    Job Info:

Vivian stretched out her arms as she entered the city limits of Hargeon, taking a deep whiff of the salty sea air. "W-we're home, Vi!" She said happily in their shared mindspace, looking at the familiar sights.
"Don't count us out just yet," Vi said, although she was clearly relieved to be home as well. "You signed us up for one more crap job, remember?"
"Yes, I d-do," Vivian replied, looking over towards the large building across the way that said "CUSTOMS" on it in large, bland letters. "We have to g-go get a p-passport. Isn't it g-great? With one l-little strip of c-cardboard, we could g-go to Desierto! S-Seven! Even s-Sin! Isn't it w-wonderful?"
Vi snorted. "Yeah, 'wonderful' is a word for it," she muttered as the pair approached the customs building.

    --

The inside of the Customs building was just as bland as the pair was led to believe by the outside - everything was grey, with huge amounts of people standing in a line that almost went out the door. "I-is this the line for passports?" Vivian said, a little intimidated by the enormous line.
"Probably," Vi muttered. "Remember what the flier said? Everybody and their mother is signing up for this thing. We've got a long way to go."
Vivian sighed outwardly, drawing attention from a few people in the line for a moment. "I g-guess so," she replied, taking her place in the line.

    --

The line moved surprisingly quickly, but the sheer amount of people meant that Vivian and Vi were still standing there for a long while. To pass the time, the pair decided to observe a few of the people in the line. There was an enormous variety of people looking to get their passport; everybody from the most well-off nobles to the poorest beggars were looking to sign their way to a passport, and to a new hope for their world. In front of them was a hulking brute of a man who could probably snap them in half without a second thought; in front of him was a family of four led by a single mother, who tried her best to keep her kids from running amok. Everywhere they looked, variety leapt out at them.

    --

After what felt like an eternity, the pair finally reached the front of the room, where various people stood behind booths and led the citizens through the passport process. They were finally called over by a young woman who looked scarcely older than them, although she looked exhausted as well. "Please fill this out while I prepare the printer," she said tiredly to them as she handed them a piece of paper. Vivian took the nearby pen and filled in several blanks including her full name (Vivian Abrianna Carmello), Guild (Lamia Scale), and magical ability, if any (Memory Make). She then handed the other woman the paper, who took it and sighed once more. "Please wait while I print your passport," she said as she input the information on the sheet into the computer.

    --

After a few minutes, the woman pulled a passport out of a container on the other side of the wall. "Here's your passport, have a nice day, please come again," she muttered, obviously exhausted.
"Th-thank you," Vivian said gratefully as she accepted the passport and moved to leave the building, letting out a sigh of relief as she did. "That was b-boring," she said to Vi through their mental connection.
"Ugh, tell me about it," Vi responded. "At least the other two jobs involved moving, kind of. This one was Standing in Line: The Job."
Vivian giggled a little. "That was p-pretty funny, actually."
"What can I say?" Vi said as they exited into the open of Hargeon Town once more. "I'm a funny gal."
