. These are all common things people want. Things that their hearts desire. Greed may not be good, but it’s not so bad either. You think greed is just for money and power! But everyone wants something they don’t have.

Royas eyes veered wide at the sight of the guy from the bar; the one that had just passed straight through the door! “Wait, who invite--“ The girl was cut off as a forceful kick planted itself against the couch she sat accost. The sofa came sliding across the wood floor, Roya still planted down on it as its sailed gracefully across the room, skidding through those polished mansion floors... Well, all until it came to hard break against the wall. The sudden and violent jerk it dented into the walled surface and lurched Roya to the left, face planting into the cushion.

After flopping around like a Magikarp out of water for about two minutes she managed to unbury herself from the sand trap of couch cushions devouring her, single handedly! Roya sighed in relief, a puff passing her lips comically as she finally managed to stand back up to her feet in her racy fitting camisole and shorts. Her bandaged stub of an arm was now clearly visible to this bar guy who followed them here but with the situation at hand she could care less.

She got a good listen from what was going on even from the corner of the room she had been shipped to along with the couch. Roya and Yugi were already suited up for some well-deserved sleep… She wasn’t about to let some little kid brawl ruin that “Ehem.” Roya coughed loudly, her voice bouncing around the spacious room as she padded her way across the floor towards them. She headed their way around the antique furnishings she exchanged a glance with everyone in the room, including those dopey knights who failed to do their jobs.
“Too bad there won’t be a huge ass wizard duel.” Roya said as she arrived within vicinity to snag Yugi up by his ear, whirling him around to face her. She glanced up to the wizard sternly just as she shifted her weight to the side, planting her intact arm against her hip; her breasts gave an unnecessary comedic bounce in her tank top at this.

“Insteaddddd, How about we wash up and head off to bed, surely you can’t resist that offer. “  Roya spoke, shooting him a suggestive little smirk. With that, she slung that tattooed arm of hers around his waist too haul his body to hers. She turned to the

“Certaintly you don’t mind postponing till the morning, Dante was it?” She sounded rather chipper, an absolute contrast from her visage. Sea-green irises sharpened and narrowed darkly to blame him over the whole bounty ordeal that went down at the bar back in Talonia before lightening to turn back to Yugi and tug his waist, urging him away.

    Find me the great
    And I will be greater
    Roya, Yugi
Youth. A juvenile attitude that led one to believe any- and everything was a challenge. Not a twinkling spark of reason could keep the young ones from recklessesly jumping at the first sight of danger. Any opportunity that opened up was a new experience. For most humans, life was fleeting. Patience not a virtue, but a waste of time. And to an extent, Lyserg understood. The extent, however, that caused a half torn zebra-night gown to flutter through the air and land above the brick-built fireplace so beautifully designed, was too much for him. Whilst things flew left and right, guards grabbed through him, relentlessly trying to pursue their meaningless jobs, and some naive ergot thinking he came here to fight for no good reason whatsoever, his hand couldn't help but rest at temple, over which a vein had shown itself, growing proportionally to the amount of commotion in this otherwise tranquile living room.

Eyes shut waiting for it all to blow over, just very short from giving up and leaving, a voice proposed an idea. An idea that at least had the correct direction, albeit him not agreeing to it. A smile, directed at the girl. A psychotic glare, ready to rip anyone's head off, and gritted teeth between which words were pronounciated. "I do not know where mister Sparrow got the idea that I would agree to a 'huge-arse-wizard-duel'..." Lyserg said, his slits closing once more, heaving a sigh outwards. Moving over to a comfortable looking couch, he took his seat. Looking at Yugi, who was battle-ready, half-naked with a misplaced grit in his face. "I forfeit, so there you have your fight." A thoughtful claim, beckoning the end of circumstance. "I really... just took the quickest way in... which happened to be past all of those mongs." A leather-padded hand waved over to the group of soldiers, who were beginning to have no idea what they were actually doing here.

"So... might you tell me what I was to come here for now?" Stoic face, aligned perfectly with straight seated stature and tyrannical gaze. "Because lest I remember, you were the one who wrote it out for me. 'Oak Town'. Was it not?" A question in remembrance. Deafening atmosphere comforted itself throughout the room. In scorn of Yugi's attitude, Lyserg payed him no glance. Instead looking at his mother, who seemed to be awfully unstruck by this situation. Wishing to signal her to call the young lad off his blood-boiling, unreasonably grinding choice of actions. Lyserg was truly starting to question his choice of coming here. Yugi's intuition could be likened to that of a deaf-blind, three-legged street rat.

Even with Roya hanging off of him, Yugi didn't even bother looking at her. Her curves and impressive body pressed up against him as her voice---usually enough to get him to walk away from any situation, didn't even make him budge.

Instead he just stared at Lyserg.

"Wouldn't...accept?" Yugi would fume for a moment, furrowing his eyebrows at the man. "You put a gigantic hit out on me in Talonia.....ruined what little peace I had...and you think I give a fuck whether you ACCEPT or not?" Yugi was baffled by this man's reasoning. However, it had been fun to torch those who would betray him for such a reason; for that he had to thank the man eventually. Perhaps, just maybe from his tone of voice, Yugi hadn't been giving him the respect he deserved. Perhaps he was as smart as Yugi after all---who knew; Yugi had met many ancients and magical beings along the way to this very moment. He had no way of knowing. "You put a hit out on somebody and then FORFEIT when they're ready to utterly destroy you?!" Yugi was utterly baffled and wondered what planet this man lived on, because it wasn't Earthland. You don't do that to someone and then act this way. He had half a mind to utterly snap any moment. However, he still needed to talk to this man.

Actually, he himself was more interested in whether or not the man had any of his old Black Magic Ritual tomes or grimiores laying around at the new Tartarus HQ. He didn't know if this man was a practitioner of any magicks of that sort. But he clearly had some kind of supreme control over space, perhaps time. Indeed, Yugi wondered how deep his mastery went.

"That's enough Yugi calm down." his mother said only once, raising a hand as Yugi would look at her; meet her eyes and then look down at the ground, Roya still hanging off of him. Not daring to even question a word she said; even in a fury, such was his respect for her. "Tell him why you asked him here." he would look up at her, and then back to the man, then to Roya. Then once more to the blonde wizard.

"I......was thinking. As everything happened in Talonia. That I need to keep those dear to me safe." he would look at the blonde man once more, deciding to speak to him with respect from now on. "Honestly, I was trying to pick up the pieces from my past actions.....be under the radar....Roya however, told me that she herself had heard of Acnologia and the Black Dragon...the incidents in Era. Even though she was from another country...she let me know back then that she didn't think there would ever be any redemption for me...." Yugi seemed somewhat somber as he mentioned this, wondering if there was any way to right taking 100,000 innocent lives to pursue ones own goals. The fact that he was now cursed, cursed without hope of redemption, almost drove him mad. He refused to accept it. "I'm sorry, I lashed out. I've just worked hard to let go of the past---and here it is standing in front of me again." Yugi referenced the mans connection to Tartarus, wondering just how connected he was with them after all.

"I'd like you to keep Roya safe." he said without even looking at Roya, or asking her permission. "After what you pulled in Talonia, there will be even more people after me." he was angry with the blonde wizard for that, beyond angry in fact; but some change could be a blessing in disguise. Yugi wasn't the type to flip out after a car crash, or losing something valuable; he was the type to ask what doors it had opened for him. "Families who want revenge, Rune Knights who won't accept my pardon, and now an endless amount of Guildless Wizards looking to clear their names..." he would sigh once. "Roya has been seen with me........I don't want any harm to befall her."

A rare show of empathy for...anyone or anything besides his goals. He would realize that if he wanted to get to someone, he'd just kidnap their wife or daughter or love interest, or something of that nature. He didn't know what he and Roya were but he was sure she would fall into that category. He needed a way to keep her safe.

"Do you think before you take action, or do you just do things without a means to an end?" he seriously wondered whether this blonde wizard was insane or just someone who planned fifteen steps ahead like his brother, Count Sparrow; because his actions made no literal sense to Yugi. Anyone else would be trying to kill this man right now, and it would be perfectly reasonable. However, Yugi saw opportunity. To learn, to become even more than he was now. A famous Dark Wizard? That was alright. But he had much bigger designs on Fiore as a whole. "Anyway.........tell me. Tartarus. Have you truly brought it back? Or was everything you said over that Lacrima just another scheme of yours?" if the answer was anything resembling a yes, he would feel a bit more comfortable around the man. His brother, Count Sparrow; had similar methodology to this man. Using pindrops, and weaving webs of influence---his brother as Chairman had a network of spies feared not just in this nation, but around the entire world. Likely he still did. Yugi however had always been good at slipping through those webs, at solving puzzles, enigmas, and riddles. It was a talent of his---he was somewhat a genius at figuring out these types of situations. He couldn't believe he'd met another person who could be a possible rival to Lucien.

His mother would wait patiently for a reply as well. Knowing full well that with the amount of hits and issues her son being here at the family house in Oak Town brought---would want him to have somewhere to be safe once more. Since Talonia thanks to this man was no longer an option.

"Well? Are you ready to explain YOUR actions? Regardless of if I didn't meet up with you or not." Yugi shook his head, wondering if the man grasped the magnitude of his actions. He'd absorbed thousands of Demons into his soul, summoned spirits from netherealms just to converse with them on magical theories, killed hundreds of thousands in one day. Aside from some rigged spellbooks and spirits from said books who might emerge at the new Tartarus looking to hang out or converse with Yugi, along with some black contracts with drug dealers and the like---he couldn't understand why this man would pursue him. There must've been a larger plan at work. He would wonder just what it was this man had going for himself, and or the new Tartarus. He also wanted to keep Roya safe from the shitstorm he'd just dragged her into.

You want to bring back someone that you’ve lost. You might want money. Maybe you want to protect the world. These are all common things people want. Things that their hearts desire. Greed may not be good, but it’s not so bad either. You think greed is just for money and power! But everyone wants something they don’t have.

An invisible sigh eased off her lips and her blue-green pools of hers glanced to her feet. Roya found herself squeezing his waist between her arm. Yugi didn’t need to worry about protecting her or anything, that's what she thought of it…"C’mon… I’ll be fine. I can look out for myself.” Roya whispered beneath her breath, managing her voice to a level which only he himself could hear. The foreigner didn’t throw away her arm up for nothing; it was so she could be a mage. It was so she could fight and defend herself. Now Yugi got her thinking… Was it really enough? Sure she could spark a couple nice flames… but was that anything compared to what he, the culprit of the Era crisis who had summoned Arconologia… and as for the man he faced?  He was the ringleader of an entire dark guild. She could feel the weight of magic pressure in the air without even thinking about it. Everyone’s strength here rivaled her own by a long shot; even Mrs. Sparrow’s power trampled her.

She gave up a lot more than her arm. Only because Roya expected she was getting more than this little bit of magic strength that day, wasnt that fair?… That day She remembered it in the finest detail: The sensation of her palm coiled around that burnt stub of a right limb, the ashes the inflamed arm wafting to her knees which she sat. Visage quivering, She had waited for the little mass of grey flames flickering across the ground in front of her,Monokuroen, to speak yet again.

“The more Sin and Ravage you cause the greater our strength will be the more powerful I grow and the stronger my flame shall become.”

This is the piece where they finally, finally shook on it, the part where an eighteen year old Roya reached out to caress that little ball of fire. She felt its heat snake up her arm on contact, a burning sensation beyond anything she had imagined. Let’s just say the deal didn’t leave any burns but the young lady did stumble out of there with an odd arm tattoo she didn’t remember getting or could never had afforded

Roya had made a deal with a demon, something she hadn’t told Yugi or anyone of.
“Tartarus is reformed, Yugi.”  Roya answered suddenly for the man, Lyserg. She paused as if to seek Yugi’s own reaction before she began to explain how she knew the answer in the first place. “Back in Hargeon, that mage I was with before we set the café on fire, He had the mark on his hand. He did not deny being a piece of Tartarus but rather basked in it.” She sighed this, knowing it probably wasn’t an answer he wanted to hear. She abled his waist from her grip only to free a hand to rub the nape of her neck awkwardly as the two conversed.

From then on… it may be better for her to say quiet, let them talk this whole mess out. Roya felt herself glance to Mrs. Sparrow, whom she also felt had been put on the bleachers.

    Find me the great
    And I will be greater
    Yugi, Roya
"Honestly, I was trying to pick up the pieces from my past actions.....be under the radar...." Redemption was a funny thing. It led people to believe mistakes were able to be undone. That a bad, morally questionable, socially inacceptable action could be disassociated with by committing to an equally, morally unqestionable, good action that benefitted society. Humorous, and somewhat entertaining to Lyserg. As if there was some way to cope, undo or distance yourself from your past. People loved starting new lives. It was the reason this little tool he kept in a pocket of his cloak, a little flat, circular disk, was so powerful. Enough that it moved people. Drove people. Incepted thoughts and desires into people. It was powerful enough to control those without control over themselves. Such a tool, it was entertaining to Lyserg. That was all there was to it. "I'm sorry, I lashed out. I've just worked hard to let go of the past---and here it is standing in front of me again."

Lyserg simply listened, paced through his mind on how to respond. Yugi was like a waterfall. Barely let anyone else speak, words upon words. A large number of them repetitive, insubstantial or meaningless. He was a do'er, as Lyserg liked to put it. Not a thinker. Yugi rushed into situations. It was the reason he had blurted out his name so openly several hours before in that bar, it was the reason he did not hesitate to burn down the bar and leave in a flash, it was the reason he had challenged him to a fight without even questioning his motives first. As if laying out tarot cards before him, Yugi depended on his instinct alone. On his feeling. Or so, Lyserg's impression was. The hasty young man acted more like a boy. Immature, and still juvenile. "Do you think before you take action, or do you just do things without a means to an end?"

Yugi did not, could not understand him. That was not to blame. Few managed to comprehend the thicket of thoughts that coursed beneath the strands of blonde hair falling down from his face. Crossed arms signified the desire to speak, to respond. An opportunity that did not come up. "Anyway.........tell me. Tartarus. Have you truly brought it back? Or was everything you said over that Lacrima just another scheme of yours?" Parted lips, the sound of an answer building up. Muted, by the dark-haired woman, a doubting glare directed at him. How exactly she came to such knowledge? Nai, Lyserg remembered as she spoke it. He would certainly have to squeeze some things out of him later.

"Well? Are you ready to explain YOUR actions? Regardless of if I didn't meet up with you or not." And as if a wonder occured, silence befell the living room. The guards had silently left the room and removed themselves entirely from the hallway. Yugi's mother had kindly ordered them to do so. But just yet, Lyserg remained in silence. Pupils moved skywards, and arms stretched out. A loud crack resonating from both, he let out a relieved sigh, his face brightened up and a tranquile smile marked his expression. "Well now, is it my turn to speak?" Lyserg asked sarcastically. Albeit not quite liking the use of sarcasm, he could not help himself as of now. Talking around the case, not getting to the point, with him, was annoying.

Scavenging through his pockets, his right hand pulled out a small disc. The small disc. The clean slate. "This." Lyserg spoke, holding up, showing what he had on himself. "The clean slate. Auctioned. From someone and somewhere I won't name. But I wanted to try it out. After you never arrived to our meeting... I was concerned. Concerned with what would happen to the mark." Lyserg spoke non-chalantly. In chunks, only short breaks between words and sentences. "You know, the mark formerly belonging to you.. and the others of Tartarus." Explaining clearly, Lyserg wished to answer any questions there may be. "I simply wanted to speak to you. Finding you turned out difficult, until I heard you were in Talonia. An anarchic city where criminals primarily reigned. And so I decided to auction this." He stated, wiggling the clean slate around like a toy between his fingers.

"I was almost sure I would never have found you, so I devised a method. One of the people who runs Talonia, Luke. I simply asked him to call out a hunt for you. He's a strange bloke by the way. But I thought it could smoke you out. Get you out of whatever hole you were in. And what do you know, it worked. It was chance that you slandered into the bar right when the entire thing was called out." Concluding his explanation. "And let us be real, it was not me who attacked you, it was not me who called out the hunt, it was not me who created the clean slate. I feel no shame in what I did." Calm as ever, Lyserg tossed the little disk in his hand over to Yugi. "Now I have no use for it anymore, do what you wish with it." Not a tool to create peace between them, not something unpucker their confrontational relationship up until now.

Lyserg stood up now. "I don't lie, I don't cheat my way through anything. That is not my style. I use what tools I can find. And I won't pardon myself for the things I do." Strenuous, strict voice directed at Yugi. "I also don't engage in fights I don't want to fight." He added. "I don't owe you anything either. Not an apology, and not protection over your woman, whom I believe is perfectly capable of protecting herself if she weren't with you." His tone shifted into a somewhat provocative, reproachful flux. "Also, you are mighty audacious to ask that of me, to be very honest with you. You flirt with a girl, take her with you, associate with her and make decisions for her. And you want to tell me to look after her? Because of what I 'did in Talonia'?" His fingers physically emphasized the quotation marks.

"You were the one that brought yourself into the circumstance of needing to hide where you did. You were the one that decided to find a spot amidst those people. And they are the people that decided a clean slate is worth more than loyalty. Not me. I merely showed the people an opportunity. They could have not attacked you, the patriarch of Talonia could have rejected my pay, you could have decided NOT to unseal a dragon more powerful than the entire army of Fiore. I did not make these decisions for you, and I won't take responsibility for the circumstance you put yourself into."

Lyserg's eyes pierced at Yugi. Words sharp as a sword. "You are arrogant to think I am responsible for anything that happened. I did not scheme anything. If any one person in the chain of the creator of the clean slate, you, the auctioner who decided to sell that thing, the patriarch of Talonia, and again, you, would have made different choices, none of this would have happened." Lyserg's voice grew calmer, taunting, impeaching upon Yugi. "And you want to know if I brought Tartarus back? I merely use the name and the symbol. Any former meaning it had is menial and does not apply anymore. I like challenges, and I know what people think of it. That is why I decided it might be fun to use it for my own undertakings. I brought nothing back. Nothing from before."

All the while, Lyserg had spoken brashly, a monologue. Precise placements of words would have cut off anyone that dared to interrupt him. His voice, his tone, his stature, his gestures, his expression, they all towered over the entire room, over everyone in it. His spirit had taken the gas pedal, his passion the steering wheel. When Lyserg spoke his mind, you could either leave or listen. But reply before he finished was not an option.

    Post by Yugi-Sempai 25th June 2015, 4:52 pm

Yugi held onto Roya as she spoke, looking down at her for the first time as he heard her voice. He wondered how she felt about all of this, he'd ask her soon enough. Or maybe he'd let her show him. What she said however, shocked him.

"It IS, reformed?" his thoughts raced, as memories poured back into him. He merely thought about the past as she let go of him, only pulling himself back at the sound of her voice once more. '...They already put her in danger once?' growing furious on the inside for just a split second of rage he quickly shook it off with a somber head shake.

Until the man's voice broke once more into the large ornate room.

Yugi listened carefully to this man, he wondered how long he'd been able to work and live this way. Apparently, from his tone of voice he had been able to do so for quite some time. When he held up the small disc, Yugi's brow furrowed as he listened intently. Somewhat amazed that such a thing existed, he thought once more about the inner workings of the political world; and how some schemes used the craziest gears to spin forward their machinations.

As he recounted Yugi's own actions the twenty three year old looked at the floor; able to almost visualize each statement he made. This man seemed to have such a clear voice, as if he was sure of everything he was saying. Such balance, he'd seen it before. He thought he was beginning to understand the way this man thought.

But he seemed really aloof. As in, aloof and undetatched in a way that made Yugi somewhat uncomfortable. Although it could be seen as humourous to some. All of the steps though..the steps Yugi had taken to conceal his wherabouts. They were undone by a combination of the greed of others, and his own actions.

"Hm...." Yugi was glad this man had done away with everything that the old Tartarus had stood for, a small smile curved onto his lips as a goal of his had been accomplished without him even having to lift a finger to do it. This man was another victim of what Yugi called paradigm thought pattern. He seemed to think that Yugi didn't think things through, that because of his youth he was arrogant or hot-headed. Perhaps at times, but he was glad to let his true intelligence sit below the radar for someone like this. However, his brilliance was renowned, so he wondered for a moment why this man was so provocative.

All of his actions, even his words and the quotation marks he used while speaking. Shaking his head, Yugi would sigh. He was too smart for this, he wouldn't get caught up in anyone's games.

"Look, I only asked you because Roya is---more than family to me. You seem to be a smart guy, so if you know who I am and what I've done you know I was selfish to begin this.....with her. Just that alone puts her in danger. It's true, I've put her in this circumstance. But we would've been just fine without you having done what you did." Yugi shook his head, it would've just been another night in Talonia. "But now, she's been seen with me and I just want her to be safe. Don't make a thing out of it." Yugi said because he had a feeling this man was the type to over analyze things. He hoped one day, no matter how many days he'd already been around that this man learned that sometimes people will do anything to keep the ones they cared for safe. His own brother had spared his life even when the entire world had wanted him executed--he was sure a part of his brother wanted him done with as well. But another feeling, something Yugi had studied relentlessly to ascertain it's meaning---it was the desire to move beyond the pain of the past that conquered in those critical decision making moments that crossed one from time to time.

"Look, I've created life itself. Forged beings from nothing, I don't need you to tell ME about creating something anew." he had a less angry and defensive face now, appreciating the mans words as his expression didn't match what he'd just said. "Good....I...I'm glad." he said finally looking at the man with a normal expression. "I brought nothing but ruin and chaos upon the world with Tartarus....I'm glad it's nothing but dust and memories." he looked at a clenched fist that he made almost by habit. As if blaming himself. Closing his eyes and shaking his head, he would open them again this time to look directly at the man again.

In spite of all of his genius, Yugi unlike his twin Lucien was always the type too take action when it was needed. This was one of those moments.

"Take me with you, show me what you've built." Yugi would step forward once. Hands in his pockets. One of the most famous Dark Wizards in the world had let his guard down---this mans intelligence doing the trick. He could tell that there was far more he could learn from this individual. Yugi himself didn't get where he was by spitting in everyone's face along the way. "And if you've noticed, I haven't laid a hand on you myself." he retorted to one of the mans earlier comments. "I've also noticed your use of Space and Time....it's like nothing I've ever seen before. The precise control is amazing..." by now, Yugi was standing next to Lyserg but facing a different direction--as a shot of them both on screen was shown facing opposite directions.

Being who many considered to be the magical prodigy and genius of his generation---a wasted talent in many archmages and elders eyes due to his actions---Yugi was vastly intrigued by his ability to sustain spatial manipulations for so long. 'At that rate he must be....'

Yugi mused for awhile, eyes closed as he looked up opening them.

"I have some control over that myself, albeit it's juvenile compared to yours." as he said this, a small pair of demon horns would grow on Yugi's head as he closed his eyes and detached himself from the force and flow of time around him, pulling himself out of existence slightly of the timeline in which they all were standing as he understood it. One of the demons he'd absorbed when he was getting rid of his many creations, it must've had some mastery over Space and Time.

"So.....you see." Yugi swiped his hand through a table to show he was intangible just like the wizard before him. "I've still got a lot to learn." Yugi's horns would grow back into his head as he rubbed his hair, back to normal. "But I believe I'm well on my way." the Dark Wizard, War smiled as he stood side by side with Lyserg, but looking out of the window in front of him as the man still faced the other way. "What is your name?" Yugi would ask as he started to look more, and more solid, fading back in like a ghost with his hand in his pocket. He wanted to know, and realized he'd been so caught up in anger and the sorrow of the past that he hadn't even bothered to ask him.

The Meaning of Family Empty Re: The Meaning of Family

Post by Roya 26th June 2015, 4:01 pm

You want to bring back someone that you’ve lost. You might want money. Maybe you want to protect the world. These are all common things people want. Things that their hearts desire. Greed may not be good, but it’s not so bad either. You think greed is just for money and power! But everyone wants something they don’t have.

Roya's eyes stalked the slate juggling between his fingers closely, following as it drifted to Yugi’s hand. She kept her gaze with the disk in his hands. No Lyserg didn’t attack Yugi or call out that hunt… but he was the one who brought it up to Luke and now they couldn’t possibly go back home without people trying to nab Yugi or even herself.

Sure she was pretty pathetic comparison to magic strength compared to the two of them… but did her safety really have to be its own little discussion here? Roya would find herself agreeing with the mage she met at the bar on this one. Sure she was capable of looking out for herself…

Little by little she simply stopped listening. The whole rest of that monologue seemed to going through one ear and out the other with her, eyes veering around the furnishings, the walls framing the massive room, out the windows. She was standing idle like the little kid between the two adults and their grown up talk.

That voice of his eventually closed, replaced with the familiar sound of her Yugi’s words… Roya’s attention seemed to shift back around to them; she felt it far easier to listen to Yugi speak.

Family?... She seemed to blink as Yugi said this. They weren’t even related biologically, how could she be more than family? She thought to ask but now wasn’t the time for stupid questions like that, not that she could get a word through the persistent voice of Lyserg. Family? She delved into the meaning of the word once more, completely lost. Roya had her mother, whom had been burned to a pile of ash by these flames of hers. As for her father? She could care less about what he was doing…. Those were the only relatives Roya knew of. There had to be more in Deserito… but she didn’t care for aunts, cousins, in-laws they all had lived in the sanctuary of the city.

Did Family mean something different here in Fiore? Or maybe there was simply another definition she had never come across through her little amounts of teaching her mom had offered…

Roya watched as Yugi stepped to Lyserg, his words reverberating in her head. She only followed after him, unable to find herself giving him the slightest bit of space after this whole ordeal; she was practically glued to him.

“Hey now… You’re not running of anywhere to see what anyone’s built without me.” She said it simply; as if it was something he should obviously know like stopping at red lights or to turn off the water when you were done.

“You want to keep me safe don’t you?” Roya cleared her throat, briefly, as if taking a short little cough. “You can’t do much of keeping anyone safe if they aren’t around you. So I guess I’ve got to go anyways~” She stated this in an attempt to change his mind, If he wasn’t already convinced it was a good idea to take his girlfriend with him to a dark guild that was.

    Find me the great
    And I will be greater
    Roya, Yugi
It was frustrating, talking to Yugi Sparrow. His words, not eloquent. The way he carried himself, brutish. Loose shoulders, feet arythmically tapping to move him forward. Self-determined, sure. But there seemed to be only  vague sense of self-awareness in the muddle of it all. No grace or precision. Words that clicked, not based on thought, but on chance. The things he said, indeed not untrue. But content and flux were indiscriminately departed from one another. It felt as if he happened to hit the right notes. He was of the type of people Lyserg liked the least.

A natural. Others called those a genius. Those that did not require to go through strenuous hardships to arrive where they were. Not experience served as the basis of their skill, their intellect, but pure chance. Genes and circumstance. And whilst that on its own was not wrong or disliked by Lyserg, it was the way it affected the people that were given opportunities by nature. Negatively. It caused haughtiness, and oftentimes reduced the ability of logical self-perception.

Lyserg faced Yugi with indifference. His words of praise meant little to him. He was unable to take them seriously as of now. As he moved to stand side by side, there was not a shred of sympathy that surfaced. "Yes, great." He replied dryly. A hand raised itself to about the height of Yugi's head as he allowed himself to portray an attrited copy of the spell he had used to get in here. A gentle slap on the side of Yugi's arm. One that should have gone through, but did not. "You really do have a lot to learn." He commented non-chalantly. "But so do I." He added silently.

Lyserg tilted his head, beholding Yugi's smug visage as it looked out the window, self-satisfied. "You want to know my name? I propose a game: find it out yourself. If you manage to do that, I'll rethink taking on a fight with you." Tilting back, his gaze now puncutated at Roya, fixed at her. This entire time, Lyserg could not help but wonder how such a self-determined young woman could stand the presence of such an insufferable boy. His steps aligned themselves to carry him towards the brash, raddled looking girl.

He came to a halt, only a couple feet before her. A questioning expression leered up and about, skimming her presence. She was open, like a book. Easily readible. Intentionally however. This girl let anyone peer into who she was. A pleasant sight, to see a strong-willed woman bellow herself out through appearance. "My name is Lyserg." He announced with strong voice. "I have an offer. Come with me. Live with me and those who have accepted my offer. A place far away from the gutter you have lived in up until now. Dignified, free and unbound by those who seek to restrain you." He paused for a second. "You may take someone with you, if you wish to do so." He stated, a gesture hinting at Yugi. "How about it?"

Yugi held his head in frustration...trying to grapple with the mans way of thinking. When the man gave a tap on the shoulder, Yugi saw some glimmer of hope or some real explanation. But it quickly faded.

It seemed they both felt the same about one another in certain ways. Amazed that he could be in possession of a Program like the 'Clean Slate' and just wave it's power around to find him, Yugi had already decided that this guy no matter how stale and emotionless he seemed had plans of his own and had to admit the way he pulled it off was clever.

"No....of course I'll protect you." Yugi wouldn't comment further to this man about the past and what had led. He'd already tried to use words any sensible person would've understood he was still sort of an enigma to Yugi, something unknown. Yugi had seen some...pretty crazy wizards, do some pretty crazy things. So he would not underestimate anyone. "Hm...well." he looked to Roya as if to say the decision was hers. So far, this man had seemed nothing but dastardly, yet clever, wise, unimpressed. Yugi really didn't know what he was getting at.

Shrugging to himself, he would look around as his mother a wizard even more powerful than he merely nodded for them to continue.

Really decided to assess this man for the first time, Yugi would wonder how much of Earthland he'd seen already for only a split moment. The next thing he'd wonder is if he really reformed Tartarus, how much old information...how many old strings could Yugi pull if he went with him and found remnants from the first location. He also saw this as a great learning opportunity, his inner curiosity boiled but he also wondered how well versed this man was in the way of magick too have accomplished such a thing.

".....Well. I guess if I'm going to keep you safe. What do you want to do?" he would close his eyes and say once to Roya before looking at her. Yugi began to think clearly, no matter how intense meeting the man had been or their interactions were up until this point. He probably would take them somewhere far more off the radar than Talonia, and even more so than even some remote locations that Yugi knew of in Fiore. Which would frankly be good for them both. He wondered if Roya waned to go and check this place out, he'd already said that he did; and he'd meant it. Not one for repeating himself. He'd already also said he was glad the old Tartarus was dust. He wondered how good this guy was at paying attention, Yugi would see. A Make Wizard after all was blessed with a perfect memory, a gift and a curse.

Yugi still yet thought that the shadow of some of his past actions was not done haunting him. Just as the man had inferred earlier. Waiting for Roya to give the final word on whether they stayed or went, he would just stand there now still curious but unimpressed and annoyed at the seriousness with which this man carried himself at all time. Maybe he'd lighten up eventually. There were times to be serious, and times for relaxation. He hoped he knew the difference, and wasn't just a robot all the time.

“?” Roya blinked, the blonde's eyes facing her way. and when he moved in her direction to scan her closer? She couldn’t help but stiffen a tad.

“Lyserg,” Roya began, as if to taste the sound of his actual name. There was a long pause as she considered his proposal, her forest colored irises twitching from the man in front of her to Yugi, the windows which led to the outside world... she repeated his words in her head ' Dignified, free and unbound by those who seek to restrain you.'  Roya lived off that self-determination he had seen in her. She'd prefer to keep this freedom that took her eighteen long years to finally obtain. Yugi and Roya were practically kicked out of their home by this damn bounty and now they would have to spend their days running from it, sleeping with an eye--That was not freedom. Maybe it was safe, Tartarus, perhaps far away too?... this was the right move to make in a scenario like this, in Roya’s eyes at least.

“I’ll take your offer.” Roya said suddenly to break the silence. She turned her head gingerly turning to face Yugi. It was then that she spoke to him “Are we going to really pass up sanctuary?…”  Roya merely said, gazing up higher to meet Yugi on eye level. The mage wanted to convince him if he didn’t agree... She wondered if he would detest her choice.“We can’t stay here…or go back to Talonia I think we have to go… “

With this the pyro knelt to retrieve that parchment colored cloak of hers from the ground, likely left behind after he to his room to change initially. “Since you have a tendency to tear your clothes off, little zebra.” Roya pointed out as she proceeded to lead her coat over his bare shoulders yet again, unable to suppress that little smile of hers. Her hand slimmed down to find his, locking her palm and fingers into his grip. “What’s there to lose?...” Roya truly felt she was right… They had nowhere to go, bounties, and the only penalty the world would had to redeem them was death. Roya, for her serial building burnings, taking the lives of those inside and Yugi for the thousands more lives he destroyed the day he summoned Acnologia. “I say we go, both of us. You don’t have to follow me around for the sake of keeping me safe,Yugi. I just.... like being with you. So I want you to come.”

"How divine." Lyserg called out upon Roya accepting his proposal. His hands clapping together theatrically, a slight grin appearing beneath a satisfied stare going around the three individuals in the living room. It seemed these maniacal youngsters had taken his word for sanctuary and safety. Whilst truthful, it was not entirely truthful. Away from politics did not mean that there was no adventure hanging about every corner. Not to mention that there were still some things he felt he had to cover with Nai. But before he did that, there were several other things he felt required to do.

"Now then, pack your bags, children." His hands whirled up through the air in fluid motion. Provocative, condescending, but undeniably, somewhat entertaining. He knew the impression he had on people when he was his usual self. But he didn't mind. Eyes wandered over to the middle-aged woman standing aside. Yugi's mother, apparently. He could see the physical similarities in face and behavior. He smiled politely. "Thankyou for lending me your child. Miss Sparrow?" He asked with obvious intention. "I'll be sure to come back and give information on the status of your son." Turning back to the two, there was a final act. "Oh, I almost forgot. There is something I need you to do. Before we leave." He stated, peering at Roya, gesturing towards her, whilst grasping into his cloak once more and getting out a small metal satchel. Clicking it open, a small red cartridge of ink stared out into the empty. Dipping his index  into the fluid, a strong fluorescent crimson coated his fingertip. "The tattoo, where do you want it?" He asked non-chalantly.

“There’s nothing to pack.” Roya grumbled, a vex surfacing her features. It was true… they fled here with just their hides back in that bar when that bounty was called. The place where her and Yugi once lived, that penthouse of an apartment, had likely already been busted into and ransacked. Either way there was no way that she or Yugi could go to Talonia again.

Roya’s eyes seemed to lift as Lyserg turned her way. What else needed to be done before they left, really?… Before she could finish opening her mouth to ask the question he was already reaching into his cloak.

Gaping green eyes stared at the scarlet stained pad of his finger. Never being affiliated with a guild Roya had failed to remember the branding process which came with marrying oneself to a faction here in Fiore.

Never the less, Her decision was made up, and this would only make it permanent. Roya would just be sure to not let herself regret this... She coiled fingers around the hem of the lower corner of her blouse, raising it slightly to expose the imperfection less surface. The mage didn’t say a word; She figured Lyserg was smart enough to read the gesture towards her waist. She would accept the mark here. It was convenient in this place for she could conceal the mark easily under her cloth, yet flash it if need be.
